Van Jefferson Injury News & Updates
Keep up with the latest injuries from the Chiefs vs Titans game on Sunday with our National Football League injury report.Dec 8, 2025
Targeted four times
Jefferson recorded two catches on four targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 31-29 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was second among the Titans' wide receivers with 48 offensive snaps, with only Elic Ayomanor logging more. He earned four targets for the second consecutive week, though his longest gain went for only 11 yards. Jefferson has now been held to fewer than 20 yards in three consecutive games and has topped 25 receiving yards only twice on the campaign.
Dec 1, 2025
Three catches in loss
Jefferson recorded three catches on four targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 25-3 loss to the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson saw a slight downturn in snaps due to the return of Elic Ayomanor, but he still managed four targets. He converted three of those into short gains, though he has still topped 25 receiving yards only twice in 12 games this season.
Nov 24, 2025
Only one catch
Jefferson recorded one catch on one target for 11 yards in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was on the field for 90 percent of offensive snaps, but Chimere Dike, Gunnar Helm and Xavier Restrepo were all far more involved in the offense. Jefferson has recorded under 25 receiving yards in 10 of 12 games this season.
Nov 16, 2025
Catches first TD of 2025
Jefferson caught three passes on seven targets for 22 yards and a touchdown during the Titans' 16-13 loss to the Texans on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was thrust into a bigger role on offense following injuries to Calvin Ridley (fibula), Elic Ayomanor (hamstring) and Chimere Dike (chest). Jefferson ended up leading the Titans pass catchers with seven targets and helped tie the game at 13-13 late in the fourth quarter, when he hauled in a four-yard touchdown pass from Cam Ward. Ridley is out for the rest of the season due to a broken fibula, and Jefferson could be thrust into the Titans' WR1 role against the Seahawks in Week 12 if Ayomanor and Dike are unable to play.
Nov 3, 2025
Limited to one catch
Jefferson recorded one catch on four targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson maintained a significant role in the Tennessee offense with Calvin Ridley (hamstring) sidelined. He's managed at least four targets in four straight games, though Jefferson has managed only one reception in each of his last two contests. He should continue to get opportunities so long as Ridley is sidelined, but Jefferson's production will be sporadic at best.
Oct 27, 2025
Can't connect with Ward
Jefferson recorded one reception on eight targets for six yards in Sunday's 38-14 loss to the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was on the field for 78 percent of offensive snaps with Calvin Ridley (hamstring) sidelined again. He managed to match Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike in targets, but Jefferson was extremely inefficient with that opportunity. Jefferson should continue to see an expanded role so long as Ridley is sidelined, but his fantasy value still remains very limited.
Oct 17, 2025
Good to go while Ridley's out
Jefferson (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Titans, while Calvin Ridley (hamstring) has been ruled out, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson upgraded to full practice participation Friday after a pair of limited sessions to gain clearance. He took on a larger role after Ridley got hurt in the Week 6 loss to the Raiders, as Jefferson finished with four catches for 75 yards. Jefferson will likely start on the outside opposite Elic Ayomanor against a Patriots secondary that's allowing 146 receiving yards per game to wide receivers.
Oct 16, 2025
Stays limited Thursday
Jefferson (ankle) remained limited in practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Just like Wednesday, Jefferson practiced in limited fashion while Calvin Ridley (hamstring) didn't participate in practice. With Ridley trending toward sitting out Sunday against the Patriots, Jefferson has a nice opportunity to take on a larger role, assuming the latter can play through his own injury concerns. Jefferson compiled four catches for 75 yards after Ridley exited Tennessee's Week 6 loss to the Raiders. Prior to that game, Jefferson had 24 receiving yards all season.
Oct 15, 2025
Logs limited practice
Jefferson (ankle) was limited at practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
With Calvin Ridley not practicing Wednesday, Jefferson's status is of added import ahead of Sunday's game against the Patriots. Ridley was forced out of the Titans' Week 6 loss to the Raiders with a hamstring injury after logging just six snaps, which led to Jefferson recording a season-high 74 percent snaps share en route to catching four of his six targets for 75 yards.
Oct 13, 2025
Season-best numbers in loss
Jefferson secured four of six targets for 75 yards during Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson recorded more offensive yardage in his Week 6 breakout than during the prior five games of the year combined, playing a season-high 75 percent of offensive snaps. His increased involvement came as the result of Calvin Ridley (hamstring) being forced off the field due to injury early in the first quarter. If Ridley is limited or unable to play Week 7 versus the Patriots then Jefferson, rookie fourth-rounder wideout Elic Ayomanor and will tight end Chig Okonkwo will be stand to benefit from sharp upticks in target share.
