Renfrow will make his return to the NFL after taking a season off in 2024. The wide receiver most recently reeled in 25 of 37 targets for 255 yards over 17 games with the Raiders in 2023. Renfrow's best campaign came in 2021 when he caught 103 of 128 targets for 1,038 yards and 10 touchdowns with Las Vegas, appearing in the Pro Bowl that season. The 29-year-old is a Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, native and he attended Clemson for college, so he'll now be looking to get his career back on track with what is effectively his hometown team in 2025.

Renfrow, who didn't play at all in 2024 after being released by Las Vegas last March, also visited the Panthers on Wednesday. The 29-year-old wideout spent five seasons with the Raiders from 2019-23, most notably earning a Pro Bowl nod in 2021, when he compiled a career-best 103-1,038-9 receiving line. A reunion with Renfrow could make sense for Las Vegas, as the team is in need of reliable wideouts to surround new quarterback Geno Smith with. The Raiders are releasing Renfrow in a move that will add $8.21 million in 2024 cap space, Ta reports.

The move was seen as inevitable unless Renfrow would agree to a large paycut. He caught 103 passes for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns in 2021 -- his third NFL season -- but then had only 585 yards in 27 games the past two years after signing a three-year, $31.7 million contract. He made it through two seasons of the contract and earned more than $20 million, and he'll now become a free agent a few months after his 28th birthday. Meanwhile, the Raiders have Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker atop their depth chart at wide receiver, with the latter having replaced Renfrow in the No. 3 role at times in 2023.

The Raiders can add $11.8 million in 2024 cap space if they release Renfrow with a post-June 1 designation, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.

Renfrow has just one season left on his contract, but the use of void years means dead-cap charges for 2025 and 2026 will accelerate onto the 2024 sheet if he's traded before June 1 or released without the aforementioned designation. Either way, the Raiders would avoid paying him an $11.53 million base salary, $100,000 workout bonus and up to $629,000 in per-game roster bonuses. It's an obvious move given his lack of production the past two seasons, though there is a scenario in which Renfrow stays in Las Vegas via a renegotiation or extension that drastically lowers his compensation. He's highly unlikely to have a trade market under the terms of the current contract.

Renfrow, who didn't catch a single pass throughout the Raiders' final four games, ended the 2023 season with 25 total receptions for 255 yards on 37 targets in 17 contests.

Renfrow's otherwise disappointing 2023 campaign was highlighted by a three-game stretch within Weeks 11-14 in which he posted a 12-126-0 line on 14 targets, but he promptly saw his playing time dwindle thereafter in favor of rookie Tre Tucker's development behind fellow wideouts Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers. If the team is unable to find a trade partner for Renfrow this offseason, the 28-year-old slot receiver could be a release candidate at a $5.5 million dead cap expense, which would save the Raiders about $8.2 million in cap space.

Renfrow was not targeted in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Colts.

Renfrow has played 12 or less snaps in back-to-back games with rookie Tre Tucker assuming the No. 3 wide receiver role behind Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers. Renfrow logged only 19 of a possible 64 offensive snaps while fellow receivers Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers combined for 11 receptions on 14 total targets. With just six catches for 59 yards through the Raiders' first five games, Renfrow's usage remains entirely underwhelming as a home matchup against the Patriots appears next on the schedule.

Renfrow doubled his previous season high in targets with four looks from fill-in starter Aidan O'Connell on Sunday, but the former has caught just five total passes for 52 yards through the Raiders' first four contests. Renfrow recorded one reception on one target for 23 yards in Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Bills.

Renfrow was projected to see an increased role in the absence of Jakobi Meyers (concussion) sidelined. That didn't come to fruition, however, as the only Raiders pass skill-position players to receive more than three targets were Davante Adams and Josh Jacobs. After failing to command a target in Week 1, Renfrow seems to face an uphill battle to be a consistent contributor to the offense in 2023.

Renfrow could be poised for a larger role Sunday in Buffalo, as Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports that Jakobi Meyers (concussion) has been ruled out.

