Set loose by Ravens
Williams was waived by Baltimore on Monday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams was a fourth-round draft pick by the Ravens in 2022 and played in 14 regular-season games during his rookie campaign. However, he missed almost all of last season due to an ankle injury and struggled in Saturday's preseason loss to Green Bay, which may have sealed his fate in terms of making the 53-man roster. Williams is versatile enough to log reps out wide, in the slot and at safety, which could help him land on an NFL roster in due time.

Back in gear
Williams is participating in drills during OTAs, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams went to Baltimore's injured reserve list with an undisclosed injury back in January, but he's now apparently healthy enough for football activities again. After the Ravens added Nate Wiggins and T.J. Tampa during April's draft, Williams might have to fight just for a spot on the 2024 roster.

Placed on IR again
The Ravens placed Williams (undisclosed) on injured reserve Monday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams spent the first 14 weeks of the season on injured reserve after undergoing ankle surgery in August. He was activated ahead of Week 15 but was inactive the next three games before making his season debut in Week 18 against the Steelers, playing 19 snaps on special teams. Williams' season is now over.

The Ravens activated Williams (ankle) from the injured reserve list Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Williams was placed on IR on Aug. 31 after undergoing a surgical procedure for an ankle injury. He was designated to return from injured reserve Nov. 21 and has been a full participant in practice since then. Williams will now be available to make his 2023 debut for Week 15 against the Jaguars.

Designated to return from IR
Williams (ankle) was designated to return from injured reserve Tuesday, Clifton Brown of the Ravens' official website reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams has been out since undergoing ankle surgery in early August and the team has now opened a 21-day window for him to return to practice and ultimately be added to the active roster. If he cannot make his return within the 21 days, the cornerback will remain on IR for the rest of the season.

Headed to IR
The Ravens placed Williams (ankle) on injured reserve Thursday, Clifton Brown of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams underwent ankle surgery after being carted off during practice on Aug. 10. Now that the 2022 fourth-round pick out of Houston has been placed on IR, he will be forced to sit out the first four games of the season.
Aug 14, 2023
Set for ankle surgery
Williams (ankle) is slated to have surgery that will likely leave him sidelined for the start of the season, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach John Harbaugh indicated Williams will likely be ready by October, so he is unlikely to be placed on injured reserve until the final roster cuts are set. Once that happens and he is subsequently placed on IR, he will be eligible to return by Week 5 if his recovery remains on track.

Leaves practice early
Williams (undisclosed) left practice early Thursday after being carted off the field, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams was able to walk after being taken from the field, so it's hard to say how severe the injury may be. The 25-year-old started camp on the PUP list due to an undisclosed injury, although he's been active in camp since July 31, and it's unclear if the injuries are related. He'll now work to get healthy and still has plenty of time to prepare for Week 1.

Ready to compete
Williams (undisclosed) was activated from the PUP list Monday, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams will now be able to practice with his team for the first time during training camp. The second-year pro is expected to compete for the nickel job in Baltimore's secondary.
Jul 21, 2023
Placed on PUP list
Williams (undisclosed) was placed on the PUP list Friday.
ANALYSIS
Williams will open the Ravens' training camp on the sidelines as he continues to nurse an undisclosed injury. Good news is that the cornerback is eligible to return to practice and play at any point this preseason.

Second CB to Baltimore
The Ravens selected Williams in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 141st overall.
ANALYSIS
After two years at community college, Williams moved on to Houston, where he played 34 games (33 starts) over three seasons. He's not shy about being physical with receivers, and he showed discipline in avoiding penalties. Refining his technique will be crucial for making the NFL leap because his size and speed are average at best. He is the second cornerback that the Ravens selected in the fourth round, as they already picked Jalyn Armour-Davis at 119th overall.
