He should be an elite source of points, triples and dimes as he enters his age-25 season, making him an attractive, early-round target on draft day.

The superstar delivered a stellar performance from beyond the arc while tying his season-high mark in threes. Maxey continues to string together impressive fantasy outings, and he should serve as the club's top option while Joel Embiid (sinus fracture) is sidelined.

Maxey posted his first triple-double of the season, setting new season high marks in both rebounds and assists to go along with his eighth outing with at least 25 points.

The fifth-year point guard continues to struggle from long range, and Maxey has gone just 2-for-21 on three-point attempts over the last three games. He's compensated with some quick hands on defense, and Maxey has recorded multiple steals in seven straight contests, averaging 23.3 points, 5.7 assists, 3.3 boards, 2.9 steals and 2.7 threes over that stretch.

Maxey carried the 76ers in scoring Saturday, and even though Paul George logged 26 minutes in his return, it's clear Maxey was the go-to player in this victory. He missed six games in a row between Nov. 8 and Nov. 18 due to a hamstring injury, but he's looked terrific once he shook off the rust. Maxey is entering a hot streak offensively and has posted 25 or more points in three of his past four appearances.

Maxey has tallied at least 25 points and seven assists in four of his last five outings.

Maxey closed with 21 points (6-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds, four assists, two blocks and three steals in 40 minutes during Friday's 112-93 win over Sacramento.

The fourth-year guard has scored 20 or more points in eight straight games and 12 of the last 13, averaging 26.5 points, 6.5 assists, 3.2 boards, 3.1 threes and 1.3 steals over the latter stretch. Maxey has more than ably replaced James Harden as the Sixers' second star next to Joel Embiid (knee), and he should be headed to his first All-Star Game appearance in 2023-24.

Maxey produced 35 points (12-29 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 7-9 FT), eight rebounds, nine assists and four steals in 43 minutes before fouling out of Wednesday's 139-132 overtime loss to the Hawks.

The fourth-year guard came close to notching his first career triple-double as he carried the load for the Sixers with Joel Embiid (knee) sidelined, but Maxey's efforts weren't quite enough to get his team in the win column. Maxey's 27 points was second on the 76ers behind reigning MVP Joel Embiid. While Maxey missed eight of his nine three-point attempts in Friday's loss, the team as a whole struggled as they converted just 6 of 23 attempts from beyond the arc. He's shooting 28.9 percent from three over his last six games, but has a chance to get right Saturday against the Jazz, who are coming off a blowout loss to the Celtics on Friday.

Maxey posted 21 points (6-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five assists and one rebound over 29 minutes in Tuesday's 110-97 win over Chicago.

Maxey led all players in Tuesday's contest in threes made while adding a handful of assists and surpassing the 20-point mark to boost Philadelphia offensively. Maxey has connected on four or more threes in 12 games, recording 20 or more points in all but six outings this year.

Maxey chipped in 20 points (8-22 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-5 FT), seven assists and one steal over 35 minutes during Saturday's 105-92 loss to the Bulls.

It was an off night for the Sixers on offense, but Maxey led the team in scoring despite finishing the game with more field goal attempts than points scored. Maxey has been Philadelphia's primary offensive weapon with Joel Embiid (ankle) sidelined, and that will remain the case going forward until the star big man is ready to return. Maxey is averaging 24.3 points per contest over his last 10 appearances.

Maxey supplied 42 points (13-26 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 14-15 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one block across 41 minutes during Friday's 131-127 win over the Rockets.

Maxey seems to have shaken off his woeful Christmas performance when he finished with 12 points in 4-for-20 shooting in a loss to the Heat, as he has recorded 23 and 42 points in his subsequent two games. That game against Miami was nothing more than a bump on the road, however, as Maxey has posted 20-plus performances in six of his last seven games. He should continue to operate as Philadelphia's primary offensive weapon while Joel Embiid (ankle) remains sidelined.

Maxey logged 23 points (9-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one block over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 112-92 win over Orlando.

The fourth-year guard led the Sixers in scoring on the night in the absence of Joel Embiid (ankle), although Tobias Harris and De'Anthony Melton were right there with Maxey, dropping 22 points each. Maxey has hit for 20-plus in eight of 11 games this month, averaging 23.7 points, 6.4 assists, 3.2 threes and 2.7 boards in December as he takes another step forward following his breakout 2022-23 campaign.

Maxey racked up 33 points (13-22 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds and 10 assists over 41 minutes during Friday's 121-111 victory over Toronto.

The Sixers got nearly all their offense from only three players, as Maxey tied Tobias Harris for the team lead while Joel Embiid also produced 31 points. Maxey has scored at least 30 in back-to-back games and six times in his last 14, a stretch in which the fourth-year guard is averaging 26.0 points, 6.5 assists, 3.2 threes, 3.0 boards and 0.8 steals.

Maxey totaled 35 points (12-24 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 6-6 FT), one rebound and five assists in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 127-113 victory over the Timberwolves.

Maxey led all players in Wednesday's contest in threes made while finishing second on the team in scoring en route to posting his eighth game of the year with 30 or more points. Maxey posted his highest point total since tallying a season-high 50 points Nov. 12 against Indiana. He has connected on five or more threes in eight contests this year, including in three straight games.

Maxey registered 19 points (7-16 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), one rebound, four assists and two steals in 27 minutes during Friday's 124-92 win over the Pistons.

Maxey's scoring output was modest by his standards, but he played only 27 minutes due to the lopsided nature of the scorer and bounced back pretty well from his 2-for-13, nine-point performance against Detroit in his previous contest. Maxey finished second on Philadelphia behind Joel Embiid in scoring Friday as 12 different players on the team logged double-digit minutes. The star guard also logged a team-best plus-37 point differential during his time on the court.

Maxey provided 30 points (8-18 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 10-12 FT), two rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal across 39 minutes during Friday's 125-114 victory over the Hawks.

Maxey scored 30 points for the third time in four games and was second on the team in scoring behind reigning MVP Joel Embiid (38 points). Maxey entered Friday's game averaging career highs in scoring (26.9 points), assists (6.7) and rebounds (4.4) and free throw attempts (5.4). Maxey has stepped up as the clear second option for the 76ers after the trade of James Harden and the former is making a strong case for the Most Improved Player award.

Maxey had 26 points (10-20 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and seven assists across 38 minutes in Wednesday's 131-126 win over the Wizards.

Maxey was a late scratch Friday against the Celtics with an injury, but was able to return for Wednesday's game along with Joel Embiid and Kelly Oubre. Maxey took a back seat to the 50-point performance of Embiid, but the former tied with De'Anthony Melton with a team-best plus-12 point differential. Maxey has now scored at least 25 points in six of his last seven games and has shot at least 50 percent from the floor in three of his last four apperances.

Maxey (illness) is not featured on the injury report in advance of Wednesday's game against Washington.

Maxey will return from a one-game absence due to an illness and should be in line for his normal workload after being a full participant at practice. Maxey has averaged 27.6 points, 5.6 assists and 4.2 rebounds across his last five games.

Maxey (illness) was a full participant at Monday's practice, Justin Grasso of SI.com reports.

Maxey was unable to play in Friday's game against the Celtics, but he's had the full weekend to recover and is all set to return Wednesday against the Wizards. Joel Embiid (illness) and Kelly Oubre (ribs) are also set to return for the 76ers.

Maxey (illness) will not play in Friday's game against Boston, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.

