One catch in win
Conklin caught his lone target for 12 yards in Sunday's 25-10 win over the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Conklin's catch against the Steelers was his first since Week 5, as the veteran tight end has not been a big part of the Chargers' offensive plans since the emergence of teammate Oronde Gadsden (quadriceps). With Gadsden sidelined due to an injury suffered in the third quarter, Conklin saw an uptick in his snap share. The 30-year-old played 23 of the Chargers' 73 offensive snaps after failing to play a single offensive snap in Week 9. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Gadsden is considered day-to-day, so it appears the issue won't be long term. If he does miss time, however, Conklin would be a candidate to operate as Los Angeles' top pass-catching tight end when the Chargers visit the Jaguars in Week 11.

Snap count plummets vs. Miami
Conklin did not register a target during the Chargers' 29-27 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The veteran tight end's offensive snap count dropped significantly in Week 6, due in large part to the return of Will Dissly. Conklin saw just three snaps on offense, well behind rookie fifth-rounder Oronde Gradsden (48), Tucker Fisk (27) and Dissly (26). Sunday marked the third time this season that Conklin did not record a catch and the second time he didn't register a target. The 2018 fifth-rounder's fantasy production figures to remain low unless Dissly or Gradsden were to miss time due to injury, illness or suspension.
Oct 6, 2025
Two catches in loss
Conklin caught two of his three targets for 30 yards in the 27-10 loss to the Commanders on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Conklin played dramatically fewer snaps (20) than rookie Oronde Gadsden (34), but Conklin at least capitalized on the few looks his way. The Chargers are dealing with numerous injuries to the offensive line which is forcing the tight ends to block more than they typically do. The issue, which won't be resolved in the near future, is impacting all of the tight end's fantasy value.
Sep 29, 2025
Falling out of favor
Conklin caught his only target for three yards in the 21-18 loss to the Giants on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Despite Los Angeles losing another offensive lineman in Joe Alt (ankle) early, Conklin only played 12 offensive snaps, one fewer than Tucker Fisk, and significantly less than Oronde Gadsden (30). It appears that the rookie seems to have overtaken both veterans as the team's preferred move tight end, but that has come in the absence of Will Dissly, who has missed the past two games with a knee injury.
Sep 22, 2025
Plays 22 offensive snaps in Week 3
Conklin failed to haul in either of his two targets during the Chargers' 23-20 win over the Broncos on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Conklin was expected to see an uptick in playing time due to the absence of Will Dissly (knee). It was Tucker Fisk who led the tight end room with 29 snaps on offense compared to Conklin and Oronde Gadsden (22 each). However, it was Gadsden who finished with five catches (on seven targets) for 46 yards while Conklin and Fisk went catchless. Conklin's role on the offense appears to be limited to blocking duties, with his two catches for 50 yards all coming in the Chargers' Week 1 win over the Chiefs. Up next for Conklin and the Chargers is a Week 4 road clash against the Giants.
Sep 19, 2025
In line for increased snaps
With Will Dissly (knee) ruled out for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Conklin appears to be in line for an increased offensive role.
ANALYSIS
Dissly has played 49 percent of the Chargers' offensive snaps through two games and has secured both of his targets for 25 scoreless yards. Conklin has played 46 percent of the snaps on offense and has recorded two catches for 50 yards. While Conklin seems likely to see an uptick in playing time against Denver, rookie Oronde Gadsden could also simply slide into that other 50 percent of the snap share. Conklin isn't an exciting fantasy target.
Sep 16, 2025
Shut out in win
Conklin did not record a target in the 20-9 win over the Raiders on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Conklin once again played more than Will Dissly (29 compared to 23), but neither tight end was featured much in the passing game. So long as Justin Herbert continues to have this level of command on the offense, it's clear the team wants to feature their excellent trio of wide receivers whenever possible.
Sep 6, 2025
Productive on two targets
Conklin secured both of his targets for 50 yards during the Chargers' 27-21 win over the Chiefs on Friday night. He also rushed once for two yards.
ANALYSIS
Conklin made the most of his limited opportunities in the receiving game Friday, while top wideouts Ladd McConkey, Keenan Allen and Quentin Johnston combined for a total of 26 of 34 possible targets. He also played just 43 percent of offensive snaps, while fellow tight end Will Dissly (targeted once for an 18-yard gain) played 57 percent of snaps. Even in what preliminarily looks like a more pass-friendly offense led by Justin Herbert, Conklin and Dissly likely won't be major factors in the receiving came given Los Angeles' depth at wide receiver. They project to again split reps at tight end versus the Raiders on Monday night in Week 2.
Aug 10, 2025
Sees one target while starter rests
Conklin failed to haul in his only target in Sunday's 27-13 preseason win over New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Conklin was the first tight end to see action with starter Will Dissly sitting out the Chargers' second preseason contest. The seven-year pro figures to assume the No. 2 role come Week 1, with Sunday's playing time distribution all but confirming that. Conklin doesn't offer much fantasy upside at this point of his career, especially in a backup role for his new squad.
Mar 21, 2025
Lands with Bolts
Conklin agreed to terms Friday on a one-year contract with the Chargers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Conklin joins Will Dissly atop Los Angeles' tight end depth chart, with both players having logged similarly productive 2024 campaigns. Dissly (50-481-2) suited up for 15 regular-season games with the Chargers last year, while Conklin (51-449-4) played all 17 regular-season contests with the Jets. Both tight ends boast enough versatility to contribute as solid blockers and pass-catchers, overlap which could cause their individual production to decline for fantasy purposes, but is a plus for Justin Herbert and offensive coordinator Greg Roman.
Jan 5, 2025
Catches Rodgers' 500th TD pass
Conklin caught two of three targets for 16 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 32-20 win over the Dolphins. He finishes the season with 51 catches for 449 yards and four touchdowns on 72 targets.
ANALYSIS
The highlight of Conklin's season came in the finale, as he was the recipient of Aaron Rodgers' 500th career regular-season touchdown pass on a five-yard score in the second quarter. That was Conklin's fourth receiving touchdown of the season, establishing a new career high for the 29-year-old tight end. He will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason after four years in Minnesota and three with the Jets.
Jan 5, 2025
Active in Week 18
Conklin (calf) is active for Sunday's Week 18 matchup against the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
The veteran tight end only got in a limited Friday practice this past week, but he'll be available in his usual No. 1 tight end role versus the Dolphins as the Jets aim to play spoiler for Miami's thin playoff hopes. Conklin needs only one reception to hit the 50-catch mark for the fourth straight season, including a third consecutive in as many Jets seasons.
Jan 3, 2025
Questionable after limited practice
Conklin (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Conklin mustered a limited practice Friday after being a non-participant Wednesday and Thursday to give himself a shot at suiting up. If he's unable to play Sunday, Conklin would finish the season with 49 catches for 433 yards and three touchdowns on 69 targets. Jeremy Ruckert would be the top candidate for increased playing time in that scenario.
Jan 2, 2025
Not seen at Thursday's practice
Conklin (calf) wasn't spotted at practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Conklin was also deemed a non-participant Wednesday, which gives him one more opportunity to practice ahead of Sunday's season finale against the Dolphins. If Conklin is limited or out this weekend, Jeremy Ruckert and Kenny Yeboah would be candidates to see added Week 18 tight end snaps/targets for the Jets.
