Let go by 49ers
Apple was released by the 49ers on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Apple lasted less than two weeks in the organization after signing with San Francisco following a tryout July 27. He'll look to latch on with another team during the preseason. The veteran cornerback has appeared in 102 regular-season games, split between the Giants, Saints, Panthers, Bengals, Dolphins and Chargers.
Jul 27, 2025
Signs with San Francisco
Apple and the 49ers agreed on a one-year contract Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple joined the 49ers for a tryout Sunday, which ultimately resulted in a contract for the 29-year-old. The cornerback will battle with Tre Avery, Chase Lucas and Dallis Flowers, amongst others, for a spot on the team's 53-man roster in 2025.
Jan 11, 2025
Able to suit up Saturday
Apple (hamstring) is active for Saturday's clash against Houston in the AFC wild-card round.
ANALYSIS
Apple played in just four contests during the regular season, and he spent the final six weeks on IR due to a hamstring injury. The veteran cornerback was activated from IR on Friday, and he'll be available to provide depth in the secondary against the Texans. Apple wasn't a big part of the Chargers' defense even when healthy, though, as he logged just 13 defensive snaps over his final three contests.
Jan 10, 2025
Brought off IR
The Chargers activated Apple (hamstring) from IR on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Apple remains officially listed as questionable for Saturday's road AFC wild-card matchup against the Texans, but his activation from IR is a necessary first step if he's going to take the field. If cleared to suit up at Houston, the veteran cornerback will figure to handle a depth role on defense.
Jan 8, 2025
Designated to return from IR
The Chargers designated Apple (hamstring) to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple suffered a hamstring injury during the Chargers' Week 12 loss to the Ravens, which was severe enough for him to be placed on injured reserve Nov. 27. Apple will be able to practice over the next two days, and depending on how his hamstring responds to on-field work, he could be activated off IR ahead of the Chargers' wild-card round clash against the Texans on Saturday.
Nov 27, 2024
Lands on injured reserve
The Chargers placed Apple (hamstring) on injured reserve Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Apple suffered a hamstring injury in the first quarter of Monday's loss to the Ravens. By being placed on injured reserve, Apple will be forced to miss at least the next four regular-season games, making Week 17 against the Patriots on Sunday, Dec. 29 the earliest he can return. Tarheeb Still, Ja'Sir Taylor and Deane Leonard will serve as the primary backups at corner due to Apple's injury.
Nov 25, 2024
Downgraded to out Monday
Apple (hamstring) will not return to Monday night's game against the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
The cornerback suffered the injury in the first quarter and left the game before recording a stat. Ja'Sir Taylor, Tarheeb Still and Deane Leonard are the remaining available backup corners for the Chargers.
Nov 25, 2024
Leaves game due to hamstring injury
Apple (hamstring) is questionable to return to Monday's game against the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Apple suffered a hamstring injury in the first quarter of Monday's game. Leane Leonard would be the Chargers' lone backup outside corner behind Kristian Fulton and Tarheeb Still if Apple does not return.
Nov 25, 2024
Signs to active roster
The Chargers signed Apple to their active roster Monday.
ANALYSIS
Apple was elevated for each of the Chargers' last three games before signing with their active roster Monday, recording two total tackles across 58 total snaps (46 defensive and 12 on special teams). Expect the 2016 first-round pick from Ohio State to play a depth role in Los Angeles' secondary while also contributing on special teams in Monday night's matchup against the Ravens.
Oct 14, 2024
Lands on Chargers' practice squad
San Diego is signing Apple to a practice-squad deal, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple played for Miami last year, tallying 46 tackles (37 solo), including a half-sack, and one interception over 10 regular-season games. The veteran cornerback has also had stints with the Giants (twice), New Orleans (twice), Carolina and Cincinnati in his NFL career. Apple will begin his Chargers tenure on the practice squad, but he could be needed for game action as soon as Week 7 if Kristian Fulton (hamstring) and/or Deane Leonard (hamstring) -- both of whom were injured Sunday versus Denver -- are unable to suit up.
Feb 9, 2024
Heading to free agency
Apple recorded 46 tackles (37 solo), 0.5 sacks, nine pass breakups and one interception across 10 regular-season appearances with the Dolphins in 2023.
ANALYSIS
Apple started four games for Miami due to injuries ahead of him at cornerback, filling exactly the role the team expected of him while on a one-year deal. Heading into free agency, Apple no longer seems like a candidate for an actual starting role in the league, but he offers tangible value as an experienced depth option. The 28-year-old may not be one of the hottest names on the free agent market, but he should be able to resurface in at least a reserve role for the 2024 campaign.
