Brock Bowers Injury News & Updates
Keep up with the latest injuries from the Broncos vs Raiders game on Sunday with our National Football League injury report.Nov 30, 2025
Scores twice in 31-14 loss
Bowers caught all four of his targets for 63 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 31-14 loss to the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Bowers tied the game at a touchdown apiece with a six-yard touchdown catch shortly after the two-minute warning in the second quarter, then secured a spectacular one-handed catch for another six-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. The 2024 first-round pick missed the entire month of October due to a knee injury but bounced back in November, catching 30 of 41 targets for 348 yards and five touchdowns across five games. Bowers should continue to work as the top option in the Raiders' passing game against the Broncos in Week 14.
Nov 23, 2025
Gains 55 yards Sunday
Bowers had six receptions on nine targets for 55 yards in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Bowers produced a modest receiving line while finishing second on the team behind WR Tre Tucker in targets (10) and RB Ashton Jeanty in receptions (eight). While the final results were digestible, Bowers' managers are left wondering what could have been had QB Geno Smith looked the star tight end's way more often instead of taking numerous unsuccessful deep shots to Tucker. Poor playcalling and quarterback play aside, Bowers remains an elite fantasy option week in, week out based on pure talent alone. Expect Bowers to remain a focal point of the passing offense for the struggling Raiders in next Sunday's road tilt against the Chargers.
Nov 17, 2025
Leading receiver on 12 targets
Bowers finished with seven receptions on 12 targets for 72 yards in Monday's 33-16 loss to the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Bowers was able to get back on track following last week's one-catch dud, finishing Monday's loss as the Raiders' leading receiver on a team-high 12 targets. The 22-year-old phenom did suffer a couple of uncharacteristic drops, but the seven receptions still checked in as his second-highest total through seven starts. A healthy Bowers will attempt to make up for time lost to a knee injury earlier in the campaign with a strong run in the second half. His next opportunity to build on a 39-455-3 receiving line will come in a home matchup against the Browns on Sunday.
Nov 6, 2025
Major downturn in TNF loss
Bowers brought in one of three targets for 31 yards and rushed once for minus-4 yards in the Raiders' 10-7 loss to the Broncos on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
After putting together a career-best yardage total and recording three touchdowns just four days earlier against the Jaguars in a narrow overtime loss, Bowers saw a major downturn in production against a much stingier Broncos defense. The talented tight end did make a nice splash on his one reception and logged a rush attempt for the second straight contest, but he fell victim to another modest night for Las Vegas' air attack. Bowers' upside is above question, but Geno Smith's ongoing struggles always have the potential to cap Bowers' production. Bowers and the Raiders do have a more palatable matchup next time out, as they'll host the Cowboys for a Monday night Week 11 matchup on Nov. 17.
Nov 2, 2025
Monstrous return to action Sunday
Bowers (knee) corralled 12 of 13 targets for 127 yards and three touchdowns while gaining six yards off of one carry in Sunday's 30-29 overtime loss to the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Bowers burst back onto the fantasy scene with three trips to the end zone for his managers after missing the Raiders' last three contests with a knee injury. The explosive tight end notched his second 100-yard game of the season while recording his first rush attempt in 2025 (five attempts as a rookie). Bowers made up for lost time with Sunday's outpouring of production, bumping his receiving line up to 31-357-3 in five active starts. With no setbacks to report, Bowers will attempt to become a matchup problem for Denver's highly-touted defense on Thursday Night Football in Week 10.

Practices fully Wednesday
Bowers (knee) practiced fully Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Bowers last saw game action in Week 4, but following the Raiders' bye week, the tight end is poised to return to the team's lineup Sunday against the Jaguars. Per Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com, coach Pete Carroll noted Wednesday that Bowers has looked great of late and has been working at full speed, while the star tight end himself said he's "ready to roll" ahead of Week 9 action. In four games this season, Bowers (who caught 112 passes as a rookie in 2024) compiled a 19/225/0 receiving line on 27 targets.
Oct 20, 2025
On track to return Week 9
Raiders coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Bowers (knee) is expected to be back on the field after the team's Week 8 bye, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bowers hasn't played since Week 4 due to a lingering PCL injury and bone bruise, but the star tight end is expected to be back in the lineup Week 9 versus the Jaguars on Sunday, Nov. 2. Carroll said the same of wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (knee/toe), who joined Bowers on the sideline during the team's blowout 31-0 loss to Kansas City in Week 7. Bowers surpassed 100 receiving yards Week 1 but then logged three consecutive games below the 50-yard mark and without a touchdown while playing through his knee injury, so fantasy managers will hope he's able to return to both full health and his usual productivity levels when back in the lineup.
Oct 19, 2025
Missing third straight game
Bowers (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
After going down as a non-participant on seven consecutive Raiders practice reports, Bowers returned to the field Friday as a limited participant. The increase in activity prompted the Raiders to list Bowers as doubtful rather than ruling him out heading into the Week 7 game in Kansas City, but he'll still wind up missing a third consecutive game. With a bye on tap for Week 8, the Raiders have early optimism that Bowers will have made enough progress in his recovery from a lingering PCL injury and bone bruise in his knee to return to action Week 9 versus the Jaguars on Nov. 2. Michael Mayer is expected to serve as the Raiders' top tight end Sunday while Bowers sits out another game.