Meyers was concussed late in the 17-16 Week 1 win over the Broncos after catching nine of 10 targets for 81 yards and two touchdowns, while Renfrow wasn't targeted in that game. Vegas doesn't have much depth at wide receiver, so Meyers' absence should lead to more opportunities for Renfrow in the slot while No. 4 receiver DeAndre Carter could step in on the outside opposite Davante Adams. "Jakobi's a really good football player and, so, if he's not available then everybody has to step up and give themselves great opportunities to produce, and that's a good thing for them," coach Josh McDaniels said, per Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com. Considering Renfrow had a 1,000-yard season in 2021, his track record suggests he's the player most capable of stepping up for the duration of Meyers' absence.

Renfrow was not targeted in the Raiders' 17-16 win over the Broncos on Sunday.

Renfrow was not only overshadowed by fellow receivers Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers in the season opener, but the former logged just 13 offensive snaps, and even DeAndre Carter caught a pass on the Raiders' final drive. However, Meyers left the contest late with a head injury, so he'll be subject to the league's concussion protocol ahead of a Week 2 matchup in Buffalo. If Meyers is unable to go, Renfrow could handle a majority of the slot opportunities against the Bills.

General manager Dave Ziegler said he's "seen a lot of good stuff" from Renfrow (shoulder) during training camp, Anthony Galaviz of The Fresno Bee reports.

"It's been great to seen him feel great, playing great and ecstatic to see that development," Ziegler added. Renfrow was the subject of trade speculation earlier in the offseason and has barely been heard from this summer. He and Jakobi Meyers feel redundant as slot receivers, but the Raiders seemingly have a plan. Renfrow's fantasy start-ability is unlikely to return in 2023 if he's in Las Vegas.

Renfrow has yet to play this preseason due to the shoulder issue. Coming off a down 2022 in new coach Josh McDaniels' scheme, it's unclear what kind of role Renfrow is going to have this season following the additions of Jakobi Meyers and Phillip Dorsett in free agency and Tre Tucker in the third round of the 2023 Draft. Renfrow was the subject of trade rumors earlier in the offseason.

There had been some speculation that the slot man might be traded this offseason, but Reed notes that nothing is imminent on that front. History says Renfrow will turn his future targets into better production than this, but he'll still need to step up better against the Titans in Week 3.

Renfrow had seen a significant decline in volume across his last two games, combining to record only eight targets. The highlight came on an 11-yard touchdown reception early in the fourth quarter, though it also appeared that he had a 48-yard touchdown later in the game that was ultimately overturned on review. Renfrow came back down to earth after catching 30 passes over the previous three games, as the Browns made a concerted effort to cover him and make other Raiders receivers beat them. Both of the incomplete passes thrown Renfrow's way were end zone targets. Expect him to regain a larger role in Week 16 against the Broncos.

Renfrow and the Raiders will no longer play the Browns on Saturday, after the NFL officially rescheduled the matchup between the two teams for Monday at 5 p.m. ET.

Due to ongoing COVID-19-related issues within the Cleveland organization, the NFL is hopeful that by delaying the game two days, the Browns will restore enough players from the reserve/COVID-19 list to alleviate depth concerns on the roster. Assuming the Week 15 game is played Monday as planned, Renfrow and Las Vegas will face a quick turnaround for its Week 16 contest versus the Broncos, which is still expected to be played Sunday, Dec. 26 as scheduled.

Renfrow was the lone bright spot for the Las Vegas offense, and he racked up a career-high number of targets and receptions. As has been the case, he didn't do his damage deep, instead settling into soft spots in the defense underneath. The result has been that he's logged at least seven catches in six of his last seven games while also topping 100 receiving yards in each of his last three contests. Renfrow capped his performance with a four-yard touchdown, the Raiders lone trip to the end zone on the day.

The third-year slot man continues to reap the benefits of being the only healthy receiving option Derek Carr trusts, as Renfrow hit triple digits in yards for the second straight game. Even if Darren Waller (knee) is able to return to action, Renfrow should remain very busy in his new No, 1 role against Kansas City in Week 14.

Renfrow caught eight of nine targets for 134 yards in a 36-33 overtime win over the Cowboys on Thanksgiving.

