Grupe was unsuccessful on a 36-yard field-goal attempt on the first play of the second quarter, but that was sandwiched between two successful 54-yard field-goal tries, the second of which took place on the final play of the first half. Grupe is a perfect 5-for-5 on field-goal attempts from 50-plus yards, and on the year he's converted 20 of 22 field-goal tries and 26 of 28 extra-point attempts through 12 regular-season games.

Grupe connected on 5-for-5 point-after tries during Sunday's 35-14 victory versus the Browns.

Grupe never got a chance to attempt a field goal as the Saints' offense rolled against Cleveland. The second-year kicker has now converted all but one of his kicking attempts over the last six weeks, missing just one field-try Week 8 versus the Chargers. Grupe missed a field goal for the first time this season, pushing a 44-yard attempt wide right during the fourth quarter. The second-year kicker still made field-goal tries of 40 and 43 yards, and he's now gone 13-for-14 on FGAs while making all but two of his 20 PATs through eight games. Grupe will look to make all of his tries during next week's game at Carolina on Sunday, Nov. 3.

The Saints' offense struggled with starting quarterback Derek Carr sidelined for the second week in a row. New Orleans scored 27 points during the second quarter of last week's loss to Tampa Bay, but its scored just 10 points in seven other quarters over the last two games. Nevertheless, Grupe has converted all 11 of his field-goal tries through seven contests this season, and his only misses have come on two of 20 PATs. Grupe will look to remain perfect from the field when the Saints take on the Chargers on Sunday, Oct. 27.

Grupe saw his workload bump back up after attempting just one field goal over the previous two contests. The second-year kicker hit field-goal tries of 42 and 29 yards in the second quarter, and he's now converted all 10 of his FGAs and all but two of his 19 PATs through the first six games of the season. Grupe and the Saints' offense will look to put up another prolific outing versus the Broncos on Thursday Night Football in Week 7.

Grupe did not attempt a field goal for the first time this season, and he missed a PAT for just the second time. The second-year kicker has now logged just four field-goal tries since Week 1. After rolling to back-to-back blowout wins to start the season, the Saints' offense has sputtered over the past three games. This only figures to get worst with quarterback Derek Carr expected to miss multiple weeks due to an oblique injury sustained Monday night. Grupe will hope to see more opportunities during next week's game versus the Falcons on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Considering Grupe followed up Thursday's absence with no practice limitations at all one day later, the DNP likely was for maintenance purposes. He's now set to handle place-kicking duties for the Saints on Monday at Kansas City, which so far has amounted to 8-for-8 on field-goal attempts and 13-for-14 on point-after tries through four games.

Grupe was held out of Thursday's practice due to a right hip injury.

Grupe ranks fifth among NFL kickers with at least three appearances at 9.3 points per game, which is powered by 8-for-8 on field-goal attempts and 13 of 14 point-after tries. The 5-foot-7 kicker didn't get any point-after-tries Week 3, as the Saints came up short on a two-point converstion attempt following their lone touchdown of the game. Grupe has been one of the NFL's most productive kickers thanks to the Saints' high-scoring offense over the first two games of the year. This unit will look to get back on track during next Sunday's road matchup versus the division-rival Falcons.

Grupe nailed his only field goal attempt and five of six extra-point tries during Sunday's 44-19 victory versus the Cowboys.

Grupe's lone miss came when his extra-point attempt was blocked following the Saints' final touchdown of the game. The 26-year-old recovered with a 26-yard field goal for the final score of the game late in the fourth quarter. Through two games, Grupe has gone 5-for-5 on field-goal attempts while converting all but one of his 11 PATs. He could have another productive outing if the Saints' offense continues to roll during next Sunday's home matchup versus the Eagles.

Across 17 regular-season games in 2023, the second-year pro out of Notre Dame went 30-for-37 on field-goal tries and only 14-for-19 on attempts of 40 or more yards. Therefore, Grupe going 3-for-3 on such attempts Sunday is an encouraging sign for his production moving forward this seasonn. He'll look to remain perfect during next Sunday's road matchup in Dallas.

Grupe went 1-for-1 on field-goal attempts and converted his lone PAT in Sunday's 16-10 preseason loss to the 49ers.