Oct 18, 2025
Expected to return after bye
Bowers (knee), who is officially listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, is not expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Bowers returned to practice as a limited participant Friday after having sat out Wednesday and Thursday, but the second-year tight end is expect to miss a third straight contest due to his lingering PCL injury. The Raiders will then benefit from a Week 8 bye, which Bowers will use to rest up and target a return to action Week 9 against the Jaguars on Sunday, Nov. 2. Michael Mayer will operate as Las Vegas' top tight end if Bowers is indeed inactive, confirmation of which will arrive no later than 90 minutes ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Meanwhile, top wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (knee/toe) appears a true game-time decision.
Oct 17, 2025
Doubtful after limited practice
Bowers (knee) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET game against the Chiefs after logging a limited practice Friday.
ANALYSIS
Following consecutive DNPs Wednesday and Thursday, Bowers' return to a limited session Friday provides a glimmer of hope that he could suit up Sunday, though his official doubtful designation suggests that the Raiders may be more likely to err on the side of caution with their star tight end this weekend with the team on bye Week 8. If Bowers ends up sidelined for the third straight game, fellow TE Michael Mayer -- who logged five catches (on seven targets) for 50 yards and a TD in the Raiders' Week 6 win over the Titans -- once again would be in line for added opportunities versus Kansas City.
Oct 17, 2025
At practice Friday
Bowers (knee) was present for practice Friday, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bowers didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, but the tight end's presence at Friday's session offers hope that he could play Sunday against the Chiefs after having missed two straight games. The Raiders' upcoming injury report will reveal both Bowers' official participation level, as well as his Week 7 game status. Las Vegas has a Week 8 bye, so if there's any concern of a possible setback with Bowers' knee, the team could elect to err on the side of caution this week.
Oct 16, 2025
Remains sidelined Thursday
Bowers (knee) didn't participate in practice Thursday, Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
Bowers also missed Wednesday's session, and another 'DNP' a day later has the tight end trending toward missing a third straight game Sunday against the Chiefs. If Bowers remains sidelined this weekend, fellow TE Michael Mayer, who had five catches on seven targets for 50 yards and a TD in a Week 6 win over the Titans -- would once again be in store for added opportunities in the Raiders offense.
Oct 15, 2025
Not practicing
Bowers (knee) isn't practicing Wednesday, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bowers is standing on the sideline in shorts, which come as no surprise after reports this past weekend suggested he's unlikely to return for Week 7 at Kansas City. He initially suffered a PCL injury and bone bruise in Week 1, and it now seems the goal may be a return after the Raiders' Week 8 bye. TE Michael Mayer filled in admirably during Sunday's 20-10 win over Tennessee, catching five passes for 50 yards and a touchdown on a team-high seven targets (while playing 91 percent of snaps on offense).
Oct 12, 2025
Likely to remain out through Week 7
Bowers (knee), who has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Titans, is considered unlikely to be available for the Raiders' Week 7 contest at Kansas City, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Since sustaining a bone bruise and PCL injury in his knee in the Raiders' Week 1 win over the Patriots, Bowers had been noticeably slowed by the issue over Las Vegas' subsequent three contests before he ended up sitting out this past Sunday's 40-6 loss to the Colts. Since Bowers needs rest to fully move past the injury, he was held out of all three Week 6 practices before being ruled out two days in advance of the matchup with Tennessee. Pelissero notes that the Raiders plan to give Bowers "a chance" to play next Sunday against the Chiefs if his knee is feeling better than anticipated after two weeks off from playing in games, but Las Vegas "wants to be smart" with the star tight end before its bye in Week 8. With that in mind, fantasy managers should prepare to have another option available at tight end in place of Bowers until at least Week 9.
Oct 10, 2025
Won't play versus Titans
Bowers (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Coach Pete Carroll acknowledged earlier Friday that Bowers "isn't quite ready yet," per Levi Edwards of the Raiders' official site, and now that the tight end has been officially ruled out, he'll target a possible return to action Sunday, Oct. 19 versus the Chiefs. In Bowers' absence, Michael Mayer, who has been cleared to return from a concussion, is in line to lead the team's TE corps versus Tennessee, a context that makes him worthy of Week 6 fantasy lineup consideration.
Oct 10, 2025
Not expected to play Sunday
Coach Pete Carroll noted Friday that Bowers (knee) isn't expected to play Sunday against the Titans, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Levi Edwards of the Raiders' official site, Carroll indicated that that Bowers "isn't quite ready yet" while acknowledging that the tight end more than likely will be out this weekend. On the plus side for the team, Carroll said that Michael Mayer "had a great week" and will be good to go against the Titans.
