Good to go against Denver
Clark (elbow) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Broncos, Patrik Walker of the Cowboys' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark practiced in full Friday following back-to-back limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday. On the season, Clark has piled up 15 tackles (six solo), including 1.5 sacks, and four QB hits on 65 percent of the defensive snaps.
Oct 22, 2025
Limited Wednesday
Clark (elbow) turned in a limited practice Wednesday, Clarence Hill Jr. of AllDLLS.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark suffered an elbow injury in Sunday's win over the Commanders, and he was unable to return. His ability to practice in any capacity Wednesday is a positive, but his status for the Cowboys' Week 8 matchup against the Broncos is unclear.
Oct 19, 2025
Questionable to return Sunday
Clark (elbow) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Commanders, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark suffered an elbow injury in the second half, and his status for the rest of the game is now uncertain. In his absence, Solomon Thomas will stand to see an increase in workload at defensive tackle versus Washington.
Sep 24, 2025
Logs full practice Wednesday
Clark (ankle) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark did not return to Sunday's 31-14 loss to the Bears after suffering an ankle injury in the second half, finishing with one assisted tackle while playing 34 defensive snaps. However, Clark's absence from Wednesday's practice report indicates that the 2016 first-rounder will play in Sunday's contest against the Packers, who traded him to the Cowboys along with two first-round picks in exchange for Micah Parsons in late August.
Sep 21, 2025
Questionable to return Sunday
Clark (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Bears, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark sustained an ankle injury in the second half of the game, and his availability for the rest of the contest is now uncertain. In his absence, Osa Odighizuwa and Solomon Thomas will handle the bulk of the action at defensive tackle.
Sep 15, 2025
Racks up first sack with Dallas
Clark recorded four tackles, including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's 40-37 overtime win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
The former Packer racked up his first sack as a Cowboy when he brought down Russell Wilson just before halftime, helping to force a Giants punt. Clark has looked good through two games in the middle of the Dallas defensive line, collecting nine tackles (four solo), and he appears fully recovered from the foot issue that limited his production in 2024.
Sep 5, 2025
Tallies five tackles in team debut
Clark logged five tackles (two solo) during the Cowboys' 24-20 loss to the Eagles on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Clark made his first appearance in a Cowboys' jersey Thursday after being traded by the Packers in a package that returned Micah Parsons (back). Clark got the start at defensive tackle and played a key role in limiting Saquon Barkley to just 60 rushing yards on 18 carries. Clark will have additional time to acclimate to the Cowboys' defensive playbook ahead of their Week 2 matchup against the Giants on Sunday, Sept. 14.
Sep 4, 2025
Set for Dallas debut
Clark will start at defensive tackle alongside Osa Odighizuwa in the Cowboys' regular-season opener against the Eagles on Thursday, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark was packaged with two first-round picks as part of the Packers' acquisition of Micah Parsons (back) from the Cowboys on Aug. 28. With Mazi Smith (coach's decision) a healthy scratch, Clark should see a heavy dose of defensive snaps in his Dallas debut and will be responsible for plugging up running lanes and limiting Saquon Barkley's impact.
Aug 28, 2025
First piece to Dallas in Parsons deal
The Packers traded Clark and two first-round picks to the Cowboys for pass rusher Micah Parsons on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark will be the first piece of the puzzle in the return for Parsons, who agreed to a four-year, $188 million extension to move to Green Bay. As for Clark, he'll help fortify the interior of Dallas' defensive line, having recorded at least 37 tackles and 1.0 sacks in each of the last eight campaigns.
Aug 19, 2025
Returns to practice
Clark (back) returned to practice Tuesday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark missed Monday's session but is evidently fine. The 29-year-old hasn't missed a start since the 2021 season and finished with 37 tackles (20 solo), including 1.0 sacks, two pass breakups and two fumble recoveries across 17 regular-season appearances last year.
Aug 18, 2025
DNP due to back injury
Clark (back) didn't practice Monday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
This is the first time Clark's practice participation has been impacted by an injury in 2025. Assuming Clark regains health in time for the Sept. 7 regular-season opener against the Lions, he's set to reprise a starting role on the interior of Green Bay's defensive line after starting all 17 regular-season games for the Packers in 2024.
