Uncertain on return to NFL
Hill (knee) hasn't decided if he will continue playing football or retire from the NFL, ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill's immediate focus is on his recovery from a significant knee injury suffered Sept. 29 against the Jets. What will come after that for the 31-year-old wide receiver has yet to be determined. Hill's under contract with the Dolphins in 2026 at a cap hit of $52 million, but Miami can void the deal and instead incur just over $28 million of dead cap space. Even in the most optimistic recovery scenario, Hill will be hard-pressed to be ready for the start of the 2026 season.

Officially on IR
Hill (knee) has officially been placed on IR by the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Per Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN, Hill -- who underwent a major procedure Tuesday to repair his dislocated left knee and multiple torn ligaments, including his ACL -- won't need additional surgery, with agent Drew Rosenhaus indicating afterward that the wideout will play next season, while noting that "the realistic goal is the start of the season." In Hill's absence for the rest of the 2025 campaign, Malik Washington and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine are in line to see expanded roles alongside top WR Jaylen Waddle, with Dee Eskridge, Cedrick Wilson and Tahj Washington available to mix in.

Surgery goes well, eyes '26 return
Hill isn't expected to require any follow-up procedures after undergoing successful season-ending surgery Tuesday to repair a dislocated left knee and multiple torn ligaments, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Citing Hill's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, Schefter relays that the receiver's surgery "went very well according to his doctors," and a return to game action at the start of the 2026 season is considered a "realistic goal." Though the 31-year-old will face the tough challenge of working his way back from a major knee injury that included an ACL repair, the fact that he seemingly avoided any nerve damage and won't need multiple surgeries bodes well for his long-term outlook. That being said, his availability for the start of next season is far from guaranteed, and Hill may well have played his last snap as a member of the Dolphins after exiting early in the second half of Monday's 27-21 win over the Jets. Hill remains under contract for 2026 at a base salary of $29.9 million, but none of that money is currently guaranteed, and the Dolphins could cut him at no cost up until the third day of the new league year in March.

Season-ending surgery confirmed
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel confirmed that Hill (knee) underwent season-ending surgery Tuesday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
McDaniel relayed that Hill's surgery addressed a dislocation of the receiver's left knee, as well as damage to multiple ligaments, including a torn ACL. Given the extensive damage he sustained to his knee in Monday's 27-21 win over the Jets, the 31-year-old wideout could require additional follow-up procedures, which may affect his availability heading into the 2026 season. Hill will be entering the final season of his contract in 2026 at a non-guaranteed $29.9 million salary, though he'll be fully guaranteed $11 million plus a $5 million bonus if he remains on Miami's roster through the third day of the new league year in March. He'll finish the 2025 campaign with a 21-265-1 receiving line on 29 targets over his four games.
Sep 30, 2025
Slated to undergo knee surgery
Hill tore multiple ligaments in the knee that he dislocated in Monday night's win over the Jets, including his ACL, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and Adam Schefter of ESPN report.
ANALYSIS
Per the reports, Hill is slated to undergo surgery Tuesday, and based on the severity of his injury, the wideout is facing a lengthy recovery process. In the looming absence of Hill, Malik Washington and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine are candidates to see added snaps/targets alongside Jaylen Waddle, with Dee Eskridge and Tahj Washington in reserve.
Sep 29, 2025
Diagnosis confirmed
Hill dislocated his left knee in the third quarter of Monday's win over the Jets, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill suffered the injury early in the third quarter and was carted off the field, surrounded by his teammates. He'll stay in the hospital overnight for further evaluation. Hill will be sidelined for the rest of the season, with a shift to injured reserve likely coming in the next few days.
Sep 29, 2025
Dislocated knee feared
Hill is believed to have dislocated his left knee during Monday's game against the Jets, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill has been ruled out of Monday's game with a serious leg injury that he suffered early in the third quarter. He went to a local hospital to undergo imaging, at which time the diagnosis of his injury should become official.
Sep 29, 2025
Officially ruled out
Hill has been ruled out for the rest of Monday's game against the Jets due to a knee injury.
ANALYSIS
This comes as no surprise after Hill was carted off the field early in the third quarter with what appeared to be a very serious leg injury. He is being taken to a hospital for further evaluation, and an official diagnosis should follow.
Sep 29, 2025
Carted off with leg injury
Hill was carted off the field in the third quarter of Monday's game against the Jets with a left leg injury, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill made a 12-yard catch early in the third quarter and had his leg twisted on the tackle. The injury looks to be serious, and he was carted off the field surrounded by his teammates as well as many Jets players.
Sep 27, 2025
Clear for MNF
Hill (personal) doesn't have a designation for Monday's game versus the Jets, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill didn't attend Saturday's practice due to personal reasons, but the absence won't affect his ability to play on game day. Through three contests in 2025, he's hauled in 15 of 23 targets for 198 yards and one touchdown, and he'll facing a Jets defense Monday that has allowed the ninth-most receiving yards (489) to opposing wide receivers this season.
Sep 27, 2025
Missing Saturday's practice
Hill is not participating in Saturday's practice due to personal reasons, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Although he's missing Saturday's practice, Furones relays that Hill is still expected to play in Monday night's AFC East tilt against the Jets. Hill has opened the 2025 regular season with 15 catches (on 23 targets) for 198 yards and one touchdown across three games, and he's also contributed on special teams with a 19-yard punt return.
Sep 18, 2025
Records TD despite modest yardage
Hill secured five of 10 targets for 49 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 31-21 loss to the Bills on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Hill led the Dolphins in targets and receiving yards on the night, adding his first touchdown catch of the season on a five-yard grab early in the fourth quarter. The mercurial speedster has logged 23 targets through three games and parlayed them into a 15-198-1 line, but Tua Tagovailoa's overall struggles and the general malaise that's seemingly befallen the Dolphins keeps Hill's fantasy outlook somewhat murky heading into a Week 4 home matchup against the Jets on Monday night, Sept. 29 where he's likely to see plenty of Sauce Gardner's coverage.
Sep 14, 2025
Crosses 100-yard mark in loss
Hill brought in six of seven targets for 109 yards and returned one punt for 19 yards in the Dolphins' 33-27 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill set the pace for the Dolphins in receiving yards while checking in second in receptions and targets. Hill's day could have been even bigger had Tua Tagovailoa not missed him wide open on a second-half pass, but the fact the talented wideout put together his first 100-yard effort of the campaign was certainly a bright spot during a loss that dropped the Dolphins to 0-2. With Miami desperate for a win, Hill figures to be prominently featured again in a Thursday night Week 3 road matchup against the Bills that is arguably already a critical game for the Dolphins.
Sep 10, 2025
Not on Week 2 injury report
Hill, who was limited at practice last Wednesday and Thursday, is not listed on the Dolphins' Week 2 injury report, Travis Wingfield of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill managed oblique and calf issue leading up to Week 1 action, but didn't carry an injury designation ahead of Miami's 33-8 loss to the Colts on Sunday, and is now off the injury report altogether. Per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, on the subject of recent domestic violence allegations pertaining to Hill -- that are being reviewed by the league, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network -- coach Mike McDaniel noted Wednesday, "we've been in communication with the NFL and will let the process play out." In Miami's regular-season opener, Hill was on the field for 62 percent of the team's snaps on offense and caught four of his six targets for 40 yards.
Sep 7, 2025
Subdued performance in Week 1 loss
Hill brought in four of six targets for 40 yards in the Dolphins' 33-8 loss to the Colts on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill finished as the co-leader in receptions and set the pace in receiving yards, but on a day when Tua Tagovailoa threw for only 114 yards, tossed two interceptions and took three sacks, those team-leading numbers weren't exactly noteworthy. The veteran speedster entered Week 1 with at least some mild questions surrounding his fantasy outlook, but Hill appeared to maximize his opportunities in a negative game environment Sunday and could be in line for a boost in production in a Week 2 home matchup against a Patriots defense that gave up 362 passing yards to the Raiders' Geno Smith in Week 1.
Sep 5, 2025
Set to suit up Week 1
Hill (oblique/calf) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game at Indianapolis, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
After being diagnosed with an oblique injury in early August, Hill missed most practices and Miami's entire preseason slate in the meantime, but he got back on the field last Thursday and then followed an LP/LP/FP practice regimen during Week 1 prep, paving the way for him to be available to the offense Sunday. He's coming off a down campaign for him, having put up 81 catches (on 123 targets) for 959 yards and six touchdowns in 17 regular-season games in 2024.
Sep 5, 2025
On track for Sunday
Coach Mike McDaniel noted Friday that Hill (oblique) is "absolutely" on track to play Sunday against the Colts, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The same applies to RB De'Von Achane (calf), with both players having been limited at practice Wednesday and Thursday. Friday's final injury report will reveal whether Hill heads into the weekend with an injury designation or fully cleared for Week 1 action.
Sep 4, 2025
Limited again Thursday
Hill (oblique) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel has stated that he expects Hill to suit up Week 1, but the veteran wideout will only have one more chance to upgrade to full participation ahead of Sunday's road matchup against the Colts. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa said Wednesday he and Hill are "good" entering Week 1, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN, downplaying offseason concerns about their relationship by saying "people might've blown it out of proportion." If there was once any tension between the two after Hill pulled himself out of the 2024 regular-season finale early, Tagovailoa said "we've worked on it, and I think that conversation is dead now."
Sep 3, 2025
Increasing his practice workload
Hill (oblique) has been ramping up his practice workload and will be a limited participant Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill returned to practice last Thursday after missing a little more than three weeks, with coach Mike McDaniel saying at the time that he expected the wideout to play Week 1. It sounds like Hill is still on track to face the Colts this Sunday, but he may need an upgrade to full participation Thursday or Friday in order to get the go-ahead. McDaniel also mentioned that Hill would get would some work in team drills Wednesday.
Sep 1, 2025
Practicing again Monday
Hill (oblique) is participating in Monday's practice, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill continues to ramp up his activity level ahead of Sunday's regular-season opener on the road against Indianapolis. The 31-year-old wideout missed roughly three weeks of practice before retaking the field Aug. 28, but the Dolphins never indicated serious concern about his status for Week 1. Barring any setbacks, it appears he'll be available Sunday versus the Colts.
Aug 28, 2025
Begins ramping up for Week 1
Hill (oblique) returned to practice Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel confirmed Thursday that Hill is expected to suit up Week 1 versus the Colts, and the veteran wideout is now back on the practice field for the first time in roughly three weeks. Per Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald, McDaniel said "everything looks great" regarding Hill's return to practice, though the veteran wideout is only handling limited activity. Expect the Dolphins to ramp up Hill's on-field reps gradually as the regular-season opener on the road against Indianapolis on Sunday, Sept. 7 approaches.
Aug 28, 2025
Remains on track for Week 1
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said Thursday that Hill (oblique), who remained sidelined at practice Wednesday, is on track to suit up Week 1 on the road against Indianapolis, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill has scarcely taken the practice field since early August due to a lingering oblique injury, but Miami expects that he and fellow key starter De'Von Achane (calf) will be available for the regular-season opener. New tight end Darren Waller, who spent most of the preseason working on his conditioning, took part in team drills Wednesday, so quarterback Tua Tagovailoa seems on track to have his full assortment of pass-catchers available Week 1. That said, it may not be until next week's official practice reports are released that fantasy managers are provided clearer insight on whether or not Hill could be limited in any capacity to kick off the 2025 campaign.
Aug 27, 2025
Absent from practice Wednesday
Hill (oblique) is not participating in Wednesday's practice, Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill remains sidelined due to the lingering oblique injury that's limited him to only a handful of appearances at practice since early August. The Dolphins haven't yet expressed any signs of concern about Hill's availability for Week 1, so the team could simply be taking a cautious approach to his health in order to avoid any setbacks. It will be significant, however, for Hill to get back on the field in next week and begin ramping up for the regular-season opener against Indianapolis on Sunday, Sept. 7.
Aug 20, 2025
Sitting out another practice
Hill (oblique) is not practicing Wednesday, Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill has been on-and-off the practice field due to a lingering oblique injury since early August, though he's been sidelined the majority of the time. Kelly now speculates that the veteran wideout could sit out practice until the start of the regular season, to prioritize getting back to full health in time for Week 1 against the Colts on Sunday, Sept. 7. Overall, Miami's pass-catching corps has been trending in the right direction, with Jaylen Waddle back at practice and TE Darren Waller (undisclosed) having come off the active/PUP list Wednesday, though RB De'Von Achane (calf) seems to be facing a similar recovery timetable to Hill. Expect Hill to sit out Saturday's preseason finale against the Jaguars.
Aug 14, 2025
Not practicing Thursday
Hill (oblique) won't practice Thursday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The report suggests that Hill, who has been managing an oblique injury, made a push to be on the field Thursday, but the Dolphins training staff is inclined to play it safe with the wideout in order to avoid a setback. With coach Mike McDaniel having indicated that at this stage he's not planning on using his starters this weekend, per Dante Collinelli of SI.com, Hill's next chance to see game action will occur Aug. 23 against the Jaguars.
Aug 13, 2025
Returning to practice Wednesday
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said Wednesday that Hill (oblique) will participate in joint practices against the Lions but will continue to be monitored "so we can protect him against himself," Tom D'Angelo of the Palm Beach Post reports.
ANALYSIS
McDaniel said Hill and Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed), who will also return to practice Wednesday, both remain "day-to-day." It sounds like Hill's reps will be limited in some capacity, but it's encouraging to see him cleared to participate in joint practices. After his oblique injury forced him to sit out Miami's preseason opener against the Bears, Hill's next opportunity to log exhibition action will arrive Saturday on the road against Detroit.
Aug 12, 2025
Still day-to-day
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said Tuesday that Hill (oblique) is still day-to-day and that he's unsure whether the wide receiver will participate in joint practices with the Lions, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
McDaniel said the same of fellow starting wideout Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed), who like Hill sat out Sunday's preseason opener against the Bears due to what seems like a minor injury. There haven't yet been any serious warning flags raised regarding the status of either Hill or Waddle for Week 1, but it's less than ideal for both Miami's star receivers to be missing preseason reps at this stage. It still sounds possible that one or both of Hill/Waddle could take part in joint practices this week, though, with McDaniel saying "they're definitely in the conversation," per David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
Aug 10, 2025
Not on track to play Sunday
Based on pre-game warmups, Hill (oblique) is not in line to play in Sunday's preseason opener against the Bears, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
It appears the Dolphins will be without their top wideout duo with both Hill and Jaylen Waddle absent from pre-game warmups. Hill is currently working through an oblique injury, and his next opportunity to suit up will be Aug. 16 against the Lions.
Aug 8, 2025
Has oblique injury
Hill is dealing with an oblique injury, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill, who was absent from Wednesday's session, was present Friday (as he was Thursday), but not in pads. With that in mind, it doesn't seem likely that the wideout will play in Sunday's preseason opener against the Bears.
Aug 7, 2025
Present for Thursday's practice
Hill (undisclosed) suited up for Thursday's practice Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.
ANALYSIS
After being absent from Wednesday's session, Hill was on the field one day later, though Schad notes that the wideout mostly worked on lower-body stretching and sprinting with trainers in the process. While his presence at Thursday's practice is encouraging, it's unclear if Hill will play in Sunday's preseason opener against the Bears.
Aug 6, 2025
Absent due to undisclosed injury
Hill is absent from Wednesday's practice with an undisclosed injury, Alain Poupart of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It's the first report of any health trouble since Hill declared himself fully recovered from offseason wrist surgery at the start of training camp. He's played 15 or more regular-season games in eight of his nine professional seasons, including either 16 or 17 appearances each of the past four years.
Jul 22, 2025
Declares himself fully healthy
Hill (wrist) said Tuesday that he's fully healthy heading into training camp, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill added that he's been working out hard this offseason and has something to prove coming off a down 2024 season. He's reportedly down to 183 pounds at the start of camp, according to Wolfe, and claims he hasn't lost any of his trademark speed. Hill is entering his age-31 season and is coming off a year in which he failed to reach 1,000 yards receiving for the first time since 2019, despite starting all 17 regular-season contests. Having Tua Tagovailoa back healthy will certainly help, but there's risk in using an early-round fantasy pick on 31-year-old Hill. His yards per game dropped dramatically from 2023 (112.4) to 2024 (career-low 56.4). The plus is that there will be plenty of targets in a concentrated Miami passing offense that figures to feed Hill, Jaylen Waddle, De'Von Achane and even newcomer Darren Waller.
Jun 10, 2025
Catches passes at minicamp
Hill (wrist) participated in receiving drills at Day 1 of mandatory minicamp Tuesday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill didn't participate in team drills at the start of mandatory minicamp, but it was a positive sign to see him catching passes for the first time since undergoing a pair of offseason wrist surgeries. The 31-year-old veteran remains on track to be fully cleared by the start of training camp. After tallying over 1,700 receiving yards and a combined 20 touchdowns in 2022 and 2023, Hill regressed to the tune of an 81-959-6 receiving line in 2024 despite suiting up for all 17 regular-season games. Hill will be a value in 2025 fantasy drafts if he can bounce back to something resembling his usual form, though the days of him being a candidate to lead the league in receiving yards are likely in the past.
May 28, 2025
Not catching passes yet
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Wednesday that Hill (wrist) is not ready to take part in catching drills at OTAs, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill has undergone two surgeries on his left wrist this offseason, both to address an issue initially sustained during joint practices with the Commanders in August of 2024. Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald reports that the 31-year-old wideout is participating in most drills other than catching and blocking, while McDaniel has previously stated that the Dolphins are expecting Hill to return to full strength closer to training camp in July. Injuries and an offense focused more on short and intermediate throws to De'Von Achane and Jonnu Smith than downfield looks resulted in both Hill and Jaylen Waddle significantly regressing in 2024, sending both tumbling down 2025 fantasy draft boards. As long as Hill continues to not infrequently fall outside the top-12 drafted wide receivers he will carry undeniable upside, though there's serious risk that even with his wrist at full health he never again approaches production similar to the back-to-back 1,700-yard seasons he logged with Miami in 2022 and 2023.
May 7, 2025
Undergoes another procedure
Hill posted on his Snapchat account Wednesday that he had a procedure to remove screws from his left wrist, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill previously had surgery on the wrist in question earlier this offseason. The original injury stemmed from a joint practice with the Commanders last August, but the veteran wide receiver played through the pain en route to an 81-959-6 line on 123 targets across 17 regular-season games. Each of those marks equated to campaign lows since joining the Dolphins in 2022, and his TD total matched a career low since he was selected in the fifth round of the 2016 Draft. Coach Mike McDaniel said in February that Hill likely won't resume football activities until "around summertime going into training camp," so there appears to be a good chance that he misses the entire offseason program in May and early June.
Apr 15, 2025
Miami not pursuing trade
Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said Tuesday that the team is not currently considering trading Hill (wrist), Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Grier noted that Hill, who is recovering from wrist surgery, has been present at team facilities during the early portion of the offseason and is working with new wide receivers coach Robert Prince, per David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. He dismissed the team's desire to trade the veteran wideout by saying the organization would "consider it" for the unrealistic return of "two first-rounders," Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. By the end of the 2024 season things appeared fractured enough between Hill and Miami that a parting of ways was inevitable, but the 31-year-old has since made public efforts to mend relations. After surpassing 1,700 receiving yards in two consecutive prior years, Hill was limited to an 81-959-6 line across 17 regular-season appearances in 2024, enduring both a nagging wrist injury and tumult at the quarterback position.
Feb 25, 2025
Recovering from wrist surgery
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said Tuesday that Hill is recovering from left wrist surgery undergone to address a ligament issue, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill was listed on the injury report for much of the 2024 campaign with a 'wrist' designation, which helps on some level to explain his decline in production, having logged an 81-959-6 receiving line across 17 regular-season games, a notable decrease after he'd exceeded 1,700 receiving yards the prior to years. The veteran wideout pulled himself from Miami's finale against the Jets in Week 18, saying "I'm out," but on the "Up & Adams Show" he recently reframed those as mere "frustrated" comments, saying "I don't want to go nowhere" and that "we are really building something special in Miami," Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN reports. Hill is on schedule to be able to catch again during the summer, per Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post,

Still committed to Miami?
Hill's agent Drew Rosenhaus said Thursday that the wideout is still "committed to this Dolphin football team" despite his saying "I'm out" after Miami's loss to the Jets in Week 18, Eric Edholm of NFL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Rosenhaus said Hill "had an excellent meeting with [general manager] Chris Grier and [head coach] Mike McDaniel," after he appeared to remove himself from the Dolphins' regular-season finale early, playing just 40 percent of offensive snaps. Across 17 regular-season games in 2024, Hill compiled just a 81-959-6 receiving line on 123 targets, his first time failing to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark since 2019. He remains under contract with Miami through the 2026 campaign, but after saying "it was great playing here but at the end of the day, I have to do what's best for my career" following the team's loss to New York, it seems clear that Hill is open to, if not actively looking for, a change of scenery. Rosenhaus' comments may simply be an effort to make a potential offseason trade more achievable for the Dolphins.