Jan 1, 2025
Misses practice with calf issue
Conklin (calf) didn't practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Conklin is coming off arguably his best game of the season, as he caught all eight targets for 57 yards and a touchdown Week 17 versus Buffalo. The veteran tight end appears to have picked up a calf injury, however, and he'll likely need to return to practice by the end of the week in order to be able to suit up in the Jets' season finale Sunday versus Miami. If Conklin's calf injury ultimately prevents him from playing, Jeremy Ruckert and Kenny Yeboah would both be likely to get more offensive snaps against the Dolphins.
Dec 29, 2024
Season-high eight catches in loss
Conklin caught all eight of his targets for 57 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 40-14 loss to the Bills. He also caught a two-point conversion.
ANALYSIS
Most of Conklin's production came in the fourth quarter after the Jets turned to Tyrod Taylor under center. Taylor found Conklin for a two-point conversion after a Garrett Wilson touchdown, then Conklin caught a 20-yard touchdown pass to round out the scoring with 1:55 remaining. Two of Conklin's three highest yardage totals this season have come in the last two weeks and he set a season high in catches Sunday, giving him some late-season momentum ahead of the Week 18 finale against the Dolphins.
Dec 22, 2024
Five catches in Week 16
Conklin caught five of seven targets for 59 yards in Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Conklin finished nine receiving yards shy of Davante Adams' team-high total while tying Garrett Wilson for second on the team in targets, six back of Adams. This was Conklin's second-highest yardage total of the season, trailing only the 93 yards he compiled back in Week 3 against the Patriots. Conklin will play his penultimate game of the season in Week 17 against the Bills.
Dec 19, 2024
Good to go moving forward
Conklin (personal) hasn't been listed on the Jets' injury reports during Week 16 prep.
ANALYSIS
Conklin sat out this past Sunday's win at Jacksonville due to the birth of his child, but he has since joined his teammates in the meantime and will retain his standing as the team's top tight end. Through 13 games this season, he's posted a 36-317-2 line on 54 targets.
Dec 15, 2024
Won't play Sunday
The Jets downgraded Conklin (personal) from questionable to out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Conklin hadn't been included on the Jets' Week 15 injury report until the team announced Saturday that he was questionable due to the personal matter. Though Conklin didn't travel with the team to Jacksonville, the Jets were leaving the door open for the tight end to make his own trip to Florida in advance of Sunday's game. Ultimately, Conklin didn't join the Jets for the Week 15 contest and will be held out for the first time this season, paving the way for Jeremy Ruckert to step in as the team's top tight end.
Dec 14, 2024
Officially questionable for Sunday
Conklin (personal) has been deemed questionable to suit up in Sunday's Week 15 matchup versus Jacksonville.
ANALYSIS
Updating a previous report. Conklin has in fact been given a tag of questionable for Sunday as he deals with a personal matter. The tight end didn't travel with the Jets on Saturday, though it remains possible that he'll join the team in Jacksonville and suit up Sunday. New York elevated tight end Zack Kuntz from the practice squad Saturday to provide depth in the event Conklin can't play, and both Jeremy Ruckert and Kenny Yeboah would like be in line for more work if that's the case.
Dec 14, 2024
Still hoping to play
Conklin did not travel with the team Saturday, but the hope is that he'll be able to arrive for Sunday's contest against the Jaguars, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Jets didn't change his injury status, so it's possible the seventh-year veteran will be able to join the team after the hopeful arrival of his first child, Connor Hughes of SNY.tv reports. Jeremy Ruckert and Kenny Yeboah would likely split the workload should Conklin be unable to make the contest.
Dec 9, 2024
Three catches in Week 14
Conklin caught three of five targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 32-26 overtime loss to the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Conklin notched his second-highest yardage total since Week 5, topping the output from his previous game by one yard. He has been far outside the fantasy starter range in the majority of formats, though there's an inkling of upside here heading into a favorable Week 15 matchup against the Jaguars after Aaron Rodgers threw for a season-high 339 yards in the loss to Miami.
Dec 2, 2024
Signs of life in loss
Conklin caught four of five targets for 32 yards in Sunday's 26-21 loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Conklin's production in this game doesn't jump off the page, but it's still a clear improvement after he had just three catches for 12 yards over the previous three games combined. He has unsurprisingly struggled to find consistency as a secondary option in the underwhelming Jets passing offense. Heading into a Week 14 clash with the Dolphins, Conklin has caught 33 of 49 targets for 284 yards and two touchdowns.
Nov 18, 2024
Remains stuck in rut
Conklin caught one of two targets for seven yards and gained zero yards on his only carry in Sunday's 28-27 loss to the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Conklin has been limited to just one catch in each of the past three games, producing a meager 12 yards over that span. Despite seeing consistent playing time thanks to his blocking skills, Conklin will be tough to trust from a fantasy perspective when the Jets return from their Week 12 bye.
Nov 12, 2024
Held to one catch again
Conklin (ankle) caught one of two targets for eight yards in Sunday's 31-6 loss to Arizona.
ANALYSIS
Conklin played 45 offensive snaps to Jeremy Ruckert's 20, but both Jets tight ends got two targets, with Kenny Yeboah adding a catch on one of his five snaps. After a six-game stretch in which Conklin averaged 5.7 targets, he has turned four targets into just five yards over the past two games. Conklin will look to bounce back in Week 11 against the Colts.
Nov 10, 2024
Listed as active Sunday
Conklin (ankle) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Though Conklin was deemed a full practice participant by the Jets on Friday, he was listed as questionable for Sunday's contest. With his Week 10 active status confirmed, Conklin should continue to lead a tight-end corps that also includes Jeremy Ruckert and Kenny Yeboah. In that capacity, Conklin -- who caught one of his two targets for minus-3 yards in a Week 9 win over the Texans -- has compiled a 27/237/2 receiving line on 40 targets through nine contests to date, a rate of production that keeps him on the radar at his position in deeper fantasy formats
Nov 8, 2024
Questionable despite full practice
Conklin practiced fully Friday but is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Arizona due to an ankle injury, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Conklin didn't appear on the Jets' Week 10 practice report until Friday, but the uncapped session wasn't enough to place a shadow over his potential to play. He seems likely to suit up nonetheless, but it won't be confirmed until about 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. If Conklin is inhibited or even inactive, though, TEs Jeremy Ruckert and, to a lesser extent, Kenny Yeboah would stand to benefit.
Nov 1, 2024
One catch in Thursday's win
Conklin caught one of two targets for minus-3 yards in Thursday's 21-13 win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Conklin played 45 of the Jets' 58 snaps on offense, while Jeremy Ruckert and Kenny Yeboah combined to play 25, but each of the three tight ends finished with one catch. Aaron Rodgers directed 25 of his 32 passes to either Garrett Wilson, Davante Adams or Breece Hall, and those three will likely continue to account for the vast majority of the Jets' offense moving forward. After having a modest two-game touchdown streak snapped Thursday, Conklin will look to start building a new one in Week 10 against the Cardinals.
Oct 27, 2024
Two-game TD streak
Conklin caught three of four targets for 42 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 25-22 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Conklin's two-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter gave him a two-game touchdown streak following a 32-game scoring drought. He finished third on the team in receiving yards behind Garrett Wilson (113) and Davante Adams (54), while no other Jets teammate had more than 14. Conklin will maintain some upside as a secondary option in the Jets' top-heavy passing attack Thursday against the Texans.