Oct 10, 2025
Not practicing Friday
Bowers (knee) isn't taking part in Friday's practice, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bowers didn't suit up this past Sunday at Indianapolis due to a lingering PCL injury and bone bruise in his left knee, and he proceeded to miss all three Week 6 practices. The lack of activity this week isn't much of a surprise, considering coach Pete Carroll called Bowers "week-to-week" Monday, per Paul Gutierrez of the Raiders' official site. The team has yet to rule out Bowers for Sunday's game against the Titans, something that may occur once it posts Friday's injury report.
Oct 9, 2025
Another missed practice
Bowers (knee) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bowers, who was sidelined for the first time in his career in last Sunday's 40-6 loss to the Colts, has now missed four straight practices dating back to last week, so what he's able to do during Friday's session will loom large in terms of his chances of playing this weekend against the Titans. If Bowers ends up sitting out a second straight game, Michael Mayer -- who has cleared concussion protocol and practiced fully Wednesday -- would step in as the Raiders' top tight end.
Oct 8, 2025
Misses another practice
Bowers (knee) isn't practicing Wednesday, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bowers, who was inactive for this past Sunday's 40-6 loss to the Colts after logging 'DNPs' this past Thursday and Friday, now has two more chances to practice before the Raiders submit their Week 6 injury designations. If he's limited or out this weekend, Michael Mayer -- who has cleared concussion protocol -- would be in line to see an expanded role this weekend versus the Titans.
Oct 6, 2025
Viewed as week-to-week
Coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Bowers (knee) is considered week-to-week, Paul H. Gutierrez of the Raiders' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Bowers was unable to play through the PCL injury in Week 5 against the Colts, and it seems the Raiders are finally considering letting their star tight end recover and get close to 100 percent after he played through the injury the first four weeks of the season. Bowers is genuinely looking questionable for Sunday's Week 6 bout with the Titans. If Bowers is unable to play, Michael Mayer (concussion) would likely handle starter-level snaps, as long as Mayer is able to clear the concussion protocol after missing the past two games.
Oct 5, 2025
Missing first game of career
Bowers (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts.
ANALYSIS
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Bowers is tending to a PCL injury and bone bruise to his knee, an issue he had been playing through since getting hurt during the Raiders' Week 1 win over the Patriots. His performance had been affected while he played at less than 100 percent over the last few weeks, with Bowers being limited to fewer than 50 receiving yards in each of the subsequent three contests. Though he opened Week 5 prep as a limited participant, Bowers ended up sitting out sessions Thursday and Friday with the hope that the added rest would put him in a better spot physically heading into game day. Ultimately, Bowers didn't heal enough for the Raiders to feel comfortable making him active Sunday, so the second-year tight end will end up missing the first game of his career. With Michael Mayer (concussion) also inactive, the Raiders will be left with Ian Thomas, Carter Runyon and practice-squad call-up Albert Okwuegbunam as their available options at tight end for Week 5. Schefter adds that the Raid
Oct 5, 2025
Likely to sit out with PCL injury
Bowers, who is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts, has been playing through a PCL injury and bone bruise on his knee that has affected his performance, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The report notes that doctors have indicated rest is the tight end's path to moving past the issue, an approach that Schefter suggests Bowers has reluctant to take thus far. On Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that Bowers is trending toward not playing Sunday, while Schefter relayed that fellow tight end Michael Mayer (concussion) is also is line to sit out Week 5. In the event that both players are made inactive ahead of the 1 p.m. ET kickoff, Ian Thomas, Carter Runyon and Albert Okwuegbunam would be the team's available options at tight end.
Oct 4, 2025
Slated to miss Week 5
Bowers (knee) isn't expected to be available for Sunday's game at Indianapolis, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Bowers has been tending to a left knee injury since Week 1, but he's been able to suit up on game days to this point, putting together a respectable 19-225-0 line on 27 targets in four contests. The Raiders held him out of drills Thursday and Friday with the intention to get the second-year pro some extra rest, as coach Pete Carroll told Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com. The team hasn't officially made a ruling on Bowers' status for Week 5, but if he ends up among Las Vegas' inactives about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, the team will be riding with Ian Thomas, Carter Runyon and Albert Okwuegbunam at tight end with Michael Mayer still in the concussion protocol.
Oct 3, 2025
Expected to play Sunday, per coach
Though Bowers (knee) didn't practice Thursday and Friday, coach Pete Carroll expects the tight end to play Sunday against the Colts, Ryan McFadden of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Carroll, Bowers didn't suffer a setback with the knee issue that he's been managing, rather the team elected to give the 2024 first-rounder extra rest ahead of Week 5 action. For his part, Bowers said he's feeling better each week and wants to continue that trend, while adding that he's not allowed to share further details on an injury that's been frustrating for him to deal with. In any case, given that he's officially listed as questionable (as is fellow TE Michael Mayer, concussion) fantasy managers will still need to verify Bowers' status Sunday, but fortunately the Raiders have a 1:00 ET kickoff this week.
