Backs up Wright after Achane injury
Gordon rushed five times for 17 yards and a touchdown but wasn't targeted in Sunday's 34-10 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Jaylen Wright (24 carries for 107 yards and a touchdown) was the primary beneficiary of De'Von Achane's (ribs) second-quarter exit, but Gordon contributed a seven-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. More opportunities could be available for both Wright and Gordon if Achane's sidelined or limited against the Steelers in Week 15. Gordon has scored a rushing touchdown in two of his last three games, but the rookie sixth-round pick hasn't exceeded 46 rushing yards in any game.

Works alongside Wright
Gordon rushed three times for 10 yards during Sunday's 21-17 win over the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Gordon logged the same number of carries as usual No. 2 running back Jaylen Wright, who managed 16 yards on the ground. Both remain in clear reserve roles behind starter De'Von Achane, who had 22 carries for a whopping 134 yards and one score, but Gordon may be facing actual competition for Wright as the clear No. 2 back in Miami heading into a Week 14 divisional matchup against the Jets.

Gets into end zone in OT win
Gordon rushed nine times for 45 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 16-13 overtime win over the Commanders in Madrid on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The rookie served as a highly effective complementary option to De'Von Achane, who led the way with 120 rushing yards on the day. Gordon made solid contributions on a smaller scale, recording a 20-yard run on his way to the second-highest rushing yardage total of his nascent career. Gordon also punched in his second career rush TD on a one-yard run early in the fourth quarter, rounding out his fantasy day nicely. Gordon's game-to-game production remains volatile, but he'll draw another favorable matchup in a Week 13 home date with the Saints on Sunday, Nov. 30 following a Week 12 bye.

Cleared after full practice Friday
Gordon (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Gordon was limited to one touch in Miami's Week 10 win over the Bills while playing through this ankle injury, so it remains to be seen how change-of-pace duties behind lead back De'Von Achane will be distributed between Gordon and Jaylen Wright, though it's encouraging the Gordon practiced without limitations Friday and avoided an injury designation. The Dolphins will face a slumping Commanders team Sunday morning in Madrid.
Nov 13, 2025
Still limited Thursday
Gordon (knee) remained limited at practice Thursday, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Gordon was also limited Wednesday, so he may need to work fully Friday in order to head into the weekend without an injury designation. In the Dolphins' Week 10 win over the Bills, Gordon logged just three snaps on offense and one carry, while Jaylen Wright was out there for 10 snaps and recorded five carries. Neither back is a high-percentage fantasy lineup option as long as De'Von Achane (22 carries versus Buffalo) remains healthy.
Nov 12, 2025
Limited with ankle injury
Gordon (ankle) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Gordon managed to play through his ankle injury during Miami's win over the bills in Week 10, though he was relegated to the No. 3 backfield role behind De'Von Achane and Jaylen Wright. If Gordon is able to upgrade to full practice reps prior to Sunday's matchup against the Commanders in Madrid, he could again overtake Wright for the top backup gig.
Nov 10, 2025
Works as No. 3 back
Gordon carried the ball once for minus-three yards during Sunday's 30-13 win over the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Gordon was active Sunday despite entering the contest officially listed as questionable due to an ankle injury, but he seceded the No. 2 role to Jaylen Wright, who rushed five times for 17 yards. As has been the case all season, however, it was De'Von Achane who stood out as the offensive engine of the Dolphins' upset divisional win, rushing 22 times for 174 yards and two scores and securing all six of his targets for another 51 receiving yards. Gordon will likely reclaim the top backup gig Week 11 versus the Commanders in Madrid, as long as he's back to full health, but Achane's dominance hasn't left much room for any other running back on this roster to emerge as a fantasy contributor.
Nov 9, 2025
Ready for Week 10
Gordon (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Gordon suffered an ankle injury that caused him to miss the second half of Miami's Week 9 loss to the Ravens. However, he managed to log three limited practices in preparation for the matchup against Buffalo, which was enough for him to suit up. Gordon should get a handful of carries while serving as De'Von Achane's backup.
