Goes over century mark with TD
Henry took 18 carries for 103 yards and a touchdown while catching both of his targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 23-16 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Henry put it all together Sunday with his first game going over 100 rushing yards while also scoring a touchdown since his monster Week 1 performance. The 31-year-old is averaging 20.4 carries over Baltimore's last five contests after only seeing 12.8 totes per game over the team's 1-4 start the campaign. The surging Ravens figure to continue leaning on King Henry in hopes of a fifth-straight win next Sunday against the Jets.
Nov 9, 2025
Limited production on 20 carries
Henry rushed the ball 20 times for 75 yards in Sunday's 27-19 win over the Vikings. He added three receptions on three targets for nine yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry saw at least 20 carries for the third time in his last four games, though he struggled to find much running room. He had long gains of 14 and 13 yards, but nine of his 20 rushing attempts went for two or fewer yards. Henry has now been held below 100 rushing yards in six of nine games for the campaign, with his six touchdowns propping up his fantasy value.

Over 100 in Lamar's return
Henry rushed 19 times for 119 yards and brought in his only target for two yards in the Ravens' 28-6 win over the Dolphins on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Henry's yardage total, which was partly fueled by a game-long 35-yard run, was his third highest of the season and marked his second time over the 100-yard mark in the last three contests. The bruising running back has also seen his carry volume tick up after averaging just 11.5 per game between Weeks 2-5, as he's logged between 19 and 24 rush attempts in the last three contests. Henry should remain in an elevated role during a Week 10 road matchup against the Vikings on Sunday, Nov. 9.
Oct 26, 2025
Scores two TDs in Week 8 win
Henry carried the ball 21 times for 71 yards and two touchdowns while failing to catch his only target in Sunday's 30-16 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
With Lamar Jackson (hamstring) out again, Baltimore needed Henry to step up, and while he didn't break any gains longer than 10 yards, he came through when it counted with a pair of two-yard TD plunges in the second and fourth quarters. In the process, he moved past the legendary Walter Payton into sole possession of fifth place on the NFL's all-time rushing touchdowns list with 112. Six of those scores have come this season, along with 510 rushing yards in seven games, and he'll look to add to that total in Week 9 against the Dolphins.
Oct 12, 2025
Gets back on track
Henry rushed the ball 24 times for 122 yards in Sunday's 17-3 loss to the Ravens. He added one reception on two targets for eight yards.
ANALYSIS
The Ravens' offensive game plan was to feed Henry as much as possible, limiting the need for Cooper Rush to take to the air. That was effective in the first half, as Henry delivered 18 carries for 90 yards while Baltimore also controlled time of possession. Game script ultimately got away from the team, but this was a needed performance from Henry, both in terms of volume and efficiency. He recorded three rushes of more than 10 yards to top 50 yards for the first time since Week 1. Henry's 25 touches were also his most of the campaign, and he should benefit from the expected return of Lamar Jackson (hamstring) in Week 8, following the team's bye.
Oct 5, 2025
Struggles against Texans
Henry rushed the ball 15 times for 33 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 44-10 loss to the Texans. He did not catch his only target.
ANALYSIS
Henry predictably couldn't find much rushing room with Cooper Rush under center, with his longest gain of the day going for seven yards. He managed to avoid complete disaster by scoring a one-yard touchdown late in the third quarter, but he's now been held to 50 rushing yards or fewer in four of five games to begin the season. Henry's outlook in Week 6 will be highly dependent on Lamar Jackson's (hamstring) availability, but he has another tough matchup against the Rams.
Sep 28, 2025
Quiet against Chiefs
Henry rushed the ball eight times for 42 yards in Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Chiefs. He added two receptions on three targets for 16 yards.
ANALYSIS
The Ravens attempted only 17 rushes as a team, with Lamar Jackson accounting for six of those. That left Henry with limited volume, with four rushes in each half. He performed efficiently enough by gaining double-digit yards on two carries and one reception, but the game script ultimately held him back. Henry has had a poor start to the season with three lost fumbles in high-profile situations, and he's now been held to 50 or fewer rushing yards in three consecutive games.
Sep 22, 2025
Critical fumble in home loss
Henry rushed 12 times for 50 yards and a touchdown and brought in his only target for seven yards in the Ravens' 38-30 loss to the Lions on Monday night. He also lost a fumble.
ANALYSIS
Henry was coming off a disappointing 11-carry, 23-yard performance against a tough Browns defense, so in that regard, Monday's production was encouraging on the surface. The multi-time Pro Bowler also recorded his third rushing touchdown of the season on a 28-yard run in the first quarter that answered an early Lions touchdown. However, that was easily overshadowed by Henry's second critical fourth-quarter fumble over the first three games of the season, as he was stripped of the ball at his own 22-yard line with 8:31 remaining with Baltimore trying to overcome a 28-24 deficit. Detroit was able to add three more critical points as a result of the highly favorable field position, helping lead to the upset victory. Henry and his teammates won't have much time to dwell on Monday night's outcome, however, as a road trip to Kansas City for a Week 4 showdown with the Chiefs awaits this coming Sunday.
Sep 14, 2025
Bottled up in lopsided win
Henry rushed 11 times for 23 yards and wasn't targeted during the Ravens' 41-17 win over the Browns on Sunday. He also also committed a fumble recovered by Baltimore.
ANALYSIS
The offense ran through Lamar Jackson and his pass catchers Sunday, as the star signal-caller finished with four touchdown passes and turned in a turnover-free performance. In contrast, Henry was consistently bottled up, and considering eight of his yards came on one carry, he truly found next to no running room throughout the afternoon. After a spectacular first three-plus quarters of the new season, Henry's fortunes have taken a turn for the worse beginning with his critical fumble in the final period of the Week 1 loss to the Bills. His next opportunity to reverse course will come in a Week 3 home interconference clash against the Lions on Monday night, Sept. 22.
Sep 8, 2025
GOAT turns to goat on final drive
Henry rumbled for 169 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries while catching his lone target for 13 yards with a lost fumble in Sunday's 41-40 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Henry suffered the lowlight of Sunday's contest when the normally sure-handed back coughed up a fumble on Baltimore's final drive, allowing Buffalo to drive down the field for the game-winning FG. Fantasy managers won't lost any sleep over the rare fumble, as it came on the heels of a monstrous statistical performance from the 31-year-old. The perennial All-Pro lost just one fumble over his last two full seasons, so Sunday's faux pas should be considered an anomaly. Henry is showing no signs of slowing down heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Browns.

Rested for entire preseason
Henry didn't play at all during the preseason, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Neither did Lamar Jackson, Justice Hill, Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman or Mark Andrews, among others. Henry didn't miss any time with injuries during spring practices or training camp, seemingly still going strong at age 31. His next game will be in the same location as his last one, with the Ravens heading to Buffalo in Week 1 after losing there in the second round of the playoffs. Henry took 16 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown in the loss, unable to approach his season-high total of 199 rushing yards from Baltimore's Week 4 home win over Buffalo.

Not in line to play vs. Cowboys
Henry is among the key Ravens' players not slated to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Cowboys, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry, who also didn't play in last Thursday's preseason opener, is no lock to see any action in the Ravens' Aug. 23 preseason finale, either. Ahead of Week 1, he's entrenched as a high-volume No. 1 option in a backfield that also includes Justice Hill, Keaton Mitchell and Rasheen Ali.
Aug 5, 2025
Not playing Thursday
Henry and other key starters won't play in Thursday's preseason opener against the Colts, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry didn't play at all last preseason and probably won't make an appearance this year. He's stayed healthy through the offseason program and the first two weeks of training camp, after signing a two-year, $30 million extension in May.

Gets two-year extension with Ravens
Henry and Baltimore agreed to terms Wednesday on a two-year, $30 million contract extension, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry had been slated to earn a $6 million base salary on the final year of his deal with the Ravens, but he now gets new contract averaging $15 million per year over the next two seasons, with $25 million fully guaranteed. The 31-year-old rushed for 1,921 yards and 16 scores across 17 regular-season games after inking a two-year deal with the Ravens last March, with 19 catches for 193 yards (on 22 targets) and another two touchdowns through the air. As Schefter reports, Henry now carries the highest average salary in NFL history for a running back over the age of 30, with the deal reflecting the fact that against all odds, the bruising ballcarrier has yet to show any signs of slowing down. In his inaugural season with Baltimore, Henry's average of 5.9 yards per carry ranked as the highest mark of his career, and he also set new career-best marks in terms of 20-plus yard carries (with 19) and rushes of 40-plus yards (five). Though he boasts less pass-catching upside than other top options at the running back