Oct 12, 2025
Set to play Sunday
Jefferson (ankle) is active for Sunday's Week 6 matchup against Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson managed an ankle injury throughout the week and was deemed questionable on Friday's final injury report. However, the veteran wideout has progressed enough to suit up Sunday. Jefferson has played a minor role in Tennessee's air attack his season, tallying four catches on four targets for 24 yards through five games.
Oct 10, 2025
Questionable to face LV
Jefferson (ankle) was a full participant in Friday's practice but is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson appeared to pick up an ankle injury during the Titans' Week 5 win over the Cardinals. He steadily upgraded his practice participation after sitting out of Wednesday's session, but his official status for Sunday's contest may not be known until the Titans announce their list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes prior to the 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. With Bryce Oliver (knee) already ruled out, the Titans could elevate Mason Kinsey, James Proche or undrafted rookie Xavier Restrepo from the practice squad to the active roster if Jefferson is unable to play.
Oct 9, 2025
Limited practice Thursday
Jefferson (ankle) practiced in limited fashion Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was unable to practice in any capacity Wednesday, so his activity Thursday was a step in the right direction. There should be a clearer picture of his potential availability for a Week 6 matchup against Las Vegas on Friday, depending on whether he can avoid an injury designation.
Oct 8, 2025
Dealing with ankle injury
Jefferson (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson played a season-low 12 offensive snaps (18 percent) in Tennessee's Week 6 win over Arizona, but that may have been caused by his ankle injury. He'll have two more chances to practice and clarify his status ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Raiders.
Oct 7, 2025
Decreased role in Week 5
Jefferson wasn't targeted in Sunday's 22-21 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was on the field for a season-low 12 offensive snaps (18 percent). He wasn't targeted for the second time this season and has yet to surpass 10 yards from scrimmage in any game.
Sep 30, 2025
One reception in Week 4
Jefferson recorded one catch on one target for six yards in Sunday's 26-0 loss to the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson played a season-high 41 percent of offensive snaps, though translated to just one target. He has one or fewer targets in three of four games this season and is not on the fantasy radar.
Sep 8, 2025
Limited to seven snaps
Jefferson was not targeted in Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson's usage in the preseason suggested he would have a role in the Titans' offense to begin the season. Instead, he was on the field for only seven offensive snaps, fifth-most among the team's wide receiver corps. Jefferson looks unlikely to contribute much offensively, barring injury.
Aug 23, 2025
Big catch against Minnesota
Jefferson recorded three receptions on three targets for 102 yards and one touchdown in Friday's 23-13 preseason win over the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson started as an outside receiver with Calvin Ridley being rested. Jefferson showed rapport with Cameron Ward on the team's second possession, catching a 17-yard out on the left sideline. He then scored from 65 yards away after catching a short pass from Brandon Allen by making a defender miss before racing down the sideline. Jefferson looks to be a starter heading into Tennessee's Week 1 matchup against Denver, but he'll likely rotate some snaps with rookie Elic Ayomanor.
Aug 10, 2025
Targeted once in Titans debut
Jefferson did not catch his only target during Saturday's 29-7 preseason loss to the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
More important than his stat line, Jefferson played with the starting unit. He received his lone target on the opening drive and played 13 offensive snaps, comparable to Calvin Ridley's 11 and Tyler Lockett's 10. Jefferson was listed as a starter on Tennessee's initial depth chart, and his usage supported that.
Aug 6, 2025
Listed as starter
Jefferson is listed as a starting receiver on Tennessee's first unofficial depth chart, Jim Wyatt reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson joined the Titans on a one-year deal this offseason, though his role became uncertain after the team also added Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike in the draft. Jefferson remains ahead of each on the depth chart for the time being, though either of the rookies could ultimately earn more playing time with strong performances this preseason.
Mar 12, 2025
Signing one-year contract
Jefferson and the Titans reached agreement Wednesday on a one-year, $2.5 million contract, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The modest salary suggests Jefferson will need to compete for a depth job and may not even be assured of a roster spot. He'll be on his fourth team since the start of 2023, having never come close to matching the 50-802-6 receiving line he produced for the Rams in 2021, his second season in the league. He's finished south of 400 yards in each subsequent campaign and isn't likely to experience a major revival in his age-29 season ahead.
Jan 15, 2025
Shows slight improvement in 2024
Jefferson secured 24 of 40 targets for 276 yards and two touchdowns over 17 regular-season appearances in 2024.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson split time between the Rams and Falcons last year and failed to reach the end zone with either club. Although he wasn't very consistent during his first season in Pittsburgh, he found the end zone on two occasions during the regular season and also scored a touchdown during the team's wild-card loss to Baltimore. The 28-year-old will be an unrestricted free agent during the offseason and will likely have limited fantasy upside heading into 2025, regardless of where he signs.