Sep 25, 2023
Avoids concussion
Coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Apple has been cleared of a concussion, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple left Sunday's 70-20 win versus Denver early after sustaining a blow to the head, but he thankfully avoided a serious injury. He's still one of Miami's top three cover corners going into Week 4 at Buffalo.
Sep 24, 2023
Exits game Sunday
Apple left Sunday's game against the Broncos with a concussion.
ANALYSIS
Apple will now enter the concussion protocol and will have to clear it in order to return to the game. Kelvin Joseph is now filling in for the injured 28-year-old and his status will be worth monitoring going forward.
Jul 29, 2023
Latches on with Miami
Apple signed a one-year contract with the Dolphins on Saturday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The Dolphins moved quickly to find a replacement for the injured Jalen Ramsey signing the former Bengals starter within days after the All-Pro underwent surgery to his torn meniscus, which is expected keep him out until the later stages of the season. Apple, a 2016 first-round pick by way of the Giants, struggled to find his footing in the NFL until latching on with the Bengals in 2021 and immediately assuming a critical role in the team's secondary. While he's not a turnover merchant or lockdown corner, Apple is a capable enough option for a Dolphins secondary that desperately needed a reliable veteran opposite Xavien Howard.
Feb 1, 2023
On the way out?
Apple had six tackles in the AFC Championship Game loss to the Chiefs on Sunday. He's one of five starters on the Bengals who are free agents this offseason, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple will unlikely be back as a starter with the Bengals, as Cam Taylor-Britt has emerged and they'll be getting Chidobe Awuzie back from his ACL injury. Even if Awuzie has a setback, the team might turn elsewhere to find another starter.
Jan 8, 2023
Will play Sunday
Apple (neck) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Apple drew a questionable tag after picking up a neck injury during Week 18 prep, but he'll ultimately be active for the Bengals' regular-season finale. Across 14 appearances, the veteran cornerback has totaled 43 tackles and eight pass defenses while playing nearly every single defensive snap for Cincinnati this season.
Jan 6, 2023
Officially questionable
Apple (neck) is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Apple landed on the injury report Thursday as a limited participant due to a neck injury but upgraded to a full participant Friday. However, the cornerback's status for Week 18 is still in question. It appears Apple is trending in the right direction, but the team will presumably wait until after warmups to make an official decision on his availability for Sunday's divisional matchup.
Nov 3, 2022
Submits full session Thursday
Apple (hamstring) was a full participant during Thursday's practice, Chris Roling of Bengals Wire reports.
ANALYSIS
After being sidelined during Monday's game versus the Browns due to a hamstring issue, Apple has since logged a limited session Wednesday and a full practice Thursday, putting him in line to play Week 9 against Carolina. The 27-year-old hasn't particularly stood out in the stat sheet thus far in 2022, as he's corralled 19 tackles and no interceptions across seven games played. Apple is in line to slot back in as the team's No. 1 cornerback when the Bengals host the Panthers on Sunday.
Nov 2, 2022
Limited Wednesday
Apple (hamstring) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple was sidelined during the Bengals' Week 8 loss to the Browns due to a hamstring injury he suffered a week prior. It's encouraging to see the veteran defensive back return to practice, albeit in a limited fashion, but he'll likely have to a log at least one full session if he wants to avoid an injury designation for Sunday's matchup against the Panthers.
Oct 31, 2022
Won't suit up Monday
Apple (hamstring) was ruled inactive ahead of Monday's game against the Browns, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple played a season-low 16 defensive snaps in last week's win over the Falcons and popped up with a hamstring injury on the Bengals' injury report Thursday. The 27-year-old cornerback was then listed as questionable heading into Monday night's contest, and he is now set to miss his first game of the season. With Apple sidelined, expect veteran Mike Hilton and rookie Cam Taylor-Britt to step up into bigger roles at against Cleveland.
Oct 29, 2022
Doubtful for Monday night
Apple (hamstring) did not participate at practice Saturday and is listed as doubtful for Monday's game at Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Apple seems likely to miss his first game of the season Monday with a hamstring injury. If he is indeed out for Week 8, Tre Flowers would be in line for fill-in reps on the boundary opposite Chidobe Awuzie.
Oct 28, 2022
Doesn't practice Friday
Apple (hamstring) didn't practice Friday, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple was a limited participant Thursday due to the hamstring injury but was downgraded to a non-participant Friday. He'll have one more opportunity to practice before the Saints need to make a decision on his status for Monday's matchup against the Browns.
