Cedric Tillman Injury News & Updates
Keep up with the latest injuries from the Browns vs Raiders game on Sunday with our National Football League injury report.Nov 16, 2025
Leads team in receiving in defeat
Tillman caught three of four targets for 52 yards in Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Tillman was able to pace the team in receiving yards while finishing tied for the lead in catches with fellow wideout Jerry Jeudy. The 25-year-old was limited by a glute injury at practice throughout the week, but he didn't look any worse for wear in Week 11. Tillman will look to build off of Sunday's performance when the Browns square off with the Raiders in Week 12.
Nov 14, 2025
Cleared to face Ravens
Tillman (glute) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman upgraded to full participation Friday after a pair of limited practice showings to avoid a Week 11 injury designation. Heading into his second game back from a stint on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury, Tillman projects to operate as Cleveland's No. 2 wide receiver alongside Jerry Jeudy.
Nov 13, 2025
Stays limited Thursday
Tillman (glute) remained limited in practice Thursday, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear if this glute injury is connected to the hamstring injury that landed Tillman on injured reserve prior to his return in Cleveland's Week 10 loss to the Jets. Tillman may just be getting eased back into practice following his return to action, but he would probably need to log a full practice Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Ravens.
Nov 12, 2025
Limited in practice
Tillman was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a glute injury, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Thomas returned from a hamstring injury for Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Jets, catching two of four targets for 11 yards while tying for second on the Browns in route share (74 percent). Fellow Browns wideout Isaiah Bond (foot) returned to practice Wednesday as a limited participant, but he may just be a reserve behind Tillman, Jerry Jeudy and Jamari Thrash at this point.
Nov 9, 2025
Two catches in return
Tillman (hamstring) caught two of four targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Tillman was the only Browns wide receiver other than Jerry Jeudy to record a catch in Sunday's loss. Jeudy and tight ends David Njoku and Harold Fannin all seem to be ahead of Tillman in the pecking order among Cleveland's pass catchers heading into Week 11 against the Ravens, but at least Tillman made it through unscathed in his first game since Week 4. The third-year wideout was activated from injured reserve Saturday.
Nov 9, 2025
Active Sunday
Tillman (hamstring) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Ahead of being activated from injured reserve Saturday, Tillman logged a week of full practices, which should position him to step back in a key role in the Browns passing game in his first game action since Week 4. His return comes at an opportune time, with Isaiah Bond (foot) inactive, though it remains to be seen what level of volume Tillman will see alongside fellow WR Jerry Jeudy, with tight ends Harold Fannin and David Njoku both candidates to see plenty of looks from QB Dillon Gabriel on Sunday. In four games played thus far, Tillman has recorded an 11/106/2 receiving line on 20 targets.
Nov 8, 2025
Expected to play Sunday
Tillman (hamstring) is expected to play Sunday against the Jets, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman was activated from injured reserve earlier Saturday and is expected to make his return to the lineup after being injured in Week 4. With Tillman back in action and Isaiah Bond (foot) ruled out, Tillman should step right back into an every-down role alongside Jerry Jeudy. Tillman, however, has yet to play a game with Dillon Gabriel under center, making him a risky fantasy bet in what is already one of the league's least-potent passing attacks. The good news for Tillman is the Jets' trade of No. 1 CB Sauce Gardner to Indianapolis earlier in the week.
Nov 8, 2025
Activated from injured reserve
The Browns activated Tillman (hamstring) from injured reserve Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Tillman was a full participant in practice during Week 10 prep, and while he's still listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets, the expectation is that the third-year wide receiver will play, per Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site. With Isaiah Bond (foot) ruled out, Tillman could see heavy usage in his return from a four-game absence due to a hamstring injury he sustained in Week 4 against the Lions.
Nov 7, 2025
Questionable but expected to play
Tillman (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets, but he's expected to be activated from injured reserve and suit up, Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman has been practicing without limitations, but an official move adding him to the active roster will need to be performed in order for the wide receiver to make his return to game action Sunday. Isaiah Bond (foot) has been ruled out, so Cleveland's wide receiver depth chart consists of Jerry Jeudy, Jamari Thrash, Gage Larvadain and Malachi Corley, pending Tillman's return.
Nov 7, 2025
Expected to come off IR
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Friday that he expects Tillman (hamstring) to be activated off injured reserve and suit up Sunday against the Jets, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Cleveland still has to officially activate Tillman, but all signs point to the wide receiver returning for his first action since Week 4. Tillman's likely to jump right back into a starting role against a Jets defense that traded away top cornerback Sauce Gardner on Tuesday. Fellow Browns wideout Isaiah Bond (foot) is expected to sit out.
Nov 5, 2025
Full practice participant
Tillman (hamstring) was a full practice participant Wednesday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said last Monday that Tillman was expected back after the Week 9 bye. A full practice confirms the wideout is on track to make that happen, likely stepping back in as a starter for an offense that's gotten just 632 cumulative receiving yards from its wide receivers this season. Poor QB play and an emphasis on the RBs/TEs are part of that, but it's also fair to say that neither Tillman nor Jerry Jeudy has shown the form that contributed to their respective hot streaks last season. Jeudy figures to continue starting anyway, with Tillman more likely to take snaps that have been going to Isaiah Bond (DNP - foot) and Jamari Thrash.
Nov 3, 2025
Cleared to practice
The Browns designated Tillman (hamstring) for return to practice Monday.
ANALYSIS
Now that Tillman has been cleared to practice, the Browns will have 21 days to evaluate him, but assuming he responds well to workouts this week, he'll likely be activated from injured reserve in advance of Sunday's game at the Jets. Before landing on IR and missing four games prior to the Browns' Week 9 bye, Tillman had accrued an 11-106-2 receiving line on 20 targets through Cleveland's first four contests.