Oct 3, 2025
Questionable for Sunday
Bowers (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts after not practicing Thursday and Friday.
ANALYSIS
Meanwhile, fellow TE Michael Mayer (concussion) was also deemed questionable after being limited at practice this week. Fortunately for those who would normally rely on Bowers or are considering his backup (Mayer) in Week 5 fantasy lineups, the Raiders kick off at 1:00 ET on Sunday. Look for reports regarding Bowers to surface late Saturday or early Sunday, once national reporters like ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport post their weekly injury updates.
Oct 3, 2025
Not practicing Friday
Bowers (knee) wasn't in uniform for Friday's practice, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After being listed as limited Wednesday, Bowers didn't practice Thursday, and with another 'DNP' in store, the tight end's status for Sunday's game against the Colts is uncertain. In any case, Friday's final injury report will clarify whether Bowers has a chance to play this weekend. Meanwhile, fellow TE Michael Mayer (concussion) has logged two straight limited practices.
Oct 2, 2025
Doesn't practice Thursday
Bowers (knee) didn't take part in Thursday's practice, Anthony Galaviz of The Fresno Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
Bowers has had his practice reps impacted from time to time since injuring his left knee Week 1 at New England. He's still been regularly involved in the Raiders offense through the first four games of the season, hauling in 19 of 27 passes for 225 yards, but he's still in search of his initial end-zone visit. After following up Wednesday's limited session with no activity one day later, Bowers may not escape Week 5 prep without a designation ahead of Sunday's contest at Indianapolis.
Oct 1, 2025
Limited at practice Wednesday
Bowers (knee) was limited in practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Bowers continues to manage a knee issue, but at this stage there's no reason to believe that his status for Sunday's game against the Colts is in danger. With that in mind, Levi Edwards of the Raiders' official site relayed earlier Wednesday that coach Pete Carroll said that the talented tight will continue to be a point of emphasis in the team's offense even as he works through his knee issue, with Carroll adding that he believes Bowers -- who logged a 5/46/0 stat line on six targets in Week 4, while recording a 77 percent snap share -- will look much better once he sheds his knee brace.
Sep 28, 2025
Leading receiver on modest totals
Bowers corralled five of six targets for 46 yards in Sunday's 25-24 loss to the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Las Vegas' passing offense was anemic Sunday, generating just 117 yards through the air compared to 240 on the ground. Bowers managed to lead all Raiders' receiving options in receptions (five) and yardage (46), but it was RB Ashton Jeanty who benefited from both of Geno Smith's passing scores in the loss. It's safe to say that Bowers' sophomore season has been a disappointment through four weeks, with the star tight end averaging 40.7 yards in the three games following his promising Week 1 performance (5-103-0). Perhaps the 1-3 Raiders will look to feature its best receiving threat more often in a road matchup against the Colts next Sunday.
Sep 21, 2025
Modest volume against Washington
Bowers caught four of five targets for 38 yards in Sunday's 41-24 loss to the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
The second-year tight end had a second straight quiet performance after picking up a minor knee injury in Week 1. Despite lacking the explosiveness that led to a record-setting rookie season, Bowers has still remained a big part of the Raiders' passing game and has at least four catches in three straight contests, leading to a 14-179-0 line on 21 targets. With the knee issue further behind him, Bowers could roar back to life in Week 4 against a Bears defense that has been one of the worst units in the NFL to begin the year.
Sep 19, 2025
Ready for Week 3
Bowers (knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Commanders after practicing in a limited fashion this week.
ANALYSIS
After approaching this past Monday's 20-9 loss to the Chargers listed as questionable, Bowers was able to suit up and recorded a 77 percent snap share in the contest en route to catching five of his eight targets for 38 yards. With his Week 3 availability confirmed, the star tight end is poised to maintain his focal role in the Raiders passing game Sunday alongside WR Jakobi Meyers.
Sep 18, 2025
Remains limited Thursday
Bowers (knee) remained limited at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Though Bowers was listed as questionable in advance of this past Monday's 20-9 loss to the Chargers, he was able to suit up and log a 77 percent snap share in that contest. With no reported setbacks, it doesn't seem like he's in any danger of missing Sunday's game against the Commanders, but the tight end may need to practice fully Friday in order to avoid a Week 3 injury designation.
Sep 17, 2025
Limited at practice Wednesday
Bowers (knee) was limited at practice Wednesday, Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
Bowers was listed as questionable ahead of Monday's 20-9 loss to the Chargers, but was able to suit up and handle a 77 percent snap share, while catching five of his eight targets for 38 yards. With no reported setbacks in the contest, there's a solid chance that Bowers' listed limitations Wednesday were maintenance-related.
Sep 16, 2025
No limitations on MNF
Bowers (knee) corralled five of eight targets for 38 yards in Monday's 20-9 loss to the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Bowers was able to suit up after injuring his knee Week 1 and being limited to just one practice Saturday. The budding superstar wore a bulky brace on his left knee but otherwise was unaffected by the injury that threatened his status for Monday's primetime matchup. Bowers' pedestrian stat line was the result of a horrid passing night from QB Geno Smith, who completed just 55 percent of his pass attempts while throwing three interceptions. With the injury scare behind him, Bowers and the entire Las Vegas offense will look to right the ship in a road tilt against the Commanders on Sunday.