Sep 27, 2022
Gets in full practice
Apple (ankle) was a full participant in practice Tuesday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple played 100 percent of the defensive snaps in the team's 27-12 win over the Jets on Sunday, but he popped up as a limited participant in the Bengals' estimated practice report Monday. His move to full participation means he should be good to go Thursday against the Dolphins.
Sep 26, 2022
Dealing with ankle injury
Apple (ankle) would have been limited Monday per the Bengals' estimated practice report, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple was able to play 100 percent of the defensive snaps in the team's 27-12 win over the Jets on Sunday, despite popping up on the injury report. Typically a limited session this early in the week, and an estimated one at that, would be of little concern, but with the Bengals playing Thursday it does mean a bit more. If Apple is unable to go it'd likely lead to extra opportunity to Tre Flowers and Mike Hilton.
Sep 8, 2022
Moves past injury
Apple (quad) was not listed on Cincinnati's injury report Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Apple missed back-to-back practices after having fluid drained from his quad in late August, but he now appears to be available again heading into the regular season. The 27-year-old should slot in opposite Chidobe Awuzie as the Bengals' starting cornerbacks versus the Steelers on Sunday.
Aug 24, 2022
Dealing with quad issue
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Wednesday that Apple won't practice Wednesday or Thursday due to a quad injury, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Taylor relayed that Apple will have fluid drained from his quad, which will keep him sidelined, but it doesn't appear like the injury, or procedure, is a major concern yet. The 2016 first-round pick agreed to a one-year, $4 million deal this offseason to return to the Bengals after totaling 49 tackles, two interceptions and 10 pass defenses across 16 appearances last year.
Mar 17, 2022
Remains with Bengals
Apple agreed to a one-year, $4 million contract with the Bengals on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple made 16 regular-season appearances during his first year with Cincinnati, and he totaled 49 tackles (38 solo), two interceptions and 10 pass defenses. He appears to be in line for a starting role once again heading into 2022, but it's possible that the Bengals could address the cornerback position in this year's draft.
Dec 16, 2021
Not on injury report
Apple (ankle) was not listed on Wednesday's injury report.
ANALYSIS
Apple suffered an ankle injury during Sunday's game against the 49ers, but he already appears back to full health. Barring any setbacks, he should be ready to handle his usual every-down role Week 15 at Denver.
Dec 12, 2021
Suffers injury
Apple (ankle) is questionable to return Sunday against the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Apple's exit takes down a Bengals starter in the secondary. He'll try to return, but in the meantime Vernon Hargreaves or Mike Hilton should see extra opportunity.
Nov 30, 2021
Interception in win
Apple recorded two tackles (two solo) while also intercepting a pass in the 41-10 blowout win over Pittsburgh on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The 26-year-old's game-changing interception and 50-yard return set up a Bengals field goal in which they were able to stretch their first quarter lead to 10-0. Two interceptions and a fumble in his last two games should give the former Ohio State cornerback some confidence going forward.
Oct 12, 2021
Top of depth chart again
Apple will likely be the top cornerback for the Bengals for the foreseeable future, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
The 26-year-old will take over at the top of the depth chart following Trae Waynes (hamstring) being placed on injured reserve. This season, Apple has made 21 tackles and deflected three pass deflections through five contests.
Sep 6, 2021
Week 1 Start
Apple will start at corner in place of the injured Trae Waynes (hamstring) in Week 1 against the Vikings, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
It's interesting to see Apple get the nod ahead of Darius Phillips and Mike Hilton, though Hilton is specifically tasked to be a slot corner.
Mar 23, 2021
Heads to Cincinnati
Apple signed with the Bengals on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple dealt with ankle, foot and hamstring injuries, and he played in just two games before being cut by the Panthers in late October. The 2016 tenth overall pick will head to his fourth team in four years hoping for a fresh start. In his last full season in 2019, Apple registered 58 tackles, four pass breakups and a forced fumble over 15 games with the Saints. He'll have an opportunity to play a significant role in Cincinnati's defense next year alongside fellow corners Chidobe Awuzie and Trae Waynes (pectoral).
Oct 27, 2020
Cut loose by Panthers
The Panthers released Apple (hamstring) on Tuesday, Myles Simmons of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple hasn't been able to stay healthy, battling ankle and hamstring injuries this year. He's suited up in just two games and totaled 28 defensive snaps, and after leaving Tuesday's practice early to receive treatment on his hamstring, the Panthers decided to cut him loose. The 2016 first-round pick will now focus on getting healthy as he searches for his fourth NFL team in five years.