Maxey tried to warm up to see if he could give it a go, but instead he'll join Joel Embiid (illness) on the shelf. Patrick Beverley will enter the starting five in Maxey's place, while Tobias Harris and De'Anthony Melton will soak up a lot of usage on the offensive end. After Friday's game, the 76ers are off until Wednesday against the Wizards.

Maxey is listed as questionable for Friday's game versus the Celtics due to an illness.

Maxey is in danger of missing his first game this season after being a late addition to Friday's injury report. If the star guard is ruled out, Patrick Beverley and De'Anthony Melton are candidates to receive increased minutes.

Maxey finished Wednesday's 124-114 loss to the Pelicans with 33 points (13-25 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound, three assists and two steals in 38 minutes.

Joel Embiid wasn't able to suit up Wednesday due to an illness, leaving Maxey to carry the load on offense. The talented guard stepped up with a team-high 33 points -- no other 76er scored more than 17 -- while finishing with a solid 13-for-25 shooting line. It was Maxey's best scoring performance since he went off for 50 points against Indiana Nov. 12, but he hadn't exactly been slumping between the efforts, as he's finished with 30-plus points three times over his past five contests. Maxey has blossomed into one of the NBA's most dynamic offensive players this season and should continue to put up hearty stat lines on a near-nightly basis.

Maxey accumulated 31 points (9-20 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 8-9 FT), three rebounds, eight assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Monday's 138-94 victory over the Lakers.

Maxey caught fire from deep in the first quarter, and the Lakers didn't find a way to stop his two-man game with Joel Embiid, allowing the star guard to pace the Sixers in scoring even when Embiid grabbed headlines of his own following the triple-double. Maxey has embraced the role of being the Sixers' second option on offense and is delivering a career-best year across most categories. This was his fifth game with at least 30 points, a feat that he accomplished seven times during the entire 2022-23 campaign.

Maxey closed with 28 points (8-17 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 9-11 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one block over 41 minutes during Saturday's 127-123 win over the Thunder.

Maxey had another excellent performance as the Sixers' second-best offensive option behind Joel Embiid, though by now, fantasy managers should be used to seeing the star guard reaching the 25-point mark on a consistent basis. Maxey has scored at least 25 points in 10 of his 16 appearances to date, and his high usage rate also allows him to contribute in other categories as well. He's averaging 25.5 points, 6.9 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game in November.

Maxey ended with 16 points (7-19 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), five rebounds, eight assists and one block in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 112-99 loss to Minnesota.

Maxey failed to make a three-pointer for the first time since Nov. 2, and the result was a season-low 16 points. He played well despite the poor shooting from distance, though the 76ers lost 112-99 without Joel Embiid (hip). It was also the second night of a back-to-back for Maxey and the Sixers, which could have contributed to his rough shooting from deep.

Maxey finished Tuesday's 122-119 overtime loss to the Cavaliers with 30 points (11-28 FG, 3-12 3Pt, 5-7 FT), four rebounds, six assists and one steal across 47 minutes.

Maxey might have needed 28 shots to score 30 points, but his scoring numbers have been so good that he can afford to have a night off in terms of efficiency from time to time. Firmly entrenched as the Sixers' second-best option on offense behind Joel Embiid, Maxey continues to have a career-best season in most categories, though his 27.0 points and 7.0 assists per game certainly stand out.

Maxey amassed 19 points (5-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, eight assists and two steals across 40 minutes during Friday's 126-116 win over the Hawks.

Maxey didn't have a good shooting performance and was held to 20 points or less in back-to-back contests for the first time in 2023-24, which shows how dominant he's been on offense this season. This performance also ended a seven-game streak in which Maxey scored 20 or more points. Firmly entrenched as Philly's second-best scoring option behind Joel Embiid and one of the most improved players in the league through the first weeks of the season, Maxey is averaging 25.8 points, 7.0 assists and 4.4 rebounds across nine appearances in November.

Maxey recorded 20 points (6-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds and four assists across 39 minutes during Wednesday's 117-107 loss to Boston.

Maxey delivered his second-worst scoring mark of the season Wednesday, and he also saw the end of his four-game run with at least 25 points following a subpar shooting performance -- though it must be noted he was facing one of the best defensive backcourts in the league featuring Jrue Holiday and Derrick White. Maxey should deliver a better outing against the Hawks on Friday.

Maxey ended Tuesday's 132-126 loss to Indiana with 27 points (9-23 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 7-7 FT), four rebounds, five assists and one block over 38 minutes.

As expected, Maxey was not able to repeat the 50-point showing he delivered against the Pacers on Sunday, and while he had a rough night from the field, he still notched his sixth straight game with at least 20 points. In fact, Maxey has reached that feat in all but one of his appearances this season and should remain a stellar scoring weapon as the clear No. 2 option behind Joel Embiid for a rising 76ers team.

Maxey erupted for 50 points (20-32 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and three blocks over 39 minutes in Sunday's 137-126 win over the Pacers.

It was a career-high scoring effort from Maxey and the third 50-point game in the NBA this season. His night was capped off with a contested step-back three with less than a minute left in the fourth quarter to reach the half century mark. Sunday was the first time Maxey has led the 76ers in scoring since the season opener, with Joel Embiid leading in points in each of the last eight games. Maxey has stepped up spectacularly in his increased role following the departure of James Harden and has scored 20-plus points in all but one game this year. Maxey could well be on his way to his first All-Star appearance should he continue to be productive and the 76ers stay atop the Eastern Conference standings.

Maxey provided 25 points (11-27 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 0-1 FT), nine rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 106-103 victory over the Celtics.

Maxey led Philadelphia in threes made and assists while finishing second on the team in scoring and rebounds in a near double-double showing Wednesday. Maxey has hauled in nine or more boards in two games this season, tallying at least 25 points in four of his seven appearances.

Maxey logged 22 points (9-18 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, 10 assists and one block over 36 minutes during Saturday's 112-100 win over Phoenix.

Maxey logged a season-high 10 assists, although it represented his second double-double of the season after a 10-rebound effort Sunday. He's averaging a whopping 38.4 minutes per game and his usage has him on track for All-Star level output. The 22-year-old has accounted for 18.1 percent of the 76ers' possessions plus assists this season.

Maxey (hand) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Thursday's matchup against the Raptors.

Maxey was evaluated for a hand injury after posting 26 points (6-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 10-10 FT), 10 rebounds and four assists in 35 minutes during Sunday's win over the Raptors. However, it appears the issue was minor and won't force him to miss any game action. With James Harden (conditioning) out of the picture, Maxey has flourished to begin 2023-24, averaging 30.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists in 38.7 minutes per game.

Maxey dealt with a hand injury during Sunday's win over the Trail Blazers and will be evaluated in the coming days, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.

Maxey never exited Sunday's matchup and finished the matchup with 26 points (6-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 10-10 FT), 10 rebounds and four assists in 35 minutes. However, he was flexing his right hand during the game and will be checked out early this week to make sure he isn't dealing with a substantial injury. Coach Nick Nurse didn't sound too concerned about the issue, and Maxey will have several days to recover before the 76ers face Toronto on Thursday.

Maxey produced 34 points (12-20 FG, 7-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, seven assists and one block in 41 minutes during Saturday's 114-107 win over the Raptors.

After not taking a single shot in the first quarter, Maxey exploded in the second frame for 15 points that helped the 76ers keep a three-point lead heading into halftime. He's scored at least 31 points in each of the first two contests of the season and has played in at least 40 minutes in both games. His usage is likely to take a hit if James Harden returns, but Maxey has shown to be a reliable second option next to reigning MVP Joel Embiid.

