Elijah Moore Injury News & Updates
Keep up with the latest injuries from the Bills vs Texans game on Thursday with our National Football League injury report.Nov 16, 2025
Inactive Sunday
Moore is inactive for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
With Keon Coleman and Moore both being healthy scratches Sunday, Khalil Shakir, Joshua Palmer, Gabe Davis, Tyrell Shavers, Curtis Samuel and Mecole Hardman will handle the Bills' Week 11 WR duties.
Nov 12, 2025
Makes two catches in loss to Miami
Moore secured both of his targets for nine yards during Buffalo's loss to the Dolphins in Week 10.
ANALYSIS
Moore continues to handle a depth gig in Buffalo's pass-catching corps, and he figures to reprise a similar role at home against the Buccaneers on Sunday. Across three regular-season appearances since the Bills' bye, Moore has tallied four grabs for 51 yards on seven targets.
Nov 3, 2025
Minimal output in win
Moore caught his lone target for 28 yards during Sunday's 28-21 win over the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Moore appeared to be in line for more opportunities in Week 9 with Joshua Palmer (knee) sidelined for the second consecutive game. However, the Ole Miss product operated as the team's No. 5 wideout, playing behind Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, Tyrell Shavers and Curtis Samuel. Through seven appearances this season, Moore has caught six of 12 targets for 106 yards and rushed five times for 25 yards and a touchdown. He'll likely continue to play a depth role in Buffalo's receiving corps heading into the Week 10 matchup against the Dolphins.
Nov 2, 2025
No. 3 receiver again Sunday
Moore is slated to work as the No. 3 receiver in Sunday's Week 9 matchup against the Chiefs due to Joshua Palmer being ruled inactive due to a knee injury.
ANALYSIS
Moore worked in a No. 3 capacity in a Week 8 blowout win over the Panthers, bringing in one of four targets for 14 yards across 29 snaps. With Sunday's game expected to be much more competitive and Josh Allen potentially pushed into a higher pass rate than usual, Moore, who has a 5-78-0 line on 11 targets over his first six games in Buffalo, could be a beneficiary as a tertiary option in the air attack.
Oct 27, 2025
Draws four targets in Week 8
Moore caught one of four targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 40-9 win over the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
With Joshua Palmer (knee) sidelined in Week 8, Moore had an expanded offensive role and logged his second-highest snap count of the season (29 offensive snaps). The Ole Miss product has now caught five of 11 targets for 78 yards and rushed five times for 25 yards and a touchdown across six appearances this year. He may be in line for another increased role in the Week 9 matchup against the Chiefs if Palmer remains out.
Oct 14, 2025
Mistake-prone Week 6
Moore failed to catch either of his two targets in Monday night's loss to the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
With Curtis Samuel (neck) inactive and Joshua Palmer (ankle) going down in the first half, Moore saw increased action on offense, totaling 14 snaps. However, he was unable to corral either targets and also muffed a handoff on a fourth-and-short jet sweep. Moore has five catches for 25 yards and one touchdown on seven targets this season.
Oct 13, 2025
Active against Atlanta
Moore is active for Monday night's game against the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Moore was healthy inactive last Sunday night against New England, but with Curtis Samuel (neck) out Monday night, Moore will draw back into the lineup. Moore has four catches for 64 scoreless yards this season.
Oct 5, 2025
Inactive Sunday
Moore (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday night's contest against the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Moore will be a healthy scratch in Week 5, heading to the bench after failing to garner a target over 18 offensive snaps in the team's 31-19 win over the Saints in Week 4. The wide receiver has caught four of five targets for 64 yards, while also adding 25 yards and a score over five carries, through four games this season.
Sep 29, 2025
No targets vs. New Orleans
Moore rushed once for no yards during Sunday's 31-19 win over the Saints.
ANALYSIS
The 2021 second-round pick from Ole Miss has now tallied 25 rushing yards on the season, receiving a carry in all of Buffalo's games. However, the 25-year-old played fewer offensive snaps (18) than Curtis Samuel (20), who caught one of two targets for nine yards in Week 4. Moore is now likely serving as the Bills' No. 5 wideout and will continue to play a depth role in a Week 5 matchup against the Patriots.
Sep 19, 2025
Catches two passes in TNF victory
Moore caught two of three targets for 30 yards in Buffalo's 31-21 win over the Dolphins on Thursday night. He added one rush for 11 yards.
ANALYSIS
Moore operated as the Bills' WR4 against Miami, seeing 14 offensive snaps. Buffalo spreads the ball around so much that it's nearly impossible to predict target shares for the Bills. Moore is little more than an end-of-bench option in the deepest of PPR fantasy leagues.
Sep 17, 2025
Three touches in win
Moore caught his lone target for 31 yards and carried the ball twice for six yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-10 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Moore followed up his quiet season opener with a better statistical day Sunday, finding the end zone for the first time this season. With that said, the veteran wideout was still mostly an afterthought in the Bills offensive scheme, targeted just once in the passing game while playing just 40 percent of Buffalo's offensive snaps. Moore's limited role in the offense makes him very difficult to trust for fantasy purposes heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Dolphins.
Sep 10, 2025
Minimal production against Ravens
Moore caught his lone target for three yards in Sunday's 40-41 win over the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Moore was not a significant part of the Bills' offensive game plan in Week 1. The veteran played just 12 offensive snaps in the contest, the fewest of any wideout who saw action Sunday. Currently sitting at fourth on the wide receiver depth chart behind Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir and Joshua Palmer, Moore faces an uphill battle for playing time this season. The 25-year-old should remain off the fantasy radar heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Jets.
Aug 23, 2025
Three catches in preseason finale
Moore brought in three of four targets for eight yards in the Bills' 23-19 preseason win over the Buccaneers on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
Moore started the game for the Bills and worked with fourth-string quarterback Shane Buechele, recording multiple receptions for the first time this preseason. The 2021 second-round pick of the Jets is expected to play an important complementary role in his debut campaign in Buffalo after compiling 120 receptions over 34 regular-season games with the Browns the last two years, with Moore likely to open the season as the No. 4 receiver.
Aug 18, 2025
Struggles with four targets
Moore had one reception on four targets for five yards in Sunday's preseason loss to the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Moore struggled to get on the same page with Buffalo's backup quarterbacks Sunday, finishing with a poor catch rate in the preseason loss. The 25-year-old is looking to nab one of the Bills' vacant backup WR spots after performing well in that role previously with the Jets and Browns. Moore appears to be fully over the leg injury that plagued him earlier in camp as Buffalo prepares to face Tampa Bay in its final preseason game Saturday.
Jul 31, 2025
Practicing Thursday
Moore (leg) is participating in Thursday's practice, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore had sat out practices since Sunday due to leg soreness, but as foreshadowed by GM Brandon Beane on Wednesday, he's now back on the field and taking reps. The Bills have a solidified No. 1 receiver in Khalil Shakir, and 2024 second-round pick Keon Coleman seems like the favorite for the No. 2 role, but beyond that Moore faces opportunity, with Joshua Palmer and Curtis Samuel (hamstring) representing his top competition. Moore quietly compiled over 100 targets in each of the last two years, both while suiting up for all 17 regular-season games in Cleveland.
Jul 30, 2025
Could practice this week
Bills GM Brandon Beane said Wednesday that Moore (leg) may be able to resume practicing Thursday or Friday, Ryan O'Halloran of The Buffalo News reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore hasn't practiced since Sunday due to general leg soreness, but it doesn't appear Buffalo anticipates him being sidelined much longer. The 2021 second-round pick inked a one-year, $5 million deal with the Bills in May and appears to be competing for the No. 3 or No. 4 receiver role, though Buffalo's WR corps isn't particularly solidified beyond No. 1 option Khalil Shakir. Meanwhile, Beane said Curtis Samuel (hamstring) could return "sooner rather than later," albeit not as quickly as Moore.
Jul 27, 2025
Minor leg issue
Moore sat out Sunday's practice due to general leg soreness, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore, one of the Bills' bigger free-agency pickups this past offseason, will be competing for slotting once healthy. He appears most likely to land a spot with the team in the No. 3 or No. 4 spot, though second-year player Keon Coleman could be overtaken if Moore or fellow free-agent add Joshua Palmer has a strong preseason. Khalil Shakir is the team's clear-cut No. 1 wide receiver.
Apr 30, 2025
Bolsters Bills WR corps
Moore is slated to sign with the Bills, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Schefter, Moore's one-year deal is worth up to $5 million. The 2021 second-rounder put up a 61/538/1 receiving line in 17 games with the Browns last season, and with Buffalo the 5-foot-10, 180-pounder will give QB Josh Allen another viable option in a wideout corps that also includes Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Joshua Palmer and Curtis Samuel. Moore's fantasy upside in 2025 hinges on securing steady snaps, but PPR relevance in deeper formats could be in reach if he's able to build a strong rapport with Allen.
Apr 28, 2025
Gets tagged by Browns
The Browns have applied the unrestricted free-agent tender to Moore, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
If Moore ends up signing with another team by June 21, the transaction will count toward the NFL compensatory draft pick formula. This is notable because Moore had an official visit with the Bills on Monday. A 2021 second-round pick of the Jets, Moore was a regular in the Browns' receiving corps the last two seasons, racking up 120 catches (on 205 targets) for 1,178 yards and three touchdowns in 17 regular-season games.
Jan 4, 2025
Limited production in finale
Moore recorded three receptions on five targets for 36 yards in Saturday's 35-10 loss to the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Moore served as Cleveland's third pass catcher, but with poor quarterback play, that didn't amount to much production. He ends the season in disappointing fashion, having failed to top 35 receiving yards in five consecutive games. Nevertheless, Moore did set a career-high with 61 catches on the season and he'll be set to enter free agency for the first time this offseason.
Dec 30, 2024
Another forgettable game
Moore caught one of five targets for one yard in Sunday's 20-3 loss to Miami in Week 17.
ANALYSIS
Following a brief spasm of production in the middle of the season, when Jameis Winston took over as the starting quarterback, Moore has provided little of late. He's caught five of 15 targets for 21 yards over the last three games, with Dorian Thompson-Robinson atop the depth chart. The lack of production comes at a time when both Cedric Tillman (concussion) and David Njoku (knee) were inactive or limited by injury.
Dec 22, 2024
Two catches in Week 16 loss
Moore secured two of five targets for 21 yards in the Browns' 24-6 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Dorian Thompson-Robinson's ascension to the starting quarterback job didn't really do any Browns pass catchers any favors with the exception of David Njoku, as is evident in Moore's pedestrian receiving line. The fourth-year pro actually outpaced Jerry Jeudy, who'd been on a torrid pace with Jameis Winston (shoulder) under center, by two targets and one receiving yard Sunday, but that didn't amount to any tangible fantasy value. Moore could be headed to even more unremarkable numbers in Week 17 when the Dolphins come to town, due both to Miami's talented secondary and the fact Cedric Tillman (concussion) may be ready to return to action.
Dec 15, 2024
Forgettable stat line in loss
Moore secured two of six targets for minus-1 yard in the Browns' 21-7 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Moore finished second in targets on the afternoon for the Browns, but as his final line demonstrates, he did less than nothing the two times he secured catches. Cleveland suffered from highly ineffective quarterback play Sunday with Jameis Winston and Dorian Thompson-Robinson throwing a combined four interceptions, leaving the team's other pass catchers outside of Jerry Jeudy from capitalizing on the absences of Cedric Tillman (concussion) and David Njoku (hamstring). Moore will likely revert to his No. 3 receiver role in a Week 16 road matchup against the Bengals if Tillman is cleared to suit up.
Dec 8, 2024
Limited to three catches
Moore recorded three receptions on four targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 27-14 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Moore was expected to benefit from condensed targets in the absence of Cedric Tillman (concussion). That wasn't the case against the Steelers, however, as Jameis Winston targeted seven different pass catchers multiple times. That left Moore with a mediocre line, and he's now had 35 or fewer receiving yards in two of his last four games.
Dec 6, 2024
Clear for Week 14
Moore (shoulder) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore opened Week 14 prep with a limited listing on Wednesday's practice estimate due to a shoulder injury. While he upgraded to full participation Thursday and maintained that activity level Friday, fellow WR Cedric Tillman (concussion) didn't log any on-field work this week and has been ruled out for Sunday's contest. As a result, Moore will have less competition for passes from QB Jameis Winston, though he likely will rank behind WR Jerry Jeudy and TE David Njoku in the pecking order.
Dec 5, 2024
Turns in full practice
Moore (shoulder) was a full practice participant Thursday.
ANALYSIS
The Browns listed Moore as a limited participant on Wednesday's estimated injury report, but the wideout cleared up any concern about his health by taking every rep a day later. Moore tied or set season highs in receptions (eight), receiving yards (114) and targets (14) in the Browns' Week 13 loss to the Broncos, and he could be in store for another busy day Sunday in Pittsburgh. Cedric Tillman (concussion) has yet to take part in practice this week and looks to be trending toward a second straight absence, which would leave more looks in the passing game available for Moore and Jerry Jeudy.
Dec 4, 2024
Listed with minor shoulder injury
Moore (shoulder) was estimated as a limited practice participant Wednesday, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Browns listed Moore with a shoulder injury for Week 12 but not Week 13, and he continued riding the Jameis Winston wave with season highs for receiving yards (111) and targets (14) in a 41-32 loss at Denver on Sunday. Moore is averaging 5.6 catches for 62.2 yards on 9.6 targets in Winston's starts, albeit with just one TD in five games. Week 14 could be another busy one for Moore and Jerry Jeudy, especially if fellow wideout Cedric Tillman missed a second straight game in concussion protocol (Tillman was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's walkthrough).