Oct 27, 2025
Expected back after bye
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday that Tillman (hamstring) is expected to return to action after the team's Week 9 bye, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman is eligible to have his 21-day practice window opened Week 9, during Cleveland's bye, and he appears on track to retake the field and suit up on the road against the Jets on Sunday, Nov. 9 in Week 10. For the time being, however, Tillman remains on IR, where he's been since Week 4 due to a lingering hamstring injury. Across four regular-season appearances to begin the year, Tillman produced a 11-106-2 receiving line on 20 targets.
Sep 30, 2025
Lands on IR
The Browns placed Tillman (hamstring) on injured reserve Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Tillman had generated an 11-106-2 receiving line on 20 targets through the first four weeks of the season before exiting early in this past Sunday's 34-10 loss to the Lions with the hamstring injury. As a result of his move to IR, Tillman will have to miss at least the next four games, making the Browns' Week 10 game against the Jets as his earliest possible return date. While Tillman is out, Isaiah Bond and Jamari Thrash are expected to see added opportunities on offense behind No. 1 wideout Jerry Jeudy.
Sep 29, 2025
Multi-week absence on deck
Browns head coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that Tillman (hamstring) will be sidelined for "weeks," Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman and DeAndre Carter (knee) both appear in line to miss multiple games, beginning Week 5 against the Vikings, though Stefanski didn't specify whether either wide receiver is considered a candidate to land on IR. Across four regular-season appearances thus far, Tillman has secured 11 of 20 targets for 106 yards and two touchdowns. As long as Tillman remains sidelined, Isaiah Bond will figure to handle an expanded role alongside No. 1 receiver Jerry Jeudy.
Sep 28, 2025
Hurts hamstring Sunday
Tillman won't return to Sunday's game against the Lions after sustaining a hamstring injury.
ANALYSIS
Tillman approached the contest without an injury designation after being limited Wednesday and Thursday by listed hand and hip issues, so Sunday's hamstring injury is something new for the wideout. Prior to his exit, Tillman caught one of his two targets for six yards. In his absence, Isaiah Bond, Jamari Thrash and DeAndre Carter are available to handle WR snaps that don't go to Jerry Jeudy.
Sep 26, 2025
Cleared to play Week 4
Tillman (hand/hip) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Lions, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Following back-to-back limited practices Wednesday and Thursday, Tillman was able to log a full session Friday, paving the way for him to play Sunday. Tillman has secured 10 of 18 targets for 100 yards and two touchdowns through three games this season.
Sep 25, 2025
Limited again Thursday
Tillman (hand, hip) remained limited at practice Thursday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
With back-to-back limited sessions thus far, Tillman will probably need to practice fully in order to avoid an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Lions. With a 10/100/2 receiving line on 18 targets through three games, Tillman is on the fantasy lineup radar in Week 4 while working alongside fellow starting WR Jerry Jeudy.
Sep 24, 2025
Limited by hand injury
Tillman (hand) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman secured all three of his targets for 26 yards during Cleveland's win over the Packers in Week 3, though he played a season-low 74 percent of offensive snaps. That also marked his first game of the season without a touchdown. The No. 2 receiver will have two more chances to upgrade his activity level at practice ahead of Sunday's road matchup against Detroit.
Sep 21, 2025
Three catches in Week 3 win
Tillman caught all three targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 13-10 win over the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Tillman, who had 15 targets and two touchdowns through the first two weeks, was kept out of the end zone for the first time and had his fewest targets of the season. The production drop in Week 3 has more to do with Cleveland's sputtering offense and shouldn't be seen as a designed plan to reduce Tillman's role. He's been on the field for 86 percent of the offensive snaps, second only to Jerry Jeudy (86.5 percent) among the Browns wide receivers.
Sep 7, 2025
Scores in Week 1 loss
Tillman caught five of eight targets for 52 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Bengals in Week 1.
ANALYSIS
Tillman snagged a five-yard pass on a crossing route in the back of the end zone for Cleveland's lone touchdown. He also had one of three fourth-quarter drops by Browns receivers. His drop with 1:24 remaining was the dagger, as it bounded off his hands and into the arms of the Bengals' DJ Turner. Despite the drop, a lot went right in Week 1 for Tillman, who saw good target volume and had a 25-yard reception. He enters the season as the No. 2 wideout opposite Jerry Jeudy, and nothing that transpired Sunday will change that.
Aug 26, 2025
Back at practice
Tillman (thumb) is participating in Tuesday's practice, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman missed nearly a week of practice due to a minor thumb injury, but he's now back on the field well in advance of Cleveland's regular-season opener against the Bengals on Sunday, Sept. 7. He's primed to kick off the 2025 campaign as the No. 2 wide receiver, behind Jerry Jeudy, for starting quarterback Joe Flacco.
Aug 20, 2025
Picks up minor thumb injury
Tillman missed Wednesday's practice with a non-serious thumb injury, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
He presumably won't play in Cleveland's preseason finale but should be fine for the regular-season opener against Cincinnati on Sun., Sept. 7. Tillman looks to be the No. 2 wide receiver for Cleveland, although it may end up being a fluid depth chart beyond top target Jerry Jeudy. With Joe Flacco named as the Week 1 starter, there's an opportunity for decent receiving production even if the Browns are unlikely to field an efficient offense.
Aug 16, 2025
Snags only target Saturday
Tillman caught his only target for 18 yards in Saturday's 22-13 preseason win over the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
The third-year wideout got the start and connected with Dillon Gabriel for a long gain on the Browns' second drive of the day. Tillman's production through his first two seasons has suffered due to injuries and inconsistent quarterback play, but he has shown occasional flashes of upside. He's ticketed for the No. 2 WR spot on the depth chart opposite Jerry Jeudy, and the Cleveland passing game could be a little more stable in 2025 with Joe Flacco expected to be under center.
