Keep up with the latest injuries from the Jets vs Ravens game on Sunday with our National Football League injury report.Nov 9, 2025
Healthy scratch Week 10
Ali (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Ali worked exclusively on special teams in the two games since the Ravens' Week 7 bye. He will be a sideline observer for Sunday's game in Minnesota as the Ravens go with three running backs on the active roster in Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell. Ali's next opportunity to play is Week 11 against the Browns on Sunday, Nov. 16.
Oct 29, 2025
Limited to special teams
Ali returned three kickoffs for 88 yards in Sunday's 30-16 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Ali has been active for all seven of the Ravens' games this season, but he continues to be deployed almost exclusively on special teams. The reserve running back has logged just five offensive snaps all season and hasn't had a touch since carrying once for five yards in Baltimore's Week 1 loss to Buffalo.
Sep 20, 2025
Will play versus Detroit
Ali (concussion) isn't listed on Baltimore's injury report ahead of Monday's matchup versus Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Ali suffered a concussion during last week's win over the Browns but has now cleared the league's concussion protocol, making him eligible to return to the field. He should continue to serve as the team's top kick returner as well as their No. 3 running back behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill.
Sep 19, 2025
Logs full session
Ali (concussion) logged a full practice session Friday.
ANALYSIS
Ali suffered a concussion in Sunday's win over the Browns and was a limited participant Thursday. While his full practice Friday is a positive sign, he'll need to clear the league's concussion protocol before being cleared for Monday's matchup against the Lions.
Sep 18, 2025
Limited on Thursday
Ali (concussion) was limited in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Ali was concussed early in last Sunday's win over the Browns and will need to clear the league's protocol if he's going to play Monday night against the Lions. Ali has played one offensive snap this season, rushing one time for five yards.
Sep 14, 2025
Not returning Sunday
Ali (concussion) is out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Browns, Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
The running back and special-teams asset was evaluated for a possible concussion during the first quarter. Ali recorded one solo tackle before exiting. Justice Hill is next in line to take over his kickoff-return duties.
Sep 14, 2025
Might have concussion
Ali is getting evaluated for a possible concussion during Baltimore's matchup with Cleveland on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The running back and special teamer exited in the first quarter, but he did record a solo tackle before leaving the contest. Ali finished with 167 kickoff-return yards in the Ravens' 41-40 loss to the Bills in Week 1, and in his absence, Justice Hill might be next in line to return kicks.
Sep 9, 2025
Solid as kick returner in Week 1
Ali was Baltimore's primary kick returner Sunday against the Bills, racking up 167 yards on six opportunities. He added one carry for five yards.
ANALYSIS
Baltimore gave Ali the nod over Keaton Mitchell as the third active running back. Ali only saw one snap on offense, but he did impress on special teams as he routinely set Baltimore up in good field position. With Derrick Henry and Justice Hill both healthy, it's difficult to project much work for a No.3 running back in Baltimore. It will be worth monitoring whether Baltimore gives Ali another go in Week 2 against Cleveland, or sees what it has with Mitchell in the kick returner/depth running back role.
Aug 23, 2025
Scores TD on opening drive
Ali took nine carries for 36 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 30-3 preseason win over Washington.
ANALYSIS
The 2024 fifth-round pick solidified his argument for the No. 4 RB role, starting the final preseason game and hitting paydirt from nine yards out on the opening drive. D'Ernest Johnson also got snaps on the first drive, and then scored a TD on the second series, but Ali remains the favorite to stick around for one of Baltimore's final few roster spots. Fellow RBs Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell were among the dozens of Ravens rested Saturday, with coach John Harbaugh mostly using the game to evaluate the bottom of his roster. Harbaugh said in mid-August that the Ravens intend to keep a fourth RB (presumably Ali) on their initial regular-season roster.
Aug 17, 2025
In line to make roster
Ali rushed the ball 19 times for 62 yards in Saturday's 31-13 preseason win over the Cowboys. He added one reception on two targets for 10 yards.
ANALYSIS
Ali suffered an undisclosed injury during the Ravens' first preseason contest but was able to return Saturday. He drew the start with Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell (hamstring) all sitting and led the team with 19 carries. Most importantly, coach John Harbaugh said following the contest that the team would carry four running backs into the regular season, meaning Ali is very likely to make the roster, per Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun.
