Inks two-year extension with Bills
Buffalo and Edwards agreed to terms Wednesday on a two-year, $6 million contract extension, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Edwards played at a high level in 2023, his debut season with the Bills, and keeping the veteran guard around at this price is a no-brainer as he heads into his age-27 season. The two-year extension includes nearly $3 million guaranteed with up to $1.2 million annually playtime incentives.

Heads to Buffalo
Edwards signed with the Bills on Thursday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Edwards spent the first four seasons of his career with the Rams after being selected by them in the fifth round of the 2019 Draft. The veteran guard missed significant time last season due to a concussion, appearing and starting in just four games. Now presumably past the issue, he may have the opportunity to compete for a starting job in Buffalo, and at least should bolster the team's depth across the offensive line.

Done for season
Edwards (concussion) was returned to IR on Wednesday and will be out for the remainder of the season, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Edwards was placed on IR on Oct. 11 after suffering his second concussion of the season. He was designated to return Nov. 16, which opened a 21-day window for him to practice with the team, before he would need to be placed on the active roster. However, that 21-day period has since passed without Edwards regaining his active roster spot. Per league rules, Edwards will need to miss the remainder of the season.

Not ready to return
Edwards (concussion) isn't in line to play Sunday against the Saints after suffering a setback, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Edwards sustained a concussion back in Week 5 versus Dallas, and he was then placed on injured reserve up until Wednesday. The 25-year-old endured an apparent setback in his recovery Friday, ultimately causing him to miss a fifth consecutive contest Sunday versus New Orleans. His next chance to suit up will now come Week 12 in Kansas City.

Designated to return from IR
Edwards (concussion) was designated to return from injured reserve and returned to practice Wednesday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Edwards was placed on IR in mid-October due to a concussion, but he's making progress towards a return. With the move, the Rams open up a 21-day window for the offensive guard to be added to the active roster, but if he isn't, he'll revert back to injured reserve for the remainder of the campaign.

Placed on IR
Edwards (concussion) was placed on the Rams' injured reserve list Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Edwards missed Week 4 due to an illness, but wound up with a concussion on the team's injury report later that week. The guard then played in Week 5 and suffered another head injury that caused him to enter concussion protocols. With the starting 25-year-old sidelined, the Rams' will be thin at offensive line coming up. Edwards played 226 of the team's snaps through his four games.

Enters concussion protocol
Edwards suffered a concussion during Sunday's 22-10 loss to the Cowboys, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Edwards was replaced by Bobby Evans after exiting this Week 4 contest, though Rams coach Sean McVay did not confirm who would step in as the team's starting left guard during Sunday's game against the Panthers, according to Jackson. The 25-year-old started every game for Los Angeles last season, so his absence will mark a significant loss for the team's banged-up offensive line.

Being evaluated for concussion
Edwards is being evaluated for a concussion after exiting Sunday's loss to the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Edwards missed last week's game against the 49ers since he was in the concussion protocol, and he sustained another head injury against Dallas. If he's diagnosed with a concussion, he'll have several steps to clear if he hopes to play next Sunday against Carolina.
Oct 7, 2022
Removed from concussion protocols
Rams head coach Sean McVay said Friday that Edwards is out of concussion protocols and will start Sunday against the Cowboys, Gilbert Manzano of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Edwards was inactive for Monday's loss to the 49ers due to an illness, but he was listed on Wednesday's injury report with a concussion. Regardless, he's since been removed from protocols and has logged back-to-back full practices, putting him in line to return to usual spot as the team's starting left guard.
Oct 6, 2022
Full participant Thursday
Edwards (concussion) was a full participant during the Rams' practice Thursday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Edwards was ruled inactive with an illness for Monday's loss to the 49ers, though he was listed with a concussion on Wednesday's injury report. While the 25-year-old was able to practice in full Thursday, it's unclear if he's passed through the protocols for such injuries yet. Edwards will step back in as the Rams' starting left guard when healthy.
Oct 2, 2022
Out Monday
Edwards (illness) will not play Monday against the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Edward's absence will leave the Rams down their starting right guard. It's another blow to the team's offensive line, which will also be missing starting center Brian Allen (knee) once again, while also dealing with Tremayne Anchrum (lower leg) and Logan Bruss (knee) already being gone for the season. Jeremiah Kolone will likely draw the start in Edwards' place.