Oct 21, 2024
Ends nearly two-year TD drought
Conklin (hip) caught all four of his targets for seven yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-15 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Conklin saw an 86 percent snap share, suggesting that his hip injury isn't slowing him down too much. He made up for a modest yardage total by scoring a one-yard touchdown in the second quarter, marking Conklin's first trip to the end zone since a two-touchdown performance against the Patriots in Week 8 of the 2022 season. He'll look for a repeat performance when the Jets face the Patriots in Week 8 of the 2024 campaign.
Oct 20, 2024
Active versus Pittsburgh
Conklin (hip) is listed as active for Sunday night's game against the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Following back-to-back limited practices, Conklin upgraded to full participation Friday but still carried a 'questionable' designation into the weekend. With his availability confirmed, the tight end is slated to remain a key Week 7 target for QB Aaron Rodgers, a scenario that has yielded Conklin a 19/191/0 receiving line on 30 targets through six contests this season.
Oct 18, 2024
Questionable despite full practice
Conklin (hip) was a full participant in practice Friday but is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Conklin upgraded to full participation Friday after a pair of limited sessions, but that wasn't enough to avoid an injury designation. He played 73 percent of offensive snaps Monday against the Bills while playing through the injury, so Conklin seems more likely than not to give it a go Sunday night against the Steelers.
Oct 16, 2024
Limited in walk-through
Conklin (hip) was listed as limited on Wednesday's practice estimate, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Conklin was also limited ahead of the Jets' 23-20 loss to the Bills on Monday, but was able to suit up for the contest, while catching two of his three targets for 10 yards. With no reported setbacks, Conklin's listed limitations Wednesday are quite likely maintenance related, though the tight end may need to practice fully by Friday in order to avoid an injury designation for this weekend's game against the Steelers.
Oct 15, 2024
Two catches on MNF
Conklin (hip) caught two of three targets for 10 yards in Monday's 23-20 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Conklin played through a hip injury and saw the field for 73 percent of the Jets' snaps on offense but was markedly less involved in the passing game after seeing 17 targets over the previous two games. The veteran tight end could play a larger role Sunday against the Steelers in a Jets passing game that may include trade acquisition Davante Adams (hamstring) by that point.
Oct 14, 2024
Active for Monday's game
Conklin (hip) is active for Monday night's contest against the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Conklin was listed as a limited participant in practice Thursday through Saturday before being deemed questionable for the contest. With his availability confirmed, Conklin is in line to continue to lead the Jets' TE corps versus Buffalo, a role that has resulted in him logging a 17/181/0 receiving line (on 27 targets) through five games to date.
Oct 12, 2024
Questionable for Monday
Conklin (hip) is listed as questionable for Monday's contest against the Bills, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Conklin was a limited participant in practice all week, which typically is a positive sign in regards to gameday activation. The veteran is coming off one of his better days on the young season tallying six catches for 55 yards in the Week 5 loss. Expect more information regarding his status to arrive before the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff Monday.
Oct 11, 2024
Another limited practice Friday
Conklin (hip) remained limited in practice Friday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Conklin was also limited Thursday. The starting tight end will have one more opportunity to upgrade to full participation as he tries to avoid an injury designation for Monday's home game against the Bills.
Oct 10, 2024
Limited with hip injury
Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said Thursday that Conklin (hip) will be limited in practice, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Conklin is coming off the best game of his 2024 campaign, having secured six of nine targets for 55 yards in New York's 23-17 loss to the Vikings in London. The veteran tight end will have two more opportunities to increase his activity level at practice before Monday's key divisional matchup against the Bills. Conklin worked as the No. 3 target for the Jets' offense behind Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard in Week 5, but with Albert Breer of SI.com reporting that passing game coordinator Todd Downing will take over offensive playcalling duties, changes could be on deck for Aaron Rodgers (ankle/hamstring) and this offense.
Oct 6, 2024
Season-best six catches
Conklin recorded six receptions on nine targets for 55 yards in Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Conklin emerged as a favorite target of Aaron Rodgers in a pass-heavy game script, finishing third on the team with nine targets. He had a few big plays in the first half, highlighted by gains of 25 and 13 yards. The Jets' passing offense is heavily concentrated, and Conklin should remain a priority behind Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard.
Sep 30, 2024
Four catches in Week 4 loss
Conklin caught four of eight targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 10-9 loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
After leading the Jets with 93 receiving yards in a 24-3 Week 3 win against the Patriots, Conklin crashed back down to earth despite tying Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard for the team lead in targets against the Broncos. Conklin didn't catch either of his two first-half targets and had a 12-yard catch in the third quarter nullified by an ineligible player downfield penalty, but he chipped in a few short catches after that point to at least salvage a passable PPR performance for fantasy managers in deeper formats or dealing with injuries at tight end. Conklin and the Jets will try to back against the Vikings in London in Week 5.
Sep 20, 2024
Breakout effort in Week 3 win
Conklin brought in five of six targets for 93 yards in the Jets' 24-3 win over the Patriots on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Conklin was the surprise co-leader in receptions on the night for the Jets while also setting the pace in receiving yards by a very wide margin. Conklin recorded multiple chunk gains, including his game-long 22-yard grab in the second quarter that got the ball down to the Patriots' six-yard line. There had been preseason talk of Conklin being a potential beneficiary of Rodgers being under center, but Thursday night was the first time that came to fruition after the veteran tight end generated just a 2-16 line through the first two games. Conklin will look to carry over the momentum into a Week 4 home matchup against the Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 29.
Sep 16, 2024
Another one-catch game
Conklin caught one of two targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Conklin saw one fewer target than backup tight end Jeremy Ruckert, though Ruckert finished without a catch and Conklin was on the field for 32 more offensive snaps than Ruckert. With just one catch in each of the team's first two games, Conklin looks like he'll be playing a smaller role in the passing game with Aaron Rodgers under center after racking up 87 targets in each of his first two seasons with the Jets. Conklin will try to get more involved Thursday against the Patriots.
Sep 9, 2024
Just one catch on MNF
Conklin caught one of two targets for six yards in Monday's 32-19 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Conklin came up empty on his lone target from Aaron Rodgers, but he caught a pass from backup Tyrod Taylor on the Jets' final possession after Rodgers went to the bench with the game out of reach. No other Jets tight end drew a target, so at least Conklin's safely atop the depth chart, but his lack of targets from Rodgers was disappointing considering Conklin had at least three catches in all but four games last season. Conklin will look to bounce back in Week 2 against the Titans.
Aug 18, 2024
Yet to suit up in preseason
Conklin didn't play in Saturday's 15-12 preseason win over the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Conklin has been rested thus far in the preseason along with the Jets' other starting skill players on offense. The Jets haven't gotten much production from the tight end position in Conklin's absence during the exhibition slate, so the 29-year-old tight end seems safely locked into the top spot on the depth chart heading into the 2024 regular season, which will commence after the Jets round out their preseason Aug. 24 against the Giants.
Jan 7, 2024
Three straight years of 87 targets
Conklin caught two of three targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 17-3 win over the Patriots. He finishes the season with 61 catches on 87 targets for 621 yards.
ANALYSIS
Conklin finished with exactly 87 targets for the third consecutive season, and he caught exactly 61 of those passes for the second time in that stretch. After scoring three touchdowns in each of those previous two seasons, Conklin failed to find the end zone in 2023. He'll likely reprise his role atop the tight end depth chart in the final year of his contract with the Jets next season.
