Yosh Nijman will likely continue to fill in for Jenkins at left tackle until the 25-year-old is healthy again. If Jenkins can't play Sunday, the Mississippi State product's next chance to play will come in Week 6 against the Bears.

Jenkins (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Steelers, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official website reports.

As expected, the Packers will be without Jenkins for a second straight week. The 25-year-old offensive linemen was filling in for David Bakhtiari (knee) during the first two weeks of the season, but the Packers have turned to third-string left tackle Yosh Nijman during Jenkins' absence.

After a strong rookie season, Jenkins continued to impress as he played well filling in for starting left tackle David Bakhtiari (knee). Jenkins' ankle injury forced the offensive lineman to miss Week 3 and will likely force him to sit out in Week 4. Expect Yosh Nijman to fill in at left tackle for Jenkins if he is ruled out.

Jenkins' absence will put the Packers' offensive line in a bind against a ferocious San Francisco pass rush, as Green Bay has already been playing without usual left tackle David Bakhtiari (knee). The team could opt to slide Billy Turner from right tackle to left tackle and start Dennis Kelly in Turner's usual spot, though Yosh Nijman is also an option if Turner stays in his customary role.

Jenkins (ankle) is considered doubtful for Sunday's game at San Francisco.

Jenkins' chances of playing against the 49ers are increasingly small based on his practice activity during the week, as he was unable to participate in any of the sessions between Wednesday and Friday. If he can't go, then Yosh Njiman might be in line for a start at left tackle.

Jenkins started at left tackle in place of an injured David Bakhtiari (knee) in Sunday's season opener.

Bakhtiari opened the season on the PUP list, and the Packers are turning to their Pro Bowl guard to fill in until he is ready to go. The move appears to have worked, as according to Daire Carragher of PFF, Jenkins "registered the highest PFF grade of his career" and "was the second-highest graded LT in the league in Week 1."

Jenkins (ribs/back) is active for Sunday's game against the Saints, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.

Jenkins was a late addition to the injury report Friday, but he's managed to progress enough to suit up Sunday. He'll draw his usual start at left guard.

Jenkins appeared in all 18 games the Packers played in his rookie season and started at left guard from Week 3 onward.

The Packers selected Jenkins in the second round of last year's draft, and they nailed the pick, as he held down a starting spot nearly the entire season and more than held his own. He will be a key cog in the Packers' offensive line in 2020 and beyond.
