It was a thrilling week 6 in the NFL and below OddsTrader has the most recent power rankings for you to sink your teeth into. Don’t forget to look at the current lines for next week, as well as our Power Line which will render the Betting Edge, furnishing you with an advantage in your NFL picks.

Remember you can go over our nifty tool explanation with our Week 1 post and remember to check back every Tuesday for analysis of the adjustment in the positions.

Now, let’s review our Top 10 teams and see if you agree.

Power Rankings

1. Buffalo Bills (4-2 SU, 4-2 ATS) BYE – The Bills remain atop our OddsTrader Power Rankings, at least for one more week, despite falling to Tennessee after eschewing the field goal opportunity, which would have sent the game into overtime, and instead opting for the win with only seconds remaining. But Josh Allen was met by a wall of Titans and Buffalo stumbled out of the Music City singing the blues.

2. Tampa Bay Bucs (5-1 SU, 2-4 ATS) Next: vs. Bears – Tom Terrific and the Bucs are proving that last year’s Super Bowl season was no fluke as they enter Week 7 at the top of the NFC South and one of the favorites to repeat as Super Bowl champs. Last week they defeated the Eagles, 28-22, but barely missed covering the spread as they have been prone to doing this season.

The NFL odds at all of the best online sportsbooks are revealing the Bucs as 13-point home favorites which is three points lower than the -16 our Power Line indicates. That’s a three-point betting edge which means it could be a good time to bet the Bucs.

Despite being double digit favorites our algorithm is giving the Bucs and the Cardinals a positive edge ATS for this weeks matchups

3. Arizona Cardinals (6-0 SU, 5-1 ATS) Next: vs. Texans – The Cardinals are the only undefeated team remaining but they have also been slaying it at the windows, covering the number in five of six opportunities. Last week they romped, 37-14, over the Browns in Cleveland as three-point road underdogs, and next week they will get a cakewalk as they entertain the woeful Texans.

4. Baltimore Ravens (5-1 SU, 3-3 ATS) Next: vs. Bengals – After getting upset by the Raiders in the opening week, the Ravens have reeled off five consecutive wins including their 34-6 trouncing of the LA Chargers. Baltimore rendered the Bolts’ offense powerless last week as the triumvirate of Latavius Murray, Le’Veon Bell, and Devonta Freeman all broke the plane of the end zone for the Ravens.

In other words, Baltimore’s rushing game steamrolled in Week 6 and they will be tasked with rolling against the eighth-ranked run-stop unit of the Bengals next week in a divisional showdown.

5. Los Angeles Rams (5-1 SU, 4-2 ATS) Next: vs. Lions – The Rams were 7.5 point road chalk against the Giants last week but that wasn’t nearly enough to reflect the disparity in talent between this two teams. Matthew Stafford torched Big Blue’s secondary for four touchdowns while the Rams defense was superb in forcing four turnovers in LA’s 38-11 rout of the Giants. LA gets another cupcake next week when they welcome the toothless Lions at home.

It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘n’ Roll)

6. New Orleans (3-2 SU, 3-2 ATS) Next: at Seahawks – New Orleans rebounded nicely after an upset loss to the Giants with a 33-22 victory over Washington in Landover two weeks ago. And now they will travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks without Russell Wilson under center.

The Saints are making their bones with a controlled tempo offense and a stalwart defense this season. They will be well-rested heading into the Emerald City after getting the Monday night game coming off of their bye week.

7. Green Bay Packers (5-1 SU, 5-1 ATS) Next: vs. Washington – Had it not been for their lethargic Week 1 performance against the Saints in which they were trounced, 38-3, it is likely we would see Green Bay at the top of the pack (pardon the near-pun).

However, they did lose and their five straight wins since have been against middling opponents. They will get more of the same when they welcome the WFT to Lambeau this week.

8. Kansas City Chiefs (3-3 SU, 2-4 ATS) Next: at Titans – The Chiefs got a much-needed win last week over Washington and did it in convincing fashion.

Despite the Chiefs being a .500 team, nobody truly expects the defending AFC champs to be treading water much longer. Granted, they have had a tough early schedule with losses to the Ravens, Chargers, and Bills, three of the best teams in the league, but they won’t get a breather this week when they travel to Nashville to take on the Titans, fresh off of a huge upset of the Buffalo Bills.

9. Indianapolis Colts (2-4 SU, 4-2 ATS) Next: at 49ers – The Colts got back on track with a thorough dismantling of the Houston Texans on Sunday. Carson Wentz had a pair of touchdown passes while running back, Jonathan Taylor, also found the end zone twice, en route to the 31-3 victory. The Colts will travel to the Bay Area this week and take on the 49ers.

10. Dallas Cowboys (5-1 SU, 6-0) Next: BYE – Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Russell Wilson, and Josh Allen are the top-tier names that leap to mind when pondering the best quarterbacks in the game. But what about Dak Prescott?

The 28-year-old phenom obliterated the Patriots’ secondary last week with three touchdowns, 445 passing yards, and a 70 percent completion rate as the Cowboys won a 35-29 overtime thriller. America’s Team will get their bye this week before traveling to Minnesota to take on the Vikings in Week 8.
