Lawrence put together another lackluster stat line, but he leveraged the strong work of his ground game and defense for an easy win. Both of the fourth-year signal-caller's touchdowns came from one yard out, recording a short scoring run with just under eight minutes remaining in the third quarter and had a short scoring toss to Tim Patrick early in the final period. Lawrence has now been under 200 passing yards in consecutive games and on four occasions overall this season, and he'll next face off with the inconsistent Cardinals defense in a Week 12 road matchup.

The fifth-year quarterback had a tough day against a fierce Houston defense, getting sacked five times and committing two fumbles, losing one of them. Lawrence has thrown for multiple TDs only twice in nine games to begin the season, and on the year he has a rough 10:7 TD:INT. He faces another stingy opponent in Week 11 against the Chargers, a matchup that could be even tougher if Brian Thomas (ankle) remains sidelined.

Lawrence overcame an illness in order to suit up and lead his team to a thrilling victory in extra time Sunday. The 2021 first-overall pick failed to throw a touchdown pass for the second time this season. Unlike his performance against Houston in Week 3, Lawrence was able to reward managers with his second multi-score game on the ground this season. The Clemson product has seen his production from the pocket take a hit in 2025, as he is currently sporting a completion percentage worse than the 60 percent mark from his rookie year. While the unexpected rushing production was well received, Lawrence simply isn't doing enough as a passer (nine touchdowns to six picks) to warrant a consistent starting spot in standard formats. The 5-3 Jaguars will face a stiff test against the Texans' stingy defense next Sunday.

Jacksonville announced that Lawrence is dealing with an illness, but his status for Sunday's game against the Raiders is unaffected, and he remains on track to start, J.P. Shadrick of the Jaguars' official site reports.

While fantasy managers who are planning on using Lawrence in Week 9 lineups can probably still feel comfortable doing so, the fact that he's under the weather could result him playing at something less than 100 percent health coming out of the Jaguars' Week 8 bye. In addition to battling the illness, Lawrence will have to make do without one of his top pass catchers in rookie wideout/cornerback Travis Hunter (knee), who was surprisingly moved to injured reserve Friday and will now miss at least four games.

Lawrence completed 23 of 48 passes for 296 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 35-7 loss to the Rams. He added 18 rushing yards on two carries.

The Jaguars were staring at a 21-0 deficit at halftime, so Lawrence was forced to put the ball in the air most of the second half. The volume led to a season high in passing yards for the fifth-year QB, as well as Travis Hunter's first career TD reception, but it also led to Lawrence being sacked seven times. He'll take a mediocre 9:5 TD:INT through seven games into Jacksonville's Week 8 bye.

Lawrence's final passing line with more than adequate, but he also took seven sacks and finished with an ugly 46.6 QBR for the afternoon. Despite the solid numbers, the modest point total did Jacksonville in Sunday, a matter he'll look to rectify in a London matchup against the high-powered Rams in Week 7.

Lawrence completed 18 of 25 passes for 221 yards with one touchdown and one interception while adding 10 carries for 54 yards and two more scores in the Jaguars' 31-28 win over the Chiefs on Monday night. He also lost a fumble.

Lawrence put the Jaguars on his shoulders for the majority of the night despite a critical early second-quarter fumble at Kansas City's one-yard line, helping spearhead a comeback from an early 14-0 deficit with a three-yard touchdown pass to Parker Washington and the first of two rushing scores to knot the game back up just before the halfway point of the third quarter. Lawrence is still a work in progress in head coach Liam Coen's offense, but he completed a season-best 72.0 percent of his passes Monday night ahead of a Week 6 home matchup against a Seahawks defense that allowed the Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield to complete 29 of 33 passes for 379 yards and two TDs in Seattle's Week 5 loss.

Lawrence completed 21 of 31 pass attempts for 174 yards and a touchdown while taking seven carries for seven yards in Sunday's 26-21 win over the 49ers.

Lawrence played the role of game manager Sunday, protecting the football with safe, short throws en route to Jacksonville's third win of the season. It was still a lackluster showing from a fantasy perspective after the fifth-year pro failed to score multiple touchdowns for the third time in four starts this year. Lawrence has the Jaguars looking strong out of the gates, but his play does not inspire hope in fantasy circles heading into a tough matchup against the Chiefs next Monday.

Lawrence completed 20 of 40 passes for 222 yards with no touchdowns and one interception while rushing twice for nine yards in the Jaguars' 17-10 win over the Texans on Sunday.

Lawrence averaged just 5.6 yards per attempt while failing to throw a touchdown for the first time in three games this season. The 2021 first overall pick spread the ball around to nine different pass catchers overall, but he leveraged another impressive performance by his defense to help the Jaguars garner their second win of the season. To date, Lawrence has concerningly completed just 55.8 of his passes in head coach Liam Coen's typically QB-friendly offense, and he draws another tough matchup in a Week 4 road clash against the 49ers.

Lawrence completed 24 of 42 passes for 271 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions while adding two rushes for four yards in the Jaguars' 31-27 loss to the Bengals on Sunday. He also fumbled once but recovered.

Lawrence had the Jaguars in position for a win until the Bengals managed to rally behind Jake Browning on a 15-play, 92-yard touchdown drive. Lawrence put together an impressive performance overall that included touchdown passes to Dyami Brown (nine yards), Bhayshul Tuten (eight yards) and Travis Etienne (11 yards), but he also short-circuited two Jacksonville drives in the first half with interceptions at the Bengals' three-yard line and his own 34-yard line. The two plays would help lead to a combined 10 points for Cincinnati, certainly key developments in such a close game. Lawrence also continued to struggle in his connection with No. 1 receiver Brian Thomas (four catches on 12 targets), and the duo will encounter a tough defensive matchup in a Week 3 home date against the Texans next Sunday.

