Conklin caught his lone target for 12 yards in Sunday's 25-10 win over the Steelers.

Conklin's catch against the Steelers was his first since Week 5, as the veteran tight end has not been a big part of the Chargers' offensive plans since the emergence of teammate Oronde Gadsden (quadriceps). With Gadsden sidelined due to an injury suffered in the third quarter, Conklin saw an uptick in his snap share. The 30-year-old played 23 of the Chargers' 73 offensive snaps after failing to play a single offensive snap in Week 9. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Gadsden is considered day-to-day, so it appears the issue won't be long term. If he does miss time, however, Conklin would be a candidate to operate as Los Angeles' top pass-catching tight end when the Chargers visit the Jaguars in Week 11.

Conklin did not register a target during the Chargers' 29-27 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.

The veteran tight end's offensive snap count dropped significantly in Week 6, due in large part to the return of Will Dissly. Conklin saw just three snaps on offense, well behind rookie fifth-rounder Oronde Gradsden (48), Tucker Fisk (27) and Dissly (26). Sunday marked the third time this season that Conklin did not record a catch and the second time he didn't register a target. The 2018 fifth-rounder's fantasy production figures to remain low unless Dissly or Gradsden were to miss time due to injury, illness or suspension.

Conklin caught two of his three targets for 30 yards in the 27-10 loss to the Commanders on Sunday.

Conklin played dramatically fewer snaps (20) than rookie Oronde Gadsden (34), but Conklin at least capitalized on the few looks his way. The Chargers are dealing with numerous injuries to the offensive line which is forcing the tight ends to block more than they typically do. The issue, which won't be resolved in the near future, is impacting all of the tight end's fantasy value.

Conklin caught his only target for three yards in the 21-18 loss to the Giants on Sunday.

Despite Los Angeles losing another offensive lineman in Joe Alt (ankle) early, Conklin only played 12 offensive snaps, one fewer than Tucker Fisk, and significantly less than Oronde Gadsden (30). It appears that the rookie seems to have overtaken both veterans as the team's preferred move tight end, but that has come in the absence of Will Dissly, who has missed the past two games with a knee injury.

Conklin failed to haul in either of his two targets during the Chargers' 23-20 win over the Broncos on Sunday.

Conklin was expected to see an uptick in playing time due to the absence of Will Dissly (knee). It was Tucker Fisk who led the tight end room with 29 snaps on offense compared to Conklin and Oronde Gadsden (22 each). However, it was Gadsden who finished with five catches (on seven targets) for 46 yards while Conklin and Fisk went catchless. Conklin's role on the offense appears to be limited to blocking duties, with his two catches for 50 yards all coming in the Chargers' Week 1 win over the Chiefs. Up next for Conklin and the Chargers is a Week 4 road clash against the Giants.

With Will Dissly (knee) ruled out for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Conklin appears to be in line for an increased offensive role.

Dissly has played 49 percent of the Chargers' offensive snaps through two games and has secured both of his targets for 25 scoreless yards. Conklin has played 46 percent of the snaps on offense and has recorded two catches for 50 yards. While Conklin seems likely to see an uptick in playing time against Denver, rookie Oronde Gadsden could also simply slide into that other 50 percent of the snap share. Conklin isn't an exciting fantasy target.

Conklin did not record a target in the 20-9 win over the Raiders on Monday.

Conklin once again played more than Will Dissly (29 compared to 23), but neither tight end was featured much in the passing game. So long as Justin Herbert continues to have this level of command on the offense, it's clear the team wants to feature their excellent trio of wide receivers whenever possible.

Conklin secured both of his targets for 50 yards during the Chargers' 27-21 win over the Chiefs on Friday night. He also rushed once for two yards.

Conklin made the most of his limited opportunities in the receiving game Friday, while top wideouts Ladd McConkey, Keenan Allen and Quentin Johnston combined for a total of 26 of 34 possible targets. He also played just 43 percent of offensive snaps, while fellow tight end Will Dissly (targeted once for an 18-yard gain) played 57 percent of snaps. Even in what preliminarily looks like a more pass-friendly offense led by Justin Herbert, Conklin and Dissly likely won't be major factors in the receiving came given Los Angeles' depth at wide receiver. They project to again split reps at tight end versus the Raiders on Monday night in Week 2.

Conklin failed to haul in his only target in Sunday's 27-13 preseason win over New Orleans.

