The opening week of the season kicks off in only a few days, so now is as good a time as any to reveal our college football player props Week 0.
Let’s check out Saturday’s slate of games and cherry-pick three college football players who have props that can be exploited at the top-rated sportsbooks.Â
Carson Hansen (-110): Player to Score a Touchdown
Iowa State vs. Kansas State, August 23, 2025, 12:00 PM EDT
There are only five games on the soft opening week of college football, but only one that might have interest beyond the local community and alumni. I am speaking of the international spectacle being held in Dublin, Ireland, between No. 22 Iowa State and No. 17 Kansas State.
We can debate the merits of backing the Cyclones as 3-point underdogs or laying the field goal with the Wildcats, but one thing we should be able to agree upon is Iowa State running back Carson Hansen breaking the plane of the end zone.
Last year, Hansen was the Cyclones’ lead back and had 13 rushing and two receiving touchdowns in 14 games, which means he averaged over a TD per contest.
Last year, he was shut out of the end zone by Kansas State and gained 58 yards on 13 carries. However, now the highly touted junior has experience to build on and is expected to get the lion’s share of the carries, with Abu Sama III designated as a backup rather than a platoon mate in the backfield.

Jalon Daniels (-110): O/U 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
Fresno State vs. Kansas, August 23, 2025, 06:30 PM EDT
Jalon Daniels, the sixth-year senior, is coming off a disappointing season in which he tossed 14 touchdowns with 12 picks for 2,454 yards.
I’m not sure how much better Daniels will be this season. He will be facing an opening week foe in Fresno that has an exciting new head coach in Matt Entz, who won multiple FCS championships with North Dakota State.
Fresno State’s defense is supposed to be vastly improved, and the pressure they are expected to generate will be a problem throughout the game for Daniels. We should also note that there has been a veritable musical chairs at the offensive positions for Kansas, so Daniels will need time to develop chemistry with his new weapons.
I believe this is a good spot to fade Daniels, and if you haven’t figured it out, the Bulldogs getting 12.5 points feels like the right side as well.
Rocco Becht (+230): Player to Score a Touchdown
Iowa State vs. Kansas State, August 23, 2025, 12:00 PM EDT
Redshirt junior quarterback Rocco Becht is coming off a decent season in which he tossed 25 TD passes, was intercepted nine times, and threw for over 3,500 yards. He also scored eight rushing touchdowns, and he might just find the Promised Land once again against the Wildcats.
Let’s understand that Becht’s two chief targets from last season, Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel, were both drafted by the Texans, leaving Becht without his highly skilled twin terrors. Iowa State coach Matt Campbell is known for three tight end sets when without the luxury of having two speed merchants on the wings.
I say that Campbell will allow Becht to audible at the line and allow him to bootleg more often than he is accustomed to doing. The junior signal-caller had eight rushing touchdowns last year, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he found the end zone in this game.
