With today’s slate, I’ve identified three different valuable bets. We’re taking one moneyline play and two unders since there are so many great pitchers on the slate. Below, you’ll see I went more in-depth on each play so you understand exactly what I’m thinking with each bet.

Guardians Moneyline (-120) at Caesars
The Cleveland Guardians will pitch Parker Messick tonight. The left-hander held his first 26 batters to a .040 ISO and woBA of .281 with only 3.8% of walks. Meanwhile, he’ll battle a Rays projected lineup that has hit a .299 wOBA against lefties over the last 30 days. That same lineup has struck out close to 30% of the time against lefties.
On the flip side, it’ll be Shane Baz for the Rays. Baz is a right-hander who has allowed a .325 ISO and wOBA of .455 against his last 88 batters faced. He’s only thrown 71.8 pitches per start over the last month. Therefore, I’ll trust the Guardians more in this spot.
Marlins vs. Braves Under 8 (-110) at Caesars
Hurston Waldrep has become one of the best young pitchers in the game. The young rookie right-hander has allowed a .024 ISO and wOBA of .185 to his first 89 batters faced this season. He’s also induced close to 51% of grounders and has struck out 27% of hitters this season. He’ll take on a Marlins team that isn’t patient at the plate against righties. Those guys have also collectively hit an average wOBA of .322, which is nothing special.
Meanwhile, Waldrep will compete against Sandy Alcantara of the Miami Marlins. Alcantara had a bad stretch earlier in the season, but he’s come around ever since. He’s held his last 126 batters to a .132 ISO and wOBA of .297. The Braves’ offense won’t show much power against Alcantara. Let’s back the Under.
Giants vs. Cubs Under 8 (-130) at BetMGM
The San Francisco Giants have really struggled to hit lefties over the last month. The projected lineup has added a .178 ISO and wOBA of .285 against lefties during that stretch. Tonight, they’ll take on Matthew Boyd of the Cubs, who has limited his last 118 batters to a .135 ISO and wOBA of .288. Boyd has resurrected his career with the Cubs and has looked super consistent.
Conversely, he’ll duel it out against Justin Verlander of the San Francisco Giants. Verlander isn’t the same pitcher he used to be. However, he’s still struck out close to 26% of batters and has allowed a .123 ISO and wOBA of .298 over the last month. That’s certainly good enough when facing a Cubs’ offense that has hit a .132 ISO and wOBA of .294 against righties over the last month. The Under is the play in this game as well.