Dec 3, 2024
Second 100-yard game of career
Moore brought in eight of 14 targets for 111 yards in the Browns' 41-32 loss to the Broncos on Monday night. He also rushed once for one yard.
ANALYSIS
With Cedric Tillman (concussion) unavailable, Moore stepped up to produce his first 100-yard effort since Week 11 of his 2021 rookie season with the Jets. The veteran wideout has posted his three best receiving yardage totals of the season with Jameis Winston as his quarterback, as Monday night's effort was preceded by 85- and 66-yard tallies in Weeks 8 and 11, respectively. If Tillman remains sidelined for Sunday's Week 14 road rematch with the Steelers, Moore could play another significant role in that divisional clash.
Nov 22, 2024
Three grabs in win
Moore brought in three of five targets for 21 yards in the Browns' 24-19 win over the Steelers on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Moore's fellow receiver Cedric Tillman exited Thursday's contest in the third quarter with what was ultimately diagnosed as a concussion, which may have helped lead to a couple of extra targets for Moore in the fourth quarter. One of those was intercepted by Donte Jackson at the Steelers' 22-yard line with 4:28 remaining, but Cleveland was able to eventually mount a game-winning touchdown drive on the next possession. Moore's overall numbers actually represented a downturn to varying degree to those he'd generated in Jameis Winston's first four games under center, but he could be in line for a larger role in a Week 13 road matchup against the Broncos on Monday night, Dec. 2 if there's better weather and/or Tillman is unavailable for that contest.
Nov 20, 2024
No injury designation
Moore (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Thursday's game against the Steelers, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore came out of Sunday's loss at New Orleans with a shoulder injury that's apparently minor. His volume and production both have spiked since Jameis Winston took over as Cleveland's starting quarterback, but the fantasy outlook for Week 12 is subdued by a matchup with Pittsburgh's excellent defense as well as forecasts for bad weather in Cleveland on Thursday.
Nov 19, 2024
Stays limited on practice report
The Browns listed Moore (shoulder) as a limited practice participant Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Moore has now gone down as a limited participant on both of the Browns' first two Week 12 injury reports, but the team hasn't yet suggested that he's in any danger of missing Thursday's game against the Steelers. The fourth-year wideout has enjoyed his best run of production of the season since Jameis Winston took over as the Browns' starting quarterback Week 8, recording 17 receptions for 179 yards and a touchdown on 29 targets over the past three contests.
Nov 18, 2024
Appears on Week 12 injury report
The Browns listed Moore as a limited participant on Monday's estimated practice report due to a shoulder injury, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Cleveland didn't hold a practice session one day after Sunday's 35-14 loss to New Orleans, but Moore would have had his reps capped had the Browns taken the field. The Browns aren't likely to hold anything more than walk-through sessions or light practices Tuesday and Wednesday, but assuming Moore is listed as either a limited or full participant on those days, he should be ready to play in Thursday's game against the Steelers. In the three games since Jameis Winston has taken over for Deshaun Watson (Achilles) as the Browns' starting quarterback, Moore has produced a 17-179-1 receiving line on 29 targets, with his yardage total exceeding his combined output (136 yards) from Cleveland's first seven games of the season.
Nov 17, 2024
Finds end zone in New Orleans
Moore caught six of eight targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 35-14 loss to the Saints,
ANALYSIS
The fourth-year wideout was on the other end of a 30-yard Jameis Winston TD in the third quarter, giving Moore his first score of the season. In three games with Winston as the Browns' starting QB, Moore has racked up a 17-179-1 line on 29 targets, giving him intriguing upside for the rest of 2024. He faces a tougher matchup in Week 12 against the Steelers, however.
Nov 4, 2024
Lots of targets, few catches
Moore caught three of nine targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 27-10 loss to the Chargers in Week 9.
ANALYSIS
Moore has received healthy level of targets the last three weeks, averaging nine per contest, and amassed 154 yards during that stretch. That increase in attention was expected after the Browns traded Amari Cooper but not warranted. Outside of a few random efforts during Moore's 26-game stay in Cleveland, he's been unremarkable. The wide receiver is in the final year of a two-year contract and could be a candidate for trade with the NFL deadline looming Tuesday.
Oct 27, 2024
Target leader in win
Moore caught eight of 12 targets for 81 yards in Sunday's 29-24 win over the Ravens in Week 8.
ANALYSIS
Moore established season highs in catches, targets and yards, and he wasn't the only receiver to benefit from Jameis Winston taking over at quarterback for the injured Deshaun Watson (Achilles). Winston wasn't perfect -- he lost a fumble and two passes could easily have been intercepted -- but he guided the offense to its most points scored this season and made onlookers wonder what could have been had head coach Kevin Stefanski replaced Watson sooner. Moore has 14 catches on 18 targets for 122 yards the last two weeks and may have resuscitated a season that had been going nowhere after the first six games.
Oct 20, 2024
Seven targets in loss
Moore caught six of seven targets for 41 yards in Sunday's 21-14 loss to Cincinnati.
ANALYSIS
The last time Moore saw significant activity like this was in Week 2. Sunday was the Browns' first game since they traded Amari Cooper to Buffalo, and Moore was expected to see more opportunities. In fact, Sunday's production was greater than his previous three weeks combined. That's the good news. The not-so-good news is that second-year wideout Cedric Tillman (12 targets, eight catches) emerged as a viable competitor for the available targets going forward, and quarterback Deshaun Watson (Achilles') could be done for the season.
Oct 16, 2024
Not on injury report
Moore (rib) doesn't appear on the Browns' Week 7 injury report.
ANALYSIS
Per Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com, head coach Kevin Stefanski relayed after this Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Eagles that Moore was dealing with a rib issue, however that's evidently not a concern for the wideout as this weekend's contest against the Bengals approaches. Through six games to date, Moore has caught 16 of his 23 targets for 95 yards, but going forward he could see added opportunities in Cleveland's offense following the departure Amari Cooper, who led the team with 53 targets prior to the his trade to the Bills on Tuesday.
Oct 13, 2024
Dealing with rib issue
Following Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Eagles, coach Kevin Stefanski noted that Moore is dealing with a rib injury, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore finished up the contest with one catch for three yards. Look for added context regarding the wideout's injury to arrive no later than Wednesday, but if he's out or limited next weekend against the Bengals, Cedric Tillman would be a candidate for added Week 6 snaps.
Oct 7, 2024
Four targets in loss
Moore caught three of four targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 34-13 loss to Washington in Week 5.
ANALYSIS
Moore continued to be a distant third at wide receiver behind Amari Cooper and Jerry Jeudy, This was the fourth time in five games that Moore had 17 receiving yards or fewer. The one bright note is he got his first red-zone target of the season. He has just 92 yards through five weeks, eight targets over the last three games, and a 4.5 average depth of target.
Sep 30, 2024
One touch in loss
Moore caught his lone target for 11 yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to Las Vegas in Week 4.
ANALYSIS
Moore's touch came on the Browns' first drive -- perhaps their best of the season -- and converted a 3rd-and-10. But that was the end of his involvement. He opened the season with 14 targets over the first two weeks, but Moore has lagged behind Amari Cooper and Jerry Jeudy and been targeted just four times the last two games. Until the Browns can get the erratic offense going -- Cleveland has yet to score more than 20 points in a game, and the defense was responsible for one of its four touchdowns -- Moore does not appear to be a viable fantasy asset.
Sep 23, 2024
Season-low three targets
Moore caught two of three targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 21-15 loss to the Giants in Week 3.
ANALYSIS
For the second time in three games, Moore was held to fewer than 20 yards. His one productive effort was in Week 2's win over the Jaguars, when the Browns showed a more balanced offense, though far from a highly functioning unit. That side of the ball is a growing concern early on. Cleveland hasn't cracked the 20-point mark, head coach Kevin Stefanski appears reluctant to establish the ground game, the offensive line is banged up, and quarterback Deshaun Watson has disappointed. Moore has eight fewer targets and 58 fewer yards through three weeks than he had at this time in 2023, but that was expected after the Browns added Jerry Jeudy during the offseason. Perhaps a better run/pass mix and a better performing quarterback could result in Moore being a reliable and viable fantasy wideout.
Sep 15, 2024
Commands eight targets
Moore recorded six receptions on eight targets for 44 yards in Sunday's 18-13 win over the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Moore tied with Amari Cooper for the team lead in targets, and he served as Deshaun Watson's favorite target in the short areas of the field. Five of his six catches went for fewer than 10 yards, and even his 22-yard reception came primarily after the catch. Moore will remain involved in the offense so long as Deshaun Watson is under center, but he's not likely to post high yardage totals.
Sep 9, 2024
Quiet in season opener
Moore caught three of six targets for nine yards in Sunday's 33-17 loss to Dallas in Week 1.
ANALYSIS
Moore was part of a big three at wideout, playing 71 snaps, fewer than only Amari Cooper (72) and more than Jerry Jeudy (62). None of the three had great success in the opener, but Jeudy was able to salvage his fantasy day with a touchdown. At the very least, it looks like Moore is the third wideout, ahead of Cedric Tillman (26). It's early in Moore's second season with the Browns, and he hasn't had the luxury of playing with the best version of quarterback Deshaun Watson, but things haven't panned out as the team envisioned when it traded for Moore ahead of the 2023 season.
Aug 25, 2024
Draws start in preseason finale
Moore secured his only target for seven yards and rushed once for one yard in the Browns' 37-33 preseason loss to the Seahawks on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
The veteran speedster drew the start with Amari Cooper and Jerry Jeudy sitting and was able to get some preseason action before heading into Week 1 as the likely No. 3 receiver behind his two teammates. Moore battled through a quarterback carousel in his 2023 Browns debut campaign to post a career-best 59 receptions and 640 yards, adding two touchdowns, 11 rushing yards and 23 punt-return yards across 17 regular-season contests. Moore could be headed for similar production in 2024, although the play of Deshaun Watson will naturally play a major factor in the fortunes of all of Cleveland's skill players, for better or worse.
Aug 6, 2024
Back at practice
Moore (concussion) participated in team drills Tuesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore had been working through concussion protocol, but the wideout is back in action and could potentially see some snaps in Saturday's preseason opener against the Packers. As the regular season approaches, Moore, Cedric Tillman, David Bell and Jamari Thrash are competing for slotting behind fellow WRs Amari Cooper and Jerry Jeudy.
Aug 4, 2024
In concussion protocol
Moore is working his way through concussion protocol, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski didn't specify that Moore has a concussion, so it's possible that his placement in protocol is precautionary. The wideout left practice early Friday and was subsequently evaluated for a concussion. It remains to be seen if he'll be ready to play in Cleveland's first preseason game against Green Bay on Aug. 10.
Aug 2, 2024
Exits practice early
Coach Kevin Stefanski noted that Moore is being evaluated for a concussion after leaving Friday's practice early, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With Moore having potentially suffered a concussion, consider the wideout day-to-day as the Browns' Aug. 10 preseason opener against the Packers approaches. When available, Mooreand Cedric Tillman figure to complete for slotting behind fellow WRs Amari Cooper and Jerry Jeudy.
Jul 25, 2024
Focused on WR
The Browns will have Moore focus his preparation as a wide receiver after last season's hybrid role didn't work out, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
In 2023, the team used Moore out of the backfield in addition to his duties as a wide receiver, but the coaches eventually abandoned the idea. He lined up 23 times in the backfield over the first five games (eight carries, 11 yards) then just six times over the final 12 games. It was clear the hybrid role hurt his production as both a runner and receiver. Moore enters 2024 re-energized and looking to become part of a productive wideout room that includes Amari Cooper and Jerry Jeudy. He'll compete with Cedric Tillman to become the primary third wideout.
Mar 15, 2024
Joined by Jeudy in Cleveland
Moore is one of three Browns wide receivers entering a contract year, along with Amari Cooper and recent acquisition Jerry Jeudy, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
The Browns traded for Moore last offseason and installed him in a significant role, but his 903 snaps and 104 targets led to just 640 yards and two touchdowns. While poor QB play was a part of that, Cooper and TE David Njoku produced much better efficiency stats in the same offense and are now joined by Jeudy as another threat to take a significant chunk of the targets. Moore may have missed his breakout opportunity, and it isn't entirely out of the question that David Bell or Cedric Tillman could push him for a spot in three-wide formations.
Jan 14, 2024
Quiet in playoff loss
Moore caught both of his targets for 12 yards in Saturday's 45-14 wild-card playoff loss to Houston.
ANALYSIS
Moore had a quiet day in the playoff loss, which mirrored his first season in a Cleveland uniform. He was on the field for 63 plays (89 percent share) Saturday, but any impactful plays were made by others. For the season, Moore had 59 receptions on 104 targets, 640 yards and two touchdowns. The Browns also used him as a runner nine times and a punt returner, following through on a preseason plan to make Moore a versatile weapon. Unfortunately, the wide receiver rarely was a factor in a Browns' win. Still, he was on the field for 75 percent of the offensive snaps and was third on the team in targets. If that usage continues next season, Moore will be in position to make a bigger impact in 2024.
Jan 7, 2024
Active for Week 18
Moore (concussion) is active for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
The Browns' decision to keep Moore active seemingly implies that he's cleared concussion protocol, despite not having turned in a full practice at any point this past week. Even if that's the case, Moore isn't certain to take on his usual starting role, and it's possible he's held out of the contest entirely. The Browns are locked into the No. 5 seed for the AFC playoffs and have made several key contributors inactive for the contest, while multiple other starters are expected to be rested during the regular-season finale. Depth receivers such as Cedric Tillman, David Bell and James Proche may be better bets than Moore to turn in meaningful fantasy production Sunday.