Jul 26, 2025
Back at practice
Tillman (lower leg) returned to practice Saturday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman left practice early Friday but was quickly cleared of a serious injury, and his return to the practice field confirms this was only a scare. The 2023 third-round pick is in line for the No. 2 wideout role in Cleveland behind Jerry Jeudy. Last season, Tillman recorded 29 receptions for 339 yards and three touchdowns across 11 games.
Jul 25, 2025
Expected to be fine after scare
Tillman is believed to be okay after leaving practice early Friday due to a lower left leg injury, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman had to leave the field Friday after appearing to hurt his left leg during practice. The specifics of the injury aren't yet clear, but Schultz's report suggests that the 25-year-old wideout isn't dealing with a major issue. That's a sigh of relief for Cleveland and Tillman, who's in line to work as the Browns' No. 2 wideout this season behind Jerry Jeudy.
Jul 25, 2025
Leaves practice early
Tillman left Friday's practice early, walking to the locker room with a member of the medical staff, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
ESPN Cleveland reports that Tillman was holding his lower leg after going down in the back of the end zone at the end of a play. It could just be cramping or a bruise, but he ended up missing the rest of practice. The Browns have shaky WR depth even when everyone is healthy, and they already opened camp with David Bell (hip) and Michael Woods (hand) unavailable. Tillman is expected to start after he seemingly broke through in the middle of last season, only to then miss the final month in concussion protocol.
Jun 26, 2025
Should have full-time role
Tillman is expected to have a full-time role in 2025, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Other than inking a baggage-heavy Diontae Johnson to a one-year deal with zero guaranteed money, the Browns didn't do much during the offseason to upgrade the receiving corps. Tillman was having a breakout middle portion of the season in 2024 before a concussion forced him to miss the final six weeks -- he was back on the field for OTAs this summer. Following the departure of Amari Cooper last season, the Browns gave Tillman an opportunity, and he delivered. Over a four-game span, he caught 24 of 40 targets with three touchdowns. He's the biggest target (6-foot-3) among the receiving group and could be a factor in a passing game that may incorporate a lot of deep passes if Joe Flacco is the staring quarterback.
May 29, 2025
On field for OTAs
Tillman (concussion) is participating in OTAs and worked alongside Jerry Jeudy with the first-team offense Wednesday, Dan Lebbe of cleveland.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman missed the Browns' final six regular-season games of 2024 while in the concussion protocol and ended the year on IR, so it's encouraging to see him working without any apparent limitations during spring drills. The 2023 third-round pick seems the early favorite to earn the No. 2 receiver spot alongside Jeudy, with Elijah Moore now in Buffalo and veteran Diontae Johnson representing Cleveland's largest splash at wideout this offseason. Tillman was barely involved the first six weeks of 2024, in which span he totaled just six catches for nine yards, but he enjoyed a brief five-game breakout with Jameis Winston under center from Week 7 to Week 12. He put together a 26-330-3 receiving line on 44 targets in those five appearances, with the concussion cutting his Week 12 short at 56 percent of snaps. As Tillman works to translate that production into a true Year 3 breakout rather than a mere flash in the pan, he seems destined to once again have to overcome a quarterback rotation that will carry the risk of
Dec 31, 2024
Finishing season on IR
The Browns placed Tillman (concussion) on injured reserve Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Tillman wasn't much of a factor in the Browns' passing game through the first six games of the campaign, but he saw his production take off after Jameis Winston took over under center when Deshaun Watson (Achilles) sustained a season-ending injury in Week 7. Over a four-game stretch from Weeks 7 through 11, Tillman produced a 24-302-3 receiving line on 40 targets while playing at least 80 percent of the offensive snaps in every contest. However, after being forced out early of the Browns' Week 12 win over the Steelers with a concussion, Tillman has made slow progress through the five-step protocol. He's missed each of the Browns' last five games while managing nothing more than limited participant in practice beforehand, and with a Week 18 return seemingly not in the cards, Tillman will be shut down for the season. Tillman should be fully cleared in advance of the offseason program and may have showed enough during his impressive stretch earlier in the season to head into 2025 with a meaningful role in Clevel
Dec 27, 2024
Will miss fifth straight game
Tillman (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman will miss his fifth consecutive game, as he's been extremely slow to move through the league's concussion protocol. Michael Woods should again start on the outside opposite Jerry Jeudy, with Elijah Moore maintaining his slot role for Cleveland.
Dec 26, 2024
Remains limited in practice
Tillman (concussion) was a limited practice participant Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Tillman has been slow to move through the NFL's concussion protocol after sustaining the head injury in a Nov. 21 win over the Steelers. He's sat out the Browns' last four games, and despite being a limited participant in both of the team's first two practice sessions of Week 17, he's far from a lock to clear the five-step protocol ahead of Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Jerry Jeudy (knee/shin) was also limited for the second day in a row while tight end David Njoku (knee) remained a non-participant, so the Browns could be without as many as three key pass catchers this weekend.
Dec 25, 2024
Logs limited listing Wednesday
Tillman (concussion) was listed as limited on Wednesday's practice estimate, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
As of Monday, head coach Kevin Stefanski noted that Tillman is continuing to work his way through the NFL's concussion protocol. The wideout has missed four straight straight games, so his status for Sunday's 4:05 ET kickoff against the Dolphins remains uncertain.
Dec 21, 2024
Missing fourth straight game
Tillman (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Bengals, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
This is the fourth game Tillman will miss after suffering a concussion against the Steelers back on Thursday night football in Week 12. The switch from Jameis Winston to Dorian Thompson-Robinson might subdue what had been a vibrant passing attack with Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore absorbing the majority of the passing volume in Tillman's absence.
