Olamide Zaccheaus Injury News & Updates
Keep up with the latest injuries from the Steelers vs Bears game on Sunday with our National Football League injury report.Nov 17, 2025
Plays just 10 offensive snaps
Zaccheaus wasn't targeted in the Bears' win over the Vikings on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus played a season-low 10 offensive snaps against Minnesota, as rookie Luther Burden matched his season-high with 33 snaps. It appears as if Burden has finally passed Zaccheaus on the depth chart for WR3 duties in Chicago alongside Rome Odunze and DJ Moore. Zaccheaus carries very minimal fantasy value while those three are healthy.
Nov 9, 2025
Production dips in victory
Zaccheaus caught one pass for five yards on four targets in the Bears' 24-20 win over the Giants on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus has at least four targets in five of nine contests this season but has been held to 42 or fewer yards in all but one of those games. His steady volume but modest yardage keeps him in the deeper-league flex mix when managers need target-based floor plays.
Nov 2, 2025
Finds end zone on eight targets
Zaccheaus caught six passes for 58 yards and one touchdown on eight targets in the Bears' 47-42 win over the Bengals on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus scored his first touchdown of the season and led Chicago with eight targets in this game. He profiles as a top-60 receiver while drawing four-plus looks in all but one game this season, but the receiver has just one game with more than 42 yards.
Oct 31, 2025
Cleared to play
Zaccheaus (knee) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Bengals, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With Luther Burden (concussion) out, Zaccheaus should see the bulk of the WR3 snaps behind Rome Odunze and D.J. Moore. The matchup is good, but Zaccheaus hasn't seen enough target volume to warrant fantasy lineup consideration outside of daily fantasy contests.
Oct 30, 2025
Puts in limited practice
Zaccheaus (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Coming out of a Week 8 loss to the Ravens in which he recorded a season-high seven catches (for 33 yards), Zaccheaus was one of four Chicago receivers who appeared on the team's initial Week 9 injury report. Zaccheaus' ability to get back on the field a day later -- albeit in a limited fashion -- is an encouraging sign that his knee injury isn't overly significant, though he may still need to upgrade to full participation in Friday's practice to avoid carrying a questionable tag into Sunday's game in Cincinnati.
Oct 29, 2025
No practice Wednesday
Zaccheaus (knee) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
The Bears' top four wide receivers all logged DNPs to begin Week 9 prep: also, Rome Odunze (heel), DJ Moore (hip/groin) and Luther Burden (concussion). On Monday, coach Ben Johnson termed Zaccheaus "day-to-day" due to a knee injury, per Scott Bair of Marquee Sports Network, so he seemingly has a good chance to mix into drills before week's end. Nevertheless, Chicago's situation at the position bears watching in the coming days to see who may be available Sunday in Cincinnati.
Oct 27, 2025
Day-to-day entering Week 9
Bears head coach Ben Johnson said Monday that Zaccheaus (knee) is day-to-day, Scott Bair of Marquee Sports Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus is recovering from a knee injury sustained during Chicago's 30-16 loss to the Ravens in Week 8, in the wake of which rookie wideout Luther Burden is also in the concussion protocol. Versus Baltimore, Zaccheaus secured all seven of his targets for 33 yards and rushed once for four yards. Zaccheaus be an interesting pivot option for fantasy purposes, especially in PPR leagues, if he's able to suit up on the road against Cincinnati on Sunday but Burden remains sidelined.
Oct 26, 2025
High-volume role
Zaccheaus caught seven of seven targets for 33 yards and rushed once for four yards in the Bears' 30-16 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus has at least six targets in three of the last four games, but the receiver only has one game with more than 25 yards in his last five. Zaccheaus remains a low-ceiling PPR flex when volume cooperates.
Oct 19, 2025
Small role in offense
Zaccheaus caught two passes for nine yards in the Bears' 26-14 win over the Saints on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus was held to fewer than 24 yards for the first time in four games. Of course, with the Bears winning by double digits, the team didn't need to lean on the passing attack. The receiver remains a limited-ceiling PPR depth option.
Oct 14, 2025
Four targets in win
Zaccheaus caught two of six targets for 24 yards and rushed once for four yards in the Bears' 25-24 win over the Commanders on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus has at least four targets in every game and two games with at least 41 receiving yards this season, and he remains a deep-league flex option.
Sep 28, 2025
Leads team in receptions
Zaccheaus caught five of six targets for 41 yards in the Bears' 25-24 win over the Raiders on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus recorded his second game with at least 41 yards this season. However, the receiver also has games with 12 and 24 yards. The veteran will remain a solid-floor PPR option unless his role increases.
Sep 22, 2025
Posts 36 scrimmage yards in win
Zaccheaus caught three of four targets for 24 yards and had a 12-yard rush in the Bears' 31-14 win over the Cowboys on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
In Week 1, Zaccheaus posted 42 yards, but he has just 36 yards over the last two games. Still, the veteran has at least four targets in each contest, and as long as he retains the No. 3 receiver role, he could continue to post limited yardage most weeks.
Sep 14, 2025
Limited production in loss
Zaccheaus caught two passes for 12 yards along with a nine-yard rush in the Bears' 52-21 loss to the Lions on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
After Zaccheaus was second on the Bears with seven targets in Week 1, he followed that up with five targets against the Lions. The veteran has a clear hold on the No. 3 receiver role, and he should continue to see regular targets.
Sep 9, 2025
Solid in Chicago debut
Zaccheaus caught four of seven targets for 42 yards in Monday's 27-24 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus finished second on the team in both receiving yards and targets, trailing DJ Moore and Rome Odunze, respectively. Rookie second-round pick Luther Burden could eventually take on a larger role, but at least early in the season, Zaccheaus has the clear edge for the No. 3 wide receiver role in Chicago, as Burden had just one catch for minus-3 yards Monday. Zaccheaus will look to build on this promising Bears debut in Week 2 against the Lions.
Aug 18, 2025
Finds end zone in victory
Zaccheaus recorded a 36-yard touchdown reception in the Bears' 38-0 preseason win over the Bills on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus continued a strong summer with a long touchdown against Buffalo, but rookie Luther Burden also impressed. Zaccheaus projects as Chicago's No. 4 receiver, limiting his fantasy value unless injuries open opportunities.
Mar 13, 2025
Moves to Windy City
The Bears and Zaccheaus have agreed to terms of a contract, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus had a bounceback with Washington last year, forming a nice pairing with rookie QB Jayden Daniels to the tune of 45 catches for 506 yards and three touchdowns on 64 targets over 20 games between the regular season and playoffs. With veteran WR Keenan Allen hitting free agency this week, Zaccheaus will fill the opening left behind alongside DJ Moore and Rome Odunze while getting to work with another signal-caller from the 2024 class in Caleb Williams.
Jan 28, 2025
Quiet in playoffs
Zaccheaus finished the 2024 regular season with 45 catches for 506 yards and three touchdowns on 64 targets, then added seven catches for 45 yards on 10 targets in three playoff games.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus was Washington's third or fourth WR for most of the year, and he came on strong at the end of the regular season, with the final three games accounting for 41 percent of his receiving yardage (206) and all three TDs. He had far less success in the playoffs, while teammate Dyami Brown had 229 receiving yards in the three games -- nearly as many as his total from the regular season (308). Both Zaccheaus and Brown are scheduled to become unrestricted free agents this offseason, and the same goes for fellow veterans Noah Brown (kidney), Jamison Crowder and K.J. Osborn. That leaves Terry McLaurin and Luke McCaffrey as the only Washington wideouts under contract for 2025, which could put the team in the market for a major upgrade via free agency and/or the draft. If Zaccheaus returns, he'll likely be somewhere between third and fifth on the depth chart.
Jan 24, 2025
Set to play Sunday
Zaccheaus (hip) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's NFC Championship Game at Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus made a brief exit from this past Saturday's divisional-round win in Detroit due to a groin injury, but he was listed with a hip issue this week, resulting in limited practices both Wednesday and Thursday. After Friday's full session, though, he's ready ahead of Sunday's contest. In two regular-season appearances against the Eagles on the campaign, Zaccheaus hauled in six of 10 targets for 80 yards and two touchdowns.