Last game playing for Dolphins?
Hill (wrist/illness) caught two of three targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 32-30 loss to the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Hill finished the regular season on a sour note after Week 18's dismal output had the star receiver falling just short of the 1,000-yard mark in receiving yards for the first time since an injury-shortened 2019 season. The 30-year-old was truly questionable heading into this game after nursing both an elbow injury and an illness while missing all of the team's practices leading up to Sunday's defeat. After the game, Hill had delivered melancholy news when regarding his future in Miami, stating "I'm out, bruh. It was great playing here but at the end of the day, I have to do what's best for my career." according to ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques. It's an interesting statement from the perennial All-Pro considering that his current contract runs through the 2026 season. That being said, the Dolphins could use the talented Hill as a big trade piece this offseason if the front office decides to honor the receiver's post-game wishes.
Jan 5, 2025
Active for Sunday's game
Hill (wrist/illness) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Hill, who has been managing a wrist issue, was sidelined for Friday's practice due to an illness, before being deemed questionable for Sunday's contest. With his active status confirmed for Miami's must-win regular-season finale, Hill will have a chance to maintain the chemistry that he built with QB Tyler Huntley (who is starting once again in place of Tua Tagovailoa/hip) during the team's Week 17 win over the Browns, when he caught all nine of his targets for 105 yards.
Jan 3, 2025
Questionable after Friday's DNP
Hill (wrist/illness) didn't practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill has been no stranger to the injury report in the second half of the season, though it's a bit worrisome that he was unable to practice at all just one day after being a full participant Thursday. The star wide receiver will do all he can to play Sunday, since the Dolphins can make the playoffs with a win and a Denver loss to Kansas City. Tua Tagovailoa (hip) is doubtful, but Hill showed good chemistry with backup quarterback Tyler Huntley in the Week 17 win over the Browns, as they connected for nine catches and 105 yards.
Jan 2, 2025
Logs full practice Thursday
Hill (wrist/rest) practiced fully Thursday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill -- who continues to manage a wrist issue -- was listed as a limited participant at practice Wednesday, but the wideout's full participation Thursday paves the way for him to be available for Sunday's regular-season finale (a must-win game for Miami) against the Jets. While fellow starting wideout Jaylen Waddle (knee, limited Thursday) may return from a two-game absence this weekend, at this stage it looks like Hill will be catching passes from Tyler Huntley, who's trending toward a second consecutive start at QB in place of Tua Tagovailoa (hip).
Jan 1, 2025
Limited practice Wednesday
Hill (wrist/rest) was limited at practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
As was fellow wideout Jaylen Waddle (knee), who has missed the Dolphins' last two games. However, in the case of Hill, Wednesday's limitations were presumably maintenance-related, as he continues to manage a wrist issue. Hill and Waddle now have two more chances to practice fully ahead of Sunday's regular-season finale against the Jets.
Dec 29, 2024
Efficient route to century mark
Hill (wrist) corralled all nine of his targets for 105 yards in Sunday's 20-3 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Hill showed now ill effects from his lingering wrist injury en route to his third game recording 100 or more receiving yards in Sunday's casual victory. The speed demon used his sure hands to nick and cut the opposition to a strong fantasy line on his most-efficient showing to date in 2024. With his wrist issue in the rear-view mirror, Hill will be geared up for a crucial regular-season finale against the Jets next Sunday as Miami fights for its playoff life.
Dec 29, 2024
Active versus Browns
Hill (wrist) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Hill was listed as limited on all three of Miami's practice reports this week, before heading into the weekend with a 'questionable' designation. He'll be available Sunday, unlike fellow starting wideout Jaylen Waddle (knee), but with Tyler Huntley on track to start at QB for Miami in place of Tua Tagovailoa (hip), expectations should be tempered for Hill and the team's other available key pass catchers.
Dec 29, 2024
Likely to play in Week 17
Hill (wrist), who is questionable for Sunday's matchup against Cleveland, is expected to suit up, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The wrist issue is a lingering injury for Hill, but he's yet to miss a game because of it, and it appears the star wideout will be on the field for Miami again Sunday. However, his outlook is hazy in part due to the expected absence of Tua Tagovailoa, who is officially doubtful to play due to a hip issue. Rapoport notes that No. 2 wideout Jaylen Waddle (knee) isn't likely to suit up either, which could lead to the Browns focusing more of their attention on Hill. If things go the way they seem to be trending, the Dolphins' passing attack Sunday will consist of Tyler Huntley at quarterback, with Hill and Malik Washington leading the team's wideout corps and tight end Jonnu Smith playing a significant role as well.
Dec 27, 2024
Questionable after limited practice
Hill (wrist) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns.
ANALYSIS
It would be surprising if Hill doesn't suit up, as he has been playing through this wrist injury for weeks. He was limited in all three of Miami's practices during the week, with rest provided as a secondary reason for his limitations alongside the wrist injury. Hill made a concerted effort to participate in every practice to work on his rhythm with Tua Tagovailoa after Hill attributed his recent problems with drops to a preponderance of veteran rest days in practice. Tagovailoa's listed as questionable due to a hip injury, but the quarterback's also unlikely to sit out since the Dolphins are still mathematically in playoff contention.
Dec 26, 2024
Limited session Thursday
Hill (wrist/rest) was limited at practice Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill -- who has been managing a wrist injury -- was also listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, but the wideout could be cleared for Sunday's game against the Browns as soon as Friday. Meanwhile, fellow starter Jaylen Waddle (knee), who was inactive in Week 16, returned to a limited practice Thursday, so it's possible that the Dolphins will have both players players available for Week 17 action.
Dec 25, 2024
Limited on practice estimate
Hill (wrist/rest) was listed as limited on Wednesday's practice estimate, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill also logged a limited listing this past Friday before approaching Sunday's win over the 49ers with a 'questionable' designation. Unlike fellow WR Jaylen Waddle (knee), Hill was active for the contest and ended up recording an 84 percent snap share, while catching three of his seven targets for 29 yards and a touchdown. With no reported setbacks, we suspect that Hill's listed limitations Wednesday were maintenance-related.
Dec 22, 2024
Catches Tua's only TD pass
Hill (wrist/personal) had three receptions on seven targets for 29 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 29-17 win over the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Hill was a limited participant in practice this week while tending to a personal issue in addition to a bum wrist. The speedy wideout overcame both road blocks in order to suit up for a Dolphins squad that was without the services of Jaylen Waddle (knee) on Sunday. Hill didn't post the kind of volume managers may have expected with his running mate sidelined to injury, but he salvaged his performance by catching Miami's only passing touchdown on the day. With 834 receiving yards and just two games remaining on the schedule, Hill is in danger of failing to reach 1,000 receiving yards for the first time since an injury-shortened season back in 2019.
Dec 22, 2024
Active versus 49ers
Hill (wrist/personal) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Hill, who continues to manage a wrist injury, didn't practice Wednesday, worked fully Thursday, and then finished the week with a limited listing Friday before heading into the weekend carrying a 'questionable' designation. With fellow starting WR Jaylen Waddle (knee) inactive, Hill should be busy Sunday, barring any in-game setbacks. Meanwhile, Malik Washington figures to see an expanded role in Waddle's absence, with River Cracraft and Erik Ezukanma rounding out Miami's Week 16 wide receiver corps.
Dec 21, 2024
Likely to play Sunday
Hill (wrist) is expected to play Sunday versus the 49ers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill is dealing with a wrist injury that kept him sidelined during practice Wednesday. He logged a full session Thursday before being listed as limited on Friday's injury report, leading to a questionable game status for Week 16. Hill's definitive availability will be revealed 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. With Jaylen Waddle (knee) considered doubtful to play, it's likely that Hill, Malik Washington and River Cracraft will line up as Miami's starting wideouts while tight end Jonnu Smith continues to feature heavily into the passing game.
Dec 20, 2024
Listed as questionable for Sunday
Hill (wrist/personal) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers after logging a limited practice Friday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill, who didn't practice Wednesday, worked fully Thursday, but following Friday's limited listing and corresponding Week 16 game status, the wideout's availability now is worth monitoring closely as Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff approaches. With fellow wideout Jaylen Waddle (knee) doubtful for the contest, Malik Washington and River Cracraft are the healthiest options Miami currently rosters at the position.
Dec 19, 2024
Returns to full practice
Hill (wrist/rest) was a full practice participant Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill has been playing through the same wrist injury for most of the season without missing a game. He caught just two of seven targets for 36 yards in a 20-12 loss to Houston last week, after briefly flashing his 2022-23 level of production Weeks 13 and 14 (16 catches for 198 yards and two TDs). The real question for Miami at wide receiver is Jaylen Waddle, who suffered a knee injury Sunday and hasn't practiced since.
Dec 18, 2024
Sits out Wednesday's practice
Hill (wrist/rest) didn't practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill has been managing a wrist issue of late, but the fact that the Dolphins also cited 'rest' as a reason for the wideout's listed non-participation Wednesday suggests that Hill's practice reps are simply being managed as Sunday's game against the 49ers approaches. As long as he practices fully by Friday, Hill should head into the weekend without a Week 16 injury designation.
Dec 15, 2024
Limited to two receptions Sunday
Hill brought in two of seven targets for 36 yards in the Dolphins' 20-12 loss to the Texans on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill was unable to take advantage of the fact Jaylen Waddle exited the game with a knee injury in the first half and didn't return, finishing with his lowest catch and yardage totals since Week 7 and 10, respectively. Hill's target total was also his sparsest since the latter contest, and he saw a two-game touchdown streak come to an end. The veteran speedster was also the intended target down the right sideline on Tua Tagovailoa's game-sealing interception, a fitting ending to a disappointing afternoon. Hill's first opportunity to bounce back comes in a Week 16 home matchup against the 49ers.
Dec 12, 2024
Turns in full practice
Hill (wrist) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Hill's practice reps were capped Wednesday, but he was likely just limited for maintenance purposes while he manages a lingering wrist issue. The injury won't affect his availability for Sunday's game in Houston and shouldn't affect his playing time either, as Hill has logged at least three-quarters of the Dolphins' offensive snaps in all eight games since a Week 6 bye.
Dec 11, 2024
Logs limited practice
Hill (wrist) was limited at practice Wednesday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The same applies to fellow WR Jaylen Waddle, who was limited by a hamstring injury. Hill -- who continues to manage a wrist issue -- logged a 97 percent snap share in this past Sunday's 32-26 overtime win over the Jets, and with no reported setbacks, his listed limitations Wednesday are presumably maintenance-related.
Dec 8, 2024
Burns Jets for 115 rec yards, TD
Hill caught 10 of 14 targets for 115 yards and a touchdown while rushing once for six yards in Sunday's 32-26 overtime win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Hill and Jaylen Waddle posted identical first-half stat lines of five catches for 61 yards, and they ultimately accounted for 214 of Tua Tagovailoa's 331 passing yards as the Dolphins capitalized on the absence of star Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner (hamstring). Hill's four-yard touchdown catch followed by a two-point conversion to Waddle helped Miami tie the game 23-23 with 9:04 to play in regulation. Despite playing through a wrist injury in recent weeks, Hill has been heating up. The speedster has scored in four of the past five games, and Hill has topped 80 receiving yards in each of his last two outings ahead of a Week 15 road game against the Texans after reaching that mark only twice through Week 12.
Dec 6, 2024
Set for Week 14 action
Hill (wrist/rest) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game versus the Jets, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill slowly but surely increased his activity level this week, going from no participation Wednesday to a capped session Thursday before ending it with a full practice. He thus is set to continue to serve as one of the top wide receivers for the Dolphins and QB Tua Tagovailoa, which has seen Hill score a TD in three of the last four games while putting together a 21-208-3 line on 27 targets during that span.
Dec 5, 2024
Puts in limited practice
Hill (wrist/rest) was a limited practice participant Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
After sitting out Wednesday's session entirely, Hill took a step forward in terms of activity Thursday. Hill has been managing a wrist injury for several weeks, but his lack of full participation in practice so far this week is likely more maintenance-based than the result of an injury-related setback. So long as he continues to practice in some fashion Friday, Hill should be in good shape to handle a full snap load in this Sunday's game against the Jets.
Dec 5, 2024
Retakes practice field
Hill (wrist) is participating in Thursday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill sat out Wednesday's practice due to a combination of rest and his lingering wrist injury, as has been relatively standard protocol for the speedy wideout since early November. As long as he continues to practice Friday, fantasy managers can feel confident that Hill will continue to play through his wrist issue Sunday versus the Jets. Hill is coming off his best game in recent memory, having recorded a 6-83-1 receiving line on nine targets during Miami's loss to the Packers in Week 13.
Dec 4, 2024
Sits out Wednesday's practice
Hill was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's practice due to a combination of rest and a wrist issue.
ANALYSIS
Hill continues to manage a wrist issue that he's been playing through, so his non-participation in Wednesday's session is most likely maintenance-related. In Miami's 30-17 loss to the Packers on Thanksgiving, Hill logged an 80 percent snap share en route to catching six of his nine targets for 83 yards and a touchdown.
Nov 29, 2024
Grabs fluky TD in loss
Hill brought in six of nine targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 30-17 loss to the Packers on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Hill finished second in receiving yards and tied for second in targets for the Dolphins on the night, but the highlight of his performance was a 12-yard touchdown grab off a deflection with just over three minutes remaining in the contest. It was only Hill's fourth TD reception of the season, while his yardage tally was his highest since Week 1. Hill's production has been on an upswing from a PPR perspective since Tua Tagovailoa returned from his stint on injured reserve, but the fleet-footed receiver will look to get back over the century mark for the first time in three months when Miami hosts the Jets in a Week 14 clash on Sunday, Dec. 8.
Nov 27, 2024
Cleared to play
Hill (wrist/personal) doesn't have an injury designation for Thursday's game at Green Bay, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
The Dolphins, who listed Hill as a limited participant Monday, non-participant Tuesday and then full participant in Wednesday's walk-through, originally put in him on the injury report for a lingering wrist injury (before a personal matter held him out Tuesday). Hill's quick return to practice suggests he'll be ready for his usual role Thursday night, facing a tough Green Bay defense after recording just 48 yards (five catches on six targets) in a win over the Patriots on Sunday.
Nov 26, 2024
DNP due to personal matter
Hill (personal) didn't participate in practice Tuesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill was listed as limited due to his wrist injury Wednesday, but the team added him to the injury report Tuesday with the personal issue. The Dolphins face the Packers in Green Bay on Thursday night. If Hill is unable to play, Odell Beckham and Malik Washington would be in line for increased work behind Jaylen Waddle.
Nov 25, 2024
Estimated as limited Monday
Hill (wrist) was estimated as a limited participant on Monday's practice report, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill has been dealing with the wrist issue for weeks and has played through it. Thursday against Green Bay should be no different. The star wideout hasn't topped 80 yards in a game since Week 1 and has just three touchdowns on the season.
Nov 24, 2024
Contained again in win
Hill brought in five of six targets for 48 yards in the Dolphins' 34-15 win over the Patriots on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill played a clear second fiddle to the somewhat unlikely duo of Jaylen Waddle and Jonnu Smith, who accounted for 17 of Tua Tagovailoa's completions, 231 of his yards and half of his four touchdown passes on the afternoon. Hill was a distant third in receptions, receiving yards and targets to both of his fellow pass catchers, and he's now mired in a 10-game streak of failing to clear 80 receiving yards heading into a Week 13 road showdown against the Packers on Thanksgiving Night this Thursday.
Nov 21, 2024
Churns out full practice
Hill (wrist) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill was a limited participant Wednesday, but his ability to take every rep a day later suggests that his lingering wrist issue won't prevent him from playing this Sunday against the Patriots. In the Dolphins' first matchup of the season with the Patriots back in Week 5, Hill produced a 6-69-0 receiving line on 10 targets, though he was working with Tyler Huntley (shoulder) as his quarterback in that contest rather than Tua Tagovailoa.
Nov 20, 2024
Listed as limited Wednesday
Hill (wrist) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's walk-through, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill has been managing a wrist issue of late, and with no reported setbacks in Miami's Week 11 win over the Raiders -- a game in which the wideout logged a 76 percent snap share -- chances are, his listed limitations Wednesday are indicative of workload management. As long as Hill practices fully by Friday, he should approach Sunday's game against the Patriots without an injury designation.
Nov 17, 2024
Another touchdown grab in win
Hill secured seven of eight targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 34-19 win over the Raiders on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill set the pace for the Dolphins in receptions and tied with Jonnu Smith for the team lead in targets, scoring a touchdown on an eight-yard grab with just over four minutes remaining in the third quarter as well. Hill has eclipsed 60 receiving yards in three of Tua Tagovailoa's first four games back from an IR stint due to a concussion, but the veteran speedster is still in search of his first 100-yard game since Week 1 as the Dolphins prepare to face off with the Patriots at home in Week 12.
Nov 15, 2024
Cleared to play Sunday
Hill (wrist) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Raiders after practicing fully Friday.
ANALYSIS
After being deemed a non-participant in Wednesday's walkthrough, Hill was limited Thursday before being able to cap his practice week with a full session. The Dolphins' starting wideout is thus slated to continue to play through his wrist issue, just as he did in Monday night's 23-15 win over the Rams, when he logged an 87 percent snap share en route to catching three of his four targets for 16 yards and a touchdown and rushing twice for 11 yards.
Nov 14, 2024
Returns to limited practice
Hill (wrist) was limited at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
After being listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's walk-through session, Hill's return to practice a day later -- albeit in a limited fashion -- puts him in a position to continue to play through his wrist issue Sunday against the Raiders. Friday's injury report will reveal whether Hill heads into the weekend with a Week 11 injury designation or fully cleared to face Las Vegas.
Nov 14, 2024
Spotted at practice Thursday
Hill (wrist) was present for Thursday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill was deemed a non-participant in Wednesday's walkthrough, but his presence for Thursday's session suggests that the wideout's listed DNP was likely related to workload management as opposed to a setback with the wrist injury he's been playing through. The Dolphins' upcoming injury report will provide further context regarding Hill's Week 11 status by clarifying his level of participation.
Nov 13, 2024
Misses Wednesday's practice
Hill (wrist) didn't practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill, who approached Monday's win over the Rams listed as questionable after missing practice Friday and Saturday, ended up suiting up for the contest en route to logging an 87 percent snap share. With no reported setbacks related to his wrist issue, which the wideout told ESPN's Lisa Salters on Monday was a torn ligament that he's been playing through, we suspect that Hill's listed 'DNP' on Wednesday is maintenance-related. Look for added context regarding his Week 11 status to arrive once the Dolphins return to practice Thursday.
Nov 11, 2024
Logs five touches in win
Hill secured three of four targets for 16 yards and a touchdown and rushed twice for 11 yards in the Dolphins' 23-15 win over the Rams on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Hill was a game-time decision due to a wrist injury, and although he was able to garner active status, he posted his second-lowest yardage total of the season and worst with Tua Tagovailoa as his starting quarterback. While the production was a notable drop-off from the 10-152 line he'd posted on 14 targets over the quarterback's first two games back from a concussion, Hill was able to prop up his fantasy night with a one-yard touchdown grab with 5:32 remaining in the third quarter, his first score since Week 1. Hill next takes aim at the vulnerable Raiders secondary in a Week 11 home matchup Sunday.
Nov 11, 2024
Active versus Rams
Hill (wrist) is listed as active for Monday night's game against the Rams.
ANALYSIS
After practicing fully Thursday, Hill was listed as a non-participant Friday and Saturday before being deemed questionable for Monday's contest. With his active status versus Los Angeles confirmed, Hill will have an opportunity to maintain his standing as a focal point of Miami's offense in the absence of any significant restrictions or setbacks related to his wrist issue, which the wideout told ESPN's Lisa Salters is a ligament tear that he's been working through. In eight games to date, Hill has caught 34 of his team-high 56 targets for 446 yards and a TD, a rate of production down from his 2023 pace, but with QB Tua Tagovailoa back as Miami's starting QB, Hill's fantasy prospects going forward figure to be bolstered, provided his workload isn't impacted too much by the injury he's managing.
Nov 11, 2024
Slated to play Monday
Hill (wrist) is in line to be active Monday night against the Rams, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill was listed as questionable for the contest after not practicing Friday or Saturday, but Pelissero notes that the wideout's pre-game workout went well and he's now slated to face the Rams. Official confirmation of Hill's Week 10 status is set to arrive when Miami's inactives are posted ahead of Monday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.
Nov 10, 2024
Looks like game-time call for Week 10
Hill (wrist) is listed as questionable and appears to be a game-time decision for Monday's matchup with the Rams, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill received a designation for the Week 10 contest after he was listed as a non-participant in practices Friday and Saturday. Though Hill first injured the wrist in training camp and has been playing through the issue over the Dolphins' first eight games of the season, he reportedly tweaked the wrist again this week. Pelissero notes that Hill traveled with the Dolphins to Los Angeles in advance of Monday's contest, but the team may wait and see how he's feeling during pregame warmups before making a call on his status. With Monday's contest marking the last game of the Week 10 slate, fantasy managers could find themselves with no alternatives in the event that Hill's wrist injury results in him being inactive against the Rams.
Nov 9, 2024
Another DNP, questionable for Monday
Hill (wrist) is listed as questionable for Monday's matchup against the Rams after logging a second straight DNP, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters earlier Saturday that Hill "will do everything possible to play. But we'll see. I wouldn't say I'm optimistic or pessimistic." The coach speak non answer feels important considering Hill did not practice for a second consecutive day, but expect the Dolphins to reveal more information regarding the speedy wide receiver's status before Monday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.
Nov 8, 2024
Added to injury report
Hill didn't practice Friday due to a wrist injury, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill practiced fully Thursday, so his addition to the Dolphins' Week 10 injury report is noteworthy. Look for added context regarding his status for Monday night's game against the Rams to arrive no later than Saturday afternoon once Miami's final injury report of the week is posted. In the team's Week 9 loss to the Bills, Hill caught four of his five targets for 80 yards, while recording a 97 percent snap share.
Nov 3, 2024
Team-high 80 receiving yards
Hill caught four of five targets for 80 yards in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Hill had just one catch for six yards in the first half but wound up leading the Dolphins with 80 receiving yards. He got 55 of those yards in the third quarter, when Hill made a nice 28-yard catch along the sideline to set up a go-ahead field goal and added a 27-yard catch over the middle. Hill had at least 82 receiving yards in 11 of 16 appearances during his outstanding 2023 regular season, but he hasn't reached that threshold since a 130-yard receiving performance in Week 1. He also hasn't scored since the season opener, so Hill will be looking to end a seven-game touchdown drought when the Dolphins face the Rams on MNF in Week 10.
Nov 1, 2024
Ready for Week 9
Hill (rest/foot) practiced fully Friday and doesn't have a designation for Sunday's contest at Buffalo, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
After sitting out Wednesday's session for rest purposes, Hill was listed as limited on Thursday's injury report with his lingering foot issue. Logging a full practice to end Week 9 prep thus has paved the way for him to be available to the Dolphins offense. In Tua Tagovailoa's return to action this past Sunday against the Cardinals, Hill burst back onto the scene with six catches (on nine targets) for 72 yards.
Oct 31, 2024
Limited in Thursday's practice
Hill was listed as a limited participant in Thursday's practice due to a foot injury, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
On the Dolphins' first Week 9 injury report issued Wednesday, Hill's absence from practice was attributed to rest, but a day later, the team is citing a lingering foot injury as the reason behind the wideout's reps being capped. Assuming Hill's limitations Thursday were maintenance-related and not the result of him aggravating the lingering foot issue during practice, he should be fine to handle a full snap load in this Sunday's game in Buffalo. However, whether or not Hill carries a designation into that contest may hinge on what he's able to do at Friday's practice.
Oct 30, 2024
Rested Wednesday
Hill was rested during Wednesday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill approached this past Sunday's 28-27 loss to the Cardinals as questionable after not practicing Friday due to a foot issue. The wideout then suited up for the contest and was on the field for 88 percent of Miami's snaps on offense, while catching six of his nine targets for 72 yards. With no injury listed on Wednesday's practice report, Hill is slated to face the Bills on Sunday in QB Tua Tagovailoa's second start since returning from a concussion that landed him on IR.
Oct 27, 2024
Six catches in Tua's return
Hill (foot) caught six of nine targets for 72 yards in Sunday's 28-27 loss to the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Hill's 69 first-half receiving yards matched his highest full-game total during the four games Tua Tagovailoa missed due to a concussion. After starting hot with Tagovailoa back in tow, Hill added only three yards in the second half, likely due in part to the effects of a foot injury that had the speedster listed as questionable heading into Sunday's loss. Hill led the NFL with 1,799 receiving yards last season, but Tua's return seems unlikely to precipitate that level of production from Hill in 2024. Miami's passing game will look to pick things up in Week 9 against the Bills, who held Hill to 24 receiving yards in Week 2.
Oct 27, 2024
Ready to play Sunday
Hill (foot) is active for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
A late-week addition to the Dolphins' injury report, Hill was a limited participant at practices Thursday, then sat out Friday's session entirely. Despite carrying a questionable tag into the weekend, Hill didn't seem to be at any major risk of sitting out against Arizona, as head coach Mike McDaniel said Friday that he was optimistic the star wideout would be ready to play Sunday. As expected, Hill has now been officially cleared to play and should see a big boost in his fantasy prospects with the return of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion), who will start after returning to practice this week and being activated from injured reserve. During Tagovailoa's four-game absence, Hill averaged just 3.5 catches and 41.0 yards from scrimmage per contest and failed to score a touchdown while he was on the receiving end of substandard quarterback play from the likes of Skylar Thompson, Tyler Huntley (shoulder) and Tim Boyle.
Oct 26, 2024
In line to suit up Sunday
Hill (foot) is expected to play in Sunday's Week 8 game against Arizona, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill has dealt with a foot injury throughout the week and did not practice Friday after logging a limited session Thursday. Despite the end-of-week reduction in participation, it appears the wideout will be able to play against the Cardinals on Sunday. Hill sunk to a season-low one catch for eight yards last week against the Colts, but his outlook is much improved with Sunday's return of QB Tua Tagovailoa, who missed Weeks 3-7 while recovering from a concussion.
Oct 25, 2024
Listed as questionable
Hill (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals not practicing Friday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill was added to the Dolphins' Week 8 injury report after being limited at practice Thursday, and then was held out of Friday's session prior to being deemed questionable for Sunday's 1:00 ET contest. That said, head coach Mike McDaniel noted earlier in the day that he's optimistic Hill will play this weekend, and if he does, the wideout's fantasy prospects should be boosted by the looming return of starting QB Tua Tagovailoa (concussion).
Oct 25, 2024
Not spotted at start of practice
Hill (foot) wasn't spotted during the initial portion of Friday's practice, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill was added to Miami's Week 8 injury report after being limited at practice Thursday due a foot issue. His absence from the early stage of Friday's session is notable, but may be precautionary, with head coach Mike McDaniel having previously noted that he was very optimistic that Hill and Jaylen Waddle (quad) would both be available Sunday against the Cardinals.
Oct 24, 2024
Added to injury report
Hill (foot) was limited at practice Thursday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill worked fully Wednesday, so his addition to Miami's injury report a day later is notable. Meanwhile, fellow WR Jaylen Waddle (quad) was also limited Thursday, which sets the stage for Friday's injury report to loom large in terms of the duo's availability for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. If Hill is able to face Arizona this weekend, his fantasy prospects could be boosted by the potential return to action of top QB Tua Tagovailoa (concussion).
Oct 20, 2024
Nearly invisible in Week 7 loss
Hill caught one of two targets for eight yards and gained five rushing yards on one carry in Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Neither Tyler Huntley (shoulder) nor Tim Boyle has any success looking for their wide receivers on the afternoon, giving Hill few opportunities to make an impact. The speedster has topped 1,700 receiving yards in each of the last two seasons, the first player in NFL history to do so, but the Dolphins' QB woes have eliminated any chance of a repeat for Hill. Tua Tagoviloa (concussion) will be eligible to return from IR in Week 8 against the Cardinals, but if he isn't cleared for game action, it seems to make little difference to Hill whether Huntley, Boyle or Skylar Thompson (ribs) is under center.
Oct 6, 2024
Paces pass catchers in win
Hill secured six of nine targets for 69 yards in the Dolphins' 15-10 win over the Patriots on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill led the Dolphins in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the afternoon, demonstrating improved chemistry with Tyler Huntley in his second game playing with the quarterback. The three components of the speedster's receiving line all qualified as his second-highest totals of the season, and Hill also narrowly missed recording his second touchdown of campaign on a catch in the left corner of the end zone where he just missed coming down with two feet inbounds. Hill is likely to work with Huntley for at least one more game when the Dolphins face the Colts on the road on Sunday, Oct. 20 following a Week 6 bye.
Sep 30, 2024
Limited to 42 total yards in loss
Hill secured four of seven targets for 23 yards and rushed three times for 19 yards in the Dolphins' 31-12 loss to the Titans on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Hill's numbers unsurprisingly continued to be significantly compromised by the Dolphins' tenuous quarterback situation, as Tyler Huntley wasn't able to deliver any more of a competent performance than Week 3 predecessor Skylar Thompson (ribs). With the Dolphins' backfield particularly short-handed due to Jeff Wilson's pregame knee injury and Raheem Mostert's inactive status, Hill also did some moonlighting in the ground attack with a season-high three carries. The elite wideout, who did wipe out a 22-yard reception with his own illegal shift penalty in the fourth quarter, figures to continue having trouble coming close to maximizing his talents in a Week 5 road matchup against the Patriots -- either Huntley or Thompson figure to serve as his quarterback for that contest, and New England does have a pair of talented cornerbacks in Jonathan Jones and Christian Gonzalez.