Wants to finish career in Baltimore
Henry said last week that he wants to finish his career with the Ravens, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Ravens coach John Harbaugh has already mentioned Henry as a candidate for an extension, after the 31-year-old ran for 1,921 yards and 16 touchdowns in 17 regular-season games during the first year of a two-year, $16 million contract. The two sides likely will discuss a deal that lowers Henry's 2025 cap hit ($12.895 million) without reducing his real-money compensation. He's currently scheduled for a non-guaranteed $6 million base salary and a $1 million roster bonus (due on the fifth day of the 2025 league year), plus $2.5 million available via incentives ($2 million of which he earned in 2024).
Jan 22, 2025
Baltimore considering extension
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said Tuesday at his season-ending press conference that the team will "look at" potentially extending Henry this offseason, Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry is currently heading into the final season of the two-year, $16 million contract he inked with Baltimore after departing Tennessee as a free agent last offseason. The Ravens are now incentivized to restructure the deal -- which carries a potential 'out' for $3.9 million in dead cap -- and it's no surprise that the team would prefer to do so in the form of an extension beyond the 2025 season. Henry is coming off a phenomenal inaugural campaign in purple and black, having compiled 1,921 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns on a career-high 5.9 YPC across 17 regular-season games, in addition to 19-193-2 through the air. The 31-year-old hasn't yet shown any signs of slowing down, and as long as Henry is playing at an elite level he'll remain a perfect offensive complement to quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Jan 19, 2025
Solid showing in season-ending loss
Henry rushed 16 times for 84 yards and a touchdown and failed to secure either of his two targets in the Ravens' 27-25 divisional-round loss to the Bills on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Henry's opportunities were somewhat capped by a game script that saw the Ravens trail from the 8:52 mark of the second quarter on. The bruising back still managed to rattle off several chunk gains throughout the evening, and he punched in a five-yard touchdown run with 1:37 remaining in the third quarter to bring Baltimore within two points for the first of two occasions in the second half. Henry proved a seamless fit in the first year of a two-year, $16 million contract with the Ravens, rushing for 1,921 yards -- the second-highest total of his career -- and 16 touchdowns at a career-high 5.9 yards per carry, numbers he complemented with a 19-193-2 receiving line across 17 regular-season games.
Jan 11, 2025
Cementing place in history
Henry rambled for 186 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 26 attempts without recording a target in Saturday's 28-14 playoff win over the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Henry posted monstrous fantasy numbers despite not recording a reception in Baltimore's convincing wild-card victory. The perennial All-Pro joined another tier of legendary tailbacks when he matched Hall of Famer Jim Brown for the most games with 150 rushing yards and two touchdowns in NFL history, with that mark currently sitting at 13 regular and postseason games (source: ESPN Research). Henry could separate himself from the Browns' great in that specific regard if he can replicate those numbers in the divisional round against either the Bills or the Chiefs next weekend.
Jan 4, 2025
Breaks Ravens' rushing TD record
Henry rushed 20 times for 138 yards and two touchdowns while catching two of three targets for 23 receiving yards in Saturday's 35-10 win over Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Henry broke legendary Baltimore RB Jamal Lewis' franchise record for most rushing touchdowns in a single season with his first trip to the end zone Saturday. The 30-year-old Henry accomplished the feat in his first season with the club, setting the new high-water mark at 16 rushing touchdowns. He also became the first player in NFL history with three seasons recording at least 1,500 rushing yards and 15 rushing scores. King Henry will look to keep his strong campaign going in next week's wild-card round against either the Steelers or Chargers.
Dec 25, 2024
Another elite rushing performance
Henry rushed 27 times for 147 yards and a touchdown and brought in both targets for 18 yards in the Ravens' 31-2 win over the Texans on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Just four days after trampling the Steelers defense to the tune of 162 yards, Henry nearly matched the elite output in a victory over another AFC contender. The bruising veteran added to the second-best rushing yardage total of his career with the second consecutive prolific performance, pushing his season tally to 1,783 heading into a Week 18 home regular-season finale against the Browns on Sunday, Jan. 5, a game where he'll also look to snap a rare five-game touchdown drought before the postseason begins.
Dec 21, 2024
Steamrolls Steelers
Henry carried the ball 24 times for 162 yards and caught both his targets for 27 yards in Saturday's 34-17 win over Pittsburgh.
ANALYSIS
The 189 scrimmage yards were Henry's highest single-game total since Week 4, when he trampled the Bills for 199 yards on the ground and 10 more through the air. The veteran RB blew past the 1,500-yard milestone on the season in the process, and his 1,636 yards represents his best showing since his career-high 2,027 yards in 2020. Henry will look to keep rolling in Week 17 on the road against the Texans.
Dec 15, 2024
Subdued performance in Week 15
Henry rushed 14 times for 67 yards and wasn't targeted during the Ravens' 35-14 win over the Giants on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
With Lamar Jackson throwing five touchdown passes, Henry was in the rare role of forgotten man of the offense Sunday. The bruising back's non-descript afternoon was his first of under 70 rushing yards without a touchdown during his nascent but stellar Ravens tenure. Henry will have a tough time bouncing back in a Week 16 Saturday afternoon home matchup against the Steelers, considering the quality of Pittsburgh's run defense.
Dec 1, 2024
Churns out 111 yards on 22 touches
Henry rushed 19 times for 82 yards and brought in all three of his targets for 29 receiving yards in Sunday's 24-19 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Henry didn't post a monstrous stat line like we have become accustomed to over the course of his storied career, but he still produced 111 yards from scrimmage without turning the ball over. The simple fact that this performance checked out as one of Henry's lowest fantasy scores of the season paints a picture of how dominant King Henry has been since aligning stars with Lamar Jackson in Baltimore this past offseason. With the added rest from Baltimore's upcoming bye, Henry should be locked in for a strong finish to the campaign when the Ravens resume play against the Giants on Dec. 15.
Nov 25, 2024
Prolific rushing total in win
Henry rushed 24 times for 140 yards in the Ravens' 30-23 win over the Chargers on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Facing a defense that had ranked in the top half of the league in multiple metrics against the run, Henry ran roughshod throughout the night on his way to a robust 5.8 yards per carry. The bruising back crossed the century mark on the ground for the first time since Week 9 and for the sixth time overall in his Ravens debut campaign. Henry did go without a target for the second straight game after recording a catch in four consecutive contests from Weeks 7-10, but he's riding high for a showdown against Saquon Barkley and his Eagles teammates in a Week 13 home showdown late Sunday afternoon that could serve as a Super Bowl preview.
Nov 17, 2024
Punches in 15th TD of season
Henry carried the ball 13 times for 65 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 18-16 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
It was Henry's lowest output since Week 1 from a yardage perspective, but he salvaged his day with a one-yard TD plunge in the second quarter. It was his 13th score of the season on the ground and 15th in total, the third time in his career he's reached that mark but the first since 2020. Henry has gotten into the end zone in 12 straight games dating back to his final game as a Titan last season, a streak he'll look to extend in Week 12 against the Chargers.
Nov 8, 2024
Another TD in high-scoring win
Henry rushed 16 times for 68 yards and a touchdown and secured his only target for three yards in the Ravens' 35-34 win over the Bengals on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
With Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson trading touchdown passes throughout the night, Henry took more of a back seat than usual but still found a way to contribute a solid fantasy performance. The star running back scored on a one-yard run in the latter portion of the third quarter, his fourth score in the last three games. Henry's rushing yardage total was his lowest since Week 1, but game script and the lack of a breakaway run played a part. Henry's fantasy stock will remain very elevated heading into a tough Week 11 road matchup against the division-rival Steelers on Sunday, Nov. 17.
Nov 3, 2024
Thunders for two TDs in big win
Henry carried the ball 23 times for 106 yards and two touchdowns and caught his only target for 27 yards in Sunday's 41-10 win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
It was another dominant performance for Henry, who has 11 rushing touchdowns and five 100-yard games through the season's first nine weeks. He blew past the 1,000-yard mark on the year with this effort, sitting at a league-leading 1,052 with eight games left on the Ravens' schedule. Henry seems poised for another big game in Week 10 against a Bengals defense he churned out 92 yards and a TD against in their first meeting of 2024.
Oct 27, 2024
Limited involvement in loss
Henry rushed the ball 11 times for 73 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 29-24 loss to the Browns. He added one reception on one target for four yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry saw his fewest rushing attempts of the season and his lowest yardage total since Week 1. Baltimore was in neutral or slightly negative game script for much of the game, but it was still surprising to see the typically run-heavy unit take to the air 38 times as opposed to tallying only 21 rushing attempts. Despite those drawbacks, Henry still managed a decent fantasy performance in large part due to a 39-yard run and two-yard touchdown plunge -- both of which came in the fourth quarter. He has found the end zone in all eight games this season.
Oct 22, 2024
Extends TD streak to seven games
Henry rushed 15 times for 169 yards while catching his only target for a 13-yard touchdown in Monday's 41-31 win over the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Henry was quiet in the first half but got rolling after halftime with bursts of 81 and 39 yards on the ground before putting an exclamation point on his night with a 13-yard receiving touchdown, which doubled as Lamar Jackson's fifth passing touchdown in Baltimore's latest stellar performance on offense. Henry has found the end zone in all seven of his games with the Ravens while rushing for at least 132 yards in four of the past five. The 30-year-old running back is showing no signs of slowing down and is likely to handle another heavy workload in Week 8 against the 1-6 Browns.
Oct 13, 2024
Steamrolls Commanders on Sunday
Henry carried the ball 24 times for 132 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 30-23 win over Washington.
ANALYSIS
The former Titan continues to dominate, scoring multiple touchdowns with 100-plus rushing yards for the third time in the last four games. Henry is well on his way to another rushing crown with a league-leading 704 yards on the ground through six weeks, and his 5.9 yards per carry would be a career high if he can maintain that pace. He'll look to keep rolling in Week 7 against the Buccaneers.
Oct 6, 2024
Saves best for last in OT win
Henry carried the ball 15 times for 92 yards and a touchdown and caught his only target for four yards in Sunday's 41-38 overtime win over the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
The star running back opened the scoring in the first quarter with a one-yard TD plunge, but Henry had minimal yardage until he took advantage of a tired Cincy defense to rumble 51 yards on his last carry of the day. The huge gain set up Justin Tucker for the game-winning field goal, a chip-shot 24-yarder in OT. Henry has 572 yards and six touchdowns on the ground through his first five games as a Raven, and he should see a hefty workload again in Week 6 against the Commanders.
Sep 29, 2024
The King shines on national stage
Henry ran for 199 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries while securing all three of his targets for 10 yards and another score in Sunday's 35-10 win over the Bills.
ANALYSIS
King Henry ruled supreme on Sunday Night Football from start to finish with his best game as a member of the Ravens. The longtime Tennessee tailback ripped off a franchise-high touchdown run of 87 yards on Baltimore's first offensive play of the night. It was steady sailing from there as Henry proceeded to rack up over 200 combined yards with two trips to the end zone in a statement win over Buffalo. The 30-year-old has rumbled for 480 yards and five touchdowns in just four games with his new club. Fantasy managers should continue to ride King Henry's hot streak into next week's road tilt against the Bengals.
Sep 22, 2024
Bulldozes Dallas
Henry rushed the ball 25 times for 151 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 28-25 win over the Cowboys. He added one catch on one target for 23 yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry entered the game with only 32 total touches across two games, but the Ravens relied upon him heavily due to maintaining a comfortable lead for the majority of the game. He turned in a vintage performance by tallying a pair of rushes of more than 20 yards, highlighted by a 26-yard touchdown run during which he broke several tackles. He also chipped in a 29-yard carry early in the third quarter that was highlighted by a stiff arm on Caelon Carson. As his usage early on suggests, we shouldn't expect to see Henry earn this type of volume on a weekly basis, but he has proven capable of taking advantage when given the opportunity.
Sep 15, 2024
Good use of opportunities in loss
Henry rushed 18 times for 84 yards and a touchdown and secured his only target for 12 yards in the Ravens' 26-23 loss to the Raiders on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Henry's afternoon was highlighted by a 29-yard run, and he grinded out 55 yards on his other 17 totes. One of those was a three-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter, his second score in as many games in a Ravens uniform. Henry has yet to hit the 20-carry mark with his new squad, but he'll hope to take advantage of a Cowboys defense that surrendered four total touchdowns to the Saints' Alvin Kamara when he faces them in a Week 3 road matchup.
Sep 6, 2024
Scores TD in Ravens debut
Henry rushed 13 times for 46 yards and a touchdown and failed to bring in either of his two targets in the Ravens' 27-20 loss to the Chiefs on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Henry was featured on his first regular-season drive as a Raven, taking the first touch of the night from scrimmage for a two-yard run and eventually capping off the opening possession with a five-yard touchdown run for the first points of the new season. The veteran offseason addition was sparsely utilized after that point, however, logging only eight more carries the rest of the way, in part due to game script. Henry did resemble the explosive power back he established himself as over the last several seasons in Tennessee, but a much better picture of where he fits within the team's offense will become clearer in gams where he can handle a much more conventional workload.
Sep 4, 2024
Set for lead role in Ravens debut
Henry is set to lead Baltimore's backfield Thursday against the Chiefs despite not playing in the preseason, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry will be making his Ravens debut Thursday, and Baltimore understandably didn't want to add any unnecessary tread to the 30-year-old running back's tires during the preseason after he handled 1,529 regular-season carries over the past five seasons with the Titans, leading the NFL in rushing attempts four times in that span. Justice Hill figures to fill a change-of-pace role behind Henry on Thursday in a Baltimore backfield that may not have any other options with Keaton Mitchell (knee) on the PUP list and Rasheen Ali (neck) listed as doubtful.
Aug 7, 2024
Not in line to log preseason action
Henry isn't slated to see any preseason action, according to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network.
ANALYSIS
The Ravens have nothing to gain by exposing their lead back to injury during exhibition play, so the next time he's in line to take part in a game will be in Week 1 against the Chiefs. In the meantime, Rasheen Ali, Owen Wright and Chris Collier should have an opportunity to make their cases for depth slotting behind Henry and Justice Hill.

Lands with Ravens
Henry is signing a two-year contract with the Ravens, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
It's a match that's been rumored all offseason, after the Ravens infamously attempted just six RB carries in an AFC Championship Game loss to Kansas City. For Henry, it'll be the first change of scenery in his pro career, following an eight-year stint with the Titans that featured five 1,000-yard rushing seasons, including three over 1,500 and one over 2,000. He led the league with 280 carries in 2023 and hit paydirt 12 times, though he averaged a career-low 4.17 yards per attempt whilst ceding nearly half of Tennessee's backfield snaps to rookie Tyjae Spears. There's reason to believe the 30-year-old's YPC mark will rebound with the move to Baltimore, where he'll have superior QB play and likely a better offensive line. Henry's contract reportedly has a base value of $16 million over two years, with $9 million guaranteed and then another $4 million available via incentives.
Feb 27, 2024
Likely to leave Titans
Henry doesn't seem likely to stay with the Titans, though GM Ran Carthon suggested Tuesday that the team will at least have conversations about re-signing the running back, ESPN's Turron Davenport reports.
ANALYSIS
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Monday that none of the RBs eligible for free agency in March are expected to receive franchise tags. New Titans coach Brian Callahan has expressed interest in re-signing Henry, but it might not be the best fit given Callahan's more pass-focused system and Henry's stated emphasis on winning a Super Bowl. A re-signing before free agency thus seems highly unlikely, with Henry likely to see what's available rather than committing to the Titans before he gets that chance.
Jan 26, 2024
Could fit with new coach?
New Titans coach Brian Callahan suggested Friday that he'd like to work with Henry, who is scheduled for unrestricted free agency this offseason, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. "A player like [Henry' fits into any offense," Callahan said. "If he's open to a return, that fits for us. I'm never going to reject good players. "
ANALYSIS
The hiring of a head coach that previously served as offensive coordinator for the pass-first Bengals has been taken by some as a(nother) sign Henry is likely to leave Tennessee. Callahan does have a point, however, in part because Henry is probably a better receiver and blocker than he gets credit for. The two other big factors here are: A) money, and B) the possibility Henry wants to play for a team with better Super Bowl odds in 2024. He turned 30 at the beginning of January, three days before running for 153 yards and a touchdown in a 28-20 win over Jacksonville. It was Henry's fourth 100-yard game of the season, boosting his per-carry average to 4.2 yards and allowing him to finish second in the league in rushing yardage (1,167).
Jan 7, 2024
Leads Titans to upset win
Henry rushed the ball 19 times for 153 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-20 win over Jacksonville.
ANALYSIS
In what is likely to be his final game as a Titan, Henry delivered a vintage performance to help the team to an upset win. His longest gain of the day went for 69 yards on a run up the middle, which set up a touchdown to DeAndre Hopkins two plays later. Henry also took a trip to the end zone himself earlier in the contest, ripping off an 18-yard run off the left end for his 12th touchdown of the year. Henry topped 1,000 rushing yards for the fifth time in his career and now has double-digit scores in six consecutive seasons as he heads to free agency.

