Placed on IR
The Seahawks placed McIntosh (knee) on injured reserve Monday, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh was trying to defend his role from last year as the team's No. 3 running back, but his season ends before it started due to an ACL tear in the opening days of training camp. Damien Martinez and George Holani are now the favorites for the No. 3 job, behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet.

May have torn ACL
McIntosh (knee) likely tore an ACL during practice Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Further testing needs to be done to confirm McIntosh's diagnosis, but the initial expectation is that the third-year RB suffered a major knee injury. If he did indeed tear an ACL, McIntosh would almost certainly need to miss the entire 2025 campaign. That would be a blow both to Seattle's running-back corps -- McIntosh was slated to be the team's No. 3 RB -- and to its special-teams unit, as he was expected to work as a kick returner as well. If McIntosh is unable to play this year, seventh-round rookie Damien Martinez could be asked to take on the third-RB role behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet, while Steven Sims could handle lead kick-return duties.

Suffers leg injury
McIntosh suffered a leg injury during Seattle's practice Saturday, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh had to be helped off the field after suffering a leg injury during a special-teams drill Saturday. The 25-year-old was unable to put any weight on his left leg following the injury and should he be forced to miss extended time, Steven Sims could takeover his role as the team's primary kick returner.

Modest production in win
McIntosh rushed seven times for 49 yards and failed to secure his lone target in Sunday's 30-25 win over the Rams.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh played just 13 of the Seahawks' 55 offensive snaps in the contest, operating in a supporting role behind fellow running back Zach Charbonnet (42). With Kenneth Walker (ankle) on injured reserve for the past two contests, the 24-year-old McIntosh handled seven carries in both games, unable to get much going with his opportunities. The Georgia product finished the season with 31 rushes for 172 yards and three receptions for 22 yards. McIntosh will enter the third year of his four-year rookie contract in 2025, though he'll continue to be buried on the depth chart behind Walker and Charbonnet next season.
Dec 27, 2024
Generates 46 yards
McIntosh rushed seven times for 46 yards in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
With Kenneth Walker (ankle) on injured reserve, McIntosh handled three carries on the opening drive, including a 25-yard run. However, the split backfield was quickly abandoned, as McIntosh finished with just 12 snaps while Zach Charbonnet received 18 touches on 39 snaps. Charbonnet should lead the backfield again in Week 18 versus the Rams while McIntosh mixes in for a modest workload.
Dec 25, 2024
Four touches against Vikings
McIntosh rushed three times for 14 yards and caught his lone target for 15 yards in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh played just 12 of the Seahawks 64 offensive snaps Sunday while operating as Seattle's No. 3 running back. The 24-year-old could see an uptick in opportunities in Week 17, however, with teammate Kenneth Walker (ankle) in danger of missing more time due to an injury suffered against the Vikings. It would likely be Zach Charbonnet (elbow) handling the majority of work out of the backfield if Walker misses, but while he deals with his own injury, the door could be opened for McIntosh to see more touches. The Seahawks visit the Bears in Week 17.
Dec 16, 2024
Rushes three times in loss
McIntosh rushed three times for nine yards in Sunday's 30-13 win over the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
With Kenneth Walker (calf/ankle) out of the lineup, McIntosh served as Zach Chabonnet's primary backup while George Holani generated 10 yards on three carries as the No. 3 back. It's unclear if Walker will play in Week 16 versus the Vikings, but McIntosh's fantasy value is negligible regardless.
Dec 9, 2024
Generates 45 total yards
McIntosh rushed seven times for 38 yards and caught both targets for seven yards in Sunday's 30-18 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
With Kenneth Walker (knee) inactive, Zach Charbonnet stole the show with 193 total yards and two touchdowns, but McIntosh impressed across his career-high 15 offensive snaps. It's unclear if Walker will be ready to play in Week 15 versus the Packers, but McIntosh should be expected to contribute to some extent if Walker's out again.
Dec 7, 2024
Potential for more opportunities
McIntosh could handle additional reps in Sunday's game versus the Cardinals because Kenneth Walker (ankle/calf) has been ruled out.
ANALYSIS
Zach Charbonnet is expected to be the primary back, much like he was in Weeks 2 and 3 when Walker was inactive. During those games, McIntosh played 11 offensive snaps and carried the ball three times for 11 yards. Thus, McIntosh still shouldn't be started in most formats, but he's worth keeping an eye on in deeper leagues in case Walker's injury lingers.
