Leads tight ends in snaps
FitzPatrick was targeted once and caught one pass for five yards in Sunday's 27-20 victory over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
It may not be obvious in the box score, but FitzPatrick was credited with his first career start Sunday, and he wound up playing 16 more snaps than fellow tight end Luke Musgrave, who it was assumed would take over as Green Bay's top option at the position with Tucker Kraft (knee) out for the season. It remains to be seen how the playing time will be divided among the two -- as well as Josh Whyle, who scored in Week 11 -- moving forward, but none are particularly appealing fantasy options at this point.

Finishes without target
FitzPatrick was not targeted in Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick played 18 snaps in Week 9 but did not have a pass thrown his direction for the third time in five games. He will likely be more involved moving forward with fellow tight end Tucker Kraft (knee) out for the season, but just how much remains to be seen, and he presumably remains the second option at his position behind Luke Musgrave.

Notches short reception in win
FitzPatrick corralled his lone target for a four-yard reception Sunday in the Packers' 35-25 win over the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick took the field for 22 of the Packers' 64 offensive snaps, with his 34 percent share placing him ahead of Luke Musgrave (19 percent) for second among the team's tight ends. Starter Tucker Kraft continued to lead the way in both playing time (59 snaps) and production (7-143-2 receiving line on nine targets) by a healthy margin, and so long as Kraft stays healthy, FitzPatrick won't have much of an opportunity to see his role on offense expand.

All set for Week 4
FitzPatrick (groin) was a full participant at practice Friday, Aaron Nagler of Cheesehead TV reports.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick was limited at practice to open the week due to an apparent groin issue, but he now appears to be a full go for Sunday Night Football in Dallas. The tight end has caught all three of his targets for 14 yards and a touchdown over three games this season.
Sep 24, 2025
Limited at practice
FitzPatrick (groin) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick reeled in two passes for 12 yards and a touchdown in the team's 13-10 loss to the Browns in Week 3, but he may have suffered a groin injury in the game. The tight end's ability to practice in any capacity Wednesday is a positive sign, and he'll have two more chances to practice in full ahead of Sunday night's contest in Dallas.
Sep 22, 2025
Tallies first touchdown
FitzPatrick was targeted twice and caught two passes for 12 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 13-10 loss to the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Starting tight end Tucker Kraft filled his usual role in Week 3 despite an injury scare a few days prior, but FitzPatrick still managed to find the end zone for the first time as a professional. FitzPatrick and fellow tight end Luke Musgrave have relatively split the snaps behind Kraft, and barring a setback for the starter that will likely continue.

Fills third tight end spot
FitzPatrick was targeted once and caught one pass for two yards in Sunday's 27-13 victory over the Lions.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick was activated rather than fellow tight end Ben Sims and served as the third option at his position behind Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave. FitzPatrick played only two fewer snaps than Musgrave, but chances are he will remain in a bit role as long as the two players ahead of him are available.

Returns to Green Bay
The Packers signed FitzPatrick to a contract on Monday, NFL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick entered the offseason as a restricted free agent but wasn't tendered by Green Bay, and he now re-signs with the team. Across nine regular-season appearances with the Packers in 2024, the tight end secured his only target for two yards. He contributed as a blocker on the majority of his 69 offensive snaps.

Fits in with Packers
FitzPatrick was targeted once and caught one pass for two yards across nine games in the 2024 season.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick got some opportunities after being scooped off Atlanta's practice squad in October, but he wound up playing only 69 snaps on offense and was an afterthought in the passing game. It remains to be seen if Green Bay will retain FitzPatrick over the offseason, but if they do he will compete for a roster spot during training camp.