Jan 23, 2025
Remains limited Thursday
Zaccheaus (hip) was a limited practice participant Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus maintained his activity level from Wednesday, giving him just one more opportunity to return to full participation this week or else risk heading into the weekend with a designation for Sunday's NFC Championship Game at Philadelphia. In two regular-season matchups with the Eagles, he combined for a 6-80-2 line on 10 targets.
Jan 22, 2025
Limited in practice Wednesday
Zaccheaus (hip) was limited in practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus briefly exited Washington's divisional-round win over Detroit due to what was listed as a hip injury, but he ultimately retook the field, though he failed to secure either of his two targets. Now, Zaccheaus will have two more chances to upgrade his participation level at practice, and gain clearance to suit up alongside Terry McLaurin, Dyami Brown, Jamison Crowder and Luke McCaffrey for Sunday's NFC Championship Game on the road at Philadelphia.
Jan 18, 2025
Back in Saturday's game
Zaccheaus (groin) returned to Saturday's divisional-round contest in Detroit, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus was deemed questionable to return late in the first half due to a groin injury but rejoined his teammates on the Commanders' second possession after halftime. He'll rejoin a receiving composed of Terry McLaurin, Dyami Brown, Jamison Crowder and Luke McCaffrey.
Jan 18, 2025
Injures groin Saturday
Zaccheaus suffered a groin injury during Saturday's divisional-round contest at Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Prior to his exit late in the second quarter, Zaccheaus hadn't hauled in either of his two targets. As long as Zaccheaus is sidelined, Dyami Brown, Jamison Crowder and Luke McCaffrey will be the available wide receivers behind top option Terry McLaurin.
Jan 13, 2025
Catches three passes for 19 yards
Zaccheaus caught each of his three targets for 19 yards in a 23-20 win at Tampa Bay on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus finished second among Washington's wide receivers in snap share (68 percent), slightly ahead of Dyami Brown, who took 58 percent of snaps and caught each of his five targets for 89 yards and a touchdown. Zaccheaus out-produced Brown in each of the final three games of the regular season, catching 15 of 22 targets for 206 yards and three touchdowns during that stretch, so both figure to be involved in the offense during Washington's next playoff game Saturday at Detroit.
Jan 7, 2025
Two grabs in season finale
Zaccheaus caught two of five targets for 51 yards in Sundays 23-19 win over the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus cooled off quite a bit in Week 18 after a string of strong performances in recent weeks. The wideouts two catches counted for his lowest reception total since Week 12. Zaccheaus became an important part of the Commanders' passing attack to close the season, finishing the year with 45 receptions for 506 yards and three touchdowns. With that said, the 27-year-old is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason after only one season with Washington. His growing chemistry with quarterback Jayden Daniels could lead the Commanders to offering him another contract this offseason. If not, Zaccheaus will hit the market in 2025 in search of a new landing spot.
Dec 30, 2024
Continues late-season surge
Zaccheaus caught eight of nine targets for 85 receiving yards and a touchdown while adding eight rushing yards on his lone attempt in Sunday's overtime win over Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus followed up last week's impressive two-score showing with another strong fantasy performance in Week 17. The former Falcon set a new career-high in receiving yards (540) against his old club following Sunday's output. Zaccheaus' recent string of strong play has put the receiver on the map in most formats for a Week 18 matchup against the Cowboys next Sunday.
Dec 22, 2024
Two TDs in comeback win
Zaccheaus caught five of eight targets for 70 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 36-33 win over the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
The veteran wideout came into the day with zero TDs on the season, but Zaccheaus was a huge part of a dramatic comeback victory, catching scores of four and 49 yards from Jayden Daniels in the fourth quarter, two of five passing TDs on the day for the rookie QB. Dyami Brown also left Sunday's game late with a hamstring injury, which could put Zaccheaus in line for a bigger role in Week 17 against the Falcons, and potentially a second straight revenge game -- he spent 2023 with Philly after his first four NFL campaign came with Atlanta.
Dec 18, 2024
Three receptions in win
Zaccheaus caught three of four targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 20-19 win over the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus played just under 50 percent of Washington's 78 offensive snaps Sunday while operating as the Commanders' No. 3 wide receiver behind Terry McLaurin and Dyami Brown. The veteran wideout caught three passes for the second-straight week, but he was unable to turn those touches into significant fantasy production. Zaccheaus should continue to be ignored for fantasy fantasy purposes as the season approaches its conclusion. The Commanders host the Eagles in Week 16.
Dec 2, 2024
Catches three passes
Zaccheaus caught each of his three targets for 14 yards in a 42-19 win over the Titans on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus played 35 percent of snaps on offense and didn't get a noticeable boost in playing time after Noah Brown left with a rib injury. The Commanders instead turned to Dyami Brown for a regular spot on the perimeter, with Zaccheaus and Luke McCaffrey staying in their familiar depth roles. The Commanders now have a Week 14 bye, followed by a Week 15 road game at New Orleans.
Nov 27, 2024
One grab in loss
Zaccheaus caught his lone target for eight yards in Sunday's 34-26 loss to the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus played just 34 percent of Washington's offensive snaps Sunday and continued his streak of limited playing time in the Commanders' offense. The veteran has played over 50 percent of snaps just once this season back in Week 5. Zaccheaus has recorded just one catch in each of the past three contests, as the 27-year-old is not a major part of Washington's offensive scheme. The sixth-year wideout should be ignored for fantasy purposes in a Week 13 matchup against New England.
Nov 15, 2024
Catches one pass
Zaccheaus caught one of two targets for 10 yards in a 26-18 loss at Philadelphia on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus played 42 percent of snaps on offense, third most among Washington wide receivers on a night when five of them logged at least 30 percent share. Zaccheaus has three of fewer targets in four straight games since drawing 21 targets over a four-game span Weeks 4-7. He'll continue in his depth role Week 12 against Dallas, remaining far off the radar in all but the deepest of fantasy leagues.
Nov 13, 2024
One catch against Pittsburgh
Zaccheaus caught one of three targets for eight yards in Sunday's 28-27 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus played just 16 of the Commanders' 64 offensive snaps in the contest, his lowest snap total since Week 4. The veteran wideout has seen at least a 50 percent snap share in just one game this season, as his limited role has contributed to his inconsistent production. Through 10 weeks, Zaccheaus has totaled 22 catches for 232 scoreless yards on 32 targets. The 27-year-old should remain off the fantasy radar heading into a Week 11 matchup against the Eagles.
Nov 5, 2024
Ices game with 42-yard catch
Zaccheaus caught both of his targets for 48 yards in Sunday's 27-22 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus was fourth among the team's wide receivers in snap share (38 percent) and fifth in route share (23 percent), but he made one of the biggest plays of the game, with a 42-yard gain right at the two-minute warning helping Washington run out the clock on a five-point victory. Although he's been targeted on 27 percent of his routes this season, Zaccheaus figures to remain in a backup/rotational role Week 10 against Pittsburgh.
Nov 1, 2024
Cleared to face Big Blue
Zaccheaus (hamstring) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Giants, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus was a full participant Friday after logging limited practices the previous two days. He'll fill his usual role within a rotation-heavy Washington WR group in which Terry McLaurin is the only sure thing for a full-time role and steady targets each week.
Oct 31, 2024
Reps capped in Thursday's practice
Zaccheaus (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus' practice reps were capped for the second day in a row, and he'll likely need to advance to full participation Friday to avoid taking a designation into Sunday's game against the Giants. If available for the Week 9 contest, Zaccheaus will likely represent a secondary option in the Washington passing game behind wideouts Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown and tight end Zach Ertz. Zaccheaus has yet to find the end zone in eight appearances this season and has been held under 30 receiving yards in all but one of those outings.