It was an odd game that saw the Jaguars take a 20-3 lead into halftime, but only after a lengthy weather delay in the middle of the second quarter due to lightning. Whether that delay impacted Lawrence's performance is tough to say, but he didn't need to do much in the second half. New coach Liam Coen led Baker Mayfield to a career-best season with the Buccaneers in 2024, and while he could eventually do the same for Lawrence, the jury is very much still out. He'll look to deliver better numbers on the road in Week 2 in what could be a barn burner against Joe Burrow and the Bengals.

With coach Liam Coen noting Thursday that the Jaguars' starters won't play in Saturday's preseason finale against the Dolphins, per Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union, Lawrence's next game action will occur in Week 1 against the Panthers.

As the team's regular-season opener approaches, the Jaguars will focus on keeping Lawrence -- who was limited to 10 games last season -- healthy and ready to face Carolina. As long as he can avoid injuries, Lawrence is bounce-back candidate this year while working with Coen, who's coming off a successful season as Tampa's Bay's offensive coordinator. In addition to ascending second-year wideout Brian Thomas, Travis Hunter, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, provides Lawrence with another intriguing playmaker in a pass-catching corps that also includes WRs Dyami Brown and Parker Washington, as well as TE Brenton Strange.

Lawrence completed eight of 10 passes for 76 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-17 preseason tie against the Saints. He also rushed once for no gain and lost a fumble.

Lawrence and the starters played two drives and moved the ball well. Lawrence and the starters will suit up for action in a second consecutive preseason contest, after he completed six of seven passes for 43 yards in his lone drive against Pittsburgh in last week's exhibition opener. However, with Travis Hunter (upper body) having been held out of practice Friday, the rookie first-round pick's availability remains uncertain. With or without Hunter on Sunday, though, Lawrence will have plenty of pass-catching weapons to utilize, with all of Brian Thomas, Dyami Brown, Parker Washington and TE Brenton Strange on track to suit up on the road in New Orleans.

Lawrence completed six of seven passes for 43 yards in Saturday's 31-25 preseason loss to the Steelers.

Lawrence played Jacksonville's first offensive possession and led the offense to a field goal. He was accurate but threw exclusively short passes, with his longest completion going for only 11 yards. Lawrence played with the entire first-team offense, and it's unclear if coach Liam Cohen plans for his starting quarterback to retake the field during the preseason.

Coach Liam Coen announced Thursday that the Jaguars plan to play their starters (including Lawrence) versus the Steelers in Saturday's preseason opener, John Shipley of SI.com reports.

Per the report, Coen indicated that getting Lawrence and the Jaguars' key healthy players some game reps this weekend would be beneficial, as they transition to the team's new offensive scheme. That said, Coen didn't specify how long Lawrence would stay in Saturday's game before giving way to some combo of fellow QBs Nick Mullens, John Wolford and Seth Henigan.

Lawrence (shoulder) said Wednesday that he's 100 percent healthy entering training camp, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official website reports.

"I feel really good," Lawrence said "It's the best I felt in a long time physically." Lawrence played in just 10 regular-season games last season due to a concussion and left (non-throwing) shoulder injury, the latter which required surgery. Lawrence was taking it slow during the offseason program, but he's back to full health and rejuvenated in new coach Liam Coen's offense. The Jaguars return Brian Thomas as the alpha WR1 and used the No. 2 overall pick on Travis Hunter. Lawrence is an intriguing mid-round fantasy quarterback who could greatly outproduce his average draft position if he's able to spike his touchdown rate in an offense flush with playmakers.

Jaguars head coach Liam Coen said Tuesday at the start of mandatory minicamp that Lawrence (shoulder) is wearing a sleeve on his right throwing arm due to "general soreness" related to the amount of throwing he did at voluntary OTAs last week, James Palmer of 104.3 The Fan reports.

Coen said Lawrence "feels good" and indicated that any limitations the quarterback faces at minicamp are maintenance-related, as he continues to work his way back from surgery undergone last December to address an AC joint sprain in his left, non-throwing shoulder. Lawrence reportedly looked sharp at OTAs while building chemistry with his new-look wide receiver corps, which added rookie second overall pick Travis Hunter and veteran Dyami Brown in the offseason. Hunter and Brown join budding superstar Brian Thomas, who strung together a 87-1,282-10 receiving line across 17 regular-season appearances as a rookie despite Lawrence starting just 10 of those games, replacing departed veterans Christian Kirk and TE Evan Engram. All indications are that Lawrence remains on track to be fully cleared for the start of training camp,

Coen singled out Lawrence's "quick decisions" in 11-on-11 red-zone work as praiseworthy, also noting that the fifth-year pro "has done a nice job with his footwork," an area of emphasis for the new offensive scheme. As Oehser notes, the 2021 first overall pick is currently learning his third offensive system in five seasons, but there's reason to be confident in Coen's scheme being the best fit of the bunch for Lawrence, given his track record as offensive coordinator for the Rams and Buccaneers. Lawrence is over six months removed from surgery undergone to address an AC joint sprain in his left, non-throwing shoulder, and he remains on track to be fully cleared for the start of training camp. Rookie No. 2 overall pick Travis Hunter has begun the offseason focusing on the offensive side of the ball, providing Lawrence another potential star wideout to join 2024 first-round phenom Brian Thomas. Lawrence (shoulder) will be limited during the spring as he continues to recovery from AC joint surgery, Mike DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

Lawrence underwent surgery on his left, non-throwing shoulder Dec. 17 and was in a sling until late January. While the Jaguars plan to bring him along slowly, he's expected to be fully cleared for the start of training camp later this summer. "We're optimistic that we'll get there in terms of where we need to go," coach Liam Coen said Wednesday. "He'll be on a pitch count for those things. In terms of the where he has to get to, because he has little touch points he needs to reach before he can obviously get out onto the grass and do it full speed, everything's moving forward. He feels really good right now, so excited about that." Lawrence relayed that he's "very optimistic" he'll be ready well ahead of Week 1.

Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said Lawrence underwent surgery Tuesday to repair the AC joint sprain in his left shoulder, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

Surgery for Lawrence's sprained non-throwing shoulder was always on the docket after the Jaguars placed him on injured reserve Dec. 4, but the quarterback waited until he cleared concussion protocol before having the procedure. Now that he's no longer dealing with concussion symptoms from the hit to head he took from the Texans' Azeez Al-Shaair in the Jaguars' Week 13 loss, Lawrence will turn his focus to rehabbing and strengthening the shoulder. Pederson said he expects Lawrence to be a full participant when the Jaguars kick off their offseason program in the spring.

Regardless of the exact timing of surgery, Lawrence won't play again this season and should have plenty of time to recover before Week 1 of 2025. It's his left, non-throwing shoulder that will be operated on, which means there shouldn't be much impact for next season even if the process is delayed a few weeks. Jacksonville's roster and/or coaching staff may look very different by the time Lawrence is healthy.

Lawrence (concussion) is expected to miss the rest of the season, as he's slated to undergo surgery to repair the AC joint sprain in his left shoulder in the next few weeks, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Lawrence sat out Weeks 11 and 12 due to the shoulder injury, and in his return to action this past Sunday, he was on the receiving end of a vicious hit from Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair in the second quarter, suffering a concussion in the process. Lawrence thus will end the 2024 campaign having completing 172 of 284 attempts (60.6 percent) for 2,045 yards, 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions, recording 26 carries for 119 yards and three more TDs and fumbling three times (one lost). Mac Jones will direct Jacksonville's offense moving forward.

The 2-10 Jaguars are in last place in the AFC South and are, of course, extreme long shots to make the postseason. Also dealing with a shoulder issue that could require offseason surgery, the team may not feel it's worth putting Lawrence back out on the field in 2024. Mac Jones replaced Lawrence versus Houston and completed 20 of 32 passes for 235 yards and two touchdowns in relief, almost leading a comeback after the Jaguars were down 23-6 in the fourth quarter.

The 24-year-old quarterback came eight yards shy of his second 300-yard performance of 2023 after reaching that mark four times in 2022.

Lawrence and head coach Doug Pederson should shed more light on the quarterback's status for the Week 7 contest later Tuesday or after Wednesday's light practice.

Jacksonville held a walkthrough practice Monday, so Lawrence's 'DNP' designation is an estimation. Still, after coach Doug Pederson called the quarterback "day-to-day" per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, that estimation appears accurate. Jacksonville has expressed optimism that the starting quarterback isn't dealing with a long-term injury, but with a short turnaround before Thursday's road matchup against the Saints, it's possible backup C.J. Beathard ends up drawing a start. Lawrence will have two more chances to log some amount of practice activity before being tagged with an injury designation for Week 7.

Lawrence (knee) will undergo an MRI on Monday but is currently considered day-to-day, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The Jaguars are cautiously optimistic that Lawrence has avoided a serious injury, and the results of his MRI should reveal more concrete information shortly. Lawrence faces a quick turnaround heading into a Thursday Night Football matchup against New Orleans on the road, but Rapoport reports that the hope in Jacksonville is that the franchise quarterback will suit up. If the knee injury sustained during Sunday's 37-20 win over the Colts were to cause Lawrence to miss time, though, it would fall to C.J. Beathard to steady things under center.

Following Sunday's 37-20 win over the Colts, Lawrence indicated that he feels okay, but noted that he is slated to get his left knee checked out , Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

Per DiRocco, Lawrence indicated that he wasn't sure if he twisted his knee but did relay that there is some bruising. On the plus side, the QB wasn't sporting a wrap, sleeve or brace on his leg after Sunday's contest, but with the Jaguars heading into a short week, Lawrence's status will need to be monitored closely as Thursday night's game against the Saints approaches.

Lawrence exited late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 37-20 win over the Colts with a knee injury and didn't return, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Lawrence sustained the injury when he was sacked with just over three minutes remaining in the fourth. Jacksonville initially listed Lawrence as questionable to return after he was able to walk off the field under his own power, but because the Jaguars were holding a 17-point lead when they got the ball back with 1:45 left in the game, C.J. Beathard ended up taking the snaps for the final possession. During his three-plus quarters of action Sunday, Lawrence completed 20 of his 30 passing attempts for 181 yards with two touchdowns and an interception to go with three carries for 15 yards. Jacksonville plays again Thursday versus New Orleans, so Lawrence's status will need to be monitored closely ahead of the Week 7 contest.

Lawrence completed 25 of 37 passes for 315 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 25-20 win over Buffalo. He also rushed seven times for 31 yards and fumbled three times, losing two.

Lawrence threw for over 300 yards for the first time this season and went without an interception for the second straight contest, but he still had trouble with ball security Sunday with three fumbles on five sacks. The 24-year-old was still able to lead Jacksonville to its second straight win, though he'll need to improve his ball security going forward with two interceptions and six fumbles (three lost) through five games.

Lawrence completed 23 of 30 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-7 win over the Falcons. He also rushed eight times for 42 yards.

Lawrence opened the scoring by finding Calvin Ridley for a 30-yard touchdown during the first quarter. Most of his completions went to Christian Kirk or Evan Engram, though, as that duo combined for 15 receptions on 20 targets. Although Lawrence didn't seem to see Kirk on a couple open routes into the end zone, he at least compensated with some production as a runner, at one point gaining 22 yards on the ground. With no turnovers, either, it was a solid display to earn a victory ahead of Week 5's showdown against Josh Allen and the Bills in London.