Jan 20, 2025
Starts all 17 games again in 2024
Clark finished the 2024 season with 37 tackles (20 solo), including 1.0 sacks, two pass breakups and two fumble recoveries across 17 regular-season contests.
ANALYSIS
The 29-year-old started all 17 games for the third straight season, but Clark saw his playing time dip to 63 percent of the defensive snaps, his lowest mark since his 2016 rookie campaign. Clark's counting stats also took a predictable hit with the decreased snap share, as his 37 tackles and 1.0 sacks were Clark's fewest since his rookie year. Clark signed a three-year, $64 million extension through 2027 just last summer, and he's set to carry a $20.3 million cap number during the 2025 season. Green Bay will hope for an increase in production from Clark in what will be his age-30 campaign.
Dec 9, 2024
Logs eight tackles against Detroit
Clark finished Thursday's 34-31 loss to the Lions with eight tackles (six solo).
ANALYSIS
It was a season-high tackling effort from the veteran defensive tackle this past Thursday, and he was one tackle shy from matching his career-best output from Week 3 of the 2018 season (nine). He's now up to 31 tackles (17 solo), including 1.0 sacks, through 13 regular-season games.
Oct 5, 2024
Gets green light
Clark (toe) is good to go for Sunday's game against the Rams, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark was unable to practice at the beginning of the week, but back-to-back limited sessions were enough to get him the green light. Barring any setbacks, he is slated to take on his usual role in the trenches for the Packers' interior defensive line.
Oct 3, 2024
Able to practice Thursday
Clark (toe) was a limited participant in practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Clark wasn't able to practice Wednesday, though he's been managing a toe injury since Week 1. Unless he downgrades to a DNP on Friday, the 2016 first-round pick should be good to go for Sunday's game against the Rams. Clark registered 7.5 sacks across 17 regular-season games in 2023, but he has yet to record a sack this year.
Oct 2, 2024
Doesn't practice Wednesday
Clark (toe) was listed as a DNP for Wednesday's practice session, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark has been playing through a toe injury he sustained in Week 1 against the Eagles. While it's not ideal that he started the week with a DNP, Clark will have two more chances at seeing the field ahead of Sunday's game against the Rams. The 2016 first-round pick has tallied 10 tackles (seven solo) through the first four games of the regular season.
Sep 20, 2024
On track to play Sunday
Clark (toe) does not carry an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game at Tennessee, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark was limited at practice again Friday, but the ninth-year player apparently won't need a full practice to suit up for Week 3. He'll be looking for his first sack of the season against a suspect offensive line.
Sep 18, 2024
Limited Wednesday
Clark (toe) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Clark was able to play through his toe issue in the Packers' Week 2 win over the Colts, so his limited participation Wednesday is most likely precautionary. The 28-year-old has recorded five total tackles across Green Bay's two games this season, and he'll likely suit up in Week 3 unless his participation downgrades Thursday or Friday.
Sep 13, 2024
Ready to rock
Clark (toe) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Clark was limited both Wednesday and Thursday due to a toe injury, but after Friday's full practice session, it appears he's moved past the issue. The 28-year-old recorded two total tackles on 54 defensive snaps in Week 1, and he's expected to serve as Green Bay's top interior defensive lineman in the Packers' home opener Sunday.
Sep 11, 2024
Pops up on injury report
Clark (toe) was limited during practice Wednesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark played 73 percent of the Packers' defensive snaps in their loss to the Eagles last Friday but assumingly picked up a toe injury in the process. The team is likely taking it easy on the veteran, but his practice status Thursday and Friday could be worth monitoring regarding his status for Sunday's game against the Colts.
Jul 21, 2024
Inks contract extension
Clark and the Packers agreed on a three-year, $64 million contract extension Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark is coming off of a 2023 campaign in which he recorded a career-high 7.5 sacks, while totaling 44 total tackles of the Packers' 17 regular-season contests. The 28-year-old has been a staple on the interior defensive line for Green Bay since the team selected him in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, missing just eight total regular-season contests over his eight year career. With the Packers looking to build off of a 2023 season where the team nearly reached the NFC Championship game, inking Clark to a long-term deal will eliminate any drama about his future.