Oct 30, 2024
Dealing with hamstring injury
Zaccheaus (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
This is his first time listed on the injury report this season, with Zaccheaus having played 25-51 percent of snaps on offense in all but one game. He ran 18 routes in this past Sunday's 18-15 win over the Bears without drawing single target, following back-to-back games with exactly six targets and four catches. An absence for Sunday's game at the Giants would leave more snaps/routes for some combination of Noah Brown, Luke McCaffrey and Dyami Brown.
Oct 29, 2024
No targets on 18 routes
Zaccheaus finished without a target despite running 18 routes in Sunday's 18-15 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
His route share (45 percent) and snap share (35 percent) weren't far off from season-long norms, but Zaccheaus uncharacteristically finished without a target. His target rate for the season is still at a lofty 26 percent, just without the consistent playing time for it to really matter outside of the deepest fantasy leagues. Zaccheaus is this unlikely to put up a big stat line Week 9 at the Giants.
Oct 21, 2024
Four receptions
Zaccheaus recorded four receptions on six targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 40-7 win over the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus saw six targets for the second consecutive game to match his season high, though his fantasy intrigue remains muted as he continues to work in short areas of the field. While he's translated his 12 targets combined across the last two games into eight receptions, he's turned that into only 52 yards. In seven total matchups this season, Zaccheaus has topped 30 yards just once.
Oct 14, 2024
Targeted six times
Zaccheaus caught four of six targets for 27 yards in a 30-23 loss at Baltimore on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus split slot work with Luke McCaffrey, handling 38 percent snap share and 42 route share. There's not much likelihood of significant workload growth with Terry McLaurin locked in as the No. 1 receiver and Noah Brown playing well as the No. 2, but Zaccheaus has shockingly busy when he does get on the field, drawing targets on a team-high 31 percent of routes (albeit with a lot of those being screen passes). In any case, there's always risk of the volume not being there when the snap counts are so low, and Zaccheaus had just one catch for 10 yards in the previous game, Week 5 against Cleveland. Expectations should remain modest for Week 7, even in a favorable matchup against the 1-5 Panthers.
Oct 8, 2024
Targeted three times
Zaccheaus caught one of three targets for 10 yards in a 34-13 win over the Browns on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus actually got more playing time than he had the week before when he was targeted on six of his nine routes and caught all six passes for 85 yards . With fellow wideout Noah Brown (groin) inactive, Zaccheaus' snap share jumped from 25 percent in Week 4 to 51 percent in Week 5. With or without Brown in the lineup, none of Washington's wideouts besides Terry McLaurin will be a good bet to draw more than three or four targets Week 6 at Baltimore.
Sep 29, 2024
Catches all six Week 4 targets
Zaccheaus caught all six of his targets for 85 yards in Sunday's 42-14 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus led the Commanders in receiving yards while finishing second on the team in targets behind Terry McLaurin's 10. Washington's run-heavy offense has gone with a WR2 by committee behind McLaurin, and it was Zaccheaus' turn to shine while Noah Brown, Luke McCaffrey and Dyami Brown combined for only 47 receiving yards. Zaccheaus came into this game with only 29 receiving yards all season, so he'll be tough to trust in Week 5 against the Browns despite this breakout effort.
Sep 25, 2024
Not targeted in Week 3
Zaccheaus failed to record a single target in Monday's 38-33 win over the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
After Zaccheaus saw three targets in each of the first two games, the veteran wideout was a complete non-factor in Monday's contest. Zaccheaus was on the field for just five of the Commanders' 59 offensive snaps while operating as Washington's No. 6 receiver. Zaccheaus is not a consideration for fantasy purposes as the Commanders will visit the Cardinals in Week 4.
Sep 17, 2024
Three catches in Week 2
Zaccheaus secured all three of his targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 21-18 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Operating as the Commanders' fourth receiver, Zaccheaus played 24 of 72 offensive snaps Sunday. The veteran wideout saw three targets for the second-straight week as the rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels is finding his footing within Washington's passing attack. Zaccheaus' minimal production and spot on the depth chart, however, make him a difficult to trust for fantasy purposes going forward barring injuries to Terry McLaurin, Luke McCaffrey or Dyami Brown. The Commanders square off against the Bengals in Week 3.
Sep 10, 2024
Splits snaps with Dyami Brown
Zaccheaus caught one of three targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 37-20 loss at Tampa Bay, playing 44.6 percent of snaps on offense.
ANALYSIS
Zacccheaus and Dyami Brown shared snaps at one receiver spot while Terry McLaurin mostly played out wide on the left side of the offense and Luke McCaffrey worked the slot. Zaccheaus ended up running 13 routes, which was one more than Brown, who finished without a target. Fantasy value, even in deep leagues, likely will require one of the two to pull away from the other and become a true starter rather than a snap sharer. It remains to be seen if that will happen Week 2 against the Giants or Week 3 against the Bengals.
Aug 26, 2024
Held out of preseason finale
Zaccheaus didn't play in Sunday's 20-10 preseason win over New England.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus, Terry McLaurin, Dyami Brown, Luke McCaffrey and Jamison Crowder all were held out of the game with no injury reported, suggesting they're in good position for spots on the initial 53-man roster. The question is how snaps will be divided after McLaurin, with the Nos. 2 and 3 roles seemingly up for grabs after Jahan Dotson was traded to Philadelphia last week. Zaccheaus and Brown split perimeter snaps with the first-team offense during the first two preseason games while Dotson mostly manned the slot.
Aug 19, 2024
Held to nine yards
Zaccheaus caught two of four targets for nine yards in a 13-6 preseason loss to the Dolphins on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus got some playing time with the first-team offense, but he wasn't a starter and saw just one of his four targets from QB Jayden Daniels. Meanwhile, Dyami Brown caught three passes for 19 yards on the opening drive, and Jahan Dotson took most of the slot snaps with the starters. Dotson, Brown, Zaccheaus and Luke McCaffrey are competing for playing time behind locked-in No. 1 receiver Terry McLaurin, with Commanders coach Dan Quinn having recently hinted that the Nos. 2 and 3 roles are up for grabs. Dotson appears likely to take one of the spots, and it's possible the other starts off as a rotation between Brown and Zaccheaus.
Aug 15, 2024
Competing for starting job
Coach Dan Quinn suggested Thursday that Zaccheaus is competing for the Commanders' No. 2 receiver role, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
2022 first-round pick Jahan Dotson entered camp as a clear favorite for the role, but there have been some signs he's not exactly a lock, including his extended playing time in the preseason opener against New York. Quinn is now confirming there's a competition, with Zaccheaus and Dyami Brown presumably the main candidates to displace Dotson (and rookie third-round pick Luke McCaffrey possibly also in the mix for a top-three role). Zaccheaus only get a few snaps with the first-team offense in the preseason opener, but one of those was a 42-yard catch on the third play of the game.
Aug 1, 2024
Looking good for roster spot
Zaccheaus is "seemingly battling for rotation reps more than a roster spot," according to The Athletic's Ben Standig.
ANALYSIS
The depth chart at WR looks wide open behind returning starters Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson, with other leading candidates for the third and fourth spots being rookie third-round pick Luke McCaffrey and fourth-year pro Dyami Brown. While he's never been targeted at a high rate, Zaccheaus had a nice season for Atlanta in 2022, catching 40 of 61 targets for 533 yards and three TDs. He then had minimal impact in Philadelphia last season, catching 10 passes in 17 games while being targeted on a league-low 7.1 percent of his routes.
Mar 28, 2024
Moving on to Washington
Zaccheaus has agreed to a deal with the Commanders, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
In his only campaign with the Eagles, Zaccheaus (who caught 40 passes with the Falcons in 2022) finished the 2023 regular season with 10 catches for 164 yards and two TDs in 17 games. With the Commanders, the 26-year-old will add depth to a wideout corps that is currently led by Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson. In that context, Zaccheaus has some bounce-back potential if he can carve out steady snaps in 2024 behind the team's top duo.
Jan 19, 2024
Targets drop with new team
Zaccheaus finished the year with 10 catches for 164 yards and a pair of touchdowns in 17 regular-season games.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus was targeted 53 and 61 times in his final two seasons in Atlanta, but that number dropped all the way to 20 after his move to Philadelphia. He went without a target in six games and without a catch nine times. He'll be a free agent this offseason but didn't set himself up well for a substantial payday.