Jan 5, 2024
Questionable, yet to clear protocol
Moore (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Petrak, coach Kevin Stefanski said Friday that Moore is still in the NFL's five-step concussion protocol, but the receiver is trending in the right direction. The Browns are locked into the No. 5 seed in the AFC regardless of Sunday's result, so they will likely lean on the side of caution if there's any doubt about Moore's readiness after he exited last Thursday's win over the Jets due to a concussion.
Jan 3, 2024
Limited Wednesday
Moore (concussion) was limited in Wednesday's practice, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore was concussed in last Thursday night's win over the Jets and spent the evening in the hospital for evaluation. It's a good sign that he's able to be out on the field Wednesday, but it would be surprising if the Browns let Moore play this week with the Wild Card spot all sewn up and Joe Flacco resting.
Jan 3, 2024
Will practice Wednesday
Moore (concussion) remains in concussion protocol but will practice Wednesday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore went to the hospital after hitting his head on turf in last Thursday's win over the Jets, but his presence at practice Wednesday suggests he's progressing through concussion protocol. It remains to be seen whether Moore has any limitations in practice Wednesday. The Browns are locked in as the No. 5 seed in the AFC and plan to rest some key contributors Sunday in Cincinnati, so Moore may not play even if he clears concussion protocol this week.
Dec 29, 2023
Out of hospital but in protocol
Moore (concussion) has been released from the hospital after staying there overnight, but he has been placed in the NFL's concussion protocol, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore stayed down on the field and convulsed involuntarily after hitting his head on the ground in the second quarter of Thursday's 37-20 win over the Jets. He eventually walked off under his own power, and it's encouraging that Moore has subsequently been released from the hospital, though it's no surprise that he suffered a concussion. He'll have a few extra days to try to clear concussion protocol before the Browns face the Bengals in Week 18, though Cleveland can afford to take a cautious approach with the wide receiver after clinching a playoff spot with Thursday's win.
Dec 28, 2023
Ruled out with head injury
Moore will not return to Thursday's game against the Jets due to a head injury, Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore suffered the injury just before halftime and headed to the locker room for further evaluation. No additional information is known at this time, but Moore's day is over after he managed five receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown against his former team.
Dec 28, 2023
Headed to locker room
Moore was spotted walking to the locker room before halftime after suffering an apparent head injury in Thursday's game against the Jets, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore took a hard hit with just over two minutes remaining in the first half and remained on the field for a short period of time. He walked off under his own power and was evaluated in the medical tent before heading into the locker room. The exact diagnosis is unclear, though Moore is being evaluated for a head injury.
Dec 26, 2023
Second straight week under 20 yards
Moore caught two of four targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 36-22 win over Houston in Week 16.
ANALYSIS
Moore was held to under 20 receiving yards for the second consecutive game and fourth time this season. Cleveland's passing game with Joe Flacco at quarterback has become all about Amari Cooper and David Njoku, although Moore has a healthy 98 targets (third on team) over 15 games.
Dec 18, 2023
Quiet day in comeback win
Moore caught two of three targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Bears in Week 15.
ANALYSIS
Moore, who's had a mini resurgence with Joe Flacco under center, was barely noticeable in the Browns' comeback win. Both the targets and yards were his second fewest of the season. Moore entered the contest averaging four catches on eight targets for 55 yards over the previous five weeks. Amari Cooper and David Njoku are clearly the top targets, but now Moore must compete with rookie Cedric Tillman, who garnered eight looks and four catches for 52 yards.
Dec 11, 2023
Six targets in win
Moore caught three of six targets for 42 yards in Sunday's 31-27 win over Jacksonville in Week 14.
ANALYSIS
With Amari Cooper returning from a concussion to play a full game, Moore experienced a drop in targets from last week's season-high 12. He did have a role in Cleveland's final touchdown, when two Jacksonville defenders followed his crossing route, which left David Bell alone for a 41-yard touchdown catch. While Moore has not made the impact that was envisioned for him during the preseason, but he averages seven targets per game, and quarterback Joe Flacco has revitalized the downfield passing attack.
Dec 6, 2023
Becomes important piece
Moore may emerge as Cleveland's top wideout Week 14 against Jacksonville, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore had his best game against the Rams last week, when he was targeted a season-high 12 times and amassed 255 air yards -- yards the ball traveled in the air on throws to Moore. That was partially due to Amari Cooper leaving the tilt with a concussion, but his working relationship with quarterback Joe Flacco -- the two played for the Jets the previous two seasons -- also was a factor. There are a two major unknowns heading into the preparation week for the Jaguars, which will likely become clearer when the Browns start practicing Wednesday. Will Cooper be ready to go? If not, Moore could get similar usage this coming Sunday. Will head coach Kevin Stefanski go back to rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion) if he's ready? If the coach decides Flacco is best suited for the stretch drive -- his pedigree seems to suggest so -- then Moore could be a pivotal cog over the final five weeks.
Dec 4, 2023
Leading receiver against Rams
Moore caught four of 12 targets for 83 yards in Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
The third-year wideout emerged as Joe Flacco's favorite target after Amari Cooper (concussion) left the game in the second quarter, and while Moore wasn't efficient with his looks, he still set a new season high in receiving yards. There's no guarantee Flacco gets another start if Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion) clears the league's protocol ahead of a Week 14 meeting with the Jaguars, nor that Cooper will remain sidelined. While Moore's performance was somewhat encouraging, he remains a very volatile fantasy option.
Nov 26, 2023
Does little with targets Sunday
Moore caught three of nine targets for 44 yards in Sunday's 29-12 loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
He tied tight end David Njoku for the lead in targets among Browns players, but Moore finished only fourth in catches and third in receiving yards. The former Jet has yet to top 60 receiving yards in a game for his new squad and has only one TD in 11 contests, and Cleveland's uncertain QB situation -- rookie starter Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion) was replaced by PJ Walker in the third quarter -- leaves Moore with little fantasy appeal heading into a Week 13 clash with the Rams.
Nov 20, 2023
Opens game-winning drive
Moore caught six of seven targets for 60 yards in Sunday's 13-10 win over Pittsburgh in Week 11.
ANALYSIS
In a defensive-driven affair in Cleveland, Moore led all pass-catchers from either side with a season-high 60 receiving yards. The Browns' offense, led by rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson, was having an erratic second half with just 58 yards on six possessions. Then, with with 78 seconds left and the game tied, Moore's 15-yard grab kicked off a push for the game-winning field goal. The gameplan called for a lot of short passes and the usual reliance on the running backs, as Cleveland operates without Deshaun Watson (shoulder) for the remainder of the season. As DTR grows more comfortable, perhaps head coach Kevin Stefanski will open the playbook for the rookie quarterback.
Nov 12, 2023
First touchdown with Browns
Moore recorded five receptions on seven targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 33-31 win over the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Moore has at least seven targets in six of nine games this season, yet he has topped 50 yards just once. However, he recorded his highest reception total since Week 3 and also managed his first touchdown of the campaign on a 10-yard catch midway through the fourth quarter amid the Browns' dramatic comeback. While Moore is one of the more predictable roles in the Browns' offense, he has proven to have very little upside.
Oct 30, 2023
Adds punt return to duties
Moore caught two of five targets for 30 yards and returned two punts for 23 yards in Sunday's 24-20 loss to Seattle in Week 8.
ANALYSIS
The diverse, hybrid role Cleveland's coaches envisioned for Moore on offense has not panned out, so the Browns looked for him to impact a game as a punt returner for the first time this season. While he's sitting on zero touchdowns and 36.6 receiving yards per game, Moore remains a big piece on offense and is second on team with 48 targets.
Oct 22, 2023
Cracks 50-yard mark in win
Moore caught four of seven targets for 59 yards in Sunday's 39-38 win over the Colts in Week 7.
ANALYSIS
Moore, who entered the game with 20 combined yards the last two weeks, rebounded to lead the Browns in receiving yards Sunday. He's been a disappointment thus far, but so has Cleveland's passing game as a whole. Some of that is due to quarterback Deshaun Watson's gimpy shoulder, which cost him two games and knocked him out in the first quarter Sunday after being brought down by Colts defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo. However, a healthy Watson was an uneven performer, and that's impacted the receivers' production. The Browns have fewer than 200 yards passing in four of six games.
Oct 16, 2023
Seven targets in win
Moore caught four of seven targets for 19 yards and rushed once for eight yards in Sunday's 19-17 win over San Francisco in Week 6.
ANALYSIS
It was expected to be a quiet day for the wide receivers, as the Browns started quarterback PJ Walker in place of the injured Deshaun Watson (shoulder). And, other than Amari Cooper (108 yards), that expectation largely held true. Moore's seven targets were second behind Cooper and his 19 yards were fourth. Cleveland coaches envisioned him as a multi-position weapon during training camp, but that's only showed itself in the volume of targets and touches. Moore is second on the team with 36 targets and third at 29 touches (eight rush attempts), but he has yet score a touchdown. Through five games, Moore is averaging 35.6 combined yards per contest.
Oct 2, 2023
Zero combined yards in loss
Moore caught two of four targets for 20 yards and ran once for minus-20 yards in Sunday's 28-3 loss to Baltimore in Week 4.
ANALYSIS
The five targets/touches were a season low for Moore, who missed starting quarterback Deshaun Watson (shoulder). All the skill players did, as Cleveland produced just 214 yards of offense. Moore, who had six rushing attempts for 23 yards entering the game, lost nearly all of that on one play. The Browns were trailing 7-0 in the first quarter with first-and-10 at the Ravens' 19-yard line, when Moore attempted to make something out of nothing but turned a five-yard loss into a 20-yard setback. With a bye week coming up, Watson gets extended time to heal, and head coach Kevin Stefanski time to fix a broken offense.
Sep 24, 2023
Catches all nine targets
Moore recorded nine receptions on nine targets for 49 yards in Sunday's 27-3 win over the Titans.
ANALYSIS
The Browns seemed to prioritize getting Moore involved, as he was targeted three times on the opening drive and was also given a carry. He went on to do most of his damage in the first half, which largely had to do with game script, as the Browns attempted only 13 passes in the final two quarters. Moore now has 25 targets across three games, though that's resulted in only 128 yards.
Sep 19, 2023
Garners 41 total yards in loss
Moore brought in three of nine targets for 36 yards and rushed once for five yards in the Browns' 26-22 loss to the Steelers on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Moore and Deshaun Watson couldn't connect very often, but it's at least encouraging the quarterback showered the speedy receiver with the second-most targets on the night. Moore has posted a 6-79 line on 16 targets through two games, so if he and Watson can begin to connect more consistently, the third-year pro is certainly capable of producing fantasy-friendly lines given his playmaking ability.
Sep 10, 2023
Leading receiver in team debut
Moore caught three of seven targets for 43 yards and rushed twice for 19 yards in Sunday's 24-3 win over the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Making his Cleveland debut after being acquired from the Jets in an offseason trade, Moore led his new team in receiving yards while tying for the team lead in targets with Amari Cooper. Moore's speed complements Cooper's contested catch ability and Nick Chubb's physicality on the ground, so the new addition should continue to play a prominent role on Monday Night Football against the Steelers in Week 2.
Aug 26, 2023
Two short catches
Moore recorded two receptions on three targets for eight yards in Saturday's 33-32 preseason loss to the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Recovered from a rib injury, Moore played with Deshaun Watson and the rest of Cleveland's first-team offense. He matched Amari Cooper in targets, though Moore was targeted in the short areas of the field while Cooper was targeted on deep attempts. Moore is likely to work primarily out of the slot this season and should be a favorite target of Watson in the short and intermediate areas of the field.
Aug 26, 2023
Should play preseason finale
Moore is expected to play in the team's preseason finale Saturday,James Palmer of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore managed to be cleared of a ribs injury Tuesday that had kept him out for two weeks of training camp and now appears poised to see work in Saturday's preseason contest against the Chiefs. An offseason acquisition from the Jets, gaining more chemistry with starting quarterback Deshaun Watson, who is also expected to play, will be a key point to follow before the team's regular season opener in September.
Aug 22, 2023
Practices Sunday
Moore (ribs) participated in Sunday's practice, Doc Louallen of the Browns' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski there are no limits on Moore, who missed the joint practices and game last week with the Eagles. He worked in team drills Sunday. The head coach added that starters will play in the final preseason game, Saturday against the Chiefs, and that presumably includes Moore. The wideout has been deployed from a variety of positions and operated in a variety of roles, as seen during training camp and Preseason Week 1 against the Commanders.
Aug 20, 2023
In line to practice
Coach Kevin Stefanski said Sunday that Moore (ribs) is expected to resume practicing, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore suffered a rib injury Aug. 11 and was diagnosed as day-to-day. If he's indeed able to get back on the practice field Sunday and handle more than individual drills, which he resumed participating in Tuesday, Moore could have a chance at gaining clearance in time to suit up for Cleveland's preseason finale in Kansas City on Aug. 26.
Aug 17, 2023
Considers himself 'day-to-day'
