Reverts to IR
Ingram (undisclosed) reverted to injured reserve Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
The Chiefs waived Ingram with an injury designation Thursday, and after clearing waivers, the 25-year-old was placed on IR. The USC product got into just one game for Kansas City last season, logging five special-teams snaps and no offensive snaps. Ingram will miss the 2025 campaign unless he works out an injury settlement with the Chiefs.

Waived/injured by KC
Ingram (undisclosed) was waived/injured by the Chiefs on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
The running back will revert to injured reserve once he clears waivers. Ingram spent 2024 with Kansas City, appeared in one game and on five special-teams snaps and landed a reserve/future contract after the season. The 2022 sixth-round pick of the Cardinals spent two seasons with his original team and carried the ball 62 times for 136 yards and a touchdown.

Inks future deal with Chiefs
Kansas City signed Ingram to a reserve/future contract Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Ingram signed a one-year, $985,000 contract with the Chiefs in February of 2024 after spending the first two year of his NFL career with the Cardinals. He wasn't able to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp in late August, but Ingram was signed to the active roster in mid-September after Isiah Pacheco was placed on injured reserve due to a fibula fracture. Ingram's only appearance of the 2024 season was Week 3 against the Falcons, and after being waived from the active roster Sept. 24 he opted to stick around by signing to the Chiefs' practice squad two days later. Ingram will be on the 90-man roster at the start of the new league year and will be able to participate in offseason training programs ahead of the 2025 season.
Sep 26, 2024
Back to practice squad
The Chiefs re-signed Ingram to the practice squad Thursday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Ingram was waived by Kansas City on Tuesday to make room for veteran running back Kareem Hunt on the 53-man roster. After having just played five snaps on special teams during the Chiefs' win over the Falcons in Week 3, despite Isaiah Pacheco (fibula) being on injured reserve, Ingram will now resume handling an emergency depth role for the team.
Sep 24, 2024
Let go by Kansas City
The Chiefs waived Ingram on Tuesday, per the NFL transaction log.
ANALYSIS
Ingram was signed to the active roster ahead of Kansas City's Week 3 matchup against Atlanta to provide backfield depth after Isiah Pacheco (fibula) was placed on injured reserve. Ingram ended up playing just five special-teams snaps in the Chiefs' win on Sunday over the Falcons, as he was buried on the depth chart behind Carson Steele and Samaje Perine. Ingram was waived Tuesday to make room on the active roster for Kareem Hunt, and the former will explore his next options should he clear waivers.
Sep 18, 2024
Joins active roster
Ingram has been signed to the Chiefs' active roster.
ANALYSIS
With Isiah Pacheco (leg) having landed on IR and out indefinitely, Ingram will bolster Kansas City's backfield depth ahead of Week 3 action. For now, Carson Steele and Samaje Perine are the other RBs on the team's active roster, with Clyde Edwards-Helaire on the reserve/non-football illness and Kareem Hunt having just been officially added to the practice squad. For now, Ingram figures to work in a depth role, though once Hunt is up to speed with the offense, he could be elevated and move ahead of Ingram on the team's depth chart.
Aug 28, 2024
Brought back by Kansas City
Ingram signed with the Chiefs' practice squad Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Ingram signed a reserve/future contract with the Chiefs in February after spending the first two years of his career with the Cardinals. He was unable to make Kansas City's 53-man roster after finishing the preseason with nine carries for 42 yards and two catches for nine yards, but the 2022 sixth-round pick will stick around on the practice squad.
Aug 27, 2024
Done in Kansas City
The Chiefs waived Ingram on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Ingram made a deal with Kansas City after an underwhelming start to his NFL career with the Cardinals, but now the Chiefs have decided to move on too. He has good physical tools, but his production as a pro up to this point has been poor.
Feb 14, 2024
Staying in Kansas City
The Chiefs signed Ingram to a reserve/future contract Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Ingram will stay in Kansas City where he spent time on the practice squad last season after being waived by Arizona. The 2022 sixth-round pick ran the ball 35 times for 74 yards in eight games with Cardinals last season and will look to compete for a backup spot behind Isiah Pacheco.