Sep 15, 2025
Suiting up Monday, as expected
Bowers (knee) is listed as active Monday against the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
After making an early exit from the Raiders' season-opening win at New England due to a knee injury, Bowers was held out of practice Thursday and Friday before returning to the field Saturday as a limited participant. Coach Pete Carroll told Anthony Galaviz of The Fresno Bee after the latter session that he expected Bowers to suit up Week 2, which now has been confirmed, but it appears he'll be wearing a brace on his left knee, per Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com. Even if he operates with some limitations Monday, Bowers should be a regular target for QB Geno Smith, which resulted in five catches (on eight targets) for 103 yards for him on a 51 percent snap share Week 1.
Sep 13, 2025
Officially questionable for Monday
Bowers (knee) was a limited participant in Saturday's practice and is listed as questionable for Monday's game versus the Chargers, Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
According to Anthony Galaviz of The Fresno Bee, head coach Pete Carroll said after practice that he expects Bowers to play Monday, but the questionable tag was expected after the second-year tight end missed the first two practices of the week before practicing in a limited fashion and with a knee brace Saturday. Per Paul Gutierrez of the Raiders' official site, Bowers said he "felt fine" during practice Saturday. All the indications so far have been positive, although Carroll has often been optimistic with his injury assessments throughout his career. It's a tricky setup with the Raiders poised to kick off the last game of the week at 10:00 p.m. ET on Monday, so fantasy managers with Bowers would be wise to pick up Raiders' No. 2 tight end Michael Mayer as a contingency. Chargers tight ends Will Dissly and Tyler Conklin are also options if Mayer is already rostered in your league.
Sep 13, 2025
Expected to play Monday
Head coach Pete Carroll expects Bowers (knee) to play in Monday's game versus the Chargers, Anthony Galaviz of The Fresno Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
Carroll added that Bowers "looked terrific" at Saturday's practice, which was his first practice off the week after being a non-participant Thursday and Friday. Bowers was exceptional in the season opener despite playing just 50 percent of the snaps, as he caught five of eight targets for 103 yards. The Raiders will reveal his official status at some point Saturday, but he's certainly trending in a positive direction.
Sep 13, 2025
Spotted at practice Saturday
Bowers (knee) is practicing with the team Saturday, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bowers didn't practice Thursday or Friday, so his presence at Saturday's practice was critical to his chances of playing Monday versus the Chargers. The Raiders will reveal later in the afternoon whether Bowers practiced with limitations or if he'll carry a questionable tag into Monday's game. Fantasy managers may need to plan ahead at tight end if Bowers is tagged as questionable because the Raiders have the final game of the week, kicking off at 10:00 p.m. ET on Monday.
Sep 12, 2025
Not practicing Friday
Bowers (knee) wasn't spotted at Friday's practice, Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal and Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com report.
ANALYSIS
Bowers didn't practice Thursday, either, so what the star tight end is able to do Saturday (if anything) will be notable with regard to his chances of suiting up Monday night against the Chargers. Per Adam Hill of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Bowers said of his Week 2 status Thursday, "We'll see how it's feeling throughout the week, but I'm hoping to play." Unless Bowers ends up without an injury designation Saturday, however, cautious fantasy managers are advised to consider a contingency plan at TE this week, considering Monday's 10:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
Sep 11, 2025
Sits out Thursday's practice
Bowers (knee) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
According to Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com, Bowers was involved in the walk-through portion of the Raiders' first Week 2 practice, but he didn't take part in any drills. The Raiders remain hopeful that the star tight end will be able to increase his activity in practices Friday and Saturday, though Bowers himself admitted that he's unsure if he'll be ready to play Monday versus the Chargers, per Bonsignore. Bowers was limited to playing just 32 of the Raiders' 63 offensive snaps in this past Sunday's 20-13 win over the Patriots due to the knee issue, but he delivered for fantasy managers with five catches for 103 yards on eight targets.
Sep 7, 2025
Downplays knee issue
Following Sunday's 20-10 win over the Patriots, Bowers downplayed the knee issue that caused his exit from the contest, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Pelissero, Bowers indicated afterward that he's fine, with the tight end noting that he took a little hit on his knee (which he got checked out ) and that there are no concerns moving forward. Meanwhile, Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Bowers wanted to return to Sunday's game, but the Raiders training staff elected to hold him out. In any case, added context regarding Bowers' Week 2 status will arrive no later than Thursday, when Las Vegas takes the practice field ahead of next Monday's contest against the Chargers.
Sep 7, 2025
Exits Sunday's game
Bowers exited Sunday's season opener against the Patriots with a knee injury.
ANALYSIS
Prior to that, Bowers had caught five of his eight targets for 103 yards. In his absence, Michael Mayer and Ian Thomas are available to handle the Raiders' TE duties.