Jan 22, 2024
Sets career high for sacks
Clark tallied 44 tackles (22 solo), a career-high 7.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and three pass deflections over 17 games in 2023.
ANALYSIS
Clark had not recorded more than 6.0 sacks in a season, but he surpassed that mark in his eighth go-around as a professional. He appeared in every game the last two seasons and will turn just 28 years old in October, so he figures to remain a force upfront for the Packers.
Dec 18, 2023
Racks up two sacks
Clark recorded four tackles (three solo), two sacks and a pass deflection in Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Clark had recorded only 0.5 sacks over his previous six appearances, but he made up for lost time in a big way in Week 15, and in the process set a new career high with 6.5 sacks in a season. He will continue playing a prominent role on Green Bay's defensive line the rest of the way.
Nov 12, 2023
Ready to go Sunday
Clark (shoulder) is active Sunday against the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Clark was able to log limited practices throughout the week, paving the way for him to take the field in Week 10 against Pittsburgh. The UCLA product should play a significant role on the interior of the defensive line after a shortened outing last Sunday when he suffered the injury.
Nov 10, 2023
Questionable for Sunday at Steelers
Clark (shoulder) is questionable for Sunday's game at the Steelers, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark was limited at practice during the week, and now he's in jeopardy of missing his first game this season with a shoulder injury he sustained in Week 9 versus the Rams. If he's sidelined, 2021 fifth-rounder Tedarrell Slaton will likely start at defensive tackle in Week 10.
Nov 8, 2023
Limited in practice Wednesday
Clark (shoulder) logged a limited practice session Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Clark had to be carted to the locker room after injuring his shoulder Sunday against the Rams, so his ability to practice (albeit in limited fashion) on the first day of Week 10 prep is promising. The defensive lineman has tallied four sacks over eight games this season, already tying his total across 17 contests last year. Clark appears to have a good chance of playing this coming Sunday in Pittsburgh, but if he were to sit out, Colby Wooden could be in line for more defensive snaps.
Nov 5, 2023
Won't return Sunday
Clark (shoulder) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Rams.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old got carted back to the locker room with a shoulder injury, and he had been listed as questionable to return, but he'll be held out for the rest of Sunday's contest. Colby Wooden should continue to see an uptick in snaps on the Packers' defensive line as the game continues.
Nov 5, 2023
Questionable to return
Clark suffered a shoulder injury during Sunday's game against the Rams and is questionable to return, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The defensive end left the field on a cart, per Schneidman. Clark made one tackle before leaving the game and has 22 tackles, including four sacks, and a forced fumble this season. Colby Wooden should see more playing time if Clark can't return.
Oct 30, 2023
Back in box score
Clark tallied three tackles (one solo) and a sack in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Clark did not record even one tackle in Week 7, but he picked up three of them in Week 8 and also recorded his fourth sack. He has now registered at least a half sack in five of his seven appearances this season.
Oct 10, 2023
Logs sack in loss
Clark accumulated five tackles (two solo) and one sack in the Packers' 17-13 loss to the Raiders on Monday Night Football.
ANALYSIS
After making a mark in the sack department each of the first three weeks, Clark bounced back from a Week 4 goose egg with a quarterback takedown on MNF. He is now up to three total through five games. The defensive tackle will now set his sights on Week 7, as the Packers have a bye in the upcoming week.
Sep 12, 2023
Forces fumble in win
Clark recorded two tackles, 0.5 sacks and one forced fumble in Sunday's season opening victory over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Clark picked up where he left off in 2022 and was a force in the trenches. He was on the field for 36 defensive snaps (51 percent) and made the most of them. The veteran defensive tackle will look to carry that momentum into the Packers' Week 2 game in Atlanta.
Aug 17, 2023
Back at practice
Clark (back) is practicing Thursday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark didn't appear in the team's preseason opener against the Bengals and was also unable to practice Monday. However, the 27-year-old is now back in action during the teams' joint practice with the Patriots ahead of their preseason matchup Saturday.
Aug 14, 2023
Has back injury
Clark is not practicing Monday due to a back injury, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark didn't suit up for Green Bay's preseason opener against the Bengals, and his status appears uncertain for Saturday's exhibition match against the Patriots as well. The veteran defensive tackle is a key component of the Packers' starting defense, so the team will no doubt prioritize getting him healthy for Week 1. Tedarrell Slaton and Jonathan Ford should handle more practice reps in the meantime.
