WNBA Picks for August 19: Will Kayla McBride Deliver With Collier Out?

The WNBA has five games on tonight’s WNBA schedule! After looking through each game, I’ve found three best bets for tonight’s action. Let’s get right to it!

Minnesota Lynx vs. New York Liberty

Tuesday, August 19, 2025 – 7:00 PM EDT at Barclays Center

The New York Liberty will welcome the Minnesota Lynx to town. These are two of the best teams in the league. Ultimately, this will be the third straight game for the Liberty against the Lynx. In the last two games, the Lynx won. They’ve got some great contributions from Kayle McBride, who scored more than 15 points in the most recent showdown. She’s got a good matchup against the Liberty and will likely prove that again tonight.

Napheesa Collier Is Still Doubtful!

With Napheesa Collier out, Kayla McBride has stepped up offensively. She’s averaged 11.5 field goal attempts per game over the last ten games and has been way more aggressive with the ball.

She’s earned at least three fouls drawn in four straight games and has made three three-pointers per game over the last ten games. Her minutes have even increased to above 30 minutes per game now.

McBride has only shot 40.6% from the field, but she’s hit 36.1% from downtown and is mostly known for her three-point shooting.

Plus, the Liberty rank 11th in three-pointers allowed to shooting guards and 10th in points allowed to shooting guards. Expect McBride to get plenty of decent looks against the Liberty. She’s added at least 17 points in back-to-back games against New York heading into this one.

WNBA Pick: Kayla McBride Over 14.5 Points (-125) at Caesars

Atlanta Dream vs. Las Vegas Aces

Tuesday, August 19, 2025 – 10:00 PM EDT at Michelob ULTRA Arena

The Las Vegas Aces are starting to cook late in the season. They’re getting hot at the right time. However, the Atlanta Dream won’t be an easy win, even with the Aces being the home team. Allisha Gray has earned at least five rebounds in 69% of games this season and has an over line at 4.5 (-158). That’s an outstanding value play.

Allisha Gray Will Be More Aggressive On The Glass!

Allisha Gray has earned at least five rebounds in three of her last four games. She’s also hit this line in 69% of games this season and has added at least five rebounds in six of ten head-to-head games against the Aces.

Gray has averaged 4.4 defensive rebounds per game over the last ten games. She’s also earned .5 offensive rebounds per game. If you put those averages together, she’ll likely finish with five rebounds.

Plus, she’s facing an Aces squad that ranks 11th in rebounds allowed to shooting guards. Even on the road, Gray should have a lot of opportunities to land rebounds.

Take her to add at least five rebounds at -158 in tonight’s game.

WNBA Pick: Allisha Gray Over 4.5 Rebounds (-158) at Caesars

Phoenix Mercury vs. Golden State Valkyries

Tuesday, August 19, 2025 – 10:00 PM EDT at Chase Center

The last play you’ll want to consider is Satou Sabally to add at least six rebounds in tonight’s game. The Valkyries rank 11th in rebounds allowed to power forwards, and Sabally has hit this line in 61% of games this season.

Sabally Looks Dominant On The Glass

Satou Sabally has recorded at least six rebounds in three of her last five games. In the other two, she finished with five. Meanwhile, in her latest game, Sabally added ten rebounds against the Seattle Storm.

Sabally is facing a Valkyries team that already ranks 11th in rebounds allowed to power forwards. Again, she got ten rebounds in just 22.5 minutes against the Storm. She also had seven rebounds against the Valkyries in the one game she faced them.

Let’s give Sabally a try at Over 5.5 rebounds.

WNBA Pick: Satou Sabally Over 5.5 Rebounds (-132) at Caesars