He also gained two yards on his only carry. Renfrow was Derek Carr's favorite target on the day, especially once tight end Darren Waller (knee) was forced to exit, and the third-year slot receiver not only set a season high in catches, he established a new single-game personal best in yards while also setting new career highs for receptions (64) and receiving yards (658) on the year, in only 11 games. If Waller misses additional time or isn't 100 percent, Renfrow figures to be Carr's top option again in Week 13 against Washington.

The targets and receiving yards were season lows for the slot man, who has taken on a much bigger role in the Raiders' passing game in recent weeks, but the Las Vegas offense simply didn't see a lot of the ball on the afternoon. Renfrow will look to rebound in a Thanksgiving Day clash with the Cowboys.

The Bengals' 23rd-ranked pass defense is on tap for Week 11.

Renfrow caught five of six targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-28 overtime win over the Dolphins.

Six different Raiders caught between three and five passes and saw between five and seven targets as Derek Carr spread the ball around very effectively, but Renfrow was the only one of the group to get into the end zone as he fought his way through traffic after the catch on a 12-yard TD in the third quarter. The slot receiver has caught at least five passes in three straight games to begin the season, and Renfrow stands a good chance of extending that streak Week 4 in a potential barnburner against the Chargers on Monday night.

Renfrow caught five of seven targets for 57 yards Sunday in the Raiders' 26-17 win over the Steelers. He also returned two punts for 26 yards.

Renfrow has yet to find the end zone, but he's recorded 11 total receptions for 127 yards on 16 targets through the first two weeks of the season despite logging less than 30 offensive snaps in Pittsburgh on Sunday. The slot receiver is already pacing the Raiders' WR corps in targets, but quarterback Derek Carr could be forced to rely on Renfrow more often against the Dolphins in Week 3 as cornerbacks Xavien Howard and Byron Jones attempt to blanket Henry Ruggs and Bryan Edwards on the outside.

Renfrow caught six of nine targets for 70 yards during Sunday's 33-27 win over the Ravens.

Renfrow finished second on the team in targets and third on the team in receiving yards. He also drew two very critical pass interference calls on two different trips to the red zone. The savvy route runner continues to be a solid contributor, but his upside is limited due to his lack of big plays and red zone targets.

Renfrow did not play in Saturday's 17-16 preseason win over the Rams as the Raiders also were without fellow wide receivers Henry Ruggs, Bryan Edwards and John Brown.

Renfrow's role is essentially solidified as the Raiders' starting slot receiver ahead of Week 1, so the team hasn't risked his health while a majority of the first stringers have been kept to the sideline through two preseason contests. The Clemson product impressed in a joint practice with the Rams last Wednesday, however, reportedly torching All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey on multiple occasions as The Athletic's Vic Tafur noted.

Renfrow caught three passes for 24 yards on seven targets in Sunday's 32-31 win over the Broncos, bringing his season totals to 56 catches for 656 yards and two scores on 77 targets in 16 games. He also added 265 yards on 23 punt returns with a long of 32.

Renfrow's 56 receptions paced the Raiders' corps of wide receivers, which doesn't include tight end Darren Waller nearly doubling the slot man with 107 catches (on 145 targets) of his own. Renfrow, who led the Raiders in red-zone receptions as a rookie, saw his touchdown count sliced in half this season while the aforementioned Waller and Nelson Agholor combined for 17 trips to the end zone. With two years remaining on his rookie contract, Renfrow figures to continue his development in Las Vegas alongside Henry Ruggs (concussion) and Bryan Edwards.

Renfrow secured all five of his targets for 34 yards, adding five punt returns for 61 yards during Saturday's 26-25 loss to Miami.

Renfrow posted 32 and 19-yard punt returns during the Week 16 defeat, with the former helping Las Vegas to its first touchdown of the contest at the 8:25 mark of the first quarter. The 25-year-old's five targets, meanwhile, tied him for third on the team behind Nelson Agholor and Darren Waller, who each enjoyed significantly more explosive offensive nights with receiving outputs of 155 yards and 112 yards, respectively. Agholor notched the Raiders' lone receiving score of Week 16, while Renfrow carries an eight-game scoring drought into a season finale against the Broncos.