Held to 12 touches
Henry rushed the ball 12 times for 42 yards in Sunday's 26-3 loss to the Texans. He was targeted once but did not record a catch.
ANALYSIS
Henry was limited by game script, as the Titans found themselves down by 20 points before halftime. He was held to his lowest carry total since Week 11 as a result and was held under 50 rushing yards for the third time in his last four games. He's masked his yardage shortcomings by finding the end zone twice in four of his last six games, though he's become an unreliable weekly option down the stretch of the fantasy season.
Dec 24, 2023
Bounces back with two TDs
Henry had 19 carries for 88 yards with a touchdown and one reception for 11 yards against Seattle on Sunday. He also completed his only pass attempt for a 12-yard touchdown in the 20-17 loss.
ANALYSIS
Henry rebounded quickly from his worst game of the season against Houston last week by scoring both of Tennessee's touchdowns in Sunday's narrow loss to Seattle. The 29-year-old got a stagnant Titans offense going in the first quarter when he lined up out of the gun and threw his second passing touchdown of the season. Henry has provided fantasy managers with at least two touchdowns in four out of his last five contests. The star tailback will seek vengeance in a rematch against the Texans next Sunday, who held Henry to 10 yards on 20 combined touches in Week 15.
Dec 17, 2023
Terrible showing against Texans
Henry rushed the ball 16 times for nine yards in Sunday's 19-16 loss to the Texans. He added four receptions on four targets for one yard.
ANALYSIS
Henry saw plenty of opportunity -- he earned at least 20 touches for the fourth time in his last eight games -- but that was the end of the good news. He had neither a rush attempt nor a reception of more than six yards, leaving him with his lowest yardage total of the season. Henry should have a chance to bounceback in Week 16 against a Seahawks defense that has been susceptible to opposing rushing attacks this season.
Dec 12, 2023
Finds end zone twice
Henry rushed the ball 17 times for 34 yards and two touchdowns in Monday's 28-27 win over Miami. He added one reception on two targets for 17 yards.
ANALYSIS
The Titans were surprisingly in a neutral game script for much of the matchup, which allowed Henry to maintain the majority of the work out of the team's backfield. He was bottled up on the ground for the entire contest -- his longest rush went for only six yards -- but he managed to find the end zone from one and three yards away. After tallying only four touchdowns across his first 10 games of the season, Henry has now scored six times in the last three contests. He'll face a mediocre Texans' run defense in Week 15.
Dec 7, 2023
In line to play Monday
Henry was limited at practice Thursday for rest purposes, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
It's notable that Henry isn't listed with an injury designation on Thursday's practice report, given that he left this past Sunday's game against the Colts to be evaluated for a concussion. Since then, Wyatt relays that Henry has been feeling good, with no concussion symptoms and will be ready to play in Monday night's game against the Dolphins. The running back is thus set to continue to pace Tennessee's Week 14 backfield, with Tyjae Spears on hand to work in complementary role.
Dec 4, 2023
Avoids concussion
Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said Monday that Henry is not in concussion protocol, John Glennon of NashvillePost.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry didn't return to Sunday's 31-28 overtime loss to the Colts after exiting in the fourth quarter to be checked for a concussion, and Adam Schefter of ESPN reported after the game concluded that the running back was following the protocol. A day later, however, Vrabel said that Henry won't be subject to the protocol ahead of the Titans' Week 14 game against the Dolphins on Miami, with the coach noting that the three-time Pro Bowler felt fine after going through a workout Monday and hasn't been exhibiting any symptoms of a concussion. Assuming Henry doesn't experience any setbacks within the next few days, he should be ready to return to field as a full participant when the Titans resume practicing Thursday. Before departing the loss to Indianapolis, Henry turned in a quality outing for fantasy managers, carrying 21 times for 102 yards and two touchdowns while adding an 18-yard reception on two targets.
Dec 4, 2023
Officially in concussion protocol
Henry is in the league's concussion protocol Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry departed Sunday's 31-28 overtime loss to the Colts to be checked for a concussion, and he's since been placed in the NFL's five-step protocol. He won't be eligible to suit up for game action until gaining full clearance, which puts the veteran running back's status for the Titans' upcoming Monday Night Football matchup in Miami on Dec. 11 in jeopardy. If Henry misses any time it will signify an opportunity for rookie Tyjae Spears, who rushed the ball 16 times for 75 yards and added four receptions on six targets for 13 yards Sunday, to step up as the lead back.
Dec 3, 2023
Exits Sunday's game
Henry exited Sunday's game against the Colts with a possible concussion, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Before exiting the contest to be evaluated for a concussion, Henry carried 21 times for 102 yards and two TDs and caught one of his two targets for 18 yards. In Henry's absence, Tyjae Spears is next up for the Titans' backfield work. Next up for Tennessee is Monday night contest against the Dolphins on Dec. 11.
Nov 26, 2023
Finds end zone twice
Henry rushed the ball 18 times for 76 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Panthers. He added one reception for zero yards.
ANALYSIS
It wasn't quite a vintage performance from Henry, but he nonetheless powered the Titans' offense. He tallied long gains of 18 and 15 yards and also found the end zone from one and 10 yards away. It was a needed bounceback effort for Henry, as he entered Sunday's contest with only 238 rushing yards across his last four games combined. It was also his first multi-touchdown performance of the season, bringing his total to six on the campaign.
Nov 23, 2023
Listed as full practice participant
Henry (ankle) was listed as a full participant on Thursday's practice estimate, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry was deemed limited in Wednesday's session, but his 'full' listing a day later indicates that the running back's initial listing was indicative of load management rather than an injury that could impact his Week 12 availability. Henry is thus slated to continue to lead the Titans' backfield Sunday against the Panthers, a role that has led to him logging double-digit carries in all 10 games that he's played in, though over his last two outings he's been held to 62 yards on 21 carries in that span.
Nov 22, 2023
Logs limited practice
Henry (ankle) was limited at practice Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
During the Titans' 34-14 loss to the Jaguars this past Sunday, Henry logged 25 of a possible 40 snaps on offense, while rushing 10 times for 38 yards and adding one catch for six yards. At this stage there's been nothing to suggest that Henry's Week 12 availability is in danger, and it's possible that his listed limitations Wednesday were maintenance-related. With that in mind, Henry will presumably need to practice fully by Friday in order to avoid an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Panthers.
Nov 19, 2023
Held to 44 total yards
Henry rushed the ball 10 times for 38 yards in Sunday's 34-14 loss to the Jaguars. He added one reception for six yards.
ANALYSIS
The Titans had the ball for just over 23 minutes and ran only 38 offensive plays in the blowout loss. That limited the potential for their skill-position players to produce, and Henry's line was illustrative of that. Positively, he still led Tennessee's backfield in carries and yards. On the other hand, Henry has only 21 carries for 62 yards combined across his last two games.
Nov 12, 2023
Completely stymied in Week 10 loss
Henry rushed 11 times for 24 yards and brought in his only target for minus-4 yards in the Titans' 20-6 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Henry's final numbers essentially spell out how frustrating an afternoon it was for the star running back. Henry's rush attempts tied a season low, while his yardage tally was only higher than his Week 3, 20-yard effort versus the Browns. Game script increasingly put a crimp on Henry's opportunities Sunday, and he'll have another tough matchup on the ground versus the Jaguars in a Week 11 divisional road clash.
Nov 2, 2023
Well-rounded effort in loss
Henry rushed 17 times for 75 yards and a touchdown and brought in three of four targets for 27 yards in the Titans' 20-16 loss to the Steelers on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Henry turned in what can be labeled as a prototypical 2023 effort for him, as he made some solid contributions in the passing game alongside a workman-like effort on the ground. The bruising back scored his fourth touchdown of the campaign just past the halfway point of the second quarter as well on a two-yard run, making it an above-average fantasy night. Henry will look to extend his streak of at least 75 rushing yards to four games when the Titans visit the Buccaneers in a Week 10 road matchup on Nov. 12.
Nov 1, 2023
Good to go Thursday
Henry (ankle) doesn't carry an injury designation for Thursday's game against the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Henry, who was listed as a limited participant Monday and Tuesday, was deemed a full practice participant Wednesday and has been cleared to face the Steelers. He'll be joined in the backfield by rookie quarterback Will Levis, who will make a second straight start while Ryan Tannehill (ankle) remains sidelined once again. Henry, whom the Titans elected not to move prior to Tuesday's trade deadline, is thus set to pace the team's rushing attack versus Pittsburgh. Though Levis authored a four-touchdown performance in his NFL debut last week against the Falcons, Henry was able to enjoy a productive day of his own despite not finding the end zone. The running back finished with 22 carries for 101 yards and caught all four of his targets for 21 yards.
Oct 31, 2023
Limited again Tuesday
Henry (ankle) was listed as limited on Tuesday's estimated practice report, Ben Arthur of FoxSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
For a second consecutive day, Henry was operating with a cap on his reps at Tuesday's walkthrough, giving him just one more chance to log every on-field rep before the Titans potentially hand him a designation for Thursday's game at Pittsburgh. With backup running back Tyjae Spears (ankle) getting a full listing on Tuesday's report after being limited Monday, he appears to be a bit more healthy than Henry as the team makes its way through Week 9 prep.
Oct 30, 2023
Tending to ankle issue
Henry was listed as limited on Monday's practice estimate due to an ankle injury, John Glennon of NashvillePost.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Previously, Henry had some practice limitations Week 3 due to a combination of a toe issue and rest, but he was able to put it behind him and play. With three days to prepare for Thursday's game at Pittsburgh, the Titans may be scaling back his reps to keep him as fresh as possible for Week 9 action. Still, Henry's status will need to be monitored to ensure he isn't in danger of sitting out this week.
Oct 29, 2023
Totals 122 yards
Henry rushed the ball 22 times for 101 yards in Sunday's 28-23 win over the Falcons. He added four catches for 21 yards.
ANALYSIS
The Titans built a two-score lead before halftime with a surprisingly efficient passing attack, leaving Henry with only 39 yards on the ground. As the team tried to control time of possession in the second half, his volume increased, which allowed him to top 100 yards on the ground for the second time this season despite his longest gain going for only 14 yards. Henry's production on the ground has taken a significant downturn through seven games, though he's still averaging over four yards per carry and has added 15 receptions to supplement his fantasy value.
Oct 28, 2023
Unlikely to be traded
The Titans have told Henry he won't be dealt prior to the NFL trade deadline Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The Titans have reportedly received calls from teams around the league inquiring about Henry's availability. It could make sense for Tennessee to deal him considering its 2-4 record and the fact that Henry is in the final year of his contract. For now, however, it appears he won't be on the move, though nothing will be official until the trade deadline has passed on Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET.
Oct 15, 2023
Big play highlights day
Henry recorded 12 carries for 97 yards in Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Ravens. He added two receptions for 16 yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry was held in check for the majority of the day as the Ravens centered their defensive effort around stopping the run. However, he found space on a direct snap early in the third quarter and ripped off a gain of 63 yards to ultimately set up a field goal for the Titans. One possession later, he tallied the team's only touchdown of the day on a 15-yard scamper into the end zone. While he fell short of the century mark on the ground, Henry has now topped 100 total yards or scored a touchdown in four of six contests this season.
Oct 8, 2023
Held in check by Colts
Henry rushed the ball 13 times for 43 yards in Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Colts. He added three receptions for 19 yards.
ANALYSIS
After getting on track in Week 4, Henry had a concerning game against the Colts. As his stat line suggests, he was unable to find much room on the ground, and he was also stood up by Zaire Franklin on a key fourth down with only eight minutes remaining in the game -- a play that contributed significantly to the Tennessee loss. Tyjae Spears also saw a significant role in the offense, earning only four touches fewer than Henry. Overall, the effort continued Henry's slow start to the season, as he has 65 or fewer rushing yards in three of his five games.
Oct 1, 2023
Hits stride in Week 4
Henry rushed the ball 22 times for 122 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's 27-3 win over the Bengals. He added one reception for 11 yards and a two-yard passing touchdown.
ANALYSIS
Henry had seen his production dip in every game this season, though he reversed that trend with his first 100-rushing yard performance of the season. He ripped off several big runs, with his longest gain being a 29-yard run into the end zone, during which he ran through several potential tacklers. Henry also found some unconventional ways to contribute to the offense when he threw a two-yard touchdown to Josh Whyle after taking a direct snap at the goal line.
Sep 24, 2023
Held to 20 yards
Henry rushed 11 times for 20 yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 27-3 loss to the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Henry was held to minus-7 yards on four first-half rushing attempts, then saw limited work in the second half as the Titans mustered just three points against the stout Browns defense. The star running back will look to bounce back in Week 4, when the Titans return home to host the Bengals. Cleveland has allowed only one offensive touchdown through three games, so this poor performance can largely be chalked up to a difficult matchup, though Tennessee's poor offensive line play so far this season suggests not much will come easy for Henry in 2023.
Sep 22, 2023
Healthy for tough Week 3 matchup
Henry (toe) was a full participant in practice Friday and doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Browns, John Glennon of the Nashville Post reports.
ANALYSIS