Dec 20, 2024
Questionable to face Cincinnati
Tillman (concussion) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman remains in concussion protocol, but the Browns are hopeful he'll be able to play, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports. Tillman has missed three straight games after being concussed in Week 12 against the Steelers. If cleared to play Sunday, he steps right back into a prominent role and plus matchup versus Cincinnati. However, the quarterback switch from Jameis Winston to Dorian Thompson-Robinson is a significant downgrade.
Dec 19, 2024
Still limited at practice
Tillman (concussion) remained limited at practice Thursday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman, who last played in Week 12, now has one more chance to practice fully ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals. Either way, Friday's final injury report will reveal whether he heads into the weekend with an injury designation or cleared to return to action this weekend. If Tillman remains sidelined versus Cincinnati, however, Jerry Jeudy, Elijah Moore and Michael Woods would be in line to lead the Browns' Week 16 wide receiver corps.
Dec 18, 2024
Practices but still in protocol
Tillman (concussion) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman has missed Cleveland's past three games, and while Wednesday's limited session was a step in the right direction, he has yet to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol, per Cabot. Coach Kevin Stefanski expressed optimism Monday regarding Tillman's chances of suiting up Sunday against the Bengals, but even if Tillman returns, the 2023 third-round draft pick would be tough to trust in fantasy with the Browns shifting to Dorian Thompson-Robinson under center.
Dec 16, 2024
Could return to action Week 16
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday he's "hopeful" that Tillman (concussion) will be available for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman has missed three consecutive games while progressing though the NFL's five-step concussion protocol, but it appears that he's trending in the right direction for Week 16. Stefanski offered similar optimism regarding the status of tight end David Njoku (hamstring), who missed Week 15's loss to the Chiefs. Getting both Tillman and Njoku on the field would provide a notable boost to Cleveland's receiving corps behind Jerry Jeudy, a development that would be particularly helpful with Nick Chubb (foot) having suffered a season-ending fracture.
Dec 13, 2024
Won't play Sunday
Tillman (concussion) will be out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com and Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram report.
ANALYSIS
Per Petrak, coach Kevin Stefanski relayed Friday that Tillman -- who practiced in a limited capacity this week -- didn't clear the NFL's concussion protocol. With Tillman still sidelined and tight end David Njoku (hamstring) listed as questionable, the Browns' top healthy pass catchers heading into the weekend are Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore.
Dec 12, 2024
Remains limited Thursday
Tillman (concussion) was limited at practice Thursday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman was also limited Wednesday, but he'll have one more chance to practice fully before Week 15 injury designations are assigned. Tillman has missed the Browns' last two games, but his ability to practice, albeit in a limited fashion, suggests that he has a chance to gain clearance to suit up Sunday against the Chiefs.
Dec 11, 2024
In line for limited practice
Tillman (concussion) is slated to return to practice on a limited basis Wednesday, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman has missed the past two games, but after not practicing last week the wideout's return to practice Wednesday, albeit in a limited capacity, has him trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Tillman's potential return arrives at an opportune time, with fellow key pass catcher David Njoku dealing with a hamstring issue that could impact his Week 15 status.
Dec 11, 2024
Participating in practice Wednesday
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Wednesday that Tillman (concussion) will participate in practice, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman has missed Cleveland's last two games and didn't practice in any capacity prior to being ruled out for Week 14, so it's encouraging to see him back on the field Wednesday. In order to suit up Sunday versus the Chiefs, though, Tillman will need to gain full clearance from the NFL's concussion protocol, including from an independent neurologist.
Dec 10, 2024
Still in protocol
Tillman remained in the concussion protocol as of Monday, Patrick Warren of the Browns' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman, who missed the last two games due to the concussion, will need to advance to full practice participation in addition to gaining clearance from an independent neurologist to have a chance at playing in this Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Michael Woods has been seeing expanded snaps alongside starting receivers Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore thus far in Tillman's absence.
Dec 6, 2024
Ruled out for Week 14
Tillman (concussion) is ruled out for Sunday's road matchup against the Steelers, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman hasn't yet resumed practicing since being forced out of Cleveland's loss to Pittsburgh back in Week 12 due to a concussion. setting him up to miss a second straight contest. Tillman's absence will leave Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore in position to operate as Jameis Winston's top two wideouts versus the Steelers on Sunday. Michael Woods will figure to be elevated from the practice squad and may be the favorite for the No. 3 role, especially with Jamari Thrash (shoulder) listed as questionable.
Dec 6, 2024
Sidelined at practice Friday
Tillman (concussion) is not participating in Friday's practice, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman hasn't yet progressed to the stage of the concussion protocol that involves returning to practice as a limited participant, which makes him a likely candidate to miss Sunday's divisional matchup against the Steelers. Cleveland's official practice report Friday will reveal whether or not the team has made the decision to rule Tillman out for Week 14, or if he has a chance to work to gain clearance through the weekend. If Tillman can't go, Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore will work as Jameis Winston's top wideouts, with Jamari Thrash (shoulder) and practice-squad man Michael Woods competing for No. 3 reps.
Dec 5, 2024
Not practicing Thursday
Tillman (concussion) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman was also deemed a non-participant in Wednesday's walk-through, which puts the focus on what he's able to do (if anything) during Friday's session in terms of his status for Sunday's game against the Steelers. If Tillman -- who was inactive in Week 13 -- remains sidelined this weekend -- added targets would be available for fellow WRs Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore (shoulder) as well as TE David Njoku.
Dec 4, 2024
Set log 'DNP' Wednesday
Tillman (concussion) is in line to be listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Browns are holding a walk-through Wednesday, so what Tillman is able to do during Thursday's session will provide more context regarding his chances of playing Sunday against the Steelers. According to head coach Kevin Stefanski, Tillman -- who was inactive in Week 13 -- has "a chance"to play this weekend. In his absence versus the Broncos this past Monday, fellow WRs Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore combined to rack up 27 targets.