Aug 16, 2025
Nabs lone target in preseason loss
Bowers caught his only target for 28 yards in an exhibition loss to the 49ers on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Bowers logged only one offensive snap in Las Vegas' first preseason contest Aug. 7, but he got more run against San Francisco. The second-year tight end's lone catch was a beauty -- he went up for a heave from Geno Smith that was contested by a 49ers defender and came down with the ball for a 28-yard gain. After setting an NFL rookie record with 112 receptions last year, Bowers figures to be Smith's top target in 2025, and he's arguably fantasy's most alluring tight-end option.
Aug 2, 2025
Returns to practice
Bowers (undisclosed) is practicing Saturday, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It's not clear what caused Bowers to miss practice Friday, but it's possible he was just getting a rest day. Now that he's back at practice, fantasy managers should have no concerns about his status moving forward. Bowers has been the top tight end off the board in fantasy drafts after recording an NFL rookie record for receptions with 112 while accumulating 1,194 receiving yards and five touchdowns last year.
Aug 1, 2025
Doesn't practice Friday
Though Bowers (undisclosed) was present for practice Friday, he didn't participate in the session, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
At this stage, there's been no report of an injury in play, so it's possible that Friday was simply a rest day for Bowers. As the coming season approaches, the 2024 first-rounder is bound to remain a focal point of a Raiders passing attack now helmed by QB Geno Smith, with the tight end out of Georgia currently viewed as the consensus No. 1 option at his position in fantasy rankings.
Jan 5, 2025
Concludes remarkable rookie season
Bowers recorded four receptions on nine targets for 50 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Bowers was unable to record his first catch until early in the third quarter, and the majority of his production came in garbage time on the Raiders' final offensive possession. Nevertheless, he managed to tally the fifth touchdown of his rookie season and reached at least 50 receiving yards for the fourth time in seven games since the Raiders' bye in Week 10. Bowers ends his incredible campaign with the most receptions by a rookie in NFL history (112) and the most yardage (1,194) by a rookie tight end in league history.
Dec 29, 2024
Rewrites record books in Week 17
Bowers caught all seven of his targets for 77 yards in Sunday's 25-10 win over the Saints.
ANALYSIS
In the process, Bowers set three different records. His 108 catches on the season is a new high-water mark for any Raider, breaking the record set by Darren Waller in 2020. Bowers also set a new NFL rookie receptions mark, besting Puka Nacua's 105 catches from last year. Most impressively, Bowers' 1,144 receiving yards is the most in NFL history by a rookie tight end, breaking the record held by Mike Ditka since 1961. Bowers will have one more game to add to his historic totals, as he's set to take on the Chargers in Week 18.

Reaches 1,000 receiving yards
Bowers recorded 11 receptions on 13 targets for 99 yards in Sunday's 19-14 win over the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Bowers benefitted from the return of Aidan O'Connell, drawing 13 targets on O'Connell's 38 attempts. He was largely limited to short gains, though he did log a pair of catches that went for 32 and 17 yards. Bowers impressively topped 1,000 receiving yards with the performance and has quickly emerged as an elite pass-catching tight end during his rookie campaign despite subpar quarterback play.
Dec 16, 2024
Another quiet game Monday
Bowers finished with three receptions on six targets for 35 yards in Monday's 15-9 loss to the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Bowers saw his usage suppressed for the second week in a row, also finishing below 50 yards receiving for the third time in four contests. Backup tight end Michael Mayer (1-11-0) didn't cut into the starter's workload like we saw in Week 14, so the low usage was a result of the Raiders' game plan against Atlanta. Despite his recent dry spell, Bowers is a tremendous talent who is worth starting in Week 16 against Jacksonville on Sunday.
Dec 8, 2024
Underwhelming numbers in loss
Bowers brought in three of five targets for 49 yards in the Raiders' 28-13 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Bowers came into the game with a pair of 100-yard tallies in the previous three contests and was facing a defense that had been vulnerable to tight ends all season. However, Bowers was largely contained by the Buccaneers, with fellow tight end Michael Mayer doing the majority of the damage at the position with a 7-68 line on nine targets. However, Bowers did turn in a 25-yard catch, and his final reception of the day, a 12-yard grab with 27 seconds remaining, vaulted him into the record books for most receptions by a rookie tight end (87). Bowers next takes aim at the vulnerable Falcons defense in a Week 15 home matchup on Monday night, Dec. 16.
Nov 29, 2024
Dominant performance in loss
Bowers secured 10 of 14 targets for 140 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders' 19-17 loss to the Chiefs on Friday. He also rushed once for two yards.
ANALYSIS
Bowers led the Raiders across the board in receptions, receiving yards and targets, with the middle total also serving as a new career high. The performance served as Bowers' second 100-yard game and third with double-digit receptions, and the rookie first-round pick added his fourth touchdown catch of the campaign on a 33-yard grab late in the third quarter. Bowers also made a clutch 25-yard reception on Las Vegas' final drive, and he carries an immense fantasy ceiling in all formats heading into a Week 14 road matchup against the Buccaneers on Sunday, Dec. 8.
