Tuesday’s Top Pick

NBA Pick:  Hornets +14.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbooks

We have an exciting Tuesday night NBA slate with many spots to target to make winning wagers. Using the OddsTrader BetStation tool, we can find out in which games the NBA AI computer has found the biggest edges.

Those margins are still pretty small: Even a 5-star “deadbolt lock” is going to be a 60/40 flip at best. It’s anything but rare to end up 0-3 (or 3-0) when you make three NBA picks; more often, you’ll go 2-1 or 1-2.

Let’s see which of these 3 advantage spots our money falls into tonight.

Picks Summary

  • Pistons +13.5 (-110)
  • Hornets +14.5 (-110)
  • Wizards +13.5 (-110)

Miami Heat vs. Detroit Pistons

Tuesday, April 04, 07:00 PM EDT at Little Caesars Arena

The Miami Heat recently ended a three-game losing streak by defeating the Dallas Mavericks 129-122. The Heat are at 41-37 and have four games remaining. The Heat will be making a push for the playoffs and tonight’s game is one of the easiest on the schedule, taking on the team with the worst record in the league, the Detroit Pistons.

The Heat and the Pistons have played once so far this season on March 19th. Miami won the game 112-100. In that game, Jimmy Butler scored 26 points and had 10 assists.

The Detroit Pistons are 16-62 on the year and have lost nine straight games. The Pistons have lost 23 of their last 25 games. Their most recent outing was a 128-102 loss to the Orlando Magic.

Do the Heat Deserve to be Favored by So Much?

The OddsTrader A.I. generated model has the final score of the game projected at 112-107 in favor of the Miami Heat. The Pistons may be losing a lot of games, but they do have the potential to keep this one close. The computer has found a nice 6.5-point edge for us to bet.

NBA Pick: Pistons +13.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

Toronto Raptors vs. Charlotte Hornets

Tuesday, April 04, 07:00 PM EDT at Spectrum Center

The Toronto Raptors and Charlotte Hornets played on Sunday and the Toronto Raptors won 128-108. Although the Raptors ended up covering the NBA odds, the game was much closer than the score suggested.

The Hornets hung close the whole game before falling in the last 4 minutes. Now they run it back tonight and the Hornets can use their experience from Sunday to try and improve.

Will the Raptors Cover the Large Spread?

The Toronto Raptors are favored by 14.5 points in tonight’s game. Our OddsTrader A.I. prediction has the final score of this game at 113-108 in favor of the Pelicans. So while the Hornets do not have the best straight-up record, our algorithm likes them to keep this game close tonight. This projection does bode well for betting on the Hornets.

Our second A.I. pick has a 9.5-point edge. That is the type of edge we are looking for when running NBA models. With the Hornets being 14.5-point underdogs, we have an edge when betting on the Hornets tonight.

NBA Pick: Hornets +14.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbooks

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Washington Wizards

Tuesday, April 04, 07:00 PM EDT at Capital One Arena

The Milwaukee Bucks have a chance to secure the number one seed with a win over the Washington Wizards tonight. The Bucks are now 56-22 on the year after defeating the Philadelphia 76ers 117-104 on Sunday. This was an important win for the Bucks to get a decisive win over a potential Eastern Conference playoff opponent.

Washington’s most recent game was a 118-109 loss in New York to the Knicks. The loss officially eliminated the Wizards from the ability to make the postseason. The Wizards are sitting some of their top players but that opens up opportunities for players such as Cory Kispert who scored 29 points for the Wizards in the loss.

Do the Bucks Deserve to be Favored by So Much?

The Wizards players will be trying hard as they attempt to audition to stay on the team or make a different roster. The Bucks could be on cruise control knowing that they are the number one seed and the margin of victory does not matter, only getting the win.

It is quite possible that the Bucks will overlook the scrappy Wizards. The Wizards have a great chance to cover the NBA odds tonight.

The computer A.I. has this game projected as a 119-114 win for the Milwaukee Bucks. With the Wizards getting 13.5 points of NBA odds, this gives us an 8.5-point edge when making this bet.

The A.I. has spoken.