Dec 29, 2023
Solid production in loss
Conklin secured all five targets for 46 yards in the Jets' 37-20 loss to the Browns on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Conklin's catch total tied him for second on the night for the Jets, and the veteran tight end checked in second in receiving yards as well. Conklin is heading into the regular-season finale against the Patriots on Jan. 7 on a solid run of production, as he's posted at least four catches in four consecutive games while drawing no fewer than five targets since Week 11.
Dec 24, 2023
Four grabs in Week 16 win
Conklin caught four of seven targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 30-28 win over the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
The veteran tight end finished third on the Jets in catches, targets and receiving yards, but his production and usage paled in comparison to Breece Hall (12-96-0 on 16 targets) and Garrett Wilson (9-76-0 on 15 targets.) Conklin has found a steady role in the offense no matter who's been under center for New York, hauling in three or four passes in five straight games on between five and nine targets, but he's still looking for his first touchdown of 2023 heading into a Week 17 clash with the Browns.
Dec 17, 2023
Seven targets in shutout loss
Conklin caught four of seven targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 30-0 loss to the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Conklin led the team in targets and receiving yards, but nobody on the Jets reached 30 receiving yards as neither Zach Wilson (head) nor Trevor Siemian led any scoring drives. Conklin has caught at least four passes in eight of 14 games, but the veteran tight end has yet to record a touchdown this season. Siemian hasn't thrown a touchdown on 39 pass attempts in 2023, so Conklin's unlikely to snap the touchdown drought in Week 16 against the Commanders, especially if Wilson's unable to play after leaving the loss to Miami in the first half.
Dec 10, 2023
Tops 50 yards in Week 14 win
Conklin caught four of six targets for 57 yards in Sunday's 30-6 win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Conklin filled his customary role as the distant third option in New York's passing game behind Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall, who combined for 17 catches, 194 yards and a touchdown on 23 targets. While Conklin has reached 50 receiving yards in six games this season, he has yet to surpass 70 yards in a game or score a touchdown heading into a Week 15 road game against the Dolphins.
Dec 8, 2023
Ready to face Houston
Conklin (hamstring) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Texans after logging a full practice Friday.
ANALYSIS
After being limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday, Conklin upgraded to full participation Friday. He'll work as the top tight end for the Jets on Sunday against a Texans defense that has allowed a league-high 81 receptions to the position.
Dec 7, 2023
Another limited session
Conklin (hamstring) remained limited at practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Following back-to-back capped sessions to start the week, Conklin may need to practice fully Friday in order to avoid carrying an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Texans. In the Jets' 13-8 loss to the Falcons in Week 13, Conklin logged a team-high nine targets but hauled in only three of them for 35 yards.
Dec 6, 2023
Limited due to hamstring Wednesday
Conklin (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
This is a new injury for Conklin. Soft-tissue injuries can be tricky to navigate, but it's encouraging that he was able to practice in some capacity Wednesday. If Conklin can upgrade to full participation Thursday or Friday, he could avoid the injury report ahead of Sunday's home game against the Texans. With C.J. Uzomah (knee) going on injured reserve Wednesday, the Jets' tight end depth chart behind Conklin consists of Jeremy Ruckert and Kenny Yeboah, who returned from a hamstring injury of his own Wednesday.
Dec 3, 2023
Does little with nine targets
Conklin caught three of nine targets for 35 yards in Sunday's 13-8 loss to the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Conklin actually led the Jets in targets, but he finished third in receiving yards behind Xavier Gipson (77) and Garrett Wilson (50). Regardless of whether Tim Boyle, Trevor Siemian or Zach Wilson starts in Week 14 against the Texans, New York's quarterback will likely have to check it down to Conklin often given the offensive line's inability to buy time and the team's lack of receiving depth.
Nov 24, 2023
Four catches in Week 12 loss
Conklin caught four of five targets for 33 yards in Friday's 34-13 loss to the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Conklin finished second behind Garrett Wilson (44) in receiving yards and third behind Wilson (10) and Breece Hall (nine) in targets, as the Jets' offense looked no better in Tim Boyle's first start of 2023 under center. Wide receiver Allen Lazard was a healthy inactive after his recent issues with drops, so Conklin is the clear No. 3 option behind Wilson and Hall in New York's struggling offense heading into a Week 13 home game against the Falcons.
Nov 20, 2023
Just two catches in blowout loss
Conklin caught two of three targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 32-6 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Cinklin was outproduced by fellow tight end Jeremy Ruckert, who caught three of four targets for 25 yards. New York's coaching staff wants to get the 23-year-old Ruckert more involved, which could cut into the 28-year-old Conklin's volume moving forward. Conklin finished with fewer than three receptions for just the third time in 10 games this season. Regardless of whether the Jets name Zach Wilson or Tim Boyle as their starting quarterback for Week 12 against the Dolphins, Conklin should continue to serve as a security blanket on Black Friday.
Nov 12, 2023
Season-best output in Week 10 loss
Conklin caught all seven of his targets for 70 yards in Sunday's 16-12 loss to Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Conklin set season highs in catches and receiving yards for the second consecutive week, topping his six catches for 66 yards from Week 9 against the Chargers. The tight end has emerged as the third-best player in the Jets' struggling offense behind wide receiver Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall, but Conklin's still searching for his first touchdown of the season heading into a Week 11 road matchup with the Bills.
Nov 6, 2023
Catches all six targets Monday
Conklin caught all six of his targets for 66 yards in Monday's 27-6 loss to the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Conklin bounced back nicely after going without a catch in the previous game. In addition to setting a season high in catches and coming one yard short of his season best, Conklin drew a 14-yard pass interference penalty on third down to extend a third-quarter drive. The tight end was tackled on the 2-yard line on the Jets' final offensive play, narrowly missing his first touchdown of 2023. Heading into a Week 10 road game against the Raiders, Conklin has notched at least three catches in all but two games this season.
Oct 29, 2023
Blanked in Week 8 win
Conklin didn't catch either of his two targets in Sunday's 13-10 overtime win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Conklin had at least three catches in each of the previous five games, but he didn't account for any of Zach Wilson's 17 completions in the overtime victory. His two targets matched the combined total of C.J. Uzomah and Jeremy Ruckert, so Conklin remains the top pass catching option among the Jets' tight ends heading into a Week 9 home game against the Chargers on MNF.
Oct 15, 2023
Three catches in Week 6
Conklin caught three of four targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 20-14 win over the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Conklin wasn't a major part of the game plan as Zach Wilson threw for just 186 yards, but New York won the turnover battle 4-0 to pull off the upset win. Heading into the Jets' Week 7 bye, Conklin has caught at lest three passes in all but one game, but he's still looking his first touchdown of the season.
Oct 9, 2023
Leading receiver in win
Conklin had four receptions on five targets for 67 yards in Sunday's 31-21 win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Conklin finished first in receiving yardage for the Jets in a game where neither team threw for more than 200 yards. The veteran tight end has quietly contributed 50 or more yards in three of his last four contests. Conklin has yet to hit pay dirt this season, something he will attempt to correct against the Eagles next Sunday.
Oct 2, 2023
Goes for 58 yards in loss
Conklin caught four of his six targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 23-20 loss to Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
Conklin's six targets only finished behind top wideout Garrett Wilson's 14 on Sunday. The veteran tight end has alternated modest and poor receiving totals through four games, resulting in a low-end option for fantasy purposes. Conklin has yet to be targeted in the red zone, a trend that hurts his point potential heading into next Sunday's matchup against Denver.