Nov 24, 2024
Quiet in Sunday's loss
Bowers caught four of 10 targets for 38 yards in Sunday's 29-19 loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
While the rookie tight end saw double-digit targets for the second straight game and the fifth time this season, Bowers wasn't able to do much with the volume, posting his lowest yardage total since Week 4. Bowers' role in the Raiders' passing game is secure, but it's not clear who will be throwing him the ball in Week 13 against Kansas City -- Gardner Minshew (collarbone) was lost for the season Sunday, and Aidan O'Connell (thumb) may not be ready to come off IR.
Nov 17, 2024
Prolific production in loss
Bowers secured 13 of 16 targets for 126 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders' 34-19 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Bowers set the pace across the board for the Raiders in all three components of his receiving line, with the trio of figures also serving as new career highs. Bowers now has double-digit target tallies and at least eight catches in four of his last six games, as he continues to serve as the clear-cut leader of the air attack following the trade of Davante Adams to the Jets. The star rookie should be set up for another busy afternoon in a Week 12 home AFC West clash against the Broncos next Sunday.
Nov 3, 2024
Scores late receiving TD
Bowers secured five of eight targets for 45 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders' 41-24 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Bowers had a quiet day for the most part despite the favorable matchup against a Bengals defense that had struggled against tight ends. However, he salvaged his fantasy day late with a 22-yard touchdown grab from the arm of Desmond Ridder with 41 seconds remaining, which served as only his second receiving score of his career. Bowers will continue serving as one of the primary targets for either Gardner Minshew or Ridder in a Week 11 road matchup against the Dolphins on Sunday, Nov. 17 following a Week 10 bye.
Oct 28, 2024
Modest Week 8 line
Bowers recorded five receptions on five targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Bowers made the most of his opportunity in Sunday's loss, as three of his five catches went for double-digit yards. However, he saw his lowest target total since Week 4, as Gardner Minshew distributed targets fairly evenly among the Raiders' skill-position players. Lack of volume isn't likely to be a concern often moving forward, as Minshew has looked to Bowers increasingly as the season has progressed.
Oct 20, 2024
Ten catches in Week 7 loss
Bowers caught 10 of 14 targets for 93 yards in Sunday's 20-15 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Bowers continues to lead all NFL tight ends in receiving yards, with 477 through seven games, and he's the clear No. 1 target in the Raiders' passing game following Tuesday's trade of Davante Adams to the Jets. Despite finding success regardless of whether Vegas deploys Aidan O'Connell -- who exited in the first half Sunday due to a thumb injury -- or Gardner Minshew under center, the rookie first-round pick has been held back by the lack of talent around him, as Bowers has just one touchdown, and his first end-zone target of the season came in the fourth quarter against the Rams. Bowers has a juicy Week 8 matchup coming up against a Kansas City defense that has allowed the most yards in the league to tight ends.
Oct 14, 2024
Double-digit targets again
Bowers recorded nine receptions on 10 targets for 71 yards in Sunday's 32-13 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
With both Davante Adams (hamstring) and Jakobi Meyers (ankle) sidelined, Bowers was able to serve as the Raiders' top pass catcher for the second consecutive week. Aidan O'Connell was hesitant to push the ball down the field, leaving Bowers to do the majority of his damage after the catch. While his stat line is impressive enough, he also served as the lead blocker on Alexander Mattison's touchdown run in the first quarter and also had a one-handed catch wiped away by a penalty. Even once Meyers and potentially Adams return to the offense, Bowers has shown enough to maintain a significant role.
Oct 6, 2024
First pro touchdown
Bowers recorded eight receptions on 12 targets for 97 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-18 loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Bowers was a bright spot in an otherwise dismal game for the Raiders, and he began his day with an impressive 57-yard touchdown during which he leaped over a defender and then broke free for the long score. He was otherwise used primarily in short areas of the field, though his 12 targets were a season high. Quarterback play will likely be a problem for at least the rest of 2024, but Bowers could take over as the top pass-catching option in the absence of Davante Adams.
Sep 29, 2024
Less volume last two games
Bowers caught two of three targets for 19 yards and added a 12-yard run in Sunday's 20-16 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Bowers has just seven targets in Vegas' last two games after being targeted 17 times in his first two games, as defenses have paid more attention to the rookie first-round pick after his hot start. He scored five touchdowns on 19 rushing attempts over his three years at Georgia, so perhaps Bowers will add more of that element to his game moving forward after registering his first NFL rushing attempt in Sunday's win. Bowers will look to increase his involvement as a pass catcher in Week 5 against the Broncos.