Maxey chipped in 31 points (10-22 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 8-10 FT), four rebounds, eight assists and two steals in 40 minutes during Thursday's 118-117 loss to the Bucks.

Joel Embiid is widely expected to operate as the Sixers' main scoring threat on a game-to-game basis, but Maxey took over in this one, as Embiid was tightly guarded near the rim, and he took advantage to lead the team in both points and assists. Maxey averaged 20.3 points, 3.5 assists and 2.9 rebounds last season, and it wouldn't be shocking to see him surpass those numbers, especially if James Harden remains away from the team due to his trade demands.

Maxey scored 15 points (5-11 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-3 FT) while adding 12 assists, three steals, two rebounds and a block in 32 minutes during Friday's 120-106 preseason win over the Hawks.

James Harden remains away from the Sixers due to his trade demand, and it's looking doubtful he'll be in the lineup when the regular season tips off Thursday, Oct. 26 against the Bucks. That could be good news for Maxey though, as the fourth-year guard sees more of the ball after recording a career-high 24.1 percent usage rate last season. Joel Embiid remains the centerpiece of Philly's offense, but with Maxey as the No. 2 option rather than the No. 3, a career-best campaign would likely follow.

Maxey (back) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.

Maxey had some back spasms during Monday's preseason contest, but he appears to be 100 percent after that slight setback. Presumably, Maxey will be ready to roll for Friday's preseason finale against Atlanta.

Maxey has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's preseason game against the Nets due to back spasms, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.

The Sixers won't take any chances with their starting guard and have elected to hold him out the rest of the way. Jaden Springer, Danny Green and Kelly Oubre could see additional minutes in the second half.

Maxey was active on both ends of the court in this one, though he certainly made his presence felt on the offensive end and finished as one of Philadelphia's highest-scoring players. Maxey is expected to begin the season as the 76ers' starter at shooting guard, though his role as a scorer will be secondary while slotting behind Joel Embiid (rest) and James Harden (personal) in the pecking order.

Maxey struggled a bit from three-point range, but other than that, he was the Sixers' main offensive weapon and finished as the team's highest scorer by a sizable margin. He should make the most of his chances in preseason, as he'll have a secondary role on offense once the regular season begins behind Joel Embiid (rest) and James Harden (personal).

Maxey had 17 points (5-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds and four assists in 42 minutes during Sunday's 112-88 loss to the Celtics in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Although the Sixers fell short for a second consecutive year, Maxey has proven to be one of the team's most dependable producers. The Kentucky product averaged 20.3 points, 3.5 assists and 2.9 rebounds in his third season with the Sixers and was an effective complement to James Harden in the backcourt.

Maxey accumulated 30 points (10-21 FG, 6-12 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds and three assists over 42 minutes during Tuesday's 115-103 win over the Celtics in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Maxey stepped his game up when Philadelphia needed him the most, and the explosive guard finished as the 76ers' second-best scorer, only behind Joel Embiid's 33-point mark. This was an excellent bounce-back effort for Maxey, as he had failed to reach the 15-point plateau in the previous three games of the series. He's averaged 20.3 points per game through nine postseason contests thus far.

Maxey closed Sunday's 116-115 overtime victory over the Celtics in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 14 points (6-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt), eight rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals in 45 minutes.

Maxey was one of three 76ers in double figures in scoring, finishing two rebounds shy of a double-double in Sunday's overtime win in Game 4. Maxey struggled shooting the ball Sunday, but managed to contribute offensively with a bucket in overtime to help push Philadelphia to victory.

Maxey logged 13 points (4-16 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 40 minutes during Friday's 114-102 loss to the Celtics in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Maxey couldn't get anything going in the loss, shooting just 4-of-16 from the field en route to 13 points. Both he and James Harden (16 points on 3-of-14 shooting) fell short of the mark, underperforming on a night when there should have been celebrations following the awarding of Joel Embiid's MVP trophy. Now trailing 2-1 in the series, the 76ers will need to get a lot more out of Maxey should they hope to keep this competitive.

Maxey helped spark a second-half comeback for Philadelphia in Monday's Game 1 win, scoring 19 of his 26 points in the second half while finishing second on the team in scoring. Maxey has tallied 25 or more points in three of his five postseason appearances. 

Maxey ended Thursday's 102-97 victory over the Nets in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals with 25 points (10-17 FG, 5-8 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and one steal over 36 minutes.

Maxey picked up Philadelphia's offense in Thursday's Game 3 victory, leading the team in scoring and threes made en route to a 25-point performance. Maxey, who tallied 12 points in the opening quarter alone, has scored 25 or more points in two straight postseason games.

Maxey provided 33 points (13-23 FG, 6-13 3Pt, 1-3 FT), three rebounds and one block across 40 minutes during Monday's 96-84 win over the Nets in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Maxey led all players in Monday's game in scoring and threes made en route to surpassing the 30-point mark for the first time of the postseason. Maxey, who scored 18 points in the second half alone, scored 30 or more points seven times during the regular season. 

Maxey (rest) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Saturday's Game 1 clash with the Nets.

Maxey took the final three games of the regular season off to rest up ahead of the playoffs, so he should be fresh as the Sixers begin their postseason run. Maxey posted a career-best campaign in the scoring column during 2022-23, racking up 20.3 points per game on a career-best 43.4 percent from beyond the arc, knocking down 2.7 treys per game. He'll remain a significant part of the equation for Philadelphia in the postseason and should reassume his starting role.

Maxey (neck) is out for Sunday's matchup at Brooklyn.

Philadelphia's core players are getting the night off to stay fresh for the upcoming first-round playoff series against Brooklyn. Maxey concludes the 2022-23 regular season with averages of 20.3 points, 3.5 assists and 2.9 rebounds in 33.6 minutes.

Maxey (neck) will not suit up for Friday's game versus the Hawks.

Maxey is one of numerous regulars in the rotation who will sit out for the Sixers on Friday as the end of the regular season looms Sunday. He'll get a rest alongside James Harden (Achilles) P.J. Tucker (calf), Joel Embiid (rest) and likely at least De'Anthony Melton (calf), though Tobias Harris (hip) is also questionable. That essentially means the Sixers will be relying on heavy minutes from the usual reserves in this one.

Maxey (neck) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Heat, Sean Barnard of Philly Sports Network reports.

Maxey will hit the sidelines for the first game of this back-to-back with a stiff neck, but maybe he'll be able to return for Friday's game in Atlanta. De'Anthony Melton will get the start in his place Thursday and will be joined in the first unit by James Harden, Tobias Harris, P.J. Tucker and Joel Embiid.

Harden's return to action after a four game absence hasn't done much to curb Maxey's production, as he's averaged 21.3 points, 4.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds over the past three games. He's also converted an impressive 60 percent of his attempts beyond the arc over the same span.

Maxey registered 22 points (6-13 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, four assists and two steals over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 116-108 victory over Dallas.

The third-year guard topped 20 points for the seventh straight game as he continues to be the one constant in the 76ers lineup while Joel Embiid and James Harden spot in and out of the lineup due to various injuries. Maxey is averaging 23.3 points, 3.6 assists, 3.6 threes, 3.4 boards and 0.9 steals through 16 games in March while shooting 55.1 percent from the floor, 51.3 percent from beyond the arc and 93.8 percent from the free-throw line.

Maxey posted a team-high 29 points (12-21 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT), five assists, four rebounds and three steals across 34 minutes in Monday's 116-111 loss to the Nuggets.