Mar 1, 2023
Adjusts contract
Clark had $13.835 million of his 2023 compensation converted into a signing bonus Wednesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark's willingness to adjust his contract will open up over $11 million in cap space for the Packers this offseason. The veteran completed another successful season in 2022, playing in all 17 contests, and recording 53 tackles (27 solo) and four sacks,
Nov 7, 2022
Logs season high in tackles
Clark recorded seven tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 15-9 defeat versus the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Clark finished behind inside linebacker Krys Barnes as the Packers' second-leading tackler against Detroit. The nose tackle has now totaled 34 tackles (16 solo) and two sacks over the first nine games of 2022, and he could come away with another impressive stat line against the Cowboys' run-heavy offense this coming Sunday.
Sep 26, 2022
Captures two sacks in win
Clark tallied four tackles (three solo) and two sacks in Sunday's victory over the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Clark did not get to the quarterback in the Packers' first two games of the season, but he was able to get there twice in Week 3. Clark needs just four more sacks to tie the career-high 6.0 sacks he recorded in both 2018 and 2019.
Sep 23, 2022
No injury designation for Sunday
Clark doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Wes Hodkiewicz of Packers.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark popped up on the injury report Thursday as a limited participant due to a groin injury and was limited again Friday. Nonetheless, the defensive tackle will still be good to go for Sunday's matchup with Tampa Bay. Through two games, Clark has recorded five tackles across 78 defensive snaps.
Sep 22, 2022
Logs limited session Thursday
Clark (groin) was listed as a limited participant on the Packers' practice report Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Although Clark was able to play 88 percent of the team's defensive snaps during Sunday's game against the Bears, he was limited during Thursday's practice with an apparent groin injury. The severity of the issue is unclear, but expect Friday's practice report to provide more clarity regarding the 314-pounder's Week 3 availability against the Buccaneers. If Clark is ruled inactive, Devonte Wyatt and Tedarrell Slaton are candidates to take on expanded roles Sunday against Tampa Bay.
Sep 12, 2022
Four tackles in opener
Clark recorded four tackles (three solo) during Sunday's 23-7 loss against the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
It wasn't the flashiest day for Clark, who totaled four tackles and played 43 out of a possible 62 defensive snaps (69%) for Green Bay's defensive unit. The 314-pounder hopes to make a bigger impact next Sunday night when the team hosts an exploitable Bears' offensive line.
Feb 23, 2022
Restructures contract
Clark agreed Wednesday to restructure his contract with the Packers, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Green Bay frees up roughly $10.9 million in cap space for the 2022 season by converting $13.6 million of Clark's salary into a signing bonus, plus adding two voidable years to his deal. Further such restructures doubtless lie ahead in the Packers' future, given the team's current salary cap constraints. For his part, Clark is coming off a 48-tackle, four-sack campaign in which he earned a second career Pro Bowl nod.
Feb 4, 2022
Earns second Pro Bowl nod
Clark racked up 48 tackles (27 solo) and four sacks over 16 appearances in 2021.
ANALYSIS
After dealing with injuries for a good chunk of the 2020 season, Clark missed just one game in 2021, and he wound up being named to the Pro Bowl for the second time in three years. Expect Clark to remain a force on the Packers' defensive line in 2022.
Dec 23, 2021
Rejoins teammates at practice
Clark was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark returned to practice Thursday, and the team is optimistic that he'll be able to suit up Saturday against the Browns. The starting nose tackle missed last week's win over the Ravens after being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list a week ago.
Dec 16, 2021
Added to COVID-19 list
Clark was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
It's not yet known whether Clark has tested positive for the virus or whether he's considered a close contact. However, he'll likely be sidelined Sunday against the Ravens because he was placed on the list so late in the week. Tyler Lancaster and Tedarrell Slaton are the candidates to fill in for an absent Clark this weekend.
Nov 29, 2021
Collects fourth sack
Clark racked up six tackles (three solo) and a sack in Sunday's 36-28 victory over the Rams.