Oct 25, 2020
Active as expected
Apple (hamstring) will play in Sunday's game against the Saints, Myles Simmons of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
It was reported earlier Sunday that Apple was expected to suit up, so this news isn't surprising. Apple will make just his second appearance of the season, as lower-body injuries have cost him most of his season. Expect the Ohio State product to have a role in dime packages Sunday, especially considering starter Rasul Douglas landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list this week.
Oct 25, 2020
Should play Sunday
Apple (hamstring), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints, is expected to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Lower-body injuries have limited Apple to just one appearance this season, and the 2016 first-round pick only handled a special-teams role in that contest. Assuming Apple is in fact active Sunday, he should at least have a role in dime packages with regular starter Rasul Douglas not available this week after landing on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Oct 23, 2020
Questionable for Sunday
Apple (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game at New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old practiced as a full participant all week, so it's a bit of a surprise to see him carry an injury designation into the weekend. Assuming he plays, Apple should have an increased role with Rasul Douglas on the COVID-19 list.
Oct 21, 2020
Full speed ahead
Apple (hamstring) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Jonathan M. Alexander of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple sat out the last two games due to a hamstring injury, but barring a setback, he'll return to the lineup Sunday against the Saints, who he played 25 games for over the previous two seasons. The 2016 first-round pick has played just six snaps this year -- all on special teams -- and it's unsettled what kind of role he'll have on the Panthers' defense. The team may choose to keep Apple in a reserve role considering it has allowed just 219 passing yards per game this season -- seventh in the league.
Oct 18, 2020
Unavailable against Bears
Apple (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Bears, Myles Simmons of the Panthers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple has battled a myriad of injuries, as he'll sit out for the fifth time this season due to a hamstring issue. In the one game he did suit up, the 25-year-old cornerback played exclusively on special teams, so his absence will mainly affect the team's secondary depth.
Oct 16, 2020
Questionable for Sunday
Apple (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple practiced fully Thursday, but he's apparently not out of the woods yet with the hamstring injury that forced him to miss last week's game. While it seems more likely than not that Apple will suit up in this one, Troy Pride would once again take on a larger role if Apple ultimately sits.
Oct 15, 2020
Practices without limitations
Apple (hamstring) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Alaina Getzenberg of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple couldn't suit up against Atlanta in Week 5 due to a lingering hamstring injury, but after having been limited Wednesday, it now looks as though he's back to full health. Barring any setbacks, he'll provide a boost to Carolina's secondary when the team faces the Bears on Sunday.
Oct 8, 2020
Downgrades to DNP
Apple (hamstring) did not practice Thursday, Alaina Getzenberg of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, so his complete lack of activity Thursday is a step in the wrong direction. Troy Pride will likely handle increased defensive snaps if Apple is forced to miss Sunday's game in Atlanta.
Oct 4, 2020
Leaves with hamstring injury
Apple won't return to Sunday's game against the Cardinals due to a hamstring injury, Myles Simmons of the Panthers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple was activated off injured reserve Saturday after missing the first three games of the season with ankle/foot issues, but he went down with the hamstring injury during his season debut. Troy Pride should see increased reps at cornerback for the Panthers.
Oct 3, 2020
Set to play Sunday
The Panthers activated Apple (ankle/foot) from injured reserve Saturday, indicating that he'll play in Sunday's game versus the Cardinals, Alaina Getzenberg of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple is poised to make his Panthers debut Sunday after missing the first three games. The 25-year-old cornerback allowed a 100.9 passer rating when targeted last year, and while that's nothing to be intrigued by, he should still be a boost to the Panthers' defense that has allowed 258.3 passing yards per game -- the eighth-most in the league.
Sep 30, 2020
Back at practice
Apple (ankle) will practice Wednesday, Myles Simmons of the Panthers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple's return to practice signifies the start of a 21-day window for the Panthers to add him to the active roster, or to allow him to revert to IR for the rest of the season. Once he's back to full health, Apple is expected to push for one of Carolina's starting cornerback positions.
Sep 7, 2020
Won't play in September
The Panthers placed Apple (ankle/foot) on injured reserve Monday, Myles Simmons of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple missed a handful of practices with a hamstring injury, and he's also dealing with both ankle and foot issues. He'll be required to miss at least three weeks with the possibility of returning for Week 4's matchup versus Arizona. The Panthers claimed Rasul Douglas off waivers Sunday, and the new addition could get the first shot at the starting cornerback job sans Apple.