After erupting for 37 points -- his second-best total of the season -- in Saturday's loss to the Suns, Maxey took center stage for the 76ers once again Monday while Joel Embiid (calf) and James Harden (Achilles) were sidelined. Maxey came through with another efficient scoring line, and the three steals further burnished the overall value of his fantasy output. Maxey has been on a hot offensive run of late with 20-plus points in six straight games and at least five assists in five of those games, but it bears mentioning that Harden has been sidelined for all but one of those six contests. Embiid looks like a good bet to play Wednesday against the Mavericks, and Harden could also put an end to his four-game absence. If that's the case, Maxey's usage would take a significant hit.

Maxey contributed 37 points (14-19 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and one steal over 36 minutes during Saturday's 125-105 loss to the Suns.

Despite the fact the Sixers lost by 20 points, Maxey had one of his best performances of the season while registering his second-best scoring output of the campaign. The former Kentucky star has been outstanding in recent games and extended his streak of games with 20-plus points to five appearances, proving he can thrive as the team's third-best option on offense behind Joel Embiid and James Harden (Achilles). He also showed he can step his game up if one of the two stars is missing. Maxey is averaging 23.0 points per game since the beginning of March.

Maxey totaled 21 points (7-16 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, five assists and one steal across 40 minutes during Friday's 120-112 loss to Golden State.

Maxey continues to play well with Harden in and out of the lineup due to an Achilles issue and has scored at least 20 points in five of his last six appearances. During that stretch, the third-year guard has averaged 21.8 points, 4.5 assists and 3.7 rebounds in 37.2 minutes per game.

Maxey supplied 21 points (8-19 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal in 38 minutes during Wednesday's 116-91 victory over the Bulls.

Maxey got hot in the second quarter with 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field and 3-of-3 shooting from behind the arc before entering the half with 16 points, two assists and two rebounds. He was unable to carry that momentum into the second half, however, as he went just 2-of-9 for another five points over the final two quarters while the 76ers made short work of Chicago on the road. The point guard still finished second in the game in scoring with 21 points, despite his late struggles and has now broken the 20-point mark in three straight. Maxey has also knocked down at least four threes in three of his last five games and is shooting a very healthy 51.9 percent from beyond the arc in March.

Maxey finished with 22 points (9-19 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, six assists and one block over 46 minutes during Monday's 109-105 double-overtime loss to the Bulls.

The third-year guard has been locked in since moving back into the starting five at the beginning of March. Maxey has scored more than 20 points in eight of 11 games on the month, averaging 22.1 points, 3.4 assists, 3.4 threes and 2.8 boards over that stretch while shooting 56.1 percent from the floor and a dazzling 52.1 percent from beyond the arc.

Maxey closed Saturday's 141-121 win over the Pacers with 31 points (12-18 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, seven assists and one steal over 35 minutes.

Coming off a down game in Friday's win over Charlotte, Maxey made his tenth consecutive start Saturday. His 31 points tied Joel Embiid for the game's lead and marked his sixth 30-point performance of the season in what was a pivotal game for the 76ers and fantasy managers alike. Philadelphia now sits one game back of the Celtics for second place in the East, and the fantasy playoffs are in full swing. The 76ers have four games next week, and Maxey will need to play big minutes to keep their hopes of home-court advantage through at least two rounds of the playoffs alive.

Maxey closed Wednesday's 118-109 win over the Cavaliers with 23 points (8-14 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and three assists in 35 minutes.

After starting the season in the starting lineup, Maxey had been mostly relegated to sixth-man duties after missing time in November and December. He has been inserted back into the starting lineup over the last seven games and has averaged 22 points per contest. He once again got the start Wednesday and managed 24 points while knocking down five shots from behind the arc. Philadelphia will need Maxey to continue to produce at a high level as they look to challenge for a top 2 seed in the East.

Maxey recorded 24 points (8-13 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Monday's 147-143 victory over Indiana.

For the first time this season Maxey has scored at least 20 points in five straight games. The second-year guard has been drilling threes, as he has made 19 over the last five games at a 57.8 percent clip. Riding his hot shooting, Maxey has been a top-60 player in 9-category leagues over the last two weeks. Unfortunately, he didn't produce in many categories Monday, as he failed to grab a rebound for the third time this season.

Maxey accumulated 27 points (10-17 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, seven assists and one steal over 37 minutes during Wednesday's 119-96 victory over the Heat.

Maxey started for the first time since Jan. 21 and made his presence felt, leading the team in scoring and proving to the coaching staff that he's more than ready to carry the team offensively when needed. Even though his 27-point was impressive, Maxey will likely return to a bench role if Joel Embiid (foot) is fit to face the Mavericks on Thursday.

Maxey will join the first unit for Wednesday's matchup with the Heat.

Maxey will draw the spot start with Joel Embiid (foot) sidelined for the contest. It will be his first appearance in the starting lineup since Jan. 21. In his last seven starts, Maxey has averaged 21.7 points, 4.1 assists and 2.4 rebounds across 34.6 minutes.

Maxey fouled out of Monday's 101-99 loss to the Heat after recording 23 points (8-16 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 3-4 FT), one rebound and two assists across 27 minutes off the bench.

He poured in 19 of his 23 points after halftime as the 76ers tried to rally from an eight-point deficit at intermission, and they might have pulled it off had Maxey not left the game with 3:21 left in the fourth quarter. The third-year guard has topped 20 points three times in the last seven games as Philly's sixth man, averaging 18.3 points, 3.0 assists, 2.3 boards, 2.1 threes and 0.9 steals over that stretch.

Maxey closed Monday's 123-104 victory over the Rockets with 26 points (10-16 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, six assists and two steals over 35 minutes.

Maxey's production has been all over the place lately, but this is what he's capable of when he's in a rhythm. On top of the offense, coach Doc Rivers sounded excited about Maxey's improved defense and said it's been trending in the right direction in recent games.

Maxey totaled 27 points (9-16 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two assists and three steals across 33 minutes during Friday's 119-108 victory over New York.

Maxey put up another solid performance Friday night in the midst of a bit of a down stretch. He now has two games over 25 points and two games in single-digit scoring over his last six contests. The third-year pro has little fantasy value outside of his scoring ability and is a low-end fantasy option for managers. Maxey is always a threat to get hot with a strong scoring performance in any game.

Maxey amassed 25 points (8-15 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), three rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 27 minutes during Friday's 137-125 win over San Antonio.

An outburst from Maxey was long overdue. In his previous three contests, Maxey averaged a mere 10.3 points on 32 percent shooting. Unless the 76ers make an unlikely splash at the trade deadline, Friday's production is something you should see quite a bit down the stretch as he continues to benefit from more usage in the second unit.

Maxey finished with 10 points (2-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal in 31 minutes during Wednesday's 105-94 victory over the Magic.

While the Sixers avenged their loss to the Magic on Monday, Maxey had another quiet outing, despite seeing 31 minutes of action. The 2020 first-rounder hit just 2-of-11 shots and did not provide fantasy managers with much in terms of non-scoring stats. Over his last three games, Maxey has totaled only 31 points, five rebounds, eight assists and one steal. Prior to that three-game sample, Maxey had averaged 21.5 points and 3.3 assists in his previous 10 games (Jan. 6 to Jan. 25).

Maxey supplied 27 points (8-14 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds, five assists and two steals across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 137-133 victory over Brooklyn.

Maxey led the offensive charge for Philadelphia despite coming off the bench, racking up 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the floor, including 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. He went just 2-of-6 after the break while making all five of his free throws attempts to reach a team-high 27 points on the night. The point guard also knocked down a team-high six three-pointers in the contest and has broken the 25-point mark in back-to-back games.