Lawrence's final line may have looked aesthetically pleasing from a fantasy standpoint, but the way the game actually played out on the field for the third-year signal-caller was a lot different. Lawrence wasn't sacked and his one pick only led to a Houston field goal that didn't have a significant impact on the game, but he surprisingly couldn't consistently find success against the Texans defense and was also partly saddled with unfortunate circumstances that included a blocked field goal and a fumble. Lawrence also barely avoided a second straight touchdown-less performance when he hit Christian Kirk for a 26-yard score early in the fourth quarter, and he'll now turn his attention to helping the reeling Jaguars upend the Falcons in a Week 4 London matchup.

Lawrence completed 22 of 41 passes for 216 yards without a touchdown or interception in Sunday's 17-9 loss to Kansas City. He added five rushing attempts for 26 yards and fumbled twice, losing one.

Lawrence didn't lead a touchdown drive and failed on two crucial fourth downs in Kansas City territory, getting sacked by Chris Jones in the second quarter and throwing an incomplete pass from the 16-yard line on Jacksonville's final possession. After topping 250 yards in eight of 17 games last season, Lawrence has fallen short of that mark twice in as many games heading into a Week 3 home game against the Texans, who held him to 438 yards and a 0:3 TD:INT across two meetings in 2022.

Lawrence completed 24 of 32 passes for 241 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in Sunday's 31-21 win over the Colts. He also added 21 rushing yards on seven carries.

Jacksonville was down 21-17 heading into the fourth quarter as Lawrence's offensive line had trouble containing DeForest Buckner and the Indy pass rush, but the third-year quarterback caught fire down the stretch and led the Jags on back-to-back TD drives with less than six minutes left on the clock. Lawrence had a fairly narrow target tree in Week 1, as four Jaguars (Calvin Ridley, Zay Jones, Evan Engram and Travis Etienne) accounted for 23 of his 24 completions. Lawrence will take some momentum into a potential Week 2 barnburner against Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City, in an AFC Divisional Round rematch from last season.

Lawrence got off to a hot start by completing passes of 11 yards to Calvin Ridley and 13 and 11 yards to Luke Farrell as part of a 12-play, 78-yard march, but the possession ended with a Tank Bigsby fumble at the one-yard line. Undeterred, Lawrence came back to helm a 12-play, 80-yard drive on Jacksonville's second possession, one that included a 28-yard connection with Ridley. The 2021 first-overall pick's night was a success overall despite the lack of a touchdown pass, and he'll now turn his focus to a Week 1 AFC South road battle against Anthony Richardson and the Colts on Sunday, Sept. 10.

While other signal callers around the league have different things to play for during the last weekend of the regular season, Lawrence and the 8-8 Jaguars will be all-in Saturday, with the AFC South title on the line. Through 16 games to date, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft has recorded 3,901 passing yards to go along with 24 TDs and eight picks.

Since the toe injury first surfaced in Jacksonville's Week 13 loss to Detroit, Lawrence has started each of the Jaguars' last four games, completing 69.1 percent of his passes for 7.8 yards per attempt and a 7:2 TD:INT while adding 83 yards and two scores on the ground.

The Jaguars, meanwhile, should have all their starters on offense available, apart from LT Cam Robinson (who suffered a season-ending meniscus injury mid-December).

Per Adam Stites of USA Today, coach Doug Pederson previously noted that he has no plans to rest any of his healthy starters this weekend. With that in mind, John Oehser of the team's official site relays that no matter what happens versus Houston on Sunday, the AFC South title will be on the line in Week 18, when Jacksonville faces Tennessee, while a scenario exists in which the Jaguars could still secure a wild-card spot even if they lose to the Titans.

While the numbers were much less gaudy than during the Jaguars' rousing second-half comeback overtime win against the Cowboys four days earlier, Lawrence was more than effective enough to help lead his squad to a big late-season win in a hostile environment against a high-caliber defense. The 2021 first overall pick focused most on tight end Evan Engram, who he peppered with eight targets. Lawrence completed passes to seven other players as well, and he recorded his third rushing touchdown of the season on a one-yard run with 11:26 remaining in the first half. The second-year pro got his one major mistake out of the way early, fumbling on a sack at his own 19-yard-line on the first possession of the game. With the Jags remaining in the thick of the AFC wild-card picture, Lawrence will now set his sights on a Week 17 divisional road battle versus the Texans a week from Sunday.

The 23-year-old delivered the best game of his young career last week against the Titans, completing 30 of 42 passes for 368 yards and three touchdowns. He's completed 71.8 percent of his passes with 10 touchdowns and zero interceptions over the past five games.

At this stage, Pederson told Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com that he's unsure if Lawrence will be able to play through the injury in the Jaguars' Week 14 game at Tennessee, but the second-year signal-caller will get "mental reps" at Wednesday's walk-through session to keep himself prepared to start if he's able to receive the green light this weekend.

Lawrence and the Jaguars offense were no match in terms of keeping up with a nearly flawless, high-powered Lions attack, and the second-year signal-caller survived an injury scare on the last play of the second quarter when his leg was bent awkwardly under him on a sack, but he was ultimately able to walk off under his own power to the locker room at halftime and never missed a play. However, he finished with his fourth sub-200-yard passing yardage tally of the season and saw a streak of multi-touchdown efforts snapped at two. Lawrence and his teammates face an uphill battle in terms of trying to bounce back in a tough Week 14 road battle against the Titans.

Lawrence had an impressive performance and managed the third three-touchdown performance of his career. He delivered those scores from 27, one and 10 yards away, the final of which came with only 14 seconds left in the game. It was also an impressive effort from an efficiency perspective, as Lawrence averaged 8.7 yards per attempt and completed five passes of more than 20 yards. Though he's remained inconsistent, Lawrence has multiple touchdowns or topped 300 passing yards in five of his 11 games on the campaign.

Lawrence completed 29 of 40 passes for 259 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions and added four rushes for 26 yards in the Jaguars' 27-17 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.

