Wilson finished the 2024 season with 72 tackles (38 solo), including 2.0 sacks, two pass breakups, including one interception, and one forced fumble across 17 regular-season contests.
ANALYSIS
After recording zero starts in the two previous seasons with Green Bay, Wilson made 12 starts during the 2024 campaign, as his 558 defensive snaps were the most he's played since 2020 with the Vikings. Wilson, however, played just three defensive snaps in the wild-card playoff loss to the Eagles, as he was behind all three of Quay Walker, Edgerrin Cooper and Isaiah McDuffie on the depth chart at linebacker. Wilson is now scheduled to hit free agency in March and turns 31 years old in September.
Dec 30, 2024
Logs nine stops vs. Vikings
Wilson recorded nine total tackles (five solo) in Sunday's 27-25 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
The veteran linebacker from Cincinnati played 100 percent of the Packers' defensive snaps in Week 17 with Quay Walker (ankle) sidelined, tying Keisean Nixon as the team's third-leading tackler. Wilson has had one of the most productive seasons of his career in his eighth year in the NFL, tallying 65 total tackles, including 2.0 sacks, two passes defended and one forced fumble while appearing in all 16 of the Packers' regular-season games thus far. He could continue to start in Green Bay's linebacker corps is Walker is sidelined again for the Week 18 matchup against the Bears.
Oct 28, 2024
Records season-high tackle total
Wilson recorded nine tackles (five solo) during Sunday's 30-27 win at Jacksonville.
ANALYSIS
Wilson led Packers linebackers in snaps (56) for a second straight game in Week 8 with Quay Walker (concussion) out, and he tallied nine tackles in a game for the first time since back in 2021. If Walker can't return in Week 9 versus the Lions, Wilson could enter consideration as an IDP option.
Oct 21, 2024
Monster performance in Week 7
Wilson recorded six total tackles (all solo), including 2.0 sacks and an additional four tackles for loss, and defended one pass in Sunday's 24-22 win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
The 30-year-old took full advantage of his increased snaps with Green Bay's first-team defense after Quay Walker left with a concussion in the first quarter of Sunday's win. Wilson has now tallied 20 total tackles, including 2.0 sacks, forced one fumble and nabbed one interception across 126 defensive snaps this season. Don't be surprised if the Cincinnati product begins to see increased work with the Packers' first-team defense even when Walker returns from injury, as Wilson seems to positively impact the game whenever he's on the field.
Mar 22, 2024
Staying in Green Bay
The Packers re-signed Wilson on Friday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran linebacker spent each of the last two seasons with the Packers, and he'll remain in Green Bay for the immediate future after re-signing with the team Friday. Wilson has seen limited work on defense during his time in Green Bay, but he's been an integral part of the Packers' special-teams unit. Over the last two years, Wilson has logged more special teams snaps (308) and tackles (25) than any other Packer. Expect the 30-year-old to continue being an essential part of Green Bay's special-teams unit in 2024.

Steps into larger role in Week 17
Wilson finished Sunday's 33-10 win over the Vikings with six tackles (three solo).
ANALYSIS
Wilson stepped into the starting inside linebacker role alongside Quay Walker after Isaiah McDuffie was forced out of Sunday's game due to a concussion. McDuffie drew the start in Week 17 after De'Vondre Campbell was ruled out ahead of the game with a neck injury. If neither McDuffie or Campbell are able to progress through practice leading up to Week 18 against the Bears, Wilson could be in line to draw the start at inside linebacker alongside Walker.

Signs with Green Bay
The Packers signed Wilson off of New Orleans' practice squad Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old linebacker recorded 43 tackles over seven games with Philadelphia during the first half of the 2021 season, which prorates to 104 tackles over a full 17-game season. However, he'll likely just play in a depth role in Green Bay as long as De'Vondre Campbell and Quay Walker remain healthy.
Aug 30, 2022
Waived by New Orleans
The Saints waived Wilson on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Wilson signed with the Saints this offseason and was expected to serve as a depth linebacker in 2022, but he finds himself among a wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline. The 27-year-old linebacker recorded 46 tackles and an interception across 14 appearances in 2021.