ANALYSIS
The six tackles tied a season high for Clark, and the sack was the first he put on the board since he tallied two of them in Week 6. Clark has been a force on the Packers' defensive line all season, and he now finds himself just two sacks shy of the career-high six he recorded in both the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
Nov 14, 2021
Will play Sunday
Clark (back) is active Sunday against the Seahawks, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark logged multiple limited practices this week. With the determination that he's good to go for Sunday, Clark should resume his role of starting nose tackle.
Nov 13, 2021
Listed as questionable
Clark (back) is considered questionable for Sunday's tilt against the Seahawks, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark practiced in limited fashion all week, which seems to indicate he is trending towards a true game-time decision. Some combination of Tyler Lancaster and Tedarrell Slaton would presumably fill in for his snaps should he ultimately not get the green light from Green Bay.
Nov 11, 2021
Limited at Wednesday's practice
Clark (back) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Clark was unable to return after suffering the back injury during Sunday's loss to Kansas City, so it's encouraging to already see him back on the practice field. The 26-year-old appears on track to play this weekend against Seattle, though he may need to put in a full practice to avoid an injury designation.
Nov 7, 2021
Unable to return
Clark didn't return to Sunday's game against Kansas City due to a back injury.
ANALYSIS
Clark sustained his back injury just before halftime Sunday. The defensive tackle recorded one solo tackle prior to his departure, and Tedarrell Slaton is in line for additional work if Clark misses time.
Nov 7, 2021
Dealing with back problem
Clark (back) is questionable to return Sunday against the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Losing Clark would be a huge blow for the Packers defensively, as he's often a disruptive force and has racked up 28 tackles, three sacks and a recovered fumble so far. If he can't return, look for Tedarrell Slaton to see an uptick on his snap count.
Oct 18, 2021
Stacks up two sacks
Clark recorded three solo tackles and two sacks in Sunday's 24-14 victory over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Clark has been wreaking a lot of havoc in opposing backfields, and that finally paid off in the sack column, as he recorded twice as many sacks in Week 6 as he tallied through the Packers' first five games. He is well on his way to matching or surpassing the career-high six sacks he recorded during the 2018 and 2019 campaigns.
Sep 13, 2021
Five stops in Week 1
Clark had five tackles (three solo) in Sunday's 38-3 loss to the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Clark's tackle numbers took a dip last season, but he got off to a good start in that regard in Week 1, as the five stops he recorded were over a full tackle more than the 3.9 tackles he averaged while making a career-high 62 stops in 2019.
Dec 15, 2020
Second sack of season Sunday
Clark recorded four tackles and a sack across 56 defensive snaps in Sunday's win over the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Clark notched his second sack of the season Sunday and he now has 30 tackles (22 solo) on the year as well. The defensive tackle will now shift his focus to Saturday's matchup with the Panthers.
Nov 24, 2020
Registers first sack of season
Clark tallied six tackles (five solo), one sack and one tackle for loss Sunday against the Colts.
ANALYSIS
After registering six sacks in 16 games a season ago, Clark was finally able to get to the quarterback for the first time in 2020 (seven games). He's collected 22 tackles (16 solo) for the Packers this year.
Oct 14, 2020
Practices fully Wednesday
Clark (groin) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Clark suffered this groin injury in the season opener and missed three games as a result, but he's back to full speed with a Week 6 matchup against the Buccaneers on tap. The UCLA product will be an immediate improvement for the Packers' suspect run defense, and he'll look to build on last year's performance of 62 tackles and six sacks through 16 games.
Oct 5, 2020
Will remain sidelined
Clark (groin) will not return for Monday's tilt against the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Clark's absence will mark his third consecutive game missed due to a groin injury. The Packers presumably want to err on the side of caution with their prized defensive tackle and utilize their Week 5 so he can fully recover.
Oct 5, 2020
Unlikely to play Monday
Clark (groin) isn't expected to play in Monday's game versus the Falcons, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark was limited in practice all week, but it looks like the Packers will keep him on the sidelines and utilize their Week 5 bye to ensure their star nose tackle returns at 100 percent. The final verdict on his status will be revealed about 90 minutes before Monday's 8:50 p.m. ET kickoff.
Oct 3, 2020
Uncertain for Week 4
Clark (groin) is questionable for Monday's game versus the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Clark practiced in a limited fashion all week, but he followed a similar practice regimen before being inactive in Week 3 versus the Saints. He should be considered a game-time decision of sorts, and his return would be a major boost for an otherwise pitiful run defense.