Grupe hit a 52-yarder early in the third quarter, and he now gone 3-for-3 on field-goal attempts and 2-for-2 on point-after-tries this preseason. The second-year kicker also went back to handling almost the entirety of the Saints' kicking duties after first-year player Charlie Smyth hit the game-winning field-goal attempt in the team's preseason opener. While the latter kicker handled New Orleans' first kickoff of the second quarter, his scant usage seems to indicate that there isn't a legitimate kicking competiton going on here this preseason. The Saints will wrap up their preseason schedule this coming Sunday with a final exhibition against the Titans.

The undrafted rookie has now gone a perfect 32-for-32 on PATs this season. He'll look for more field-goal opportunities during the Week 17 divisional matchup versus Tampa Bay.

Grupe also made his other four combined kicking attempts leading up to the late-game miss, and he's now converted 18 of his 23 field-goal tries and all 19 of his PATs this season. He'll look to avoid any more mistakes when the Saints head to Minnesota next Sunday, Nov. 12.

The undrafted rookie bounced back with three straight made field goals on attempts of 23, 35 and 42 yards over the remainder of Thursday night's loss. New Orleans' lack of touchdowns this season has yielded Grupe just 11 extra-point tries over the first seven games of the season; but, the team's lack of red-zone efficiency has contributed to the kicker's 20 field-goal attempts over this span. Grupe's misses ultimately caused the Saints to have to be more aggressive on its trips into finals the red zone, resulting in a turnover on downs followed by a game-sealing interception. Aside from a missed 46-yarder Week 3 versus Green Bay, the undrafted product out of Notre Dame has hit all 15 of his combined kicking attempts so far this rookie season. Grupe will look to remain very consistent versus New England in Week 5.

Grupe nailed one of two field goal attempts and all two of his extra-point tries during Sunday's 18-17 loss against the Packers.

Grupe's first missed field goal of the season came at a bitterly crucial point for the Saints. The undrafted rookie out of Notre Dame pushed a 46-yard attempt wide right with just over one minute left in the fourth quarter, thus allowing Green Bay to kneel out the remainder of the game and complete a 17-point comeback. Grupe has now converted all but one of 11 total kicking attempts three games into his career. He'll look to bounce back against Tampa Bay on Sunday, Oct. 1.

Grupe went 2-for-2 on field-goal attempts and 2-for-2 on point-after tries during Monday's 20-17 win over the Panthers.

Grupe remained perfect through the second game of his career. The undrafted rookie out of Notre Dame hit field-goal tries of 28 and 23 yards in the first and third quarters, respectively, thus keeping the Saints ahead 6-3 heading into halftime. Grupe will look to keep up this strong start when the Saints welcome the Packers to New Orleans in Week 3.

Grupe made all three of his field-goal tries and his only extra-point attempt in a 16-15 victory over the Titans on Sunday.

Grupe's debut was a success, and his accuracy was ultimately crucial in the team's one-point victory. The Notre Dame product won the team's kicker job as an undrafted free agent and didn't disappoint Sunday. He hit field goals from 26 and 33 yards out subsequently, and then another from 52 yards to tie the game at nine in the third quarter. He'll look to stay perfect next Monday against the Panthers.

Grupe is the only kicker on the Saints' roster after they traded WIl Lutz to Denver on Tuesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

The Saints had enough confidence in the undrafted rookie to trade away a player who'd been their kicker since 2016, though Lutz missed all of 2021 and then had his worst season in 2022. Grupe is listed at 5-foot-7, 156 pounds, making him one of the shortest and lightest players in the NFL at any position, including among specialists.

Grupe knocked through two of his three field-goal attempts and his lone extra-point try during Sunday's 17-13 preseason loss to the Texans.

Grupe hit field-goal tries of 38 and 50 yards before going wide right on a 60-yard attempt in the fourth quarter. The undrafted rookie out of Notre Dame converted all of his field-goal attempts this preseason up until this final try, and he's reportedly pushed veteran Wil Lutz for the Saints' starting kicker spot this preseason. However, Lutz was also perfect throughout the preseason, so it seems unlikely that he'll be unseated despite coming off a career-worst season in 2022 (23-for-31 FG, 33-for-33 PAT). If Grupe is waived ahead of Tuesday's cutdown deadline, it's likely that the undrafted rookie could receive an opportunity elsewhere ahead of the regular season.