While the Browns will be adjusting to life without star running back Nick Chubb (knee), Tennessee's workhorse is good to go for this Week 3 clash. Henry was a limited participant Wednesday before missing Thursday's session, and while that absence was reportedly due primarily to rest, it was still reassuring to see Henry get in a full session Friday to prove he's healthy heading into a matchup with a Cleveland defense that's allowing 65.0 rushing yards per game, which is tied with Tennessee for fourth-fewest in the NFL.
Sep 22, 2023
Returns to practice Friday
Henry (toe) returned to practice Friday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry was limited in Wednesday's practice before taking the day off Thursday. His return to practice Friday puts Henry on track to play Sunday against the Browns. The 29-year-old has rushed 40 times for 143 yards and one touchdown through two games, adding five catches for 71 yards on seven targets as a receiver.
Sep 21, 2023
Misses practice Thursday
Henry's absence from practice Thursday was attributed to a combination of his toe issue and rest, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry was limited Wednesday and the running back's listed reasons for his absence Thursday suggest that he was likely having his practice reps managed ahead of Week 3 action. Friday's injury report will reveal whether or not Henry approaches Sunday's game against the Browns with an injury designation or fully cleared to play.
Sep 21, 2023
Sits out practice Thursday
Henry (toe), who was limited Wednesday, didn't practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The downgrade in Henry's participation level Thursday makes the running back's status worth monitoring closely as Sunday's game against the Browns approaches. It's possible that Henry's absence was maintenance-related rather than indicative of a setback, but either way Friday's injury report should provide added clarity with regard to his Week 3 status. If Henry is limited at all this weekend, Tyjae Spears and Julius Chestnut would be next up for added touches in the Titans' backfield.
Sep 20, 2023
Limited by toe issue
Henry (toe) was limited in Wednesday's practice, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry was on the field for 46 of a possible 65 snaps on offense in this past Sunday's overtime win over the Chargers en route to rushing 25 times for 80 yards and a TD and adding three catches for 15 yards. So far there's nothing to suggest that the running back is in any danger of missing this weekend's game against the Browns, but he'll presumably need to log a full practice by Friday in order to avoid a Week 3 injury designation.
Sep 17, 2023
First touchdown of 2023
Henry rushed the ball 25 times for 80 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win over the Chargers. He added three receptions for 15 yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry was predictably more involved in the offense in Week 2 after seeing only 15 carries in the season opener. He had two big plays in the game, including a 23-yard carry in the second quarter that ultimately helped set up a field goal. One possession earlier, he leaped across the goal line from one yard away to record both his and the team's first touchdown of the season. Henry has had limited production on the ground by his standards to begin the new campaign, but he has 214 total yards of production.
Sep 10, 2023
Big play as pass catcher
Henry rushed the ball 15 times for 63 yards in Sunday's 16-15 loss to the Saints. He added two receptions on three targets for 56 yards.
ANALYSIS
Despite facing only a small deficit throughout the game, the Titans surprisingly abandoned the run in the second half, limiting Henry's workload. He made up for that with a few big plays, the longest of which came on a 46-yard gain on a screen pass late in the second quarter, ultimately setting up a field goal. Though his production came in an unexpected way, Henry put together a fine performance and should be more involved in Week 2 against the Chargers.
Jun 7, 2023
Absorbing new offense
Henry, who has spent more time in Nashville this offseason compared to previous years, has been been in town for all six of the Titans' voluntary OTAs, including Tuesday's minicamp, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The Titans' clear-cut top back noted that his increased offseason presence stems from wanting to get up to speed with the team's new offense under coordinator Tim Kelly. "It's a completely new offense, and I'm just coming in here trying to learn everything, and get used to the terminology," Henry noted, while adding "(I wanted) to try and get on it as early as I can and learn (the offense)" and "get some reps in so when I get back, I'll be ready to go in camp." Per Wyatt, the 29-year-old, who logged 349 carries in 16 games in 2022, "looks to be in great shape" at this stage of the offseason, while also looking "smooth running and catching the ball." As the coming season approaches, Henry is poised to maintain his high-volume role in Tennessee's offense, while 2023 third-rounder Tyjae Spears and 2022 fourth-rounder Hassan Haskins are in line to compete for complementary snaps in the team's backfield.
Jan 7, 2023
Tops 100 yards in loss
Henry rushed the ball 30 times for 109 yards in Saturday's 20-16 loss to the Jaguars. He added one reception for 19 yards.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Henry was the focal point of the Tennessee offense, and he tallied his highest carry total since Week 8. He wasn't particularly efficient, but he helped the Titans maintain a lead for the majority of the game. Henry also topped 100 rushing yards for the fourth consecutive contest, which brought his yardage total on the campaign to 1,538. Also important for fantasy purposes, Henry racked up a career-high 33 receptions across 16 games. He'll return to Tennessee in 2023 and is likely to remain the driving force behind the offense.
Jan 3, 2023
Full practice Tuesday
Henry (hip) practiced fully Tuesday, John Glennon of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to sitting out last Thursday versus the Cowboys, Henry managed two limited sessions due to hip injury. With a full practice under is belt to start Week 18 prep, he's now in line to reclaim his role as the Titans' unquestioned top running back ahead of Saturday's scheduled 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff. For the season, that's amounted to 23.4 touches for 120.5 yards from scrimmage per game and 13 rushing TDs in 15 appearances.
Jan 3, 2023
Practicing Tuesday
Henry (hip) participated in practice Tuesday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry was held out last Thursday against the Cowboys due to a hip issue that capped him to two limited sessions. As the Titans resume preparation for Saturday's scheduled 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff, the running back was spotted working through drills with team trainers, according to Davenport. Ultimately, Henry's activity level will be revealed later Tuesday.
Dec 29, 2022
Inactive Thursday
Henry (hip) is inactive for Thursday night's game against the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Henry, who the Titans listed as a limited practice participant Tuesday and Wednesday, approached the contest listed as doubtful, so it's not a surprise that he'll sit this one out and focus on being ready for the team's AFC South title showdown against the Jaguars in Week 18. In his absence versus Dallas, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site relays that Hassan Haskins figures to get the bulk of Tennessee's backfield work Thursday, with Julius Chestnut mixing in. Additionally, Jonathan Ward is up from the practice squad to provide further RB depth.
Dec 29, 2022
Not expected to play Thursday
Henry (hip), who is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the Cowboys, is not expected to suit up, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry is listed as doubtful despite coming off back-to-back limited practices, and it appears that Hassan Haskins and Julius Chestnut will be tasked with leading Tennessee's backfield versus Dallas' stout defensive front. The outcome of Thursday's contest won't impact the Titans' chances of attaining the AFC South crown, so Henry's focus may well simply be making sure he's at 100 percent form for Week 18's pivotal divisional matchup against the Jaguars. Official word on Henry's status will come prior to Thursday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.
Dec 28, 2022
Doubtful for Thursday's game
Henry (hip) is listed as doubtful for Thursday night's game against the Cowboys, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Given that Henry is listed as doubtful, look for Hassan Haskins and Julius Chestnut to see added backfield snaps versus Dallas, while Jonathan Ward is a candidate to be elevated from the team's practice squad. With Henry unlikely to play Thursday, the Titans' top back will presumably turn his focus to preparing for the team's key divisional showdown with the Jaguars in Week 18.
Dec 27, 2022
Turns in limited practice
The Titans listed Henry (hip) as a limited participant at Tuesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Though Henry is nursing what's believed to be a minor hip issue coming out of Saturday's 19-14 loss to the Texans, the running back suggested Tuesday that he thinks he'll be available for Thursday's game against the Cowboys. More specifically, Henry told Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site, that "whatever I got to do, whatever coach needs me to do, I'm ready to do," when asked about his chances of playing Week 17. While head coach Mike Vrabel hasn't indicated that he plans to hold Henry out or limited the running back's snaps and touches Week 17, the Titans would need ample help to claim a wild-card spot even with a win Thursday. At the same time, a loss Thursday wouldn't affect the Titans' bid for the AFC South crown, as Tennessee is playing what amounts to a win-or-go-home game Week 18 in Jacksonville to decide the division champion between the two teams. With that in mind, fantasy managers may want to keep an eye out for reports regarding Henry's potential role for Thursday night, even if he approaches
Dec 26, 2022
DNP on practice estimate
Henry (hip) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The Titans held a walk-through Monday, but Henry's appearance on the team's first injury report of the week due to a listed hip issue nonetheless makes the running back's status worth monitoring as Thursday night's game against the Cowboys approaches. In this past Saturday's 19-14 loss to the Texans, Henry logged a 74 percent snap share en route to carrying 23 times for 126 yards and a touchdown, while top backup Hassan Haskins was out there for 15 snaps, catching both of his targets for 17 yards and recording zero rushing attempts.
Dec 24, 2022
Tops 100 yards, loses key fumble
Henry rushed the ball 23 times for 126 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 19-14 loss to the Texans. He also recorded two receptions for zero yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry entered the game having rushed for more than 200 yards in each of his last four games against the Texans. He appeared to be in line for a fifth consecutive massive performance when he ripped off a 48-yard touchdown run midway through the first quarter. However, he managed only two additional runs of more than 10 yards for the rest of the game, which led to a strong but unspectacular performance. Henry also lost a fumble early in the fourth quarter, which led to a field goal for Houston. Despite the mistake, Henry has now topped 100 rushing yards and scored a touchdown in three consecutive contests.
Dec 18, 2022
Tops century mark in loss
Henry carried the ball 21 times for 104 yards and a touchdown and caught all four of his targets for 59 yards in Sunday's 17-14 loss to the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
The running back led the Titans in both rushing yards and receiving yards but didn't get much help from the rest of his offense. Henry racked up his second straight 100-yard game and his seventh of the season, but he continues to look up at the Raiders' Josh Jacobs for the NFL rushing crown. However, Henry could close the gap significantly in Week 16 against a Texans defense he's torched for more than 200 rushing yards each of the last four times he's faced it.
Dec 11, 2022
Excels in loss
Henry rushed the ball 17 times for 121 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 36-22 loss to the Jaguars. He added three receptions on five targets for 34 yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry looked to be taking over the game early, as he managed 82 rushing yards and a touchdown through the Titans' first three drives. Needless to say, he slowed considerably from there and also had a key fumble late in the second quarter that arguably changed the trajectory of the game. Despite that crucial mistake, Henry managed his first 100-yard rushing performance since Week 9 and his first rushing score since Week 11.
Dec 4, 2022
Limited by game script
Henry rushed the ball 11 times for 30 yards in Sunday's 35-10 loss to the Eagles. He added two receptions for eight yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry saw seven of his 11 rushes in the first half, as the Titans were down multiple scores for the entirety of the last two quarters. He was limited to a season-low in carries as a result and was held to under 40 rushing yards for the second consecutive game. Henry has also failed to reach the end zone in three of his last four contests, which, combined with his lack of involvement as a pass catcher, has highlighted his relatively fragile floor.
Nov 28, 2022
Contained in Week 12 loss
Henry rushed 17 times for 38 yards and caught all three of his targets for 79 yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Keeping Henry in check on the ground was key to Cincinnati's success in this one, as the star running back mustered his lowest rushing yardage total since Week 2. He made up for the lackluster rushing game by leading the Titans in receiving yards. Most of Henry's yardage came on a 69-catch in the second quarter. He actually fumbled at the end of the play, but teammate Traylon Burks recovered it in the end zone for the game's first touchdown. Up next for Henry and the Titans will be a Week 13 trip to Philadelphia.
Nov 17, 2022
Hefty workload in win
Henry rushed 28 times for 87 yards and a touchdown, brought in both targets for 45 yards and completed two pass attempts for four yards and a touchdown in the Titans' 27-17 win over the Packers on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Dontrell Hilliard was the only other back to register a carry for the Titans on the night, and he logged exactly one rush attempt. That equated to a particularly busy night for Henry, who'd logged just a combined 36 carries in the previous pair of games. Henry also made impressive contributions through the air as both a passer and receiver, throwing a three-yard jump touchdown pass to Austin Hooper just past the halfway point of the third quarter and recording a 42-yard reception as well. Henry crossed the 1,000-yard mark on the ground for the fourth time in the last five seasons with Thursday's effort, and his next chance to build on his already impressive numbers comes in a Week 12 home battle against the Bengals a week from Sunday.
Nov 13, 2022
Held to 67 total yards
Henry rushed the ball 19 times for 53 yards in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Broncos. He added two receptions on three targets for 14 yards.
ANALYSIS
As has been the case all season, Henry remained the focal point of the Tennessee offense. However, he was held under 80 rushing yards for only the second time, and he failed to reach 20 carries for only the third time on the campaign. While typically very efficient, Henry averaged only 2.8 yards per carry and he managed only one rush that went for 10 yards or more. While Henry was shut down in a tough matchup Sunday, he should be in a great position to produce in a Week 11 matchup against a soft Packers run defense.