Lawrence took five sacks overall, but he still found a way to a very productive fantasy day overall that included a pair of touchdown passes to Christian Kirk. It was the second-year signal-caller's first time since Week 4 with multiple touchdown passes, while his yardage total qualified as his second highest over the last four games. Lawrence will have a chance to continue honing his already solid chemistry with the likes of Kirk, Zay Jones and Marvin Jones during the Week 11 bye ahead of a Week 12 home matchup against the Ravens.

Even in a comeback effort, Lawrence took a back seat to Travis Etienne in the offense. Lawrence also showed a particular connection with Christian Kirk, connecting with him for his longest gain through the air of 23 yards and also for his lone passing score of seven yards. While it was an encouraging performance from Lawrence, he has failed to record multiple passing touchdowns in five consecutive games. On the other hand, he's shown surprising upside on the ground, totaling three rushing scores in that same span.

Lawrence had a tough task facing one of the best secondaries in the league, but the results were particularly ugly. He averaged only 4.3 yards per target and threw multiple interceptions in a game for only the second time this season -- one of which came at Denver's goal line. After starting the campaign with multiple touchdown passes in three of the team's first four games, Lawrence has now failed to do so in four consecutive matchups.

After benefiting from the NFL's latest controversial roughing the passer penalty, Lawrence snuck over the goal line for a one-yard touchdown on the first drive of the second half to give Jacksonville a 17-13 lead. Another Lawrence sneak attempt early in the fourth quarter was less effective, as he failed to convert a 4th and 1 from New York's 20-yard line. Down 23-17 in the final minute, Lawrence had a sack and an interception erased by another pair of penalties on the Giants, then gained 15 yards on yet another roughing the passer call, but the help from the referees still wasn't enough as the Jaguars fell to 2-5 while Lawrence finished without a passing touchdown for the 10th time in 24 NFL starts. With a stingy Broncos pass defense in town next week, Lawrence's upside as a passer will remain limited in Week 8.

Lawrence completed 20 of 22 passes for 163 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in the Jaguars' 34-27 loss to the Colts on Sunday. He also rushed six times for 23 yards and two touchdowns.

Lawrence's near-perfect day in terms of completion percentage netted a modest yardage total, but he made up for it with his one- and two-yard touchdown runs. Lawrence connected with eight different pass catchers overall and hit Christian Kirk for a four-yard touchdown pass with 2:44 remaining to cap off an 18-play, 84-yard march, only to see Matt Ryan lead the Colts down the field on 11 plays for the game-winning score. Lawrence now has a pair of sub-200-yard passing yardage tallies in the last three games, an undesirable trend he'll look to break out of in a Week 7 home matchup against the Giants.

Lawrence completed 25 of 47 pass attempts for 286 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions while adding 29 yards on four carries in Sunday's 13-6 loss to Houston.

Lawrence failed to deliver at key points of long drives, which explains his new season high in yards despite leading zero touchdown drives. Last year's first-overall pick didn't have any fumbles after losing four last week, but he threw an untimely redzone interception in the second quarter and ended the game with a second pick on an underthrown Hail Mary attempt. Lawrence has shown a slight improvement over his rough rookie campaign, but the results haven't matched the hype so far from a fantasy perspective. Things won't get easier for the sophomore quarterback, as the Jaguars will take on a stout Indianapolis defense that could have star linebacker Shaquille Leonard (concussion) back by next Sunday.

Lawrence completed 11 of 23 pass attempts for 174 yards, two touchdowns, one interception and four lost fumbles in Sunday's 29-21 loss to Philadelphia.

Lawrence got off to blazing start with two quick touchdowns to put his team up 14-0 in the first quarter. That's where the positive reviews end for the sophomore quarterback, as he was figured out by the Eagles' defense from there on out and watched the game literally slip from his hands (career high four fumbles lost). The 22-year-old appeared to be figuring things out over the last couple of weeks, but Sunday's backslide brings his season averages back down to 236.5 passing yards per game with an 8:6 TD:TO ratio. Lawrence will get an opportunity to redeem himself next Sunday in a soft matchup against the Texans.

Lawrence completed 28 of 39 passes for 262 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 38-10 win over the Chargers.

The second-year QB put together one of the best performances of his young career, hitting all three of his top wideouts (Christian Kirk, Marvin Jones and Zay Jones) for scores while also tossing a two-point conversion to Evan Engram. Lawrence is thriving under new head coach Doug Pederson, posting a 6:1 TD:INT through the first three games of 2022, but he'll likely need to stay productive in Week 4 if the Jaguars are going to stay competitive on the road against Jalen Hurts and the Eagles.

Lawrence's performances haven't been perfect to begin the season, but he has looked far more comfrotable as a professional quarterback.

Lawrence and the entire Jaguars' offense got off to a slow start, but sophomore quarterback got things rolling in the second half, highlighted by a 49-yard bomb to Christian Kirk. The 22-year-old was attempting to complete an impressive comeback drive in the closing moments of the contest, but he was harassed in the pocket and threw up a lame duck that was easily intercepted. The lack of protection seemed to be a recurring theme after last year's inconsistent line play. Lawrence's fantasy managers are hoping that the quarterback's protection problems and high rate of interceptions will get ironed out next Sunday against the Colts.

His next appearance will be Week 1 at Washington, facing a defense that was one of the league's best in 2020 and one of the worst in 2021. No team allowed more fantasy points to quarterbacks last year.

Beathard vs. Luton for the backup job may be the only real competition in the QB room this summer, but it's also a crucial time in Lawrence's career as he prepares for his second NFL season with the help of a new coaching staff. The Jaguars also gave him a bit more on-field help this year, signing RG Brandon Scherff and WRs Christian Kirk and Zay Jones in the offseason. We'll likely see Lawrence in action later this preseason, if only for a few drives.