Jan 1, 2024
Back to practice squad
The Chiefs reverted Ingram to the practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
ANALYSIS
Ingram was called up as insurance for the Chiefs with Isaiah Pacheco (concussion/shoulder) and Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) listed as questionable ahead of Week 17. Although Edwards-Helaire didn't end up playing, Pacheco was able to suit up and the team opted to keep Ingram on the sidelines with La'Mical Perine operating as the RB2.
Dec 30, 2023
Up from practice squad
The Chiefs elevated Ingram from their practice squad ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
With both Isiah Pacheco (concussion/shoulder) and Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) listed as questionable for the contest, Ingram gives the Chiefs added Week 17 depth in a backfield that also includes La'Mical Perine. In eight games with the Cardinals prior to landing with Kansas City, Ingram logged 74 yards on 35 carries to go along with four catches for 26 yards.
Nov 30, 2023
Heads to Kansas City
The Chiefs signed Ingram to their practice squad Thursday, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The second-year running back out of USC has already found a new home after the Cardinals waived him just two days ago. Ingram saw an increased workload in Arizona while James Conner was on injured reserve, appearing in eight games and logging 100 yards from scrimmage on 39 touches. If Jerick McKinnon (groin) is unable to suit up this weekend, Ingram has a chance at being elevated to the Chiefs' active roster.
Nov 28, 2023
Cut loose by Arizona
Arizona waived Ingram on Tuesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
After claiming Michael Carter off waivers from the Jets and getting James Conner and Emari Demarcado back from injuries in recent weeks, the Cardinals didn't have much of a need to keep Ingram around as a fourth running back. Before he was a healthy inactive for the Cardinals' Week 12 loss to the Rams, Ingram appeared in eight games and mustered just 74 yards on 35 carries (2.1 average) to go with four receptions for 26 yards.
Nov 26, 2023
Healthy scratch Sunday
Ingram (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Sunday versus the Rams, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Ingram's workload has been yanked around from week to week, and now that Emari Demercado (toe) is back from a three-game absence, the former will be the odd man out in the Cardinals backfield. James Conner will continue to be the team's lead runner, but Demercado and Michael Carter are the available running backs behind him.
Nov 21, 2023
No snaps in Week 11
Ingram was active but didn't play in Sunday's 31-26 loss in Houston.
ANALYSIS
With fellow running back Emari Demercado (toe) still sidelined, James Conner easily paced the Cardinals backfield with 16 touches and 42 of 61 offensive snaps Sunday. Aside from Conner and Ingram, Tony Jones had two touches and 16 snaps on offense, while newcomer Michael Carter was a healthy scratch. Since receiving a season-high 12 touches Week 6, Ingram has 14 combined over the last five games, all of which he's been active for. Considering his recent lack of usage, Ingram appears to be on the outside looking in to any sort of role in Arizona's offense.
Nov 13, 2023
Gets two carries in Week 10
Ingram tallied two carries for two yards during Sunday's 25-23 win against the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
The Cardinals rode James Conner (knee) out of the backfield in his first action since Week 5, as he turned 41 (of 65) offensive snaps into 16 carries for 73 yards. Meanwhile, Ingram got 14 snaps, and fellow reserve Tony Jones recorded seven plays en route to one carry for 13 yards. With Conner cleared for his typical workhorse role moving forward, Ingram's usage likely will be contingent upon when Emari Demercado may be able to return from a toe injury. Still, Conner leaves nothing more than scraps for his backups, meaning Ingram is tough to trust for production for the foreseeable future.
Nov 5, 2023
Stymied as lead back in loss
Ingram rushed nine times for eight yards and wasn't targeted in the Cardinals' 27-0 loss to the Browns on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
With James Conner (knee) still on IR and Emari Demercado (toe) inactive, Ingram had an opportunity to helm the Cardinals' backfield. However the combination of a tough Browns defense and stacked fronts thanks to the presence of rookie fifth-round pick Clayton Tune under center for Arizona made it a forgettable day for Ingram before game script essentially froze out the ground attack. Conner is reportedly in play for a Week 10 return against the Falcons, but even if he sits out at least one more game, it's possible Demercado returns and relegates Ingram back to a complementary role.