Aug 7, 2025
Dealing with injury
Ali suffered an undisclosed injury during Thursday's preseason game against the Colts, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Ali picked up 37 yards and a touchdown on nine carries in the contest, but he worked in behind Keaton Mitchell. That suggests he currently sits fourth on the running back depth chart in Baltimore, placing him on the roster bubble. The nature of the injury is unclear, but John Harbaugh suggested the Ravens may need to add depth at running back, hinting at the possibility of Ali missing additional time.
Aug 7, 2025
Rotates in behind Keaton Mitchell
Ali took nine carries for 37 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's preseason game against Indianapolis.
ANALYSIS
The stat line looks good, but Keaton Mitchell got the start and put up a 9-68-1 rushing line, taking five carries to Ali's one over the first two drives while second-string QB Cooper Rush was still in the game. Ali then got more work with the third unit, reinforcing the notion that he's stuck behind Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Mitchell on Baltimore's depth chart. The Ravens may still try to keep Ali around, either on the roster or practice squad, considering Mitchell and Hill both weigh less than 200 pounds.
Jan 19, 2025
Won't play in divisional round
Ali (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's divisional-round contest versus the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Ali was also inactive for last week's wild-card win against the Steelers, and it looks like the Ravens will once again roll with the three-man backfield of Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell in the divisional round. Ali, a rookie fifth-round pick out of Marshall, hasn't seen much playing time this season, recording 10 carries for 31 yards across six regular-season appearances.
Jan 11, 2025
Not suiting up Saturday
Ali (coach's decision) is inactive for Saturday's AFC wild-card game against the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
The Ravens will go with a three-man backfield of Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell for Saturday's playoff game, which means Ali will observe the contest in street clothes. He would have a chance to suit up for the AFC divisional round should the Ravens advance.
Jan 1, 2025
Logs full practice Wednesday
Ali (hip) was a full participant in in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Ali suffered a hip injury during the Ravens' Christmas Day win over the Texans. Given his ability to practice in full Wednesday after logging a limited session Tuesday, the rookie fifth-round pick is trending towards being available for Saturday's regular-season finale against the Browns.
Dec 31, 2024
Logs limited practice Tuesday
Ali (hip) was a limited practice participant Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Ali exited early from last Wednesday's Week 17 game due to a hip issue, but he was able to get on the field to practice (albeit in a limited fashion) during Baltimore's first session this week. The rookie running back's level of participation Wednesday and Thursday should shed more light on his likelihood of being able to suit up against the Browns on Saturday. Meanwhile, fellow backup ball carrier Justice Hill (concussion/illness) didn't practice at all Tuesday.
Dec 25, 2024
Out due to hip injury
Ali won't return to Wednesday's game at Houston due to a hip injury.
ANALYSIS
With Justice Hill (concussion) sidelined Wednesday, Ali got the first RB touch that didn't go to starter Derrick Henry, but that carry went for minus-3 yards, and his only other contribution was a 23-yard return on the opening kickoff. Ali will have plenty of time to recover for the Ravens' season finale on either Jan. 4 or 5 against the Browns.
Dec 15, 2024
Suiting up again
Ali is active for Sunday's game against the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Ali will be active for the Ravens' second straight matchup after being a healthy scratch for 11 of the team's first 12 games. He has played exclusively on special teams, which likely will continue Sunday.
Dec 1, 2024
In uniform Sunday
Ali is active for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
With Keaton Mitchell a healthy scratch, Ali is back in the mix Sunday to provide backfield depth behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill. Ali figures to make most of his impact in Week 13 as a special-teamer.
Nov 25, 2024
Missing Week 12
Ali (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday night's matchup against the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
The rookie from Marshall will be a healthy scratch for the second consecutive game Monday night. Ali has appeared in just one game this season, failing to record a stat across nine special-teams snaps. Baltimore's running back room will now consist of Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell in Week 13.
Nov 17, 2024
Inactive for Week 11
Ali (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Ali was sidelined for the Ravens' previous three games due to an ankle injury. However, despite being over the injury, Ali will be in street clothes Sunday as the Ravens go with a backfield of Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell.