Sep 27, 2020
Missing another game
Clark (groin) is listed as inactive Sunday at New Orleans, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark was able to return to the practice field this week for the first time since injuring his groin in the season opener, logging limited showings Thursday and Friday. Having said that, the Packers again will exercise caution with one of the foundational pieces on defense. In Clark's absence, look for Tyler Lancaster, Kingsley Keke and Montravius Adams to experience elevated playing time.
Sep 25, 2020
May be game-time call
Clark (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest in New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Clark picked up a groin injury during the Packers' season-opening win at Minnesota. He sat out Week 2 against the Lions and every practice until Thursday, when he wrapped up this week with back-to-back limited showings. Coach Matt LaFleur said Clark has "made progress" but is "definitely not 100 percent yet." Clark is shaping up to be a game-time decision, meaning his status may not be known until 90 minutes before Sunday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff.
Sep 24, 2020
Upgraded to limited
Clark (groin) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday after sitting out Wednesday's session, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The 2019 Pro Bowler was forced to exit Green Bay's season-opening win against the Vikings after fielding 15 defensive snaps, and up until Thursday, he was unable to suit up for a single practice since. Now trending in the right direction, at least, the Packers defense keeps its finger crossed that it will soon get the versatile lineman back into the rotation. Heading into a Week 3 matchup against New Orleans' Alvin Kamara, who is coming off a 174-scrimmage yard and two-touchdown performance, Clark's presence would certainly be a boost to the Packers' front.
Sep 23, 2020
Unable to practice Wednesday
Clark (groin) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark is trending in the wrong direction to start the week, but if he can practice in some capacity Thursday, that will be a better indication of his status for Sunday's matchup versus the Saints. Considering Saints RB Alvin Kamara looks as healthy as ever, having Clark available to stuff the run would be a major boost for the Packers.
Sep 18, 2020
Unable to play Sunday
Clark (groin) has been ruled out of Sunday's game versus the Lions, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark exited the season opener with a groin injury and hasn't practiced since, so he'll shift his focus to getting healthy for Week 3's road clash against the Saints. This is a major hit to the Packers' already suspect run defense that will look to halt D'Andre Swift, Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson on Sunday. Montravius Adams (toe) is considered questionable for Sunday, and if he can go, he will likely start in Clark's place. Daylon Mack should make his Packers debut as well.
Sep 17, 2020
Unable to practice Thursday
Clark (groin) was a non-participant in Thursday's practice, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark has missed back-to-back practices while rehabbing the groin injury he sustained against the Vikings in Week 1, putting his status for Sunday's game against the Lions in legitimate doubt. If Clark is forced to miss any time, Green Bay's run defense and pass rush will both take a noticeable hit.
Sep 16, 2020
DNP on Wednesday
Clark (groin) didn't practice Wednesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Instead, Clark focused on rehabbing the groin injury that he suffered Week 1 at Minnesota, per Demovsky. During his first four seasons as a pro, Clark missed just four games and capped that stretch by playing 83.6 percent of the Packers' defensive snaps in 2019. Knowing that, continued absences from the defensive tackle will signify the severity of his current concern.
Sep 13, 2020
Ruled out with groin injury
Clark (groin) suffered a groin injury and will be out for the remainder of the team's Week 1 contest against the Vikings, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark suffered the injury in the second quarter and the team will hope to have him back in action for Week 2 against the Lions. A standout along the team's defensive line, both the pass rush and run defense will suffer in his absence.
Aug 15, 2020
Big extension with Green Bay
Clark agreed to a four-year, $70 million extension with the Packers on Saturday, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark might not post the flashiest numbers on the defensive line, but he's been one of the league's best defenders for a couple years and he won't turn 25 until October. In addition to providing a disruptive presence that sets up edge rushers Preston and Za'Darius Smith for success, Clark is a valuable anchor against the run. Clark also has unusual conditioning for an interior lineman, providing 879 snaps last year at a position where peers of his are often or typically held under 700 snaps per 16 games. In many ways Clark is the foundation of the Green Bay defense.