Nov 7, 2025
Questionable after limited practice
Gordon (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Gordon logged a trio of limited practices during the week. If the backup running back doesn't get the green light to play Sunday, Jaylen Wright would assume change-of-pace duties behind De'Von Achane.
Nov 6, 2025
Limited in practice again
Gordon (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Gordon has now logged back-to-back limited practice sessions after having been forced out of last Thursday's loss to the Ravens early with an ankle injury. If he's able to upgrade to a full practice session Friday, Gordon could avoid an injury designation entirely for Sunday's divisional matchup against the Bills. Jaylen Wright, who was inactive versus Baltimore, will stand to handle a reserve role behind De'Von Achane if Gordon is inactive or at less than full health Week 10.
Nov 5, 2025
Limited in practice Wednesday
Gordon (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Gordon is already handling limited reps after having been forced out of Miami's loss to Baltimore on Thursday due to an ankle injury. The rookie running back is reportedly considered day-to-day, so it wouldn't be out of the question for him to gain clearance in time for Sunday's game against the Bills. Per Furones, he said Wednesday that his ankle is 'OK.' If Gordon isn't able to play Week 10, however, Jaylen Wright will project to handle No. 2 backfield duties behind De'Von Achane.
Oct 31, 2025
Viewed as day-to-day
Gordon (ankle) is considered day-to-day with an ankle sprain, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Gordon, who was forced out of Thursday's 28-6 loss to the Ravens after logging 13 snaps and two carries, should benefit from the fact that the Dolphins don't play again until Nov. 9 against the Bills. Added context regarding the running back's Week 10 status is slated to arrive no later than next week once Miami resumes practicing, but if Gordon ends up limited or sidelined versus Buffalo, Jaylen Wright (a healthy scratch versus Baltimore) would likely rejoin the mix rejoin the backfield mix behind De'Von Achane.
Oct 31, 2025
Walking without issue
Gordon (ankle) was seen walking around the locker room without crutches, Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Gordon suffered what looked to be a potentially serious injury late in the second quarter of Thursday's loss to the Ravens. He didn't re-enter the game, but he appears to have avoided serious injury, though more details should emerge in the coming days. Gordon will also benefit from a few extra days of rest prior to a Week 10 matchup against Buffalo.
Oct 30, 2025
Questionable to return Thursday
Gordon is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Ravens due to an ankle injury, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Gordon was blocking on a play late in the second quarter and a defender rolled up on his leg. He was able to walk off the field and was briefly evaluated in the blue tent prior to heading to the locker room. If Gordon is ruled out, De'Von Achane will be the Dolphins' only remaining running back. Gordon is set to undergo X-rays, per the Amazon broadcast.
Oct 30, 2025
Headed to locker room
Gordon exited Thursday's game against the Ravens and went to the locker room with an apparent lower-body injury, Hal Habib of The Palm Beach Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Gordon was blocking on a play late in the second quarter and was accidentally rolled up on by a Baltimore defender. He briefly went to the blue tent but walked back to the locker room, leaving his ability to return to the game in doubt.

Career-best performance vs. Falcons
Gordon carried the ball 10 times for 46 yards during Miami's 34-10 win over Atlanta on Sunday. He also secured his only target for a 20-yard touchdown.
ANALYSIS
Gordon turned in the best performance of his young career in Week 8, with Tua Tagovailoa in command of a Dolphins offense that not only looked resurgent, but more complete than it had at any prior point this season. The rookie fifth-round pick logged new career-high marks in terms of carries, rushing yardage and receiving yardage versus Atlanta. Gordon is solidified as the No. 2 backfield option behind De'Von Achane, a role that will provide him modest fantasy value if Miami's offense is able to translate the momentum of this Week 8 in into actual consistency. The Dolphins face a difficult upcoming schedule, however, with their next three games coming against the Ravens, Bills and Commanders. Miami's next test will come versus Baltimore on Thursday.