Nov 13, 2024
Off injury report
Ali (ankle) was absent from the Ravens' injury report Wednesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Ali was sidelined for Baltimore's past four games due to an ankle injury; however, his omission from Wednesday's injury report suggests he's moved past the issue. The rookie from Marshall has appeared in just one game this season, failing to record a stat across nine special-teams snaps. He's expected to serve as the Ravens' No. 4 running back as the season progresses, playing behind Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell.
Nov 7, 2024
Not suiting up Thursday
Ali (ankle) is inactive for Thursday's Week 10 contest against Cincinnati.
ANALYSIS
Ali was able to practice in full both Tuesday and Wednesday, but he isn't going to take the field on Thursday Night Football. The rookie's inactive status coincides with the season debut of fellow running back Keaton Mitchell, who was activated off the reserve/PUP list Thursday following a long layoff as a result of tearing the ACL in his left knee last December. With Mitchell officially back in the fold, Ali could have a hard time seeing game action on offense moving forward.
Nov 6, 2024
Still iffy for Thursday
Ali (ankle) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Ali logged back-to-back full practice sessions Tuesday and Wednesday, but his status for Week 10 will remain in question until the team releases its inactive list at about 6:45 PM ET on Thursday. Even if healthy, it's also possible Ali could remain sidelined as a coach's decision, if Keaton Mitchell (knee) is moved to the active roster and suits up for the game.
Nov 5, 2024
Upgrades to full practice Tuesday
Ali (ankle) was listed as a full practice participant on Tuesday's injury report.
ANALYSIS
Ali has been sidelined for the Ravens' last three games due to an ankle injury, but the rookie fifth-round pick appears to be on track to return against the Bengals on Thursday. Ali would serve as the No. 3 running back behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill if Keaton Mitchell (knee) is not activated from the PUP list before Thursday's game.
Nov 1, 2024
No go for Week 9
Ali (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup with the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Ali will be forced to miss a third consecutive game after suffering an ankle injury in Week 6 versus the Commanders. The running back has only logged nine snaps on special teams this season, so his absence doesn't carry a major impact for Baltimore.
Oct 30, 2024
Begins week with DNP
Ali (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
The rookie running back from Marshall has been sidelined for each of the Ravens' last two games due to an ankle issue, and Wednesday's DNP suggests he could be in jeopardy of missing even more time. Ali likely needs to upgrade to at least limited participation Thursday or Friday in order to suit up for Baltimore's Week 9 matchup against the Broncos.
Oct 25, 2024
Out versus Browns
Ali (ankle) is out for Sunday's matchup against the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Ali has been struggling with injuries all year, appearing in just nine special teams snaps in Week 6 against Washington this whole year. The 5-foot-11 running back likely won't have much of a role with beyond special teams with the team when he is able to return, but his next chance to do so will be Nov. 3 at home against Denver.
Oct 24, 2024
Not practicing yet
Ali (ankle) is not participating in Thursday's practice, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Ali, a rookie fifth-round pick, came off IR on Oct. 12 after missing Baltimore's first five games due to a neck injury, but he then sustained an ankle issue after suiting up Week 6 against the Commanders. He'll have one more opportunity, on Friday, to get back on the practice field prior to Sunday's road game against the Browns.
Oct 19, 2024
Won't play vs. Tampa Bay
Ali (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Monday's game against the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Ali was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, but he finished the week with back-to-back DNPs and he will not make the trip to Tampa Bay. His next chance at suiting up will be Week 8 against the Browns on Oct. 27. The Ravens will likely go with just two running backs Monday in Derrick Henry and Justice Hill, as practice squad RB Chris Collier has already been elevated to the active roster for the maximum three times.
Oct 18, 2024
Doesn't practice Friday
Ali (ankle) didn't practice Friday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Ali appears to be trending toward not playing in Monday night's matchup against the Buccaneers, as he downgraded from limited participation in Thursday's practice to a DNP on Friday. The rookie out of Marshall made his NFL debut in Baltimore's Week 6 win over the Commanders, playing just nine special-teams snaps. He'll likely need to upgrade to at least limited participation Saturday in order to suit up in Week 7.
Oct 17, 2024
Now dealing with ankle injury
Ali (neck) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Cordell Woodland of 105.7 The Fan Baltimore reports.