May 16, 2022
Inks deal
Wilson signed a contract with the Saints on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Wilson spent time with the Texans and Eagles last season after spending the previous four with the Vikings. He totaled 14 games in 2021, recording 43 tackles, a pass defensed and interception. Wilson should help provide depth to the Saints' linebacker unit this upcoming season.
Dec 29, 2021
Restored from COVID list
Wilson (illness) has been activated from the Texans' reserve/COVID-19 list.
ANALYSIS
Wilson was on the COVID list for about a week. He will now be free to return to practice and prepare for Sunday's matchup with 49ers. He will now be free to resume his role at outside linebacker opposite Christian Kirksey.
Dec 22, 2021
Placed on COVID-19 list
The Texans placed Wilson (undisclosed) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Wilson has played primarily on special teams since joining the Texans. Whether he's tested positive for the virus remains to be seen, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be available Sunday against the Chargers.
Nov 4, 2021
Claimed by Texans
Wilson was claimed by Houston on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
The linebacker was waived by the Eagles on Tuesday after appearing in seven contests for the team this year. He made 43 tackles and intercepted a pass in those games. Wilson will have a chance to play sooner rather than later as Christian Kirksey (thumb) and Kevin Pierre-Louis (illness) both carry questionable tags heading into Sunday's matchup with the Dolphins.
Nov 3, 2021
Waived by Philadelphia
Wilson was waived by the Eagles on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Wilson was a coach's decision inactive for the Eagles Week 8 contest against the Lions. Coach Nick Sirianni appears to be leaning on the team's younger players for defense for the remainder of the season. Expect Davion Taylor to see an increased role for the Eagles' defense Sunday against the Chargers.
Oct 31, 2021
Left off game-day roster
Wilson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Lions, Martin Frank of the Delaware News Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
Wilson wasn't listed on the injury report all week, so his absence from the game-day roster implies the linebacker has been benched for Week 8. Davion Taylor will likely draw the start and play the majority of snaps in Wilson's absence.
Oct 5, 2021
Huge day in loss
WIlson tallied 10 tackles (six solo), a pass defensed and an interception in Sunday's 42-30 loss to Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
It was Wilson's second double-digit tackle effort on the year, bringing him to 34 on the season. He played 49 snaps (73 percent), which was just seven shy of equaling Alex Singleton for the team lead at linebacker. The Cincinnati product is currently on pace to surpass his career-high of 122 tackles from a year ago with the Vikings.
Sep 21, 2021
Puts up 10 tackles
Wilson posted 10 tackles (five solo) in Sunday's 17-11 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Despite playing just 68 percent of the defensive snaps in Week 2, Wilson was one of three Eagles players to hit double-digit stops. Through two games, he has registered 18 tackles (seven solo). He should be a sturdy IDP option as long as his playing time doesn't drop further.
Sep 14, 2021
Tallies nine tackles
Wilson recorded nine tackles (two solo) in Sunday's 32-6 win over the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Wilson tied with cornerback Avonte Maddox for the team high in tackles during his Eagles debut. With the Vikings last season, Wilson posted 122 tackles, eight pass breakups, three sacks and three interceptions. He has a strong IDP outlook this year as Philadelphia's middle linebacker.
Apr 7, 2021
Heading to Philadelphia
The Eagles are signing Wilson to a one-year, $3.25 million contract, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Wilson was thrust into an every-down role in Minnesota last season after Anthony Barr went down with a pectoral tear, and he utilized his opportunities to rack up 122 total tackles and three interceptions. He'll now join an Eagles linebacker corps in legitimate need of quality depth, and where he could well earn the top interior spot.
Feb 7, 2021
Numerous career highs in 2020
Wilson tallied 122 tackles (62 solo), three sacks, eight pass breakups and three interceptions through his 16 games this season.
ANALYSIS
In his fourth year with Minnesota, Wilson recorded career highs in tackles, interceptions, pass defenses and defensive snaps. It was all made possible by Anthony Barr's pectoral tear from Week 2, which sidelined him for the rest of the season. Wilson is heading into the offseason as an unrestricted free agent.