Oct 2, 2024
Not involved on offense in Week 4
McIntosh failed to record a single offensive snap in Monday's 42-29 loss to the Lions.
ANALYSIS
With fellow running back Kenneth Walker back in the lineup after missing two weeks with an oblique injury, McIntosh's minimal role on offense dried up Monday. The 24-year-old running back, instead, played exclusively on special teams, logging 16 snaps in the contest. As Seattle's No. 3 back, McIntosh holds little to no fantasy value going forward. The Seahawks will host the Giants in Week 5.
Sep 23, 2024
Three carries in win
McIntosh rushed three times for 11 yards in Sunday's 24-3 win over the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh received the first regular-season touches of his career in the big win over Miami. He likely won't play much in close games going forward, especially if Kenneth Walker (oblique) returns in Week 5 versus the Lions.
Sep 16, 2024
No touches in win
McIntosh didn't record a touch in Sunday's 23-20 overtime win versus the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Despite Kenneth Walker (oblique) being inactive, McIntosh didn't receive a touch and played just two offensive snaps, the first offensive snaps of his career. Considering the 2023 seventh-round pick barely played with Walker out, he likley won't have any fantasy upside as long as either Walker or Zach Charbonnet are healthy.
Sep 9, 2024
No offensive reps in win
McIntosh didn't play on offense in Sunday's 26-20 win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
No. 1 running back Kenneth Walker left in the fourth quarter with an abdominal injury, and Zach Charbonnet carried the entire backfield workload the rest of the game. Walker's status for the Week 2 matchup versus the Patriots is in flux as a result, and if he misses time, McIntosh should line up as the clear No. 2 back behind Charbonnet.
Aug 25, 2024
Long TD run in preseason win
McIntosh rushed once for a 56-yard touchdown and secured his only target for a nine-yard gain in the Seahawks' 37-33 preseason win over the Browns on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
The reserve running back recorded his only carry on the Seahawks' third possession, a drive he closed out with an impressive 56-yard scoring scamper off left guard. The touchdown run was the latest example of impressive play from McIntosh, who put together a strong preseason and appears to have the inside track to open the regular season as the No. 3 back behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet (undisclosed).
Aug 17, 2024
Makes case to stick as third RB
McIntosh rushed the ball eight times for 46 yards in Saturday's 16-15 preseason loss to the Titans. He added two receptions (on two targets) for 17 yards.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh is reportedly being pushed for the third spot on the depth chart by George Holani, though he got the better end of that competition Saturday. With Kenneth Walker resting and Zach Charbonnet (undisclosed) unavailable, McIntosh got the first touch out of the backfield and also led the team in both attempts and rushing yards. In addition to the volume, McIntosh showed some impressive physicality and had a long gain of 12 yards on the ground while also tacking on a 10-yard reception.
Aug 16, 2024
Battling for No. 3 role
McIntosh is competing with undrafted rookie George Holani for the No. 3 running back spot, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh seemed like the front-runner for the role heading into the offseason, but Holani has stood out in preseason as a rusher and a blocker and could claim the job. Last season, Mcintosh didn't play an offensive snap as he was stuck behind Kenneth Walker, Zach Charbonnet and DeeJay Dallas. The No. 3 role isn't expected to provide much fantasy utility as long as Walker and Charbonnet are healthy.
May 22, 2024
Bigger role in 2024?
McIntosh (thumb) has the opportunity to compete with DeeJay Dallas for Seattle's third-down running back role this offseason, Nick Lee of Sports Illustrated reports.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh dealt with a plethora of injuries during his rookie season, including a thumb issue that held him out of the Seahawks' 2023 season finale against the Cardinals, but it now seems as if he's back to full health. The 2023 third-round pick appeared in just three games last year, failing to record a single carry while playing 13 total snaps (all on special teams). Now that McIntosh is healthy ahead of Seattle's offseason programs, he's got a chance to become the Seahawks' primary third-down back, playing behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet.
Jan 5, 2024
Out for Week 18
McIntosh (thumb) is out for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Pete Carroll said McIntosh injured his thumb in practice this week, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports. The rookie running back will end his first regular season having played zero offensive snaps as the Seahawks' fourth running back much of the season. Even when Kenneth Walker missed time, McIntosh couldn't see the field behind Zach Charbonnet and DeeJay Dallas.