Victim of QB play in loss
Hill brought in three of five targets for 40 yards in the Dolphins' 24-3 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill set the pace in receiving yards and tied for the team lead in targets as well, but both were essentially hollow achievements in the ragged loss. Hill's production was already likely to be compromised with Skylar Thompson opening the game under center in place of Tua Tagovailoa (IR-concussion), but matters only got worse once journeyman Tim Boyle was forced to replace Thompson in the second half due to the latter's chest injury. The speedy receiver is essentially in limbo for the time being with the state of the team's quarterback position, leaving his fantasy prospects for a Week 4 Monday night home matchup against the Titans decidedly murky.
Sep 12, 2024
Big downturn in loss
Hill secured three of six targets for 24 yards and rushed once for 12 yards in the Dolphins' 31-10 loss to the Bills on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Four days after a tumultuous but ultimately successful first Sunday of the regular season, Hill and the entire Dolphins offense saw a drastic downturn Thursday. Hill was saddled by generally ineffective play on the part of Tua Tagovailoa, who tossed two first-half interceptions and a pick-six early in the third quarter, and then exited the game late in the third quarter with a concussion. Hill and Jaylen Waddle both took an early seat in the fourth quarter and neither saw a target after Skylar Thompson replaced Tagovailoa, but there will be ample time to build chemistry ahead of a Week 3 road matchup against the Seahawks on Sept. 22 that Tagovailoa may not be available for.