The 2021 No. 1 overall pick endured a difficult rookie campaign during which he completed 60 percent of his passes for 3,641 yards with 12 touchdowns and 17 interceptions, and he also rushed for 334 yards and two touchdowns while losing five fumbles. The typical rookie difficulties were exacerbated by previous coach Urban Meyer's dysfunctional leadership, but Lawrence now has a fully revamped coaching staff, led by new head coach Doug Pederson. Jacksonville also spent in free agency on WR Christian Kirk, WR Zay Jones, TE Evan Engram and G Brandon Scherff, which is a significant boost over his previous supporting cast. Lawrence's outlook is certainly improved heading into 2022 compared to where he finished last season, but it remains to be seen if that results in him being even a semi-reliable option for fantasy managers.

Lawrence helped the Jaguars to an upset win and threw for multiple touchdowns for the first time since Week 1 in the process. He showed particular rapport with Marvin Jones, which culminated in a three-yard score late in the third quarter. While the Jaguars squandered good field position to settle for field goals on a few occasions, Lawrence averaged 7.0 yards per attempt and has hit that mark in three consecutive games to close the campaign. That's a relatively low mark when compared to even mediocre quarterbacks around the league, though Lawrence had accomplished that feat only three times in his first 14 games as a pro. His rookie season didn't go as planned, but Lawrence still showed flashes of promise to suggest that he is the franchise quarterback the Jaguars believed they were selecting with the top pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Lawrence completed 17 of 27 passes for 193 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions during Sunday's 50-10 loss to the Patriots. He added two carries for 16 yards.

Lawrence connected with Dare Ogunbowale for a score on a 28-yard screen pass, but it was otherwise another ugly performance from the rookie quarterback and the Jacksonville offense. It was Lawrence's first touchdown since Week 12, but it's hardly worth celebrating given it came late in the fourth quarter with the Jags trailing by 47 points. The 22-year-old will close out the season with another tough matchup against the Colts in Week 18.

Lawrence completed 26 of 39 passes for 280 yards without a touchdown or interception in Sunday's 26-21 loss to the Jets. He added 37 yards on six rushing attempts and fumbled twice, losing one.

The rookie first-overall pick racked up his highest passing yardage total since Week 6, but he came one yard short of leading his team to victory, as his 4th-and-goal incompletion from New York's one-yard line in the game's final seconds was the deciding play. This loss has the Jaguars in position to pick first overall for the second consecutive season, barring an upset win over the Patriots or Colts over the final two games. Lawrence will look to end his four-game touchdown drought at some point in those Week 17 and 18 contests.

Lawrence completed 22 of 38 passes for 210 yards with zero touchdowns or interceptions during Sunday's 30-16 loss to the Texans. He also had five carries for 21 yards.

Lawrence took care of the ball Sunday after throwing four interceptions last week, but he averaged just 5.5 yards per attempt as the offense managed only one touchdown. The rookie No. 1 overall pick has thrown only two touchdowns in eight games since Jacksonville's Week 7 bye, which is contrasted by six interceptions and four fumbles (one lost) during that stretch.

Lawrence completed 24 of 40 passes for 221 yards, no touchdowns and four interceptions in Sunday's 20-0 loss to the Titans.

Lawrence was fairly efficient in the first half, as he completed 10 passes on 12 attempts for 93 yards. However, things unraveled in the second half as he threw all four of his picks with Jacksonville pushing to get back in the game. On the positive side of things, he did get the ball to key playmakers such as Marvin Jones, Laquon Treadwell and Laviska Shenault thanks to the fact that he attempted 40 passes. Overall, however, Lawrence continues to struggle in his rookie campaign as he has thrown for zero touchdowns in five of his last six contests.

Lawrence completed 16 of 28 passes for 145 yards against the Rams on Sunday.

Lawrence and the Jaguars offense tend to do nothing good even against defenses worse than this one, so a dreary outcome like this was to be expected against the Rams. Similarly, there's not much reason to hope for anything good when Lawrence and the Jaguars face the Titans in Week 14, though the matchup is arguably more favorable than the Rams were.

Lawrence completed 23 of 42 passes for 228 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Falcons. He also had five carries for 39 yards.

There was a chance for Lawrence to have a breakout performance against an Atlanta defense that had allowed the fourth-most passing touchdowns (20, tied with the Dolphins and Raiders) entering Week 12 action. But he had a tough time getting in rhythm with any of his receivers, with his top three options (Marvin Jones, Laviska Shenault and Laquon Treadwell) combining to haul in 13 of 24 targets for 129 yards. The 2021 first overall pick salvaged his day somewhat with a seven-yard scoring strike to Tavon Austin in the third quarter, but he now has tossed just four TDs versus two interceptions in his last eight games. Lawrence may have a tough time righting the ship next Sunday when the Jags visit the Rams in L.A.

Lawrence completed 16 of 25 pass attempts for 158 yards against San Francisco on Sunday, adding three carries for 23 yards.

Lawrence managed to avoid turnovers but couldn't generate any yardage until the game was almost over, leading the Jaguars to their only touchdown (a one-yard James Robinson carry) with just about three minutes left in the 30-10 blowout. Perhaps Lawrence can do better against Atlanta in Week 12, but there's not much reason to take the leap of faith given the profound struggles of the Jacksonville offense to this point.

Lawrence completed 16 of 35 passes for 162 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and rushed five times for 33 yards in the Jaguars' 23-17 loss to the Colts on Sunday. He also lost a fumble with 50 seconds remaining.

Lawrence averaged just 4.6 yards per attempt and completed less than 50.0 percent of his throws for the first time since Week 2 and only his second time as a pro. The first overall pick's fumble on a strip sack at the Colts' 47-yard line with less than 50 seconds left sealed another loss for Jacksonville, ending the game on particularly sour note. The rookie also threw for under 200 yards and went without a touchdown or interception for the second straight contest, leaving his fantasy managers in a lurch. Lawrence continued to struggle connecting with his wideouts as well, as nine of his completions went to tight end Dan Arnold and running back James Robinson. His next opportunity to rectify the various wrongs come in a Week 11 home matchup against the 49ers.