Dec 1, 2023
Still no offensive run
McIntosh didn't play an offensive snap in Thursday's 41-35 loss to the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Pete Carroll hinted towards some offensive work for the seventh-round rookie this week with Kenneth Walker (oblique) still out, but Zach Charbonnet (knee) operated as the workhorse while DeeJay Dallas picked up the rest of the reps. Charbonnet's injury doesn't sound too serious, and if he's back for Week 14 versus the 49ers, we should expect McIntosh to remain on the bench once again.
Nov 24, 2023
No offensive snaps in loss
McIntosh didn't record an offensive snap in Thursday 31-13 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh suited up for his first NFL game on Thanksgiving because Kenneth Walker (oblique) was inactive. There was some hope that McIntosh could get some work on offense, especially as a pass-catcher if the Seahawks fell behind early, but Zach Charbonnet handled 87 percent of the offensive snaps while DeeJay Dallas picked up the rest. McIntosh could end up being a healthy scratch again in Week 13 against the Cowboys if Walker returns.
Nov 19, 2023
Healthy scratch Week 11
McIntosh (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's contest versus the Rams.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh was moved off IR last weekend following a knee injury, though he didn't play Week 10 against Washington. The rookie appears to be past the knee issue since he came into this weekend without an injury designation, but he still won't make his NFL debut versus Los Angeles. McIntosh's next opportunity to play will come Thanksgiving Day against San Francisco.
Nov 15, 2023
Not listed on injury report
McIntosh (knee) is no longer listed on Seattle's injury report ahead of Sunday's Week 11 game against the Rams, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The seventh-round rookie has yet to play this season. He's buried on the depth chart behind Kenneth Walker, fellow rookie Zach Charbonnet and veteran special teamer DeeJay Dallas. McIntosh does appear to be over his injury, however.
Nov 12, 2023
Won't play Week 10
McIntosh (knee) was ruled inactive ahead of Sunday's game versus the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh was activated off injured reserve Saturday after sitting out the first nine weeks of the season with a knee sprain. However, he'll ultimately have to wait to make his NFL debut, as the team will wait before sending him into game action. The rookie running back's next opportunity to play will come Sunday, Nov. 19 against the Rams. In the meantime, DeeJay Dallas should continue to add depth behind top running backs Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet.
Nov 11, 2023
Moved off IR
The Seahawks activated McIntosh (knee) from injured reserve Saturday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh was placed on the Seahawk's IR on Sept. 9 after sustaining a left knee sprain at the beginning of training camp. He's still questionable for Sunday's game against the Commanders, but if he does play, the rookie would provide running back depth behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet.
Nov 10, 2023
Chance to debut Sunday
McIntosh (knee) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Commanders, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh has yet to make his NFL debut, as he suffered a knee injury in August and has spent the majority of the year on injured reserve. Head coach Pete Carroll told reporters Friday that the rookie running back is physically ready to play, but he's not sure if he wants to make the move to activate him to the team's active roster just yet, per Brady Henderson of ESPN.com.
Nov 9, 2023
Not listed on injury report
McIntosh (knee) was not listed on the injury report Thursday after practicing in full Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh remains on injured reserve even after being designated to return Oct. 25 and practicing last week. The 2023 seventh-round pick is fourth on Seattle's running back depth chart behind DeeJay Dallas, who returned to practice Thursday after missing Wednesday's session.
Nov 8, 2023
Logs full practice Wednesday
McIntosh (knee) was a full participant at practice Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh is still on IR after being designated to return Oct. 25. He logged three full practices last week but wasn't activated ahead of Sunday's loss to Baltimore, though head coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that the rookie running back "possibly could" make his NFL debut this coming Sunday against Washington, per Boyle. McIntosh's chances of playing Week 10 would increase if DeeJay Dallas, who sat out practice Wednesday due to a shoulder injury, isn't able to suit up.
Nov 4, 2023
Not returning yet
McIntosh (knee) was not activated off injured reserve Saturday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
ANALYSIS
The Seahawks still have two weeks to activate off McIntosh after the rookie was designated to return to practice earlier this week, so there doesn't seem to be much of a rush. Expect Kenneth Walker, Zach Charbonnet and Deejay Dallas to once again all factor in the backfield.