Two more scores in monster game
Henry rushed 17 times for 115 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 20-17 overtime loss to the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Henry was not targeted in the passing game, but fantasy managers won't complain after another huge multi-score performance on the ground. The bruising back continues to thrive despite having no passing game (53 passing yards) to help alleviate the opposition's defensive focus. The 28-year-old boasts a robust 183/870/9 rushing line through eight games, making the premature worries about his slow start to the season feel like a distant memory. Henry will lead the Titans' offensive attack in a home matchup against the Broncos next Sunday.

Clear for Week 9
Henry (rest) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game at Kansas City, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry kicked off the week with no on-field work Wednesday due to a foot issue, while his absence one day later was related to rest. After a full practice Friday, though, the Titans' top running back is good to go for Week 9 action. Henry could find the going tough versus the Chiefs' third-ranked run defense (92 yards per game).
Nov 3, 2022
Gets a rest day Thursday
Henry's absence from practice Thursday was rest-related, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry was listed as a limited participant Wednesday due to a foot issue, but Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site previously relayed that the running back indicated Thursday that his "foot is fine" and that he'd "be out there on Sunday playing" against Kansas City. Assuming no setbacks, look for Henry to head into the weekend minus a Week 9 injury designation.
Nov 3, 2022
Not spotted at practice
Henry (foot) was among the players not spotted during the open portion of Thursday's practice, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
We'll circle back to relay the running back's official participation level Thursday, but it's worth noting that after being limited Wednesday, Henry downplayed his current listed injury issue, indicating that his foot is "fine" as Sunday's game against the Chiefs approaches.
Nov 2, 2022
Logs limited practice
Henry (foot) was limited at practice Wednesday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
In this past weekend's 17-10 win over the Texans, Henry was on the field for 43 snaps on offense, while carrying the ball 32 times for 219 yards and two TDs and catching his only target for nine yards. With no reported setbacks in the contest, it's possible that Henry's listed limitations Wednesday were maintenance-related. That said, given that a foot injury derailed the running back's 2021 campaign, his status is now worth tracking ahead of Sunday night's game against Kansas City.
Oct 30, 2022
Historic performance against Texans
Henry carried the ball 32 times for 219 yards and two touchdowns and caught his only target for nine yards in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
No running back in NFL history has dominated a single opponent the way Henry has dominated Houston. In each of Tennessee's last four meetings with their AFC South rivals, the 28-year-old power back has run for at least 200 yards, and he's the first RB in history to run for 150-plus yards and two TDs in four straight games against the same opponent. Henry also became the third back in league history to have six career 200-yard rushing performances, joining O.J. Simpson and Adrian Peterson in a very exclusive club. The Titans star has also reached triple-digit rushing yards in four straight games this season, a streak he'll look to extend in Week 9 against Kansas City.
Oct 23, 2022
Another solid rushing performance
Henry rushed the ball 30 times for 128 yards in Sunday's 19-10 win over the Colts. He added three receptions for 10 yards.
ANALYSIS
The Titans followed a familiar game script, as they took a lead against the Colts and used Henry to run out the clock in the final two quarters. As a result, he reached the 30-carry threshold for the first time this season and surpassed 100 yards for the third consecutive game. Also of note was Henry's ability to pick up chunk gains, as his longest rushes of the day went for 23 and 21 yards -- doubling his number of carries that have gone for 20 or more yards on the season.
Oct 9, 2022
Scores twice, tops 100 yards
Henry rushed the ball 28 times for 102 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 21-17 win over the Commanders. He added two receptions for 30 yards.
ANALYSIS
As usual, Henry was the driving force behind the Tennessee offense, accounting for two of the team's three touchdowns. Both came on one-yard rushes, but he also had two carries that went for more than 10 yards while adding in a 24-yard reception. Henry now has three consecutive games with over 100 total yards and at least one touchdown -- already putting him in midseason form.
Oct 2, 2022
Racks up another 147 yards
Henry carried the ball 22 times for 114 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Colts. He added three receptions for 33 yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry had a tremendous first half, posting 99 rushing yards on 14 carries. The highlight came on a 19-yard rushing touchdown, but he also chipped in three carries that went for more than 10 yards. While his production slowed in the second half, Henry topped 100 rushing yards for the first time this season. Notably, he also has eight receptions combined across his last two games.
Sep 25, 2022
Tallies 143 total yards
Henry rushed the ball 20 times for 85 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-22 win over the Raiders. He added five receptions on six targets for 58 yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry did the majority of his damage early, as he tallied 106 total yards prior to halftime and also plunged in for a one-yard touchdown early in the second quarter. Though he was bottled up in the second half, Henry's performance was encouraging as he topped 100 rushing yards for the first time this season. Perhaps most notable of all was Henry's involvement as a receiver, a skill he showcased early in the 2021 season prior to going down with a foot injury. After a slow start to the campaign, Henry appears to be back on track heading into a Week 4 showdown at the Colts.
Sep 19, 2022
Quiet night besides early TD
Henry rushed 13 times for 25 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 41-7 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Henry rumbled in for a two-yard touchdown on fourth down to cap Tennessee's first drive but was bottled up for the rest of the night as the Titans were outplayed in every facet of the game. Through two games, Henry has averaged just 3.1 yards per carry, as opponents are stacking the box and Tennessee's passing game is failing to make them pay. Henry should find more running room in Week 3 against the Raiders, but the Titans' inability to replace AJ Brown's production through the air has clearly bled into Henry's production on the ground.
Sep 11, 2022
Tops 80 yards in Sunday's loss
Henry carried the ball 21 times for 82 yards in Sunday's 21-20 loss to the Giants. He failed to catch his only target.
ANALYSIS
The game mostly went according to script for Henry, who softened up the defense in the first half before beginning to see some bigger gains later in the afternoon, but his longest run went for only 18 yards and and he didn't get into the end zone. The bruising back may not have proved he's all the way back from last year's foot injury, but he'll likely need to be more productive in a Monday night clash with the explosive Bills in Week 2.

Contract re-worked
The Titans have reportedly re-worked Henry's contract to give the running back a $2 million raise this coming season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network notes.
ANALYSIS
Per the report, Henry is now slated to earn $14 million this coming season, while 2023 remains the final year of his contract with the Titans. As Week 1 approaches, the 28-year-old -- who is bouncing back from a foot injury that limited him to eight regular-season games in 2021 -- is firmly entrenched as the Titans' lead back. In that capacity, Henry is in line to log a steady workload this coming season, barring any injury setbacks, with Dontrell Hilliard, Hassan Haskins and Julius Chestnut on hand to work as complementary options in Tennessee's backfield.
Jul 26, 2022
Preseason action unlikely
Coach Mike Vrabel doesn't anticipate Henry participating in any preseason games, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
That's not much of a surprise, with Henry bouncing back from a foot injury that limited him to eight regular season games in 2021 and firmly entrenched as the Titans' lead back. On the plus side, the 28-year-old has indicated that he's past his foot issue, but there's little incentive for the team's coaching staff to expose Henry to unnecessary injury risk ahead of Week 1. Meanwhile, with D'Onta Foreman having signed with the Panthers this offseason, Hassan Haskins and Dontrell Hilliard are currently in line to compete for complementary touches behind Henry, who's destined to maintain a high volume of carries for Tennessee when healthy.
Jul 5, 2022
Top backup TBD
With D'Onta Foreman having signed with the Panthers, Hassan Haskins and Dontrell Hilliard are in line to compete for RB touches behind Henry, who remains the Titans' clear-cut top back, Mike Moraitis of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
When healthy, Henry -- who was limited to eight regular season games in 2021 -- is destined to see the bulk of Tennessee's carries, a context that probably won't lead to regular volume for his backups. That said, if the Titans are inclined to lessen his workload at all, or if the 28-year-old (who has indicated that he's past his right foot issue) misses time for any reason, Henry's understudies would see an uptick in fantasy value. Unless the team adds another back in advance of Week 1, Haskins (a 2022 fourth-rounder) has a chance to be the next man up, though Hilliard -- who held his own last season while Henry was out -- could factor in as well. Also currently in the team's backfield mix looking to secure depth roles are Trenton Cannon, Jordan Wilkins and Julius Chestnut.