Struggles on ground again
Gordon carried the ball five times for 11 yards during Miami's 31-6 loss to the Browns on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Gordon continues to operate as the Dolphins' clear No. 2 back behind De'Von Achane, a role in which he's combined for 28 carries for 70 rushing yards (2.5 YPC) and one touchdown across seven regular-season appearances this year. He's also secured four of six targets for seven yards during that span. The rookie sixth-round pick projects to continue operating ahead of Jaylen Wright, who was active Week 7 but didn't log a carry, versus the Falcons in Week 8.
Oct 13, 2025
Rough showing in Week 6 loss
Gordon carried the ball twice for one yard during Miami's narrow 29-27 loss to the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Gordon once again struggled to display efficiency while operating as the Dolphins' top reserve backfield option, while starter De'Von Achane gashed Los Angeles with 16 carries for 128 rushing yards (8.0 YPC) and two scores, adding four grabs for 22 yards in the receiving game (six targets). At this stage, Gordon retains fantasy value purely as a handcuff in deeper formats, as his availability has rendered Jaylen Wright a healthy scratch. The rookie sixth-round pick faces a rough matchup on the road against Cleveland in Week 7.
Oct 6, 2025
Inefficient in loss
Gordon rushed three times for minus-2 yards in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
The rookie from Oklahoma State played 14 offensive snaps and served as Miami's top reserve running back again in the Week 5 loss. Gordon has now rushed 21 times for 58 yards and a touchdown this season while catching two of three targets for an additional four yards. He's expected to continue playing a reserve role on the Dolphins' offense in a Week 6 matchup against the Chargers.
Sep 29, 2025
Six carries in Week 4 win
Gordon rushed six times for 10 yards and failed to bring in his only target in the Dolphins' 27-21 win over the Jets on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Gordon found much less running room than backfield mate De'Von Achane, who picked up 99 rushing yards and scored a touchdown on his 20 totes. Gordon now has single-digit rushing yardage totals in three of his first four games, and although he's seen some short-yardage and red-zone work, he saw Achane cash in on an opportunity in the latter capacity with a nine-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. The rookie sixth-round pick fantasy prospects remain modest heading into a Week 5 road matchup against the Panthers that is favorable for ground attacks.
Sep 19, 2025
Scores first pro TD in loss
Gordon rushed nine times for 38 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 31-21 loss to the Bills on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
The rookie sixth-round pick capped off the opening possession of the night with a two-yard touchdown run, his first NFL score. Gordon had logged only three total carries through the first two games, making his workload boost Thursday night particularly notable. Lead back De'Von Achane finished with just three more carries than Gordon, although the former was also targeted nine times. Given Gordon was productive with his opportunities against Buffalo, he could fill a complementary role once again in a Week 4 home matchup against the Jets on Monday night, Sept. 29.
Sep 15, 2025
Minor role in Week 2 loss
Gordon rushed once for eight yards and secured his only target for five yards during Miami's 33-27 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Gordon was again relegated to a reserve backfield role behind starter De'Von Achane, even with Jaylen Wright (knee) sidelined a second straight week. With Wright seemingly a candidate to retake the field in time to suit up Thursday night against the Bills in Week 3, Gordon's path to consistent offensive touches may only become more cloudy in the immediate future. The rookie sixth-round pick's involvement could ramp up as the season progresses, but for now Gordon is outside the field of consideration for weekly fantasy lineups.
Sep 7, 2025
Limited to three touches Sunday
Gordon rushed twice for four yards and brought in his only target for minus-1 yard in the Dolphins' 33-8 loss to the Colts on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Gordon came into his first professional regular-season game with the prospect of seeing a solid No. 2 role behind De'Von Achane. However, a wild first half that saw the Colts establish a 20-0 lead by intermission essentially nullified the ground attack, with Achane himself logging just seven carries on the day. As a result, Gordon was rendered a non-factor, but he could be in line for more opportunities during a Week 2 home matchup against the Patriots since Jaylen Wright (knee) is expected to remain sidelined for that contest.