Receives two citations
Hill has received two citations, careless driving and a seatbelt violation, due to Sunday incident in which he was detained by police outside of Hard Rock Stadium prior to Miami's 20-17 win over the Jaguars, Jeff Darlington of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill's citations don't figure to result in any further ramifications, leaving Miami's No. 1 wideout in the clear to suit up for a key Week 2 divisional matchup against the Bills on Thursday Night Football. Kevin Dotson of CNN.com reports that the Miami-Dade Police Department placed an officer on administrative leave and has begun an internal investigation related to Sunday's incident. Hill secured seven of 12 targets for 130 yards and a score during Miami's regular-season opener, in a game that also saw Jaylen Waddle pass the 100-yard mark. This Dolphins offense remains willing to funnel the passing game through Hill and Waddle, though it was encouraging to see explosive RB De'Von Achane provide another complement in the receiving game Week 1.
Sep 8, 2024
Vaults century mark in comeback win
Hill brought in seven of 12 targets for 130 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 20-17 win over the Jaguars on Sunday. He also returned one punt for 11 yards.
ANALYSIS
A day that began in less than ideal fashion for Hill due to a pregame incident where he was briefly detailed by local police during a traffic stop culminated in a signature performance for the fleet-footed star. Hill led the Dolphins in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the afternoon, a familiar distinction. He also secured his first touchdown of the season on an 80-yard grab late in the third quarter to bring Miami within 17-14 at the time. There aren't expected to be any further legal ramifications for Hill stemming from the police encounter, so he should be available without restrictions again in four days when the Dolphins have an early-season showdown with the division-rival Bills on Thursday night.
Sep 8, 2024
Cleared to play Week 1
Hill is active for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Earlier Sunday, the Dolphins announced that Hill was pulled over in his vehicle about one block from Hard Rock Stadium and briefly detained by police before being released. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Hill was cited for reckless driving, but the incident won't prevent the star wideout from suiting up in the Dolphins' season opener. Hill also contended with a thumb injury for much of the second half of August, but that's not expected to be a concern either in Week 1 after he logged full practices Wednesday through Friday.
Sep 8, 2024
Detained by police, will play Sunday
Hill was detained by police for a driving violation outside of Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday, but his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said that the receiver will suit up and play in the Dolphins' season opener against the Jaguars, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
In a situation seemingly similar to that of professional golfer Scottie Scheffler during this year's PGA Championship, Hill was spotted in handcuffs outside of his home stadium, but it won't stop him from being available for the Week 1 matchup.
Sep 2, 2024
Declares full health
Hill (thumb) said Monday that he's "100 percent" healthy, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill returned to practice Monday after having been limited since mid-August due to a hand/thumb injury. It always looked like the Dolphins were simply taking a cautious approach to Hill's recovery, but it's encouraging to see the star wideout remove any ambiguity from the situation ahead of Week 1. Hill is locked in as a top tier fantasy option for Sunday's regular-season opener against the Jaguars, while teammate Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed), who also resumed practicing Monday, also seems on track to suit up without issue.
Sep 2, 2024
Practicing Monday
Coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Hill (thumb) and Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed) will both practice and "had no setbacks," Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill and Waddle have both had their practice reps capped in recent weeks, but it doesn't seem like the Dolphins have had any real doubts about having the star WR duo available for Week 1. A right thumb injury has lingered for Hill since mid-August, so Miami may have simply been taking a cautious approach to his recovery, with catching ability in mind. At the latest, Wednesday's first official practice report of the season will reveal whether Hill and Waddle still carry injury designations as Sunday's opener against the Jaguars approaches.
Aug 29, 2024
Still sidelined
Hill (thumb) remains a non-participant at practice Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
The Dolphins seem to simply be taking a cautious approach to Hill's recovery, but there will be cause for worry if he's still being held out next week, when the team's first official injury reports of the regular season are released. Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed) is wearing a non-contact jersey Thursday, but the team has also downplayed his injury severity. In all likelihood, Miami is simply opting to not take any chances with either star wideout, especially given that key depth options Odell Beckham (undisclosed) and River Cracraft (upper body) are starting the year on reserve lists and ruled out for at least four games. Hill and Waddle will look to resume handling full reps before taking on the Jaguars in Week 1 on Sunday, Sept. 8.
Aug 21, 2024
Not practicing
Coach Mike McDaniel said Hill (hand) will be held out of team drills Wednesday to avoid risk of further injury, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
McDaniel said Hill could participate fully if needed, but there's no point of rushing things with Miami's regular-season opener 18 days away (Sept. 8 against Jacksonville). Hill had a brace on his right hand at Tuesday's practice and didn't catch any passes.
Aug 20, 2024
Wearing hand brace
Hill (hand) did not catch any passes at Tuesday's practice and was spotted wearing a brace on his right hand, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill appears to be dealing with a minor injury, though as Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald notes, if the star wide receiver were dealing with anything serious he likely wouldn't have participated in individual drills Tuesday. The Dolphins may simply be taking a cautious approach to Hill's health, given that Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed) and Odell Beckham (undisclosed) both remain sidelined while River Cracraft (undisclosed) is expected to miss significant time. Miami could extend a cautious approach to Friday's preseason finale against the Buccaneers and keep Hill off the field, if he's anything less than 100 percent.
Aug 17, 2024
Not present for warmups
Hill and Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed) aren't on the field for pregame warmups ahead of Saturday's preseason game against Washington, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Mike McDaniel suggested most starters would play, but Waddle is banged up and Hill a sensible exception. Few non-QBs are more important to their teams, and no player was targeted on a higher percentage of his routes in 2022 or 2023.
Aug 3, 2024
Restructures contract
Hill agreed with the Dolphins on Saturday on a restructured contract worth $90 million, including $65 million in guaranteed money, over the next three years, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The restructured contract doesn't add any additional years to Hill's tenure in Miami, but it does expand his guaranteed money over four years to $106.5 million, the most by a receiver in NFL history. The agreement comes on the heels of two huge seasons by Hill for the Dolphins, as he's averaged 119 catches for 1,755 yards and 10 touchdowns in the pair of regular-season campaigns since he joined the organization in 2022. Miami also worked out extensions for WR Jaylen Waddle and QB Tua Tagovailoa over the past few months, ensuring that the dynamic trio will stay together for the foreseeable future in a quest to lead the Dolphins to their first NFL title since 1974.
Jan 13, 2024
Relatively quiet in playoff loss
Hill secured five of eight targets for 62 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 26-7 wild-card loss to the Chiefs on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
Hill's much-ballyhooed return to Arrowhead Stadium did have one standout moment, a 53-yard touchdown reception early in the second quarter that served as the Dolphins 'first points of the night. However, the perennial Pro Bowler was otherwise impressively shut down by the Chiefs' secondary, netting just nine yards on his four other catches. Hill also spent some time on the sideline late in the fourth quarter, although there was no report of an injury. Despite the highly disappointing end to what once appeared to be a potential Super Bowl season for the Dolphins, Hill arguably profiled as the best receiver in the league while establishing new career highs in receiving yards (1,799) and targets (171), as well as tying the career-best 119 receptions he'd recorded in one additional game in 2022.
Jan 11, 2024
No designation in return to K.C.
Hill (ankle/quadricep) doesn't have an injury designation for Saturday's wild-card game against the Chiefs, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Though Hill was deemed a limited participant in practice throughout the week due to his two listed injuries, he's not expected to face any restrictions as he faces his former team for the second time this season. In the Dolphins' previous matchup with the Chiefs in Frankfurt, Germany in Week 9, Kansas City successfully contained Hill to eight catches for 62 yards on 10 targets. The Chiefs will have most of their key secondary players available in the rematch in Kansas City, and Hill will also have to deal with frigid projected gameday temperatures at Arrowhead Stadium that could stifle the passing game. On a positive note, Hill could have some of the attention drawn away from him if fellow starting receiver Jaylen Waddle -- who is listed as questionable after being a limited practice participant all week -- is able to make his return from a two-game absence due to a high-ankle sprain.
Jan 10, 2024
Another 'limited' listing
Hill (ankle/quad) was listed as limited in Wednesday's walk-through, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill was also listed as limited on Tuesday's practice estimate, but at this stage his status for Saturday's playoff opener against the Chiefs doesn't appear to be in question. With that in mind, Furones previously relayed that coach Mike McDaniel indicated Wednesday that he's not concerned about the quadriceps issue that Hill is listed as having on top of the ankle injury he's been managing of late. Either way, Thursday's injury report will reveal whether or not the wideout carries an injury designation into the weekend.
Jan 9, 2024
Listed as limited to begin week
Hill was listed as a limited participant on Tuesday's estimated practice report due to ankle and quadricep injuries, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill's practice participation in Week 18 was affected by a personal matter in addition to the lingering ankle issue, but he's apparently now tending to a quad injury as the Dolphins prepare for Saturday's wild-card matchup with the Chiefs. The fact that Hill was estimated as a limited participant rather than a non-participant to begin the week of practice seemingly bodes well for his chances of being cleared to play Saturday without any restrictions. In his first appearance against his former team back in Week 9, Hill caught eight of 10 targets for 62 yards and ran once for three yards in the Dolphins' 21-14 loss.
Jan 8, 2024
Leading receiver off 13 targets
Hill (ankle/personal) turned 13 targets into seven receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-14 loss to Buffalo.
ANALYSIS
Hill suited up for the Dolphins' final game of the regular season after dealing with both physical and personal issues during the practice week. The small-framed receiver with big speed did his thing on the field, dominating the targets sans Jaylen Waddle (ankle) en route to a strong fantasy performance. Hill wraps up another monster fantasy campaign with 119 receptions for a league-leading 1,799 receiving yards while finishing in a tie with Tampa Bay's Mike Evans with 13 receiving touchdowns over 16 games. Hill's 2023 campaign will continue in the wild-card round with a road matchup against the Chiefs next Saturday.
Jan 5, 2024
Good to go for Week 18
Hill (ankle/personal) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Bills, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill was limited in Wednesday's practice and didn't practice Thursday, but the lack of practice participation was likely due more to the fallout from learning of a fire at his residence than the ankle injury that he played through in the previous two games. He returned to full participation Friday to avoid a designation on Friday's injury report. Given Miami's struggles in the cold and against good teams, the Dolphins will be highly motivated to beat the Bills at Hard Rock Stadium and secure the No. 2 seed in the AFC, so Hill is likely to handle his usual heavy workload in the regular-season finale.
Jan 5, 2024
Expected to practice Friday
Hill (ankle/personal) is in line to practice Friday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill, who has been managing an ankle issue and tending to personal matters, didn't practice Thursday, but the wideout's looming return to the field Friday has him trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday night's game against the Bills. The Dolphins' upcoming injury report will reveal whether Hill approaches the contest with an injury designation or fully cleared for Week 18 action.
Jan 4, 2024
Not practicing Thursday
Hill (ankle/personal) wasn't spotted at Thursday's practice, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill, who has been managing an ankle issue, left Wednesday's practice early to tend to personal matters, and was deemed a limited participant on the Dolphins' subsequent injury report. With Hill absent from Thursday's session, what the star wideout is able to do Friday will provide key context with regard to his status ahead of Sunday night's game against the Bills.
Jan 3, 2024
Limited practice Wednesday
Hill (ankle/personal) was limited at practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
In addition to managing an ankle issue, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN relays that Hill left Wednesday's practice after he became aware that firefighters had been called to battle a fire at his home. Fortunately, nobody living at the home was harmed, per Louis-Jacques. Hill's next opportunity to practice ahead of Sunday night's game against the Bills will arrive Thursday.
Dec 31, 2023
Serviceable production in rout
Hill secured six of 12 targets for 76 yards and rushed once for no gain in the Dolphins' 56-19 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill led the Dolphins in receptions, receiving yards and targets across the board in the heavily lopsided loss, but he wasn't able to come close to maximizing the extra opportunity he was projected to see with Jaylen Waddle (ankle) sidelined. As the final score implies, game script was nowhere near normal for Miami, so the modest production, by Hill standards, can be taken in that context. Hill figures to be even more involved whether or not Waddle is available for the Week 18 home showdown against the Bills that will decide the AFC East.
Dec 29, 2023
Off Week 17 injury report
Hill (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Ravens after participating fully in practice Friday, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill missed one game due to an ankle injury but led the Dolphins with 99 receiving yards in his return last week. He isn't expected to have any limitations come Sunday, and Hill should see plenty of targets against the stout Ravens secondary in the absence of fellow wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (ankle).
Dec 28, 2023
Manages limited practice
Hill (ankle) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill's limited activity represented a step up from Wednesday, when he was listed as a non-participant on Miami's first Week 17 injury reports. Though Hill sat out the Dolphins' Week 15 win over the Jets due to the ankle injury, he showed no ill effects in his return to the lineup this past Sunday, finishing the Dolphins' 22-20 win over the Cowboys with nine catches for 99 yards on 14 targets. His lack of full participation so far in practice this week is likely just a case of maintenance, and Hill should be ready to serve as quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's (thumb/quadricep) top target in this weekend's game in Baltimore.
Dec 28, 2023
Back at practice Thursday
Hill (ankle/rest) is back at practice Thursday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill was held out of Wednesday's session for a 'veteran rest' day, and his return to practice Thursday effectively confirms he avoided any setbacks on his ankle during Miami's win over the Cowboys in Week 16. As such, even if Hill is listed as 'limited' at practice, fantasy managers can still consider him to be trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's crucial road matchup at Baltimore.
Dec 27, 2023
Held out of practice to rest
Hill (ankle/rest) didn't practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
The addition of 'veteran rest' next to Hill's name on the injury report essentially confirms he didn't suffer any setbacks with his sprained ankle during a 22-20 win over the Cowboys on Sunday. He missed the previous week's win over the Jets but then caught nine of 14 targets for 99 yards against Dallas in Week 16. Hill should be all set for his usual role Sunday against Baltimore, whereas running mate Jaylen Waddle (ankle) looks to be in danger of missing the crucial game.
Dec 24, 2023
Leading receiver in return
Hill (ankle) finished with nine receptions for 99 yards off of 14 targets in Sunday's 22-20 win over Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Hill returned from a one-game absence due to a minor ankle injury and resumed his role as Miami's top receiving option. The speed demon wound up leading the Dolphins in targets, receptions and receiving yards after fellow starter Jaylen Waddle left Sunday's contest on twice with eye and shin injuries respectively. If the latter is forced to miss any time, Hill would see his usual lofty target potential increase even further against the Ravens on Dec. 31.
Dec 24, 2023
Suits up Sunday
Hill (ankle) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Hill, who was inactive for Miami's 30-0 Week 15 win over the Jets, was deemed questionable for the contest after practicing in a limited fashion both Thursday and Friday. With the star wideout's active status confirmed, Hill is in line to step back into his high-volume role in the Dolphins' passing attack Sunday, in the absence of any in-game setbacks or limitations. In the 13 games he's played in this season, Hill has racked up 97 catches (on 132 targets) for a league-high 1,542 yards and 12 TDs.
Dec 23, 2023
Trending in positive direction
Hill (ankle) who is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Cowboys, is trending towards playing, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Schefter notes the Dolphins want to see how Hill feels Sunday as opposed to specifying how he'll feel following a pre-game workout, which lends some credence to the notion the superstar wideout would be available for the pivotal matchup. That Hill also participated in practice both Thursday and Friday certainly reinforces that notion, but fantasy managers should still check in on his status prior to the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.
Dec 22, 2023
Questionable for Week 16
Hill (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys after logging limited practices Thursday and Friday, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill, who was inactive for Miami's Week 15 win over the Jets, didn't practice Wednesday, but he's trending in the right direction after logging back-to-back back limited sessions to close the week. Per Wingfield, coach Mike McDaniel noted earlier Friday that Hill hasn't had any setbacks, while adding that he feels good about the star wideout's chances of being available for Sunday 4:25 ET kickoff.
Dec 21, 2023
Limited in return to practice
Hill (ankle) was a limited participant Thursday in his return to practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
The Dolphins listed Hill as questionable last week even though he didn't practice, and he ultimately missed a 30-0 win over the Jets. His return Thursday suggests he's got a much better shot to play this Sunday against the Cowboys, though it still seems more likely than not that Hill will be listed as questionable on the final injury report Friday.
Dec 21, 2023
Back at practice
Hill (ankle) returned to practice Thursday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill, who was inactive for the Dolphins' Week 15 win over the Jets, didn't practice Wednesday, but the star wideout's return to the field one day later has him trending toward a potential return to action Sunday against the Cowboys. Thursday's injury report is slated to reveal Hill's official participation level.
Dec 20, 2023
Not practicing but team optimistic
Hill (ankle) isn't practicing Wednesday, but coach Mike McDaniel downplayed the receiver's absence, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports. "It's more us trying to make sure that we have all cylinders go," McDaniel said.
ANALYSIS
Hill missed last week's 30-0 win over the Jets after aggravating his ankle injury in the preceding game, but he tested the ankle out in warmups, which suggests he was close to playing. McDaniel's comment suggests Hill could return to practice in the coming days as the Dolphins prepare to face the Cowboys on Sunday, but the star receiver's fantasy managers will continue to hold their breath until Hill's back on the field.
Dec 17, 2023
Won't play Sunday
Hill (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jets.
ANALYSIS
After finishing up this past week with three consecutive listed DNPs, Hill was deemed questionable for the contest, but after testing his ankle out during pre-game warmups, the star wideout will sit out Sunday's contest and target a potential return to action Dec. 24 against the Cowboys. In his absence, Jaylen Waddle and Cedrick Wilson are in line to lead the Dolphins' Week 15 WR corps, with Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft, Chase Claypool and Robbie Chosen candidates to see added opportunities versus the Jets.
Dec 16, 2023
Game-time decision incoming
The Dolphins intend to allow Hill (ankle) to decide on his availability for Sunday's game against the Jets, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Such a call won't be made until Hill goes through a pregame workout Sunday, after which Miami will post its list of inactives approximately 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. With 1,542 receiving yards on his 2023 ledger so far and four games remaining in the regular season, he's in sight of the first 2,000-yard campaign in NFL history, but he's also tending to an ankle injury that he sustained Monday against the Titans. Hill didn't practice during Week 15 prep, and coach Mike McDaniel told Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network on Friday that if Hill is "confident he can be himself, and I have the support of the trainers, he will play. If it's not, he won't." Hill thus is in line to be a game-time decision, with Jaylen Waddle set to serve as the Dolphins' No. 1 WR if the former can't play.
Dec 15, 2023
Questionable for Sunday
Hill (ankle) won't practice Friday and is slated to be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald and Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site report.
ANALYSIS
Hill will thus finish the week with three consecutive listed 'DNPs', which clouds the star wideout's Week 15 status. Per Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network, coach Mike McDaniel noted Friday with regard to Hill's potential availability that "if he's confident he can be himself and I have the support of the trainers, he will play. If it's not, he won't." Look for added context to arrive closer to game-time, but fortunately for those considering Hill in fantasy lineups this weekend, the Dolphins kick off at 1:00 ET on Sunday. If Hill is unavailable, fellow WRs Cedrick Wilson, Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft and Chase Claypool would be candidates to see added opportunities alongside Jaylen Waddle.
Dec 14, 2023
Sits out walk-through practice
Hill (ankle) was listed as a non-participant in Thursday's walk-through practice, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Following Monday's 28-27 loss to the Titans, the Dolphins have yet to hold an actual practice session this week, but the team's injury reports indicate that Hill would have been a spectator for both Wednesday and Thursday. The team will likely hold a more traditional practice Friday, so if Hill is able to mix into drills in some capacity, he would alleviate some of the concern about his availability for Sunday's game against the Jets. Even after playing less than half of the Dolphins' snaps on offense in both of the past two games, Hill is still the NFL's leading receiver by a comfortable margin, with his 1,542 receiving yards through 13 games ranked well ahead of the Eagles' A.J. Brown (1,258) for first place.
Dec 13, 2023
Opens week as non-participant
Hill (ankle) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report.
ANALYSIS
Hill sat out the Dolphins' opening practice in both of the past two weeks due the same injury, but those absences looked to be mainly for maintenance-related reasons. Though he's once again opening the week of practice as a non-participant, Hill's health appears to be more of a question mark heading into Sunday's game against the Jets after he struggled to move past the ankle issue during Monday's 28-27 loss to the Titans. After aggravating the injury in the first quarter, Hill missed the entire second quarter before returning to the game on the Dolphins' second possession in the third quarter. He ended up finishing with four catches for 61 yards on five targets while playing just 34 of 72 snaps (47 percent). The standout receiver's activity in practices the next two days will now bear watching to get a sense of his chances of playing Sunday.
Dec 12, 2023
Day-to-day, iffy for Week 15
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Tuesday that Hill (ankle) is considered day-to-day, and the receiver's availability for Sunday's game against the Jets has yet to be determined, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. "A little early to be that confident either way [for Week 15]," McDaniel said of Hill's status. "It was a painful ankle. Until he flat out tells me there's no doubt he's going to play, you always have to plan for everything."
ANALYSIS
Though mid-game visits to the locker room or the injury tent on the sideline haven't been out of the ordinary for Hill this season, the wideout struggled to bounce back from the ankle injury he suffered in the first quarter of Monday's 28-27 loss to the Titans. After sustaining the injury while being tackled as he was making his way out of bounds, Hill missed the entire second quarter before checking back into the game for the Dolphins' second drive of the third quarter. Hill ended the night having played just 34 of the Dolphins' 72 snaps on offense and finished with four catches for 61 yards on five targets. With a six-day turnaround before the Week 15 game against the Jets, Hill will most likely have his practice reps managed to some degree, though that won't necessarily prevent him from playing Sunday if his ankle shows improvement as the week rolls along.
Dec 12, 2023
Will get scans on ankle injury
Hill (ankle) caught four of five targets for 61 yards in Monday's 28-27 loss to the Titans. He was in and out of the game due to an ankle injury and said after the loss that he'll get scans on the injury but is hoping to avoid missing additional game action, Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill hurt his ankle in the first quarter but returned just after the halfway point of the third. He made catches of 23 and 25 yards on a drive that ended in a game-tying field goal early in the fourth, but Hill was clearly playing at less than 100 percent and spent a significant portion of Miami's offensive plays on the sideline. The final score doesn't show just how much the Dolphins missed Hill, as Miami's 27 points were fueled by a pick-six and two short touchdown drives that went a combined 19 yards. It's encouraging that Hill managed to finish the game, but the results of his upcoming scans coupled with his level of practice participation in the coming days will likely paint a clearer picture regarding his availability for Week 15 against the Jets.
Dec 11, 2023
Returns to field for MNF
Hill has returned to Monday's contest against the Titans after hurting his ankle in the first half, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill injured his ankle late in the first quarter and was deemed questionable to return after spending some time in the medical tent. The speedy receiver remained on the sideline for the remainder of the first half, but he was able to rejoin the offense midway through the third quarter. Hill's return should be a big boost to a Dolphins offense that didn't score a touchdown in the first half of Monday's matchup -- the team's only trip to the end zone came on a pick-six.
Dec 11, 2023
Hurts ankle, questionable to return
Hill suffered an ankle injury during the first half of Monday's Week 14 game against Tennessee and has been deemed questionable to return, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill initially left the field under his own power and stood on the sideline after after injuring his ankle late in the first quarter, but he eventually headed to the medical tent. He subsequently tested out his ankle before the Dolphins announced that the star wideout is questionable to return to the contest. Hill's absence would obviously be a big blow both to Miami and to fantasy managers who roster him. Jaylen Waddle figures to be Tua Tagovailoa's top target while Hill is out of the game, and Cedrick Wilson should see extra opportunities as well.
Dec 9, 2023
No injury concerns
Hill (ankle) does not carry an injury designation into Monday's game against the Titans, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill was a limited participant in practice all week, but he never seemed in danger of missing any time. The dynamic wideout is on pace for rarefied air as a receiver, and Monday's matchup against a struggling Titans pass defense projects to be another opportunity for Hill to pad his massive lead in terms of receiving yards across the NFL.
Dec 8, 2023
Puts in limited practice Friday