Moore didn't play in Thursday's preseason game at Philadelphia, but he told Aditi Kinkhabwala of CBS Sports that he's "day-to-day" due to the rib injury he sustained in last Friday's preseason loss to the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Despite the health concern, Moore was able to participate in individual drills at Tuesday's joint practice with the Eagles. His quote from Thursday indicates he may receive clearance for all activity in the near future, perhaps with an eye toward making an appearance in the Browns' exhibition finale at Kansas City on Saturday, Aug. 26.
Aug 17, 2023
Won't play Thursday night
Moore (ribs) won't play in Thursday night's preseason game against the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Moore bruised his ribs in the preseason opener but returned to individual drills earlier this week, so this isn't any sort of long-term issue. Most of the Browns' offensive starters aren't playing Thursday.
Aug 15, 2023
Returns to individual drills
Moore (ribs) will participate in individual drills at Tuesday's practice, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore was forced out of last weekend's preseason game early after taking a shot to the ribs, but the Browns said afterward that he was merely day-to-day. This confirms Moore avoided anything serious, and his Week 1 availability isn't in doubt. He's expected to line up all over the formation for Cleveland this season.
Aug 14, 2023
Set for multiple roles
Moore (ribs) will be used in a variety of roles this season, Doc Louallen of the Browns' official site reports. "I'm sure it's been well reported that we want to use the kid in a bunch of different ways," Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski said. "Teams know that we'll hand it to him, that we'll throw it to him. As you know, there's no shortage of plays."
ANALYSIS
That variety was on display in Friday's preseason game against the Commanders when Moore caught a pass from the receiver position then took a handoff in the backfield for an 18-yard gain. The plays helped set up a red zone opportunity for the Browns -- they didn't convert on a fourth-and-goal opportunity -- but the drive showed the impact a healthy Moore will have when games count. It's unclear if Moore's versatility will be on display in Thursday's preseason tilt against the Eagles. Stefanski told Zac Jackson of The Athletic that he is "hopeful" Moore can participate in the joint practices Monday and Tuesday.
Aug 12, 2023
Considered day-to-day
Moore (ribs) is considered day-to-day after leaving Friday's preseason game against the Commanders early, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore appears to have avoided a serious injury, but the Browns will likely still proceeded with caution. The wideout's next chance to suit up for game action will arrive Thursday in Philadelphia.
Aug 11, 2023
Injures ribs Friday
Moore sustained a rib injury during Friday's preseason contest against the Commanders, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
After the Browns' first possession, Moore went to the sideline tent before going to the locker room, where X-rays were returned negative. No matter, he didn't return to the game, finishing with an 18-yard run and a six-yard catch. Moore's next chance for exhibition action will arrive next Thursday at Philadelphia.
Aug 11, 2023
Visits locker room Friday
Moore (undisclosed) went to the locker room during Friday's preseason game versus the Commanders, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After the contest was delayed by more than an hour due to rain, Moore impressed after kickoff with an 18-yard end-around and a six-yard catch on his sole target. He then visited the sidelined medical tent before making his way off the field. The nature of Moore's injury is unknown, but this is a setback after his great play in the offseason program followed him into training camp.
Aug 11, 2023
Continuing to star at training camp
Moore has been "the offensive star" of Browns camp and has "proven to be the perfect complement" to Deshaun Watson, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore has carried his strong spring over to training camp, even after the pads have come on. "Lining up in the backfield, in the slot and outside, Moore has done it all in camp, while demonstrating excellent hands and adept route-running," wrote Cabot. By all accounts, Moore seems to have taken hold of slot duties and should be in the mix to finish second on the team in targets behind Amari Cooper. Moore will look to rebound in Cleveland and could flirt with WR3 fantasy numbers.
Aug 3, 2023
Won't play Thursday
Moore is among the key Browns' players not slated to play in Thursday's preseason opener against the Jets, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Other top skill players not in line to see action Thursday night are QB Deshaun Watson, RBs Nick Chubb and RB Jerome Ford, WRs Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones, as well as TEs David Njoku and Harrison Bryant. Moore's next chance to see preseason action will arrive Aug. 11, when the Browns face the Commanders.
Jun 1, 2023
Lining up inside, outside
Moore lined up in different spots during Wednesday's OTA, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore has been a frequent target of quarterback Deshaun Watson since the first OTA last week. On Wednesday, Browns offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt was pleased with receiver's skills, noting the flexibility to be used in the slot and outside the numbers in what looked like an up-tempo offensive attack. The Browns seem intent on throwing short passes to Moore and letting him create after the catch.
May 26, 2023
Favored target in OTAs
Moore was targeted often by quarterback Deshaun Watson during Wednesday's session of organized team activities, Athony Poisal of the Browns' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore, who was acquired from the Jets via trade during the offseason, is expected to serve as the Browns' slot receiver with Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones the wideouts. Whether Moore is designated as a No. 2 or No. 3 on depth charts, the numbers won't mean much. The Browns are expected to throw often, and all three should benefit from quarterback Deshaun Watson in a full-season role.
Mar 22, 2023
Traded to Cleveland
The Jets traded Moore and a 2023 third-round pick to the Browns on Wednesday in exchange for a 2023 second-round pick, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
This move doesn't come as a surprise as the Jets have already signed Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman (groin) to free-agent contracts this offseason, making the Jets' wideout room crowded. Moore, a 2021 second-round pick, posted 43 receptions on 77 targets for 538 yards and five scores across 11 appearances as a rookie, but he had a disappointing sophomore campaign, securing just 37 of 65 targets for 446 yards and one score across 16 games. The soon-to-be 23-year-old will get a fresh start in Cleveland and will presumably compete with Donovan Peoples-Jones and David Bell for a sizable role behind Amari Cooper.
Jan 9, 2023
Has disappointing sophomore season
Moore caught his only target for 11 yards in Sunday's 11-6 loss to the Dolphins. He finishes the season with 37 catches on 65 targets for 446 yards and one touchdown.
ANALYSIS
Moore was expected to take a step forward after racking up 538 yards and five touchdowns in just 11 games as a rookie. Instead, Moore regressed in every facet except availability. His only absence came in Week 7, when Moore was sent home after requesting a trade. The second-round pick from the 2021 NFL Draft returned the following week and remains in the Jets' plans moving forward. An upgrade under center could revitalize Moore's career, but he's well behind 2022 first-round pick Garrett Wilson in the team's wide receiver pecking order.
Jan 2, 2023
Another two-catch game
Moore caught both of his targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 23-6 loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
After catching at least three passes in each of New York's first four games, Moore has totaled three or more receptions only twice since Week 5. His disappointing sophomore season will come to a close in Week 18 against the Dolphins. Moore heads into that game with just 36 catches for 435 yards and one touchdown in 15 appearances after racking up 43 catches for 538 yards and five touchdowns over 11 games as a rookie.
Dec 23, 2022
Three targets in loss
Moore caught two of three targets for 15 yards in Thursday's 19-3 loss to the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
New York's entire offense struggled in this one, but Moore was notably out-targeted by both Garrett Wilson (nine) and Corey Davis (seven). Moore's best chance at fantasy relevance in Week 17 against the Seahawks would be the Jets getting Mike White (ribs) back under center. A Zach Wilson-Chris Streveler redux just won't cut it.
Dec 18, 2022
Late 4th down conversion not enough
Moore caught four of seven targets for 51 yards and rushed once for three yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Moore made a 20-yard catch with one second left in the fourth quarter to convert on 4th and 18, but Greg Zuerlein missed a 58-yard field-goal attempt on the next play as the Jets' final drive fell short. Moore reached the 60-yard threshold in two of the previous three games when Mike White (ribs) was under center, but he has yet to do so with any other quarterback this season. Zach Wilson started this game and will likely remain under center Thursday against the Jaguars unless White makes an unexpectedly quick recovery.
Dec 11, 2022
Season-high 10 targets in Week 14
Moore caught six of 10 targets for 60 yards in Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Moore set season highs in catches and targets while coming four yards shy of his Week 12 season best. Mike White's insertion under center has helped Moore pick up the pace over the past three weeks after what had been a disastrous sophomore season for the wide receiver. White's status for Week 15 against the Lions is in doubt due to a rib injury, but there's a good chance that White plays but wide receiver Corey Davis (head) doesn't, which would put Moore in position for a busy afternoon against a vulnerable defense.
Dec 4, 2022
Quiet in Week 13 loss
Moore caught two of six targets for seven yards and added a 10-yard rush in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Moore had room to get his second foot down on an attempted sideline catch late in the first half, but he failed to do so on a play that would have put the Jets in field-goal range. A seven-yard gain by Ty Johnson on the ensuing play followed by a 60-yard Greg Zuerlein field goal made Moore's blunder inconsequential, but that play was emblematic of the second-year wide receiver's struggles in 2022. Moore's a distant third on the Jets' wide receiver depth chart behind Garrett Wilson and Corey Davis heading into a Week 14 trip to Buffalo.
Nov 27, 2022
Finds end zone in White's debut
Moore caught both of his targets for 64 yards and a touchdown while rushing once for minus-4 yards in Sunday's 31-10 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Moore had struggled to produce with Zach Wilson under center for the Jets, but he made the most of his first touch in the second quarter, catching a well-placed pass from Mike White and bouncing off a tackle for a 42-yard gain. The second-year wide receiver's only other target came in the third quarter, and he caught it for his first touchdown of the season from 22 yards out. It remains to be seen whether White can sustain this form in Week 13 against the Vikings and beyond, but he unlocked the big-play potential of both Moore and Garrett Wilson (two touchdowns) in his season debut.
Nov 20, 2022
Two catches in Week 11
Moore caught two of four targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 10-3 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Moore made consecutive catches of 13 and four yards in the two-minute drill late in the first half, but that was the extent of his involvement on offense. He was the last player to touch the ball in the loss, making the curious decision to run out of bounds after a nine-yard kickoff return with no time on the clock. Moore's first two catches since Week 5 represent a small step in the right direction for the wide receiver heading into a Week 12 home game against the Bears.
Nov 18, 2022
No Davis in Week 11
Moore could be in line for an expanded role Sunday in New England, as Ethan Greenberg and John Pullano of the Jets' official site report that Corey Davis (knee) will miss a third consecutive game.
ANALYSIS
Davis' previous absences didn't lead to increased volume for the disgruntled Moore, but perhaps New York's Week 10 bye gave Moore an opportunity to clear his head. He'll have another opportunity to contribute in Week 11 for a Jets receiving corps that lacks weapons besides fellow young wide receiver Garrett Wilson in Davis' absence. Moore hasn't recorded more than 53 yards in a game this season after topping that mark in four of his last six games as a rookie.
Nov 9, 2022
Will be slot receiver after bye
Coach Robert Saleh told Josina Anderson of CBS Sports that the team plans to utilize Moore in the slot more moving forward.
ANALYSIS
After a strong rookie season during which he saw time both outside and in the slot, Moore has struggled as a sophomore. New York has used him predominantly as a decoy on the outside while featuring other options in the passing game, but more snaps in the slot could lead to more touches for the 5-foot-10 receiver. The Jets are on bye in Week 10, which will give Moore ample time to adjust to his new slot-heavy role before the team returns to action against the Patriots in Week 11.
Nov 7, 2022
No targets in Week 9 win
Moore wasn't targeted in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Moore played on 45 percent of the team's offensive snaps, and while Zach Wilson threw for only 154 yards, he still directed the ball toward eight different non-Moore targets, including four wide receivers. With only one target since Week 5, Moore will likely need to string together multiple productive performances after New York's Week 10 bye before you can consider putting him in your fantasy lineup.
Nov 4, 2022
Another opportunity awaits
Moore could take on a larger role Sunday against the Bills, as Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports that Corey Davis (knee) has been ruled out.
ANALYSIS
Moore has been irked by a lack of targets, and the same pattern continued in Week 8 against New England, as he was targeted only once despite Davis being out. Prior to complaining publicly, Moore had seen the field plenty but just wasn't getting thrown to. He then sat out a game and played only 10 snaps upon returning in Week 8. With Davis still sidelined, Moore has an opportunity to earn more playing time again, and the Jets could certainly use the playmaking ability he demonstrated as a rookie in 2021.
Oct 30, 2022
Goose egg in Week 8
Moore didn't catch his only target in Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Moore missed the previous game after requesting a trade due to a lack of targets. He returned to the field against the Patriots but didn't see any additional volume, even with fellow wide receiver Corey Davis (knee) sidelined. Moore's minimal usage makes him a fantasy non-entity until further notice.
Oct 28, 2022
Could play key role in return
Moore's expected to play a prominent role Sunday against the Patriots, as Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports that fellow wide receiver Corey Davis (knee) has been ruled out.
ANALYSIS
Moore sat out New York's Week 7 win over the Broncos after requesting a trade due to a lack of usage, but he has subsequently been brought back into the fold. His desire for more targets could be promptly granted against New England, as the Jets will be without Davis, who leads the team with 351 receiving yards. New York may also be forced into more pass-heavy game plans moving forward after the season-ending knee injury to standout rookie running back Breece Hall.