Oct 31, 2023
Gets back into offensive mix
Ingram tallied two carries for nine yards and caught his only target for seven yards during Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
After being contained to nine snaps on special teams Week 7, Ingram regained a small foothold on offense, despite logging 29 plays in that realm. Meanwhile, Emari Demercado continued to dominate the Cardinals backfield with James Conner (knee) on injured reserve, turning 42 snaps into 21 touches for 79 yards from scrimmage. Fellow RB Damien suffered a foot injury Sunday, so Ingram may be the exclusive No. 2 option behind Demercado on Sunday in Cleveland.
Oct 24, 2023
No work on offense in Week 7
Ingram tallied nine snaps on special teams and none on offense during Sunday's 20-10 loss in Seattle.
ANALYSIS
One week removed from pacing the Cardinals with 10 carries in their first game since James Conner (knee) was placed on IR, Ingram was relegated entirely to special-teams work Sunday. The backfield instead was led by Emari Demercado, who turned an 80 percent snap share into 17 touches for 75 yards from scrimmage. Behind Demercado, Damien Williams had just one rush for two yards on 18 percent of the snaps. There's a chance that Demercado has a leg up on Williams and Ingram for touches until Conner returns, making it difficult to rely on Ingram for production.
Oct 15, 2023
Solid in lead back role
Ingram rushed 10 times for 40 yards and brought in both targets for 11 yards in the Cardinals' 26-9 loss to the Rams on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Ingram got first crack at the No. 1 running back job with James Conner (IR-knee) sidelined and put together a respectable performance on a per-touch basis. The second-year back only logged two more carries than Damien Williams, however, and the latter was actually more efficient by averaging 4.5 yards per carry. Ingram should have a very good chance of retaining a solid role for a Week 7 road matchup against the Seahawks, although Seattle's run defense has been notoriously stingy over the first six games of the season.
Oct 13, 2023
Cleared to play
Ingram (neck) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Rams, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Ingram upgraded to full practice participation Friday, and his impending return creates questions about the backfield pecking order for Arizona. Undrafted rookie Emari Demercado played every single snap in the second half of last week's loss to Cincinnati after James Conner (IR - knee) was knocked out, but the Cardinals then listed Ingram atop their Week 6 depth chart, with coach Jonathan Gannon offering nothing more than coachspeak that's of little use to fantasy managers. Odds are both Demercado and Ingram get touches this weekend, but the split will be tough to predict ahead of time.
Oct 12, 2023
Stays limited at practice
Ingram (neck) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Ingram continued to operate with a cap on his reps this week as he attempts to put an end to what so far has been a two-game absence due to a neck injury. With James Conner (knee) on injured reserve and out for at least the next four contests, Ingram seemingly would be the top candidate to produce out of the Cardinals backfield when he's healthy, but that hasn't come to pass yet. Ingram's status for Week 6 could gain some clarity once the team posts Friday's practice report, but if he's limited or sidelined Sunday at the Rams, Arizona's options at running back will be undrafted rookie Emari Demercado, Tony Jones and practice-squad members Damien Williams and Corey Clement.
Oct 11, 2023
Logs another limited session
Ingram (neck) practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dating back to last week, Ingram now has been listed as limited on three consecutive injury reports due to a neck issue. He may need to get back to all activity before the Cardinals feel comfortable clearing him for game action, as he's sat out back-to-back contests. Still, coach Jonathan Gannon told Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com on Wednesday that the team expects Ingram to return Sunday at the Rams. If Ingram is able to do so, he could get the first chance to start for James Conner (knee) during the latter's stint on injured reserve, especially considering Ingram currently is the No. 1 RB on Arizona's depth chart. Aside from Ingram, the other candidates for backfield reps are undrafted rookie Emari Demercado, Tony Jones and practice-squad members Damien Williams and Corey Clement.
Oct 11, 2023
Expected back this week
Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said Ingram (neck) is expected to play Sunday against the Rams, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
ANALYSIS
If so, Ingram will come back at a good time after missing two games, with the Cardinals having placed James Conner on injured reserve Tuesday. Emari Demercado played every snap on offense in the second half of Sunday's loss to Cincinnati, and while the rookie remains the best bet to fill Conner's shoes, there should also be room for Ingram and/or Tony Jones to get some touches.