Dec 4, 2023
No targets in Week 13
Zacchaeus wasn't targeted a single time in Sunday's 42-19 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus now has seven catches and 14 targets in 12 games played this season after going untargeted for the first time since Week 2. A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith combined for 24 targets, leaving little for the rest of the receiving corps even in a game in which the Eagles threw 48 times.
Nov 27, 2023
Hauls in 29-yard touchdown
Zaccheaus hauled in his lone target in Sunday's 37-34 overtime win over the Bills for a 29-yard touchdown.
ANALYSIS
On 3rd-and-15 with the Eagles losing 24-21 in the fourth quarter, Jalen Hurts scrambled to his left and found Zacchaeus in the back corner of the end zone, who hauled in the pass above two Buffalo defenders to give his team the lead. It was an impressive highlight, but given that Zaccheaus has fewer catches (seven) than games played (11) this season, his fantasy relevance remains minimal.
Nov 22, 2023
Held catchless against Chiefs
Zaccheaus failed to secure his only target in Monday's 21-17 win over the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus operated as the Eagles' No. 4 wideout in the contest, playing behind A.J. Brown, Devonta Smith and Julio Jones. Monday's game marked the fifth time that the veteran has been held without a catch in 10 games this season. With such limited usage, Zaccheaus should remain a risky bet for relevant fantasy production when the Eagles host the Bills in Week 12.
Nov 7, 2023
One catch again
Zaccheaus caught one pass for eight yards in Sunday's victory over the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus outsnapped fellow depth wideout Julio Jones by a 24-18 margin and had two targets to the veteran's zero, but even despite keeping a firm grip on the third receiver job in Philadelphia, his fantasy value remains minimal. Zaccheaus is averaging less than one catch per game and has found the end zone just once all season.
Oct 30, 2023
Finishes with one catch
Zacchaeus pulled in one of his two targets for five yards in Sunday's Week 8 win over Washington.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus remained the third wideout in the absence of Quez Watkins (hamstring), outsnapping recent addition Julio Jones by a 29-15 margin. Both receivers finished with just two targets and one reception, however. A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith combined for 15 catches, 229 yards and three scores, leaving little work for the rest of the receiving corps.
Oct 16, 2023
One catch on two targets
Zaccheaus was targeted twice in Sunday's 20-14 loss to the Jets, finishing with one catch for five yards.
ANALYSIS
With Quez Watkins (hamstring) on injured reserve, Zaccheaus stepped up to be the Eagles third wideout, but the additional snaps didn't lead to much production. He's now caught a total of four passes in the three games Watkins has missed this year, though that's four more than his total of zero in the three games Watkins has been available.
Oct 13, 2023
Likely to serve as No. 3 wideout
Zaccheaus is expected to serve as the Eagles' No. 3 receiver in Sunday's game against the Jets with Quez Watkins (hamstring) ruled out for the Week 6 contest.
ANALYSIS
While Watkins was sidelined for Weeks 3 and 4 with the same injury, Zaccheaus logged 55 and 85 percent snap shares, respectively, while working behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. The increased playing time didn't translate to much meaningful volume, however, as Zaccheaus mustered a 3-69-1 receiving line on five targets between those games. In addition to Brown and Smith, Zaccheaus will likely rank behind tight end Dallas Goedert and running back D'Andre Swift as a priority in the passing attack.
Oct 9, 2023
Not targeted in Week 5
Zaccheaus was on the field for just nine offensive snaps in Sunday's 23-14 win over the Rams and was not targeted a single time.
ANALYSIS
Quez Watkins returned from a two-game absence due to a hamstring injury, pushing Zaccheaus down to fourth on the depth chart. With Watkins unavailable, Zaccheaus averaged 1.5 catches for 34.5 yards and 0.5 touchdowns while seeing the field for an average of 50 offensive snaps. In the three games Watkins has participated in, Zaccheaus hasn't been targeted once and has seen the field for an average of 17 offensive snaps.
Oct 3, 2023
One catch in Week 4
Zaccheaus finished Sunday's 34-31 overtime win against the Commanders with one reception for 11 yards.
ANALYSIS
Again elevated to third wideout in the absence of Quez Watkins (hamstring), Zaccheaus was targeted just twice against Washington. The Eagles were running three-receiver sets for nearly the entire game, with Zaccheaus on the field for 57 snaps, but as usual, most of the targets went to the elite duo of A.J. Brown (13) and DeVonta Smith (9).
Sep 26, 2023
Scores first Eagles touchdown
Zaccheaus caught two passes for 58 yards and a touchdown in Monday's victory over the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus didn't receive a single target in his first two games as an Eagle, but Jalen Hurts looked his way on three occasions Monday, one of which resulted in a 34-yard touchdown pass. Zacchaeus' expanded role was enable by the absence of third wideout Quez Watkins (hamstring). If Watkins misses more time, Zaccheaus should continue to catch the occasional pass, but the Eagles don't tend to target any of their wide receivers other than A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith very often.
Sep 15, 2023
No targets in Week 2
Zaccheaus was not targeted in Thursday's Week 2 win over the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus saw the field for just 11 offensive snaps in Week 1 but saw that figure jump to 35 in Week 2, largely because third wideout Quez Watkins exited with a hamstring injury in the second quarter. Zaccheaus failed to do anything with those extra opportunities, which doesn't bode well for his fantasy viability even if Watkins misses multiple games.
Sep 11, 2023
Non-factor in Week 1
Zaccheaus saw the field for just seven offensive snaps Sunday against the Patriots and did not receive a target.
ANALYSIS
It's possible Zaccheaus' role grows as he gets more time with his new team, and it's possible the shoulder injury he dealt with in August affected his Week 1 workload, though he wasn't listed on the injury report prior to the game. As of now, however, he doesn't appear to be close to a fantasy-relevant role.
Sep 6, 2023
Ready to rock
Zaccheaus (shoulder) isn't listed on the injury report for Week 1 against New England.
ANALYSIS
The former Falcons injured his shoulder in Philly's second preseason game but didn't seem to miss much practice time thereafter. Zaccheaus most likely will open his Eagles tenure as the No. 4 receiver this Sunday against New England, but it's possible he replaces Quez Watkins as the No. 3 or splits snaps with him. Either way, the two are unlikely to combine for more than a handful of targets given that AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert all are healthy.
Aug 17, 2023
Hurts shoulder Thursday
Zaccheaus sustained a shoulder injury during Thursday's preseason game against the Browns.
ANALYSIS
While the Eagles top wide receiver duo of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith along with Quez Watkins (hamstring) didn't play in the team's second exhibition, Zaccheaus was available and hauled in one of three targets for 17 yards prior to his departure. Considering it's a preseason game, Philadelphia likely will exercise caution and not risk Zaccheaus' health any more, but the 'questionable' announcement suggests that he likely avoided a serious injury.
Apr 19, 2023
Signing with Philadelphia
The Eagles are slated to sign Zaccheaus, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
In 17 games with the Falcons in 2022, Zaccheaus recorded a career-high 40 catches for 533 yards and three TDs. With Philadelphia, the 25-year-old figures to compete with Quez Watkins this coming season for snaps behind the team's clear-cut top two wideouts, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.
Jan 10, 2023
Heavily involved in Week 18
Zaccheaus totaled four receptions on seven targets for 37 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 30-17 win versus the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus caught his first touchdown since Week 5 and saw at least seven targets for the just the third time during the campaign, with two of those instances coming with Desmond Ridder at the helm. However, overall, the wideout struggled in four games with the rookie at quarterback, totaling just eight receptions on 17 targets for 55 yards compared to 32 receptions for 478 yards across 13 games with Marcus Mariota as the starter. Over the past two seasons, Zaccheaus has caught 71 of 114 targets for 939 yards and six touchdowns, and he'll likely test the free agent market this offseason after his one-year deal expired, though a return to Atlanta hasn't been ruled out yet.