Hill (ankle) was a limited participant in Friday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Hill took a step forward in terms of activity Friday after sitting out Thursday's practice entirely, though his absence was most likely maintenance-related more than anything. The Dolphins haven't suggested that Hill's status for Monday's game against the Titans is truly in any jeopardy, but the star receiver may nonetheless need to put in a full practice Saturday to avoid carrying a designation into the Week 14 contest.
Dec 7, 2023
Absent for first Week 14 practice
Hill (ankle/rest) was a non-participant in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
The fact that Hill's absence for the Dolphins' first Week 14 practice was attributed in part due to "rest" suggests that the ankle issue isn't anything that puts his status in jeopardy for Monday's game against the Titans. Even while playing less than half of the Dolphins' offensive snaps in a 45-15 win over Washington in Week 13, Hill still turned in his third straight 100-yard receiving performance and is now up to 1,481 yards (to go with 93 catches and 12 touchdowns) through his first 12 appearances of the season. He's currently on pace for 2,098 yards over a 17-game slate, which would comfortably surpass Calvin Johnson's single-season record of 1,964 yards established in 2012 (in 16 games).
Dec 3, 2023
Another standout effort Sunday
Hill secured five of seven targets for 157 yards and two touchdowns in the Dolphins' 45-15 win over the Commanders on Sunday. He also netted minus-4 yards on two rush attempts.
ANALYSIS
The Dolphins already had a 31-7 lead by halftime, so Hill had a chance for some time off late in the contest. However, as he's demonstrated countless times, he didn't need a particularly robust target volume to do plenty of damage, striking from 78 and 60 yards away for touchdown receptions in the first and second quarter, respectively. Hill's yardage total comfortably paced Miami on the afternoon, while he drew even with Jaylen Waddle for the team lead in receptions. Hill is now seven catches away from reaching the 100-reception mark for the third straight season, and he's up to 1,481 receiving yards through 12 games, leaving him well within reach of his stated goal of 2,000. Hill's next opportunity to build on those totals comes in a Week 14 Monday night home matchup against a vulnerable Titans secondary.
Dec 1, 2023
Cleared for Sunday
Hill (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at the Commanders, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill was never believed to be in serious danger of missing the game and managed limited practices Thursday and Friday. He should be fine for his usual leading role this Sunday against a miserable Washington defense that's given up a league-high 28 touchdown passes and a league-worst 9.8 YPT to wide receivers. Matchups don't get much better, especially after the Commanders ruled out DE James Smith-Williams (hamstring) and CB Emmanuel Forbers (elbow) on Friday.
Nov 30, 2023
Logs limited practice
Hill (ankle) returned to a limited practice Thursday, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
After being sidelined Wednesday, Hill was able to practice in a limited fashion a day later, which bodes well for his chances of playing Sunday against Washington. Friday's injury report will reveal whether the star wideout heads into the weekend with an injury designation or fully cleared for Week 13 action.
Nov 30, 2023
Back at practice Thursday
Hill (ankle) returned to practice Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
After missing Wednesday's session, Hill's return to the field a day later has him trending in the right direction as Sunday's game against the Commanders approaches. Thursday's injury report will reveal whether Hill was limited or worked fully in his return to practice.
Nov 29, 2023
Misses practice Wednesday
Hill (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
During this past Friday's 34-13 win over the Jets, Hill logged 44 of a possible 70 snaps on offense, while catching nine of his 12 targets for 102 yards and a touchdown and adding one carry for two yards. However, the star wideout came out of Week 12 action carrying an ankle injury and his status is now worth monitoring ahead of Sunday's game against the Commanders. Hill has played in all 11 of Miami's game to date this season, and in that span he's racked up a 88/1,324/10 receiving line on 120 targets.
Nov 24, 2023
Tops 100 yards to extend NFL lead
Hill caught nine of 12 targets for 102 yards and a touchdown in Friday's 34-13 win over the Jets. He added one carry for two yards.
ANALYSIS
Hill briefly had his foot looked at on the sideline after making a 35-yard catch on Miami's first drive, but he checked back in and added a 17-yard reception three plays later. The speedster kept rolling with his league-leading 10th receiving touchdown of the season in the second quarter, which he scored on a seven-yard catch. Hill also exceeded 100 receiving yards for the seventh time in 11 games, and he leads the league with 1,324 receiving yards heading into a Week 13 road game against a Washington defense that has allowed the most yards in the NFL to wide receivers.
Nov 23, 2023
Ready to face Jets
Hill (hand) doesn't carry an injury designation for Friday's game against the Jets, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
A hand issue that had Hill listed as limited on Thursday's practice estimate won't prevent the wideout from suiting up Friday and barring any in-game setbacks, he figures to maintain a high-volume role in Miami's passing offense. Through 10 games to date, Hill is averaging a fantasy-friendly 7.9 catches for 122.2 yards per game to go along with nine TDs.
Nov 22, 2023
Remains limited Wednesday
Hill (hand) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
While it doesn't seem likely that Hill -- who was also listed as limited Tuesday -- will miss Friday's game against the Jets, the wideout could approach the contest with an injury designation if he's not listed as a full participant Thursday. Despite having exited the Dolphins' 20-13 win over the Raiders this past Sunday due to a hand issue, Hill still managed to catch 10 of his 11 targets for 146 yards and a touchdown in the contest.
Nov 21, 2023
Limited on practice estimate
Hill (hand) was listed as limited on Tuesday's estimated injury report, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill made a brief exit from Sunday's win against the Raiders due to a hand injury, which impacted his reps during Tuesday's walkthrough. He was able to play through the issue this past weekend on his way to 10 catches (on 11 targets) for 146 yards and one touchdown on a 57 percent share of the offensive snaps. Hill will have two more days to put the concern behind him ahead of Friday's road game against the Jets.
Nov 19, 2023
Double-digit catches in Week 11 win
Hill secured 10 of 11 targets for 146 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 20-13 in over the Raiders on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill led the Dolphins in receptions, receiving yards and targets despite exiting the game briefly in the first half with a hand injury. The standout receiver struck yet again with his blazing speed on a 38-yard scoring grab in the first quarter to answer an early Raiders field goal, Hill's ninth score of the season. Hill's 100-yard effort was his sixth of the campaign as well, and the eight-year veteran has already cleared the 1,200-yard mark through just 10 games. Hill will continue his march toward his stated goal of the first 2,000-yard campaign for a receiver in NFL history when he and the Dolphins face the Jets in a Week 12 Black Friday afternoon clash.
Nov 19, 2023
Returns to game
Hill (hand) returned to Sunday's game against the Raiders, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
After injuring his hand, Hill headed to the locker room to get his injury checked out, but was subsequently able to return to the contest. Prior to his first-half exit, Hill had caught all seven of his targets for 80 yards and a TD.
Nov 19, 2023
Exits Sunday's game
Hill headed to the locker room during Sunday's game against the Raiders with an apparent hand injury, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to his departure from the contest, Hill had caught all seven of his targets for 80 yards and a TD. In his absence, Jaylen Waddle and Cedrick Wilson are in line to lead the Dolphins' Week 11 WR corps.
Nov 5, 2023
Limited by Chiefs
Hill recorded eight receptions on 10 targets for 62 yards in Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Hill earned doubled-digit targets for the fourth consecutive game, though he could not deliver his typical big plays. He averaged only 7.8 yards per catch and failed to record a reception of at least 20 yards for the first time since Week 2. While it was a disappointing performance, Hill maintains an excellent floor due to his consistent volume in the Miami offense.
Oct 29, 2023
Another 100-yard effort in win
Hill secured eight of 13 targets for 112 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 31-17 win over the Patriots on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill actually finished second in receiving yards to Jaylen Waddle, a relatively unfamiliar position for the former. However, he still managed to record his fifth 100-yard tally of the season, including his third in the last four games. The highlight of Hill's productive afternoon was his 42-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter, one on which he outraced multiple defenders down the left side of the field after hauling in a well-thrown ball from Tua Tagovailoa. Hill also vaulted his season yardage total to 1,014 in just eight games, keeping him well on pace to reach his self-proclaimed goal of 2,000 yards. Hill now gears up for his first meeting with his former quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his old Chiefs squad when the Dolphins and Kansas City square off in Germany in Week 9.
Oct 27, 2023
Cleared to play Sunday
Hill (hip) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Patriots after practicing on a limited basis Thursday and Friday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
In addition to Hill, the Dolphins have also cleared fellow wideout Jaylen Waddle for Sunday's game after he was limited in practice this week due to a back injury. Through seven games to date, Hill has caught 53 of his 74 targets for 902 yards and seven touchdowns. He'll remain a high-volume target for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa this weekend, barring any in-game setbacks.
Oct 26, 2023
Limited at Thursday's practice
Hill (hip) returned to limited practice Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill missed Wednesday's practice, but his return to a limited session a day later bodes well for his chances of playing Sunday versus the Patriots, a notion bolstered by the wideout's assertion Thursday in terms of his Week 8 status that he's "good." That said, unless Hill practices fully Friday, he'll likely head into the weekend with an injury designation.
Oct 26, 2023
Back at practice Thursday
Hill (hip) was on the field for practice Thursday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
The wideout missed Wednesday's session, but his return to the field a day later is a positive indicator with regard to his chances of suiting up Sunday against the Patriots. The Dolphins will release their second Week 8 injury report later Thursday that will clarify the extent of Hill's participation, but during the portion of the workout that was open to the media, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network notes that the wideout ran routes, caught passes and did his usual high-intensity cutting during drills.
Oct 25, 2023
Dealing with hip injury
Hill was held out of Wednesday's practice with a hip injury, Hal Habib of The Palm Beach Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill briefly went to the blue medical tent during Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Eagles, returning in short order en route to an 11-88-1 receiving line on 15 targets. The Dolphins have been cautious with veterans at Wednesday practices this year, so the Thursday injury report should give us a better clue as to whether Hill is actually in danger of missing Sunday's matchup with the Patriots.
Oct 25, 2023
Not seen at practice
Hill and RB Raheem Mostert didn't participate in the media-access portion of Wednesday's practice, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Jaylen Waddle, on the other hand, managed to participate, despite missing a chunk of Sunday's loss to Philadelphia with a back injury. Hill also went to the medical tent at one point but quickly returned and finished with 15 targets and his seventh TD of the season.
Oct 23, 2023
Ties 2022 TD total in seven games
Hill turned 15 targets into 11 receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Hill scored his seventh receiving touchdown of the season Sunday, tying the number he scored last year over 17 games in his first season with the Dolphins. The speedster continues to be the focal point of Miami's high-flying offense while leading the league with 902 receiving yards. Philadelphia's AJ Brown sits at No. 2 on that list, but he finished with the superior receiving line (10-137-1) for the victorious team Sunday. The Patriots will be the next team to attempt to slow down Hill's furious pace when Miami hosts New England next Sunday.
Oct 15, 2023
Another standout performance
Hill recorded six receptions on 10 targets for 163 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's 42-21 win over the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Hill was uncharacteristically quiet to begin the game, as he didn't tally his first reception until late in the first quarter. He was excellent from there, however, highlighted by a deep 41-yard touchdown reception just before halftime. As has been the case for much of the season, he also consistently made big plays, delivering four receptions of more than 20 yards. Hill has now topped 100 receiving yards in four of six games and has seven touchdowns in the same span.
Oct 15, 2023
Returns to Sunday's contest
Hill (leg) returned to Sunday's game against the Panthers, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Jeff Howe of The Athletic, Hill's exit from the contest was due to cramping, and the wideout is now back in action and looks poised to continue to serve as a key target for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Oct 15, 2023
Goes to locker room Sunday
Hill headed to the locker room in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Panthers with a possible leg injury, Jeff Howe of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill checked out of the game after his leg appeared to be bothered him as he ran to the sideline on a 47-yard catch and run. Per David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, Hill appeared to be walking to the locker room in no major discomfort, so he might just have been experiencing some cramping. Hill had compiled four catches for 126 yards and a touchdown on eight targets over the Dolphins' first seven possessions.
Oct 8, 2023
Another long touchdown in win
Hill secured eight of nine targets for 181 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 31-16 win over the Giants on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill exploded for his second-highest receiving yardage total of the season with the help of an electric 69-yard touchdown where the fleet-footed receiver took a short pass and outran multiple defenders up the left side of the field into the end zone. Hill set the pace for Miami in both receptions and receiving yards on the afternoon, and he's already sporting an elite 36-651-5 line into a favorable Week 6 home matchup against the Panthers.
Oct 1, 2023
Contained in blowout loss
Hill secured three of five targets for 58 yards and rushed once for 14 yards in the Dolphins' 48-20 loss to the Bills on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill's yardage total, modest as it was, led the Dolphins on the day, while his catch tally was his lowest through four games. The speedster was also the intended target on a two-point conversion attempt early in the third quarter that would have brought Miami within nine, adding to the disappointment of the blowout loss. Hill naturally has the ability to quickly put the lackluster numbers behind him, and he should have a good chance of doing so in a favorable Week 5 matchup against the Giants at home.
Sep 24, 2023
Stellar performance in blowout
Hill secured nine of 11 targets for 157 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 70-20 win over the Broncos on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill paced the Dolphins in receptions, receiving yards and targets with Jaylen Waddle (concussion) sidelined for the contest, and his personal game-long 54-yard grab went for a first-quarter touchdown. Like the rest of Miami's front-line skill position players, Hill's day ended early in the record-setting blowout victory, but he's scored at least once in each of the first three games of the campaign and heads into a Week 4 road showdown against the Bills with a spectacular 25-412-4 line on 35 targets.
Sep 21, 2023
Churns out full practice
Hill (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
An ankle injury capped Hill's reps during Wednesday's session, but his full participation in practice a day later clears up any lingering concern regarding his status for Sunday's game agains the Broncos. Hill already enters Week 3 action ranked first in the NFL in receiving touchdowns (three), third in receiving yards (255) and tied for fourth in receptions (16), but he could have more target volume headed his way Sunday if fellow starting wideout Jaylen Waddle (concussion) isn't able to play. Waddle remained a non-participant in practice Thursday for the second day in a row after suffering the brain injury in last Sunday's win over the Patriots.
Sep 20, 2023
Limited at practice Wednesday
Hill (ankle) was limited at practice Wednesday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Meanwhile, Jaylen Waddle (concussion) didn't practice Wednesday, so the status of Miami's top two wideouts is worth monitoring as Sunday's game against the Broncos approaches. In the Dolphins' Week 2 win over the Patriots, Hill logged 54 of a possible 63 snaps on offense, while catching five of his nine targets for 40 yards and a touchdown.
Sep 18, 2023
Scores to offset low yardage
Hill had five receptions (nine targets) for 40 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-17 win over the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Patriots' head coach Bill Belichick is known for taking away the opponent's best weapon, and it was clear from the jump that the defense was not going to let the speedy wideout beat them deep. Hill still provided value for his fantasy managers with an early touchdown catch, his third through three games. Fellow starter Jaylen Waddle (head) was knocked out of the game after a rough hit to the head, so the Dolphins may need to rely on Hill more than usual if the former isn't able to go against the Broncos next Sunday.
Sep 10, 2023
Torches Chargers' secondary
Hill recorded 11 receptions on 15 targets for 215 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 36-34 win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Hill teamed up with Tua Tagovailoa to singlehandedly dismantle the Chargers. He had five receptions of more than 20 yards, one of which went for a 35-yard touchdown late in the third quarter. Hill also tallied the game-winning score on a four-yard catch with just under two minutes remaining in the game. It was an incredible performance to begin the 2023 season and marked Hill's third career contest with more than 200 receiving yards -- his first with the Dolphins.
Aug 31, 2023
Won't face league discipline
The NFL has decided there will be no disciplinary action taken against Hill in relation to an incident at Haulover Marina in June, ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Per NFL.com, Hill was investigated by police after a dispute with a South Florida marine worker who accused the wide receiver of assault. However, the issue was subsequently resolved in July, according to attorneys representing Hill and the worker. As the coming season approaches, Hill, who recorded 119 catches (on 170 targets) for 1,710 yards in 2022, is slated to reprise his role as a focal point in a Miami passing attack that also features fellow WR Jaylen Waddle, who caught 75 passes last year.
Aug 26, 2023
Splash play on one catch
Hill brought in his only target for a 32-yard gain in the Dolphins' 31-18 preseason loss to the Jaguars on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
Hill's catch came on the Dolphins' first play from scrimmage, with the speedster catching a pass over the middle and turning upfield for some extra yardage. Hill wasn't targeted again, but the cameo was all that was needed to corroborate his readiness for the regular season. The prolific wideout will now turn his attention to a Week 1 road matchup against the Chargers on Sunday, Sept. 10.
Aug 19, 2023
Brief preseason debut
Hill caught his lone target for 13 yards in Saturday's preseason win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Hill made a brief two-drive preseason debut -- the first of which lasted just one play after Tua Tagovailoa threw an INT on his first attempt -- which explains the fantasy star's lack of usage sans Jaylen Waddle (hip). Tua settled down and found his favorite target for a 13-yard pitch and catch on Miami's next drive. Hill doesn't need to prove anything before the regular season, so it was a welcomed sight to see the fantasy star and his quarterback get on the field as Week 1 approaches. The dynamic wideout will look to build on a 2022 season that saw him set new career highs in receptions (119) and receiving yards (1,710).
Aug 19, 2023
Expected to play Saturday
Hill is among the Dolphins' healthy starters expected to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Texans, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The same applies to top QB Tua Tagovailoa, while fellow starting wideout Jaylen Waddle is dealing with an abdomen injury and is not in line to play Saturday. Though it appears as though Hill will see some reps against Houston, we wouldn't expect his appearance to be a lengthy one, with the team's depth options likely to see plenty of action after the key skill players get their work in.
Aug 11, 2023
Sitting out Friday
Hill isn't slated to play in Friday's preseason game against the Falcons, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
The Dolphins offense also won't include QB Tua Tagovailoa, RBs Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson and WR Jaylen Waddle, leaving Cedrick Wilson, River Cracraft, Braxton Berrios and Robbie Chosen, among others, as the team's available wide receivers. Hill's next chance for exhibition action will arrive Saturday, Aug. 19 at Houston.
Jul 26, 2023
NFL still investigating incident
Coach Mike McDaniel said Wednesday "the league is still looking into" Hill's involvement in an incident at a Miami Beach marina last month, for which a settlement was reached on Monday, Safid Deen of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
The joint-attorney statement announced Monday reads: "The parties to the incident which occurred on June 18th, 2023 at the Haulover Marina involving Tyreek Hill have resolved their differences," per Adam Schefter of ESPN. No charges were pressed against Hill, though the Miami-Dade Police Department did investigate the incident. Though Hill's legal situation has been resolved, potential disciplinary action from the NFL can't be ruled out until such time as the league's investigation is complete. The seven-time Pro Bowl wideout was limited during minicamp due to an undisclosed minor injury, but Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports that McDaniel singled out Hill and Waddle competing against cornerbacks Jalen Ramsey and Xavien Howard as his most anticipated battle of training camp, indicating that the Dolphins' top wideout is ready to go.
Jun 8, 2023
Dealing with minor injury
Coach Mike McDaniel said Hill (undisclosed) has been limited in OTAs due to "some minor injury," New England Sports Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill's injury doesn't appear to be of any serious concern for the Dolphins, but it will be worth monitoring as offseason activities progress. McDaniel also said Hill is "night and day ahead of where he was last year with regard to the offense, and has his mind set on improving and being even better from last year," though it's hard to ask for better production than a 2022 campaign which saw the 29-year-old notch career-highs in terms of both catches (119) and receiving yards (1,710). Of course, should McDaniel's scheme build on itself heading into Year 2, and if Tua Tagovailoa manages an injury-free season, the sky will be the limit for Hill, along with co-star wideout Jaylen Waddle.
Apr 6, 2023
Only wants to play three more years
Hill told former teammates Anthony Sherman and Gehrig Dieter that he wants to retire after 2025, per Grant Gordon of NFL.com.
ANALYSIS
Hill made the comment five weeks after his 29th birthday on March 1, suggesting he wants to retire at the conclusion of his age-31 season. Given how well he's aged so far, it seems only injuries would prevent him from still being one of the fastest players in the league at that time. This is something to at least make note of for dynasty leagues, though Hill could easily change his mind three years from now and would only be missing out on post-prime years anyway if he does end up retiring a bit early by the standards of a superstar player. He had career highs for targets, catches and receiving yards in 2022 -- his debut campaign with the Dolphins -- and while he's technically now entering the first season of a four-year, $120 million extension it's really more like a three-year, $75 million contract for practical purposes given that there's $45 million in non-guaranteed compensation scheduled for the final season (2026).
Mar 10, 2023
Agrees to contract adjustment
Hill restructured his contract with the Dolphins on Friday to convert his $10 million roster bonus into a $24.84 million bonus and his $16 million salary into a $1.17 million salary, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill's restructured opens up about $18 million in cap space for Miami as the team prepares to tackle free agency. The star wideout remains under contract for the Dolphins for the next three seasons after having but together a career 119-1,710-8 receiving like last year. By all accounts, Hill looks to be in prime position for another high-end fantasy season in Year 2 of coach Mike McDaniel's scheme, with Tua Tagovailoa primed to return as his starting quarterback.
Jan 15, 2023
Leads Dolphins in receiving
Hill caught seven of 15 targets for 69 yards in Sunday's 34-31 loss to the Bills in the wild-card round. He also rushed two times for five yards.
ANALYSIS
Hill led Miami in all major receiving categories, but his output was limited compared to its usual level as fill-in quarterback Skylar Thompson averaged just 4.9 yards per attempt while throwing two interceptions. Despite being subjected to a revolving door of signal callers in his first season with the Dolphins, Hill still racked up career highs in catches (119), targets (170) and receiving yards (1,710) while totaling eight touchdowns to boot. With unmatched, game-breaking speed, Hill should remain a dominant force in 2023, when Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is expected to return as the team's starting quarterback.
Jan 8, 2023
Struggles in regular-season finale
Hill brought in two of five targets for 23 yards in the Dolphins' 11-6 win over the Jets on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
It was a forgettable afternoon overall for Hill on an individual level, although the overriding storyline naturally was the Dolphins' ability to secure a wild-card spot with the victory. Hill exited the game at one point with an ankle issue but was able to return, but he'll head into next weekend's road wild-card matchup against the Bills with a combined 6-78 line over the final two games of the regular season and no immediate insight into which quarterback he'll be working with.
Jan 8, 2023
Returns to game
Hill (ankle) has returned to Sunday's game against the Jets, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
The wideout was previously forced out of the contest with an ankle issue, but he's back in and should resume his key role in Miami's passing offense versus New York.
Jan 8, 2023
Hurts ankle Sunday
Hill was forced out of Sunday's game against the Jets with an ankle injury.
ANALYSIS
Before leaving the contest, Hill caught two of his four targets for 23 yards. In his absence, River Cracraft and Erik Ezukanma are candidates to see added Week 18 wideout snaps for the Dolphins.
Jan 1, 2023
Held in check by Patriots
Hill secured four of seven targets for 55 yards during Sunday's 23-21 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Hill's receiving upside was capped with Tua Tagovialoa (concussion) inactive and Teddy Bridgewater (finger) forced out in the third quarter, leaving him to finish the game with third string rookie Skylar Thompson. The speedster finished second on the team in receiving yards behind Raheem Mostert, in large part due to a game plan focused on shorter completions against New England's high octane defense. Depending on the health of Tagovailoa and Bridgewater, Hill could be tasked with catching passes from Thompson again Week 18 versus the Jets.
Dec 25, 2022
Hits century mark against Packers
Hill caught four of six targets for 103 yards in Sunday's 26-20 loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
The Dolphins' offense could do nothing wrong in the first half and almost nothing right in the second, otherwise Hill might have put together an even bigger performance. It's the speedster's seventh 100-yard game of the season, but he remains behind Justin Jefferson in the race for the NFL receiving yards crown heading into a Week 17 road clash with the Patriots.
Dec 18, 2022
Heavy catch volume in loss
Hill secured nine of 13 targets for 69 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 32-29 loss to the Bills on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
Hill recorded a game-high reception tally in the high-scoring loss and also posted a 20-yard scoring grab down the right sideline in the third quarter on a perfectly thrown pass from Tua Tagovailoa. The speedster now has a touchdown reception in three straight contests and a pair of nine-catch tallies in that span as well, giving him plenty of momentum going into a key Christmas Day afternoon home matchup against the Packers in Week 16.
Dec 14, 2022
Full walkthrough participant
Hill (ankle) was listed as a full participant in Miami's Wednesday walkthrough practice, South Florida Sun-Sentinel writer David Furones reports.
ANALYSIS
It's not clear what a 'full' walkthrough workload entails, but Hill in any case appears to be trending in a good direction for Miami's Week 15 matchup at Buffalo. The stakes couldn't be much higher for the Dolphins and the matchup couldn't be more imposing, so they will no doubt give Hill all the work he can handle, and to this point in the week it seems like Hill should be close to his normal self.