Renfrow (concussion) doesn't carry an injury designation for Saturday night's game against the Dolphins after practicing fully Wednesday and Thursday.

Renfrow, who was forced out of last Thursday's game against the Chargers after just 13 snaps on offense, has thus gained medical clearance to suit up this weekend. While his ceiling in standard fantasy formats is modest, Renfrow retains some utility in PRR leagues, having logged a 48/598/2 stat line through 14 games to date.

Renfrow (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

The Raiders haven't yet announced that Renfrow is out of the league's five-step concussion protocol, but at the very least the veteran slot man is making tangible progress. He appears to be trending in the right direction for Saturday's home game against the Dolphins.

Raiders head coach Jon Gruden said Renfrow (concussion) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.

Renfrow was diagnosed with a concussion after exiting in the second half of the Raiders' Week 15 loss to the Chargers, but his ability to practice in some fashion to begin Week 16 implies progress as he navigates the NFL's five-step protocol for head injuries. The wideout will look to upgrade to full activity and gain clearance from independent neurologist ahead of Saturday's game against the Dolphins.

Renfrow (concussion) has been ruled out to return to Thursday's game against the Chargers.

Renfrow was evaluated for a concussion late in the third quarter, and it seems as though he's now entered the league's five-step protocol for such injuries. With quarterback Derek Carr (groin) also ruled out for the rest of Thursday's game, backup Marcus Mariota will now also have to make do without his main slot receiver.

Renfrow is being evaluated for a concussion and questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Chargers.

Renfrow was forced off the field in the third quarter after suffering a late hit while attempting to bring back a punt. He secured one of two targets for four yards before exiting Thursday's game. With Henry Ruggs (undisclosed) already sidelined on the COVID list, Bryan Edwards and Zay Jones could see increased opportunities if Renfrow can't return.

Renfrow caught five passes for 38 yards on seven targets and returned one punt for 11 yards in Sunday's 44-27 loss to the Colts, but he also lost a fumble.

Renfrow's costly fumble came with the Raiders already down two scores in the fourth quarter, ultimately clinching a victory for the Colts. Nonetheless, Renfrow has been dealt six or more targets in three consecutive contests, averaging 5.3 catches per game during this stretch. He'll look to stay busy on Thursday Night Football this week against the Chargers.

Renfrow caught four of six targets for 47 yards in Sunday's 31-28 win over the Jets.

Renfrow wasn't heavily involved even though quarterback Derek Carr threw for 381 yards and three touchdowns, as more than half of that production went to tight end Darren Waller. The slot receiver has topped 30 yards in 10 of his last 11 games but has topped 60 yards only twice this season, as his role in the Raiders' offense remains steady but unspectacular ahead of a Week 14 matchup with the Colts.

Renfrow reeled in seven of nine targets for a team-high 73 receiving yards during Sunday's 43-6 loss to the Falcons.

Renfrow was Derek Carr's busiest pass-catcher Sunday, out-targeting tight end Darren Waller by two. That's noteworthy given that Waller entered the game with 83 targets on the season, more than double the amount of Las Vegas' No. 2 option, Renfrow (41). With only one outing of more than 60 receiving yards on the year coming into Sunday, Renfrow had demonstrated a limited ceiling in fantasy. He has a chance at consecutive lucrative outings with a Week 13 matchup against the Jets' 30th-ranked pass defense approaching.

Renfrow caught two passes on as many targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 35-31 loss to the Chiefs. He also returned a pair of punts for a total of 11 yards.

Renfrow has now recorded at least two receptions in five consecutive games since the Raiders' Week 6 bye, but Nelson Agholor and Darren Waller continue to flash more fantasy upside in the Raiders' aerial attack. Renfrow will hope to take advantage of a beatable Falcons secondary in Week 12 as the Raiders travel to Atlanta.

Renfrow caught both of his targets for 30 receiving yards, adding three punt-return attempts for 20 yards during Sunday's 37-12 win against the Broncos.

