There is no bigger event in sports betting each year than the Super Bowl, and this year’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots will be no exception.

Coin Toss Bet: Heads or Tails?
Even before the opening kickoff, you can get in tons of bets on the national anthem, the pregame show with Green Day, which team’s coach will be shown first on the broadcast, if any player will cry during the anthem, etc.
However, the classic first bet in the Super Bowl is the opening coin toss.
Heads or tails? It’s a 50/50 shot, which is why it’s crazy if any sportsbook isn’t offering even odds for each side. The best we found so far was -101 for both heads and tails at BetOnline, so that looks to be the place to go if you can’t find +100.
If you can still find a coin in your belongings in 2026, maybe flip one yourself and bet with that for fun. But we’re going with “tails never fails” except for the near 50% of the time it does. You could also bet on which team will win the coin toss, but again, when it’s a 50/50 proposition, you’d be nuts to take -105 odds or worse on such a deal.
Keep it simple and go with tails.

Gatorade Color Bet: Blue for All?
A tradition dating back to Bill Parcells with the Giants, the Super Bowl-winning coach gets doused with Gatorade or some other liquid at the end of the game. You can bet on the primary color that the winner will be doused in, and the options include the following, with odds from Heritage Sports:
- Orange (+240)
- Blue (+250)
- Yellow/Green/Lime (+274)
- Purple (+500)
- Clear/Water (+700)
- Red/Pink (+1400)
There might be some dark horse value on red/pink should the Patriots pull off the upset, since they do have some red in their colors. It’s been a popular choice in recent years, with the Kansas City Chiefs usually in these Super Bowls.
But with the Seahawks and Patriots as this year’s matchup, the safe pick is for blue. Both teams have a predominant shade of blue in their team colors, so that’s the smartest pick that works for either winner.

Trickery: Flea Flicker Prop
At Bovada, there’s an interesting game prop for Super Bowl LX where you can bet on whether there will be a flea flicker attempt in the game from one of the offenses.

- No (-295)
There’s great value here for the yes market.
In two of their biggest games this season, the Patriots, with Josh McDaniels, have pulled out a flea flicker pass where the running back fakes a carry before pitching the ball back to the quarterback, who will usually look for a deep throw.
The Patriots did this against Buffalo in their rematch late in the season, and a flea flicker was one of their only good plays in Denver in the second half of the AFC Championship Game before the snow got heavier.
With the team looking for any avenue to trick the No. 1 scoring defense, don’t be surprised if they pull one out, and it’s not like Seattle couldn’t also counter with one of their own flea-flicker calls to get someone open deep like Rashid Shaheed or Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
It’s a good trick play to help these quarterbacks in their first Super Bowl start.