Held in check
Henry (foot) rushed the ball 20 times for 62 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 19-16 divisional-round loss to the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Henry was active for the first time since Week 8, and he immediately returned to play a central role in the Titans' offense. However, he was largely held in check by Cincinnati, as his longest rush went for only nine yards and he averaged only 3.1 yards per carry. He did manage to tally the first touchdown of the game, plunging into the end zone from three yards away midway through the second quarter. While Henry may have experienced limited explosiveness in his return from a lengthy absence, his presence on the field is an encouraging sign that he'll be healthy enough to retain a workhorse role in 2022.
Jan 22, 2022
Set to face Bengals
Henry (foot), who was activated from IR on Friday, is expected to start Saturday's playoff game against the Bengals, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
ANALYSIS
The report notes that the running back, who is bouncing back from surgery that involved having a steel plate inserted into his foot, is also on track to play Saturday with a protective metal plate (described as a modified orthotic) in his shoe. Though Henry, who hasn't seen game action since Oct. 31, isn't expected to be on a snap count in his return to action per Rapoport, he will be monitored by the team, presumably with game flow and how he does with his carries early on likely to dictate his workload. D'Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard -- who had been filling in for Henry of late -- are available to handle complementary/change-of-pace touches in order to take some of the load off Tennessee's star back.
Jan 21, 2022
Activated from injured reserve
Henry (foot) has been activated from IR ahead of Saturday's playoff game against the Bengals, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The move sets the stage for Henry - who last suited up for game action on Oct. 31 -- to return to the lineup for Saturday's divisional-round contest versus Cincinnati. Considering the lengthy layoff, it remains to be seen how much work Henry will log, but ESPN's Turron Davenport indicated that the star back -- who practiced this past week without any setbacks -- is expected to start when Tennessee's offense takes the field. Game flow and how Henry fares with his carries early on figure to dictate his workload, with D'Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard available to handle complementary/change-of-pace touches.
Jan 21, 2022
Expected to come off IR
The Titans plan to activate Henry (foot) from IR in advance of Saturday's divisional-round playoff game against the Bengals, Turron Davenport of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
A transaction to confirm such an outcome is slated to arrive later Friday. Per Davenport, Henry is expected to start when Tennessee's offense takes the field Saturday, however in such a scenario how much he'd be in line to see in his first game action since Week 8 remains to be seen. With that in mind, it's plausible that D'Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard -- who have been filling in for Henry of late -- will continue to be involved in the team's ground game versus Cincinnati, as Henry works his way back into mix.
Jan 20, 2022
Increasing practice workload
Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said Thursday that Henry (foot) has been taking more reps in each successive practice since the Titans designated him for return from injured reserve Tuesday, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Vrabel wouldn't tip his hand regarding if Henry will be available for Saturday's divisional-round game against the Bengals, as the Titans plan to reassess the running back Friday before deciding on his status. Tennessee will have to submit roster moves for its postseason opener no later than 4 p.m. ET on Friday, so more clarity on Henry's availability (or lack thereof) should become clear at that point. If the Titans elect to hold Henry out this weekend, D'Onta Foreman would be in line to serve as Tennessee's lead option on the ground, as was the case for much of the second half of the regular season.
Jan 19, 2022
Takes contact without setbacks
Henry (foot) responded well to contact Tuesday and will now continue practicing throughout the rest of the week, with the Titans likely waiting until Friday to decide on his availability for Saturday's game against Cincinnati, ESPN's Turron Davenport reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry's media availability Wednesday might be taken as another sign he's headed in the right direction, especially after the running back said Wednesday that his surgically repaired foot doesn't feel any different than it did pre-injury, despite having a steel plate inserted a couple months ago. He'll still need to make it through a couple more practices without setbacks, and he may not quite be in peak condition after the long lay-off, but Henry should have a big role if he plays. To that end, neither player nor team provided much hint on workload expectations for Saturday, with OC Todd Downing merely saying Henry would be "monitored in the game" if he's "given the green light," per Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site.
Jan 18, 2022
Practicing, taking contact
Henry (foot) is practicing Tuesday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
He's in pads, taking contact and appears to be running full speed, but that doesn't necessarily make him a lock for Saturday's game against Cincinnati, with coach Mike Vrabel cautioning earlier Tuesday that the Titans would need to see Henry practice throughout the week before making a decision. Given that he's still on IR, albeit with a designation to return, Henry won't be listed on the daily practice reports. He last played Week 8, shortly before getting foot surgery at the start of November,
Jan 8, 2022
Not activated for Week 18
Henry (foot) remains on IR ahead of Sunday's game against the Texans, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
With Henry -- who last suited up in Week 8 -- not moved to the active roster Saturday, the star running back will target a potential return to the lineup in the Titans' postseason opener. In his continued absence, D'Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard will head the team's rushing attack in Week 18, with Jordan Wilkins on hand in reserve.
Jan 7, 2022
Decision pending for Sunday
The Titans have until 4 p.m. ET on Saturday to activate Henry (foot) from injured reserve and make him available for Sunday's game at Houston, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry has been on the reserve list since breaking a bone in his right foot on Oct. 31 that required surgery. The Titans designated the running back for return from IR only Wednesday, opening a 21-day window to evaluate him at practice. Speaking to the media Friday, coach Mike Vrabel said the team has "some time to make that decision," but after back-to-back sessions at their indoor facility, they'll "see where he is at" Saturday to get a sense of where Henry stands in his recovery. Before Henry returned to drills, Dianna Russini of ESPN reported there's a chance he's cleared to play this Sunday, but it's also a long shot. In the end, Henry is more likely to get back on the active roster at some point in the playoffs.
Jan 5, 2022
Designated to return
Henry (foot) has been designated to return from IR by the Titans.
ANALYSIS
The move paves the way for the star running back to return to practice and opens up a 21-day window for Henry to resume on-field work with the team, while not counting against the Titans' 53-man roster until he is officially activated from IR. Henry last suited up on Oct. 31 game vs the Colts.
Jan 4, 2022
Set to resume practicing Wednesday
Henry (foot) is expected to participate in practice Wednesday, though he's viewed as a "long shot" to be activated from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's regular-season finale in Houston, Dianna Russini of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Before Henry is eligible to mix into drills with his healthy teammates, the Titans must first designate him for return from IR, a transaction that will open a 21-day window for the team to evaluate him for a spot on the 53-man roster. Henry's impending return to practice was foreshadowed Monday, when he took part in individual drills after he was previously seen jogging around in cleats a week before. Given that he hasn't played since late October after fracturing a bone in his right foot and undergoing surgery, Henry will likely need some time to get his conditioning in order. Moreover, since the heavily-favored Titans are in good shape to secure a first-round bye in the playoffs with a win over the 4-12 Texans, the team likely won't push Henry to return at less than 100 percent for the regular-season finale. Ideally though, Henry will be back to full speed or close to it for the start of the playoffs, giving a major boost to a Titans squad that has managed to stay afloat atop the AFC South while the league'

Participating in individual drills
Henry (foot) will participate in individual drills Monday, Joe Rexrode of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry underwent surgery to address a broken fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot at the beginning of November. Coach Mike Vrabel said Monday that the team doesn't have plans for Henry to suit up for Sunday's Week 18 matchup against the Texans, but the team will decide sometime this week whether to designate the running back to return from injured reserve. Although it doesn't appear as though the 27-year-old will be able to return during the regular season, he'll likely have a chance to return in the playoffs.
Dec 12, 2021
Could be back Week 18
The Titans anticipate Henry (foot) will ready to return from injured reserve as early as the team's Week 18 matchup with the Texans, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry has been sidelined since undergoing surgery Nov. 1 to address a broken fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot after he picked up the injury a day earlier in the Titans' Week 8 win over the Colts. Initial estimates followed surgery placed Henry's recovery time at 6-to-10 weeks, and though Rapoport reports that rehab has gone well over the past month and a half, the reigning NFL rushing champion still looks to be trending toward the longer end of that timeline. Tennessee has gone 2-2 in the absence of their top back to stay atop the AFC South with an 8-4 record, and the expectation is that Henry will be feeling fresh and ready to go ahead of a potential playoff run. In the meantime, the Titans are expected to rely on a committee of D'Onta Foreman, Jeremy McNichols and Dontrell Hilliard out of the backfield for at least their next four games.
Nov 18, 2021
Early January return possible
There is reportedly optimism that Henry, who is bouncing back from foot surgery, could be back in early January if all goes well, according to ESPN's Dianna Russini.
ANALYSIS
The Titans play on Jan. 2 in Week 17 and close out their regular-season schedule a week later, so counting on the star running back to make a regular-season fantasy impact remains a speculative proposition. However, with Tennessee heading into Week 11 with an 8-2 record, this news is very relevant to the team's postseason prospects. For now, Henry remains on IR, with D'Onta Foreman, Adrian Peterson and Jeremy McNichols(concussion) handling backfield duties in the meantime.
Nov 7, 2021
May not return this season
While the Titans still hope that Henry, who underwent foot surgery last week, could return at some point this season, Adam Schefter of ESPN relays that a source indicated it "would be very surprising if (the running back) made it back this season."
ANALYSIS
Either way, Henry is out indefinitely and in his absence, the Titans will proceed with a backfield committee that currently includes Adrian Peterson, Jeremy McNichols and D'Onta Foreman. Henry injured his right foot last Sunday against the Colts and was placed on IR on Monday.
Nov 1, 2021
Officially on IR
Henry (foot) has been placed on IR by the Titans, per the NFL's official transaction wire.
ANALYSIS
This was an expected move, with Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site having previously noted that the running back is slated to undergo foot surgery Tuesday. Though coach Mike Vrabel didn't offer a timetable for Henry's recovery, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network has suggested that Henry is expected to miss 6-10 weeks. In the meantime, Jeremy McNichols, Dontrell Hilliard and practice-squad member Mekhi Sargent are internal options to see added backfield work, while veteran RB Adrian Peterson is reportedly in line to be added to Tennessee's practice squad, with the expectation he will be promoted to the team's active roster.
Nov 1, 2021
Expected to miss 6-10 weeks
Henry, who is slated to undergo foot surgery Tuesday morning, is expected to be out 6-10 weeks, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site, coach Mike Vrabel declined to put a timeline on Henry's recovery, but it's safe to say that the star running back is out indefinitely. The estimate put forth by Rapoport indicates that Henry has a chance to return before the end of the season, but for now Tennessee will need to find a way to fill the void created by the looming absence of their top player. Jeremy McNichols and Dontrell Hilliard are currently the team's top in-house options, but we'd expect backfield depth to be added by the franchise in short order.
Nov 1, 2021
Slated for surgery
Henry (foot) will undergo surgery Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry broke his fifth metatarsal bone during Sunday's overtime win over the Colts. While coach Mike Vrabel said Monday that the 27-year-old doesn't yet have a timetable for his return, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the running back could miss the remainder of the season. Jeremy McNichols is in line for an expanded role in Henry's absence, while the Titans will reportedly host Adrian Peterson for a tryout this week.
Nov 1, 2021
Has broken bone in foot
Henry (foot) broke his fifth metatarsal bone during Sunday's 34-31 overtime win over the Colts, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
The Titans are still waiting on the results of an MRI to verify the severity of Henry's injury, but Adam Schefter of ESPN suggests that the damage could potentially be season-ending. As Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports, Henry actually managed to return to Sunday's contest after suffering the injury, ultimately taking 28 carries for just 68 yards, but after the game he had to be carted around in the stadium. Behind Henry, Jeremy McNichols has handled the No. 2 gig and a passing-down role for Tennessee this season.
Nov 1, 2021
Injures foot, may be severe
Henry suffered a potentially serious foot injury and is scheduled for an MRI on Monday to determine the full extent of the damage, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry took 28 carries for 68 yards in Sunday's 34-31 overtime win over the Colts, but Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports that the running back was being carted around inside the stadium after the game. Adam Schefter's report refers to the foot injury as "potentially season-ending", albeit with the disclaimer that an MRI is still needed for a proper diagnosis. Jeremy McNichols has operated as Henry's backup and passing-down replacement this year, while 2020 third-round pick Darrynton Evans (IR/knee) is out for the season after being placed on injured reserve for a second time.
Oct 31, 2021
Rare dud in overtime win
Henry rushed rushed 28 times for just 68 yards and did not receive a target in Sunday's 34-31 overtime win over the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Henry couldn't get anything rolling against the Colts, which helps explain how Tennessee fell behind 14-0 in the first quarter. The bruising back did appear to get some medical attention on his right foot towards the end of the second half, but he promptly returned to the field and there were no reports of an injury after the game, so his managers appeared to have dodged a dangerous bullet. Henry will look to get back on track in an inter-conference powerhouse showdown against the Rams next Sunday.
Oct 24, 2021
Slowed in win
Henry recorded 29 rushes for 86 yards in Sunday's 27-3 win over the Chiefs. He added two receptions for 16 yards and also threw a five-yard touchdown.
ANALYSIS
Henry was in a surprisingly beneficial game script, but he couldn't record his sixth consecutive effort of over 100 rushing yards. He was limited to only two gains of more than 10 yards and averaged only 3.0 yards per carry. Henry did manage the first passing touchdown of his career when he lobbed a pass into the back of the end zone to MyCole Pruitt to salvage his performance. Despite a down effort, Henry should be in line for another heavy workload in a Week 8 matchup against the Colts.
Oct 18, 2021
Beast in Monday night's win
Henry rushed 20 times for 143 yards and three touchdowns in Monday night's 34-31 win over the Bills. He also caught two of three targets for 13 yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry exploded 76 yards up the middle for the first touchdown of the game, then powered in with a pair of red-zone rushing scores in the second half, including the game-winner with just over three minutes remaining. In doing so, Henry found the end zone three times for the second straight game, and he's now remarkably accomplished that feat three times through six contests this season. With five consecutive outings of at least 110 yards on the ground as well, Henry is off to a monstrous start to the campaign. He'll strive to keep his substantial momentum going in Week 7 versus the Chiefs.
Oct 10, 2021
Three-touchdown effort
Henry ran for 130 yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries against Jacksonville on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Henry didn't get any chances as a pass catcher due to Tennessee throwing just 21 targeted passes, but his fantasy investors will always accept that tradeoff if it comes with 31 fantasy points on the ground alone. This game marks the fourth in row in which Henry breezed past triple-digit yardage on the ground, and there's a chance he gets more pass-catching opportunities when the Titans take on the Bills in Week 6.
Oct 3, 2021
Posts 177 total yards
Henry recorded 33 rushes for 157 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 4 loss to the Jets. He added two receptions for 20 yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry topped 35 total touches for the second time in four games this season, aided by both overtime and the lack of a an efficient passing attack for the Titans. He ripped off big gains both as a rusher and receiver, logging three rushes and one reception of more than 15 yards. Henry also scored his fourth touchdown of the season, plowing his way into the end zone early in the fourth quarter from one-yard out. On the campaign, Henry has topped 100 rushing yards in three consecutive games and has also tallied multiple receptions in every game contest.
Sep 26, 2021
Another 30-touch victory
Henry rushed 28 times for 113 yards and caught all three of his targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 25-16 win over the Colts. He also ran in a two-point conversion.
ANALYSIS
Henry picked up where he left off in the second half of last Sunday's win, garnering 10 touches in the first quarter alone. With the workhorse remaining his physical, productive self, Henry again got the ball over 30 times, helping Tennessee's offense compensate for the early exit of top wideout A.J. Brown (hamstring). Although Henry only found the end-zone on his two-point conversion, he nonetheless was the focal point of a second-straight victory, and next Sunday's matchup against the Jets could make for a huge outing from the NFL's defending rushing champ.
Sep 19, 2021
Rumbles over Seahawks
Henry carried the ball 35 times for 182 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's Week 2 win over the Seahawks. He added six receptions for 55 yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry appeared to be in for another disappointing game to open the season, as he had only 35 yards on 13 carries through two quarters. However, he keyed a comeback effort for the Titans in the second half by finding the end zone from 60, nine and one yards away. While hardly the highlight of his box score, Henry also tied for the team lead in receptions. His work in the passing game has always been a shortcoming, making it possible that his role in the offense only increases if he can maintain this role as a pass-catcher.
Sep 12, 2021
Sluggish start to season
Henry ran for 58 yards on 17 carries while catching three receptions for 19 yards on four targets against Arizona on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Henry couldn't find any room to run in a 38-13 loss where the Tennessee offense completely imploded. Perhaps it's more a credit to the Cardinals defense than a sign of concern for the Titans, but it was still a dud showing in what should have been a favorable, high-scoring scenario for the Titans. It wasn't just Henry -- Ryan Tannehill and the Tennessee passing game couldn't get started either. They have the player talent to bounce back with a vengeance going forward, but a road matchup with Seattle won't exactly be welcoming in Week 2.

