It’s been a fun two weeks in college football. We’re not quite at a full slate of conference games, but there are many conference games in Week 3, including a bunch of intriguing SEC matchups.
In addition to some exciting SEC games, there are a few non-conference top-25 matchups on the schedule. While this won’t affect teams’ chances of winning their conference, these games will certainly play a factor in the College Football Playoffs rankings.
Therefore, let’s get right to it. Below, I’ve added three best bets that you’ll want to consider with their corresponding college football odds for Week 3.
Wisconsin Badgers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide (-20.5)
Saturday, September 13, 2025 – 12:00 PM EDT
The Alabama Crimson Tide looked completely unprepared against the Florida State Seminoles in Week 1 after a 31-17 loss on the road. However, Alabama responded in Week 2 with a 73-0 win over UL-Monroe.
There’s no denying how talented this Alabama squad is and how it can certainly perform better than that Week 1 showing.
Meanwhile, Wisconsin’s defense has limited Miami-OH and Middle Tennessee State to 10 points overall. They’ve given up about a point per quarter at this rate. But Alabama has already played a top-25 opponent. Wisconsin hasn’t.
Alabama should be much more prepared for this game. It’s unlikely the Badgers will do enough on offense to compete against Alabama. Alabama needs to win this game by a lot to start getting some respect back.
Expert Pick: Alabama -20.5 (-112) at Caesars (check our Caesars Review)
Florida Gators vs. LSU Tigers (-9.5)
Saturday, September 13, 2025 – 07:30 PM EDT
The Florida Gators are sticking with Billy Napier throughout the rest of the season. The Florida Athletic Department believes Florida has shown signs of improvement with Napier. However, they’ve fired coaches who have done much better in this amount of time than Napier.
Florida ultimately lost to South Florida last weekend, 18-16. The offense failed to impress, despite having DJ Lagway at quarterback.
On the other hand, LSU already has a win over Clemson. The defense looks like a true LSU defense right now. However, the offense isn’t executing well enough.
We’ve seen Garrett Nussmeier play much better than in his first two games this season. Against Florida, it won’t get easier, but expect Joe Sloan and the LSU offense to make some fun playcalls and execute better at home against the slumping Gators.
Expert Pick: LSU -9.5 (-115) at Caesars
Vanderbilt vs. South Carolina (-5.5)
Saturday, September 13, 2025 – 07:45 PM EDT
Diego Pavia demands some respect!
Vanderbilt is 2-0 to start the season after a convincing 44-20 win on the road against Virginia Tech. The Commadores were actually underdogs in that game and won by 24.
So far, the secondary is holding up, and the defensive line looks to be above average. I’m not sure if Vanderbilt will be able to run all over South Carolina, but there’s reason to believe Pavia will have time in the pocket to make a good decision.
Plus, no matter how good a defensive line is, it’s super hard to get a guy like Pavia on the ground. So far, Vanderbilt looks to have some really good playmakers beyond just Pavia.
I’ll take my chances with Vanderbilt at +5.5. All the talk is about LaNorris Sellers, but what about Pavia? He’s been more impressive throughout his career.
Expert Pick: Vanderbilt +5.5 (-110) at Caesars