Maxey is on the bench for Wednesday's game against the Nets, Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Maxey will head to the bench with James Harden and DeAnthony Melton in the backcourt. The former Kentucky standout scored 32 points Saturday against the Kings as a starter, but he's averaging 14.8 points per game in five outings off the bench.

Maxey posted 32 points (12-29 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds and six assists across 41 minutes during Saturday's 129-127 victory over Sacramento.

Maxey started in place of James Harden (foot) and led a balanced offense against the Kings, who were able to dictate the tempo in the first half. The talented guard put on the gas in the third quarter, further cementing the argument the that he deserves a return to the starting lineup. While De'Anthony Melton can pop occasionally, Maxey's play should make Melton's handle on the starting role a bit more tenuous.

Maxey is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Kings.

Maxey jumps to the starting lineup with James Harden (foot) ruled out, and he should have a prominent role on offense since Joel Embiid (foot) is also sidelined. The former Kentucky standout is averaging 22.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game across 21 starts this season.

Maxey ended Tuesday's 120-110 victory over the Clippers with 22 points (7-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 28 minutes.

Maxey proved essential in the second half by fending off the Clippers, who chipped away at the Sixers' first-half lead. Maxey's lengthy absence allowed De'Anthony Melton to slip into the starting lineup, but based on the recent metrics, Maxey may find himself back in the starting five alongside James Harden soon.

Maxey isn't starting Sunday against the Lakers, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.

Maxey started the last six matchups and averaged 20.0 points, 3.8 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 33.5 minutes per game. He'll come off the bench against the Lakers while De'Anthony Melton draws his second consecutive start.

Maxey totaled 23 points (8-18 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 5-6 FT), two assists and one steal over 33 minutes during Sunday's 123-111 win over Detroit.

Maxey led Philadelphia in scoring en route to his second consecutive 20-point performance. Maxey has scored 20 or more point in 11 games this season. 

Maxey racked up 26 points (8-15 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds, six assists and one steal across 37 minutes during Friday's 126-112 loss to the Bulls.

Maxey did significant damage from beyond the arc, scoring 15 of his 26 points from deep. He turned in a balanced performance by scoring 13 points in each half, but he did manage to get to the charity stripe six times in the second half after failing to do so in the first two quarters. It appears that Maxey is now back up to speed following a lengthy absence due to injury, logging 37 minutes in back-to-back contests.

Maxey is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Pacers.

Maxey is in will enter the starting lineup with Joel Embiid (foot) out. The third-year guard will likely see his minutes increase from 27 in his last outing.

Head coach Doc Rivers relayed Wednesday that Maxey will get in the game "early for sure" and noted he could start versus the Pacers, Justin Grasso of SI.com reports.

Maxey logged 27 minutes in the previous game versus the Pelicans, so he doesn't have too far to go to reach the 34.8 minutes per game he's averaging on the year. With Joel Embiid (foot) sidelined Wednesday, Maxey is an option to get the starting nod. However, it remains to be seen if that would lead to a consistent role in the starting unit again, which would likely mean a move to the bench for De'Anthony Melton.

Coach Doc Rivers said Monday that Maxey will continue to come off the bench for the time being, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.

Maxey has missed 19 of the last 20 games due to a foot injury, but he'll be available for Monday's game against the Pelicans. Although he started in his first 15 appearances of the season, he played 19 minutes off the bench Friday and will continue to have his minutes ramped up while coming off the bench in the near future. De'Anthony Melton should continue to start alongside James Harden in the backcourt.

Maxey (foot) isn't listed on the injury report for Monday's game versus the Pelicans.

Maxey predictably took the day off Saturday after returning from a month-plus absence the night prior versus the Pelicans. Maxey will return to the floor Monday in a rematch with New Orleans and figures to eventually retake his spot in the starting lineup. However, he may still be facing a minutes limit and not ready to do so just yet, which would presumably result in De'Anthony Melton making another start alongside James Harden.

Maxey has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Thunder due to left foot injury management.

Maxey returned from a lengthy absence Friday against the Pelicans and tallied nine points, a rebound and an assist in 19 minutes. However, the 76ers will manage his workload, and he'll be unavailable for the second half of the back-to-back set Saturday. However, it wouldn't be surprising to see him back on the court Monday against New Orleans.

Maxey finished Friday's 127-116 loss to New Orleans with nine points (4-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt), one rebound and one assist across 19 minutes.

Maxey made his long-awaited return from a foot injury, coming off the bench in what is part of his ramp-up process. Despite scoring just nine points, he looked full of energy and didn't appear hampered by the injury that cost him upwards of six weeks. While it likely going to be a week or two before he is back to full speed, managers should certainly be encouraged by this performance.

Maxey (foot) is available for Friday's game at New Orleans, Lauren Rosen of the 76ers' official site reports. He will have a minutes limit and come off the bench.

As expected, Maxey will be playing in his first game since Nov. 18. After missing the past month and a half with a broken foot, the team will opt to play it safe. Fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if Maxey is on a minutes limit and/or comes off the bench for the next few games, if not longer. Shake Milton will likely see his role reduced significantly, and De'Anthony Melton is also at risk for decreased production.

Maxey (foot) is probable for Friday's game against the Pelicans.

Maxey hasn't played since Nov. 18 due to a fractured left foot, but he returned to practice Thursday and will likely be back in action for the first half of a back-to-back set Friday. Maxey appears to be ahead of schedule in his recovery from a fractured left foot after being tabbed as a few weeks away on Dec. 15. Although he may not be ready quite yet, fantasy managers should expect a return within the near future. Maxey will likely have his minutes monitored initially, while Shake Milton and De'Anthony Melton will see lessened roles upon his return.

76ers coach Doc Rivers said Maxey (foot) is still unable to practice and believe he is still a "few weeks away" from returning, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.

Maxey hasn't played since Nov. 18 due to a fracture in his left foot. Shake Milton, De'Anthony Melton and Furkan Korkmaz have seen extended minutes in his absence. Based on Rivers' comments, it seems likely that Maxey won't return to the court until the beginning of 2023.

Shortly after Maxey was diagnosed with a small fracture of his left foot after exiting the 76ers' Nov. 18 win over the Bucks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported that the 22-year-old would require 3-to-4 weeks of recovery time. Maxey is now approaching the short end of that timeline, but he seems destined to miss the full four weeks -- if not longer -- based on where he currently stands in his recovery. Rivers said Maxey was able to do some running Wednesday, but Maxey isn't jumping yet while he looks to avoid putting added pressure on the broken foot.

Philadelphia head coach Doc Rivers said after Friday's 110-102 win over Milwaukee that he anticipates it will be "a little bit" before Maxey returns to the court, but the team won't have an update on the guard's recovery timeline until he undergoes an MRI on Saturday, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.

Though initial X-rays on Maxey's injured left foot returned negative, the 22-year-old could still be dealing with a serious enough sprain to his left foot/ankle to require a multi-game absence. Before suffering the injury late in the second quarter and not returning, Maxey was in the midst of his best game of the season, as he produced 24 points (9-12 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-5 FT), five assists and four rebounds in 21 minutes. With James Harden (foot) likely out until after Thanksgiving Day, De'Anthony Melton and Shake Milton would presumably be next in line for elevated roles out of the backcourt if Maxey joins Harden on the sideline. Maxey was sporting a walking boot following Friday's contest, so at the very least, he appears safe to rule out for Saturday's game against the Timberwolves.