Sep 24, 2023
Ties for second with five targets
Conklin caught three of five targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 15-10 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Conklin tied Allen Lazard for second behind Garrett Wilson in both catches and targets, but New York's offense struggled once again as Zach Wilson threw for just 157 yards. After being limited to one catch for two yards in the season opener, Conklin has eight catches for 76 yards in two subsequent games, and he should remain the Jets' top pass-catching tight end in Week 4 against the Chiefs.
Sep 17, 2023
Five grabs in Sunday's loss
Conklin caught five of six targets for 50 yards in Sunday's 30-10 loss to the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Aside from a 68-yard TD grab by Garrett Wilson (undisclosed), Conklin was the only Jets receiving option to make any kind of impact, as the veteran tight end gave QB Zach Wilson a reliable safety valve in the face of a relentless Dallas pass rush. Conklin doesn't have much of a fantasy ceiling, but his developing chemistry with his young quarterback could give him a solid floor in Week 3 against the Patriots.
Sep 12, 2023
One catch vs. Buffalo
Conklin caught his only target for two yards in Monday's 22-16 overtime win over the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Conklin was the only tight end to draw a target for the Jets, who went with a run-heavy approach after Aaron Rodgers suffered what turned out to be a season-ending torn Achilles on the opening drive. With New York likely to implement a more risk-averse offense for Zach Wilson moving forward, Conklin could see a slight uptick in usage in Week 2 against the Cowboys and beyond.
Aug 26, 2023
Catches lone target Saturday
Conklin started and caught his lone target for seven yards in Saturday's preseason finale against the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Conklin's reception came from the arm of new quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who made his preseason debut with the Jets on Saturday. The veteran tight end posted a modest 58/552/3 receiving line while starting for New York last year, but he could see a slight bump in production simply from the upgrade Rodgers gives this offense. The Jets will mix in veteran C.J. Uzomah and sophomore Jeremy Ruckert at tight end, so Conklin shouldn't be valued as high other starting tight ends who dominate their team's touch/target shares.
Aug 14, 2023
Set to reprise role in 2023
Conklin caught one of two targets for seven yards in Saturday's 27-0 preseason win over Carolina.
ANALYSIS
Conklin got his feet wet in the second of the Jets' four preseason games. After leading New York's tight ends with 552 receiving yards in 2022, Conklin projects to occupy a similar role in 2023 while splitting playing time with C.J. Uzomah. Jeremy Ruckert could also push for playing time at tight end this season, but the 2022 third-round pick suffered a shoulder injury in Saturday's game.
Jan 9, 2023
Different team, same production
Conklin caught two of four targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 11-6 loss to the Dolphins. He had 58 catches on 87 targets for 552 yards and three touchdowns in 2022.
ANALYSIS
An offseason move from Minnesota to New York had a minimal impact on Conklin's stats, as he posted a near carbon copy of his 2021 season with the Vikings. In the first season of his three-year contract with the Jets, Conklin had the same number of targets and touchdowns while totaling three fewer catches and 41 fewer yards than his final year in Minnesota. The 27-year-old tight end finished second on the team behind rookie wide receiver Garrett Wilson in receiving yards, albeit with half of Wilson's total.
Jan 1, 2023
Leads team in receiving
Conklin caught all six of his targets for 80 yards in Sunday's 23-6 loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
The tight end was the only one of Mike White's targets to have any kind of success -- no other Jet had more than three catches, and Corey Davis' 45 receiving yards was second on the team. It's Conklin's best performance since he hauled in 84 yards in Week 3, but he'll remain a volatile fantasy option in Week 18 against the Dolphins.
Dec 23, 2022
Four catches in Week 16
Conklin caught all four of his targets for 34 yards in Thursday's 19-3 loss to the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Conklin finished second on the team in receiving yards behind Michael Carter's 44, as Zach Wilson threw for only 92 yards before being benched well into the third quarter. The offense moved better after Chris Streveler replaced Wilson, but Jets pass catchers will be tough to trust in Week 17 against the Seahawks unless quarterback Mike White (ribs) is cleared to return.
Dec 18, 2022
Watches fellow TE score two TDs
Conklin caught one of two targets for seven yards and added a two-yard run in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Lions.
ANALYSIS
In addition to contributing as a traditional tight end, Conklin also lined up under center to sneak it for a first down on third and short in the third quarter. He watched fellow tight end C.J. Uzomah score his first two touchdowns of the season, pulling within one of Conklin's season total. Conklin continues to see the most volume among Jets tight ends heading into Thursday's home game against the Jaguars.
Dec 11, 2022
Just 28 yards on eight targets
Conklin caught five of eight targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 20-12 loss to Buffalo.
ANALYSIS
Conklin ranked second on the Jets in targets but failed to make much of the volume, falling short of 30 yards for the seventh time in the past nine games. After a strong start to his Jets tenure, Conklin has fallen off despite continuing to get the vast majority of targets over C.J. Uzomah.
Dec 5, 2022
Quiet against former team
Conklin caught two of seven targets for nine yards in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Facing the team with which he spent his first four seasons, Conklin failed to make much of his opportunities. He has been targeted at least seven times on five separate occasions this season, but only two of those busy games have come from Week 4 onward. In Week 14, Conklin will face a Bills team that held him to seven yards back in Week 9.
Nov 27, 2022
Three catches in Week 12 win
Conklin caught all three of his targets for 50 yards in Sunday's 31-10 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Conklin put forth a respectable showing in quarterback Mike White's season debut, highlighted by a 29-yard catch in the third quarter on an accurate delivery from White. The entire Jets passing game looked as good as it has all season with White under center, which bodes well for Conklin's outlook moving forward. The tight end has a revenge game on tap in Week 13 against the Vikings team with which Conklin spent his first four seasons before joining the Jets via free agency this past offseason.
Nov 20, 2022
Two catches in road loss
Conklin caught two of three targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 10-3 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Quarterback Zach Wilson threw for just 77 yards, so Conklin was far from the only Jets skill position player to put forth an underwhelming performance in this one. The 27-year-old tight end has 35 catches for 331 yards through 10 games with the Jets. In Week 12, he'll face a Bears team that held Conklin to his two lowest yardage totals of the season (seven and six) when he was with the Vikings last year.
Nov 7, 2022
Limited role in run-heavy win
Conklin caught one of two targets for seven yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Bills.
ANALYSIS
New York implemented a run-heavy game plan in the upset win, and rookie wide receiver Garrett Wilson was prioritized when the team turned to the air, accounting for eight of Zach Wilson's 18 completions and 92 of the quarterback's 154 passing yards. Conklin's inconsistent usage can be frustrating, as he's been targeted at least seven times on four different occasions but has also drawn two or fewer targets thrice heading into New York's Week 10 bye.
Oct 30, 2022
Scores twice in Week 8 loss
Conklin caught six of 10 targets for 79 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Conklin scored from eight yards out in the second quarter to put the Jets up 10-3, but New York failed to add any more points until Conklin's nine-yard touchdown late in the fourth. These were the first two touchdowns since the season opener for the tight end, who led the Jets in targets and has been targeted at least seven times in four of eight games. A pass-heavy game script is likely in Week 9 against the Bills, which should lead to another high-volume game for Conklin.