Jan 2, 2023
Zero targets in narrow win
Zaccheaus logged zero targets during Sunday's 20-19 victory versus Arizona.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus played the second most snaps among Atlanta's wideouts, but he didn't record a target. Desmond Ridder may have led a game-winning drive, but the Falcons' passing attack remains lackluster at best. Zaccheaus caught 32 of 44 targets for 478 yards and two scores across 13 games with Marcus Mariota as the starter, but the wideout has secured just four of 10 targets for 18 yards over three games with Ridder at the helm.
Dec 24, 2022
Four grabs in loss to Baltimore
Zaccheaus caught four of seven targets for 18 yards in Saturday's 17-9 loss to the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
For the second straight game with Desmond Ridder under center, Zaccheaus failed to make much of an impact as the rookie QB focused on feeding the ball to Drake London. Zaccheaus has already set career highs in catches (36) and receiving yards (496) this season, but his campaign may be poised to end with a whimper. He'll try to get on the same page as his new quarterback in Week 17 against the Cardinals.
Dec 19, 2022
Held without a catch
Zaccheaus didn't record a catch on three targets during Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus was held without a catch for the first time this season. Atlanta's passing game struggled as a unit with Desmond Ridder making his NFL debut, and Drake London, who finished with seven receptions on 11 targets for 70 yards, dominated the majority of the work through the air. Coming into the contest, Zaccheaus had secured 32 of 44 targets for 478 yards and two touchdowns across 13 appearances, making him worthy of consideration in deeper leagues. However, what little fantasy value Zaccheaus had with Marcus Mariota (knee) may be gone with Ridder set to start Atlanta's final three regular season games.
Dec 5, 2022
Modest production in loss
Zaccheaus tallied two receptions on five targets for 13 yards during Sunday's 19-16 loss against Pittsburgh.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus finished second on the team in targets behind Drake London, who led Atlanta with six receptions on 12 targets for a career-high 95 yards, but the former struggled to make a sizable impact with his increased looks. With Kyle Pitts (knee) sidelined, Zaccheaus has seen 13 targets over the past two contests, which is by far the most he's had in any two-game stretch this season. Despite the modest production in Week 13, he continues to be one of the more reliable pass catchers in Atlanta, totaling 32 receptions for 478 yards and two scores across 13 appearances.
Nov 27, 2022
Season-best 91 yards
Zaccheaus recorded five receptions on eight targets for 91 yards in Sunday's 19-13 loss to the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus entered Sunday's game having failed to record multiple receptions in each of his last four games. However, he emerged to command a season-high eight targets and managed lengthy receptions of 45 and 23 yards. His 91 yards was his highest mark in a game since Week 9 of the 2020 season, though Zaccheaus could continue to see an expanded role thanks to the targets vacated by the absence of Kyle Pitts (knee).
Nov 21, 2022
One catch in win
Zaccheaus hauled in one of two targets for nine yards during Sunday's 27-24 victory versus Chicago. He also rushed once for 13 yards.
ANALYSIS
Marcus Mariota completed 13 passes to nine different receivers, which limited the fantasy potential for all of Atlanta's pass catchers. Zaccheaus failed to record multiple receptions for just the second time all season, totaling 25 catches on 31 targets for 374 yards and two scores across 11 appearances. The undrafted wideout should be on fantasy radars in deeper leagues, but his lack of prolific production likely keeps him irrelevant in most standard leagues.
Nov 11, 2022
Modest production in loss.
Zaccheaus caught two of four targets for 34 yards in Thursday's 25-15 loss to the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus hauled in just two catches for the second-straight game as his mostly underwhelming season continued Thursday. As long as Marcus Mariota and the Falcons' passing attack continue to struggle, it'll be difficult for the veteran wideout to reach consistent and fantasy-relevant production from week to week. Zaccheaus is not an option worth trusting in lineups when the Falcons host the Bears in Week 11.
Nov 7, 2022
Two receptions in loss
Zaccheaus hauled in both of his two targets for 19 yards during Sunday's 20-17 loss against the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus has caught multiple passes in eight of nine games this season, totaling 22 receptions for 331 yards and two scores. He's quietly emerged as Marcus Mariota's most reliable pass catcher, but his overall fantasy potential remains limited due to Atlanta's struggling passing attack. Zaccheaus will look to continue his consistent play against the Panthers on Thursday.
Oct 31, 2022
Only one catch in win
Zaccheaus caught his only target for 10 yards during Sunday's 37-34 overtime victory versus Carolina.
ANALYSIS
Coming into the contest Zaccheaus had secured multiple receptions in each of the first seven games of the season, totaling 19 catches on 22 targets for 302 yards. However, he saw just one opportunity during Sunday's win as Kyle Pitts (nine), Damiere Byrd (six) and Drake London (five) led Atlanta in targets. Despite the strong start to the campaign, Zaccheaus' fantasy production was always limited, so it isn't surprising to see him finally submit a dud. Regardless, the 5-foot-8 wideout will look to get back on track against the Chargers in Week 9.
Oct 24, 2022
Modest production in loss
Zaccheaus caught three of four targets for 31 yards during Sunday's 35-17 loss to the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus finished second on the team in targets and yards while tying Kyle Pitts with a team-high three receptions. Atlanta's passing attack has struggled to produce consistent fantasy options this season, but Zaccheaus has been Marcus Mariota's most reliable target, catching multiple passes and finishing with at least 20 receiving yards in each of the first seven games of the season. Regardless, Zaccheaus' fantasy potential likely remains limited in Arthur Smith's run-heavy offense.
Oct 17, 2022
Leads team in receiving
Zaccheaus hauled in all four of his targets for 58 yards during Sunday's 28-14 win versus the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus tied Drake London in targets, but the former finished with team highs in receptions and receiving yards. While London and Kyle Pitts are the most dynamic pass catchers in Atlanta, Zaccheaus has quietly carved out a role as Marcus Mariota's most consistent receiver. The fourth-year wideout has caught multiple passes and recorded at least 20 receiving yards in each game this season, totaling 16 receptions for 271 yards and two scores.
Oct 9, 2022
Catches touchdown in loss
Zaccheaus caught two of four targets for 39 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 21-15 loss to Tampa Bay.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus finished third on the team in targets behind Drake London (seven) and KhaDarel Hodge (five), but the 5-foot-11 wideout led the Falcons in receiving yards for a second straight week and caught his second touchdown of the season. His touchdown came on a 19-yard pass from Marcus Mariota that cut the Buccaneers lead to six following a two-point conversion to Hodge. Zaccheaus has caught multiple passes in each game this season, totaling 213 receiving yards and two scores.
Oct 3, 2022
Leads team with 55 receiving yards
Zaccheaus caught both of his targets for 55 yards during Sunday's 23-20 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus' first catch went for 13 yards on a third-and-eight play on the Falcons' first offensive drive, which ended with a 30-yard field goal. The slot receiver wasn't targeted again until the fourth quarter when he got open down the sideline for 42 yards, which set up the eventual game-winning 45-yard kick from Younghoe Koo. Zaccheaus continues to garner a solid role as the No. 2 wideout behind Drake London, catching all 10 of his targets for 174 yards and a touchdown across four games, but his fantasy ceiling will be limited as long as London and second-year tight end Kyle Pitts are healthy.
Sep 26, 2022
Catches two passes in win
Zaccheaus caught both of his targets for 49 yards during Sunday's 27-23 win over Seattle.
ANALYSIS
The undrafted receiver out of Virginia played 67 percent of the team's offensive snaps, making him the clear No. 2 wideout behind Drake London, but Zaccheaus finished third on the team in targets, receptions and yards behind London and Kyle Pitts. Through three games, Zaccheaus has secured all eight of his targets for 119 yards and one touchdown.
Sep 19, 2022
Secures first touchdown of 2022
Zaccheaus caught both of his targets for 21 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 31-27 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus caught an 11-yard pass from Marcus Mariota in the fourth quarter to cut the Falcons' deficit to 14, marking the wideout's first touchdown of 2022. Zaccheaus played 26 offensive snaps, second among wideouts behind Drake London, but London was the only Atlanta pass catcher to secure more than two receptions. Across two games, Zaccheaus has caught all six of his targets for 70 yards.