Maxey has been ruled out for the remainder of Friday's game against the Bucks due to a left foot injury, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Maxey suffered the left foot injury in the first half of Friday's matchup and has since been ruled out for the remainder of the contest. Per Wojnarowski, X-rays were negative, but the combo guard will still undergo an MRI on Saturday. Maxey presumably won't be able to play in the second half of the 76ers' back-to-back set Saturday, so his next opportunity to suit up will come Tuesday against the Nets. Shake Milton started the second half and figures to garner an increased role if Maxey remains sidelined for an extended period.

Maxey logged 18 points (8-24 FG, 2-8 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists, one block and four steals across 37 minutes during Sunday's 105-98 victory over the Jazz.

Maxey contributed across the board in this one despite suffering through a tough shooting night. Luckily, the 76ers didn't need much help in the scoring department, as Joel Embiid scored more than half of his team's points with 59. Maxey set a new top mark on the season with four steals and also scored in double figures for the tenth straight contest.

Maxey logged 15 points (5-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds and five assists over 33 minutes during Thursday's 104-95 loss to the Hawks.

It was another tough night from the field for Maxey, scoring just two points in the first half on 1-of-5 shooting as the 76ers struggled to generate much offense outside of Joel Embiid. Maxey didn't fare much better in the second half, going just 4-of-12 from the field for 13 points while adding two assists and two rebounds. The poor shooting performance comes on the heels of a 4-of-18 night from Maxey in the Sixers' previous contest, as the point guard has now failed to reach 20 points in two straight after going for 30 or more in four of his previous six games.

Maxey had 11 points (4-18 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 3-6 FT), five rebounds, six assists and one block across 40 minutes during Monday's 100-88 win over the Suns.

Maxey is having an excellent season, but this was one of his worst outings of the campaign since he needed 18 shots to deliver only 11 points, his second-lowest mark of the campaign, and he also failed to make at least one three just for the second time this season. His role as one of Philadelphia's best scoring threats shouldn't be under any question, especially with James Harden (foot) out, though, so there's a strong chance this was nothing but a bad game for the former Kentucky standout.

Maxey ended with 31 points (10-29 FG, 4-13 3Pt, 7-7 FT), three rebounds, seven assists and one steal across 39 minutes during Friday's 106-104 loss to New York.

Maxey had to embrace a bigger role offensively with Joel Embiid (illness) and James Harden (foot) sidelined, and the star guard responded with his second consecutive 30-point performance. The 22-year-old has now scored at least 28 points in five of his last six games, and he should remain the 76ers' main offensive threat while both Embiid and Harden remain out.

Maxey logged 32 points (11-20 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 5-8 FT), two rebounds and four assists in 43 minutes during Wednesday's 121-111 loss to the Wizards.

Maxey produced another excellent offensive performance Wednesday, making at least 11 shots for the fourth time in his last five games. He's averaging 29.8 points while making 56.7 percent of his shots and going 22-for-41 from beyond the arc during that stretch. The 21-year-old is averaging 17.2 shot attempts per game and it looks as if he'll get his fair share of offensive opportunities alongside Joel Embiid (illness) and James Harden.

Maxey logged 28 points (12-22 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one steal across 34 minutes during Monday's 118-111 victory over Washington.

Maxey is moving rapidly on the way to becoming an absolute superstar and while he is not as consistent as other top offensive options around the league, he's undoubtedly moving in the right direction in that regard as well. Taking advantage of the fact that Joel Embiid (illness) was sidelined, Maxey embraced a bigger role offensively and led the Sixers to victory. He has scored at least 25 points in four of his last six games, a span in which he also produced a career-best 44 points against the Raptors on Oct. 28.

The 76ers exercised Maxey's $4.34 million option for 2023-24 on Sunday, Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

The 21-year-old is thus on track to return to Philadelphia for a fourth year in 2023-24 before potentially reaching free agency, though there's a good chance that both sides work out an extension prior to next season. While seeing more time off the ball so far in his first full season playing alongside James Harden, Maxey has gotten off to a hot start to the current campaign with averages of 22.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 3.1 three-pointers and 1.1 steals in 37.4 minutes per contest through seven games.

Maxey posted 14 points (5-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal over 29 minutes during Saturday's 114-109 win over the Bulls.

Maxey scored a career-best 44 points against the Raptors on Friday, but the return of Joel Embiid was a sign that he was not going to repeat those numbers. He's connected on an incredible 64.3 percent of his attempts from both the field and distance, and while his efficiency will eventually regress in both areas, Maxey has thus far proven to be a better fit alongside Harden than many expected.

Though Maxey has predictably seen a drop in his assist rate (2.5 per game) in first two contests alongside the newly acquired James Harden, the arrival of the 2017-18 league MVP has enhanced the efficiency of both the young point guard and star center Joel Embiid (37 points Sunday on 7-for-18 shooting from field, 23-for-27 from free-throw line). Given that Maxey has made two-thirds of his field-goal attempts and five of eight three-point attempts (62.5 percent) over the past two contests, he's a prime candidate for regression. Even so, fantasy managers who may have feared that Maxey's value would take a significant hit with the addition of Harden have to be pleasantly surprised by the early returns.

Maxey surpassed the 20-point mark for the second time this month, and the former Kentucky standout continues to shine as a scoring threat for the Sixers. His numbers are likely to take a hit once James Harden (hamstring) makes his debut with the franchise, but Maxey should remain a decent fantasy asset. For what it's worth, he's now scored in double digits in each of his last 17 appearances, averaging 17.9 points per game in that span.

Maxey will continue to run the show in Philly for at least two more games while James Harden (hamstring) goes through his physical and meets with the team over the weekend. Over his past 16 appearances, he's averaged 17.5 points, 5.5 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 38.0 minutes. Fantasy managers should expect those numbers to decrease once Harden is available.

Maxey is questionable for Friday's matchup against the Thunder due to hamstring soreness, Justin Grasso of SI.com reports.

Maxey provided 23 points (9-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Monday's 126-91 loss to the Grizzlies.

Maxey has been one of the biggest surprises for the Sixers this season, starting regularly and often providing solid scoring numbers across the board. Even though he hadn't reached the 20-point mark in quite a while -- the last time before this matchup had been Nov. 22 against the Kings -- it's worth noting he has scored 20 or more points nine times already. That, along with the starting role, explains why he's averaging a career-high 16.7 points per game.

Maxey endured one of his poorest shooting efforts of the campaign, and he finished short of 20 points for just the second time in his past eight games. However, the second-year guard was still able to produce a respectable scoring total thanks to a 9-for-10 performance from the charity stripe. Maxey has failed to reach double-digit scoring only once this season, emerging as a key offensive cog on a Philadelphia team that has had to navigate around Ben Simmons' (personal) absence and injuries to key players throughout the start of the season.

Maxey closed with 24 points (8-22 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 8-8 FT), one rebound, four assists and two steals over 35 minutes during Monday's 102-94 victory over Sacramento.

In the absence of Joel Embiid (COVID-19) and Tobias Harris (hip), Maxey stepped in to lead the Sixers with 24 points. That's not to say that Maxey's scoring is dependent on the absence of his higher-profile teammates -- in fact, the second-year guard has scored 20-plus points in all but one of his past seven contests. Though it's anyone's guess about how the Ben Simmons (personal) situation will play out, Maxey has taken full advantage of his opportunity, posting per-game averages of 18.7 points, 4.6 dimes, 3.6 boards and 1.3 three-pointers on the campaign.