Oct 23, 2022
Team-high six targets in Week 7 win
Conklin caught four of six targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 16-9 win over Denver.
ANALYSIS
Conklin led the Jets in targets in a game that saw Corey Davis and Breece Hall exit due to knee injuries while Elijah Moore (personal) sat out. Despite slowing down in recent weeks, Conklin has still racked up an impressive 38 targets through seven games.
Oct 16, 2022
Two targets in Week 6 win
Conklin caught one of two targets for 16 yards and added a one-yard rush in Sunday's 27-10 win over Green Bay.
ANALYSIS
Conklin had one less yard and the same number of targets as C.J. Uzomah. Each of the top two tight ends saw minimal involvement as pass catchers as New York rode its running game and defense to a win at Lambeau Field. Conklin's rushing yard came as the Jets joined the recent trend of sneaking with their tight end from under center to keep its quarterback from taking a hit.
Oct 9, 2022
One target in Week 5
Conklin didn't catch his only target in Sunday's 40-17 win over the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Conklin has just six targets in two games since Zach Wilson returned from a knee injury after racking up 24 over three games with Joe Flacco under center. After his early run of usefulness, Conklin's fantasy stock is falling ahead of a Week 6 trip to Green Bay.
Oct 2, 2022
Three catches in Week 4 win
Conklin caught three of five targets for 52 yards in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Conklin remained involved in Zach Wilson's (knee) season debut under center, as the tight end posted his second-highest yardage total of the season. Heading into Week 5 against the Dolphins, Conkin has totaled 21 catches for 192 yards and a touchdown.
Sep 25, 2022
Eight catches in Week 3 loss
Conklin caught all eight of his targets for 84 yards in Sunday's 27-12 loss to Cincinnati.
ANALYSIS
C.J. Uzomah returned from a hamstring injury, but Conklin remained the clear top pass-catcher among New York's tight ends, as Uzomah was targeted only once. Conklin led all Jets in catches and receiving yards, and he has been targeted 24 times through three weeks by veteran Joe Flacco. He'll hope to get similar volume from Zach Wilson (knee) when the starting quarterback returns, which could be as soon as Week 4 against the Steelers.
Sep 19, 2022
Six catches in Week 2 win
Conklin caught six of nine targets for 40 yards in Sunday's 31-30 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Conklin's usage early in his Jets tenure has been encouraging, as he's had 16 passes thrown his way through two games. He'll need to improve his ball security, as Conklin fumbled for the second consecutive game, though both of them were recovered by the Jets. If C.J. Uzomah (hamstring) returns in Week 3 against the Bengals, he could cut into Conklin's near-monopoly on pass-catching opportunities among New York's tight ends.
Sep 11, 2022
Scores late TD in Week 1 loss
Conklin caught four of seven targets for 14 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-9 loss to Baltimore.
ANALYSIS
Conklin and C.J. Uzomah were both expected to play prominent roles after being signed in free agency, but Conklin was targeted on seven of the eight passes Joe Flacco threw to tight ends, with the other going to Lawrence Cager rather than Uzomah. Conklin didn't make much of the volume until a three-yard touchdown in the final minute, but he'll have some appeal at the thin tight end position in Week 2 against the Browns and beyond if the Jets continue to give him the vast majority of targets at the position.
Aug 14, 2022
Three catches in Jets debut
Conklin caught three of four targets for 23 yards in Friday's 24-21 preseason win over Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Conklin was significantly more involved than fellow offseason acquisition C.J. Uzomah, who drew just one target, albeit in the end zone. It will be hard for either Jets tight end to produce consistent fantasy value while working in a timeshare at the position, but Conklin appears to have the higher ceiling as a pass catcher.
Aug 8, 2022
Building rapport with Wilson
Conklin was the most targeted player in Saturday's practice, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.
ANALYSIS
Conklin caught seven passes from starting quarterback Zach Wilson, including a touchdown. Coach Robert Saleh has described Conklin's performance in camp as "a pleasant surprise" and Conklin has consistently won 1-on-1 matchups against defenders. Both Conklin and fellow offseason addition C.J. Uzomah are likely to see significant playing time in 2022, but it sounds like the former Vikings tight end has made the stronger impression as a pass-catcher thus far.
Mar 16, 2022
Jetting to New York
The Jets and Conklin agreed to terms on a contract Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
In 2021, Conklin benefited from the loss of Irv Smith for the season due to a torn meniscus in late August, breaking out with a 61-593-3 line on 87 targets in 17 games. With his new squad, Conklin joins C.J. Uzomah to form a remodeled tight end room. Conklin likely will play second fiddle to Uzomah, and passes from second-year signal-caller Zach Wilson may be difficult to come by in an offense that includes wide receivers Corey Davis (groin), Elijah Moore (quadriceps/illness) and Braxton Berrios.
Jan 18, 2022
Minimal role in season finale
Conklin caught two of four targets for six yards during Week 18's 31-17 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
With Irv Smith (knee) lost for the year before the season began, Conklin came into 2021 with a bigger role than expected. He faired admirably, notching multiple catches in all but one game and finished the 2021 campaign with 61 receptions for 593 yards and three touchdowns -- all career highs. Conklin is set to be a free agent this offseason, so he may draw some interest from around the league after his career year, which in turn would make it difficult for the Vikings to bring him back.
Jan 3, 2022
Gets nine targets in loss
Conklin (hamstring) had five receptions (nine targets) for 47 yards in Sunday's 37-10 loss to Green Bay.
ANALYSIS
Conklin did have a minor scare when he was leveled with a clean hit while trying to haul in a pass, resulting in a wild immaculate reception type of play where Minnesota's center, Garrett Bradbury, caught the deflection and rumbled for 21 yards. The Vikings' starting tight end stayed on the ground after absorbing the big hit, but he appeared to favoring his midsection and not his previously-injured hamstring. Conklin eventually returned to the game and appears to have avoided serious injury heading into the regular season finale against the Bears next Sunday.
Jan 2, 2022
Playing in Week 17
Conklin (hamstring) is active for Sunday's contest at Green Bay.
ANALYSIS
Conklin increased his activity level slowly but surely throughout Week 17 prep, going from no activity Wednesday to all of it at Friday's practice. He still carried a questionable tag into the weekend, but it's now been removed as the Vikings posted their list of inactives. Minnesota's offense will be directed by Sean Mannion on Sunday after Kirk Cousins (illness) tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, but with Adam Thielen (ankle) on injured reserve Conklin has less competition than normal for targets.
Jan 2, 2022
Expected to play
Conklin (hamstring), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Green Bay, is expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Conklin was able to put in a full practice Friday, so he looks set to play. Quarterback play may be the larger issue for Conklin, with Sean Mannion set to make his first start since 2019 with Kirk Cousins on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Dec 31, 2021
Questionable after full practice
Conklin (hamstring) turned in a full practice Friday but will carry a questionable designation into Sunday's game in Green Bay, Craig Peters of the Vikings' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
For the first time all season, Conklin heads into game day with a designation, though his ability to take every rep Friday bodes well for his chances of avoiding the inactive list. Assuming Conklin gets the green light to play, he could prove to be a trusted safety valve underneath for fill-in starting quarterback Sean Mannion, who is less likely to take chances downfield than Kirk Cousins. With Cousins on the reserve/COVID-19 list after testing positive for the virus Friday, the Vikings could struggle to keep pace with a high-powered Green Bay offense in the rematch of a game that produced 65 points between the teams in Week 11, though Conklin may be less likely than wideouts Justin Jefferson and K.J. Osborn to be hindered from a production standpoint.