Jan 5, 2025
Tallies three catches in defeat
Jefferson secured three of four targets for 18 yards during Saturday's 19-17 loss to the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Although the Steelers' passing game largely struggled in Saturday's regular-season finale, Jefferson had multiple receptions for the second time over the last six weeks. The 28-year-old was inconsistent throughout the regular season, including against the Ravens, who the Steelers will face in next weekend's wild-card round. He failed to secure his lone target in the Week 11 meeting between the two teams but secured two of three targets for 27 yards against Baltimore in Week 16.
Dec 26, 2024
No catches in Week 17
Jefferson failed to secure his lone target during Wednesday's 29-10 loss to Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson has been inconsistent over the past few weeks, and he was held without any receiving yards for the second time in the last three games Wednesday. Now that George Pickens (hamstring) is back on the field, it seems unlikely that Jefferson will have a significant role in next week's regular-season finale against Cincinnati.
Dec 22, 2024
Limited work in defeat
Jefferson secured two of three targets for 27 yards during Saturday's 34-17 loss to the Ravens.'
ANALYSIS
Even though the Steelers were without George Pickens (hamstring) for a third consecutive game Saturday, Jefferson was unable to make a significant impact. Head coach Mike Tomlin said Sunday that Pickens has a "real chance" to return to action against Kansas City on Wednesday, so Jefferson seems unlikely to have a sizable role in Week 17.
Dec 18, 2024
Non-factor against Philadelphia
Jefferson caught one of his two targets for zero yards in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson finished the game tied for the most snaps at wide receiver (35) with Calvin Austin, handling an 81 percent snap share in the contest. With fellow wideout George Pickens (hamstring) sidelined for the past two contests, the 28-year-old Jefferson has seen an increase in his playing time, but saw just three total targets from quarterback Russell Wilson in that span. Unfortunately, the veteran was unable to get anything going against a stingy Philadelphia secondary. Jefferson will look to bounce back in a Week 16 matchup against the Ravens, however his already limited usage could take a hit if Pickens is able to return.
Dec 9, 2024
Finds end zone in win
Jefferson secured his lone target for a 10-yard touchdown during Sunday's 27-14 win over Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson's yardage total dropped in Week 14 after he racked up 82 receiving yards across the last two games, but he reached the end zone for the first time since Week 7, as he opened the second-half scoring with a 10-yard touchdown reception midway through the third quarter. While Jefferson has had somewhat decent production over the last three weeks, he's had a limited target share, securing just four of six targets during that time, so he remains a shaky fantasy option.
Dec 2, 2024
Records 43-yard reception in win
Jefferson secured one of three targets for 43 yards during Sunday's 44-38 win over the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was on the field for 62 percent of Pittsburgh's offensive snaps Sunday, the second-highest mark among the team's wide receivers. While he didn't have many targets against Cincinnati, Jefferson put the Steelers in the red zone with just over six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, which marked the team's longest play of the day. The 2020 second-rounder has secured three of five targets for 82 yards over the last two games, but it seems unlikely that he'll be a reliable fantasy option late in the season since his target share remains low.
Nov 22, 2024
Finishes game with 39 yards
Jefferson secured both of his targets for 39 yards during Thursday's 24-19 loss to the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson aggravated a quad injury in the first half of Thursday's primetime matchup but returned after halftime. He recorded a 35-yard reception in the third quarter and finished the game with his second-highest yardage total of the season. However, the 2020 second-rounder had been held without a catch in each of his previous two games, highlighting his inconsistency during the 2024 campaign.
Nov 21, 2024
Returns in second half
Jefferson (quadriceps) returned to Thursday's game against the Browns, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was forced out of the game after taking a hit to his quad and aggravating an injury that plagued him heading into Week 11. He returned in the second half to record a long 35-yard reception midway through the third quarter.
Nov 21, 2024
Aggravates quad injury
Jefferson is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Browns due to a quad injury, Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson dealt with the same issue prior to Week 11 but was ultimately able to suit up. He took a hit late in the first quarter of Thursday's game that seemed to aggravate the issue, and it's now unclear if he'll retake the field.
Nov 18, 2024
Fails to secure lone target
Jefferson was unable to secure his lone target during Sunday's 18-16 win over Baltimore.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson dealt with a quadriceps injury ahead of Sunday's Week 11 tilt, but he played through the issue against Baltimore. However, he was held without any yards from scrimmage for a second consecutive game. While the 2020 second-rounder has consistently seen the second-most offensive snaps of any Steelers receiver this season behind only George Pickens, Jefferson hasn't been a reliable fantasy contributor and could see his role decrease even more as Mike Williams adjusts to his new team.