Back with team, expected to play
Jets head coach Robert Saleh said Monday that Moore (personal) is back with the team and is expected to play Sunday against the Patriots, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore requested a trade ahead of the Jets' Week 7 win over the Broncos, and the wideout was ultimately made inactive by the team. Per Connor Hughes of SNY.tv, Moore being inactive wasn't a punishment, but rather because Saleh didn't want the youngster taking the field in his current mental state. With Corey Davis (knee) day-to-day, it would certainly be nice to have Moore back in the mix. Despite winning games, the Jets have struggled moving the ball through the air with Zach Wilson at the helm, though they'll likely have to lean on their quarterback more moving forward after losing breakout star Breece Hall (knee) for the season.
Oct 21, 2022
Won't play Sunday
Coach Robert Saleh said Friday that Moore will not play Sunday versus the Broncos but "trading him is not an option," Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore isn't missing Sunday's game as punishment for his trade request, per Connor Hughes of SNY.tv, but simply because Saleh does not want the 22-year-old wideout taking the field in his current mental state. The 2021 first-round pick reportedly takes issue with his current role and lack of involvement on offense, which culminated in a Week 6 win that saw Moore go without a target from Zach Wilson. Until Moore's situation is sorted out, Braxton Berrios (back), Denzel Mims and Jeff Smith will see increased opportunities behind Corey Davis and Garrett Wilson.
Oct 21, 2022
Back at team facility
Moore is back at the Jets' training facility Friday after having been excused for a personal day Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore is back in the building as the Jets continue preparations for Sunday's road matchup against the Broncos, despite having informed the team Thursday of his desire for a trade. The 2021 second-round pick is reportedly dissatisfied with his current role on New York's offense, having gone without a target Week 6 and only exceeded the 50-yard receiving threshold in one contest this season. Whether Moore's already uninspiring offensive utilization will further decrease in the wake of his trade request remains to be seen, and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the Jets have no plans to part ways with the 22-year-old wideout.
Oct 20, 2022
Asks for trade
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network indicates Moore has asked for a trade, but notes that the Jets have no plans to deal the wideout.
ANALYSIS
Per Rapoport, Moore -- who didn't officially log a target in Week 6 -- is frustrated with his role and usage with the team, but at this stage the Jets aren't inclined to part ways with the 2021 second-rounder. Meanwhile, Rich Cimini of ESPN relays that Moore was excused from practice Thursday, with the wideout being given what was termed a "personal day." It remains to be seen what Moore does at practice Friday, but at this point he profiles as a speculative fantasy lineup option for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
Oct 20, 2022
Takes personal day Thursday
Coach Robert Saleh said Moore has an excused absence from Thursday's practice, Kimberley A. Martin of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The absence was cited as a personal day, meaning Moore likely will be back on the practice field Friday. No matter, his status is one to monitor, especially considering his target count dwindled all the way to zero this past Sunday at Green Bay.
Oct 16, 2022
No targets Sunday
Moore was not targeted in Sunday's 27-10 win over the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Moore's goose egg comes after his one catch for 11 yards in Week 5 previously marked a season low. Although quarterback Zach Wilson passed for merely 110 yards Sunday, restricting everyone's output, Moore's recent drop off is nonetheless noteworthy. He'll look to resurface as a significant threat in Week 7 versus the Broncos, but Sunday's anonymous outing could offer reason to temper expecations.
Oct 9, 2022
Just one catch against Miami
Moore caught one of four targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 40-17 win over the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
The arrival of rookie first-round pick Garrett Wilson has negatively impacted Moore's usage after a promising rookie season in 2021, and this game created a new low-water mark for Moore, who had between 41 and 53 receiving yards in each of New York's first four games. Moore continues to run plenty of routes, even if he isn't being targeted nearly as frequently as last season, so the production will likely start to trend up eventually. However, getting back on track in Week 6 won't be easy against the stout Packers secondary.
Oct 2, 2022
Season-high 53 yards in win
Moore caught three of four targets for 53 yards and rushed once for two yards in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Moore showed early chemistry with quarterback Zach Wilson (knee) in Wilson's season debut, recording catches of 20 and 28 yards to help set up a second-quarter Jets touchdown. He was quiet the rest of the way but still finished second on the team in receiving yards behind Corey Davis (74). Moore's off to a slow start after a promising rookie season, but he'll look to build on this season-high yardage total in Week 5 against the Dolphins.
Sep 25, 2022
Yet to post 50-yard game in 2022
Moore caught four of 10 targets for 49 yards in Sunday's 27-12 loss to the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Moore tied Garrett Wilson for second on the team in targets -- one behind running back Breece Hall -- but failed to do much with the volume. Three consecutive pedestrian performances to open the season have Moore at just 12 catches for 139 yards heading into a Week 4 trip to Pittsburgh, but perhaps the expected change under center from Joe Flacco to Zach Wilson (knee) will get the second-year wideout going.
Sep 18, 2022
Overshadowed by rookie teammate
Moore caught three of five targets for 41 yards and rushed once for minus-6 yards in Sunday's 31-30 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Moore tied for third on the team in targets behind Garrett Wilson (14) and tight end Tyler Conklin (nine). Wilson turned his volume into 102 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing better chemistry with Joe Flacco. Moore's upside in Week 3 against the Bengals could be capped with Flacco expected to remain under center, but the Jets' offense looked much more capable in this one after mustering just nine points in the season opener against Baltimore.
Sep 11, 2022
Five catches in season opener
Moore caught five of seven targets for 49 yards in Sunday's 24-9 loss to Baltimore.
ANALYSIS
Moore posted modest totals despite the Jets utilizing the short passing game consistently, as Joe Flacco threw the ball 59 times. While Moore remains the most appealing fantasy wide receiver in New York after a promising rookie season, the Jets' entire offense may not find much success for the duration of Zach Wilson's (knee) absence, which is expected to linger for another two weeks. The Jets will travel to Cleveland in Week 2, where Moore will likely see a lot of standout cornerback Denzel Ward.
Aug 28, 2022
Makes one grab
Moore caught one of two targets for nine yards in Sunday's 31-27 preseason win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Moore finished the preseason by getting a little extra work in with quarterback Joe Flacco, who will likely start in Week 1 versus the Ravens with Zach Wilson (knee) still sidelined. After posting 43 catches on 77 targets for 538 yards and five touchdowns in 11 games as a rookie, Moore will aim to elevate his game further in Year 2, when New York's receiving corps should be bolstered by the first-round selection of Garrett Wilson as well.
Aug 28, 2022
Will play at least one quarter
Jets head coach Robert Saleh said Moore, along with the rest of the offensive starters, will play at least one quarter during Sunday's preseason finale, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It'll be a chance for Moore to get additional reps with quarterback Joe Flacco, who likely will start Week 1 against Baltimore with Zach Wilson (knee) sidelined following surgery. While rookie first-round pick Garrett Wilson has shown flashes during training camp, Moore is still expected to be the Jets No. 1 wideout heading into the regular season.
Aug 24, 2022
Likely playing this week
Coach Robert Saleh suggested Moore and other starters will play anywhere from a quarter to a half in Sunday's preseason game against the Giatns, Zach Braziller of the NY Post reports.
ANALYSIS
It's a chance for Moore to get additional reps with Joe Flacco, who likely will start Week 1 against Baltimore with Zach Wilson (knee) reportedly facing a timeline around 4-6 weeks after Aug. 16 surgery. Moore, Corey Davis and Braxton Berrios have taken most of the first-team reps this summer, but first-round pick Garrett Wilson poses a serious threat to Davis and Berrios, if not Moore.
Aug 22, 2022
Won't play Monday
Moore and other key players, including QB Joe Flacco and WR Corey Davis, will be held out of Monday's preseason game against Atlanta, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Flacco may get the Week 1 start while Zach Wilson recovers from a meniscus injury, though that's not necessarily a bad thing for Moore's fantasy prospects. With Moore and Davis held out Monday night, rookie first-round pick Garrett Wilson could get extended run, assuming he isn't on the sidelines as well. Wilson came in as the fourth receiver in the preseason opener, behind Moore, Davis and slot man Braxton Berrios.
Aug 19, 2022
Shines in joint practice
Moore stood out in Friday's joint practice with the Falcons, catching five passes from quarterback Joe Flacco, Andy Vasquez of NJ.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore's productive practice included a gain of 40-plus yards, as he found a hole in Atlanta's zone coverage and proceeded to make a defender miss with a juke. New York's 2021 second-round pick is poised to lead the Jets' receiving corps in his second season, and the team believes Moore's just scratching the surface of his potential as a playmaker.
Aug 12, 2022
Once catch in preseason opener
Moore recorded one reception on one target for nine yards in Friday's 24-21 preseason win over the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Moore played with the first-team offense for three possessions. He made the most of his one look, hauling in a pass from Zach Wilson (knee) to earn the team a fresh set of downs. Moore had a fairly strong showing in his rookie season -- he managed 538 yards on 77 targets -- and should be in for a productive 2022 campaign working opposite Garrett Wilson among the Jets' receiving corps.
Jul 29, 2022
More comfortable at NFL level
Moore feels more comfortable heading into his second season and is ready to take a second-year leap, Jared Greenspan of the New York Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore was still getting used to the NFL level as a rookie, yet he still managed to lead the Jets in receiving yards despite playing just 11 games. He expects to be even better in his sophomore season and even feels comfortable enough to give rookie first-round pick Garrett Wilson tips, both on and off the field. "I had to go experience it," Moore said of playing at NFL speed last season. Now, he feels ready to excel: "I'm waiting, I'm ready for the game."
May 1, 2022
Team adds similar young WR
Moore will be joined by rookie 10th overall pick Garrett Wilson in New York's receiving corps, Rich Cimini of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
For a third consecutive draft, the Jets used a premium selection on a wide receiver. While 2020 second-rounder Denzel Mims is shaping up to be a bust, the early returns on Moore -- selected 34th overall in 2021 -- look encouraging, and Wilson is the team's most highly regarded receiving prospect yet coming out of Ohio State. Moore and Wilson profile similarly as fast, undersized receivers who can play both outside and in the slot. New York will likely take advantage of their versatility by moving Moore and Wilson around frequently, but Corey Davis (groin) could be the team's premier red zone threat given his larger frame.
Jan 14, 2022
Hot finish before injury as rookie
Moore (quadriceps) finished his rookie season with 43 catches for 538 yards and five touchdowns. He added 54 yards and a touchdown on five rushing attempts.
ANALYSIS
The second-round pick out of Ole Miss burst onto the scene with a terrific training camp and preseason, but New York's shaky quarterback play led to a slow start for Moore. He heated up in the middle of the season, catching 34 of 51 targets for 459 yards and five touchdowns over his last six games before a quadriceps injury and stint in COVID-19 protocols ended Moore's campaign after 11 appearances. The arrow's pointing up for Moore heading into his sophomore season, and he's expected to be fully healthy by then and ready to build on his strong play prior to getting hurt.
Jan 8, 2022
Remains on COVID list
Moore (quadriceps) remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of Sunday's game against the Bills.
ANALYSIS
With Moore not among the Jets' activations ahead of Week 18 action and Braxton Berrios (quad) having been placed on IR on Friday, look for Jamison Crowder, Keelan Cole and Jeff Smith to head the team's wide receiver corps in Sunday's season finale.
Jan 7, 2022
Unlikely to play Sunday
Coach Robert Saleh said Moore (quadriceps) is "trending south" for Sunday's game against the Bills, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore appears to have cleared the league's COVID-19 protocols but remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list, though the bigger issue is he hasn't returned to practice since landing on injured reserve with the quadriceps injury Dec. 13. It appears the 21-year-old will end up missing the final five games of the season due to the injury, which would leave him with 43 receptions for 538 yards and five touchdowns to go along with five carries for 54 yards and another score in 11 games as a rookie.
Jan 6, 2022
Looks unlikely for Week 18
Moore (quadriceps) continued to take part in rehab work off to the side during Thursday's practice and appears unlikely to be available for Sunday's game against the Bills, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore technically remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list after testing positive for the virus, Dec. 16, but that looks to be merely a formality at this point. Since he's been at the Jets' facility for the last few days, Moore has seemingly cleared the NFL's COVID-19 return-to-play protocol, but he'll be moved to injured reserve whenever he's activated from the list. The Jets didn't designate Moore for return from IR before he contracted the virus, so he has yet to take part in practice with his healthy teammates since suffering the quad injury Week 13 against the Eagles. Even if Moore is cleared to practice Friday, one workout probably won't be enough for the Jets to feel comfortable activating him for the season finale following a month-long absence.
Jan 3, 2022
Chance to play Week 18
Head coach Robert Saleh said Moore (quadriceps) had a good workout Monday and remains a candidate to play in Sunday's season finale in Buffalo, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Dec. 16, but his ability to take part in a workout Monday suggests he's made a full recovery from the illness. He'll have to revert back to injured reserve and receive a designation for return before he's eligible to resume practicing, which could happen as soon as Wednesday. Saleh said until the Jets have a chance to evaluate Moore in practice, the team won't have a good sense of whether he'll have a shot to play in the regular-season finale. Moore has been sidelined for the Jets' last four games while recovering from the quad injury, interrupting what had been a strong second half for the rookie wideout.
Dec 31, 2021
Could return next week