Nov 30, 2024
Not able to play Monday
Tillman (concussion) was ruled out ahead of Monday's game against the Broncos, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Even with the extra few days, Tillman was unable to clear concussion protocol after suffering the injury in last Thursday's win over the Steelers. Jerry Jeudy absorbed some of the workload in Tillman's absence last week, but slot target Elijah Moore might be tasked with more looks given Denver's star cornerback Patrick Surtain will likely follow Jeudy around most of the evening.
Nov 29, 2024
Another DNP on Friday
Tillman (concussion) remained a non-participant in practice Friday, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman has logged back-to-back DNPs, so he's trending toward sitting out Monday against the Broncos after being concussed in last Thursday's 24-19 win over the Steelers. He'll have one more opportunity to take the practice field Saturday, but Tillman would have to log a full practice and gain clearance from an independent neurologist to have a chance to exit the NFL's five-step concussion protocol prior to Monday's game.
Nov 28, 2024
Listed as DNP on Thursday
Tillman (concussion) was deemed a non-participant in practice Thursday, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman's DNP isn't a surprise, as head coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday that the wideout is still in concussion protocol. Tillman has an extra day to clear the league's five-step protocol with Cleveland playing against Denver on Monday Night Football, but his status is nonetheless in doubt for that contest. If Tillman can't suit up against the Broncos, Elijah Moore could get more targets and Jamari Thrash could log more snaps on offense.
Nov 27, 2024
Still in concussion protocol
Tillman remains in the NFL's concussion protocol, per head coach Kevin Stefanski, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman suffered a concussion in last Thursday's win over the Steelers, but with the wideout still in the protocol, his status will need to be monitored as Monday night's game against the Broncos approaches. Added context regarding Tillman's Week 13 status will arrive via Thursday's practice report, but if he isn't cleared to face Denver, Jamari Thrash would be a candidate to log added WR snaps behind Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore.
Nov 21, 2024
Diagnosed with concussion
Tillman was diagnosed with a concussion during Thursday's 24-19 win over the Steelers, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman exited the game late in the third quarter and was evaluated for a head injury. He will have 11 days to clear concussion protocol, as the Browns won't play until Monday night in a Week 13 matchup against the Broncos.
Nov 21, 2024
Being evaluated for head injury
Tillman is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Steelers due to a head injury, Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman took a hard hit late in the third quarter, which was presumably when he suffered the injury. The exact diagnosis is unclear at this time. Prior to his exit, Tillman recorded two receptions on four targets for 28 yards and also lost a fumble.

Notches three catches in Week 11
Tillman gathered in three of eight targets for 47 yards during Sunday's 35-14 loss at New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Prior to the Browns' Week 10 bye, Tillman surpassed 75 receiving yards in three straight games en route to a cumulative 21-255-3 line on 32 targets. The volume still was there for the second-year receiver as QB Jameis Winston aired it out 46 times, but Jerry Jeudy (6-142-1 on 11 targets), David Njoku (9-81-0 on nine targets) and Elijah Moore (6-66-1 on eight targets) were the main beneficiaries this time around. Cleveland has a quick turnaround Thursday against a tough Steelers defense, so Tillman may have his work cut out for him to produce Week 12.
Nov 3, 2024
Gets into end zone late Sunday
Tillman secured six of 11 targets for 75 yards and a touchdown in the Browns' 27-10 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Jameis Winston struggled throughout the afternoon against a relentless Chargers defense that sacked him six times and picked him off on three occasions. However, Tillman still garnered enough of his attention to tie with Jerry Jeudy for the team lead in targets while setting the pace in receiving yards. The second-year wideout was also on the other end of Winston's only passing touchdown of the day, securing a difficult 17-yard grab late in the fourth quarter for his third score in the last two games. Tillman has clearly established himself as one of Winston's most trusted targets, leaving the 2023 third-round pick with a bright outlook for a Week 11 road matchup against the Saints following a Week 10 bye.
Oct 27, 2024
Stars in upset win
Tillman recorded seven receptions on nine targets for 99 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 29-24 win over the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Tillman has benefitted from a combination of the departure of Amari Cooper as well as Jameis Winston providing the team with more stable quarterback play. He followed up his breakout Week 7 performance by catching long touchdowns of 22 and 38 yards while serving as the primary deep target in the Browns' offense. Tillman has certainly shown enough to remain locked into a key role, though his stat lines are likely to be volatile if he continues to operate more frequently in deep areas of the field relative to the rest of Cleveland's pass catchers.
Oct 20, 2024
Breaks out in Week 7 loss
Tillman caught eight of 12 targets for 81 yards in Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Bengals in Week 7.
ANALYSIS
After Cleveland traded Amari Cooper to Buffalo last week, speculation as to which receiver(s) would pick up the available targets mainly focused on Jerry Jeudy, Elijah Moore and David Njoku. Tillman, to a lesser degree, was also expected to see a bump in activity, but Sunday's results were off the charts. The 2023 third-round pick out of Tennessee entered the contest with just five targets (three catches) and hadn't been thrown to the previous three games. Whether Tillman will continue to see numbers like this going forward is uncertain, a word that also describes the state of the Browns' quarterback situation. Both Deshaun Watson (Achilles') and Dorian Thompson-Robinson (finger) left the game, leaving Jameis Winston to finish out as the emergency quarterback.
Oct 15, 2024
Likely to move into starting role
Tillman is expected to move into a regular role in three-receiver sets after the Browns traded Amari Cooper to the Bills on Tuesday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore (ribs) remain ahead of him on the depth chart and will likely rank as higher priorities in the passing game, but Tillman should move into a starting role for Cleveland with Cooper no longer in the mix. Through the Browns' first six games, Tillman had mustered just three catches for nine yards on five targets while playing 114 total snaps on offense. Even though his playing time is expected to rise, Tillman still looks to be largely off the fantasy radar with struggling quarterback Deshaun Watson having yet to complete more than 25 passes or clear 200 passing yards in any game this season.