Oct 8, 2023
Sitting again Sunday
Ingram (neck) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Ingram thus will log a second straight absence due to a neck injury that emerged late during Week 4 prep. With Ingram sidelined, Emari Demercado and perhaps Corey Clement will be on hand for any backfield reps that don't go to starter James Conner. Ingram's next chance to suit up arrives Sunday, Oct. 15 at the Rams.
Oct 6, 2023
Questionable for Week 5
Ingram (neck) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Bengals, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Ingram missed Wednesday's practice before managing back-to-back limited sessions to wrap up Week 5 prep. It remains to be seen whether or not his absence is contained to one or two games, but his availability won't be confirmed until 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. If Ingram is sidelined again, Emari Demercado will serve as the Cardinals' No. 2 running back behind James Conner.
Oct 5, 2023
Returns to limited practice
Ingram (neck) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to sitting out Week 4 at San Francisco, Ingram didn't practice at all last Friday due to a neck injury. The issue kept him out of this Wednesday's session, too, but his return in some capacity one day later indicates he's made some progress through the health concern. Ultimately, Friday's injury report may clear up his status, one way or another, for Sunday's game against the Bengals. If Ingram is limited or sidelined, Emari Demercado likely will handle the handful of RB touches that don't go to starter James Conner.
Oct 4, 2023
No practice Wednesday
Ingram (neck) didn't practice Wednesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Ingram has yet to practice since showing up as a limited participant on last Thursday's injury report due to a neck issue. It's fair to wonder if a multi-game absence may be on tap as a result, but as long as Ingram is sidelined, undrafted rookie Emari Demercado will serve as the Cardinals' No. 2 running back behind top option James Conner.
Oct 1, 2023
Not playing Sunday
Ingram (neck) is listed as inactive Sunday at San Francisco.
ANALYSIS
After showing up as limited on Thursday's practice report due to a neck injury, Ingram didn't practice at all Friday, resulting in a questionable tag for Week 4. Now that he won't be available to the Cardinals offense Sunday, Ingram will hand off reserve RB duties to Emari Demercado and practice-squad call-up Corey Clement behind starter James Conner.
Sep 30, 2023
Status in question
Ingram (neck) has drawn a questionable tag ahead of Sunday's game in San Francisco, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Ingram popped up on the injury report as a limited participant Thursday. He subsequently missed Friday's practice, so he is not trending in the right direction. Still, final confirmation on his status is not likely to come until Sunday morning. Emari Demercado would be in line to back up James Conner in the backfield if Ingram is ultimately unable to suit up.
Sep 28, 2023
Limited at Thursday's practice
Ingram (neck) was limited in practice Thursday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Ingram practiced fully Wednesday, so his addition to the Cardinals' injury report Thursday is noteworthy. On the plus side in terms of the team's Week 4 backfield composition, starter James Conner practiced fully Thursday after being limited Wednesday by a back issue.
Sep 26, 2023
Records 21 total yards Sunday
Ingram turned five carries into 13 yards and gathered in his only target for eight yards during Sunday's 29-16 victory versus the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Ingram earned his highest snap share (15 percent) in a game this season and also had his most-productive performance. Still, 21 yards from scrimmage isn't much to write home about, especially with James Conner dominating the Cardinals backfield through three contests to the tune of 74.3 percent of offensive plays and 58 touches for 292 total yards and two TDs. Ingram likely is locked into his current role without some sort of absence from Conner.
Sep 20, 2023
Handles two carries in loss
Ingram rushed two times for six yards in Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Ingram was a non-factor in the Cardinals' offense Sunday, as he played just 10 of Arizona's 65 offensive snaps in the contest. Fellow running back James Conner, however, played 47 snaps and handled 23 carries for 106 yards and a touchdown. Barring an injury to Conner, Ingram should remain far off the fantasy radar going forward. The 23-year-old will likely have a difficult time seeing much playing time when Cardinals host the Cowboys in Week 3.
Sep 12, 2023
Treads water in Week 1
Ingram had five carries for minus-4 yards during Sunday's 20-16 defeat at Washington.
ANALYSIS
Ingram's first four rushes all went for negative yardage, including three of them for minus-3 yards, so his final carry for six yards canceled out two of those losses. He also didn't get much run on offense (seven snaps), with James Conner easily pacing Cardinals running backs with 52 (of 62) plays and 19 touches for 70 yards from scrimmage. As a result, Ingram remains a fantasy non-entity without some sort of absence from Conner.