Sep 12, 2022
Catches all four targets Week 1
Zaccheaus reeled in all four targets for 49 yards during Sunday's 27-26 loss to the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus finished second on the team in receptions and receiving yards behind Drake London, but his four targets were only good for fourth on the team behind London (seven), Kyle Pitts (seven) and Cordarrelle Patterson (five). Regardless, aside from London, Zaccheaus played 10 more offensive snaps than any other wideout and appears to have carved out a solid role in Atlanta's passing attack to start the 2022 campaign.
May 2, 2022
Falls to No. 2 on depth chart
Zaccheaus will fall to No. 2 on the depth chart after the Falcons drafted Drake London with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Josh Kendall of the Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus signed a $2.433 million RFA tender from the Falcons this offseason and was the de facto No. 1 wideout for awhile with Russell Gage leaving for Tampa Bay and Calvin Ridley suspended for the entire 2022 season. However, the landscape of Atlanta's wide receiver depth chart changed drastically after its selection of London in the first round. Zaccheaus appeared in every game last season and finished with 31 catches on 53 targets for 406 yards and three touchdowns -- all career highs. Matt Ryan's relied heavily on his runnings backs and tight ends, which impacted Zaccheaus' overall fantasy potential, and it's unlikely Marcus Mariota's passing attack changes things for the 5-foot-8 receiver, especially given London (ankle) and Kyle Pitts will garner the majority of targets for the foreseeable future.
Apr 19, 2022
Signs tender with Falcons
Zaccheaus signed his contract with the Falcons on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Previously a restricted free agent, Zaccheaus apparently was unable to find an offer that beat the $2.433 million RFA tender from the Falcons. He'd also have a hard time finding a better chance to earn snaps and targets, considering Russell Gage left for the divison-rival Bucs and Calvin Ridley is suspended for the entire 2022 season. The Falcons still figure to add more receivers before Week 1, but Zaccheaus could nonetheless be in the mix for a starting job, joined by a cast of journeyman that includes Damiere Byrd, KhaDarel Hodge and Auden Tate.
Mar 15, 2022
Tendered by Atlanta
The Falcons tendered Zaccheaus at the right of first refusal level Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The transaction sets Zaccheaus up for a $2.433 million salary in the 2022 season, unless any teams attempt to enter a bidding contest for his services. With Calvin Ridley (suspension) out for all of next season and Russell Gage not yet re-signed, Atlanta could scarce afford to part ways with a wideout already familiar with the offensive scheme. Zaccheaus, who has spent his entire NFL tenure with the Flacons since going undrafted out of Virginia back in 2019, logged a career-best 31-406-3 statline in 2021.
Jan 10, 2022
Catches three passes in loss
Zaccheaus caught all three of his targets for 47 yards during Sunday's 30-20 loss to the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus finished second on the team in receiving yards behind Russell Gage (126), as Matt Ryan couldn't get on the same page with rookie tight end Kyle Pitts (two catches on five targets for eight yards). The third-year wideout finished the 2021 campaign with 31 receptions for 406 yards and three touchdowns, but he failed to take advantage of increased opportunities after Calvin Ridley (personal) left the team ahead of Week 8.
Jan 3, 2022
Non-factor in loss
Zaccheaus caught two of three targets for eight yards during Sunday's 29-15 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
With Calvin Ridley (personal) still away from the team and Tajae Sharpe (illness) in COVID-19 protocols, Zaccheaus once again drew the start opposite Russell Gage. However, despite playing 51 of Atlanta's 53 offensive snaps, the 5-foot-8 wideout was unable to crack fantasy relevancy as Kyle Pitts (69 yards) and Russell Gage (50 yards) dominated Matt Ryan's attention. Zaccheaus continues to garner plenty of snaps but has failed to generate any consistent production, making him a risky fantasy option against the Saints in Week 18.
Dec 27, 2021
Two catches in win
Zaccheaus caught two of his four targets for 32 yards during Sunday's 20-16 win over the Lions.
ANALYSIS
With Calvin Ridley (personal) away from the team and Tajae Sharpe (foot) sidelined for Week 16, Zaccheaus drew the start opposite of Russell Gage. However, Matt Ryan once again relied heavily on his tight ends, as Kyle Pitts (6 catches for 102 yards) and Hayden Hurst (two catches for 21 yards and a touchdown) were the most productive fantasy pass catchers for the Falcons on Sunday. Zaccheaus continues to garner plenty of snaps, but he has failed to develop any consistent production, making him a risky fantasy option against the Bills in Week 17.
Dec 24, 2021
Likely set for starting assignment
Zaccheaus is expected to start and could play heavy snaps opposite top receiver Russell Gage in Week 16 with Tajae Sharpe (foot) listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Lions, Scott Bair of the Falcons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus has already been hovering between 40 and 62 percent snap shares in each of the past eight weeks while Calvin Ridley (personal) has been away from the team, averaging 3.1 targets per game during that stretch. The 24-year-old could now get the opportunity to see both his playing time and targets tick up another notch, as Christian Blake and Frank Darby -- who have combined to play 82 snaps on offense all season -- represent the only other receivers on the roster who might help fill in for Sharpe. Bair speculates that the Falcons may also have running back Cordarrelle Patterson and tight end Kyle Pitts line up at receiver spots more often to help compensate for the expected absences of Ridley and Sharpe.
Dec 20, 2021
Two catches in loss
Zaccheaus caught both of his targets for 53 yards during Sunday's 31-13 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus wasn't targeted in the first half, but on the Falcons' second drive of the third quarter, Matt Ryan found the 5-foot-8 wideout deep down the middle of the field for 49 yards. Russell Gage (11 targets) and Kyle Pitts (seven targets) continue to dominate the majority of Ryan's attention, as no one else saw more than two targets. As long as Calvin Ridley (personal) remains away from the team, Zaccheaus will likely garner plenty of snaps, but he hasn't proven to be a consistent fantasy option at any point this season.
Dec 13, 2021
Held without a target in Week 14
Zaccheaus wasn't targeted during Sunday's 29-21 win over the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus played 29 offensive snaps but didn't record a target for the first time since Week 1. Matt Ryan's reliance on his tight ends and running backs continues to mean mediocre numbers for all of his wideouts except for Russell Gage. As long as Calvin Ridley (personal) remains away from the team, Zaccheaus will likely garner plenty of opportunities, but he hasn't proven to be a consistent fantasy option at any point this season.
Dec 6, 2021
Four touches in Week 13
Zaccheaus caught three of his five targets for 44 yards and also added one rushing attempt for two yards during Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus finished tied with Cordarrelle Patterson and Tajae Sharpe for third on the team in targets, but he was able to significantly outpace the two in total yards. The third-year wideout's 44 receiving yards were his second-highest total of the season, and the most he's produced since his breakout Week 9 performance (three catches for 58 yards and two touchdowns). Nonetheless, slot man Russell Gage (11 catches for 130 yards) continues to be Matt Ryan's go-to reciever while Calvin Ridley (personal) remains away from the team. Zaccheaus will likely continue to see plenty of playing time, but his sporadic production makes him a risky fantasy option on a week-to-week basis.
Nov 29, 2021
Non-factor in win
Zaccheaus caught one of two targets for five yards during Sunday's 21-14 win over the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus appeared to be trending in the right direction after racking up eight catches for 103 yards and two touchdowns over a three-game stretch, but he was a non-factor once again in Week 12. Slot man Russell Gage (six catches for 62 yards and a touchdown) continues to be Matt Ryan's favorite wideout while Calvin Ridley (personal) remains away from the team. However, Atlanta's offense also remains heavily reliant on its tight ends and running backs in the passing game, which significantly impacts Zaccheaus' fantasy upside.