Oct 14, 2024
One touch in loss
Tillman was not targeted and had one carry for minus-5 yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to Philadelphia in Week 6.
ANALYSIS
Tillman's lone touch came on a 3rd-and-1 on the Eagles' side of the field and resulted in a longer field-goal attempt for Dustin Hopkins, who was wide right from 52 yards Tillman, who went untargeted for a third consecutive week, could grab a larger slice of the target pie in Week 7 depending on the status of Elijah Moore (ribs).
Sep 30, 2024
Nine target-less snaps in Week 4
Tillman was not targeted over nine snaps in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
The snaps were the fewest of the season for Tillman, who had been above 20 the first three weeks. Perhaps his costly drop in a Week 3 loss to the Giants cost him playing time.
Sep 23, 2024
One catch, one drop in loss
Tillman caught one of two targets for four yards in Sunday's 21-15 loss to the Giants in Week 3.
ANALYSIS
The ball Tillman didn't catch was costly; he dropped a nicely placed ball on 4th-and-4, which turned out to the Browns' final offensive play. Tillman had just replaced Amari Cooper, who was shaken up the previous play. If Cooper has a significant injury, that would mean more playing time for Tillman, who has three catches on five targets for nine yards through three weeks.
Sep 16, 2024
One grab in win
Tillman caught one of two targets for two yards in Sunday's 18-13 win over Jacksonville.
ANALYSIS
Tillman, who played 26 snaps for the second straight week, had just two of the 27 targets allocated to wideouts in the win. He's locked in at fourth on the depth chart, which means limited opportunity beyond the Browns' top three of Amari Cooper (eight targets), Jerry Jeudy (six) and Elijah Moore (eight). Tillman has two receptions on three targets for five yards through two games.
Sep 9, 2024
One target Week 1
Tillman caught his lone target for three yards in Sunday's 33-17 loss to the Cowboys in Week 1.
ANALYSIS
Tillman served as the fourth wideout, playing 26 snaps, as the Browns leaned heavily on their top three wide receivers. None of the four, which also includes Amari Cooper, Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore, had a good day, but that was mainly due to an ugly performance by quarterback Deshaun Watson (51.1 QB rating).
Aug 25, 2024
Four catches in preseason finale
Tillman brought in four of five targets for 52 yards in the Browns' 37-33 preseason loss to the Seahawks on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
Tillman saw his first target on the first play of the Browns' second possession, with the 2023 third-round pick recording a 23-yard grab from Jameis Winston. Tillman went on to make six- and 19-yard receptions on that drive, putting together a strong finish to the preseason. The Tennessee product generated a modest 21-224 line across 14 regular-season games as a rookie, and he's projected to enter Week 1 operating as Cleveland's No. 4 receiver.
Aug 11, 2024
Works with starters Saturday
Tillman caught one of two targets for three yards in Saturday's 23-10 preseason loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
While he didn't make much of an impact, Tillman got the start for Cleveland and both his targets came on the team's opening drive with Jameis Winston under center. The offseason addition of Jerry Jeudy (leg) pushed Tillman down the depth chart at wide receiver, but the 2023 third-round pick still has a chance to overtake Elijah Moore for the No. 3 spot before the regular season begins.
May 9, 2024
Could take a step forward in Year 2
Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer and Zac Jackson of The Athletic suggest that Tillman is a candidate to take a step forward in his second season as a pro.
ANALYSIS
Per Cabot, the Browns figure to frequently employ Amari Cooper, Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore in three-receiver sets, but Tillman nonetheless should see his share of opportunities as the season progresses, especially if injuries hit the aforementioned trio. As a rookie, the 2023 third-rounder recorded a 21/224/0 receiving line on 44 targets in 14 regular-season games, but if he's able to carve out steadier playing time in 2024, the 6-3, 215-pounder -- who missed Cleveland's wild-card loss to the Texans with a concussion -- could emerge as a solid complementary option alongside the team's top pass-catchers. Also in the mix for snaps in the Browns' WR corps are 2022 third-rounder David Bell and 2024 fifth-rounder Jamari Thrash.
Jan 17, 2024
Fails to score TD in rookie season
Tillman (concussion) finished the 2023 season with 21 catches for 224 yards on 44 targets and added an eight-yard run.
ANALYSIS
Tillman dressed in 14 games as a rookie and took on a larger role down the stretch before missing the wild-card round playoff loss to the Texans due to a concussion. He's expected to be healthy by the start of the 2024 season, and while the 2023 third-round draft pick out of Tennessee put up underwhelming numbers in his first NFL campaign, he could benefit from more stability at quarterback in his second season. Five quarterbacks started at least one game for the Browns in 2023: Deshaun Watson (shoulder), Dorian Thompson-Robinson (hip), PJ Walker, Joe Flacco and Jeff Driskel.
Jan 11, 2024
Won't play Saturday
Tillman (concussion) has been ruled out for Saturday's playoff opener against the Texans, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman, who was forced out of the second half of this past Sunday's loss to Cincinnati due to a concussion, will thus target a potential return to action in the divisional round of the postseason, should Cleveland advance. In his absence, David Bell and/or Marquise Goodwin (knee) are candidates to log added snaps this weekend alongside the team's top wideouts, Amari Cooper (heel) and Elijah Moore.
Jan 10, 2024
Misses practice again
Tillman (concussion) isn't practicing Wednesday, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman entered concussion protocol during the second half of Sunday's loss to Cincinnati. If he isn't ready for Saturday's game at Houston, the Browns will look to Marquise Goodwin (knee) and/or David Bell to take WR snaps alongside regular starters Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore. The 23-year-old Tillman played more than 60 percent of snaps on offense in each of Cleveland's last 10 games, averaging 2.0 catches for 21.9 yards on 4.1 targets after the team traded Donovan Peoples-Jones to Detroit.