Sep 22, 2024
Limited production in Week 3
Bowers recorded three receptions on four targets for 41 yards in Sunday's 36-22 loss to the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
The Raiders struggled to get their offense moving consistently, which perhaps explains Bowers' surprising lack of involvement. He wasn't targeted until seven minutes were remaining in the second quarter, though he did still manage to record an impressive 21-yard catch and run for his longest gain of the day. Bowers has already shown the ability to excel as a pro as this was his worst performance as a pro, though his results will likely remain inconsistent due to the Raiders' offense.
Sep 15, 2024
Highly productive in upset win
Bowers brought in all nine targets for 98 yards in the Raiders' 26-23 win over the Ravens on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Bowers tied Davante Adams for the team lead in receptions while checking in second to his teammate in receiving yards and targets. The athletic tight end also had the Raiders' second-longest reception of the day -- 27 yards -- and he recorded his final three receptions on a key game-tying drive midway through the fourth quarter. Bowers has already drawn 17 targets from Gardner Minshew over his first two NFL games and parlayed 15 of them into receptions, validating the fantasy buzz that surrounded him throughout the summer.
Sep 8, 2024
Bright spot in loss
Bowers recorded six receptions on eight targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 22-10 loss to the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Despite recently overcoming a foot injury, Bowers led the Raiders in both targets and receptions in his pro debut. His longest catch of the day came in the middle of the second quarter as he worked over the middle of the field on a play-action pass. He was otherwise targeted primarily underneath by Gardner Minshew, but it's clear that Bowers will play a key role in the Raiders' offense in his rookie campaign.
Sep 6, 2024
Good to go for opener
Bowers (foot) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's season opener against the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
After logging limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday, Bowers was listed as a full participant Friday, paving the way for the 2024 first-rounder to make his NFL regular-season debut this weekend. As the coming campaign approaches, Bowers is in line to be a key target in a Las Vegas passing offense that also features WRs Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers, as well as fellow TE Michael Mayer, a 2023 second-rounder. Though the continued presence of Mayer is of note, Bowers should still provide fantasy utility as a rookie, with the Raiders likely to frequently employ two-TE sets.
Sep 5, 2024
Still limited Thursday
Bowers (foot) remained limited in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Coach Antonio Pierce has stressed Bowers will be ready to go for Sunday's Week 1 opener against the Chargers despite the limited practice reps. The Raiders are expected to use both Bowers and second-year TE Michael Mayer in tandem this season, with Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers handling the wideout reps in an offense that likely won't use a ton of three-receiver looks.
Sep 4, 2024
Limited practice Wednesday
Bowers (foot) was limited at practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Per Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com, coach Antonio Pierce noted before practice that Bowers would be "ready to go," and despite his listed limitations Wednesday, the rookie tight end is trending toward being available for Sunday's season opener against the Chargers. Bowers now has two more chances to log a full practice session prior to the announcement of his team's final injury report ahead of Week 1 action.
Sep 4, 2024
Returning to practice
Bowers (foot) is returning to practice Wednesday, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Bowers missed most of the team's practices between mid-August and the end of the month, but coach Antonio Pierce sounded optimistic Wednesday about the rookie's chances of playing Sunday against the Chargers. The extent of Bowers' practice participation will be revealed Wednesday afternoon when the Raiders release their first official injury report of the season, with Pierce noting that Bowers will be "ready to go," per Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com.
Aug 29, 2024
Trending toward Week 1 availability
Coach Antonio Pierce noted Thursday that he feels very good about Bowers (foot) being on the field for the Raiders' season opener, Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Bonsignore, the Raiders are simply exercising prudence with the rookie tight end, who has been managing foot soreness of late. Added context regarding Bowers' status should arrive no later than next week's initial practice/injury report, but at this stage it appears as though Bowers will be available for the team's Week 1 contest against the Chargers on Sept. 8.
Aug 28, 2024
Remains absent Wednesday
Bowers (foot) is not participating in Wednesday's practice, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bowers hasn't practiced since missing the Raiders' Aug. 18 preseason matchup against the Cowboys due to what was labeled foot soreness. Coach Antonio Pierce said last week that Bowers' absence is precautionary, per Tashan Reed of The Athletic, but the rookie first-rounder's status nonetheless needs to be monitored. Bowers has a bit less than two weeks to ramp up his activity level ahead of Las Vegas' regular-season opener against the Chargers on Sept. 8.
Aug 21, 2024
Misses practice
Bowers (foot) didn't practice Tuesday, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Bowers was held out of Saturday's 27-12 preseason loss to Dallas with foot soreness -- an injury that hadn't previously been reported. The Raiders named Gardner Minshew as their Week 1 starter a day later, answering one of the big questions about their offense heading into the season. One of the other questions is how TE snaps will be divided between Bowers and Michael Mayer, especially in clear passing situations when the Raiders will want three WRs and only one TE on the field.
Aug 18, 2024
Sits preseason game with sore foot
Bowers didn't play Saturday night's preseason game against the Cowboys due to a sore foot, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
There was no reporting of the foot issue prior to the game, nor of Davante Adams (undisclosed) "tweaking something at practice" earlier in the week prior to him missing the game as well. The practice reports this week will reveal how severe if at all this injury is.