Conklin was the first tight end to see action with starter Will Dissly sitting out the Chargers' second preseason contest. The seven-year pro figures to assume the No. 2 role come Week 1, with Sunday's playing time distribution all but confirming that. Conklin doesn't offer much fantasy upside at this point of his career, especially in a backup role for his new squad.

Conklin agreed to terms Friday on a one-year contract with the Chargers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Conklin joins Will Dissly atop Los Angeles' tight end depth chart, with both players having logged similarly productive 2024 campaigns. Dissly (50-481-2) suited up for 15 regular-season games with the Chargers last year, while Conklin (51-449-4) played all 17 regular-season contests with the Jets. Both tight ends boast enough versatility to contribute as solid blockers and pass-catchers, overlap which could cause their individual production to decline for fantasy purposes, but is a plus for Justin Herbert and offensive coordinator Greg Roman.

Conklin caught two of three targets for 16 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 32-20 win over the Dolphins. He finishes the season with 51 catches for 449 yards and four touchdowns on 72 targets.

The highlight of Conklin's season came in the finale, as he was the recipient of Aaron Rodgers' 500th career regular-season touchdown pass on a five-yard score in the second quarter. That was Conklin's fourth receiving touchdown of the season, establishing a new career high for the 29-year-old tight end. He will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason after four years in Minnesota and three with the Jets.

Conklin (calf) is active for Sunday's Week 18 matchup against the Dolphins.

The veteran tight end only got in a limited Friday practice this past week, but he'll be available in his usual No. 1 tight end role versus the Dolphins as the Jets aim to play spoiler for Miami's thin playoff hopes. Conklin needs only one reception to hit the 50-catch mark for the fourth straight season, including a third consecutive in as many Jets seasons.

Conklin is coming off arguably his best game of the season, as he caught all eight targets for 57 yards and a touchdown Week 17 versus Buffalo. The veteran tight end appears to have picked up a calf injury, however, and he'll likely need to return to practice by the end of the week in order to be able to suit up in the Jets' season finale Sunday versus Miami. If Conklin's calf injury ultimately prevents him from playing, Jeremy Ruckert and Kenny Yeboah would both be likely to get more offensive snaps against the Dolphins.

Conklin caught all eight of his targets for 57 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 40-14 loss to the Bills. He also caught a two-point conversion.

Most of Conklin's production came in the fourth quarter after the Jets turned to Tyrod Taylor under center. Taylor found Conklin for a two-point conversion after a Garrett Wilson touchdown, then Conklin caught a 20-yard touchdown pass to round out the scoring with 1:55 remaining. Two of Conklin's three highest yardage totals this season have come in the last two weeks and he set a season high in catches Sunday, giving him some late-season momentum ahead of the Week 18 finale against the Dolphins.

Conklin finished nine receiving yards shy of Davante Adams' team-high total while tying Garrett Wilson for second on the team in targets, six back of Adams. This was Conklin's second-highest yardage total of the season, trailing only the 93 yards he compiled back in Week 3 against the Patriots. Conklin will play his penultimate game of the season in Week 17 against the Bills.

Conklin (personal) hasn't been listed on the Jets' injury reports during Week 16 prep.

Conklin sat out this past Sunday's win at Jacksonville due to the birth of his child, but he has since joined his teammates in the meantime and will retain his standing as the team's top tight end. Through 13 games this season, he's posted a 36-317-2 line on 54 targets.

The Jets downgraded Conklin (personal) from questionable to out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.

Conklin hadn't been included on the Jets' Week 15 injury report until the team announced Saturday that he was questionable due to the personal matter. Though Conklin didn't travel with the team to Jacksonville, the Jets were leaving the door open for the tight end to make his own trip to Florida in advance of Sunday's game. Ultimately, Conklin didn't join the Jets for the Week 15 contest and will be held out for the first time this season, paving the way for Jeremy Ruckert to step in as the team's top tight end.

Updating a previous report. Conklin has in fact been given a tag of questionable for Sunday as he deals with a personal matter. The tight end didn't travel with the Jets on Saturday, though it remains possible that he'll join the team in Jacksonville and suit up Sunday. New York elevated tight end Zack Kuntz from the practice squad Saturday to provide depth in the event Conklin can't play, and both Jeremy Ruckert and Kenny Yeboah would like be in line for more work if that's the case.

Conklin did not travel with the team Saturday, but the hope is that he'll be able to arrive for Sunday's contest against the Jaguars, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

The Jets didn't change his injury status, so it's possible the seventh-year veteran will be able to join the team after the hopeful arrival of his first child, Connor Hughes of SNY.tv reports. Jeremy Ruckert and Kenny Yeboah would likely split the workload should Conklin be unable to make the contest.