Jan 9, 2024
Sits out Tuesday's practice
Tillman isn't practicing Tuesday due to a concussion, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman recorded three catches for 43 yards on six targets while playing 34 snaps on offense in Sunday's 31-14 loss to the Bengals before he exited in the second half to be evaluated for a concussion. The wideout's absence from practice two days later suggests he's following concussion protocol, putting his status firmly in question for this Saturday's wild-card game in Houston. If Tillman is unable to play, David Bell would likely serve as the team's No. 3 receiver behind Amari Cooper (heel) and Elijah Moore.
Jan 7, 2024
Being evaluated for concussion
Tillman is being evaluated for a concussion and is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Bengals, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman went to the sideline for an evaluation after he took a big shot to the back of his head with just under 11 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. He caught three passes on six targets for 43 yards before exiting Sunday's contest.
Dec 29, 2023
Snap leader at WR
Tillman caught one of four targets for eight yards in Thursday's 37-20 win over the Jets in Week 17.
ANALYSIS
Tillman entered the game expected to take on a larger role with Amari Cooper (heel) inactive, and he took on increased interest after Elijah Moore entered the NFL's concussion protocol during the game. The rookie led the Browns wideouts with 57 snaps (95 percent) and three of his four targets were in the red zone. Cleveland has extra preparation and healing time before the season finale against the Bengals, and either or both Cooper and Moore could be available. With the Browns having qualified for the postseason, that may enter the decision-making process regarding the availability of the injured receivers Week 18.
Dec 26, 2023
Continues heavy usage
Tillman caught both of his targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 36-22 win over the Texans in Week 16.
ANALYSIS
Tillman continues to see significant time on the field, playing nearly 80 percent of the offensive snaps in the eight games since Donovan Peoples-Jones was traded. While the rookie wideout has experienced an increased target rate over the last five games, Tillman's routes-run percentage is the lowest among the Browns' regulars.
Dec 17, 2023
Four grabs in Week 15 win
Tillman caught four of eight targets for 52 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
The eight targets tied Amari Cooper for second on the Browns and set a new career high for Tillman, but the rookie didn't do much with his opportunities. The 2023 third-round pick has still caught multiple passes in four straight games as his role in the passing game increases, and he'll look to put together a breakout performance in Week 16 against the Texans.
Dec 11, 2023
Remains involved
Tillman caught two of four targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 31-27 win over the Jaguars in Week 14.
ANALYSIS
Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore dwarf Tillman in terms of targets, but the rookie continues to get significant usage. He's played 81.4 percent of the offensive snaps since the Browns traded Donovan Peoples-Jones to Detroit. Recently, that usage translated into targets with an average of five per game over the last three weeks. And now that the Browns settled on the passing-competent Joe Flacco as the starting quarterback for the remainder of the season, Tillman could be in line to make a meaningful fantasy impact.
Dec 4, 2023
Snap leader at WR
Tillman caught two of six targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Rams in Week 13.
ANALYSIS
Tillman led the team's wideouts with 66 snaps and had a season high in targets. The rookie has been a regular presence on the field the last five weeks but it's only been recently that the usage translated into targets; Tillman's seen 11 passes thrown his way the last two weeks. Top wide receiver Amari Cooper sustained a concussion Sunday, leaving Tillman, Elijah Moore and David Bell as the top three healthy wideouts.
Nov 26, 2023
Career-best numbers in loss
Tillman caught four of five targets for 55 yards in Sunday's 29-12 loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
The 2023 third-round pick hauled in more catches for more yardage than he had in his first seven NFL games combined, but all of his production came in the first half with fellow rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson under center. Thompson-Robinson left the game in the third quarter with a concussion, and the lone pass Tillman saw from PJ Walker afterward fell incomplete. Even if Thompson-Robinson is able to clear the league's protocol and suit up in Week 13 against the Rams, Tillman has yet to show enough consistency to be anything more than a deep-league dart throw for fantasy purposes. The chemistry the duo showed in the first half Sunday was encouraging, however.
Nov 20, 2023
Ten combined yards in win
Tillman caught one of two targets for two yards and had one carry for eight yards in Sunday's 13-10 win over Pittsburgh in Week 11.
ANALYSIS
Tillman continued to see ample time on the field -- his second consecutive week with 66 snaps -- but his impact is limited. Sunday's two touches and 10 combined yards were seasons highs for the rookie, but he's not a primary read for Cleveland quarterbacks.
Nov 13, 2023
Three targets in win
Tillman did not catch any of his three targets in Sunday's 33-31 win over the Ravens in Week 10.
ANALYSIS
For a second consecutive week, Tillman was a top-three wideout in terms of snaps (66, 85 percent), as Marquise Goodwin (concussion) and David Bell (knee) were unavailable. Tillman's played a combined 120 snaps the last two games but has just four targets and one catch.
Nov 6, 2023
Season-high snap count
Tillman caught his lone target for three yards in Sunday's 27-0 win over Arizona in Week 9.
ANALYSIS
Tillman was the main beneficiary of the Donovan Peoples-Jones trade and the David Bell (knee) injury. The rookie third-round pick shattered his previous high snap count, but much like Peoples-Jones, the usage didn't translate into many touches. Marquise Goodwin, also in the mix for more run with Peoples-Jones gone and Bell inactive, left the game in the third quarter with a concussion after eight snaps.
Nov 4, 2023
Moves up depth chart again
Tillman will be among the top four wideouts with David Bell (knee) ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Tillman, who has not been active the last three games, moved up the ladder twice this week. First, it was Donovan Peoples-Jones being traded to the Lions, then it was Bell's status for Week 9. It's an ideal week for Tillman, as the return of quarterback Deshaun Watson signals a more productive passing game. Marquise Goodwin is also expected to play a greater role and likely to get most of the snaps that had gone to Peoples-Jones in previous games.