Ready for Thursday night
FitzPatrick (back) has no injury designation ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the Lions, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick practiced in full Tuesday and Wednesday, suggesting he's recovered from his back injury in time to face Detroit on Thursday night. The Georgia product is expected to see minimal offensive work and serve as the Packers' No. 3 tight end in Week 14, playing behind Tucker Kraft and Ben Sims.
Dec 3, 2024
Appears past back injury
FitzPatrick (back) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick played through a back injury in the Packers' Week 13 over the Dolphins this past Thursday, finishing with one catch for two yards while playing 18 snaps (14 on offense, four on special teams). He was limited in Monday's practice, but after logging a full session Tuesday he should be good to go for Thursday's NFC North clash against the Lions.
Dec 2, 2024
Still nursing back injury
FitzPatrick (back) was a limited participant in Monday's practice.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old was active for the Packers' Week 13 win over the Dolphins after being listed as questionable due to a back injury. Monday's injury report indicates that FitzPatrick is still dealing with the issue in some capacity, and he could be in jeopardy of missing Green Bay's divisional matchup against the Lions on Thursday night if he downgrades to no participation Tuesday or Wednesday.
Nov 28, 2024
Will play Thursday
FitzPatrick (back) is active for Thursday's game against the Dolphins, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick was in danger of missing Thursday's game after logging consecutive DNPs to open the week, but he will be active after participating in Wednesday's walkthrough in a limited capacity. FitzPatrick will serve as the Packers' No. 3 tight end behind Tucker Kraft and Ben Sims.
Nov 27, 2024
Could play in Week 13
FitzPatrick (back) is listed as questionable ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the Dolphins, Wes Hodklewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick was estimated as a limited participant in Wednesday's walkthrough, keeping his chances alive to suit up Thursday night. The third-year pro from Georgia has seen minimal offensive work this season, appearing in four games and catching his lone target for two yards. If he's unavailable in Week 13, Green Bay's tight end room will likely consist of Tucker Kraft and Ben Sims.
Nov 26, 2024
Doesn't practice Tuesday
FitzPatrick (back) did not participate in Tuesday's practice, Bill Huber of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick has logged consecutive DNPs to open the week, and he'll have to practice in at least a limited capacity Wednesday in order to have a chance at playing Thursday against the Dolphins. The 2022 sixth-round pick played 18 snaps (14 on offense, four on special teams) during the Packers' 38-10 win over the 49ers this past Sunday and hauled in his lone target for two yards.
Oct 20, 2024
Inactive again
FitzPatrick (coach's decision) is listed as inactive ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Cardinals, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official website reports.
ANALYSIS
Green Bay will roll with Tucker Kraft and Ben Sims as its only two active tight ends. FitzPatrick landed in Green Bay prior to Week 6 after Luke Musgrave (ankle) was placed on injured reserve, but he has yet to suit up.
Oct 13, 2024
Won't play Week 6
FitzPatrick (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against Arizona.
ANALYSIS
The Packers signed FitzPatrick off Atlanta's practice squad Thursday, but the tight end isn't yet ready to suit up for his new club. Green Bay will enter Sunday's contest with Tucker Kraft leading the tight-end corps, with Ben Sims working behind him. Luke Musgrave (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Friday, so FitzPatrick could be active next Sunday when the Packers take on Houston.
Oct 10, 2024
Moves to Green Bay
The Packers signed Fitzpatrick off the Falcons' practice squad and to their active roster Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick will bolster Green Bay's depth at tight end while Luke Musgrave continues to tend to an ankle injury. The former was selected in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft by Atlanta but didn't appear in a game for the team until 2023, when he suited up nine times, catching his only target for a 12-yard gain.
Aug 29, 2024
Retained by team
FitzPatrick signed with the Falcons' practice squad on Wednesday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick appeared in nine regular-season games with Atlanta last season, but he only saw one target, which was caught for 12 yards. He'll now work to find his way back to the team's 53-man roster.
Aug 27, 2024
Cut by Falcons
FitzPatrick was waived by the Falcons on Tuesday, Terrin Waack of the team's official website reports.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick reeled in six catches for 33 yards on nine targets in the preseason after appearing in nine games with Atlanta in 2023. If the wide receiver clears waivers, his most likely next step would be joining the Falcons' practice squad ahead of the 2024 campaign.
Dec 31, 2023
Won't play at Chicago
FitzPatrick (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game at Chicago, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick will miss his third straight game in Week 17. In his absence, MyCole Pruitt and Tucker Fisk will continue to operate as Atlanta's depth tight ends behind Kyle Pitts and Jonnu Smith.