Maxey racked up 28 points (9-17 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 9-9 FT), three rebounds, nine assists and two steals over 35 minutes during Saturday's 118-111 loss to the Trail Blazers.

Though Philadelphia fell to Damian Lillard (39 points) and the Blazers, Maxey once again impressed as the squad's starting point guard. The 21-year-old tied for the team lead with 28 points and paced the club with nine dimes. Over his past five contests, Maxey has excelled with per-game averages of 25.7 points, 4.5 assists, 3.8 boards and 2.2 three-pointers while shooting 56.7 percent from the field.

Maxey amassed 22 points (9-15 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), five rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 35 minutes during Thursday's 103-89 win over the Nuggets.

With Joel Embiid (COVID-19) missing his sixth straight game, Maxey continued to shine as one of the team's primary offensive options. The 6-foot-2 guard led the Sixers in scoring in the contest and also chipped in as a rebounder and distributor. Maxey's second-season breakout continues to gain momentum -- he has scored 20-plus points in four of his past five contests, exceeding the 30-point mark twice in that span.

Maxey closed Tuesday's 120-85 loss to the Jazz with 16 points (7-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt), four rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes.

Maxey snapped a streak of three games with at least 20 points, but he's now scored at least 15 points in five contests in a row. The promising guard is enjoying the extended role he's had this year due to the absence of Ben Simmons (personal) and has established himself as a reliable fantasy asset for Philadelphia. He's averaging 17.5 points, 4.4 assists and 3.7 rebounds in 15 appearances this season.

Maxey closed Saturday's 118-113 loss to the Pacers with 24 points (10-15 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds and three assists over 43 minutes.

The Sixers might have lost in this one, but Maxey had another impressive performance while continuing as a bonafide scoring threat. The 2020 first-round pick carried the Sixers offensively while most of their star players were sidelined, and even though Tobias Harris will be the team's go-to player on offense until further notice, Maxey still has plenty of value given what he's done over the last few games. He has scored at least 20 points in three straight games, and he has surpassed the 15-point mark in five of his last six.

Maxey compiled 33 points (12-19 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 8-8 FT), five assists, four rebounds, two blocks and one steal in 40 minutes during Thursday's 115-109 loss to Toronto.

Maxey's time is now and we are witnessing what has been a fun breakout. With the Ben Simmons saga continuing to roll on, Maxey has firmly established himself as the starting point guard, taking his game to another level. Obviously, he won't be this good every night but the sample size is large enough that we can safely assume he is here to stay when it comes to 12-team fantasy status.

Maxey poured in 31 points (12-24 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block across 39 minutes in a 118-109 loss to the Bucks on Tuesday.

Maxey broke out offensively, exceeding 20 points for the first time this campaign. The 21-year-old has been tasked with a big role in his second season and is performing admirably. He is likely worth a spot on your bench should he remain available. Maxey has been a top-10 asset at the point guard position.

Maxey had 16 points (6-19 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block in a 103-96 loss to the Knicks on Monday.

Maxey played 39 minutes and continues to be a workhorse for Coach Doc Rivers. In the absence of Joel Embiid (COVID-19 protocols), Maxey attempted a season-high 19 shots. His rest-of-season outlook is murky, but with so many missing pieces and uncertainty in Philadelphia, Maxey can be streamed with confidence in the short term, as well as rostered in deeper leagues.

Maxey notched 10 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt), eight assists, three rebounds, a steal and a block across 44 minutes in Saturday's win over Chicago.

Maxey extended his streak of games with double-digit points to six contests, but he hasn't reached the 15-point mark in three of his last four. Either way, the former Kentucky standout has embraced the bigger role he's handled in the first weeks of the season and has scored in double digits in all but one of his 10 appearances while scoring 14.2 points across 34.7 minutes per tilt.

Maxey finished with 20 points (8-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists, four rebounds and two steals over a whopping 45 minutes on Thursday in a 109-98 win over the Pistons.

The 76ers leaned on an eight man rotation while lacking Danny Green (hamstring) and Furkan Korkmaz (wrist). Maxey played nearly all 48 minutes, symbolizing a lot of trust from 76ers brass and setting up a desirable fantasy situation. Anytime Philadelphia is shorthanded, Maxey is a top streaming candidate. He is a fringe roster candidate in standard leagues.

Maxey had his 2022-23 option picked up by the team Friday, Derek Bodner of The Athletic report.

The second-year guard has done a solid job filling in for Ben Simmons to start the season and Philadelphia has picked up his option for next season. The move ensures that Maxey will be with the 76ers organization next year. The Kentucky product is averaging 14.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 33.0 minutes per game through his first five appearances of the year.

Maxey had his best and most complete game since the season-opener and was even able to record his first multi-block game of the year. The Sixers were able to return Shake Milton to the floor Thursday after he missed the first four games with a sprained left ankle. Having Milton back will likely cut into Maxey's usage as the team brings him back up to speed. It's unclear if the team plans to eventually swap the two in the starting lineup. Regardless, Maxey is due for nice progression in year two whether it's as a starter or a reserve.

Maxey totaled 14 points (4-13 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one block in 34 minutes during Sunday's 115-103 victory over Oklahoma City.

Maxey appears to have secured himself the starting point guard position, at least until we get some clarity on the Ben Simmons situation. The playing time has been consistent thus far, although he is yet to fully embrace his new role. Those in standard leagues should view him as a fringe asset who could build on what has been a serviceable start to the season.

Maxey appears to be in line to start at point guard Wednesday night against New Orleans.

With Shake Milton (ankle) already ruled out and Ben Simmons suspended one game for conduct detrimental to the team, Maxey should have a clear path to opening the year as Philadelphia's starting point guard. At the start of camp, it looked like Maxey may be able to hold that role long-term, but he was eventually usurped by Milton, and the unexpected return of Simmons throws another wrench into the situation. As unlikely as it once seemed, Simmons could return to his starting gig once he serves the suspension and is back up to speed. His debut could come as early as Friday against Brooklyn.

It's no secret that the Sixers are high on the 2020 first-round pick, who appeared in 61 games and averaged 8.0 points and 2.0 assists as a rookie last season. But with Ben Simmons away from the team and almost certainly on his way out of Philadelphia, Maxey looks to be first in line to replace the three-time All-Star as the Sixers' starting point guard. Maxey, who recently denied a report that he requested out of Philly, will likely compete with Shake Milton for the starting job throughout training camp, but at this stage it appears the Kentucky product has the early advantage. Regardless of how it plays out, Maxey should be set for a significantly increased role in Year 2.

Maxey has been inconsistent so far in the series but reached the 15-point plateau for the first time Monday -- it was also the first time he was able to play more than 20 minutes. Maxey might be in line for a bigger role off the bench if the Sixers end up missing Joel Embiid (knee) for Game 5 on Wednesday.

Maxey turned in 30 points (11-19 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), seven rebounds, six assts, a steal and a blocked shot across 35 minutes in Sunday's 128-117 win over the Magic.

The Sixers sat all of their starters, but it didn't matter much against the injury-riddled Magic. Although it was a meaningless game for the top seed in the East, Maxey delivered a reminder of why he was Philly's first-round pick this season. It will be exciting to see how Maxey performs after a full season and some playoff experience. Assuming Ben Simmons remains with the squad, a one-two punch of Maxey and Simmons in the backcourt could make for a dominating duo moving forward.

Over that stretch, Maxey has averaged 15.0 points, 4.7 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game.

Maxey registered 22 points (7-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 6-7 FT), five rebounds, four assists, two steals and a blocked shot cross 35 minutes in Saturday's 118-104 win over the Pistons.

