One big catch in Week 9
Tinsley caught one pass on two target for 27 yards in the loss to the Bears in Week 9.
ANALYSIS
Tinsley played a season-high 17 offensive snaps, as the Bengals were playing catch-up most of the game and frequently went with four wide receivers. He has displayed a penchant for acrobatic catches both in the preseason and twice (on three total catches) now in the regular season, albeit on only six targets overall.

Targetless again in Week 6
Tinsley played 10 offensive snaps without getting targeted in Sunday's loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Meanwhile erstwhile competition Andrei Iosivas played 58 snaps, though he was limited to five yards on one catch. With Mike Gesicki injured, perhaps more targets will be forthcoming to the Bengals' tertiary wideouts.

No targets in Week 5
Tinsley went untargeted while playing three of the Bengals' 62 snaps on offense in Sunday's 37-24 loss to the Lions.
ANALYSIS
After drawing at least one target in each of the Bengals' previous three contests, Tinsley went without a look in the passing game while playing his fewest snaps to date through five weeks. Though the Bengals continue to prioritize him ahead of 2024 second-round pick Jermaine Burton at receiver, Tinsley will likely struggle to see meaningful volume while all of Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Andrei Iosivas and Mike Gesicki are available.

Acrobatic touchdown catch
Tinsley caught his one target in Sunday's win over the Jaguars, a tumbling one-handed touchdown catch where he was able to drag his right shin down in order to stay in bounds.
ANALYSIS
Tinsley earned his roster spot in training camp and the preseason with similar efforts, and justified the team's decision to carry him on the active roster with this catch. He's still just fourth on the depth chart and thus not bankable for fantasy, but it was a huge result for the Bengals.

Shines in preseason win
Tinsley had two catches for 73 yards and two touchdowns in Monday night's preseason win over the Commanders. He has made an impression in camp prior to Monday night's game as well, being named one of the team captains for the contest, Charlie's Chalkboard reports.
ANALYSIS
For all of Tinsley's developments and heroics on Monday night, he still faces an uphill battle to make the Bengals' 53-man roster. He would need the Bengals to keep six receivers, behind Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Andrei Iosivas, Jermaine Burton and Charlie Jones. It's more likely that he'll be a practice squad player for the Bengals in the event of an injury, or maybe putting some good reps on tape for other teams scouting the Bengals while looking for a depth piece.

Heading to Cincinnati
The Bengals signed Tinsley to a reserve/future contract Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Tinsley spent his first two years in the league with Washington, but now he'll have a chance to make an impression with a new team in Cincinnati. He has just three regular-season offensive snaps under his belt going into 2025.

Staying in Washington
Tinsley signed with the Commanders' practice squad on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Tinsley wasn't able to make the Commanders' initial 53-man roster after finishing the preseason with six catches (on 13 targets) for 45 yards. He signed with Washington in April of 2023 as an undrafted free agent, and he appeared in two regular-season games during his rookie year, playing three snaps on offense and another seven on special teams.

Let go by Washington
The Commanders waived Tinsley on Tuesday, Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Tinsley appeared in two games for Washington last season, playing three offensive snaps and another seven on special teams. Tinsley was busy during the preseason, seeing 13 targets, but he caught just six of them for 45 scoreless yards.

Won't play Week 16
Tinsley (coach's decision) is inactive ahead of Sunday's game against the Jets.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old wideout has only appeared in one game for the Commanders this year, so it's no surprise that he'll be a healthy scratch Sunday. Tinsley's lone appearance came back in Week 2, playing a total of three snaps (all on offense).

Inactive for Week 11
Tinsley (coach's decision) is a healthy scratch for Sunday's contest versus the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Tinsley made his NFL debut Week 2 versus Denver but hasn't played since then. Washington has a relatively healthy WR corps, and as long as that remains the case, Tinsley is unlikely to see game action.

Makes NFL debut
Tinsley went without a target across three snaps on offense in Sunday's 35-33 win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
After not playing in the Week 1 win over the Cardinals, Tinsley made his NFL debut Sunday but still barely saw any reps. Among the Commanders' seven active receivers in Week 2, Tinsley finished sixth in offensive snaps, beating out only Jamison Crowder, who played exclusively on special teams.

Expected to sign with Washington
Washington is expected to sign Tinsley as an undrafted free agent, Bryan Manning of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
After exploding for 87 receptions, 1,402 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns for Western Kentucky in 2021, Tinsley opted to transfer to Penn State. In his lone campaign for the Nittany Lions, the 6-foot-1 wideout secured 51 passes for 577 yards and five scores. The lack of sizable production against elevated competition likely caused Tinsley to go undrafted, but he'll still get a chance to compete for a roster spot during training camp. However, with Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, Curtis Samuel and Dyami Brown locked into the top wideout spots, Tinsley will likely have to settle for a practice-squad spot to begin his professional career.