The Jaguars will be faced with a road matchup against the Colts in Week 10.

Lawrence (ankle) completed 15 of 26 pass attempts for 118 yards against Buffalo on Sunday.

Lawrence suffered a low ankle sprain during the game, according to ESPN NFL Nation's Michael DiRocco, though Lawrence only left long enough for backup C.J. Beathard to throw two passes. Lawrence and the Jaguars offense were completely overmatched by the Bills defense, but the Jacksonville defense played the hero and willed the Jags to the 9-6 victory. Lawrence might get leadership points for the toughness he showed, but the fantasy situation remains bleak. It will be worth monitoring whether Lawrence shows up on the injury report leading up to Jacksonville's Week 10 game against the Colts.

The rookie signal-caller was deemed questionable to return after going down with the ankle injury, but he's back on the field after a brief trip to the locker room to be evaluated. C.J. Beathard completed both his pass attempts for 33 yards while Lawrence was sidelined.

The Seahawks defense isn't very talented, but the Jaguars offense is badly bereft of talent and compounds that issue with profound general dysfunction. Not to excuse Lawrence of his mistakes, but pressure and wide receivers drops were both issues. There's still reason to believe Lawrence is a very talented player who will become a star in both real life and in fantasy, but with this collection of players and Urban Meyer at head coach it's beginning to look impossible. It's a near certainty that little or nothing will improve for the Jaguars offense as they face Buffalo in Week 9.

Lawrence completed 25 of his 41 passes for 319 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Dolphins. He added two rushes for 11 yards.

Lawrence saw increased pass volume, topping 34 attempts for the first time since Week 1. The result was the second 300-yard performance of his career, which was highlighted by seven completions of at least 20 yards. The only downside to the performance was lack of touchdowns, and Lawrence has no more than one passing score in each of his last five games. Even so, he's started to look more comfortable with the professional game and has averaged 8.1 yards per attempt across his last three contests.

Lawrence completed 23-of-33 passes for 273 yards, one touchdown and one interception against Tennessee on Sunday, adding 28 yards and one touchdown rushing.

Lawrence's numbers had some encouraging details, including the 2:1 ratio of touchdowns to turnovers, but the Jaguars offense was mostly tamed in a contest where they lost 37-19. The rookie can be forgiven for that given the overall state of the franchise, but for the Jaguars to be more competitive they'll need to get the ball to their best receivers, and that definitely didn't happen here. Laviska Shenault and Marvin Jones each caught just one reception Sunday -- Shenault on three targets and Jones on four. Lawrence might see similarly difficult conditions against Miami in Week 6, even after the Dolphins surrendered five touchdowns to Tom Brady in Week 5.

Lawrence completed 17 of 24 passes for 204 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in the Jaguars' 24-21 loss to the Bengals on Thursday night. He also rushed eight times for 36 yards and a touchdown.

Lawrence lost his duel with fellow first overall pick Joe Burrow, albeit by a much tighter margin than many projected coming in. This year's top selection was particularly impressive during a first half when he led the Jaguars to a surprising 14-0 lead. Lawrence particularly zeroed in on the sure-handed and versatile Laviska Shenault, who he connected with on a team-high six occasions for 99 yards, and he persevered despite losing DJ Chark to a fractured ankle in the first half. While Lawrence and the Jaguars offense fell mostly flat as a whole in the second half, the fact this was the rookie's first turnover-free performance was certainly a step in the right direction. Lawrence will look to carry over the positive momentum into a Week 5 divisional home battle against the Titans a week from Sunday.

Lawrence completed 22 of 34 passes for 219 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions during Sunday's 31-19 loss to the Cardinals. He also had six carries for 27 yards and lost a pair of fumbles.

Lawrence now has multiple interceptions in each of his first three NFL starts, and he tacked on two lost fumbles Week 3. The rookie quarterback hasn't received much help from the rest of the offense, but ball security is clearly an issue to open his professional career. The Jaguars had only two scoring drives again Sunday, and the offense has scored only three touchdowns over the past two games, while Jamal Agnew has provided a pair of scores in the return game. Given his early struggles, Lawrence isn't a valid fantasy option at this point.

Lawrence threw three picks in his NFL debut last week but still flashed his potential with three scores, and there were significantly fewer positives in Week 2 while completing only 42 percent of his passes. The 21-year-old connected with Marvin Jones for a 25-yard touchdown to finish an 83-yard drive to open the game, but Denver stifled Lawrence and the rest of the offense for the remainder of the contest -- Jamal Agnew scored Jacksonville's other touchdown on a kickoff return. Lawrence may need to show that he's settled in a bit before being a more viable fantasy option heading into a Week 3 matchup with the Cardinals.

Lawrence completed 28 of 51 passes for 332 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions in the Jaguars' 37-21 loss to the Texans on Sunday. He also rushed once for minus-2 yards.

The first overall pick offered a bit of everything in his first taste of regular-season action, interspersing flashes of his undeniable talent with a trio of mistakes that cost the Jaguars. Lawrence was impressive distributing the ball, ultimately connecting with eight different pass catchers and finding DJ Chark, Marvin Jones and Chris Manhertz for his three scoring tosses. However, Lawrence also short-circuited Jacksonville drives at midfield, his own eight-yard line and the Texans' 23 with his trio of picks. Lawrence also didn't get a chance to show off his impressive ground skills and benefited statistically from the Jaguars facing a sizable deficit for a large portion of the game, but he and the Jaguars will look for a more balanced game script in a Week 2 home battle versus the Broncos.

Prior to being replaced by C.J. Beathard, Lawrence completed 11 of 12 passing attempts for 139 yards and two TDs in Sunday's preseason finale against Dallas.

