Williams is active for Sunday's game against the Panthers.

The 30-year-old weakside linebacker logged 22 defensive snaps in the Week 9 loss to the Rams where he totaled three tackles (two solo) including 1.0 sacks. He will likely be placed in the same defensive role against the Panthers as a rotational outside linebacker.

Williams signed with the Saints' active roster Saturday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Williams didn't make the 53-man roster out of training camp, but he was elevated from the practice squad for the Week 1 loss versus the Cardinals, where he played 12 defensive snaps and recorded one tackle. The 30-year-old defensive end figures to handle a similar role in Week 2 versus the 49ers.

Williams signed a contract with the Saints on Friday, John Hendrix of AthlonSports.com reports.

Williams played for three separate teams in 2024, suiting up for eight games with the Rams, one game with the Vikings and two contests with the Lions. He'll work to carve out a consistent reserve role along the Saints' defensive line.

Williams was signed off the Rams' practice squad to the Lions' active roster Saturday.

Williams has appeared in seven games this season (six with the Rams, one with the Vikings) and has accrued three tackles (one solo). He'll provide the Lions with much needed depth at defensive end.

The Rams released Williams on Tuesday.

Williams played in three of the Rams' last four games and registered one tackle over that span. Williams will look to catch on with a team in need of depth at defensive end.

The Rams signed Williams off the Vikings' practice squad to the active roster Friday.

The move adds depth to the Rams' defensive line after Larrell Murchison was placed on injured reserve for the second time this season Friday due to a broken foot. Williams spent the first three years of his NFL career with the Rams, but he opted to sign a one-year deal with the Vikings in March. He was unable to make Minnesota's 53-man roster at the end of training camp, but he opted to stick around on the practice squad and was elevated for Week 2 against San Francisco. Williams is back in Los Angeles, and because he was signed off a different team's practice squad, he is required to remain on the Rams' active roster for at least the next three games.

Williams has agreed to sign a contract with the Vikings, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Williams visited Minnesota on Monday, and it did not take long for him to come to terms on a contract. The 28-year-old spent his first three seasons with the Rams and accumulated 49 tackles (20 solo) during the 2023 campaign.

Williams logged 49 tackles (20 solo), 2.0 sacks and one pass defended during the 2023 regular season over 17 games played.

Williams saw his snap count uptick slightly from 2022, but he turned into a run-stuffing surprise for the Rams and logged a career high in tackles, notched his first career pass defense and quintupled his career sack total in the process. Williams is a restricted free agent but showed enough that the Rams may choose to bring him back for a fourth season with the team.

Williams was restored to the Rams' practice squad Wednesday.

Williams was placed on the Rams' reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of Week 15 and was unable to practice over the past week. The defensive end will look to get back in rhythm with the practice squad as the Rams prepare for their Week 16 matchup.

Williams is vaccinated according to head coach Sean McVay, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports. Williams started the season in a rotational role on the Rams' defensive line but was waived in early November. He ultimately returned to the organization on Nov. 9, signing with the practice squad where he has been ever since.