Renfrow flashed with a 25-yard reception on Las Vegas' opening drive of the afternoon, and he also had an electrifying 29-yard punt return called off because of a holding penalty on teammate Keisean Nixon. The Clemson product added a 16-yard punt return that would stand, rounding out a solid day on special teams. It was a quiet afternoon from the second-year man on the offensive side, as was the case for the entire Raiders passing-catching group, with zero touchdowns being scored via the air and no players exceeding 40 receiving yards. A Week 11 matchup with the defending champion Chiefs calls for a more pass-heavy game script.

Renfrow caught two of three targets for 60 yards in Sunday's 31-26 win over the Chargers.

His 53-yard grab in the third quarter set up a Darren Waller touchdown, and wound up making Renfrow the Raiders' leader in receiving yards on the afternoon. The second-year slot receiver isn't getting a lot of volume, seeing four targets or less in five of eight games so far this year, but he's earned the trust of Derek Carr. He could be more involved in Week 10 against a Broncos defense that's been stingier on the ground than through the air.

Renfrow corralled all four of his targets for 26 receiving yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 16-6 win against the Browns.

Renfrow has been somewhat of a high-floor option of late, with four or more catches in four of his five appearances since Week 3. The second-year pro has also averaged 50.2 receiving yards per game during that span, hauling in his only TDs of 2020 in Weeks 3 and 8. Renfrow, Henry Ruggs and Darren Waller were the only Raiders with at least four targets Sunday, as the young pass-catching trio now shifts focus to a Week 9 intradivisional clash against the Chargers.

Renfrow caught four of six targets for 42 yards in Sunday's 45-20 loss to the Buccaneers.

Renfrow was back on quarterback Derek Carr's radar following the team's bye, having been targeted just once in Week 5 at Kansas City. The Clemson product will now face a Browns secondary that just gave up over 400 passing yards in a close win over the Bengals on Sunday.

Renfrow caught his only target for 42 yards in Sunday's 40-32 win over the Chiefs.

Renfrow's 42-yard reception on third and long in the fourth quarter was crucial for the Raiders' upset victory, but the one-catch performance disappointed fantasy managers after he racked up 17 total targets in Weeks 3 and 4. Fellow receiver Bryan Edwards (ankle/foot) has a chance to return Week 7 following the team's bye, but his potential availability might not have much of an affect on Renfrow's workload in the slot.

Aside from an acrobatic 37-yard reception down the sideline late in the contest, Renfrow was held in check despite the absences of fellow receivers Henry Ruggs (knee/hamstring) and Bryan Edwards (ankle). Nonetheless, quarterback Derek Carr has thrown a total of 17 passes at Renfrow throughout the Raiders' past two games, and the slot man could continue to see additional looks if the aforementioned rookie duo remains sidelined in Week 5 at Kansas City.

Renfrow looks in line to lead the Raiders' receiving corps during Sunday's game against the Bills, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.

Renfrow is the leading candidate to serve as Las Vegas' No. 1 receiver with Henry Ruggs (hamstring) doubtful and Bryan Edwards (ankle) ruled out. Nelson Agholor and Zay Jones also stand to start in three-wide sets, assuming Ruggs sits out, while Josh Jacobs and Darren Waller could take on even more focal roles on offense. Renfrow had a team-high 84 yards and a touchdown against New England in Week 3, and he should get the opportunity to log another productive day versus Buffalo.

Renfrow caught six of nine targets for a team-high 84 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 36-20 loss to New England.

Renfrow appeared to have scored a 27-yard touchdown late in the first half but was ruled down on the 1-yard line. He got his touchdown after all from 13 yards out with 1:54 left in the fourth quarter and was the only Raiders receiver to top 50 yards. Darren Waller (knee) and Josh Jacobs (hip) played through injuries, while Henry Ruggs (knee/hamstring) sat this one out and Bryan Edwards left the game with an ankle injury, so Renfrow is Las Vegas' healthiest regular skill position player heading into a Week 4 matchup with the Bills.