Aug 26, 2020
Dealing with injury
Apple missed Wednesday's practice due to a hamstring issue, Alaina Getzenberg of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear how Apple suffered the hamstring injury, however, the team hopes they can get him back for Friday's practice. The Ohio State product was signed this offseason to fill a void at cornerback, as the Panthers signed him away from their NFC South rival the Saints. Once back to full strength, Apple should be back taking first-team reps, getting ready to start in Carolina's secondary in 2020.
May 28, 2020
Finds home in Carolina
Apple agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Panthers on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Apple previously agreed to sign with the Raiders in March, but after having been unable to finalize a deal in Las Vegas the veteran corner will now link up with the Panthers. The 24-year-old fills a key void on Carolina's roster, as the team didn't previously much in the way of proven options behind Donte Jackson. As such, Apple looks primed to play a starting role at cornerback for new defensive coordinator Phil Snow. The former Saint will remain in the NFC South.
Apr 2, 2020
Deal with Raiders falls through
Apple and the Raiders were unable to finalize a contract Thursday, making him an unrestricted free agent, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple is coming off a career-best year with New Orleans, having notched 58 tackles (53 solo), four defended passes and one forced fumble across 15 contests. With Apple now set to look for an opportunity elsewhere in the league, the Raiders could be motivated to sign another veteran cornerback in free agency or address the position in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Mar 18, 2020
Joins Raiders
Apple will sign with the Raiders,Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
In his first full campaign with Saints, Apple logged 58 tackles and a forced fumble, while missing one regular-season contest in 2019. The Raiders will be Apple's third team since being drafted No. 10 overall by the Giants in 2016. The 24-year-old should move right into a starting corner role for Las Vegas.
Jan 4, 2020
Out Sunday, but not on IR
Contrary to a previous report, Apple (ankle) wasn't placed on IR, but he won't play Sunday versus the Vikings, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple may still return if the Saints advance to the divisional round. With the 24-year-old out, the Saints' secondary takes a hit, and P.J. Williams and Patrick Robinson are expected to see upticks in usage Sunday.
Jan 4, 2020
Lands on IR
The Saints have placed Apple (ankle) on injured reserve ahead of Sunday's Wild Card game against the Vikings, Paul Schwartz of the New York Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple's postseason has come to a premature end. He sustained the injury in Week 16, and the severity is too much to overcome. Look for Janoris Jenkins and P.J. Williams to see increased roles as a result of his absence.
Jan 3, 2020
Missing playoff opener
Apple (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's playoff game versus Minnesota, Chris Corso of the Vikings' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old sustained the ankle injury Week 16 and sat out the regular-season finale, and he won't be able to suit up Sunday. Janoris Jenkins and P.J. Williams are primed to see heavier workloads in Apple's absence.
Jan 1, 2020
DNP at practice Wednesday
Apple (knee) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Mike Triplett of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple has not been able to practice since exiting Week 16's win over the Titans. If he's still unable to return during the week, Patrick Robinson and Janoris Jenkins will likely continue to absorb the extra playing time in the Wild Card game against the Vikings on Sunday.
Dec 27, 2019
Sidelined for Week 17
Apple has an ankle injury and won't play in Sunday's game against the Panthers, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple failed to suit up in all three practices this week leading up to the contest, so his absence isn't quite surprising. In his stead, look for P.J. Williams and Janoris Jenkis to see an uptick in snaps at the cornerback position behind usual starter Marshon Lattimore.
Dec 25, 2019
Sits out of practice
Apple (ankle) was estimated as a non-participant in Wednesday's walk-through.
ANALYSIS
Apple was forced from Sunday's win over the Titans with the injury. Patrick Robinson and Janoris Jenkins absorbed most of the resulting playing time and could do so again if Apple can't make it back for Week 17.
Dec 22, 2019
Suffers injury Sunday
Apple was forced out of Sunday's game against the Titans with an ankle injury, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple was injured while chasing down Titans' receiver A.J. Brown, who scored on the play. If Apple is unable to return, both P.J. Williams and recent waiver-acquisition Janoris Jenkins should see increases in their respective snap counts.
Oct 20, 2019
Suffers serious-looking injury
Apple suffered a leg injury in the final minute of Sunday's win over the Bears, Jeff Duncan of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Apple crumpled in the end zone on a non-contact injury, which immediately raises concern about a possible torn ACL. He was taken straight to the locker room after getting hurt.
