He could remain regularly involved alongside rookie Jonathan Mingo even when Chark returns to his starting place behind Adam Thielen.

That production marked improvement from his rookie year, all the while dealing with a rotating cast of quarterbacks. Marshall will hope to retain his starting role behind DJ Moore in 2023, but as Carolina likely strives to increase its offensive upside, it wouldn't be surprising if Marshall's spot comes under competition prior to next season.

Marshall also coughed the ball up twice but didn't lose either fumble. The wideout had topped 50 yards in consecutive contests entering Sunday, so he'll strive to bounce back and finish the season strong in Week 18 versus his home-state Saints.

Marshall again finished second on the Panthers in receiving, going for gains of 36 and 19 yards. Although he lacks volume in the passing game, Marshall's average of 18.8 yards per catch offers value through big plays.

Marshall's total included a 40-yard gain during the first quarter. In the end, only top wideout DJ Moore had more receptions and targets than Marshall. After hardly being used during the start of the season, last year's second-rounder has now topped 50 yards four times in his last seven outings.

Marshall has now made just one reception in back-to-back games. Although fellow starting wideout DJ Moore posted a goose egg Sunday, Marshall's lack of production with quarterback Sam Darnold should temper his already lukewarm stock in Week 15 versus the Steelers.

Marshall's three targets were the second most of any Panthers pass catcher behind only DJ Moore, who finished with four catches on six targets for 103 yards and a touchdown. Marshall just couldn't get anything going on a day when Darnold threw for only 164 yards. The second-year wideout will look to build chemistry with his signal caller as the team enters their bye week. The Panthers visit the Seahawks in Week 14, and Marshall will look to take a step forward and improve upon his underwhelming Week 12 performance.

The 22-year-old was considered questionable for Sunday's contest, but it's no surprise he'll be suiting up after he practiced Friday with no limitations. Marshall has 13 receptions for 290 yards and one touchdown in five games since Robbie Anderson was traded to the Cardinals, though he'll have to contend with another quarterback change with Sam Darnold taking over under center versus Denver.

While the full participation makes Marshall likely to play, cautious fantasy managers will want to make sure he's not named on the inactive list around 11:30 a.m. ET this Sunday. Marshall will remain off the fantasy radar when the Panthers host the Saints in Week 3.

The Panthers did sign David Moore away from Seattle this offseason, and it should come as any surprise if the veteran gets more work with the first-team offense this summer.