Nov 1, 2023
Could be active Week 9
Tillman moved up the depth chart after Cleveland traded Donovan Peoples-Jones to the Lions on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Tillman, the rookie third-round pick out of Tennessee, has been inactive the last three games (healthy for two of those three). When he was active, Tillman averaged 11 snaps per game and was targeted three times. That the Browns moved on from Peoples-Jones was logical; he was in the final year of his contract and seemingly fell out of favor as a target. The trade may not immediately mean much for Tillman as a fantasy asset, but he could be active going forward and an injury away from a more significant role.
Oct 22, 2023
Healthy inactive
Tillman (coach's decision) is a healthy inactive for Sunday's matchup with the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Tilman missed last week's game due to a hip injury. While he was again listed as questionable due to the issue, it looks like his health is back up to par, but the pass catcher will simply be held out due as a coach's decision.
Oct 18, 2023
Back from hip injury
Tillman (hip) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Scott Petrak of The Chronicle-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman sat out this past Sunday's upset win over San Francisco after being a late addition to the injury report, but the 2023 third-round draft pick has put that injury behind him. Barring a setback, Tillman should suit up Sunday against the Colts.
Oct 13, 2023
Won't suit up vs. 49ers
Tillman (hip) is listed as out for Sunday's game versus San Francisco, Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Tillman will sit out in Week 6 after first being added to the injury report Thursday. Marquise Goodwin could see an uptick in snaps on the boundary Sunday in Tillman's absence.
Oct 12, 2023
Doesn't practice Thursday
Tillman (hip) didn't practice Thursday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
The rookie was added to the injury report Thursday. Tillman caught his first NFL pass in the Browns' Week 4 loss to the Ravens, gaining five yards. He's buried on the Browns' wideout depth chart and has minimal fantasy value outside of dynasty formats.
Oct 2, 2023
Makes first NFL catch in loss
Tillman caught one of three targets for five yards in Sunday's 28-3 loss to the Ravens in Week 4.
ANALYSIS
Tillman made his first NFL grab and was targeted for the first time this season. All the targets came on the Browns' final possession, including twice in the red zone. The rookie remains buried on the depth chart and has played 44 snaps through four weeks. The Browns are off Week 5.
Sep 25, 2023
No targets again
Tillman played 11 snaps and was untargeted in Sunday's 27-3 win over the Titans in Week 3.
ANALYSIS
That made three consecutive weeks without a target for Tillman, who has averaged 10 snaps per game. He sits on the second tier of Cleveland's wideout depth chart along with David Bell (four targets, 31 snaps) Marquise Goodwin (four targets, 30 snaps).
Sep 19, 2023
Untargeted in loss
Tillman played nine snaps and was not targeted in Monday's 26-22 loss to Pittsburgh.
ANALYSIS
For the second consecutive week, Tillman saw minimal time on the field and went untargeted. His 19 snaps through two weeks are the fewest among Cleveland's six wideouts.
Sep 11, 2023
No targets in debut
Tillman played 10 snaps and was not targeted in Sunday's 24-3 win over the Bengals in Week 1.
ANALYSIS
Tillman, who was selected in the third round of the 2023 draft, made his NFL debut Sunday. He was part of the second tier of wideouts, along with Marquise Goodwin (10 snaps) and David Bell (10).
Aug 17, 2023
Makes big catch Thursday
Tillman secured two of three targets for 50 yards in the Browns' 18-18 preseason tie with the Eagles on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Tillman saw both of his targets on the Browns' first drive, a 12-play, 75-yard march that ended in a John Kelly fumble at the shadow of the Eagles' goal line. The bulk of Tillman's production came on a game-long 36-yard reception down the left side that put the ball at Philadelphia's 16-yard line. Tillman has recorded a pair of grabs in each of the Browns' first three preseason games, and with Elijah Moore (rib) and Marquise Goodwin (NFIA-illness) both still sidelined, the rookie third-round pick appears on track to open the regular season in a solid complementary role.
Aug 12, 2023
Grabs two passes Friday
Tillman caught two of four targets for seven yards in Friday's preseason game against Washington.
ANALYSIS
Tillman, a third-round pick in 2023, has four catches through two preseason games. He's expected to land a roster spot, but where Tillman sits on the depth chart depends on injuries in the wide receiver room. Elijah Moore sustained a rib injury Friday, and he will join Marquise Goodwin (illness) and Jaelon Darden (leg) in the trainer's room.
Aug 4, 2023
Two catches in preseason opener
Tillman secured two of three targets for 35 yards during the Browns' 21-16 preseason win over the Jets in Thursday night's Hall of Fame Game.
ANALYSIS
The 2023 third-round pick tied with Austin Watkins for the team lead in receiving yardage while also recording the Browns' second-longest catch of the night (20 yards). Tillman was a 1,000-yard receiver at Tennessee in 2021 before being limited to six games as a senior, and with Marquise Goodwin (illness) on the NFI list indefinitely, the rookie could carve out a No. 4 receiver role with a strong enough summer.
Apr 28, 2023
Added by Cleveland in third round
The Browns selected Tillman in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 74th overall.
ANALYSIS
Tillman (6-foot-3, 213 pounds) went one pick after fellow Tennessee receiver Jalin Hyatt (Giants), but Tillman is the more well-rounded of the two. Though his 4.54-second 40 makes Tillman the lesser big-play threat of the duo, his much sturdier frame and otherwise adequate athleticism (37-inch vertical, 128-inch broad jump) renders him more versatile overall. However, in his rookie campaign, Tillman likely projects to compete with David Bell to serve as the swing backup at receiver behind the top three of Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones and Elijah Moore.