Limited to begin Week 15 prep
Hill (ankle) was listed as a limited participant on Tuesday's estimated practice report, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill played through the ankle issue in the 23-17 loss to the Chargers over the weekend, but it didn't stop him from recording four catches for 81 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets while adding another score of a fumble recovery. Head coach Mike McDaniel said after the contest that Hill wasn't dealing with anything more than minor "bumps and bruises," and the expectation is that the star wideout will be ready to play Saturday in Buffalo. He may carry an injury designation into that contest, however, if he doesn't advance to full practice participation by Thursday.
Dec 12, 2022
Working through bumps and bruises
Coach Mike McDaniel relayed Monday that Hill, who worked through an ankle issue during Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Chargers, is in line to receive treatment for the injury Tuesday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
That said, at this stage it doesn't appear that the wideout's status for Saturday's game against the Bills is in danger, with McDaniel noting "from all indications, it's bumps and bruises he'll be able to work through." Chances are, however, that Hill's practice reps will be managed in the coming days.
Dec 11, 2022
Finishes game after injury scare
Hill (ankle) had four receptions (10 targets) for 81 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Chargers. He also recovered a teammate's fumble for another touchdown.
ANALYSIS
Hill had fantasy managers holding their collective breath when he was forced to the locker room with an ankle injury late in the first half. The speedy wideout was able to return after halftime, promptly scoring a touchdown for good measure. Miami would limit Hill's snaps in the second half after he appeared to be running at less than 100 percent on a couple of routes as the game progressed. The 28-year-old was on the field for the Dolphins' final offensive drive, ending an eventful night on a positive note. Make sure to monitor Hill's status during practice this week, as he may be limited due to his ankle ahead of Saturday's tilt against the Bills.
Dec 11, 2022
Back after halftime injury scare
Hill (ankle) is on the field for Miami's first offensive snap of the second half, David Furones of the Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill was deemed questionable to return at halftime but returned on the first snap of the second half. Despite a horrific first half from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, Hill still got into the end zone after scampering 57 yards on a fumble recovery in the second quarter.
Dec 9, 2022
Good to go this week
Hill (illness) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday night's game against the Chargers after practicing fully Friday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill sat out practice Thursday, but the wideout was back for a full session Friday, which sets the stage for the Dolphins to have their top two wideouts available in Week 14, with Jaylen Waddle (fibula) also cleared to play after practicing fully Thursday and Friday. Though 12 contests to date, Hill has logged a fantasy-friendly 96/1,379/5 stat line on 129 targets. As long as they remain healthy, Hill and Waddle should continue to see plenty of volume in the coming weeks.
Dec 9, 2022
No longer ill
According to coach Mike McDaniel, Hill is no longer ill and will practice Friday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill's brief illness cost him only one practice. The league's leader in receiving yards (1,379) should be ready to go come Sunday against a banged up Chargers secondary.
Dec 8, 2022
Misses Thursday's practice
Hill missed Thursday's practice due to an illness, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill practiced fully Wednesday, so the wideout's status is now worth monitoring closely as this weekend's game against the Chargers approaches. Friday's practice/injury report will provide further context regarding Hill's Week 14 status ahead of Sunday night's 8:20 ET kickoff.
Dec 4, 2022
Another big game
Hill caught nine of 13 targets for 146 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 33-17 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Hill comfortably led the Dolphins in all major receiving categories, as teammate Jaylen Waddle managed just one catch for nine yards while playing through a leg injury. In signature Hill fashion, the speedster broke free for a 45-yard touchdown bomb to begin the fourth quarter. In doing so, Hill has now scored three times in his last four games, and Sunday incredibly marked his sixth outing with at least 140 receiving yards this season. Undoubtedly the league's most explosive wideout, Hill next faces a Chargers secondary that surrendered over 175 yards and two touchdowns to Raiders standout Davante Adams on Sunday.
Nov 30, 2022
Not on injury report
Hill isn't listed on Miami's Week 13 injury report ahead of a game in San Francisco on Sunday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill dealt with cramps during Sunday's 30-15 win over Houston, and coach Mike McDaniel pulled most of his starters anyway once the team had a 30-point lead after halftime. Cramps shouldn't be as much of an issue for Hill this weekend, though he does tend to play a few less snaps than other top receivers because of how often he's targeted when on the field and how much energy he expends on each snap. The concern for this week -- so much as there can ever be one for a player like Hill in the midst of a career year -- is a matchup on the road with one of the best defenses in the NFL. He's still an auto-start WR1 in other fantasy formats but might be less popular than usual for DFS this week.
Nov 27, 2022
Solid showing before early exit
Hill (undisclosed) brought in six of nine targets for 85 yards and rushed once for five yards in the Dolphins' 30-15 win over the Texans on Sunday. He ultimately left the game in the second half due to cramping, per Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald.
ANALYSIS
Hill put together an efficient performance prior to his early exit, helping the Dolphins jump out to a 30-0 lead by halftime with a team-high catch total and co-team-best receiving yardage tally as well. The speedster's cramping issues shouldn't be a long-term concern, and he'll figure to play an integral role in a Week 13 road showdown against the 49ers after eclipsing the 70-yard mark for the fifth time in the last six games Sunday.
Nov 27, 2022
Exits Sunday's game
Hill exited Sunday's game against the Texans due to cramping, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to his departure from the contest, Hill caught six of his nine targets for 85 yards and carried once of five yards. In his absence, River Cracraft, Trent Sherfield and Cedrick Wilson are available to handle added WR snaps alongside Jaylen Waddle.
Nov 13, 2022
Records fourth TD of season
Hill secured five of six targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 39-17 win over the Browns on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill led the Dolphins in receptions on the afternoon, but his yardage total was his second lowest of the season. However, the speedster salvaged his day from a fantasy perspective with a touchdown reception for the second straight week, securing a two-yard scoring grab in the left side of the end zone late in the third quarter. Hill heads into the Week 11 bye already boasting an 81-1,144-4 line through 10 games.
Nov 6, 2022
Eye-popping numbers yet again
Hill secured seven of eight targets for 143 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 35-32 win over the Bears on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill put together what is fast becoming a normal game for him during his young but prolific Dolphins tenure, with his catch, yardage and target tallies all serving as team highs on the afternoon. Hill also recorded his third trip to the end zone this season on a three-yard touchdown grab early in the second quarter, and he's now eclipsed the 140-yard mark on a jaw-dropping five occasions over his first nine game. Hill next gets a crack at a vulnerable Browns secondary on his home field in a Week 10 matchup.
Oct 30, 2022
Massive output in Week 8 win
Hill secured 12 of 14 targets for 188 yards and rushed once for seven yards in the Dolphins' 31-27 win over the Lions on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill comfortably paced the Dolphins' pass catchers across the stat sheet, leading to the speedster tying his season high in receptions and his second-highest yardage total of the campaign as well. Hill has arguably been even better than expected thus far in Miami, now having recorded a whopping four performances with double-digit receptions and at least 160 receiving yards. Now boasting a 69-961-2 line through eight games, Hill will head into a Week 9 road matchup against the Bears with ample opportunity to exceed the 1,000-yard mark in that contest.
Oct 24, 2022
Gains 72 yards on 13 targets
Hill had seven receptions (13 targets) for 72 yards in Sunday's 16-10 win over Pittsburgh.
ANALYSIS
The Dolphins had starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion/ankle) back under center, and he immediately resumed peppering his favorite wideout with targets. Hill has now seen double-digit targets in four of the five games Tua has started this year. The speedster was held in check on the field -- considering the volume of targets he received -- resulting in his second lowest YPC of the season. Still, it was another productive outing for one of fantasy's top wideouts heading into a favorable matchup against the Lions next Sunday.
Oct 16, 2022
Monster numbers in loss
Hill secured 12 of 15 targets for 177 yards and netted minus-2 yards on one punt return in the Dolphins' 24-16 loss to the Vikings on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill led the Dolphins' air attack across the board in receptions, receiving yards and targets, displaying excellent chemistry with Teddy Bridgewater after the veteran came into the game for Skylar Thompson (thumb). Game script certainly worked in Hill's favor, as Miami trailed from the second quarter onward. The speedster, who now has a pair of 100-yard tallies in his last thee games, is slated to get starting signal-caller Tua Tagovailoa back for a Week 7 Sunday night home matchup against the Steelers.
Oct 12, 2022
Logs full practice
Hill (foot) was a full practice participant Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill apparently isn't having any issues with the foot injury that knocked him out of Sunday's loss to the Jets. He should be out there this Sunday against the Vikings, albeit with either Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) or Skylar Thompson playing quarterback while Tua Tagovailoa (knees) misses another game.
Oct 12, 2022
Optimism for Week 6
The Dolphins are optimistic that Hill (foot) will be able to suit up against the Vikings in Week 6, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill had to wear a walking boot after suffering a left foot injury during Week 5's loss to the Jets, but it looks like Miami is hopeful he won't need to miss any time. It appears likely that the offense will once again be without Tua Tagovailoa (concussion), and Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) isn't a sure bet to be available either. Having Hill on the field would certainly be beneficial for third-string quarterback Skylar Thompson if he lines up under center, but the Pro Bowl wideout's status will likely come down to how much he's able to do in practice this week.
Oct 9, 2022
Dealing with left foot injury
Hill was spotted with a walking boot on his left foot following Sunday's 40-17 loss to the Jets, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
The report indicates that the wideout said he's feeling fine at this stage, but Hill's status will nonetheless be worth monitoring in advance of next Sunday's game against the Vikings. At a minimum, look for his practice participation level to be limited to start the coming week.
Oct 9, 2022
Hurts foot Sunday
Hill exited Sunday's game against the Jets with a foot injury.
ANALYSIS
Prior to his exit from the contest, Hill caught all seven of his targets for 47 yards and ran twice for 13 yards. In his absence, Cedrick Wilson, Trent Sherfield and River Cracraft are candidates to log added snaps alongside fellow WR Jaylen Waddle.
Oct 9, 2022
Suits up Sunday
Hill (quad) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Jets.
ANALYSIS
As is Jaylen Waddle (groin), which sets the stage for Miami's top two wideouts to catch passes Sunday from Teddy Bridgewater, with Tua Tagovailoa (concussion/back/ankle) sidelined. Barring any in-game setbacks, Hill -- who was limited at practice Thursday and Friday -- should continue to see enough Week 5 volume to maintain fantasy utility. Though his first four games with Miami, Hill has logged a 31/477/2 stat line on 43 targets.
Oct 9, 2022
Likely available for Week 5
Hill (quadriceps), who's listed as questionable, is expected to play Sunday against the Jets, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill popped up on the injury report Friday as a limited participant due to a quadriceps injury and was listed as questionable for Week 5. However, he, along with fellow wideout Jaylen Waddle, are both expected to be available for Teddy Bridgewater, who'll make his first start of the season in place of Tua Tagovailoa (concussion). Despite the optimism, fantasy mangers should still confirm Hill's status ahead of Sunday's 1:00 PM ET kickoff.
Oct 7, 2022
Listed as questionable for Week 5
Hill (quad) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets after logging a limited practice Friday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The same applies to Jaylen Waddle (groin), while Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald previously relayed via coach Mike McDaniel that the Dolphins are "hopeful" Hill will play this weekend. Fortunately for those relying on either of Miami's top wideouts in Week 5 fantasy lineups, the team kicks off at 1:00 ET on Sunday.
Oct 6, 2022
Added to Week 5 injury report
Hill (quad) was listed as limited at practice Thursday, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill's addition to Miami's injury report after practicing fully Wednesday makes his status worth tracking in advance of Sunday's game against the Jets. Also limited Thursday was Jaylen Waddle (groin), which sets the stage for Friday's final injury report to provide added clarity with regard the health of the team's Week 5 wideout corps, which will be catching passes from Teddy Bridgewater, with Tua Tagovailoa (concussion/back/ankle) out this weekend.
Sep 29, 2022
Back over century mark in loss
Hill secured 10 of 14 targets for 160 yards and rushed once for minus-1 yard in the Dolphins' 27-15 loss to the Bengals on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Hill generated game-high reception, receiving yardage and target totals in a resurgent performance after producing just a 2-33 line on four targets in Week 3 against the Bills. However, the head and neck injuries that knocked Tua Tagovailoa out of Thursday's game naturally could have an impact on the overall outlook for the air attack, although Hill and backup Teddy Bridgewater displayed good chemistry during their time together on the field. In coming days, Hill should get further clarity on which quarterback he'll work during the Dolphins' next game, which will be an AFC East road showdown against the Jets a week from Sunday.
Sep 25, 2022
Quiet in Week 3 win
Hill brought in two of four targets for 33 yards in the Dolphins' 21-19 win over the Bills on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill checked in second in receiving yards for the Dolphins on the afternoon, notable given his total was modest by any standard. The reception, yardage and target tallies were Hill's lowest in his brief Dolphins career, but he'll have a chance to quickly bounce back when Miami faces the Bengals in a Week 4 road matchup Thursday night.
Sep 18, 2022
Elite, gutsy performance in win
Hill secured 11 of 13 targets for 190 yards and two touchdowns in the Dolphins' 42-38 win over the Ravens on Sunday. He left the game temporarily in the second half due to cramping per Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald, but he returned soon thereafter and finished the game.
ANALYSIS
Hill's performance was reminiscent of his glory days in Kansas City working with a quarterback in Patrick Mahomes that he's favorably compared current signal-caller Tua Tagovailoa to on a couple of occasions since joining the Dolphins. Hill showed off great chemistry with the 2020 first-round pick in a wild comeback win that featured 35 second-half point for Miami, 14 which came courtesy of Hill's 48- and 60-yard touchdown grabs in the fourth quarter that helped forge a 35-35 tie. Hill utilized his trademark speed on both plays, but as his final line implies, he was a major asset all over the field in the victory. Assuming no carryover from the cramping, Hill should be line for another busy day in what shapes up as a marquee Week 3 showdown with the Bills in South Florida next Sunday.
Sep 11, 2022
100 scrimmage yards in Miami debut
Hill caught eight of 12 targets for 94 yards and rushed once for six yards in Sunday's 20-7 win over the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Hill racked up 100 scrimmage yards on the dot in his Dolphins debut. The offseason acquisition was Tua Tagovailoa's featured target, as Jaylen Waddle finished a distant second with five targets. Hill has the skills to remain in the WR1 conversation week in and week out, including in Week 2 against the Ravens.
Aug 27, 2022
Showcases big-play ability
Hill recorded two receptions on two targets for 64 yards in Saturday's preseason win over the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Hill and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa wasted no time showing off their connection, as Hill beat the secondary deep down the middle for a 51-yard gain on the first play of the game. One play later, he recorded a 13-yard catch. Though the production was meaningless Saturday, Hill should be in line for plenty of targets come the Dolphins' Week 1 matchup against New England.
Aug 27, 2022
Available to play Saturday
Hill is available to play in Saturday's preseason finale against the Eagles, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
As is starting QB Tua Tagovailoa, but it remains to be seen how much work the duo will see Saturday. Once Week 1 rolls around, Hill is slated to see plenty of snaps and targets in Miami's offense alongside fellow WR Jaylen Waddle .
Aug 20, 2022
Held out as precaution
Hill was held out of Saturday's preseason game against Las Vegas as a precaution, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill's went through pregame workouts and wasn't listed among the players not expected to play, but when he came back out to the field at game time he didn't have pads on under his uniform. With Jaylen Waddle (leg) also out, Miami started Cedrick Wilson and Trent Sherfield at wide receiver, per Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald.
Aug 20, 2022
Set up to play with Tua on Saturday
Hill is expected to play in Saturday's preseason game against Las Vegas, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed) is unavailable, but the Dolphins seem to be playing most of their healthy starters, including Hill and QB Tua Tagovailoa.
Aug 13, 2022
Not in line to play Saturday
Hill isn't expected to play in Saturday's preseason game at Tampa Bay.
ANALYSIS
The Dolphins are sitting the vast majority of their starters in the exhibition opener, with fellow wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and running backs Chase Edmonds and Raheem Mostert taking a seat. With Hill and Waddle out, the team is rolling with Cedrick Wilson, Preston Williams and Trent Sherfield at wideout Saturday.
Jul 29, 2022
Thriving early in camp
Hill has found regular success during early training camp practices while operating alongside teammate Jaylen Waddle, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill logged the highlight of training camp Day 2 by securing a 40-yard pass from Tua Tagovailoa, but both he and Waddle have been regularly featured in offensive and team drills. Both wideouts are coming off seasons of over 100 catches and 1,000 yards, and are now primed to form one of the most explosive receiver tandems in NFL history. As Wingfield notes, the impact of deploying both Hill and Waddle in coach Mike McDaniel's scheme should not only regularly produce big plays, but also open up opportunities for short-area plays to generate extra yards. In any case, it's encouraging to see the chemistry Hill has established with Tagovailoa already on display.
Mar 23, 2022
Traded to Miami
Hill has been traded to the Dolphins for five draft picks: a 2022 first-round pick, a second-round pick and a fourth-rounder, as well as fourth- and sixth-round picks next year, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The Dolphins will also sign Hill to a four-year, $120 million contract after the trade. In the wake of this stunning development, Hill will now catch passes from Tua Tagovailoa and/or Teddy Bridgewater. The 28-year-old is coming off a 2021 season in which he racked up a career-high 111 catches (on 159 targets) for 1,239 yards and nine TDs in 17 games. With Hill no longer in the mix, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman are currently next up on Kansas City's wide receiver depth chart, but we'd expect moves to be made to provide added options behind that duo. Meanwhile, Hill finds himself atop a depth chart that also includes Jaylen Waddle, DeVante Parker and Cedrick Wilson. Though he has the speed and playmaking ability to produce in any context, minus the advantage of working with a proven elite talent in Patrick Mahomes, Hill's fantasy upside this coming season hinges on volume and the on-field rapport he develops with the Dolphins' signal callers.
Mar 23, 2022
Could be traded?
The Chiefs have given Hill's agent permission to seek a trade, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Movement toward a contract extension reportedly has stalled, with both Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network suggesting Hill could now be traded to a team that's willing to pay him what he wants. The 28-year-old is under contract with the Chiefs for just one more season, and he presumably a new deal that will place him among the two or three highest-paid wide receivers in the league. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports the Dolphins and Jets are in talks with the Chiefs, while Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com notes the Chiefs are expected to seek "two first-round picks and more" in exchange for the star wideout.
Mar 4, 2022
Could land extension
The Chiefs and Hill's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, have reportedly exchanged contract proposals this week, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
ANALYSIS
With Hill -- who is slated to count $20.685 million against the salary cap in 2022 -- approaching the final season of a three-year extension he signed in 2019, the two sides seem amenable to crafting a deal to keep the wideout in Kansas City for the long term. Moreover, the report notes that an extension for Hill would likely feature a structure aimed at lowering his cap hit this year, which would help the team's ability to bolster its nucleus of talent on offense, which currently also includes franchise QB Patrick Mahomes and star TE Travis Kelce.
Jan 30, 2022
Opens scoring in AFCCG loss
Hill caught seven of 10 targets for 78 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 overtime AFC Championship Game loss to the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Hill was instrumental in Kansas City's hot start, as he scored the game's first points with a 10-yard touchdown and the Chiefs went on to take a 21-3 lead. The speedy wideout came close to scoring a second touchdown on one of the game's pivotal plays, but he was stopped at Cincinnati's one-yard line as the first half expired. Shockingly, that ended up being Hill's final touch of the afternoon, as he was blanked in the second half and overtime. Patrick Mahomes' final pass of the season was a deep ball to Hill down the sideline in overtime, which was batted away by one defender and intercepted by another. Despite this disappointing finish, Hill should resume his role as a key cog in one of the league's most fearsome offenses next year, and he'll be looking to extend a streak of five consecutive regular seasons with at least seven touchdowns.
Jan 24, 2022
Scores 64-yard TD late in wild win
Hill caught 11 of 13 targets for 150 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 42-36 overtime win over the Bills. He added one rushing attempt for minus-2 yards and a 45-yard punt return.
ANALYSIS
Hill was tackled by the opposing punter on his lone return of the game, saving a touchdown as the Chiefs ended up settling for a field goal. The speedster wouldn't be denied the end zone with just over a minute to play and the Chiefs down by three, as he found a seam in Buffalo's defense and raced down the field for a go-ahead 64-yard touchdown. The Bills answered with a touchdown of their own, but a 19-yard catch by Hill helped set up the game-tying field goal, and the Chiefs won it on the first drive of overtime. In the AFC Championship Game, Hill will face a Bengals defense that limited him to 40 receiving yards in the regular season.
Jan 17, 2022
Hits pay dirt in playoff win
Hill caught all five of his targets for 57 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 42-21 win over the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Travis Kelce was the featured offensive weapon for Kansas City in this decisive victory -- as has been the case over the final stretch of the regular season -- but Hill still managed to produce a solid fantasy line despite failing to "go off." The speedy wideout has been a little more boom-or-bust than he has in previous seasons, likely due to defenses running tons of deep, two-safety formations and forcing the Chiefs' playmakers to work more underneath routes. Hill still possesses the ability to break off huge touchdowns on any given play, which will likely result in a DFS salary slightly higher than his recent play appears to be worth against the Bills next week.
Jan 14, 2022
Cleared for playoff opener
Hill (heel) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday night's playoff game against the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Hill was limited at practice Thursday, but his full participation in Friday's session sets the stage for Kansas City's playmaking wideout to be available for the team's postseason opener. As a result, Hill and tight end Travis Kelce will continue to profile as QB Patrick Mahomes' top passing targets this weekend. Through 17 regular season outings, Hill recorded a fantasy-friendly 111/1,239/9 stat line on 159 targets to go along with nine carries for 96 yards.
Jan 13, 2022
Limited practice session Thursday
Hill (heel) was limited at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Hill was a full participant Wednesday, so it remains to be seen if his listed limitations are maintenance-related or indicative of a setback. Friday's final injury report will add some clarity on that front and if the wideout is able to to practice fully to close the week, he'd be in line to approach Sunday's playoff game against the Steelers minus an injury designation.
Jan 12, 2022
Logs full practice Wednesday
Hill (heel) practiced fully Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com previously noted that Hill looked good during the media-access portion of Wednesday's practice, a notion echoed by coach Andy Reid, per Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star. With a full session under his belt, Hill is slated to play in Sunday night's playoff opener against the Steelers and in the process the star wideout should see plenty of targets this weekend after having his snaps limited in Week 18.
Jan 12, 2022
Practicing Wednesday
Hill (heel) was present for Wednesday's practice, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It remains to be seen how Kansas City classifies Hill's participation level, but based on his observation of the session, Sweeney suggests that the wideout looks good to go as Sunday's playoff opener against the Steelers approaches. In the Chiefs' regular-season finale against the Broncos this past weekend, Hill's heel issue limited him to just 14 snaps on offense.
Jan 10, 2022
Expected to be fine
Coach Andy Reid said Monday that the team expects Hill (heel) to be ready for Sunday's wild-card matchup against Pittsburgh, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill dealt with heel soreness during Saturday's 28-24 win over the Broncos, although it appears as though his limited role was mainly precautionary. The Chiefs will likely monitor his status during practice ahead of the playoffs, but it appears as though the 27-year-old is on track to play Sunday.
Jan 8, 2022
Struggles through heel issue
Hill recorded one reception on three targets for two yards in Saturday's 28-24 win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Hill played an extremely limited role in the game while dealing with a heel injury. However, his lone catch was impactful, as it resulted in a converted fourth down attempt on a drive that resulted in a field goal. After the contest, coach Andy Reid only stated that Hill has a sore heel, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports. Meanwhile, teammate Mecole Hardman had a more optimistic view, stating that Hill was held out of the game primarily for precautionary reasons, as reported by James Palmer of NFL Network. Given Hill's key role in the Kansas City offense, his health will be very important to monitor throughout the week, particularly if Tennessee wins to secure the top seed in the AFC on Sunday.
Jan 2, 2022
Quiet game despite 10 targets
Hill caught six of 10 targets for 40 yards in Sunday's 34-31 loss to the Bengals. He added two yards on his lone rushing attempt.
ANALYSIS
After totaling only 19 yards in his return from the reserve/COVID-19 list last week, Hill led the Chiefs in targets but didn't make much of his opportunities. He almost hauled in a deep pass just before halftime, but Bengals safety Vonn Bell knocked the ball out of Hill's hands. The speedster will look to get back on track before the playoffs with a bounce-back performance in the season finale against Denver.
Dec 26, 2021
Quiet day in win
Hill caught two passes for 19 yards on two targets against Pittsburgh on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
It's possible that Hill's inability to practice this week (illness) left him with a decreased presence in the game plan, though the ease with which the Chiefs won (36-10) might have also played a role. The Chiefs put the Steelers away easily even without using Hill, but to beat the Bengals in Week 17 the Chiefs will likely need to reappoint Hill as their workhorse receiver. With that, a return to high-level fantasy production for Hill becomes more likely than not.
Dec 25, 2021
Comes off COVID-19 list
The Chiefs activated Hill (illness) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Hill was placed on the COVID-19 list Tuesday after testing positive for the virus, but he's cleared league protocols and will be available to Kansas City's offense Sunday against the Steelers. As for tight end Travis Kelce (illness), he remains on the COVID-19 list but has chance to gain clearance to play ahead of Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.
Dec 25, 2021
Reportedly set to be cleared
Hill (illness) has reportedly been cleared to play Sunday against the Steelers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
We'll await confirmation from the team, which would come in the form of Hill being officially activated off the reserve/COVID-19 in advance of Saturday afternoon's transaction deadline. Meanwhile, Schefter adds that tight end Travis Kelce has not been cleared at this stage, but "still has a shot" for that to happen prior to Sunday's contest.