Renfrow caught all three of his targets for 37 receiving yards during Monday's 34-24 win against the Saints.

Renfrow recorded two receptions that spanned 15-plus yards, with one coming on the Raiders' first touchdown drive of the game in the early-second quarter, and the other on Las Vegas' TD drive in the fourth quarter. Tight end Darren Waller completely dominated the pass-catching workload in attracting 16 targets on the night, while not another Raider finished above three. Even with Derek Carr having thrown to a 73.5 percent completion rate and a 4:0 TD:INT, Renfrow has so far been a low-volume option in the passing game. If a breakout performance were to come for Renfrow Week 3 against New England, it may come via red-zone usage, as he finished second on the team in red-zone looks last year with 10.

Renfrow hauled in two receptions on two targets for a total of 21 yards in Week 1 against Carolina.

Renfrow was overshadowed by a number of options in the passing attack, including both Henry Ruggs and Darren Waller. He did manage to haul in both of his opportunities, one for 11 yards and the other 10. Without volume, Renfrow lacks fantasy upside due to his usage primarily in short yardage pass attempts. He and the Raiders will square off against the Saints in Week 2.

Though the Raiders added a pair of wide receivers in the 2020 draft, Tashan Reed of the Athletic believes that Renfrow will still man the slot in the team's offense this season.

The Raiders added Henry Ruggs the first round and Bryan Edwards in Round 3 of this past April's draft, with an eye toward adding offensive playmakers to complement returnees like Renfrow, Tyrell Williams and Zay Jones, as well as free-agent addition Nelson Agholor. Renfrow, who finished the 2019 season with 49 catches for 605 yards and four TDs in 13 games, will no doubt have plenty of competition for targets this year, but as long as he's the team's preferred slot option, he should be able to retain a decent floor in PPR formats.

Renfrow (rib) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Chargers after practicing fully Friday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.

Renfrow, who has missed the Raiders' last three games, is slated to re-join the team's pass-catching and punt return mix Week 16. Prior to suffering his rib injury, Renfrow made a fantasy mark in PPR formats while operating as the Raiders' slot man, compiling a 36-296-2 stat line through 11 contests. He'll look to pick up where he left off against a Chargers squad that has dropped four if its last five outings

Coach Jon Gruden confirmed Monday that Renfrow suffered a rib injury Sunday that will keep the receiver out for "a while," ESPN's Paul Gutierrez reports.

Though Gruden didn't to go into the specifics of the rookie's injury or relay a recovery timetable, he did acknowledge that Renfrow's season may over. Meanwhile, NFL Network reported that the 2019 fifth-rounder suffered a broken rib and punctured lung in Sunday's loss to the Jets. In Renfrow's absence, Gruden indicated that the likes of Keelan Doss and Zay Jones or tight ends Darren Waller and Derek Carrier would be candidates to pick up added snaps out of the slot.

Renfrow is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Jets due to a ribs injury.

Renfrow exited Sunday's contest midway through the third quarter. The rookie caught three of five targets for 31 yards before leaving the field. As long as Renfrow remains sidelined, Trevor Davis and Marcell Ateman could see increased depth roles.

Renfrow is a candidate for extra targets in Sunday's Week 5 tilt against the Bears in London with fellow wideouts Tyrell Williams (foot), J.J. Nelson (knee) and Dwayne Harris (ankle) all declared inactive for the contest.

The rookie had seen his snap counts trend downward over the last two games, but he's set for a nice bump in workload in London. With the trio of veteran receivers sitting out the contest, the wideout corps will be helmed by Renfrow, Keelan Doss and Trevor Davis, although the trio will be tasked with facing a ferocious Bears defense.

Renfrow could be in line for additional targets in a Week 4 tilt against the Colts with fellow wideouts J.J. Nelson (coach's decision) and Dwayne Harris (ankle) declared inactive for the contest.

The rookie has had a modest, low-upside role through the first three games, securing nine of 15 targets for 71 yards. However, Renfrow could be in for a boost in targets Sunday due to simple attrition at his position, although he's likely to still be primarily utilized in the possession role he's filled thus far.