Nov 3, 2023
Status unclear for Week 9
McIntosh (knee) was listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game versus the Ravens, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh was designated to return to practice Wednesday after spending the first eight weeks of the season on IR with a knee injury. While the 23-year-old was a full participant in each practice Week 9, it appears he may not be fully ready to suit up for Sunday's game against Baltimore. McIntosh will also need to be activated to the 53-man roster in order to suit up against the Ravens, though he'd likely see little offensive playing time with fellow running backs Kenneth Walker, Zach Charbonnet and DeeJay Dallas all healthy.
Nov 1, 2023
Logs full practice Wednesday
McIntosh (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic, head coach Pete Carroll noted Wednesday that McIntosh is practicing at full speed and "could" play Week 9 against the Ravens. He was placed on injured reserve Sept. 9 after sustaining a left knee sprain early in the preseason. The rookie seventh-round pick out of Georgia could be well on his way to making his NFL debut as soon as Sunday in Baltimore.
Oct 26, 2023
Full practice Thursday
McIntosh (knee) was a full participant at Seattle's practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh remains on injured reserve, but his ability to log a full practice bodes well for his chances to return soon. Kenneth Walker (calf) was a non-participant while Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) was a full-go Thursday, so it's possible that McIntosh, if healthy, could serve as a backup option Sunday versus Cleveland.
Oct 25, 2023
Designated to return
The Seahawks designated McIntosh (knee) to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattlereports.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh was a limited participant in the team's practice Wednesday and has a chance to play Sunday against the Browns. The rookie seventh-round pick could be involved in Seattle's offense from the get-go as both Kenneth Walker (calf) and Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) are dealing with injuries.
Oct 23, 2023
Plans to practice soon
Coach Pete Carroll said Monday that McIntosh (knee) is "good to go," John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Carroll's comments would suggest that Seattle is preparing to designate McIntosh for return from the injured reserve list this week. If that's the case, he could make his NFL debut as soon as Sunday versus Cleveland.
Sep 9, 2023
Headed to IR
The Seahawks placed McIntosh (knee) on injured reserve Saturday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh was officially ruled out Friday from the season opener against the Rams on Sunday. He has been dealing with a knee sprain since the beginning of training camp. The 2023 seventh-round pick out of Georgia will be forced to sit out the first four games of the season.
Sep 8, 2023
Will wait to make debut
McIntosh (knee) is listed as out Friday for Sunday's game versus the Rams, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
After sustaining a sprained knee back in early August, McIntosh will now be sidelined for Seattle's matchup in Week 1. Even when healthy, it's hard to imagine him getting any volume of touches as long as Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet are active.
Sep 6, 2023
Sits out practice
McIntosh (knee) did not practice Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
McIntosh's status for Week 1 is still up in the air as he has yet to fully recover from a sprained left knee. The rookie seventh-round pick is slated to serve as the team's number four back behind Kenneth Walker, Zach Charbonnet and DeeJay Dallas once healthy.
Aug 31, 2023
Uncertain for opener
McIntosh's (knee) spot on the 53-man roster is uncertain for Week 1, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official website reports.
ANALYSIS
The Seahawks selected McIntosh with the 237th overall pick in the seventh round of the offseason's draft. Although has been nursing a sprained left knee since early in camp, there was never much doubt about him earning a spot on the 53-man roster. More clarity on his status for Week 1 will be gained when Seattle releases their initial injury report next week. The rookie is expected to back up Kenneth Walker, Zach Charbonnet and Deejay Dallas to start the year.
Aug 6, 2023
Dealing with left knee sprain
Coach Pete Carroll said Sunday that McIntosh is dealing with a left knee sprain that could keep him out a couple of weeks, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Although McIntosh is dealing with an injury, Carroll said the team got "very good news" regarding his diagnosis. McIntosh was selected by the Seahawks in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft, but his knee issue could limit his opportunities to compete for a role in the offense, especially now that Kenneth Walker (groin) and Zach Charbonnet (shoulder) have returned to practice.
Apr 29, 2023
Another RB to Seattle
The Seahawks selected McIntosh in the seventh round of the NFL Draft, 237th overall.
ANALYSIS
Buried behind Zamir White and James Cook on the Georgia depth chart, McIntosh finally emerged as the team's top back last season leading the team in rushing (829 yards) and receptions (43) out of the backfield. The 23-year-old is slated to work behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet as a rookie, but following the offseason loss of Travis Homer, McIntosh could potentially carve out a third-down role in a Seattle backfield that also includes DeeJay Dallas.