Conklin caught three of five targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 32-26 overtime loss to the Dolphins.

Conklin notched his second-highest yardage total since Week 5, topping the output from his previous game by one yard. He has been far outside the fantasy starter range in the majority of formats, though there's an inkling of upside here heading into a favorable Week 15 matchup against the Jaguars after Aaron Rodgers threw for a season-high 339 yards in the loss to Miami.

Conklin's production in this game doesn't jump off the page, but it's still a clear improvement after he had just three catches for 12 yards over the previous three games combined. He has unsurprisingly struggled to find consistency as a secondary option in the underwhelming Jets passing offense. Heading into a Week 14 clash with the Dolphins, Conklin has caught 33 of 49 targets for 284 yards and two touchdowns.

After a six-game stretch in which Conklin averaged 5.7 targets, he has turned four targets into just five yards over the past two games. Conklin will look to bounce back in Week 11 against the Colts.

Conklin (ankle) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Though Conklin was deemed a full practice participant by the Jets on Friday, he was listed as questionable for Sunday's contest. With his Week 10 active status confirmed, Conklin should continue to lead a tight-end corps that also includes Jeremy Ruckert and Kenny Yeboah. In that capacity, Conklin -- who caught one of his two targets for minus-3 yards in a Week 9 win over the Texans -- has compiled a 27/237/2 receiving line on 40 targets through nine contests to date, a rate of production that keeps him on the radar at his position in deeper fantasy formats

Conklin practiced fully Friday but is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Arizona due to an ankle injury, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Conklin didn't appear on the Jets' Week 10 practice report until Friday, but the uncapped session wasn't enough to place a shadow over his potential to play. He seems likely to suit up nonetheless, but it won't be confirmed until about 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. If Conklin is inhibited or even inactive, though, TEs Jeremy Ruckert and, to a lesser extent, Kenny Yeboah would stand to benefit.

After having a modest two-game touchdown streak snapped Thursday, Conklin will look to start building a new one in Week 10 against the Cardinals.

Conklin's two-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter gave him a two-game touchdown streak following a 32-game scoring drought. He finished third on the team in receiving yards behind Garrett Wilson (113) and Davante Adams (54), while no other Jets teammate had more than 14. Conklin will maintain some upside as a secondary option in the Jets' top-heavy passing attack Thursday against the Texans.

He had a few big plays in the first half, highlighted by gains of 25 and 13 yards. The Jets' passing offense is heavily concentrated, and Conklin should remain a priority behind Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard.

Conklin caught four of eight targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 10-9 loss to the Broncos.

After leading the Jets with 93 receiving yards in a 24-3 Week 3 win against the Patriots, Conklin crashed back down to earth despite tying Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard for the team lead in targets against the Broncos. Conklin didn't catch either of his two first-half targets and had a 12-yard catch in the third quarter nullified by an ineligible player downfield penalty, but he chipped in a few short catches after that point to at least salvage a passable PPR performance for fantasy managers in deeper formats or dealing with injuries at tight end. Conklin and the Jets will try to back against the Vikings in London in Week 5.

Conklin brought in five of six targets for 93 yards in the Jets' 24-3 win over the Patriots on Thursday night.

Conklin was the surprise co-leader in receptions on the night for the Jets while also setting the pace in receiving yards by a very wide margin. Conklin recorded multiple chunk gains, including his game-long 22-yard grab in the second quarter that got the ball down to the Patriots' six-yard line. There had been preseason talk of Conklin being a potential beneficiary of Rodgers being under center, but Thursday night was the first time that came to fruition after the veteran tight end generated just a 2-16 line through the first two games. Conklin will look to carry over the momentum into a Week 4 home matchup against the Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 29.

Conklin caught one of two targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Titans.

Conklin saw one fewer target than backup tight end Jeremy Ruckert, though Ruckert finished without a catch and Conklin was on the field for 32 more offensive snaps than Ruckert. With just one catch in each of the team's first two games, Conklin looks like he'll be playing a smaller role in the passing game with Aaron Rodgers under center after racking up 87 targets in each of his first two seasons with the Jets. Conklin will try to get more involved Thursday against the Patriots.

Conklin caught one of two targets for six yards in Monday's 32-19 loss to the 49ers.