Coach Robert Saleh noted Friday that Moore, who is on the reserve/COVID-19 list and also dealing with a quad injury, won't be available for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Eric Allen of the Jets' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The report adds that there's a chance Moore could play in Week 18 against the Bills, but first he'll need to clear COVID protocols as well as come off IR for that be possible. With Jamison Crowder (calf) trending toward another absence this weekend, Braxton Berrios, Keelan Cole and Denzel Mims currently profile as the Jets' top available wideout options.
Dec 30, 2021
Still not practicing
Moore (quadriceps) has yet to resume practicing as of Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore has missed the past three games and is still on the reserve/COVID-19 list in addition to being on injured reserve. Even if the rookie wide receiver clears all the hurdles necessary to return to practice Friday, he'll still be fighting an uphill battle to suit up Sunday against the Buccaneers given his extended layoff. With Jamison Crowder (calf) having failed to practice in any capacity after sitting out last week's game, Braxton Berrios seems likely to remain busy against Tampa Bay on Sunday.
Dec 29, 2021
Week 17 status TBD
Coach Robert Saleh indicated Wednesday that Moore "should be" off the reserve COVID-19 list soon, however the wideout still has some hurdles to clear with regard to the quad injury that had previously landed him on IR, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.
ANALYSIS
With that in mind, Saleh suggests that Moore's chances of being removed from both the COVID list and IR in advance of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers are in the 50-50 range, per Rich Cimini of ESPN.com. Meanwhile, fellow wide receiver Jamison Crowder (calf) is also considered 50-50 to be available this weekend.
Dec 16, 2021
Moves to COVID-19 list
The Jets shifted Moore (quadriceps) from injured reserve to the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore found himself on IR before the Jets' Week 14 matchup with the Saints and was slated to require the minimum amount of time away from the active roster. But he'll now be away from team facilities until he clears league protocols. Once he does, the Jets will move Moore back to injured reserve with the aim for him to return for a Week 17 game against the Buccaneers.
Dec 13, 2021
Could have minimum stay on IR
Jets head coach Robert Saleh said Monday that he expects Moore (quadriceps) to return from injured reserve for the final two games of the season, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.
ANALYSIS
After suffering the quad injury in the Jets' Week 13 loss to the Eagles, Moore didn't practice at all last week before New York moved him to IR on Saturday. Given the Jets' status as non-playoff contenders along with the rookie second-round pick's long-term importance to the organization, Moore looked as though he might be a shutdown candidate, but Saleh suggested that's not the case. Instead, Moore's move to IR appears to have been made with short-term roster flexibility in mind. The Jets are hopeful that three weeks of rest will be enough to resolve the quad injury, so if Moore is ready to return to practice when first eligible Week 17, he could recapture a high-volume role in the passing attack during the team's final two contests.
Dec 11, 2021
Moved to injured reserve
Moore (quadriceps) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore still has a chance to return Week 17, but given where the Jets reside in the standings it's entirely possible the team could be extra cautious with its prized rookie. After a rocky start to Moore's inaugural campaign, the Ole Miss product had emerged as easily the most consistent target in a defunct offense recording 34 receptions, 459 yards and five touchdowns over the last six games. With Corey Davis (groin) done for the season, Jamison Crowder, Keelan Cole and Denzel Mims will operate as the top three pass catchers moving forward.
Dec 10, 2021
Unable to practice all week
Moore (quadriceps) missed a third consecutive practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints, Rich Cimini of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Cimini notes that no Jets player has suited up this season after missing all three practices during the week, so Moore will have to beat the odds in order to play. The standout rookie has come on in recent weeks, and his absence would be a devastating blow to a Jets passing game that's already without Corey Davis (groin) for the remainder of the season. Slot receiver Jamison Crowder would be the top target for rookie quarterback Zach Wilson, with veteran retread Keelan Cole and unproven youngster Denzel Mims occupying the starting spots on the outside.
Dec 10, 2021
Receiving questionable tag
Moore (quadriceps) is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore was unable to practice Wednesday and Thursday due to the quadriceps injury, but he's expected to test things out at practice Friday and Saturday, per Rich Cimini of ESPN.com. The rookie second-round pick has 34 receptions for 459 yards and five touchdowns across the past six games, and he may be headed for a game-time decision this weekend versus New Orleans
Dec 9, 2021
Logs another DNP
Moore (quad) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Eric Allen of the Jets' official site, coach Robert Saleh noted Wednesday that Moore is considered "day-to-day" and that the team is "hopeful he'll be able to play Sunday." A return to practice in any capacity Friday on the part of Moore would bolster his chances of playing Sunday against the Saints and if he is able to suit up this weekend a key role awaits, with fellow wideout Corey Davis on IR with a groin injury.
Dec 8, 2021
Dealing with quad issue
Moore (quad) won't practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
According to Jets coach Robert Saleh, Moore is day-to-day as Sunday's game against the Saints approaches, with the team hopeful that the rookie wideout will be able to suit up this weekend, Eric Allen of the Jets' official site reports. On the plus side for New York, which placed Corey Davis (groin) on IR on Tuesday, Keelan Cole is slated to practice Wednesday after coming off the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Dec 5, 2021
Returns to double-digit targets
Moore recorded six receptions on 12 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 33-18 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Moore got off to a quick start, as he hauled in his fifth career touchdown -- all of which have come in his last five games -- on the team's first possession. He went on to lead New York in targets, with his 12 looks doubling up the next most-targeted player on the team. Besides the touchdown, Moore also picked up lengthy receptions of 29, 18 and 15 yards. This performance was particularly significant for Moore's potential to produce moving forward, as he had found the majority of his previous success this season with backup quarterbacks Joe Flacco and Mike White (illness). That Moore produced with Zach Wilson under center offers optimism that he will produce in Week 15 against New Orleans and beyond.
Nov 28, 2021
Four catches in Wilson's return
Moore caught four of eight targets for 48 yards and added a seven-yard carry in Sunday's 21-14 win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Quarterback Zach Wilson struggled in his return from a knee injury, dragging down the Jets' receivers with him, but Moore still made some key contributions and led the team in targets. He helped set up New York's go-ahead touchdown with a 22-yard catch on the first drive of the third quarter, and Moore was entrusted with the ball on the ground to convert a pivotal 4th-and-1 in the fourth quarter, allowing the Jets to run more clock by bursting up the field for a seven-yard gain. Moore should remain heavily involved in the Week 13 game plan against the Eagles.
Nov 21, 2021
Best game yet in Week 11 loss
Moore caught eight of 11 targets for 141 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Dolphins. He added 15 yards on one rushing attempt.
ANALYSIS
Moore got free downfield for a 62-yard touchdown in the third quarter, which was his fourth receiving score in the past three games. He also set career highs in catches and receiving yards, reaching triple digits in the latter category for the first time in his career. The rookie second-round pick got off to a slow start after what was by all accounts an excellent training camp, but Moore has started to translate his excellent practice performance to production on Sundays. If he's still on the waiver wire in your league, make sure to scoop Moore up before the Jets travel to Houston in Week 12.
Nov 14, 2021
Scores late TD in blowout loss
Moore caught three of six targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 45-17 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
New York's passing game was quiet for most of the game with Mike White struggling, but Joe Flacco came in for the final drive and provided a spark, capping off the drive with a 15-yard touchdown pass to Moore. The rookie second-round pick has caught three touchdown passes thrown by three different quarterbacks over the past two games, so the Jets' revolving door under center hasn't hindered Moore's development.
Nov 5, 2021
Records pair of TDs in loss
Moore brought in seven of eight targets for 84 yards and two touchdowns in the Jets' 45-30 loss to the Colts on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
The rookie was a bright spot in the high-scoring loss, catching a touchdown pass apiece from Mike White (forearm) and Josh Johnson to help keep the Jets competitive until late in the contest. The pair of 19-yard scoring grabs were the first two of Moore's career, and he's now posted the two most productive games of his brief time as a pro in the last five days. With new career highs established across the stat sheet Thursday, Moore will look to carry over the momentum into a difficult Week 10 home matchup against the stingy Bills secondary a week from Sunday.
Oct 31, 2021
Career-high six catches in win
Moore caught all six of his targets for 67 yards and added a four-yard rush in Sunday's 34-31 win over the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Moore set career highs in catches and receiving yards, aided by the strong quarterback play of Mike White, who threw for 405 yards in his first career start. With White set to make another start Thursday against the Colts and top wide receiver Corey Davis fighting an uphill battle to return from the hip injury that kept him sidelined against Cincinnati, Moore could have a nice opportunity to build on this breakout effort in Week 9.
Oct 24, 2021
Scores first TD on end around
Moore caught one of six targets for 13 yards and added a 19-yard touchdown run in Sunday's 54-13 loss to New England.
ANALYSIS
Moore remained inefficient as a receiver but showcased his open-field ability on an end around to score the first touchdown of his career. Given Moore's struggles on the outside, it could behoove the Jets to give him more opportunities in the slot, where the rookie second-round pick excelled at Ole Miss. However, moving Moore to the slot would mean a reduced role for veteran slot receiver Jamison Crowder, so it remains to be seen whether New York opts for such a move in Week 8 against the Bengals.
Oct 8, 2021
Cleared for takeoff in London
Moore (concussion) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Moore cleared the concussion protocol earlier in the week and logged consecutive practices Thursday and Friday to set aside all doubts about his availability for an appetizing matchup against an ineffective and injury-riddled Atlanta secondary in London. Per Rich Cimini of ESPN.com, rookie quarterback Zach Wilson believes Moore is on the verge of a breakout performance, much like Wilson himself had in Moore's absence in Week 4 against the Titans.
Oct 7, 2021
Practices fully Thursday
Moore (concussion) practiced fully Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Moore previously cleared the NFL's concussion protocol and is thus in line to be a go for Sunday's game against the Falcons. In his looming return to action, Moore and Keelan Cole figure to compete for Week 5 snaps behind the team's top two wide receiver options, Corey Davis and Jamison Crowder.
Oct 6, 2021
Officially limited Wednesday
Moore (concussion) was limited at practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Cimini, Moore -- who has cleared the NFL's concussion protocol -- looks good in terms of his availability for Sunday's game against the Falcons, but the rookie wideout will presumably need to practice fully in order to head into the weekend minus a Week 5 injury designation. If he's a go versus Atlanta, Moore and Keelan Cole figure to vie for snaps behind the team's top two WR options, Corey Davis and Jamison Crowder.
Oct 6, 2021
Cleared to practice
Moore will practice Wednesday after having cleared the NFL's concussion protocol, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.
ANALYSIS
With that, the rookie second-rounder is trending toward returning to the Jets' lineup Sunday against the Falcons. If that's the case, Moore figures to compete with Keelan Cole for WR snaps and targets that don't go to Corey Davis and Jamison Crowder, who returned to action in Week 4.
Oct 4, 2021
Almost out of concussion protocol
Head coach Robert Saleh said Monday that Moore is considered day-to-day and should soon clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore's return to full participation in practice Wednesday would likely support Saleh's comments, but even if the rookie wideout is limited in the Jets' first Week 5 session, he would put himself in good position to suit up Sunday in Atlanta. While Moore and Jeff Smith (concussion) were sidelined for the Week 4 overtime victory over the Titans, Keelan Cole (three receptions for 92 yards on four targets) was the primary beneficiary of added playing time alongside starters Corey Davis and Jamison Crowder.
Oct 1, 2021
Won't play Week 4
Moore (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus Tennessee, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore suffered the concussion during last week's loss to the Broncos and won't be available this weekend, though coach Robert Saleh hopes the rookie wideout will clear the concussion protocol next week. Jeff Smith (concussion) has also been ruled out, so Denzel Mims will be active for Sunday after being a healthy scratch the past two games.
Sep 30, 2021
Logs another DNP
Moore (concussion) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The same applies to fellow WR Jeff Smith (concussion), with the duo's Week 4 status looking cloudy at this stage. On the plus side from the Jets' perspective, however, is that slot man Jamison Crowder (groin) logged another limited session and is trending toward a return to action Sunday against the Titans.
Sep 29, 2021
Not practicing Wednesday
Moore (concussion) wasn't spotted at practice Wednesday, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore will thus aim to clear the NFL's concussion protocol in advance of Sunday's game against the Titans. While the 2021 second-rounder's Week 4 status is currently cloudy, on the plus side, it looks like the Jets will welcome Jamison Crowder (groin) back into the WR mix this weekend.
Sep 26, 2021
Concussed in Week 3 loss
Moore has been diagnosed with a concussion after sustaining a head injury in Sunday's loss to the Broncos, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore was evaluated for a head injury late, and the examination has revealed a concussion. The rookie wide receiver will need to clear concussion protocol in order to play in Week 4 against the Titans as the Jets try to pick up their first win of the season.
Sep 26, 2021
Examined for head injury
Moore is under evaluation for a head injury in the later stages of Sunday's game in Denver.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear when exactly Moore may have been banged up, but if he's unable to return he'll come out of Week 3 with three catches (on six targets) for 22 yards and potentially a concussion. With both Jamison Crowder (groin) and Denzel Mims (coach's decision) sidelined Sunday, the Jets currently have four healthy wide receivers (Corey Davis, Keelan Cole, Braxton Berrios and Jeff Smith) on the active roster.