The rookie out of Kentucky drew the start for Ben Simmons (back) and turned in a very effective game. Maxey would probably be a Rookie of the Year candidate on another team, but he's spent his first season amidst Philly's crowded backcourt depth chart. The first-round pick will only see worthwhile fantasy value if a major backcourt injury occurs.

Maxey will start at point guard Saturday against the Pistons, Marc Narducci of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Saturday will mark Maxey's first start since Jan. 20, as Ben Simmons (back) has been ruled out. In Maxey's six prior starts, he's averaged 16.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 30.5 minutes.

Maxey totaled 12 points (4-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven assists and four rebounds in a 135-115 victory over the Rockets on Wednesday.

Maxey scored in double figures for the seventh time in his last nine contests and was also effective as a distributor. The guard played 22 minutes, including the entire fourth, with Philadelphia having a sizable lead entering the final period. Maxey has had an inconsistent role in the rotation, but he's averaged 9.3 points and 2.5 assists across his last 10 games.

Maxey had 11 points (4-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five assists and a steal across 19 minutes off the bench in Thursday's loss at Milwaukee.

Maxey has scored in double digits in each of his last three appearances off the bench, though he was held to single-digit figures in six straight games before this run. While he's shown the ability to put up points in bunches when given enough minutes, Maxey is not playing -- or producing -- enough to be a factor in most formats. He's averaging 6.6 points across 14.2 minutes per game during the current month.

Maxey played 31 minutes off the bench and contributed 14 points (5-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block during Wednesday's 116-113 loss to the Suns.

Despite coming off the bench, Maxey saw nearly as much playing time as every starter while out scoring three of them. He's posted consecutive double-digit performances for the first time since doing so in six straight outings from Jan. 9 - 16. Given that Maxey was only seeing an average of 11.0 minutes of playing time in April prior to Wednesday's game, it could be that his 31 minutes was a fluke.

Maxey played the final 31 seconds of Friday's 101-94 loss to the Pelicans, recording two points (1-1 FG) and no other statistics.

Since sitting out the 76ers' April 4 loss to the Grizzlies due to the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols, Maxey has been available for the team's subsequent two contests. He's found himself outside of the rotation in both games, not checking into either contest until the final minute. The rookie first-round pick looks to be the 76ers' fifth guard behind Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Shake Milton and Furkan Korkmaz.

Maxey (COVID-19 protocols) will play Tuesday against the Celtics, Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

While he'll need to begin receiving consistent minutes to become more of a factor in fantasy leagues, there's no denying that the Kentucky product can contribute across multiple categories.

Maxey finished with six points (3-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt) in Monday night's loss to Utah.

The rookie had a nice run of fantasy success in mid-January amid COVID-19 absences, but with the Sixers back to full strength, he's been relegated to a more-limited role off the bench. Maxey has just two double-digit scoring games over his last 10, and he's hit only three of his last 16 attempts from beyond the arc.

Maxey scored 17 points (6-12 FG, 2-3 3PT, 3-3 FT) to go along with two rebounds, two assists and three steals across 21 minutes in Monday's loss to the Pistons.

Both Ben Simmons and Shake Milton ran into foul trouble, opening a path to minutes for Maxey. After seeing only six and 13 minutes respectively in his last two games due to Seth Curry's return, Maxey once again flashed his scoring potential with an increased role. When the Sixers are fully healthy, Maxey isn't likely to see big minutes. However, when given the opportunity, he's shown plenty of ability as a playmaker and is worth monitoring as a result.

Maxey played six minutes Friday in the 76ers' 122-110 win over the Celtics, contributing two points (1-1 FG) and three rebounds.

With Seth Curry (conditioning, COVID-19) returning from a seven-game absence, Maxey moved back to the bench following a run of six straight starts. Maxey's playing time had already been declining steadily with the 76ers having returned several missing rotation players to the lineup in recent games, but the fact that the rookie received just six minutes -- his fewest in any game this season -- was startling. Furkan Korkmaz (17 minutes) wasn't particularly effective during his time on the court and cede some of his playing time to Maxey in future contests, but the first-round pick out of Kentucky won't be in store for nearly enough minutes in the near future to justify being held in standard leagues.

The rookie has now seen his playing time decline for three games in a row, and he could have his minutes squeezed even more once Seth Curry (conditioning) is cleared to play.

Maxey will start Thursday's game against the Heat.

The Sixers are still without Seth Curry (COVID-19), but they do get several regulars back for Thursday's game, including Shake Milton, Matisse Thybulle and Tobias Harris. Doc Rivers will stick with Maxey over Milton at shooting guard, meaning the rookie will be in the starting five for the fourth straight game. Though he remained in the lineup for the third straight game, Maxey saw his usage dip from 30.7 and 24 percent in the previous two contests to 22.7 percent Tuesday while Ben Simmons (knee) checked back into the lineup after a two-game absence. Simmons battled foul trouble throughout the game, and the 76ers still only had nine players available for the contest, so Maxey was able to see enough playing time to produce another solid stat line. Expect Maxey to see another drop in usage and a more significant decline in playing time in Thursday's rematch with Miami, as the 76ers are expected to return Tobias Harris, Shake Milton and Matisse Thybulle from the NBA's health and safety protocol.

Maxey went for 15 points (7-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, four assists and two blocks over 31 minutes during Monday's 112-94 loss to the Hawks.

While it wasn't a 39-point performance, Maxey still produced and respectable stat line in Monday's loss. With the 76ers shorthanded over their last two games, Maxey's production has increased drastically, averaging 27 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5 assists over 37.5 minutes per game.

Maxey recorded 39 points (18-33 FG, 3-8 3PT), seven rebounds, six assists and two steals in 44 minutes in the 115-103 loss to Denver on Saturday.

Maxey exploded onto the scene as the best shooter for Philly in the loss Saturday. The Kentucky product has been receiving some increased time lately and was given his first start after multiple players had to sit out due to injury or COVID protocol. Maxey surely did not disappoint and not only did he have the hot hand, but he also held his own in the paint. With this performance, it would not be a surprise if the rookie is given a bigger role as the season continues.

Maxey will start Saturday's game against the Nuggets, Derek Bodner of The Athletic reports.

Maxey will get the nod with a myriad of Sixers players sidelined due to injury and COVID-19 protocols. In the four games this season that he's seen at least 20 minutes, he's averaging 10.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals.

Maxey scored 16 points (7-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt) to go with three rebounds, two assists one steal and one block across 20 minutes in a 122-109 loss to Brooklyn on Thursday.

Maxey attempted and made his most field goals of the season with Seth Curry missing the game due to ankle soreness. The rookie has averaged 5.8 points per game this season, a total that increases to 9.0 points per game in contests in which Maxey eclipses 20 minutes played. The first-round pick has also averaged 1.0 steals per game in his 21.3 minutes per game.

Coach Doc Rivers said Tuesday that Maxey will be a part of the Sixers' rotation to begin the season, Rich Hofmann of The Athletic reports. "He has shown himself well," Rivers said. "He will get minutes."

The rookie out of Kentucky apparently made a positive impression during training camp, and it looks like he'll work his way into the rotation -- likely as the Sixers' fifth guard behind Ben Simmons, Shake Milton, Seth Curry and Danny Green. Size-wise, Maxey profiles as more of a point guard, but he brings excellent energy on the defensive end, so he could be tasked with guarding opposing shooting guards, as well.

Maxey, after testing positive for COVID-19, had to go through league protocols. He's cleared those, and he's now able to practice with the 76ers.