Dec 9, 2020
Big tackling day
Wilson posted 11 tackles (four solo) and a pass breakup in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win against the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Wilson hit double-digit tackles for the second time this year. With a stranglehold on the starting role because of Anthony Barr's (pectoral) absence, Wilson has capitalized with 90 stops, three sacks, five pass breakups and three interceptions through 12 games. He's second on the team to Eric Kendricks (107) in stops this year.
Nov 17, 2020
Tacks on another sack
Wilson recorded seven tackles (five solo), a sack and a pass breakup in Monday's 19-13 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Wilson was quite impressive yet again, getting good pressure on Nick Foles and remaining active in coverage. He's racked up 61 tackles through nine games, just one shy of a career high, and he's already reached personal bests with 3.5 sacks, four pass breakups and two interceptions. Not bad for a contract year.
Nov 10, 2020
Has 13 total tackles
Wilson had 13 total tackles, 0.5 sacks, a QB hit and a pass defensed in Sunday's win over Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Wilson racked up the tackles as he played on all of the defense's 75 snaps. He started at weak-side linebacker and is getting increased playing time after Anthony Barr was lost for the season in Week 2.
Oct 13, 2020
Making most of expanded role
Wilson had an interception, a sack, two tackles for a loss, three QB hits, a pass defensed and six tackles in Sunday's loss at Seattle.
ANALYSIS
Wilson started at weak-side linebacker and played on all 54 of of the defense's snaps. With Anthony Barr out for the season with a pectoral injury, Wilson is having a larger role and making the most of it. Wilson previously came off the field in nickel and dime packages, but he'll now play alongside Eric Kendricks in almost all formations.
Sep 21, 2020
Role set to increase
Wilson had seven total tackles, a tackle for a loss and one pass defensed in Sunday's loss at Indianapolis.
ANALYSIS
With Anthony Barr out for the season with a pectoral injury, Wilson will see a larger role in the defense. Wilson previously came off the field in nickel and dime packages, but now he'll stay on the field with Eric Kendricks in almost all formations.
Sep 14, 2020
Three tackles Sunday
Wilson started at weak-side linebacker and had three total tackles in Sunday's loss to Green Bay. He played on 44 of the defense's 78 snaps.
ANALYSIS
Wilson's fantasy value is limited as he comes off the field in nickel and dime packages. He didn't help his case Sunday for more time in passing situations as he gave up three receptions on all three passes targeted his way, according to Pro Football Focus.
Mar 16, 2020
Return to Minnesota likely
The Vikings placed a second-round tender on Wilson on Monday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The move signifies that a team must send Minnesota a second-round pick in return if they wish to sign the unrestricted free agent. Wilson established himself as one of the most consistent linebackers for the Vikings in 2019, suiting up in all 16 games and racking up 62 tackles (36 solo) and three sacks. The 25-year-old logged a few starts at the end of the season at linebacker in 2019, and he'll likely assume that role should he stick in Minnesota for 2020.
Jan 15, 2020
Career-high tackles in 2019
Wilson notched 62 tackles (36 solo) across 16 regular-season contests in 2019.
ANALYSIS
Wilson also managed 13 tackles (nine solo) in two playoff games. The 25-year-old is set to become a restricted free agent in March, and his lack of upside as a pass-rusher means he'll remain off the IDP radar for 2020 even if the Vikings re-sign him.
Dec 5, 2019
Practices without limitations
Wilson (shoulder) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Wilson was limited in Wednesday's practice session due to a shoulder issue, but he now looks back to full health. The 25-year-old played only 45 percent of snaps on defense during Week 13's loss to the Seahawks, but he could be in line for a larger workload against the Lions on Sunday now that no injury is holding him back.
Dec 4, 2019
Battling shoulder issue
Wilson (shoulder) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Wilson was expected to slot into a starting role during this past Monday's loss to the Seahawks, but he only logged a 45-percent snap share. It's possible this injury held him back a bit, but the severity is unclear. The team will likely monitor his status closely leading up to Sunday's matchup against the Lions, as he's one of two healthy outside linebackers.