Four catches in Week 2 loss
Moore caught four of eight targets for 47 yards in Sunday's 25-6 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Moore looked more comfortable in his second game after struggling in his debut. Only slot receiver Braxton Berrios saw more targets from rookie quarterback Zach Wilson, so Moore's quickly being integrated into the Jets' admittedly underwhelming offense. Jamison Crowder (groin) will command targets when he returns, be it in Week 3 against the Broncos or later, but he's more likely to cut into Berrios' volume than Moore's.

Falls flat in debut
Moore caught one of four targets for minus-3 yards in Sunday's 19-14 loss to Carolina.
ANALYSIS
Moore showed some rookie nerves in his NFL debut, as both of his first-half targets were in his hands but ended up incomplete. Things didn't get any better after halftime, even as the rest of the Jets' offense came alive around him. The rookie second-round pick apparently had a sensational camp but was unable to replicate that success when it counts. Moore should improve as he gets more comfortable, and he could continue to see plenty of playing time if Jamison Crowder (illness) or Keelan Cole (knee) aren't ready to return in Week 2 against the Patriots.

Injuries clear path to start opener
Moore is expected to play a prominent role in Sunday's game against the Panthers, as fellow wide receiver Jamison Crowder won't come off the reserve/COVID-19 list in time to suit up, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore played predominantly in the slot in college, and he's set to work as New York's top option there in his NFL debut with Crowder sitting out. The rookie second-round pick out of Ole Miss is capable of shifting to the outside, where he could also see more action than anticipated if Keelan Cole (knee) -- who is a game-time decision -- joins Crowder on the sidelines.