ANALYSIS
Ali missed the first five games of the regular season due to a neck injury, but he was able to return for Week 6 against the Commanders, during which he logged nine snaps on special teams. It appears the rookie fifth-rounder picked up an ankle injury in the process, which limited his practice participation Thursday. Ali will have two more chances to upgrade his practice participation ahead of Monday's showdown against the Buccaneers.
Oct 13, 2024
Cleared to make NFL debut
Ali (neck) is active for Sunday's game against the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Ali missed the Ravens' first five games while on IR due to a neck issue he sustained in early September. While he's cleared to make his NFL debut, the rookie fifth-round pick is expected to have a minor reserve role behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill.
Oct 12, 2024
Taken off IR
Ali (neck) was activated off injured reserve Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Ali landed on IR in early September due to a neck issue and sat out Baltimore's first five games. He was designated to return Oct. 3 but remained on IR until his activation Saturday. If he's cleared to suit up Sunday, Ali -- who is officially questionable for the contest -- could make his NFL regular-season debut, but he probably won't get many offensive snaps behind a healthy Derrick Henry and Justice Hill.
Oct 11, 2024
Deemed questionable
Ali (neck) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Ali has practiced in full for the last two weeks, but the Ravens don't need to rush him back thanks to a stable backfield of Derrick Henry and Justice Hill. If he is activated from injured reserve, Ali should be set for his NFL debut.
Oct 5, 2024
Not activated off IR yet
Ali was not activated off injured reserve Saturday.
ANALYSIS
The Ravens instead chose to call up Chris Collier from the practice squad. Despite Ali practicing in full earlier this week, the team evidently wants to give the rookie fifth-round pick another full week of practice time to ramp up in hopes of playing Week 6.
Oct 4, 2024
Full practice but still on IR
Ali (neck) was a full participant in practice Friday but remains on injured reserve and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Ali's full participation Friday is an encouraging sign in his recovery from a neck injury, but it remains to be seen if the rookie fifth-round pick will be given the green light to make his NFL debut as Baltimore takes on an AFC North rival. The Ravens would have to officially activate Ali from injured reserve prior to Sunday's game for him to be eligible to play. Even if Ali suits up, he's unlikely to play a significant role with Derrick Henry and Justice Hill both thriving in Baltimore's backfield.
Oct 3, 2024
Returning to practice
The Ravens designated Ali (neck) for return to practice Thursday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Ali remains on injured reserve, but now that he's set to practice, the Ravens will have 21 days to evaluate him before adding him to the 53-man roster. Assuming he experiences no setbacks with his neck injury while practicing, Ali will eventually provide the team with backfield depth behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill.
Sep 5, 2024
Lands on IR
Ali (neck) has been placed on IR by the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
As a result, Ali will miss at least Baltimore's first four regular-season contests. To provide the team with backfield depth for Thursday night's opener against the Chiefs, John Kelly was elevated from the Ravens' practice squad to work behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill.
Sep 4, 2024
Doubtful for Week 1
Ali (neck) is listed as doubtful for Thursday night's season opener against the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
With Ali trending toward inactive status Thursday, the Ravens' Week 1 backfield depth behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill is currently taxed. The team does, however, have the option to elevate John Kelly or Chris Collier from the practice squad to address that.
Sep 3, 2024
Another limited practice
Ali (neck) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice, Cordell Woodland of 105.7 The Fan Baltimore reports.
ANALYSIS
Ali will have one more chance to increase his rep count in Wednesday's practice, after which point the Ravens will have to tag him with an injury designation for Thursday's regular-season opener against the Chiefs. The rookie fifth-round pick has cleared the concussion protocol, but he's still working his way back from a stinger sustained during Baltimore's preseason opener.
Sep 2, 2024
Limited in practice Monday
Ali (neck) was a limited participant in Monday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Ali is listed with a neck injury on Monday's first official practice report of the season, indicating that he's managed to clear the league's concussion protocol. The rookie fifth-round pick still appears to be managing a stinger sustained during Baltimore's preseason opener, though. He'll have two more opportunities to upgrade his participation level ahead of Thursday's regular-season opener against the Chiefs.