Nov 21, 2021
Sees five targets in loss
Zaccheaus caught three of his five targets for 23 yards during Thursday's 25-0 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus' five targets and three receptions tied him with Kyle Pitts for second on the team, but Russell Gage paced all Falcons' pass catchers with five catches on eight targets. With Calvin Ridley (personal) on the non-football injury list, the 5-foot-8 wideout has totaled 15 targets, eight receptions, 93 yards and two touchdowns over his last three games. Zaccheaus appears to be trending in the right direction, but he will likely remain a risky option despite the uptick in production.
Nov 15, 2021
Targeted seven times in loss
Zaccheaus caught two of seven targets for 22 yards during Sunday's 43-3 loss to the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Zacchaeus was targeted a season-high seven times during Sunday's loss, but he was only able to record two receptions. His seven targets tied him with Kyle Pitts for the team high, and his 22 yards were good for the second most, behind Pitts' 60 receiving yards. With Calvin Ridley (personal) on the non-football injury report, Zacchaeus has totaled 10 targets for 70 yards and two touchdowns over his last two games. Despite the uptick in production, he will likely remain a risky flex option against the Patriots in Week 11.
Nov 7, 2021
Scores twice in Week 9 win
Zaccheaus caught all three of his targets for 58 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 27-25 win over the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus wasn't targeted often, but he made the most of his few opportunities. He secured touchdowns of three and six yards in the second and fourth quarters, respectively, and added a 49-yard reception in the third. Zaccheaus came into this game with just one touchdown all season and no more than 32 yards in any previous contest, so he'll be tough to trust in Week 10 against the Cowboys, even with top wide receiver Calvin Ridley (personal) still on the non-football injury list.
Nov 1, 2021
Non-factor in loss
Zaccheaus caught his only target for 12 yards during the Falcons' 19-13 loss to the Panthers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus continues to be a non-factor for Atlanta's offense. With Calvin Ridley (personal) out for the second time in the past three games, he played 21 snaps -- third highest among wideouts -- but only recorded one target. Matt Ryan continues to utilize his tight ends and running backs more often when his star pass catcher is out, and with Ridley away from the team for an unspecified amount of time, that trend will likely continue, leaving Zaccheaus as an unreliable fantasy option even in deeper leagues.
Oct 25, 2021
Hauls in only target Sunday
Zaccheaus caught his only target for 13 yards during Sunday's 30-28 win over the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus reverted back to his reserve role with Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage active for Week 7. The 24-year-old wideout played 12 offensive snaps and finished sixth on the team in receiving. Atlanta's offense has started to pick up steam, scoring 30, 27 and 30 points in their last three contests, so if they are able to continue to put points on the board and move the ball, then more looks may start to come the receivers way. But until that happens, Zaccheaus likely won't be a viable fantasy option in standard leagues.
Oct 11, 2021
Sees four targets in Week 5
Zaccheaus caught two of his four targets for 20 yards during Sunday's 27-20 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
The Falcons were without Calvin Ridley (personal) and Russell Gage (ankle), so Zaccheaus entered the contest as the Falcons No. 1 receiver. However, that didn't warrant any more targets as Matt Ryan once again relied on his tight ends and running backs during the Week 5 win. It's hard to envision a better situation for Zaccheaus to succeed than the one he was in Sunday, so it's safe to assume his role will continue to be limited throughout the season.
Oct 7, 2021
Could be team's top receiver Week 5
Zaccheaus is expected to head into Sunday's game against the Jets in London as the Atlanta's No. 1 receiver after both Calvin Ridley (personal) and Justin Gage (ankle) were ruled out for the contest, Scott Bair of the Falcons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
While Gage missed both of the past two contests, Zaccheaus had already enjoyed an elevated profile in the Atlanta offense, playing 96 of the Falcons' 130 offensive snaps (74 percent) during that stretch while collecting four receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown on nine targets. With Gage out for another week and Ridley's 10.5 targets per game now up for grabs, Zaccheaus looks like he'll have one of the best opportunities of his young career to produce a useful fantasy line. While Zaccheaus should absorb some of the vacated target volume, he shouldn't be expected to serve as a 1:1 replacement for Ridley. Instead, expect the likes of Zaccheaus and fellow pass catchers Kyle Pitts, Cordarrelle Patterson, Mike Davis, Hayden Hurst, Tajae Sharpe, Christian Blake and Frank Darby to all enjoy upticks in targets and snaps, to varying degrees.
Oct 4, 2021
Catches one pass Sunday
Zaccheaus caught one of his three targets for 15 yards during Sunday's 34-30 loss to Washington.
ANALYSIS
With Russell Gage (ankle) out again, Zaccheaus had another opportunity to seize a bigger role in the offense. However, Cordarrelle Patterson stole the show against Washington with three touchdowns. Even though Zaccheaus is operating as the No. 2 wideout behind Calvin Ridley, he is more like the fifth option in the passing game. Matt Ryan relies heavily on his tight ends -- Kyle Pitts and Hayden Hurst -- and has developed a connection with the multi-talented Patterson.
Sep 27, 2021
Catches touchdown in win
Zaccheaus caught three of his six targets for 32 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 17-14 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus got the start in Week 3 with Russell Gage (ankle) ruled out for Sunday's contest. The 24-year-old wideout didn't disappoint as he hauled in his sixth career touchdown reception. The undrafted free agent had a solid season -- notching 72 catches for 786 yards and four touchdowns -- for the Falcons last year. His role was expected to grow during the 2021 campaign with Julio Jones departing to Tennessee, but until Week 3, that hadn't been the case. If Gage remains sidelined for Week 4, Zacchaeus could build off his solid performance against the Giants and solidify himself as a consistent option in Atlanta's passing attack.

Likely starting Week 3
Zaccheaus is the next man up at wide receiver with Russell Gage (ankle) ruled out for Sunday's game against the Giants, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus caught five of 10 targets for 116 yards and a TD in two starts last year, otherwise operating as Atlanta's No. 4 receiver. He then played just 26 percent of offensive snaps in Week 1 this season, before seeing 58 percent share and four targets (2-22-0) in the Week 2 loss to Tampa. His increase in playing time largely came in the slot, with Zaccheaus jumping from four snaps there in Week 1 to 18 in Week 2. Gage's ankle sprain played a role, though Zaccheaus wasn't exactly a priority for the Atlanta passing game even in his new role. That could again be the case this Sunday, as new OC Arthur Smith seems to be building his passing game around Calvin Ridley, Kyle Pitts and the running backs. Ideally, the Falcons would probably like some of those dump-offs to the RBs to become deep shots to Ridley or Zaccheaus, but it hasn't worked out that way so far.

Two catches in Week 2
Zaccheaus caught two of four targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 48-25 loss to the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus was more involved after a goose egg in the season opener, but he still finished sixth on the team in targets, catches and receiving yards, with all five players ahead of him catching at least five passes. With Atlanta involving its running backs and tight ends in the passing game, the No. 3 wide receiver's volume will remain capped barring injuries to some of his teammates.
Sep 13, 2021
No touches in season opener
Zaccheaus didn't record any touches in Sunday's 32-6 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus was on the field for 26 percent of Atlanta's offensive snaps against Philadelphia, but he wasn't targeted in the blowout loss. The 24-year-old may take on an increased role at some point after Julio Jones was traded to the Titans during the offseason, but he got off to a slow start in the season opener.
Jul 7, 2021
Role likely to grow
Zaccheaus is a candidate to see increased work in the Falcons' passing game in 2021 as a result of Julio Jones' departure from Atlanta, Deen Worley of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus approaches the coming season with the potential to see a significant increase in his target share, with Jones no longer in the mix. Calvin Ridley now profiles as the team's clear-cut top wideout, while Russell Gage is a player many suspect will be the biggest beneficiary of Jones' departure. That said, it's worth noting that in 2020 Gage's production did not markedly improve in games in which Jones was out. With that in mind, if Zaccheaus can impress in the preseason, the speedster has a chance to carve out a more prominent role in the offense and in turn gain value as a fantasy sleeper.