No preseason action
Henry didn't play in Saturday's preseason loss to the Bears, according to Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com.
ANALYSIS
Henry emerged from exhibition season with no snaps on his odometer as he readies for yet another massive workload in the coming campaign. Over the last two years, he's totaled 718 touches in 31 appearances en route to 3,887 yards from scrimmage and 35 touchdowns.

Chance to play in preseason Week 3
Henry may see snaps during Saturday's preseason finale against the Bears, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Coach Mike Vrabel said during Sunday's media availability that the Titans will move from the varied training camp schedule to a more rigid regular-season one, in essence to get a test run before Week 1. That could mean the likes of Henry, A.J. Brown and Ryan Tannehill get in-game reps before the regular season, but Vrabel might not make his decision known until closer to Saturday's 7:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Not expected to play Saturday
Henry is suited up but is not expected to play in Saturday's preseason game against Tampa Bay, TennesseeTitans.com's Jim Wyatt reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry of course has nothing to prove, so the Titans would be served better by handing reps to his backup candidates than Henry himself. Brian Hill, Jeremy McNichols and Mekhi Sargent are fighting for the spot behind Henry and Darrynton Evans (knee).

Gives way to Evans on Friday
Jim Wyatt of the Titans official site suggests that the team "won't add any wear and tear" on Henry's body in Friday's preseason opener against the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Given the amount of carries Henry has racked up over the last couple of seasons, it makes sense to limit his exposure to contact in exhibition games. With Henry likely to see little to no action Friday, Darrynton Evans is in line to draw the the start at running back versus Atlanta, while Brian Hill, Jeremy McNichols and Mekhi Sargent are all candidates to get touches as the contest progresses.

Set up for success in Tennessee
Henry should have a strong offensive line blocking for him this season, Ben Arthur of The Nashville Tennessean reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry typically has run behind impressive O-lines in Tennessee, but the unit wasn't quite up to its usual standard last season, as LT Taylor Lewan suffered an ACL tear in October and first-round pick Isaiah Wilson played just four snaps. The Titans have since parted ways with Wilson and starting right tackle Dennis Kelly, but they acquired two potential replacements in veteran Kendall Lamm and rookie second-round pick Dillon Radunz. With Lewan on track for Week 1 and WR Julio Jones giving the receiving corps a boost, Henry could end up playing in the most talented offense of his pro career.

Bottled up by Ravens
Henry carried the ball 18 times for 40 yards in the team's wild card round loss to the Ravens. He added three receptions for 11 yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry ran over the Ravens' in the team's divisional-round matchup last postseason, racking up 195 rushing yards. However, this season's matchup was a different story as Henry was limited to 51 total yards, with his longest gain of the day going for just eight yards. It was a sour close to the season after a dominant regular season campaign for Henry during which he racked up over 2,000 yards on the ground. As some consolation, Henry will remain under contract with the Titans in 2021, giving him another chance to contribute to a playoff run.

Reaches 2,000 yards
Henry carried the ball 34 times for 250 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 41-38 win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
With yet another massive performance against Houston, Henry became the eighth back in history to run for 2,000 yards in a season, with his 2,027 settling in as the fifth-highest mark ever. He also locked up his second straight rushing title in the process, and set a new career high with 17 rushing TDs. Henry will remain the key to the Titans' offense as they prepare to host the Ravens next Sunday in the wild-card round.

98 yards in blowout loss
Henry rushed 23 times for 98 yards in Sunday's 40-14 loss to the Packers. He was not targeted in the passing game.
ANALYSIS
Henry was held in check by Green Bay's defense, never allowing the league's leading rusher to break off one of those signature big rambles down the field (game high of 10 yards). The fact that 98 yards and a 4.3 yards per carry mark is considered a "down game" is just a testament to how dominant the physically-imposing back has been this season. In fact, Henry's managers should be pleased that the runner still received 23 carries in a blowout loss. That commitment to the run offers game script protection for Henry, which is especially valuable for a player that isn't really involved in the passing game. Look for Henry to finish the regular season on a high note when he takes on the Texans on Sunday, who he ran all over in their first meeting this year to the tune of 212 yards and two scores.
Dec 20, 2020
Tops 150 total yards
Henry rushed the ball 24 times for 147 yards and a touchdown in Week 15 against the Lions. He added two receptions for five yards as a receiver.
ANALYSIS
The Titans offense moved up and down the field at will, and Henry played a big role in that effort as has come to be expected. He capped the team's first offensive possession with a three-yard touchdown plunge. From there, Henry continuously gained chunks of yardage, 10 of his 24 rushing attempts going for more than five yards. Overall, he has topped 130 rushing yards on the ground in four of his list five contests. Henry will look to continue his tremendous production in Week 16 against the Packers.
Dec 18, 2020
Cleared to play
Henry (not injury-related) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's home game against the Lions after practicing fully Friday,Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry was added to the Titans' practice/injury report after logging a limited session Thursday, but he was a full-go Friday. That paves the way for the fantasy-friendly back, who's coming off a huge game in his team's Week 14 win over the Jaguars, to continue to head Tennessee's backfield Sunday against a beatable Detroit run defense that has allowed an average of 132.8 rushing yards per game to date.
Dec 17, 2020
Limited Thursday
Henry was added to the Titans' practice/injury report after logging a limited session Thursday due to a not injury-related reason, John Glennon of BroadwaySportsMedia.com reports.
ANALYSIS
While this could be something routine, given the uniqueness of the current season, it's worth checking back on Henry's status Friday to see if he approaches Sunday's game against the Lions with any degree of uncertainty regarding his Week 15 status.
Dec 13, 2020
Runs over Jaguars
Henry carried the ball 26 times for 215 yards and two touchdowns in Week 14 against the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Henry bounced back from one of his worst performances of the season in Week 13 by topping 200 rushing yards for the second time on the campaign. He ripped off three rushes of more than 20 yards, including his longest of the day which went for 47 yards as well as a 36-yard touchdown. Henry also found the end zone from one yard away midway through the third quarter. He should be in line to continue his big close to the season, drawing matchups against Detroit, Green Bay and Houston.
Dec 6, 2020
Can't get going against Browns
Henry carried the ball 15 times for 60 yards in the team's Week 13 loss to the Browns. He added one reception for nine yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry entered the game having logged three consecutive 100-yard efforts on the ground, but was limited in his impact against the Browns. His ineffectiveness played a key role in the Titans' 38-7 deficit, as he was stuffed on a short fourth-down play on the team's first offensive possession and then lost a fumble on the following drive. Henry did get things going a bit in the second half, racking up several rushes of 10 and nine yards. Despite the disappointing effort, Henry should be in a strong position for a bounceback in Week 14 against Jacksonville.
Nov 29, 2020
Pummels Colts with three touchdowns
Henry carried the ball 27 times for 178 yards and three touchdowns in Week 12 against the Colts. He added two receptions for seven yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry sliced through the Colts' run defense for the entire game, ripping off eight runs of ten or more yards. He also notched his fourth multi-touchdown effort of the campaign, logging rushing scores of 12, 11 and one yards. Henry continues to blend tremendous volume -- he's topped 20 carries in five of his last seven contests -- with efficiency and has remained one of the consistent producers at the position as a result. He'll draw a matchup against the Browns in Week 13.
Nov 22, 2020
Beats Ravens with overtime score
Henry rushed the ball 28 times for 133 yards and a touchdown in Week 11 against the Ravens. He added a reception for -1 yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry relied on volume for the majority of his production, racking up 104 yards on his first 27 attempts of the game. However, he took his 28th carry of the game to the left side of the line before cutting across the middle of the field for a 29-yard game-winning touchdown. With the performance, Henry has surpassed 100 rushing yards for sixth time this season and for the third time in his last four contests. With workload always on his side, Henry will remain a top-end option even in another tough matchup in Week 12 against the Colts.
Nov 12, 2020
Eclipses 100-yard mark in loss
Henry rushed 19 times for 103 yards and brought in one of two targets for six yards in the Titans' 34-17 loss to the Colts on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Henry's numbers were about the only bright spot for the Titans on a forgettable night overall, with the star running back posting his fifth 100-yard effort of the campaign. Henry appeared to have his shoulder lightly examined on the sideline at one point in the second half, but any time he missed appeared to simply be due to rest purposes. The Pro Bowl running back has now averaged over 5.0 yards per carry against the Colts' normally stingy defense that last three times he's faced Indianapolis dating back to last season, and he'll look for similar success against a Ravens team he trampled for 195 yards in January's AFC Divisional Round Game when the Titans take on the Ravens in a Week 11 showdown on Sunday, Nov. 22.
Nov 8, 2020
Contained by Bears
Henry rushed the ball 21 times for 68 yards in Week 9 against the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Henry saw his normal allotment of carries but was held in check by the stout Bears' run defense. He did rip off a 26-yard run that ultimately led to a two-yard touchdown for Jonnu Smith. Aside from the carry, Henry managed to gain only 46 yards on 20 carries and was also shut out in the passing game for the third time this season. Henry is in the midst of a splendid season, but will look for a bounceback performance in Week 10 against the Colts in another tough matchup.
Nov 1, 2020
Gashes Bengals in loss
Henry carried 18 times for 112 yards and a touchdown while failing to haul in his only target in Sunday's 31-20 loss to the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Henry gashed the Cincinnati front for 6.2 yards per carry while recording a long gain of 21 yards. He scored a three-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter, giving him eight touchdowns over his last five games after failing to score in his first two. Henry is also averaging 115 yards per game during that span and the only real weakness in his game comes as a pass catcher, with just seven receptions for 66 yards. With that said, he should be a strong fantasy option again next Sunday against the Bears.
Oct 25, 2020
Scores in Week 7 effort
Henry carried the ball 20 times for 75 yards and a touchdown in Week 7 against the Steelers. He also added two receptions for -3 yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry was bottled up for large portions of the game by the stingy Steelers' run defense. Even so, he managed to break free for big yardage on a few carries, including gains of 17 and nine yards in the fourth quarter. Most importantly, he also found the end zone for the four consecutive game and now has seven on the campaign. Henry will draw a more manageable matchup against the Bengals in Week 8 with the chance to top 100 yards on the ground once again.
Oct 18, 2020
Tops 200 yards and wins it in OT
Henry rushed 22 times for 212 yards and two touchdowns while catching two of five targets for 52 yards in Sunday's 42-36 overtime win over Houston.
ANALYSIS
Henry took a back seat to quarterback Ryan Tannehill in the first half, as Tannehill accounted for all 21 of Tennessee's first-half points with a trio of touchdown passes. It was all Henry after the break, though, as he rumbled for a 94-yard touchdown to retake the lead early in the fourth quarter and won the game with a five-yard touchdown in overtime. The superstar running back has scored multiple rushing touchdowns in three consecutive games, and Henry's averaging 117.6 yards per game on the ground heading into a Week 7 showdown with the Steelers.
Oct 13, 2020
Two TDs in Tuesday night win
Henry registered 57 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries, adding a six-yard catch during Tuesday's 42-16 win against the Bills.
ANALYSIS
The 2019 NFL rushing champion was rather inefficient in posting a 3.0 yards-per-carry average against Buffalo's top-10 rush defense, but he did cash in with second and fourth-quarter touchdowns to help lift Tennessee to its first 4-0 start since 2008. Buffalo made things interesting with a 22-yard TD pass from Josh Allen to T.J. Yeldon with 10 minutes to go in the fourth quarter, but Henry's nine-yard TD run with 3:57 remaining reverted the Titans' lead to three possessions on the subsequent 11-play drive. He's averaging a gargantuan 25.3 carries per game heading into a Week 6 matchup against Houston's bottom-three rush defense.
Oct 1, 2020
Week 4 matchup postponed
Henry and the Titans will not be taking on the Steelers in Week 4 after additional personnel within the organization have tested positive for COVID-19, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The initial plan was simply to reschedule the Oct. 4 matchup for the following Monday or Tuesday, but it now appears both teams will receive a Week 4 bye and the game will be rescheduled at a yet-to-be-determined date. Practice facilities will be closed in Tennessee until further notice after an additional player and personnel member returned positive tests, with a re-open unlikely until the outbreak has been contained.
Sep 27, 2020
Finds end zone twice
Henry carried the ball 26 times for 119 yards and two touchdowns in the team's Week 3 win over the Vikings. He also added two receptions for 11 yards.
ANALYSIS
Henry topped 100 yards for the second time in his first three games. However, he managed to find the end zone for the first time, punching in a pair of one-yard scores to play a major role in the Titans' narrow victory. While it's no surprise Henry has dominated rushing work out of the team's backfield, he also has five receptions early on this season and has recorded multiple receptions on two occasions. Though that doesn't place him among the elite pass-catching running backs in the league, he recorded multiple receptions in only four games during the entire 2019 campaign.
Sep 20, 2020
Held in check by Jags
Henry ran for 84 yards on 25 rush attempts during Sunday's 33-30 win against the Jaguars. He was also targeted twice in the passing game but recorded zero receptions.
ANALYSIS
The Jacksonville defense stepped up against the NFL's leading rusher from 2019, containing Henry to a meager 3.4 yards per rush after he accumulated an absurd 7.0 yards per carry in his four preceding outings against the Jaguars. Combining Sunday's results with Henry's Week 1 performance (3.7 YPC), the 2019 Pro Bowler is off to an inefficient start to 2020, though he is still benefitting from a gargantuan workload. The 26-year-old has already garnered 59 offensive touches through Tennessee's first two outings, as the Titans now prepare for a Week 3 matchup against the 0-2 Vikings.
Sep 15, 2020
Breaks century mark on the ground
Henry ran for 116 yards on 31 carries while hauling in all three of his targets for 15 yards during Monday's 16-14 win against the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
The 2019 NFL rushing champion did not have his most efficient showing on the ground Monday night, grinding his way to 3.7 yards per carry on a massive workload but picking up five first-down gains during the contest. His pass-catching upside was higher than usual in the opener, as Henry's three receptions tied his season-high from 18 regular-season and playoff games during 2019. Upcoming Week 2, Henry will face a Jaguars defense against which he accumulated 203 rushing yards and three rushing scores in two matchups last season.
Aug 26, 2020
Keeps refining receiving ability
Henry continues to focus on improving his ability to work in the passing game, Erik Bacharach of the Tennessean reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry was spotted working with running backs coach Tony Dews, working on catches while on the run during practice Tuesday. While Henry has never caught more than 18 passes in a season, it has been pointed out on a few occasions during training camp that he is focused on improving that aspect of his game. The departure of Dion Lewis could mean that Henry remains on the field for all three downs more than past seasons, though rookie Darrynton Evans could also work as the primary pass-catching back.
Aug 18, 2020
Getting work in passing game
Henry has caught the ball well early in camp, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry has never recorded more than 18 receptions in a season, so this could just be camp chatter. On the other hand, the Titans lack experience in their backfield behind Henry, as rookie Darrynton Evans is currently projected to be the primary pass-catcher out of the backfield. If Henry can increase his work as a receiver, he would be one of the most heavily utilized backs in the league.