Aug 26, 2023
Four carries in preseason finale
Ingram carried the ball four times for 20 yards in Saturday's 18-17 preseason win over the Vikings. He also recorded one reception for three yards.
ANALYSIS
Ingram was the first back on the field with James Conner sitting out, and he played two offensive possessions. He ends the preseason with 11 carries for 48 yards and a touchdown and will enter the regular season as the second running back on the Arizona depth chart.
Aug 21, 2023
Looking good for RB2 role
Ingram is the frontrunner for the No. 2 RB job after taking nine touches for 48 yards in Saturday's preseason loss to Kansas City, according to Tyler Drake of Arizona Sports.
ANALYSIS
Ingram came back strong in the second week of the preseason after an abdomen injury kept him out for most of training camp and the first exhibition. It helps that the Cardinals don't have much else behind starter James Conner, otherwise relying on veteran special teamer Corey Clement, 2021 UDFA Ty'Son Williams and undrafted rookie Emari Demercado. Conner's injury history makes the RB2 role in Arizona all the more interesting, even after Ingram's rough rookie season with 31 touches for only 81 yards.
Aug 11, 2023
Not likely to play Friday
Ingram (abdomen) isn't expected to play in Friday's preseason game against the Broncos, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Ingram has missed the majority of training camp to date as he tends to an abdominal injury. It's unclear if starter James Conner will join Ingram on the sideline, but if he does, the Cardinals' available running backs for the exhibition opener will be Corey Clement, Ty'Son Williams, Emari Demercado and Stevie Scott.
Aug 7, 2023
Should be back soon
Head coach Jonathan Gannon said he hopes Ingram (abdomen) will be back at practice "pretty soon," Howard Balzer of GoPHNX.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Ingram has been rehabbing on a side field to start training camp, but it sounds like his abdomen issue is minor. If available, Ingram figures to operate as the No. 1 running back during the preseason, as it's unlikely veteran James Conner sees any snaps until the regular season. Ingram is competing for the top backup spot with Corey Clement, Ty'Son Williams, Marlon Mack and Emari Demercado.
Aug 4, 2023
Tending to injury
Ingram is tending to an undisclosed injury in the early stages of training camp, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The first full week of camp has seen Ingram suited up for practice but spending his time on the side during drills, per Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com. Considering James Conner may not see many, if any, snaps during the preseason, Arizona added six-year pro Marlon Mack to its backfield Friday. As such, the team's backs not named Conner, Ingram and Mack are Corey Clement, Ty'Son Williams and Emari Demercado.
Feb 18, 2023
Records just 31 touches as rookie
Ingram finished his rookie campaign with 27 carries for 60 yards and one touchdown and four catches (on five targets) for 21 yards in 12 appearances.
ANALYSIS
A 2022 sixth-round pick, Ingram was a healthy scratch for the first five games before making his debut Week 6. Despite numerous injuries in the backfield and the Cardinals cutting Eno Benjamin in early November, Ingram mustered three-plus touches in just three different contests and sputtered to 2.2 yards per carry. James Conner remains under contract with the team through 2024, but as the roster currently stands Ingram and Ty'Son Williams are the only other RBs ahead of the upcoming season. Arizona's new coaching staff and offseason moves may dictate how much work Ingram is able to squeeze out behind Conner, but the latter's injury history indicates the former could make a much larger mark in his second year as a pro.
Jan 6, 2023
Should get bigger role sans Conner
Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Ingram and Corey Clement will be in store for increased roles in Sunday's game against the 49ers with top back James Conner (shin/knee) ruled out for the contest, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
While Conner was sidelined for the entire fourth quarter of last week's win over the Falcons, Clement played 94 percent of the Cardinals' offensive snaps and carried five times for 25 yards in the final 15 minutes. Meanwhile, Ingram didn't garner any snaps on offense at any point during the contest, which suggests Clement may be the better bet of the two backs to pick up the Week 18 start and absorb most of Conner's snaps and touches. That being said, the Cardinals have more recent draft capital invested in Ingram, a sixth-round rookie, while the 28-year-old Clement has bounced around the league the past few seasons and profiles as more of a special-teams player at this stage of his career. With that in mind, it wouldn't be a complete surprise if Ingram carved out a larger role Sunday than expected, despite how he and Clement were deployed a week ago.