Conklin came up empty on his lone target from Aaron Rodgers, but he caught a pass from backup Tyrod Taylor on the Jets' final possession after Rodgers went to the bench with the game out of reach. No other Jets tight end drew a target, so at least Conklin's safely atop the depth chart, but his lack of targets from Rodgers was disappointing considering Conklin had at least three catches in all but four games last season. Conklin will look to bounce back in Week 2 against the Titans.

Conklin didn't play in Saturday's 15-12 preseason win over the Panthers.

Conklin has been rested thus far in the preseason along with the Jets' other starting skill players on offense. The Jets haven't gotten much production from the tight end position in Conklin's absence during the exhibition slate, so the 29-year-old tight end seems safely locked into the top spot on the depth chart heading into the 2024 regular season, which will commence after the Jets round out their preseason Aug. 24 against the Giants.

Conklin caught two of three targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 17-3 win over the Patriots. He finishes the season with 61 catches on 87 targets for 621 yards.

Conklin finished with exactly 87 targets for the third consecutive season, and he caught exactly 61 of those passes for the second time in that stretch. After scoring three touchdowns in each of those previous two seasons, Conklin failed to find the end zone in 2023. He'll likely reprise his role atop the tight end depth chart in the final year of his contract with the Jets next season.

Conklin secured all five targets for 46 yards in the Jets' 37-20 loss to the Browns on Thursday night.

Conklin's catch total tied him for second on the night for the Jets, and the veteran tight end checked in second in receiving yards as well. Conklin is heading into the regular-season finale against the Patriots on Jan. 7 on a solid run of production, as he's posted at least four catches in four consecutive games while drawing no fewer than five targets since Week 11.

Conklin caught four of seven targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 30-28 win over the Commanders.

The veteran tight end finished third on the Jets in catches, targets and receiving yards, but his production and usage paled in comparison to Breece Hall (12-96-0 on 16 targets) and Garrett Wilson (9-76-0 on 15 targets.) Conklin has found a steady role in the offense no matter who's been under center for New York, hauling in three or four passes in five straight games on between five and nine targets, but he's still looking for his first touchdown of 2023 heading into a Week 17 clash with the Browns.

Conklin caught four of seven targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 30-0 loss to the Dolphins.

Conklin led the team in targets and receiving yards, but nobody on the Jets reached 30 receiving yards as neither Zach Wilson (head) nor Trevor Siemian led any scoring drives. Conklin has caught at least four passes in eight of 14 games, but the veteran tight end has yet to record a touchdown this season. Siemian hasn't thrown a touchdown on 39 pass attempts in 2023, so Conklin's unlikely to snap the touchdown drought in Week 16 against the Commanders, especially if Wilson's unable to play after leaving the loss to Miami in the first half.

This is a new injury for Conklin. Soft-tissue injuries can be tricky to navigate, but it's encouraging that he was able to practice in some capacity Wednesday. If Conklin can upgrade to full participation Thursday or Friday, he could avoid the injury report ahead of Sunday's home game against the Texans. With C.J. Uzomah (knee) going on injured reserve Wednesday, the Jets' tight end depth chart behind Conklin consists of Jeremy Ruckert and Kenny Yeboah, who returned from a hamstring injury of his own Wednesday.

Conklin actually led the Jets in targets, but he finished third in receiving yards behind Xavier Gipson (77) and Garrett Wilson (50). Regardless of whether Tim Boyle, Trevor Siemian or Zach Wilson starts in Week 14 against the Texans, New York's quarterback will likely have to check it down to Conklin often given the offensive line's inability to buy time and the team's lack of receiving depth.

Conklin caught four of five targets for 33 yards in Friday's 34-13 loss to the Dolphins.

Conklin's rushing yard came as the Jets joined the recent trend of sneaking with their tight end from under center to keep its quarterback from taking a hit.

Conklin could eventually find more of a red zone role with his size (6-3).

Conklin had four receptions on four targets for 41 yards in Sunday's overtime loss at Cincinnati.

With Irv Smith out for the season with a knee injury, Conklin moved into the top tight end role and played 59 snaps on offense, going out for a pass on 38 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus. It was a slight negative that the Vikings utilized a third receiver (K.J. Osborn) more than usual in the passing game, but the Vikings were also playing much of the game from behind. Conklin may have a larger role if the team isn't playing behind, but he showed he'll be a part of the passing game and could emerge as a red zone target. Chris Herndon still has the possibility to cut into Conklin's playing time, but Herndon played just 12 snaps Sunday as he gets up to speed on the offense after being traded to the Vikings from the Jets late in the preseason.

