Doesn't make 53-man roster
Hardy was waived by the Rams on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
The 2022 seventh-round pick out of Montana State began last season on injured reserve and missed the first 11 games of the year. Hardy did appear in the final six games of Los Angeles' campaign, recording four tackles. He'll be on the lookout for a new team ahead of the coming season.

Making return from IR
The Rams activated Hardy (ankle) from their injured reserve list Saturday ahead of Sunday's game versus Seattle.
ANALYSIS
After missing the entirety of his rookie season up to this point, Hardy could be on track to make his NFL debut in Week 13 versus the Seahawks. And with the Rams quite thin at outside linebacker, he could be asked to fill a significant role right away.

Returns to practice Wednesday
The Rams designated Hardy to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Hardy suffered an ankle injury during Week 2 of the preseason and was placed on IR ahead of the regular season. The seventh-round rookie will now have 21 days to return to practice and be restored to the active roster, or else he'll revert to IR for the remainder of the 2022 campaign. When available, Hardy could stand to serve an immediate role at outside linebacker after the Rams also waived Justin Hollins on Nov. 22.

Placed on IR
The Rams placed Hardy (ankle) on injured reserve Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Hardy didn't suit up for the preseason finale after appearing in each of the first two exhibition games, but it's unclear when he suffered the ankle injury. While the extent of the issue remains unclear, the rookie seventh-round pick will be forced to miss at least the first four games of the regular season after landing on IR.

Going to Los Angeles
The Rams selected Hardy in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 235th overall.
ANALYSIS
Hardy was overshadowed by Montana State teammate and second-round pick Troy Andersen, but Hardy evidently caught the eye of the Rams anyway. He posted interesting pro day numbers at 6-foot-2, 235 pounds, making up for a mediocre 4.69-second 40 with memorable numbers in the vertical (40 inches), broad jump (127 inches) and three-cone drill (6.71 seconds).