Dec 31, 2021
Questionable for SNF
Conklin (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Green Bay, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Conklin has a shot to play after his Thursday return to practice, but there'll be some extra risk if he's a game-time decision with the Packers and Vikings playing Sunday night (8:20 p.m. ET kickoff). There's also the matter of Sean Mannion replacing Kirk Cousins (reserve/COVID-19) at QB, though it might impact a short-area possession target like Conklin less than it affects WRs Justin Jefferson and K.J. Osborn. All of it makes Conklin a risky Week 17 fantasy play, while Chris Herndon and Luke Stocker likely will form some kind of timeshare if the Vikings' starting tight end is inactive Sunday night.
Dec 30, 2021
Bumps up to limited Thursday
Conklin (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Conklin showed some progress Thursday after not handling any practice reps one day prior as he deals with a hamstring issue. While he's on a path to gain clearance to play ahead of a Week 17 matchup at Green Bay, it's unclear whether it may happen on Friday's injury report or 90 minutes before Sunday's 7:20 p.m. kickoff.
Dec 29, 2021
Dealing with hamstring issue
Conklin didn't practice Wednesday due to a hamstring injury.
ANALYSIS
Aside from having practice limitations during Week 4 prep due to glute and elbow issues, Conklin has avoided Vikings injury reports this season. His weekly numbers mostly has been modest, but he still has put together a 54-540-3 line on 74 targets, which easily surpasses the 32-329-1 line on 43 targets that he combined for in his first three campaigns. Assuming he's able to put the issue behind him by Sunday night's game at Green Bay, Conklin could be in line for more volume following the placement of Adam Thielen (ankle) on injured reserve Wednesday.
Dec 27, 2021
Back on track in Week 16
Conklin caught four of his five targets for 44 yards during Sunday's 30-23 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Conklin had caught at least two passes in every single game this season until he was held to just one catch for seven yards against the Bears in Week 15. However, the tight end bounced back against the Rams to notch his seventh game with at least four catches and his seventh game with at least 40 yards receiving. Through 15 games, the 26-year-old has totaled 54 catches for 540 yards and three touchdowns. Conklin caught all three of his targets for 35 yards during the Vikings' first meeting with the Packers and will likely see a similar workload during the rematch in Week 17.
Dec 21, 2021
Limited to one catch
Conklin brought in one of three targets for seven yards in the Vikings' 17-9 win over the Bears on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
The emerging tight end had a rough night, one which was more or less emblematic of the struggles of the Vikings passing game as a while. Conklin has established new career highs across the board this season, but he's now been limited to no more than three receptions and 35 receiving yards in five of the last six contests. Conklin's next chance to boost his production back up comes in a Week 16 home matchup against the Rams that will be critical to Minnesota's playoff hopes.
Dec 15, 2021
Quiet Week 14
Conklin caught both his targets for 20 yards during Thursday's 36-28 win over the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Conklin appeared poised for a larger role in the passing game with Adam Thielen (ankle) sidelined, but Justin Jefferson and K.J. Osborn were targeted on 24 of Kirk Cousins' 31 pass attempts. The two targets were a season low for Conklin, though it's the sixth time this year he's finished below 30 receiving yards.
Dec 5, 2021
Nine targets in loss
Conklin caught seven of nine targets for 56 yards in Sunday's 29-27 loss to Detroit.
ANALYSIS
The nine targets set a new highwater mark for Conklin this season, which was due in large part to the absence of Adam Thielen (ankle), who left the contest early in the first quarter. The 25-year-old's seven receptions also tied his season high this year, and he figures to see a small uptick in attention from Kirk Cousins for as long as Thielen is sidelined. Conklin would make for a strong bye week fill-in option Thursday against the Steelers if the Vikings are forced to play without their No. 2 wideout.
Nov 29, 2021
Posts 25 yards in loss
Conklin caught two of his three targets for 25 yards during Sunday's 34-26 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Conklin has caught multiple passes in every game this season and has totaled 40 receptions for 413 yards and three touchdowns through 11 contests. The 25-year-old has solidified a nice role as the Vikings' No. 1 passing catching tight end with Irv Smith (knee) out for the season. He will likely remain a high-floor fantasy option against the Lions in Week 12.
Nov 8, 2021
Five receptions in loss
Conklin had five receptions on seven targets for 49 yards in Sunday's loss at Baltimore.
ANALYSIS
Conklin tied for the team lead in targets as he continues to become a main weapon for Kirk Cousins in the passing game. He has just one touchdown this season, however, and just four end zone targets.
Nov 1, 2021
Five receptions in loss
Conklin had five receptions for 57 yards on seven targets in Sunday's loss to Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Conklin continues to have a steady role in the passing offense as he's had five or more targets in four of his last five games. He has just one touchdown this season, but at 6-3 could still emerge as a red zone target.
Oct 17, 2021
New season high in yards
Conklin had three receptions (five targets) for 71 yards in Sunday's 34-28 win over the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Conklin surpassed his previous single-game high in yards this season by one yard, doing most of his damage on a big 40-yard play. The 26-year-old remains the starting tight end of Minnesota, but his lack of targets (five per game) and a red zone looks (just three this season) caps his fantasy potential. However, Conklin appears to be a solid bye week fill-in due to his consistent, albeit low, usage once he returns from Minnesota's upcoming bye week.
Oct 4, 2021
Six targets but few yards
Conklin had four receptions for 18 yards on six targets in Sunday's loss to Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Conklin missed practice Wednesday due to glute and elbow injuries, but made it back on the field Thursday and Friday and looked at full speed Sunday. While he produced just 18 yards from scrimmage, it was encouraging that he had six targets after eight in Week 3. Minnesota struggled to move the ball against Cleveland's tough defense, so his continued involvement in the passing game bodes well for an easier matchup next week against Detroit.
Oct 1, 2021
Cleared for Week 4
Conlkin (glute/elbow) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's matchup with Seattle.
ANALYSIS
Conklin missed practice Wednesday but made it back on the field Thursday and Friday. He caught seven of eight targets for 70 yards and a touchdown last week in the 30-17 win over Seattle, after hauling in six of eight targets for 56 yards over the first two weeks combined. While he isn't much of a big-play threat, Conklin's workload (16 targets, 74.0 percent snap share) puts him on the map as at least a streaming option in fantasy.
Sep 30, 2021
Moves up to limited showing
Conklin (glute/elbow) was limited at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
In the heels of a seven-catch, 70-yard and one-touchdown performance Week 3 against the Seahawks, Conklin was unable to put in any official practice reps Wednesday. One day later, he's bumped up to some activity, but it remains to be seen if he'll be able to enter this weekend without a game-day designation. Beyond Conklin on the TE depth chart, Minnesota has Chris Herndon and Ben Ellefson (neck) on the active roster, while Zach Davidson and Brandon Dillon are on the practice squad.
Sep 29, 2021
Dealing with pair of injuries
Conklin was held out of Wednesday's practice due to glute and elbow injuries.