Lands four-year deal
Henry has agreed to a four-year deal with the Titans worth $50 million, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry's new deal with Tennessee includes $25.5 million guaranteed and comes on the heels of the franchise inking QB Ryan Tannehill to a long-term pact earlier this offseason. With that, Henry who was the NFL's leading rusher in 2019 with 1,540 yards, will continue to head the Titans' backfield and remains a top option at his position in both real and fantasy terms. Backing him up and slated to serve as a change-of-pace option this coming season is 2020 third-rounder Darrynton Evans.
Jul 15, 2020
Nearing extension
The Titans and Henry are closing in on a long-term contract in advance of Wednesday's 4 p.m. ET deadline, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The 2019 rushing champ, Henry powered Tennessee to the AFC Championship Game back in January after racking up 1,540 yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground. He received the non-exclusive franchise tag in March, and while talks between his representation and the team ensued, he wasn't expected to get an extension as recently as Tuesday, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. With an extension now on the precipice of being finalized, Henry may soon be locked up by the Titans for the foreseeable future.
Jul 14, 2020
Not getting long-term deal
Henry and the Titans aren't expected to reach a long-term agreement before Wednesday's extension deadline for franchise-tagged players, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry is scheduled to make $10.27 million in 2020 and then become a free agent next offseason. His decision to sign the franchise tender back in April means the Titans can fine him if he holds out, so it isn't clear if the running back is considering that option. The team could use a franchise tag again next offseason, with the number going up to around $12.32 million. It's possible Henry and the Titans could reach an agreement -- even if it's only verbal -- to avoid the tag next year.
Jun 12, 2020
Working toward contract
Titans GM Jon Robinson had a phone call with Henry's agent last week to discuss a new contract, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The team's use of a franchise tag sets up a July 15 deadline for negotiations on a multi-year deal. Henry's decision to sign the franchise tender suggests he isn't planning a holdout, but there's no question he'll be annoyed if he ends up playing out the season under the tag. Robinson said Henry has been consistently engaged in the Titans' virtual offseason program, attending meetings and helping teammates. The 26-year-old running back has made it clear he prefers to stay with the Titans long term.
Apr 2, 2020
Signs franchise tender
Henry signed his franchise-tag tender Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry's decision to sign the tender hints at confidence in working out a multi-year contract before the July 15 deadline, though Titans general manager Jon Robinson suggested Wednesday that the two parties will wait until summer to hammer out details. Any concern about a holdout can probably be put to rest, as there's no advantage to signing the tender if Henry would consider missing games in the absence of a long-term deal. Players that opted for the holdout route in past seasons declined to sign their franchise tenders, thus avoiding any fines for missing practices and other team activities.
Apr 2, 2020
Waiting for contract negotiations
General manager Jon Robinson said Henry and the Titans will wait until summer to discuss a long-term contract, Paul Kuharsky of 104.5 The Zone Nashville reports.
ANALYSIS
A previous report made it sound like negotiations were imminent, but it now appears the Titans will wait until after the draft and possibly longer. The team placed a franchise tag on Henry in mid-March, providing four months to discuss an extension before the July 15 deadline. If no deal is worked out by that time, Henry could decide to leave the tag unsigned and miss part or all of training camp without sacrificing any of his $10.3 million franchise-tag salary. Most players that choose the holdout path rejoin their teams before Week 1, but Le'Veon Bell in 2018 was a notable exception.
Apr 1, 2020
Discussing contract extension
General manager John Robinson said he wants to sign Henry to a long-term contract, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The two sides have three and a half months remaining before the July 15 deadline for franchise-tagged players to sign extensions. Henry has made it clear he wants to stay in Tennessee, where his late-season 2018 breakout carried over to a massive campaign in 2019. Big contracts for running backs have mostly turned out disastrous in recent seasons, but Henry has the advantage of starting his pro career with lighter workloads in offenses that featured DeMarco Murray in the backfield.
Mar 16, 2020
Receives non-exclusive tag
The Titans applied the non-exclusive franchise tag on Henry.
ANALYSIS
As a result, the running back can receive offers from other teams, which the Titans would have then have the opportunity to match. In a scenario in which Tennessee declines to match, the Titans would be due two first-round draft picks. With that in mind, both John Glennon of The Athletic and Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site deem it unlikely that another team will extend Henry an offer.
Mar 16, 2020
Gets franchise tag
The Titans have placed their franchise tag on Henry, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The team recently released change-of-pace back Dion Lewis, but the Titans have unsurprisingly decided to prioritize retaining the bruising Henry, who logged 303 carries for 1,540 yards and 16 TDs to go along with 18 catches for 206 yards and another two scores in 15 games last season. Henry is now slated to reprise his role as Tennessee's top back and will be taking handoffs from QB Ryan Tannehill, who the team has signed to a contract extension.
Feb 5, 2020
Eyeing Zeke contract
Henry said Ezekiel Elliott's six-year, $90 million contract is "the floor" for what he'll be seeking this offseason, Rich Eisen of FOX Sports Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
To be fair, Eisen asked a leading question and Henry merely agreed. There are a slew of teams with enough cap space to hand the 26-year-old a contract similar to Elliott's, but recent history mostly shows buyer's remorse with long-term deals for running backs. Henry does have one major advantage over Todd Gurley, Devonta Freeman and other positional counterparts, having averaged just 180 touches over his first three seasons before ballooning to 409 (including playoffs) in the final season of his rookie contract. Henry made it clear his preference is to stay with the Titans, though he presumably won't be thrilled if that happens via the franchise tag.
Jan 19, 2020
Held in check to close season
Henry carried the ball 19 times for 69 yards and a touchdown in the team's AFC Championship Game loss to the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Henry worked fairly effectively in the first half, racking up 62 yards on the ground while finding the end zone. However, he was largely scripted out of the second half gameplan as the Titans fell behind, receiving only three carries in the final two quarters. It was a disappointing conclusion to a tremendous postseason for Henry, who surpassed 200 total yards in the team's two victories. Now, Henry will turn his focus to inking a new contract as he enters the free agent market for the first time in his career.
Jan 12, 2020
Tramples another elite defense
Henry rushed 30 times for 195 yards, threw a three-yard touchdown pass and brought in both his targets for seven yards in the Titans' 28-12 divisional-round win over the Ravens on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
The final rushing numbers encapsulate how dominant Henry was against yet another elite defensive unit, while his unlikely touchdown pass was a perfect combination of precisely-timed playcalling by offensive coordinator Arthur Smith and flawless execution by Henry on a jump pass to Corey Davis. Henry now has at least 30 carries in three consecutive contests dating back to Week 17, a span during which he's accumulated a jaw-dropping 588 rushing yards and four scores on the ground in addition to the one through the air Saturday. Henry still appears fresh despite the heavy usage, which doesn't bode well for either the Texans or the Chiefs in next Sunday's AFC Championship Game.
Dec 21, 2019
Downgraded to questionable
Henry was downgraded to questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints with a hamstring injury, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
This certainly isn't great news, made worse by the fact Dayln Dawkins was called up from the practice squad to act as a depth running back. Considering Henry, who has been dealing with a hamstring issue all week, initially didn't have an injury designation following Friday's practice, it's clear the powerful back has suffered some sort of setback, although the team did opt to rule him as questionable as opposed to something more serious. Still, fantasy owners will want to monitor his status heading into Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff against the Saints.
Dec 19, 2019
Not practicing Thursday
Henry (hamstring) isn't present for Thursday's practice and will go down as a non-participant on the Titans' injury report, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
While Henry's downgrade from limited participation Wednesday to no activity Thursday wouldn't seem to be a positive sign on the surface, he failed to practice in any fashion last week before gaining active status for Sunday's eventual loss to the Texans, during which he carried 21 times for 86 yards. Though he wasn't on the field Thursday, Henry told the media prior to the session that he has no intention of sitting out this weekend against the Saints, per Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site. Whether Henry carries an injury designation into the contest won't be known until the Titans release their final Week 16 injury report Friday.
Nov 29, 2019
Good to go against Colts
Henry (hamstring) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Colts after practicing fully Friday, Erik Bacharach of The Tennessean reports.
ANALYSIS
Henry is thus poised to continue to head the Titans' rushing attack this weekend. He's been a roll of late, racking up 347 rushing yards and four TDs on 42 carries over his last two outings, while adding three catches for 19 yards in that span. He'll look to keep that run going Sunday against an Indy defense has surrendered an average of 97 yards per game on the ground to date.