Though operating in a context in which numerous starters from both teams were not playing, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft ended his preseason on a high note and will now turn his focus to readying for Jacksonville's Week 1 tilt against Houston. While promising running back Travis Etienne (foot) is out for the season, Lawrence's cause as a rookie will be aided by the fact that he still has a capable top RB in James Robinson to work with, as well as a solid wideout trio (DJ Chark (finger), Marvin Jones (shoulder) and Laviska Shenault) to target in the passing game.

Lawrence isn't among the players listed by the Jaguars as not slated to suit up for Sunday's preseason finale versus the Cowboys, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

That said, it remains to be seen how much action Lawrence is on tap to see Sunday, but he has already been named the team's starting Week 1 QB, a decision that was followed by a trade that sent Gardner Minshew to the Eagles. Though promising running back Travis Etienne (foot) is out for the season, Lawrence, as a rookie, still has the capable James Robinson to hand off to as well as solid wideout trio (DJ Chark (finger), Marvin Jones (shoulder) and Laviska Shenault) to throw to in 2021.

The first overall pick hasn't exactly knocked it out of the park this preseason, but neither has Gardner Minshew, who presumably needed a huge summer to make his case for the Week 1 start (if he even had a chance at all). Lawrence has completed 20 of 32 passes (62.5 percent) for 184 yards (5.8 YPA) through two preseason games, with three sacks, no touchdowns and no interceptions. He's carried just once for nine yards, but his work in college suggests he should run for at least a few hundred yards and multiple TDs per season in the NFL. Lawrence will start his career with a soft matchup, traveling to Houston to face the AFC South's other rebuilding team.

Lawrence completed 14 of 23 passes for 113 yards in Monday night's 23-21 preseason loss to the Saints.

Lawrence made a couple nice throws that highlighted his mobility, but it otherwise was an underwhelming outing for this year's top pick. Along with getting a few passes broken up by defenders, Lawrence led the Jags to just three points on his six first-half drives. Although Gardner Minshew did slightly better in the second half, completing 13 of 21 for 149 yards, his interception in the opposing end zone won't help his chances of unseating Lawrence to be named Jacksonville's starter. Right now, it's unclear when coach Urban Meyer will make that call, but Lawrence will nonetheless use his final week of the preseason to get as ready as possible for his hotly anticipated debut campaign.

Coach Urban Meyer said he plans for Lawrence to get more work in Monday's preseason game against the Saints, after the rookie completed six of nine passes for 71 yards last week versus Cleveland, John Reid of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Meyer still hasn't committed to Lawrence as the starter Monday night, but offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell acknowledged Thursday that it's likely. While Meyer continues to call it a competition for the starting job between Lawrence and Gardner Minshew, it won't seem like a real contest if the No. 1 overall pick is tabbed to start for a second straight week.

Both QBs were average in the opener, and Minshew remains a long shot to get the Week 1 nod.

Lawrence started the preseason opener and completed six of nine passes for 71 yards, though he failed to produce any points on three drives, limited by sacks (two for 12 yards) and poor field position. Fellow Jags QB Gardner Minshew also failed to score on three drives, completing four of seven passes for 47 yards before he was intercepted on a hail mary at the end of the first half. Minshew has been getting some first-team reps in practice and is said by Meyer to be competing for the starting job, but Lawrence remains an overwhelming favorite for the Week 1 nod, and he could see extended playing time in the second game of the preseason on Monday Night Football.

Lawrence drew the start and was sacked and fumbled on his first play from scrimmage. He did recover from there, completing passes to a number of starting wideouts, including Marvin Jones and Laviska Shenault, on the opening drive. Lawrence's best throw came at the close of the first quarter when he connected down the field with Jones for a 35-yard pass. Though there has been no official announcement from the team, it is presumed that Lawrence will be under center when the Jaguars kick off the regular season against the Texans.

The two quarterbacks opened training camp splitting quarterback reps with the first-team offense, and it's not a major surprise coach Urban Meyer will continue with that mindset entering Saturday's preseason opener against the Browns. However, Lawrence has made a strong impression early in camp despite the expected rookie hiccups, putting him in a strong position to earn the starting job over the next few weeks.

Minshew took the first snap with the starters on the first day of camp, but he still appears destined for a backup role in the grand scheme of things. While Jacksonville brass has mostly avoided commenting on the situation, Minshew's recent comments frame it as an open competition between him and Lawrence for the starting job, per independent NFL reporter Dov Kleiman. It remains to be seen if they continue to compete, as it's also possible the Jags will simply hand things over to the No. 1 overall pick at some point.

Per ESPN.com, Lawrence's deal, which has a fifth-year option, is projected to be worth $36.8 million, including a $24.1 million signing bonus. From a fantasy perspective, Lawrence's long-range outlook is bright and though rookie signal callers often take time to develop, the Clemson product is a viewed as a generational talent capable of quickly ascending to pro stardom.

It doesn't sound like Lawrence would have been in danger to miss had it been a gameday, especially considering he still took part in the 7-on-7 portion of the session. He still has plenty of offseason to prepare but will likely aim to miss as little as possible as he gets acclimated to the top level of football heading into his rookie season.

Lawrence performed well during this week's OTAs and did not seem to have any issue with his non-throwing shoulder, Nick Shook of NFL.com reports.

Perhaps more importantly, head coach Urban Meyer suggested the No.1 overall pick was "not necessarily on a pitch count", further indicating Lawrence is not restricted in any way after undergoing surgery to address a torn labrum in his left shoulder. The Clemson product is expected to compete with Gardner Minshew for the starting role and likely should be considered the favorite for the job entering training camp.

Lawrence (shoulder) is scheduled to participate in the Jaguars' rookie minicamp this month, but the team will likely limit his activity, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

According to Rapoport, the Jaguars will restrict the amount of reps Lawerence handles mostly as a precaution while he continues to recover from February surgery to address a torn labrum in his left (non-throwing) shoulder). The No. 1 overall pick should be free of restrictions for the start of training camp, when he'll stake his claim to the starting role over incumbent Gardner Minshew.