Dec 13, 2022
Carries once in loss
Ingram rushed once for one yard in Monday's 27-13 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Ingram played just nine offensive snaps in the contest, while starting running back James Conner was on the field for 71 of the Cardinals 75 offensive snaps. The rookie's lack of involvement while Conner operates as a true bell cow limit any potential he has to produce for fantasy purposes. Barring injuries, Ingram should be viewed as nothing more than a handcuff to Conner going forward. The Cardinals visit the Broncos in Week 15.
Nov 22, 2022
Gets five rushes Monday
Ingram notched five carries for 19 yards during Monday's 38-10 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
The Cardinals moved on from Eno Benjamin last week, effectively elevating Ingram to James Conner's direct backup. But with Conner able to handle a healthy majority of the snaps (55 of 71) and touches (16) Monday, Ingram was left with only a handful of opportunities on 18 offensive plays. While the carry count was the second-most of his young career, the 2022 sixth-round pick still is averaging just 2.5 YPC on his 19 rushes to date. Ingram thus doesn't hold much sway without Conner missing time.
Nov 15, 2022
Becomes No. 2 running back
Ingram is the only running back behind James Conner on the Cardinals' active roster after the team waived Eno Benjamin on Monday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Conner appeared to be operating on all cylinders Sunday at the Rams, earning 96 percent of the snaps and turning a season-high 24 touches into 86 yards from scrimmage and two TDs. Meanwhile, Ingram, a rookie sixth-rounder, was at seven percent and had one carry for five yards, and Benjamin rang in at one offensive play and muffed his only punt return. Conner will continue to handle the vast majority of reps out of Arizona's backfield moving forward. However, Ingram has a clear path to any reps that linger, especially with Darrel Williams (hip) and Jonathan Ward (hamstring) on IR, and Corey Clement and Ty'Son Williams the current candidates to be elevated from the team's practice squad.
Nov 8, 2022
Tallies one carry in Week 9
Ingram had a two-yard carry during Sunday's 31-21 defeat to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
With James Conner sidelined Weeks 6-8 due to a rib injury, Ingram got a bit of run on offense, notching 12 carries for 21 yards and a touchdown and hauling in both targets for 23 yards. But Conner returned to the lineup Week 9 and paced the Cardinals backfield with a 71 percent snap share and 12 touches, while Eno Benjamin moved back to a reserve role (27 percent, five touches). That left just one offensive play for Ingram, which leaves the rookie sixth-round pick on the outside looking in for reps as long as Conner is available.
Oct 21, 2022
Notches 11 touches Thursday
Ingram tallied nine carries for 14 yards and one touchdown and hauled in both targets for 23 yards during Thursday's 42-34 win against the Saints.
ANALYSIS
A rookie sixth-rounder, Ingram earned his first touches as a pro in the Cardinals' last two games with James Conner (ribs) and Darrel Williams (knee) sidelined and Jonathan Ward (hamstring) on IR. While his nine-snap debut Week 5 in Seattle resulted in just three carries for seven yards, Ingram bumped that up to 20 (of 66) offensive plays working behind Eno Benjamin on Thursday. If Conner and/or Williams are able to return for the team's next game Sunday, Oct. 30 at Minnesota, Ingram again may earn a healthy scratch, like he did for the first four contests of the campaign.
Oct 16, 2022
Making pro debut Sunday
Ingram is listed as active Sunday at Seattle, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
With James Conner Iribs) and Darrel Williams (knee) sidelined, Ingram, a 2022 sixth-round pick, will be suiting up for the first time in his career. Eno Benjamin is expected to be Arizona's lead runner Week 6, but Ingram should get his share of touches as well considering coach Kliff Kingsbury's penchant for getting multiple running backs involved on a weekly basis. Ingram also has to contend with the elevated Corey Clement behind Benjamin, so it's unclear how much work the rookie can expect in his pro debut.