Dec 24, 2023
Stays sidelined
FitzPatrick (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Colts.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick has been a healthy scratch multiple times this season and has almost exclusively been a special teams contributor when active. MyCole Pruitt and Tucker Fisk will operate as the Falcons' depth tight ends behind Kyle Pitts and Jonnu Smith in Week 16.
Dec 17, 2023
Healthy scratch
FitzPatrick (coach's decision) will not play in Sunday's game versus the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick's absence will mark his third game missed in four weeks. As a result, Tucker Fisk will be bumped up to No. 4 on Atlanta's tight end depth chart.
Dec 3, 2023
Sitting out Sunday
FitzPatrick (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Jets, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick will watch from the sidelines for the second straight week. The Georgia product has appeared in seven games this season, mostly seeing special teams work and never saw a target on his seven offensive snaps.
Nov 26, 2023
Won't play Sunday
FitzPatrick (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Saints, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick will be sidelined for Week 12 after appearing in each of the last three games the Falcons have played. The second-year pro has really only contributed on special teams this season, seeing just seven snaps on offense without a target. His next opportunity to take the field will be Week 13 against the Jets.
Oct 15, 2023
Unavailable Sunday
FitzPatrick (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick was active for the previous four games, but he played primarily on special teams. In his absence, Kyle Pitts, Jonnu Smith and MyCole Pruitt are the only active tight ends for Atlanta on Sunday.
Sep 10, 2023
Won't play Sunday
FitzPatrick (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Panthers, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
The Falcons called up Parker Hesse from the practice squad Saturday. FitzPatrick will have to wait until Week 2 against the Packers for his first action of the 2023 season.
Aug 31, 2023
Makes 53-man roster
The Falcons have opted to carry four tight ends on their 53-man roster including FitzPatrick, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick missed his entire rookie campaign in 2022 due to reoccurring foot issues. He ultimately overcame two surgeries and returned in time for OTAs in June. The big-bodied tight end does not project a ton of fantasy value, as he is primarily seen as a blocking option for Atlanta's run-heavy offense.
May 30, 2023
Returns to OTAs
FitzPatrick (undisclosed) was spotted participating in team drills Wednesday, May 24, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
After missing the entire 2022 NFL season with an undisclosed injury, the big-bodied tight end is back on the field with no restrictions. FitzPatrick was a 2022 sixth-round pick by Atlanta and is expected to compete with Feleipe Franks and Parker Hesse for a depth role on the 53-man roster.
Dec 20, 2022
Designated to return
The Falcons designated FitzPatrick (undisclosed) to return from injured reserve Tuesday, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
FitzPartick has been on Atlanta's injured reserve since the beginning of September due to an undisclosed injury, but Tuesday now marks the start of his 21-day window for the team to activate him back to their active roster. With Kyle Pitts (knee) now done for the year, the Falcons could give rookie tight end some extra snaps down the stretch alongside Parker Hesse, MyCole Pruitt and Anthony Firkser.
Sep 2, 2022
Heads to IR
The Falcons placed FitzPatrick (undisclosed) on injured reserve Thursday, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick was limited during minicamp due to an undisclosed issue but was healthy during training camp, though he didn't appear in the preseason finale after suiting up for each of the Falcons' first two exhibition games. The extent of his current issue remains unclear, but the rookie sixth-round pick will be forced to miss at least the first four games of the regular season after landing on IR.
Jul 31, 2022
Active at camp
FitzPatrick (undisclosed) is taking part in training camp, Matt Urben of Falcons Wire reports.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick was limited during minicamp, but appears to be fully active for training camp. Selected in the sixth round out of Georgia in the 2021 Draft, Fitzpatrick is an Atlanta native who's blocking skills caught the Falcons' eyes last year.
Jun 14, 2022
Limited during minicamp
FitzPatrick was limited during Tuesday's mandatory minicamp due to an undisclosed injury, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick was drafted by the Falcons in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but his pro career is off to a rocky start. The 6-foot-7 tight end caught 17 passes for 200 yards and a touchdown during his final collegiate season at Georgia.
Apr 30, 2022
Interesting fit in Atlanta
The Falcons selected FitzPatrick in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 213th overall.
ANALYSIS
FitzPatrick (6-foot-7, 262 pounds) played 38 games (13 starts) for Georgia over three seasons but managed to record just 17 receptions for 200 yards and a touchdown. He's an interesting pick for Atlanta, especially if his blocking skills translate to the NFL level. The Falcons aren't very deep at wide receiver, so FitzPatrick may be called upon to handle the inline blocking while fellow tight end Kyle Pitts lines up outside more frequently.
