The NFL Offensive Player of the Year is usually given to the league’s most productive player, who changes games with his production.
Don’t get it twisted, either. The offensive MVP is usually awarded to a quarterback. But the Offensive Player of the Year hasn’t been won by a quarterback since 2018. This market often values elite offensive weapons on playoff teams.
Who will it be this year?

NFL OPOY: Players to Watch
Saquon Barkley (+650)
Saquon Barkley is coming off an insane season with the Philadelphia Eagles.
In his first year with Philadelphia, he rushed 345 times for 2,005 yards. He also added 13 touchdowns and ran for 5.8 yards a carry.
Ultimately, Jalen Hurts will steal some of his touchdowns around the goalline. But Barkley still added the most carries in the NFL and gained the most yardage in the NFL last year.
That said, Barkley has a history of injuries, and it’s often challenging for running backs to replicate their previous success due to the effects of wear and tear. While a big season is still in front of Barkley, don’t expect him to replicate last year’s results.
Ja’Marr Chase (+800)
Ja’Marr Chase added 1,708 yards receiving and played in all 17 games last year. The dominant wide receiver scored 17 receiving touchdowns last season.
After watching the Bengals’ defense in the preseason and over the last couple of seasons, it is likely that the Bengals will be involved in many shootouts. That should help Chase pad his stats. He’ll likely win this award, especially if the Bengals are able to pull out wins in some of the close games.
Chase has reached over 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first four seasons in the league. With Burrow under center, as long as Chase stays healthy, he’s good for at least 1,000 yards. That’s his floor. His ceiling is what he did last year, and then some.
Justin Jefferson (+1200)
Justin Jefferson has already played with multiple quarterbacks throughout his tenure with the Ravens. Like Chase, he’s been able to record at least 1,000 yards receiving every year, even in 2023 when he played only ten games.
However, this will be his first true season with a young quarterback with no experience. So that’s where things get a little tricky.
J.J. McCarthy isn’t Kirk Cousins or Sam Darnold. He’s unproven. Therefore, Jefferson at +1200 isn’t good enough.
Jahmyr Gibbs (+1300)
Jahmyr Gibbs also has some question marks. With Ben Johnson out of the picture, the Lions’ offense can certainly decline this season.
Gibbs is one of the best playmakers in the game, but it’ll be interesting to see how the Lions’ offense performs. Plus, don’t forget that he shares carries with David Montgomery, who will probably steal many touchdowns from Gibbs. That certainly won’t help, either.
Place Your 2026 NFL Offensive Player of the Year Bet Today!
The 2026 NFL Offensive Player of the Year will be intriguing down the stretch. But you will want to get in on the action before the season begins.
For example, if you like Ja’Marr Chase at +800 odds and he has a three-touchdown game in Week 1, his odds will be way lower, and your return would be much lower as a result.
Chase is my pick. But no matter who you like, make sure to join a new sportsbook and get in on the action!