Conklin didn't suit up during the preseason due to a minor hamstring injury, which also limited him at Wednesday's practice. Now that he's put together an uncapped showing on the field, the Vikings will be going with Conklin, Chris Herndon, Brandon Dillon and Ben Ellefson at tight end with Irv Smith out for the season following a meniscectomy.

Conklin dealt with a pair of injury concerns in training camp and the preseason. The current one is a mild hamstring injury, which kept him out of all three of Minnesota's games last month. In the wake of Irv Smith's season-ending meniscectomy in late August, Conklin elevated to the top of the TE depth chart, but Chris Herndon has since joined the group from the Jets. Conklin, Herndon, Brandon Dillon and Ben Ellefson compose the Vikings' TEs heading into the campaign.

Conklin's teammate Irv Smith (knee) is expected to miss the entire season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

The Vikings traded for Chris Herndon on Tuesday but mostly seem to be counting on Conklin to shoulder the burden -- at least initially while Herndon gets up to speed. Coach Mike Zimmer did also mention that Smith's injury will impact formation usage, with the Vikings likely using more three-wide sets than they did last season when Smith, Conklin and Kyle Rudolph (now with the Giants) all were on the team. Still, Conklin could be looking at 50-plus snaps per week even in a more spread-out offense, given that Herndon and 2019 UDFA Brandon Dillon are the only other tight ends on the initial 53-man roster. Conklin won't blow anyone away with his 4.8 speed, but he did catch 19 of 26 targets for 194 yards last year, at least proving himself competent in the passing game. Conklin (hamstring) is facing increased competition for snaps with the Vikings having traded for tight end Chris Herndon from the Jets, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.

Conklin looks set to begin the regular season in a starting role while Irv Smith (knee) recovers from surgery, but it appears that the Vikings desire more security at the tight end position during that time. The severity of Smith's meniscus injury remains undisclosed, and there's a chance it could be season-ending, so the acquisition of Herndon could speak as much about those worries as concerns about Conklin's skill set. In any case, Herndon is coming off back-to-back disappointing seasons in New York and now faces the task of learning a new offense, so as long as Conklin can shake his hamstring injury, he'll remain on track to start Sept. 12's season opener in Cincinnati.

There's a chance Smith's surgery is season-ending, if it ends up being a meniscus repair rather than a meniscectomy/debridement. Meanwhile, Conklin's return Monday puts him on track for the start Week 1 at Cincinnati, after missing the past two weeks of practice and the final two preseason games. His solid performance last year had him locked in for the No. 2 spot at tight end this season, but while the Vikings may be comfortable using Conklin as a fill-in starter, Zimmer acknowledged Monday that he's worried about depth. He's right to be concerned, as the Vikings now have only a rookie fifth-round pick (Zach Davidson) and two undrafted young players (Brandon Dillon, Shane Zylstra) behind Conklin, who himself had caught just 13 passes in 39 NFL games before he took on a larger role around Week 10 last year. Even so, Conklin could have short-term fantasy value if he defaults to a three-down role in what should be a solid offense.

Conklin, who hasn't played during the preseason as he deals with a hamstring injury, has a chance to see an expanded role, health permitting, with Irv Smith (knee) expected to miss time early on this season, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

With Kyle Rudolph no longer in the mix, Smith had been viewed as a possible fantasy break-out candidate in 2021. With that potential outcome on hold, Conklin could emerge as an option in deeper formats early on this season. Meanwhile, Brandon Dillon, Zach Davidson and Shane Zylstra are also currently in the Vikings' tight end mix.

Conklin is the Vikings' No. 2 tight end, with his solid performance late last season perhaps making it easier for the team to move on from Kyle Rudolph (now with the Giants) in the offseason. The role may entail only 2-4 targets per game, but Conklin could establish mainstream fantasy value if starter Irv Smith misses any time.

Conklin caught both of his targets for 11 yards in Monday night's 19-13 win over the Bears.

Conklin moved up the depth chart with Irv Smith (groin) sidelined and made his first couple receptions of the campaign. Should Smith remain out Sunday versus the Cowboys, Conklin would figure to assume a similar role, boosting his value despite his still-restricted ceiling.

Conklin did not have a target in Sunday's loss to Green Bay. He played just eight snaps on offense.

With both Kyle Rudolph and Irv Smith, Jr. healthy, Conklin is going to have a minimal role on offense and will get most of his snaps (12 on Sunday) on special teams.