Ends year on injured reserve
Zaccheaus (toe), who ended the season on injured reserve, concluded his 2020 campaign with 20 receptions on 274 yards and a touchdown over 10 games.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus was unavailable for the final five weeks of the regular season, but even still, he was much more involved offensively this year compared to his rookie campaign of 2019. The Virginia standout only totaled three catches for 115 yards last season, with 93 of those yards coming from a single Week 14 TD catch against the Panthers. He also started twice this season, fielding 50-plus offensive snaps on four different occasions. Now afforded a long offseason of recovery with Atlanta missing out on the playoffs, Zaccheaus enters his final year under contract with the Falcons in 2021.
Dec 1, 2020
Out at least three weeks
The Falcons placed Zaccheaus (toe) on injured reserve Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus suffered this injury during this past Sunday's win over the Raiders, and he'll be required to miss at least three games while on injured reserve. The 23-year-old speedster has made two starts this season, both when either Julio Jones (hamstring) or Calvin Ridley was sidelined. He's established a 20-274-1 line over 11 games. To add depth during Zaccheaus' absence, the Falcons signed Laquon Treadwell to the active roster.

Leaves Sunday's game
Zaccheaus was forced out of Sunday's game against the Raiders due to a toe injury, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to his exit from the contest, Zaccheaus caught one of his three targets for 11 yards. His absence further taxes the depth of the Falcons' Week 12 wideout corps, which is already minus Julio Jones (hamstring).
Nov 23, 2020
Attracts only one target
Zaccheaus caught his only target for 10 yards during Sunday's 24-9 loss to the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus was coming off an explosive four-catch, 103-yard performance Week 9 against the Broncos that included a 51-yard TD, rendering his Week 11 showing a disappointing one in comparison. Even with Matt Ryan chucking up 37 attempts Sunday, Zaccheaus was still held under 15 receiving yards for the fifth time in his past six appearances. The 23-year-old has the open-field speed to provide lucrative fantasy numbers when he slips a crease in a given outing, but he hasn't proven capable of providing any sort of high-floor production week-to-week.

Limited Friday, but cleared to play
Zaccheaus (knee) was listed as a limited participant Friday, but he carries no injury designation heading into a Week 11 matchup against the Saints, Will McFadden of the Falcons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The second-year man out of Virginia made his first injury report appearance of the week Friday, but his limited practice reps seem to represent a precautionary measure given that Zaccheaus is clear for Sunday's NFC South tilt. Zaccheaus hasn't missed a game in 2020, and he provided a season-best 103-yard, one touchdown receiving performance Week 9 against the Broncos. With Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore (abdomen) listed as questionable, Zaccheaus has a chance to face a depleted New Orleans secondary Sunday while serving as Matt Ryan's No. 3 WR option.
Nov 9, 2020
Breaks century mark in receiving
Zaccheaus accumulated four receptions on six targets, totaling 103 receiving yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 34-27 win against the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus paced the Falcons in receiving Sunday in large part because of a 51-yard touchdown catch at the 1:24 mark of the first quarter, good for Atlanta's second-longest play from scrimmage all year. The Virginia product recorded zero receptions over his preceding three outings coming into Sunday's matchup, though he was only afforded 34 total snaps during that stretch. This isn't Zaccheaus' first significant outing of 2020, as the 23-year-old also enjoyed a two-game stretch Weeks 3 and 4 when he posted 12 combined receptions for 127 yards. Calvin Ridley (foot) has a chance to heal up over Atlanta's Week 10 bye, and if he does, Zaccheaus' role would likely be reduced when the Falcons retake the field Nov. 22 against New Orleans.
Oct 12, 2020
Just one catch against Carolina
Zaccheaus hauled in one of his four targets for 13 receiving yards during Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
The second-year wideout from Virginia was considered an interesting waiver wire addition after he racked up 12 receptions and 127 yards between Weeks 3 and 4. Despite Zaccheaus' offensive opportunities being enhanced with Julio Jones (hamstring) inactive against the Panthers, he only managed to corral a quarter of his targets on the afternoon. Zaccheaus will again be a top-three option at wide receiver for the Falcons if Jones is ruled out Week 6 against the Vikings, but it may be tricky to trust him in a starting fantasy lineup, even in a matchup against Minnesota's bottom-five pass defense.
Oct 6, 2020
Atlanta's top target Week 4
Zaccheaus corralled eight of a team-high nine targets for 86 receiving yards during Monday's 30-16 loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
The second-year wideout from Virginia showed signs of fantasy relevance last Sunday against the Bears, playing 79 percent of the offensive snaps after Russell Gage exited with a head injury, and catching four of six targets for 41 yards. Zaccheaus became Matt Ryan's preferred target after Julio Jones exited Monday night's loss with a hamstring injury, and Green Bay's defense decided to focus on containing Calvin Ridley. He had just four career catches for 125 yards in 12 appearances prior to Week 3, but he may provide deep-league utility if Jones proves unable to go in Atlanta's upcoming matchup against the Panthers.
Sep 27, 2020
Comes alive against Bears
Zaccheaus hauled in four of his six targets for 41 receiving yards during Sunday's 30-26 loss to Chicago.
ANALYSIS
With Julio Jones (hamstring) ruled out pre-game and Russell Gage forced to exit partway through Sunday's contest because of a head injury, Zaccheaus suddenly found himself in place as the No. 2 wide receiver within Atlanta's high-flying passing attack. After seeing just one target thrown his way across the first two weeks of 2020, Zaccheaus doubled his previous career-high in catches by corralling four passes from Matt Ryan on Sunday. If Jones and Gage are forced to sit out again when the Falcons take on the Packers next Monday night, Zaccheaus remains situated for increased work in the offense.
Sep 6, 2020
Locked in as No. 4 receiver
Zaccheaus has made the cut for the Falcons' 53-man roster, and he is expected to be the team's No. 4 wide receiver this season, Kelsey Conway of the Falcons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The second-year man Zaccheaus is anticipated to slot in behind Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage at wide receiver, while also playing a significant role on special teams. Now that undrafted rookie Chris Rowland is officially not on the Week 1 roster, it appears Zaccheaus is the go-to option at returner aside from Brandon Powell. Zaccheaus is not expected to be a fixture in fantasy lineups, but if one of the starters at receiver were to miss a game, he may suddenly become fantasy-relevant. The Falcons' offense threw 3.2 more pass attempts per game than any other team in the NFL last season.
Aug 31, 2020
Returns to practice
Zaccheaus was a full participant during Monday's practice, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The second-year man out of Virginia is back on the field after missing time last week with an undisclosed injury. Zaccheaus recorded just three catches as a rookie in 2019, but he did cash in while a 93-yard touchdown during Atlanta's Week 14 victory over the Panthers. The 23-year-old may end up filling out Atlanta's rotation as a depth option at wide receiver, but with his explosiveness Zaccheaus also has potential to become a factor on special teams this season.
Aug 26, 2020
Sitting out Wednesday
Zaccheaus (undisclosed) missed Wednesday's practice, Tori McElhaney of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The specifics of the absence remain unclear, however, it's serious enough for the wideout to miss valuable practice reps. Zaccheaus made a slight impact coming into the league last season as an undrafted free agent, catching three of five targets for 115 yards and a touchdowns in 10 games. As for the injury, it's unclear when Zaccheaus will return to the practice field.
Dec 9, 2019
Role to amplify given Ridley injury
Coach Dan Quinn said Monday that Zaccheaus and Christian Blake will fill Calvin Ridley's role in the offense now that he has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with an abdominal injury, Jason Butt of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Zaccheaus produced an electrifying 93-yard touchdown on his first NFL reception Sunday against the Panthers, and he now figures to see a substantial increase in playing time between Weeks 15 and 17 with Ridley out of the lineup. Prior to his breakout play, Zaccheaus had served primarily as a special-teams contributor when active, playing 60-plus percent of the special-teams snaps in every game between Weeks 10 and 13, but never seeing more than 11 percent of the offensive reps. He'll be in the mix alongside Blake and Justin Hardy to scoop up Ridley's target share in Week 15, when the Falcons take on San Francisco's No. 1 pass defense.
