After announcing its partnership with MGM back in October 2022, Play’n Go has revealed it will grant MGM exclusive use of its popular coin and piggy bank-themed online slot game, Piggy Blitz.
It’s a Deal
BetMGM picked up online slot titles like Ankh of Anubis, Cat Wilde and the Lost Chapter, Cash Pump, and Blinged in the New Jersey gaming market when they partnered with gaming software provider Play’n GO.
Partnering with a major online operator like BetMGM was a coup for the Swedish-based company and Magnus Olsson, Chief Commercial Officer for Play’n GO, said at the time:
“We’ve only been live in the US for a few short weeks, and we are already gaining significant momentum. BetMGM needs no introduction, as one of the most trusted names in US gaming. This partnership gives a large New Jersey audience access to some of the most popular online slots in the world, including Book of Dead.”
Play’n Go debuted in America in July 2022 when it entered the Michigan market and subsequently teamed with PokerStars in September of this year to plant its flag in the New Jersey market.
Upon getting their first license in Michigan, Play’n GO chief executive Johan Törnqvist stated:
“This is a landmark moment in the history of Play’n GO. Our aim is to see Play’n GO games become as beloved in the US as they are in every other regulated market around the world.”
Piggy Blitz Grows Partnership
But now another title has been added to BetMGM’s ever-expanding list of digital slot offerings. Piggy Blitz is the most recent Play’n Go blockbuster and BetMGM’s New Jersey and Michigan customers will have exclusive access to it through January 18th. After that, the popular digital release will be available to all U.S. online gaming operators in those markets.
Magnus Natt och Dag, Commercial Director North America, Play’n GO, said in a press release: “Our partnership with BetMGM has been highly successful for both parties to this point, so we’re pleased to use this exclusive game launch to demonstrate our commitment to further joint success.
Piggy Blitz has proven extremely popular with players in our other jurisdictions, so we’re confident that we can replicate that success here in the US. BetMGM’s players have made it abundantly clear that they enjoy our content, and Piggy Blitz is sure to replicate that success in 2024.”
The title was released in September and it is a six-reel, four-row, game offering 4,096 different ways to win. The Blitz Spinz bonus feature allows a player up to 50 free spins who can hoard their coins in a virtual piggy bank where they can win up to 5000 times their stake.
Still Growing
Play’n Go has four licensees in the United States and operates in 25 jurisdictions worldwide. The company currently has a portfolio of approximately 300 titles and continues to expand its base.
BetMGM and Play’n Go are also present in the West Virginia online casino market as well. In September of this year, Play’n Go’s Magnus Natt och Dag said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer our game catalog to players in West Virginia, and we’re confident that players there will love engaging with our content.”