Aug 28, 2025
Facing early-season opportunity
Gordon looks set for a chance to immediately contribute on offense Week 1 versus the Colts, with De'Von Achane (calf) expected to play but Jaylen Wright (leg) a candidate to miss multiple weeks after undergoing surgery, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Gordon is fresh off an impressive preseason and is currently the only healthy running back on Miami's active roster, though Achane is expected to be ready for Week 1 despite not having practiced since Aug. 16. The team has added a pair of depth backfield options to the practice squad in Jeff Wilson and JaMycal Hasty, but after looking like the Dolphins' best running back in three consecutive preseason games, Gordon should be the favorite to handle any additional available backfield reps Week 1. If Achane ends up limited in practice leading up to the regular-season opener, it's possible Gordon is tasked with a significant workload.
Aug 23, 2025
Concludes impressive preseason
Gordon rushed the ball eight times for 43 yards in Saturday's 14-6 preseason win over the Jaguars. He did not catch his only target.
ANALYSIS
Both De'Von Achane (calf) and Jaylen Wright (leg) were out, which allowed Gordon to take the field with much of Miami's starting offense. He didn't have any big plays, but he consistently picked up needed chunks of yardage to continue his impressive summer. While the Dolphins have suggested that Achane will be ready for Week 1 against the Colts, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Gordon operate as his primary backup.
Aug 16, 2025
Best RB again in preseason win
Gordon rushed 10 times for 50 yards during Miami's 24-17 win over Detroit on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Gordon has looked like the Dolphins' best running back in two consecutive preseason matchups, with his performance Saturday having been vastly superior to Jaylen Wright's four carries for three yards. Head coach Mike McDaniel said Saturday that De'Von Achane (lower body) has a soft-tissue injury, and though he said the starting running back's issue isn't serious, that should provide a window for Gordon and Wright to handle the bulk of first-team reps for the immediate future, as well as potentially start the team's preseason finale against Jacksonville on Sat., Aug. 23. The Dolphins recently placed Alexander Mattison (neck) on season-ending IR due to an injury sustained in the exhibition opener, paving an easier path for one of Gordon or Wright to secure the No. 2 backfield role.
Aug 10, 2025
Outplays team's other RBs Sunday
Gordon rushed eight times for 33 yards and a touchdown while catching one of three targets for 39 yards in Sunday's 24-24 preseason tie against the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Gordon's touchdown came on a one-yard run in the fourth quarter. Jaylen Wright and Alexander Mattison (neck) entered the game prior to Gordon and each had a touchdown run as well, so Gordon still has some ground to make up in the competition to back up De'Von Achane, even with Mattison getting hurt Sunday. Gordon, whom the Dolphins selected in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, will look to build on this strong debut in the team's second preseason game against the Lions on Saturday.
Apr 26, 2025
Slide ends in Miami
The Dolphins selected Gordon in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 179th overall.
ANALYSIS
A year ago, it would have been considered a big surprise for Gordon to last this long in the draft. He was coming off a monstrous sophomore season at Oklahoma State with 285 carries for 1,732 yards and 21 rushing touchdowns. His junior year did not go as planned, however. Gordon's YPC dropped from 6.08 to 4.63, and he was held to 880 rushing yards on 190 attempts. The combine didn't help his stock much, as he tested below average in the 40 (4.61) and in the vertical (34.5). His fit in Miami is good, though. The Dolphins have two smaller, speedier backs and needed to add some thump. Gordon can provide that at 6-foot-1 and 226 pounds. The upside case for Gordon would be taking over a short-yardage and goal-line role in Miami.