Doesn't plan to hold out
Clark doesn't expect to hold out in 2020 if he isn't offered an appropriate contract extension, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. "Hopefully, I don't have to do anything like that," Clark said. "I don't think it will come to that."
ANALYSIS
The Packers have already picked up Clark's fifth-year option worth $7.69 million in 2020, and while Clark doesn't plan on using his leverage to force a long-term deal with the Packers, he certainly didn't shut the door on the notion. Clark already has four years of pro experience under his belt at 24 years old, and he recorded career highs in tackles (62) and sacks (six) in 2019 while proving he's one of the top run-stoppers in the league. This will be a situation to monitor through the offseason program and possibly training camp.

Another solid run-stopping campaign
Clark, who registered six tackles and a sack over two playoff games, finished 2019 with a career-high 62 tackles and six sacks over 16 regular-season games.
ANALYSIS
Clark recorded exactly six sacks and 15 quarterback pressures for the second straight season. The 24-year-old already has four seasons of pro experience under his belt, and he has carved out a reputation as a premier run-stopper. The Packers have picked up his fifth-year option worth $7.69 million for the 2020 season, and Clark figures to be a top priority for a contract extension this offseason.

Ready to rock
Clark (back) does not have an injury designation for Sunday's NFC Championship Game in San Francisco, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark was a full participant in Friday's practice. The standout run-stopper's presence will provide a notable boost for Green Bay's defensive front against the 49ers.

Starts week as limited participant
Clark was limited in Wednesday's practice due to a back injury.
ANALYSIS
Clark managed to play through his back injury during the Packers' divisional-round win over the Seahawks, during which he generated four tackles and a sack, and there's not yet any reason to worry about his availability for Sunday's NFC Championship game in San Francisco. Barring any setbacks, Clark is on track for his usual key role along Green Bay's defensive line.

Tallies sack in victory
Clark had four tackles (three solo) and a sack in Sunday's divisional round win over the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Clark did not appear affected by the back injury that slowed him last week, and he was able to play 55 of a possible 64 snaps in Sunday's contest.

Ready to face Seahawks
Clark (back) is active for Sunday's playoff game against the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Clark has logged back-to-back limited practice sessions, and he's ready to take the field for Sunday's NFC divisional-round bout. As one of Green Bay's most effective run-stoppers, Clark's availability at nose tackle will be a notable boon for the Packers.
Jan 10, 2020
Questionable for divisional round
Clark (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's divisional-round contest against the Seahawks, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
A non-participant Wednesday due to a back injury, Clark was limited at Thursday's padded practice and Friday's walkthrough held outdoors. The fact he put in some work both days bodes well for his upcoming availability, but the Packers won't make the final call until about 90 minutes before Sunday's 6:40 p.m. ET kickoff. Clark's presence will be huge against a Seattle front that may be without its starting duo of Duane Brown (knee) and Mike Iupati (neck) on the left side.

Dealing with back injury
Coach Matt LaFleur said Thursday that Clark (back) was "really limited" in practice, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark sat out Wednesday's practice, so Thursday's limited session at least represents a tangible step in the right direction. LaFleur also said he's "hopeful" that Clark will be available for Sunday's NFC divisional round game against the Seahawks. The starting nose tackle will have one more opportunity to practice without limitations Friday.

Sits out first playoff practice
Clark (back) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Clark dealt with a brief back injury back in October, and this may be a related issue. The Packers hope this is just a minor problem, as Clark is one of the team's best run-stuffers. The fourth-year defensive tackle will aim to get back on the field Thursday and Friday; otherwise, Montravius Adams is in line to start at nose tackle.

All clear for Week 17
Clark doesn't carry and injury designation ahead of Sunday's divisional matchup versus Detroit, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite logging limited participation through all three practices this week, Clark shook off an ankle issue ahead of Week 17. The veteran is expected to handle his starting role as the team's nose tackle, and is coming off a Monday Night Football performance with four tackles (two solo) and a sack.
Dec 26, 2019
Limited again
Clark (ankle) was listed as a limited participant on Thursday's injury report.
ANALYSIS
Clark has logged back-to-back limited practices to begin the week, though it's worth noting that Wednesday's session was only an estimate and the Packers held a walk-through Thursday. There's not yet any reason to believe that Clark is in danger of missing any time.
