NBA All-Star Game Picks

Anthony Edwards Minnesota Timberwolves

We have isolated three NBA All-Star Game picks on Sunday night’s revamped All-Star format. It features a round-robin format with two teams from the USA (USA Stars and USA Stripes) and one team comprised of players from all around the globe (Team World).

Each USA squad will consist of eight players, whereas Team World will have nine. Each game is only 12 minutes, and the schedule is as follows:

  • Game 1: Stars vs. World
  • Game 2: Stripes vs. Game 1 Winner
  • Game 3: Stripes vs. Game 1 Loser
  • Game 4: Championship

Without further ado, let’s shop for the sharpest lines at all of the best sportsbooks found right here at OddsTrader.

NBA All-Star Game Spread Pick

USA Stars vs. Team World

February 15, 05:35 PM ET

Let’s understand that these teams will employ the old “fake it ‘til you make it” strategy. Therefore, we don’t have much to go on except the rosters. And for my money, I’ll take Team World’s roster over the other two.

The USA Stars team is rumored to be the weakest of the three teams, and considering we are only laying 2 ½ points against them, it’s a good bet that after a dozen minutes, Team World will win by three points or more.

Team World is much too big and will dominate in the paint with Nikola Jokic and Giannis (assuming he plays), while Luka Doncic will be setting the pace and flow of the game. Yes, the game is only 12 minutes, but if the international players want to prove they are every bit as good as, if not better than, the USA, then this is the opportune time.

Expert Pick: Team World -2.5 (-120) at Bovada

NBA All-Star Game Total Pick

USA Stars vs. Team World

February 15, 05:35 PM ET

It is no secret that All-Star games are all offense and no defense. In 2023, Team LeBron and Team Giannis combined for a whopping 359 points.

However, this new format should bring down the temperature just a bit, as there is a measure of international pride involved with several players on this Team World roster who play defense quite well.

The total on this 12-minute game is 81 ½, which equals 326 over a normal 48-minute game. We must understand that players begin to get their offensive groove on after the first quarter, but in this case, the entire game is the opening quarter.

There is very little time for players to find their rhythm, so let’s go low in this spot.

Expert Pick: Under 81.5 at Bovada

NBA All-Star Game Moneyline Pick

USA Stars vs. Team World

February 15, 05:00 PM ET

The odds of winning the All-Star tournament are as follows:

  • USA Stripes (+155)
  • Team World (+160)
  • Team Stars (+200)

Below is the nine-member Team World roster:

  • Giannis Antetokounmpo (GRE, Milwaukee Bucks)
  • Luka Dončić (SVN, Los Angeles Lakers)
  • Nikola Jokić (SRB, Denver Nuggets)
  • Victor Wembanyama (FRA, San Antonio Spurs)
  • Deni Avdija (ISR, Portland Trail Blazers)
  • Jamal Murray (CAN, Denver Nuggets)
  • Alperen Şengün (TUR, Houston Rockets)
  • Pascal Siakam (CMR, Indiana Pacers)
  • Karl-Anthony Towns (DOM, New York Knicks)

We should note that Alperen Şengün has been named a replacement for the injured reigning MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. While we would obviously prefer to have SGA in our lineup, this roster is better than either USA Stripes or USA Stars.

The +160 odds are tempting enough for us to take a moneyline flier on the international players to humble the men from the States.

Expert Pick: Team World to Win the Tournament (+160) at Bovada

Place Your NBA All-Star Bets Right Away

The lines and odds on my NBA All-Star picks will not remain stagnant forever. Moneylines, point spreads, and totals are dynamic, which means the lines on these All-Star wagers you see here may not be around by gametime.

Therefore, it is important that you get the sharpest line available, and the only way to do that is to get down immediately on the games and make sure you have an active account.

That’s right, make certain your account is funded, and perhaps get accounts at two or more sportsbooks so you can compare the numbers. Make sure to get down at a place you trust and at the best lines or odds available.
