The Cardinals signed Johnson to their practice squad Wednesday.

The Florida product was dropped from the Eagles' practice squad in early September but has since found a new home in Arizona. Johnson has yet to make his NFL debut after posting 1,410 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on 252 carries during his final two collegiate seasons.

Philadelphia cut Johnson from its practice squad Tuesday.

In a corresponding transaction, the Eagles signed offensive lineman Jake Majors to their practice squad. For Johnson's part, he'll now be free to look for another opportunity with a different club.

Johnson was waived by the Eagles in late August after failing to make the team's initial 53-man roster, but it now appears that he'll remain in Philadelphia on the practice squad. He's unlikely to crack the gameday roster for Week 1, but given their similar early-down skill sets, Johnson could find himself stashed on the practice squad in case Dillon isn't able to stay on the field after he missed the entire 2024 campaign with Green Bay due to neck issues.