Aug 26, 2024
Iffy for Week 1
Coach John Harbaugh noted Monday that Ali is in concussion protocol, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Harbaugh, the status of Ali -- who suffered a reported stinger in the Ravens' preseason opener -- is iffy for the team's regular-season opener, Sept. 5 against the Chiefs. With fellow RB Owen Wright having suffered a broken foot Saturday, the Ravens' backfield depth behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill is currently taxed. As a result, it wouldn't be surprising to see Baltimore address the situation before, during or after initial roster cut-downs.
Aug 20, 2024
Resumes practicing
Ali (neck) returned to practice Tuesday, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.comreports.
ANALYSIS
A stinger had prevented Ali from participating in practice since the Ravens' preseason opener, but the 2024 fifth-rounder's return to the field Tuesday should allow him to resume competing for a depth role in Baltimore's backfield behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill. Ali's primary competition on that front is Owen Wright, who originally joined the team as an undrafted free agent last May.
Aug 19, 2024
Uncertain for roster spot
Ali (neck) hasn't practiced since Baltimore's preseason opener and isn't a lock for the 53-man roster, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Ali suffered a stinger in the preseason-opening loss to Philadelphia, after taking 10 carries for 26 yards and one catch for four yards. He then missed Saturday's preseason win over the Falcons, with Owen Wright getting the start at running back in a game that saw the Ravens hold out a slew of veterans players, including Derrick Henry and Justice Hill. Baltimore took Ali in the fifth round of this year's draft, so he could stick around even if the team didn't see what it was hoping for this summer.
Aug 11, 2024
Misses practice Sunday
Ali did not practice Sunday while dealing wtih an undisclosed injury, Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Ravens coach John Harbaugh said following Sunday's practice that Ali sustained a stinger injury during Friday's 16-13 preseason loss to the Eagles. The rookie fifth-round pick posted 10 carries and one catch and returned one kickoff during this preseason opener, so it's unclear when or how this injury occurred. Harbaugh also mentioned that the 23-year-old rookie might be placed in concussion protocol, though he appeared unsure about this and did not delve into any specifics other than saying that the issue was not serious. Either way, Ali will have a little under a week to return to practice before the next preseason game against Atlanta on Saturday.
Aug 9, 2024
Makes little impact Friday
Ali carried the ball 10 times for 26 yards and caught one of three targets for four yards in Friday's 16-13 preseason loss to the Eagles. He also returned one kickoff for 31 yards.
ANALYSIS
The Ravens rested their key offensive personnel, including Derrick Henry and Justice Hill, but it was undrafted second-year player Owen Wright who got the start in the backfield and played the entire first half. Ali, a fifth-round pick in the 2024 Draft, took over in the third quarter but managed only 30 scrimmage yards on 11 touches to Wright's 50 yards on eight touches. With Keaton Mitchell (knee) also expected to be ahead of Ali in the pecking order once he's healthy, the rookie would appear to have a lot of work to do to put himself in position to have fantasy value in 2024.
Jul 23, 2024
Over biceps injury
Ali (biceps) participated in Monday's training camp practice, Ryan Mink and Matt Ryan of the Ravens' official website reports.
ANALYSIS
Ali was injured at the Senior Bowl leading up to the 2024 NFL Draft but is all systems go for the start of camp in Baltimore. Taken 165th overall out of Marshall, Ali is competing for a roster spot behind the likes of Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell (knee, PUP). Ali figures to see heavy preseason usage this summer.
May 4, 2024
Right on schedule
Ali (biceps) is participating in some of the Ravens' minicamp drills and is expected to be fully recovered ahead of training camp, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The rookie fifth-round pick ruptured his biceps tendon at the Senior Bowl back in late January, but the Marshall product is expected to be fully recovered ahead of Baltimore's training camp in August. Ali is poised to compete for a pivotal role in the backfield with J.K. Dobbins (Achilles) and Gus Edwards both with the Chargers and Keaton Mitchell (knee) still recovering after tearing his ACL in December.
May 4, 2024
Hopeful for training camp
Head coach John Harbaugh indicated Saturday that he expects Ali (biceps) to be good to go in time for training camp, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Ali ruptured his biceps tendon at the Senior Bowl, but he was still selected by the Ravens in the fifth-round of this year's draft. The intriguing prospect had multiple 1,000-yard seasons with Marshall, but he also missed nearly the entire 2022 campaign due to an MCL injury. When healthy, he projects to compete for a role providing depth in Baltimore's backfield behind Derrick Henry.