Dec 21, 2021
Tests positive for virus
Hill was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday after testing positive for the virus, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
He was one of seven Chiefs to test positive for the virus Tuesday, bringing the number of players on the organization's reserve/COVID-19 list up to 14. If vaccinated, Hill will still have a chance at being cleared for Sunday's game against the Steelers, but his availability will hinge on him being asymptomatic of the virus. Star tight end Travis Kelce (illness) also tested positive Monday, so quarterback Patrick Mahomes could be without his top two pass catchers Week 16.
Dec 21, 2021
Headed for COVID-19 list
The Chiefs plan to place Hill on the reserve/COVID-19 list later Tuesday, Adam Schefter and Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Cornerback Rashad Fenton and tight end Blake Bell are also expected to go on the list Tuesday, joining six other players on the 53-man roster. At this stage, it's unknown whether Hill tested positive for the virus or if he was deemed a close contact of an infected person, but either way, he won't be a lock to be activated prior to Sunday's game against the Steelers. If neither Hill nor star tight end Travis Kelce -- who tested positive for the virus Monday -- is cleared to come off the list this week, quarterback Pat Mahomes would have few reliable weapons at his disposal.
Dec 16, 2021
Season-best catch total in win
Hill secured 12 of 13 targets for 148 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs' 34-28 overtime win over the Chargers on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Hill's catch total paced the Chiefs on the night and also served as a season-best figure for the explosive speedster. The reception that broke his previous high of 11 catches this season was a 14-yard grab on the game-winning drive in overtime that he made after spending some time on the sideline late in the fourth quarter and early in the extra period getting stretched out for what appeared to be lower-leg cramps. Hill's explosive outing included his first 100-yard effort since Week 4 and only his third of the season, a performance he'll aim to build on against an inconsistent Steelers secondary during a Week 16 home clash a week from Sunday.
Dec 12, 2021
Makes use of limited targets
Hill recorded four receptions on four targets for 76 yards in Sunday's 48-9 win over the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
The Chiefs' offense didn't need to do much in the game, as they were up 21-0 by early in the second quarter. Between game script and the fact that Hill briefly left the game, as reported by Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com, he was limited to his lowest target total since Week 2. Even given those factors, Hill beat the Raiders' defense for receptions of 38, 19 and 10 yards to account for the majority of his production. With the Chargers on tap in Week 15, Kansas City figures to be in a closer contest that should create more volume for Hill and the rest of the team's offensive weapons.
Dec 5, 2021
Low usage in win
Hill had two receptions (five targets) for 22 yards in Sunday's 22-9 win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Hill posted a rare dud in a matchup that the Chiefs dominated with its defense. Travis Kelce (three receptions for 27 yards) was also held in check, providing a rare instance in which both of Kansas City's superstars were non-factors. Perhaps the Chiefs' receiving duo will get back on track against the Raiders next Sunday, who do not possess the defensive personnel to hold both players down.
Nov 21, 2021
Solid showing against Dallas
Hill caught seven of 11 targets for 77 yards in Sunday's 19-9 win over the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
The meeting between two of the most dangerous passing games in the league was mostly a bust for a variety of reasons, but Hill at least did his part, leading both teams in catches, targets and yards on the afternoon. The speedster has a 30-291-3 line on 50 targets over his last four games despite the sluggish performance of the Kansas City offense as a whole, and he doesn't figure to lose any momentum over the team's Week 12 bye.
Nov 14, 2021
Bounces back with two scores
Hill had seven receptions (10 targets) for 83 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 41-14 win over the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Hill bounced back from a rough Week 9 performance against Green Bay by taking advantage of a prime matchup against the Raiders' secondary. Travis Kelce also produced a monster stat line (eight receptions for 119 yards), which is a positive sign for a Kansas City offense that has failed to fire on all cylinders this season. Hill will take on the Cowboys' defense in Week 11, who currently surrender the 21st-most fantasy points to opposing wideouts.
Nov 7, 2021
Ineffective on 11 targets
Hill caught four passes for 36 yards on 11 targets against Green Bay on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill's targets weren't especially useful for the Chiefs in the 13-7 win, but there was only so much he could do with Patrick Mahomes struggling badly yet again, completing just 20 of 37 attempts for 166 yards and one touchdown. The Chiefs have seen relatively friendly pass defenses the last three weeks (Green Bay, the Giants and Tennessee), yet Mahomes has just two touchdowns in that span and in each game averaged less than 6.0 yards per pass. Clearly there are foundational issues facing the Chiefs offense, and some sort of course correction might be necessary for them to break out of their slump. The good news for Hill is he's seen 38 targets in that span, and with his abilities that sort of usage will yield results eventually, even if the rest of the offense struggles. The Chiefs will probably give Hill another big workload when they head to Las Vegas to play the Raiders in Week 10.
Nov 1, 2021
Fuels narrow victory
Hill caught 12 of 18 targets for 94 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 20-17 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Hill was incorporated early and often, hauling in six passes during the first quarter, including a six-yard touchdown to cap Kansas City's second offensive drive. The speedster's long gain on the night was only 15 yards, but Hill still did ample damage through his bevy of looks underneath. In fact, he set new season highs in both receptions and targets, helping the Chiefs bounce back with a primetime victory. Next up for Hill is a matchup against a Packers defense without top cornerback Jaire Alexander (shoulder).
Oct 24, 2021
Produces little with nine targets
Hill recorded six receptions on nine targets for 49 yards in Sunday's 27-3 loss to the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Hill saw plenty of volume, though his three-game stretch of double-digit targets came to an end. He was limited to only two gains of more than 10 yards, one of which came from Chad Henne late in the game after Patrick Mahomes was forced to exit with a head injury. Hill continues to play through a quadriceps issue that may be limiting his explosiveness, as over his last three games he has failed to record a catch of more than 20 yards.
Oct 24, 2021
Active for Week 7
Hill (quadriceps) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Titans, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, but was able to work in a limited fashion Friday, setting the stage for Kansas City's top wideout to suit up versus Tennessee. In doing so, Hill has followed the same pattern he did leading up to Week 6 action, which resulting in him logging 47 of a possible 82 snaps on offense while catching nine of his 12 targets for 76 yards and a TD in his team's 31-13 win over Washington. In the absence of any in-game setbacks, Hill and TE Travis Kelce are slated to remain QB Patrick Mahomes' top passing targets Sunday.
Oct 22, 2021
Listed as questionable for Week 7
Hill (quad) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans after returning to a limited practice Friday.
ANALYSIS
Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Hill -- who didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday -- is likely to play this weekend, and we'd expect additional updates regarding the wideout's Week 7 status to arrive late Saturday or early Sunday, once the likes of Schefter and Ian Rapoport provide their weekly injury updates. In any case, Hill's availability will be confirmed before the first wave of games Sunday, with Kansas City kicking off against Tennessee at 1:00 ET.
Oct 22, 2021
Back at practice Friday
Hill (quad) returned to practice Friday, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill's return to the field after logging back-to-back absences Wednesday and Thursday bodes well for his availability for Sunday's game against the Titans. Friday's final injury report will reveal whether or not Kansas City's top wideout heads into the weekend carrying a Week 7 injury designation.
Oct 21, 2021
Not practicing again
Hill (quadriceps) won't participate in Thursday's practice, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Though he'll go down as a non-participant on the injury report for the second day in a row, Hill was at least present for Thursday's session, with Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star noting that the receiver jogged off to the side without a helmet during the portion that was available to the media. While the lack of activity in back-to-back practices is less than ideal, Hill followed the same pattern last week before ultimately suiting up in the Chiefs' 31-13 win over Washington and finishing with nine receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets. He may take a questionable designation into Sunday's game against the Titans even if he returns to practice Friday on a limited basis, but the expectation is that Hill will be cleared to play ahead of the 1 p.m. ET kickoff.
Oct 20, 2021
Not practicing Wednesday
Hill (quadriceps) won't practice Wednesday, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill headed into Week 6 action nursing a quad injury, but was able to suit up this past Sunday against Washington, en route to logging 47 of a possible 82 snaps on offense, while catching nine of his 12 targets for 76 yards and a TD. Hill did leave the contest for a spell when his quad flared up, thus leading to his decreased snap share, but was able to return, which suggests that his absence from Wednesday's practice could be maintenance-related rather than indicative of a setback that could impact his status for this weekend's game against the Titans.
Oct 17, 2021
Scores fifth touchdown
Hill recorded nine receptions on 12 targets for 76 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-13 win over Washington.
ANALYSIS
Hill entered Sunday questionable with a quad injury, and it appeared that he had aggravated the issue when he exited the game in the first half. That limited him to only two receptions for 25 yards through two quarters, but he returned to the game and came alive to put up 51 yards on seven catches to close the game. He also chipped in his fifth touchdown of the season when he reached the end zone on a two-yard reception late in the third quarter. Hill has now commanded double-digit targets in four of six games this season, which has translated to at least seven receptions in four contests.
Oct 17, 2021
Back in action Sunday
Hill (quad) has returned to Sunday's game against Washington, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill was deemed questionable to return with the quad injury early in the second half, but he quickly rejoined the team on the sideline and is now back on the field. The 27-year-old struggled to find space during the first half with two receptions for 25 yards.
Oct 17, 2021
Exits with quad issue
Hill was removed from Sunday's game against Washington with a quad injury.
ANALYSIS
Hill was questionable for Sunday's contest due to a quad injury and appears to have aggravated the issue during the first half, during which he caught two of four targets for 25 yards. However, the 27-year-old jogged out of the locker room shortly after halftime, per Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star, so he may be able to retake the field for the Chiefs.
Oct 17, 2021
Active for Week 6
Hill (quad) is listed as active for Sunday's game against Washington, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
ANALYSIS
After logging back-to-back DNPs Wednesday and Thursday, Hill returned to a limited practice Friday, setting the stage for him to be active Sunday. Barring any in-game setbacks, the playmaking wideout should continue to be a focal point of Kansas City's offense in Week 6. Five games into the 2021 season, Hill has recorded a team-high 37 catches (on 51 targets) for 516 yards and four TDs, as well as four carries for 45 yards.
Oct 17, 2021
Expected to play Sunday
Hill (quad), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Washington, is expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
In the wake of missing practice sessions Wednesday and Thursday, Hill was back on the field Friday. While he was limited Friday, he reportedly was moving well. Still, check his status before Kansas City kicks off against Washington at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday.
Oct 15, 2021
Practices Friday, listed as questionable
Hill (quad) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Washington after returning to a limited practice Friday.
ANALYSIS
In the wake of missing Wednesday and Thursday's sessions, Hill was back on the field Friday, with coach Andy Reid noting that the Chiefs' top wideout was "bouncing around pretty good" in his return to practice, per Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star. Moreover, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports that Reid seemed optimistic about Hill's Week 6 status. Fortunately for those planning to use Hill in fantasy lineups this week, Kansas City kicks off against Washington at 1:00 ET on Sunday.
Oct 15, 2021
Returns to practice Friday
Hill (quadriceps) was back on the practice field Friday, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Initially, Hill was believed to be dealing with a knee injury in the wake of the Chiefs' Week 5 loss to the Bills, but Wednesday's practice report instead revealed a quad issue. Coach Andy Reid clarified that Hill had a contusion, which sidelined him for the first two sessions of Week 6 prep. Returning to practice is a good sign that Hill has a chance to play Sunday at Washington, and his status ultimately may receive some clarity later Friday.
Oct 14, 2021
Will miss another practice
Hill (quad) won't practice Thursday, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Following back-to-back back practice absences, what Hill is able to do during Friday's session will be telling with regard to his availability for Sunday's game against Washington. If Kansas City's top wideout is out or limited this weekend, added Week 6 looks would be available for some combo of Demarcus Robinson, Byron Pringle and Josh Gordon.
Oct 13, 2021
Doesn't practice Wednesday
Hill (quad) won't practice Wednesday, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The issue causing Hill's absence is being referred to as a quad contusion rather than a minor knee injury as previously reported. Either way, earlier this week, Adam Schefter of ESPN indicated that Hill wasn't expected to miss time. A return to practice Thursday, in any capacity, on the part of Hill would no doubt support the notion that Kansas City's top receiver will be available for Sunday's game against Washington.
Oct 3, 2021
Burns Eagles for trio of TDs
Hill caught 11 of 12 targets for 186 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 42-30 win over the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Hill came just short of the end zone on a 36-yard catch in the first quarter, as he hit the pylon with his arm before going out of bounds but the ball was in his other hand. He had no trouble crossing the plane as the game went on, scoring a six-yard touchdown on the very next possession before adding touchdowns of 12 and 44 yards in the fourth quarter. Hill has two 11-catch games north of 180 yards and two quiet performances through four weeks, and his immense ceiling will keep Kansas City's top wide receiver a premier fantasy play in Week 5 despite a tough matchup against the Bills.
Sep 26, 2021
Another lackluster performance
Hill secured five of seven targets for 56 yards and rushed once for 11 yards in the Chiefs' 30-24 loss to the Chargers on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
ANALYSIS
It was mostly a rough go of it for the superstar speedster for the second consecutive week, but Hill's final line at least was an improvement over the 29 total yards he garnered Week 2 against the Ravens. His fumble was costly as well, even though it came late in the first quarter, as it occurred at the Chargers' 14-yard line following an eight-yard catch and led to Los Angeles' first touchdown of the day. Hill will look to bounce back from his pair of duds when he and the Chiefs travel to Philadelphia for a Week 4 battle against the Eagles.
Sep 20, 2021
Held in check by opponent
Hill had just three receptions (four targets) for 14 yards in Sunday's 36-35 loss to the Ravens. He did add 15 yards on one carry.
ANALYSIS
The Ravens came into this contest with a clear gameplan to stop Hill from beating them deep by constantly doubling the wideout, and they succeeded in that endeavor. They weren't able to stop Patrick Mahomes or the rest of Kansas City's receivers for the majority of the contest, but their plan ended up thwarting Hill's fantasy managers' plans of a repeat monster performance. The speedster will not be held in check like this every week so long as Mahomes is under center, so chalk this up to a rare dud and roll Hill out there with confidence against the Chargers next Sunday.
Sep 12, 2021
Massive numbers in Week 1 win
Hill caught 11 of 15 targets for 197 yards and a touchdown and gained four yards on his only carry in Sunday's 33-29 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Kansas City's offense only managed 10 points in the first half, but the unit erupted after intermission, with Hill's 75-yard TD early in the fourth quarter giving his team their first lead of the afternoon. Patrick Mahomes leaned heavily on his two favorite options -- Hill and Travis Kelce -- in the comeback, with no other K.C. player getting more than three targets. That narrow tree bodes very well for Hill's production in Week 2, even on the road against the Ravens.
Aug 27, 2021
Scores on deep ball
Hill caught his only target for a 35-yard touchdown in Friday night's 28-25 preseason win over the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Hill sped past his man at the line and hauled in a deep shot from quarterback Patrick Mahomes to put the Chiefs ahead less than three minutes into the game. In doing so, the game-breaking wideout showed he's fully ready for the regular season, as he'll now turn his attention toward Week 1's matchup against the Browns.
Aug 23, 2021
Practicing Monday
Hill (hamstring) is slated to practice Monday, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill didn't play in Friday's preseason game versus the Cardinals, but at the time the wideout's absence was portrayed as precautionary. Hill's return to practice Monday underscores that notion and while he's a candidate to sit out Kansas City's preseason finale along with other key skill players, the speedster's Week 1 availability is currently not in question.
Aug 20, 2021
Tending to hamstring issue
Hill didn't play in Friday's preseason win at Arizona due to a hamstring injury, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill was on the field during pregame warmups but didn't join the first-team offense on the first snap of the contest. Afterward, the reason for his absence was revealed, but the Chiefs considered the decision a precautionary measure. With Patrick Mahomes getting a fair amount of run in the team's first two exhibitions, he and the rest of the key skill-position players likely will take a seat next Friday against the Vikings, meaning Hill may not play in an actual game until Week 1.
Aug 24, 2020
Back on the field
Hill (hamstring) returned to practice Monday, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The report notes that Hill didn't participate in team drills, but the speedy wideout's participation, in any capacity, confirms that his hamstring issue wasn't a major one. Also on the field Monday was Sammy Watkins, marking the first time since early in camp that the duo has practiced together.
Aug 21, 2020
Should be back soon
Coach Andy Reid is downplaying Hill's hamstring injury, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports. "It's not a big tear or anything like that," Reid noted after Hill missed practice Friday.
ANALYSIS
In any case, Reid expects Hill back at practice within a few days and if that holds true, then the speedy pass-catcher will have plenty of time to ready himself for Kansas City's' Sept. 10 season-opener against the Texans.
Aug 20, 2020
Nursing minor strain
Hill is dealing with a minor hamstring strain, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill was forced to exit Thursday's practice early due to the issue, but it doesn't look as though his availability for Week 1 is in any sort of danger. If the Chiefs opt to take a cautious approach to Hill's recovery and hold him out of practices for an extended period, however, Sammy Watkins and Mecole Hardman would stand to benefit from increased first-team reps.
Aug 20, 2020
Suffers hamstring injury
Hill was forced out of Thursday's practice with a hamstring injury, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
ANALYSIS
We'll consider the speedy wideout day-to-day for now and with Sammy Watkins tending to a groin strain, Mecole Hardman figures to see added practice reps/looks in the short-term
Aug 17, 2020
Still speeding along
Hill could be set for a career year as he heads into his 2020 contract season, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill proved he hasn't lost a step by taking down speedy teammate Mecole Hardman in a 40-yard dash race earlier in camp. A new contract on the horizon this offseason could serve as motivation for Hill, who finished out 2019 with 58 grabs for 860 yards and seven touchdowns over 12 games, to churn out one of the best of his career. He still has star quarterback Patrick Mahomes at the helm, so there's little reason to anticipate any drop off from Cheetah, who checks in as one of the top fantasy wideouts.
Feb 2, 2020
Makes pivotal grab in SB LIV win
Hill secured nine of 16 targets for 105 yards during the Chiefs' 31-20 win over the 49ers in Super LIV on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The Chiefs unsurprisingly found it challenging to hit on many downfield routes versus the 49ers' elite secondary, but the one time Hill got loose, it essentially changed the dynamic of the contest. Down 20-10 and facing a 3rd-and-15 at their own 35-yard line, Patrick Mahomes and Hill connected on a 44-yard bomb that placed the ball at the 49ers' 21-yard line. Four plays later, Mahomes hit Travis Kelce with a one-yard touchdown toss that began the comeback in earnest. The big play aside, Hill played more of a role in the short and intermediate passing game than customary, but it was enough for him to generate game-high reception and receiving yardage tallies. Hill is signed through the 2022 season, although it's worth noting he's scheduled to carry a cap hit of $17.6 million in 2020 under the current terms of his deal.
Jan 19, 2020
Scores twice in win over Titans
Hill caught five of seven targets for 67 yards and two touchdowns while adding a seven-yard carry in Sunday's 35-24 win over the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Hill didn't make many explosive plays and finished averaging a middling 13.5 yards per catch. He made up for his lack of yardage by doing damage in the red zone, including touchdown grabs of eight and 20 yards in the first half. Hill fared much better in this one than he did in his previous outing, and he'll look to make a similar impact in the Super Bowl against either the 49ers or the Packers.
Jan 12, 2020
Just three catches, muffs punt
Hill caught three of four targets for 41 receiving yards and lost one fumble during Sunday's 51-31 divisional round win against the Texans.
ANALYSIS
The four-time Pro Bowler put his defense into a precarious situation late in the first quarter, muffing a Bryan Anger punt inside his own 10-yard line and setting up Houston for a touchdown two plays later to extended its lead to 21-0. Hill would later have to briefly exit the game after absorbing a hard hit from Texans safety Justin Reid, but he would return a drive later and finish out the contest. In addition to his 20-yard catch that helped the Chiefs tally a go-ahead TD shortly before the half, Hill also drew a pass interference call on Bradley Roby in the third quarter to help situate KC inside the red zone for another score at the 4:39 mark. His contributions of late have not been clearly reflected on the stat sheet, as Hill has been held under 73 receiving yards for seven consecutive games heading into a divisional round matchup against a Tennessee defense that allowed just one Raven to exceed 60 receiving yards Saturday during a 28-12 win over Baltimore.
Nov 20, 2019
Could be back after bye
Hill's hamstring injury is considered minor, with the Chiefs hoping he'll be ready to play after a Week 12 bye, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill reportedly wanted to re-enter Monday's 24-17 win over the Chargers, but the Chiefs held him out for the rest of the game after he limped off the field in the first quarter. It sounds like an MRI brought good news, confirming that Hill's hamstring strain isn't too severe. The Chiefs will come out of their bye to host the Raiders in Week 13, with the Dec. 1 matchup potentially determining which team sits atop the AFC West heading into the final quarter of the season.
Oct 13, 2019
Rotating in Sunday
The Chiefs will 'rotate in' Hill (shoulder) for Sunday's game against the Texans, Fox's Jay Glazer said on their Sunday morning pregame show.
ANALYSIS
Glazer went on to discuss how Hill's injury was unique, as the fractured clavicle was directed inward towards his lungs and heart, which is the opposite of most similar fractures.
Oct 13, 2019
Making return Sunday
Hill (shoulder) is active for Sunday's game against the Texans, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The Chiefs cleared Hill to return from a four-game absence after his shoulder checked out fine following a pregame workout, which was preceded by three limited practice sessions earlier in the week. While Kansas City will get one of its top weapons in the passing attack back Sunday, the extent of Hill's role coming off the sternoclavicular injury isn't fully known. At the very least, Hill's return should help compensate for the loss of fellow starting receiver Sammy Watkins (hamstring), who is sitting out for the first time this season.
Oct 13, 2019
Slated to return Sunday
Hill (shoulder) went through a pregame warmup and is expected to suit up Sunday against the Texans, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill put in limited practices during Week 6 prep after getting cleared from his sternoclavicular joint injury, putting him into a position to return. That said, the Chiefs wanted him to get through the aforementioned workout Sunday because he tended to some lingering discomfort as he ramped up his workload. Hill's snap count is to be determined, especially with another game on tap Thursday in Denver, but Patrick Mahomes nonetheless will have his top wideout at his disposal for the first time since Week 1.
Oct 13, 2019
Trending toward availability
Hill (shoulder), who is listed as questionable and was previously labeled as a game-time decision for Sunday's tilt with the Texans, is trending toward playing, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Sidelined since Sept. 8 with the sternoclavicular injury he suffered in the season-opening win over Jacksonville, Hill returned to practice in limited fashion Wednesday through Friday. Though he's been cleared from the injury, Hill still experienced some residual soreness during practices, so he'll be put through a pregame workout as a final test before the Chiefs render a verdict on his status. Official word on Hill's availability (or lack thereof) will come 90 minutes before the 1 p.m. EDT kickoff, when the Chiefs will release their inactive list. Even if Hill suits up, there's a chance his role could be limited to some degree coming off a five-week absence.
Oct 11, 2019
Officially listed as questionable
Hill (shoulder) was officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans after practicing in a limited fashion all week.
ANALYSIS
Per BJ Kissel of the team's official site, coach Andy Reid noted that the wideout be a game-time decision Sunday. Fortunately for those considering using the explosive playmaker in Week 6 fantasy lineups, the Chiefs kick off at 1:00 ET.
Oct 11, 2019
Will be game-time call
Coach Andy Reid termed Hill (shoulder) a game-time decision for Sunday's contest against the Texans, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
An official game designation has yet to be released, but it appears Hill is questionable to play for the first time since Week 1, when he sustained a sternoclavicular joint injury. Assuming he returns Sunday, he likely won't have to compete for reps with Sammy Watkins, who is doubtful to suit up this weekend due to a hamstring injury.
Oct 9, 2019
Logs another limited practice
Hill (shoulder) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Per Nate Taylor of The Athletic, Hill didn't work during any contact drills last week, but coach Andy Reid is optimistic that the playmaking wideout will practice in full at some point later this week. If that happens, Hill will have a good shot to play Sunday against the Texans.
Oct 7, 2019
Could practice fully this week
Coach Andy Reid said Monday he's optimistic Hill (shoulder) will practice fully sometime this week, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Reid also confirmed that the 25-year-old didn't take part in any contract drills while practicing on a limited basis last week. Hill figures to have a good chance of returning from his four-game absence if he's cleared for full practice participation. More information should be available once the Chiefs retake the practice field Wednesday.
Oct 4, 2019
Not ready for game action
Coach Andy Reid ruled Hill (shoulder) out for Sunday's game against the Colts, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Hill's ability to practice in limited fashion Wednesday through Friday offered hope of a potential return Sunday, but his absence will extend to four games while the Chiefs give him more time to work back from the sternoclavicular injury. If Hill can advance to full participation in practice at some point next week, he should have a good chance at returning to action for the Chiefs' Oct. 13 matchup with the Texans.
Oct 3, 2019
Logs another limited practice
Hill (shoulder) remained limited at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Per Adam Teicher of ESPN.com, the Chiefs don't seem inclined to rush Hill back into action this weekend against the Colts, with coach Andy Reid so far noncommittal about the wideout's availability for the contest. We'll revisit Hill's status Friday, but it seems likely he'll be listed as questionable for Sunday night's 8:20 ET kickoff.
Oct 2, 2019
Returns to limited practice
Hill (shoulder) was officially limited at practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Hill "got a good report on his most recent shoulder checkup," so the Chiefs elected to see how he looked at practice Wednesday. Schefter adds that the team "will not rush (Hill) back," so the wideout's Week 5 status remains cloudy, but it's obvious that the Hill has taken a big step in his recovery and the playmaker's return to game action doesn't seem far off.

