In recent weeks, we’ve been focusing on same-game parlays for your college football player props. Week 12 is going to shake things up; instead of trying to disguise the sharpness of our picks by leaning on famous names and the Over, we’re going straight to the NCAAF player props page here at OddsTrader and taking the three juiciest props on display – each with a projected edge higher than 30% in terms of expected value.
NCAAF Prop Bets Week 12 At-a-Glance
Now that we’re going for the biggest edges on the board – at least among the freely available ones for our Week 12 NCAAF prop bets – we need to treat these wagers with even more care than usual, especially when it comes to the tastiest of the bunch:
Louisville’s Keyjuan Brown Under 2.5 Receptions (-122)
Clemson Tigers vs. Louisville Cardinals – Friday, November 14, 7:30 PM ET
This isn’t the kind of player prop regular football fans make. We’re dealing with the nominal No. 3 tailback on the Cardinals (7-2 SU, 3-6 ATS), although Brown has moved up to No. 2 this year because of injuries elsewhere on the depth chart. Even then, we’re taking the Under on Brown’s receptions, not even his rushing yards. Only sharps do that kind of thing.
Having said that, Louisville is favored by three points over Clemson as we go to press, and reports suggest the Tigers are the preferred sharp choice, so maybe we can smuggle through this incredibly tasty Keyjuan Brown prop (plus-33.6% projected EV) as part of a same-game parlay. Or maybe you should save this one for sharp-friendly sportsbooks only.
UCLA’s Jalen Berger to Score a Touchdown (+750)
UCLA Bruins vs. Ohio State Buckeyes – Saturday, November 15, 7:30 PM ET
The Bruins (3-6 SU and ATS) are 32.5-point road dogs for Saturday’s tilt with top-ranked Ohio State, so we’re definitely not on the public side here – and Berger (plus-33.0% EV) is just one of several UCLA players worth considering for this touchdown prop, alongside QB Nico Iamaleava (plus-27.1%), RB Jaivian Thomas (plus-25.9%) and RB Anthony Woods (plus-20.6%).
Running backs like Jalen Berger don’t have the star power they used to, and neither does UCLA, so even if this is a marquee Big Ten battle on NBC, don’t go too heavy with your bet sizes while you’re trying to exploit these monster edges. Our sources tell us the sharps are on Ohio State, so at least we’ve got that disguise going for us.
UConn’s Skyler Bell to Score First Touchdown (+425)
Air Force Falcons vs. Connecticut Huskies – Saturday, November 15, 12:00 PM ET
Is anyone betting on UConn (7-3 SU, 5-3-2 ATS) these days? Maybe a few; the Huskies are 7-point favorites this week, and they sit just behind UCLA outside the Top 25 teams on the public money charts we’re looking at – well ahead of Louisville. But the important thing for our purposes is that plus-31.0% EV we’re getting on Skyler Bell to score the first touchdown.
Bell also happens to lead players from all independent teams with 85 receptions for 1,081 yards and 13 touchdowns – yes, even more than anyone from Notre Dame, let alone Washington State or Oregon State. There isn’t really a sharp choice between UConn and Air Force, and there aren’t too many other Huskies props worth considering, so don’t bother trying to package this particular Bell prop in a same-game parlay.