Listed as starter on Week 1 chart
Moore holds one of the three starting spots on the Jets' Week 1 depth chart with Jamison Croser still on the COVID/Reserves list, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore's snap count in the opener could be directly tied to Crowder's availability. Crowder still has a chance to suit up for the Jets on Sunday, so keep an eye on his status as the week progresses. Should Crowder sit out, Moore could be a sneaky play in some fantasy formats, though his absence from preseason play didn't help his cause. Corey Davis and Keelan Cole are the other two listed starters for the opener.

Coach doubts he'll play Friday
Coach Robert Saleh said Wednesday that he doubts Moore will suit up for Friday's preseason finale against the Eagles, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore said Tuesday that he expects to play, but his coach contradicted that notion one day later. Considering the decision is ultimately in Saleh's hands, chances are Moore's NFL debut will have to wait until Week 1 against the Panthers. Moore has looked spry in practice this week since returning from a quadriceps injury, but the Jets understandably want to play it safe with the rookie receiver considering the team has been ravaged by injuries throughout camp.

Expected to play Friday
Moore (quadriceps) plans to play in Friday's preseason finale against the Eagles, Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.tv reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore was enjoying a tremendous camp before getting hurt, and the rookie second-round pick could still work his way into a starting role before the Jets open the regular season Sep. 12 in Carolina. He's expected to make his preseason debut Friday, and the coaching staff plans to play New York's other rookies as well, which could allow Moore to start building some in-game chemistry with quarterback Zach Wilson. That being said, Moore's usage will likely be limited to a drive or two since he's expected to play a prominent role once the games start to count.

Back at practice
Moore (quadriceps) returned to team drills Tuesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The rookie seems to be a full participant in his first practice since Aug. 12, potentially setting up an appearance Friday night in a preseason game against the Eagles. Even if he doesn't play, Moore should be ready 16 days later when the Jets open their 2021 campaign with a trip to Carolina. Playing time remains a larger concern than his quad, as the Jets also have Corey Davis, Jamison Crowder, Keelan Cole and Denzel Mims at wide receiver, and they'll all be catching passes from a rookie QB.

Not spotted in warmups
Moore (quadriceps) is not in line to suit up Saturday versus the Packers, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
ANALYSIS
This wasn't a surprise considering Moore was expected 2-to-3 weeks after injuring his quadriceps in practice ahead of the team's preseason opener. The dynamic rookie was arguably one of the Jets' breakout training-camp stars and still appears to be on track for Week 1 of the regular season.

Out at least a week
Moore (quadriceps) won't practice this week but could return as soon as next week, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore was removed from practice Thursday and held out of the preseason opener Saturday, but reporters did spot him doing some work in the rehab area during Monday's practice. His progress will need to be monitored over the next few weeks, even after coach Robert Saleh said Monday that he isn't worried about the rookie's availability for the regular-season opener at Carolina on Sept. 12, per Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald.

Limited to side work
Moore (quadriceps) is working in the rehab area during Monday's practice, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore was injured during Thursday's practice and missed Saturday's preseason opener against the Giants. Coach Robert Saleh considers the rookie day-to-day, an assessment that's backed up by Moore's ability to do some limited work on the rehab field already. The second-round pick is competing for snaps in a deep WR group, joined by Corey Davis, Jamison Crowder, Keelan Cole and Denzel Mims.

Injuring seemingly not serious
Head coach Robert Saleh said after Saturday's preseason game against the Giants that Moore (quad) is considered day-to-day, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post.
ANALYSIS
The results of the MRI that Moore underwent after injuring his quad Thursday were not released, but based on Saleh's comments, it does not appear he is dealing with something that will cost him extended time. Moore did not play Saturday, though, and while he will have a chance to play in the Jets' second exhibition contest, he will not have much additional recovery time with that game being played just six days later.

Not in uniform for preseason opener
Moore (quad) was not spotted during warmups prior to Saturday's preseason opener against the Giants, according to Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York.
ANALYSIS
Moore left Thursday's practice with a quad injury, and although the results of a follow-up MRI have not been released, it does not appear he will take the field Saturday. Expect the Jets to provide an official update on Moore's status at some point in the coming days.

Getting MRI on quad
Moore will have an MRI on his quad following an early exit from practice Thursday, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Robert Saleh didn't actually rule Moore out for Saturday's preseason opener against the Giants, but the scheduling of an MRI suggests the rookie's injury is serious enough to keep him sidelined for at least a few days. Moore could make it back for the second or third week of the preseason as he makes his case for regular snaps at a crowded position in New York.

Building momentum in camp
Moore has been making impressive plays in every practice so far, Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.tv reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore is mixing in with the first team and quarterback Zach Wilson at times, though he doesn't have a designated starting position as of yet. The rookie second-round pick has been getting glowing reports ever since he arrived at One Jets Drive. If he can translate his strong play in camp into in-game production during the preseason in August, Moore should carve out a prominent role once the games start to count come September.

Signs rookie deal
Moore signed his rookie contract with the Jets on Thursday and is expected to play both in the slot and outside as a rookie, Joey Chandler of NJ.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore's signing leaves second overall pick Zach Wilson as New York's lone unsigned rookie at this point. The versatile receiver was used primarily in the slot but also played on the outside at Ole Miss, and coach Robert Saleh said he envisions a similar usage pattern for Moore at the NFL level, praising Moore's ability to execute routes at a high level no matter where he lines up. That versatile role will likely lead to a steeper learning curve for Moore in terms of understanding the play book, but his innate knack for the game coupled with the rookie receiver's strong work ethic should ease Moore's transition to the pros.

Impressing in practice
Moore has drawn rave reviews from coach Robert Saleh and has been the star of the Jets' offseason practices, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Saleh described both Moore's work ethic and mindset as "off the charts." The rookie 34th overall selection played predominantly in the slot in college but has been lining up both in the slot and outside so far in practice. Moore's outstanding route running ability and speed coupled with the intangibles Saleh praised have allowed Moore to excel despite his slight 5-10, 178-pound frame. He appears poised to join DK Metcalf and A.J. Brown as the latest wide receiver out of Ole Miss to turn into an impact player at the NFL level.