Returns to practice
Hill (shoulder) will return to practice Wednesday, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Per the report, coach Andy Reid didn't specify how much work Hill would see in his return to practice or whether it's possible that the wideout will play Sunday against the Colts, but this is nonetheless a big step forward for Hill, who last suited up in Week 1.

Likely out Week 5
Hill (shoulder) will undergo additional testing Monday but isn't expected to be ready to play Week 5 against the Colts, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Shortly after sustaining the sternoclavicular injury in the season opener Sept. 8, Hill was handed an estimated recovery timeline of around 4-to-6 weeks. The short end of that timetable will arrive next weekend, and though Hill was seen running routes on the field Sunday, the Chiefs apparently aren't convinced he's far enough along in the recovery process to make it back to action next weekend. That being said, the team will see how the imaging on Hill's shoulder looks Monday before determining his availability for Week 5 and beyond. With the Chiefs entering Sunday's game against the Lions at 3-0 and multiple receivers having stepped up in his absence, Hill probably won't be rushed back at less than full health.

Spotted running routes
Hill (shoulder), who is inactive for Sunday's game against the Lions, was spotted running routes on the field during pregame warmups, James Palmer of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Now three weeks removed from suffering a collarbone injury in the Chiefs' season-opening win over the Jaguars, Hill seems to be making positive progress in his recovery. The Chiefs intend to re-evaluate him Monday, at which time the team should have a better idea regarding his potential to play Week 5 against the Colts.

Multi-phase recovery on tap
Hill's return date will be determined by how he progresses through each phase of his recovery from a sternoclavicular joint injury, Terez A. Paylor of Yahoo Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
The exact number of phases is unknown, which leaves him with a return timetable "ranging from missing a few games to IR/designated to return," per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. While Hill is on the mend, the Chiefs will turn to Sammy Watkins as the team's top wide receiver, with the quartet of Demarcus Robinson, Mecole Hardman, Byron Pringle and De'Anthony Thomas rounding out the depth chart.

Slated to miss a few weeks
Though Hill won't require surgery on the collarbone/shoulder injury he suffered Sunday, he "will miss a few weeks," Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Given that Hill was sent to the hospital after sustaining a nasty sounding sternoclavicular joint injury, this news does not come as a big surprise. The Chiefs will no doubt miss Hill's explosive playmaking ability, with his absence slated to present added opportunities for Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson.

Suffers sternoclavicular joint injury
Hill -- who was transported to the hospital after suffering a shoulder injury Sunday -- is being treated to "reduce the dislocation or the injury," Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
That info comes via Chiefs head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder, who described Hill's issue as "a sternoclavicular joint injury." The team didn't provide an update or timetable beyond that, but this has the sound of an injury that could cost Hill some time. If that's the case, Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson would be in line to see added opportunities in the Chiefs offense alongside Sammy Watkins.

Shoulder issue led to hospital trip
Per BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site, Hill suffered a shoulder injury during Sunday's game against the Jaguars that led to the wideout going "to a local hospital to get it treated by their trauma department."
ANALYSIS
The report doesn't provide any specifics beyond that or a timetable for Hill's return, but this sounds like something that could cost him some time. In such a scenario, Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson would figure to see added opportunities in the Kansas City offense alongside Sammy Watkins.

Won't return to Sunday's game
Hill will not return to Sunday's game against the Jaguars after suffering a shoulder injury.
ANALYSIS
Prior to his exit, Hill logged two catches for 16 yards. In his absence, look for Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson to see added opportunities alongside Sammy Watkins.

Shoulder injury
Hill is listed as questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Jaguars due to a shoulder injury.
ANALYSIS
If Hill is forced to miss any time, added opportunities behind fellow starter Sammy Watkins would be available for Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson.