ANALYSIS
Conklin instead worked out with the training staff on the side Wednesday, per Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. After busting out for seven catches (on eight targets) for 70 yards and one touchdown this past Sunday against the Seahawks, Conklin could be in danger of missing time. If he does, Chris Herndon, Ben Ellefson and potentially practice-squad members Zach Davidson and Brandon Dillon may be beneficiaries.

Not practicing Wednesday
Conklin (undisclosed) didn't participate in the portion of Wednesday's practice open to the media, Chad Graff of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Instead, Conklin worked on a side field with a member of the Vikings' training staff, according to Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. The nature of Conklin's injury is unclear, but it's coming on the heels of his best game of the season in Week 3, when he hauled in seven of eight targets for 70 yards and one touchdown against the Seahawks.

Seven grabs including TD in win
Conklin caught seven of eight targets for 70 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-17 win over the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
After two quiet performances to begin the season, Conklin broke out in a big way Sunday, catching the first of Kirk Cousins' three TD passes on a seven-yard strike in the first quarter. The tight end is well behind Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen in the pecking order when it comes to the Minnesota passing game, but he appears to be firmly entrenched at the top of the depth chart at his own position heading into a Week 4 tilt against the Browns.

Two receptions Sunday
Conklin had two receptions for 15 yards on four targets in Sunday's loss to Arizona.
ANALYSIS
Conklin played 49 snaps on offense and went out for passes on 23 snaps (after playing 59 snaps and running 38 routes in Week 1). He's the clear top tight end, but has a minimal role in the passing game as the Vikings have more prominently featured a third receiver (K.J. Osborn) more than previous seasons in the passing game. Conklin could eventually find more of a red zone role with his size (6-3).

Four receptions Sunday
Conklin had four receptions on four targets for 41 yards in Sunday's overtime loss at Cincinnati.
ANALYSIS
With Irv Smith out for the season with a knee injury, Conklin moved into the top tight end role and played 59 snaps on offense, going out for a pass on 38 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus. It was a slight negative that the Vikings utilized a third receiver (K.J. Osborn) more than usual in the passing game, but the Vikings were also playing much of the game from behind. Conklin may have a larger role if the team isn't playing behind, but he showed he'll be a part of the passing game and could emerge as a red zone target. Chris Herndon still has the possibility to cut into Conklin's playing time, but Herndon played just 12 snaps Sunday as he gets up to speed on the offense after being traded to the Vikings from the Jets late in the preseason.

Puts in full practice
Conklin (hamstring) practiced fully Thursday, Craig Peters of the Vikings' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Conklin didn't suit up during the preseason due to a minor hamstring injury, which also limited him at Wednesday's practice. Now that he's put together an uncapped showing on the field, the Vikings will be going with Conklin, Chris Herndon, Brandon Dillon and Ben Ellefson at tight end with Irv Smith out for the season following a meniscectomy.

Still limited by hamstring
Conklin (hamstring) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Craig Peters of the Vikings' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Conklin dealt with a pair of injury concerns in training camp and the preseason. The current one is a mild hamstring injury, which kept him out of all three of Minnesota's games last month. In the wake of Irv Smith's season-ending meniscectomy in late August, Conklin elevated to the top of the TE depth chart, but Chris Herndon has since joined the group from the Jets. Conklin, Herndon, Brandon Dillon and Ben Ellefson compose the Vikings' TEs heading into the campaign.

Under the spotlight with Smith out
Conklin's teammate Irv Smith (knee) is expected to miss the entire season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The Vikings traded for Chris Herndon on Tuesday but mostly seem to be counting on Conklin to shoulder the burden -- at least initially while Herndon gets up to speed. Coach Mike Zimmer did also mention that Smith's injury will impact formation usage, with the Vikings likely using more three-wide sets than they did last season when Smith, Conklin and Kyle Rudolph (now with the Giants) all were on the team. Still, Conklin could be looking at 50-plus snaps per week even in a more spread-out offense, given that Herndon and 2019 UDFA Brandon Dillon are the only other tight ends on the initial 53-man roster. Conklin won't blow anyone away with his 4.8 speed, but he did catch 19 of 26 targets for 194 yards last year, at least proving himself competent in the passing game. He returned to practice Monday after dealing with a hamstring injury for much of training camp

Competition arrives
Conklin (hamstring) is facing increased competition for snaps with the Vikings having traded for tight end Chris Herndon from the Jets, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Conklin looks set to begin the regular season in a starting role while Irv Smith (knee) recovers from surgery, but it appears that the Vikings desire more security at the tight end position during that time. The severity of Smith's meniscus injury remains undisclosed, and there's a chance it could be season-ending, so the acquisition of Herndon could speak as much about those worries as concerns about Conklin's skill set. In any case, Herndon is coming off back-to-back disappointing seasons in New York and now faces the task of learning a new offense, so as long as Conklin can shake his hamstring injury, he'll remain on track to start Sept. 12's season opener in Cincinnati.

Headed for Week 1 start
Conklin (hamstring) is scheduled to return to practice Monday, while fellow Vikings tight end Irv Smith needs knee surgery, Chad Graff of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
There's a chance Smith's surgery is season-ending, if it ends up being a meniscus repair rather than a meniscectomy/debridement. Meanwhile, Conklin's return Monday puts him on track for the start Week 1 at Cincinnati, after missing the past two weeks of practice and the final two preseason games. His solid performance last year had him locked in for the No. 2 spot at tight end this season, but while the Vikings may be comfortable using Conklin as a fill-in starter, Zimmer acknowledged Monday that he's worried about depth. He's right to be concerned, as the Vikings now have only a rookie fifth-round pick (Zach Davidson) and two undrafted young players (Brandon Dillon, Shane Zylstra) behind Conklin, who himself had caught just 13 passes in 39 NFL games before he took on a larger role around Week 10 last year. Even so, Conklin could have short-term fantasy value if he defaults to a three-down role in what should be a solid offense.

Chance to fill in for Smith
Conklin, who hasn't played during the preseason as he deals with a hamstring injury, has a chance to see an expanded role, health permitting, with Irv Smith (knee) expected to miss time early on this season, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
With Kyle Rudolph no longer in the mix, Smith had been viewed as a possible fantasy break-out candidate in 2021. With that potential outcome on hold, Conklin could emerge as an option in deeper formats early on this season. Meanwhile, Brandon Dillon, Zach Davidson and Shane Zylstra are also currently in the Vikings' tight end mix.

Dealing with minor injury
Conklin suffered a mild hamstring injury Monday, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
The tight end left practice early with a trainer but reportedly isn't expected to be out too long. Conklin is the Vikings' No. 2 tight end, with his solid performance late last season perhaps making it easier for the team to move on from Kyle Rudolph (now with the Giants) in the offseason. The role may entail only 2-4 targets per game, but Conklin could establish mainstream fantasy value if starter Irv Smith misses any time.

Makes two grabs
Conklin caught both of his targets for 11 yards in Monday night's 19-13 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Conklin moved up the depth chart with Irv Smith (groin) sidelined and made his first couple receptions of the campaign. Should Smith remain out Sunday versus the Cowboys, Conklin would figure to assume a similar role, boosting his value despite his still-restricted ceiling.
Sep 14, 2020
No touches Sunday
Conklin did not have a target in Sunday's loss to Green Bay. He played just eight snaps on offense.
ANALYSIS
With both Kyle Rudolph and Irv Smith, Jr. healthy, Conklin is going to have a minimal role on offense and will get most of his snaps (12 on Sunday) on special teams.