Oct 14, 2022
Set to debut Week 6
Ingram is expected to make his NFL debut in Sunday's game in Seattle with James Conner (ribs) and Darrel Williams (knee) listed as out for the Week 6 contest, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Since he hasn't been a part of the Cardinals' special-teams units this season, Ingram, a sixth-round rookie out of USC, was inactive for each of the team's first five games while Arizona had all of its key running backs available. The losses of Conner and Williams for at least one week will pave the way for Ingram to dress, but the 22-year-old may only play a handful of snaps behind Eno Benjamin, who handled a workhorse role in the Week 5 loss to the Eagles following Conner's departure in the second quarter. The Cardinals will also elevate Corey Clement from the practice squad to provide another depth option behind Benjamin who may also challenge Ingram for the No. 2 role.
Oct 9, 2022
Debut delayed again
Ingram (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Sunday against the Eagles, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
With the rest of Arizona's backfield healthy and available, Ingram's pro debut again will have to wait until Week 6, at the earliest. The rookie sixth-round pick is taking a seat while James Conner serves as the team's lead runner, Eno Benjamin and Darrel Williams are around for any touches that don't go to Conner, and Jonathan Ward handles his customary special-teams role.
Oct 2, 2022
Not playing Sunday
Ingram (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Sunday at Carolina.
ANALYSIS
Yet again, Ingram will don street clothes as he awaits his pro debut. The rookie sixth-round pick may be a healthy scratch without an injury to multiple backfield mates, but until or if that comes to pass, James Conner will continue to be supported by Eno Benjamin, Darrel Williams and Jonathan Ward on game day.
Sep 25, 2022
No debut in Week 3
Ingram (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Ingram seemingly had a chance to dress for the first time in his career with James Conner (ankle) questionable for Week 3, but the latter is available Sunday, and the former's pro debut will have to wait at least another week. The rookie sixth-round pick thus will be in street clothes Sunday while Conner, Darrel Williams, Eno Benjamin and Jonathan Ward serve as Arizona's available running backs.
Sep 18, 2022
Inactive again Sunday
Ingram (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game in Las Vegas, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Like he was in the opener, Ingram is a healthy scratch Week 2. With the rookie sixth-round pick in street clothes, Arizona again will rely on James Conner as the team's top runner, while Eno Benjamin handles primary backup duties and Darrel Williams and Jonathan Ward likely stick to special-teams roles.

Sitting out Sunday
Ingram (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Sunday against the Chiefs, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The rest of Arizona's backfield is an experienced option, be it with the Cardinals or elsewhere in their respective careers. As such, Ingram, a 2022 sixth-round pick, will have to wait until at least Week 2 at Las Vegas for his first NFL action. In the meantime, James Conner will continue to be the team's primary running back, with Eno Benjamin, Darrel Williams and Jonathan Ward available in reserve.

Heavy workload in preseason finale
Ingram recorded 16 carries for 61 yards in Saturday's 26-23 preseason loss to Tennessee. He added one reception on four targets for eight yards.
ANALYSIS
Even with James Conner resting, Ingram was the third back on the field. He also got work in the second, third and fourth quarters, an indication that he is buried on the running back depth chart in Arizona. Positively, Ingram did tally an 11-yard run just before halftime, his longest gain on the day.

Six combined touches
Ingram rushed four times for nine yards and caught two of three targets for 20 yards in Sunday's preseason loss to the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Ingram wasn't able to replicate last week's trip to the end zone, but he did put his soft hands to work with two more catches to add to his preseason total. The sixth-round pick won't have much fantasy value so long as James Connor remains healthy, so a spot on the Cardinals' practice squad seems to be a more realistic goal for Ingram.

Falls to Arizona
The Cardinals selected Ingram in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 201st overall.
ANALYSIS
Ingram appeared to be on the fast track to stardom after strong freshman and sophomore seasons at Texas, but Bijan Robinson -- an elite prospect in his own right -- ended up boxing out Ingram in 2020. As a transfer at USC, Ingram was clearly the team's best running back in 2021 with 156 carries for 911 yards (5.8 YPC) and five touchdowns while adding 22 catches (25 targets) for 156 yards. While Ingram has never handled a workhorse role in college, he may have that capability, as he measured in at 6-foot, 221 pounds at the combine and ran a 4.53 40-yard dash. He has a good chance to settle in as the No. 2 running back behind James Conner right away, with Eno Benjamin representing his stiffest competition at the moment.