Nov 15, 2024
Cleared to play Sunday
Jefferson (quadriceps) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Ravens, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
After missing practice Wednesday, Jefferson was limited Thursday and upgraded to full Friday. The veteran wideout hasn't been a fantasy factor all season and could start losing playing time to trade acquisition Mike Williams as soon as this week.
Nov 14, 2024
Returns to limited practice
Jefferson (quadricep) was limited at practice Thursday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson missed Wednesday's session, so his upgrade to limited participation a day later bodes well for his chances of being available Sunday against the Ravens. Through nine games this season, Jefferson has logged a 14/139/1 receiving line on 23 targets, a pace that limits the wideout's fantasy utility to deeper formats.
Nov 13, 2024
Doesn't practice Wednesday
Jefferson (quadriceps) didn't practice Wednesday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It's a new injury for Jefferson and one that bears monitoring ahead of Sunday's AFC North clash with the Ravens. Baltimore's pass defense has been a sieve all season, and if Jefferson is unable to play, it could open up more playing time for Mike Williams in his second game with the Steelers after he hauled in a game-winning 32-yard touchdown on his only target in his Pittsburgh debut last Sunday. Williams played just nine offensive snaps last week against Washington but may be primed for a bigger role after a full week with the team.
Nov 11, 2024
No catches in narrow win
Jefferson failed to secure either of his two targets in Sunday's 28-27 win over Washington.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson had a season-best game in the Steelers' final game before the Week 9 bye, securing four of five targets for 62 yards. Although he was on the field for 71 percent of the team's offensive snaps against the Commanders, the 2020 second-rounder was held without a catch for the third time this season. Despite Jefferson's performance ahead of the bye week, he hasn't been a consistent fantasy option this year.
Oct 29, 2024
Racks up four catches in Week 8
Jefferson secured four of five targets for 62 yards during Monday's 26-18 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson has been inconsistent for most of the 2024 season, but he racked up a season-high 62 receiving yards during Monday's primetime win a week after reaching the end zone for the first time this year. The 2020 second-rounder has had more success with Russell Wilson than he had with Justin Fields, and Jefferson has seen ample playing time throughout the season, including playing 80 percent of the team's offensive snaps Monday. Over the first half of the season, Jefferson has secured 14 of 21 targets for 139 yards and a touchdown.
Oct 21, 2024
Reaches end zone in win
Jefferson secured two of three targets for 15 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 37-15 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson wasn't targeted in last week's win over the Raiders, but he saw more work in Week 7 with Russell Wilson under center and reached the end zone for the first time this season. Jefferson has had multiple receptions in four of his first seven appearances of the season, but he's totaled just 77 receiving yards and a touchdown while securing 10 of 16 targets.
Oct 16, 2024
Not targeted against Raiders
Jefferson failed to record a single target in Sunday's 32-13 win over the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was held without a target for the second time in 2024, despite playing 64 percent of the Steelers' offensive snaps Sunday. It's possible that a change at quarterback could benefit Jefferson with Russell Wilson preparing to start in Week 7. Nonetheless, the veteran wideout will be difficult to trust heading into a Week 7 matchup against the Jets.
Oct 7, 2024
Tallies three catches in loss
Jefferson secured three of his five targets for 26 yards during Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson led the Steelers' receivers in playing time during Sunday's matchup and recorded season-high marks in targets, receptions and receiving yards, but he still had a limited fantasy impact. Jefferson has been on the field for plenty of snaps early in the regular season, but he hasn't had a substantial target share.
Sep 30, 2024
Racks up 21 yards in loss
Jefferson secured two of three targets for 21 yards during Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson didn't see much playing time in last week's win over the Chargers due to an eye injury, but he was on the field for 86 percent of the Steelers' offensive snaps Sunday, tied with George Pickens for the most among the team's receivers. However, Jefferson hasn't seen a significant target share, as he hasn't been targeted more than three times in any of the team's first four games. While Jefferson's playing time has been encouraging, he hasn't yet established himself as a fantasy-relevant option in the Steelers' lackluster offensive attack.
Sep 25, 2024
Healthy heading into Week 4
Jefferson (eye) isn't listed on Wednesday's injury report, Dale Lolley of the Steelers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson exited Sunday's 20-10 win over the Chargers due to an eye injury, but he has recovered and practiced without limitations Wednesday. Jefferson will look to build on his season stat line of three catches for 15 yards on five targets when the Steelers travel to Indianapolis on Sunday.
Sep 22, 2024
Exits Sunday's game
Jefferson exited Sunday's game against the Chargers due to an eye injury, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to that, Jefferson hadn't been targeted in the contest. In his absence, George Pickens, Calvin Austin and Scotty Miller are available to handle the Steelers' WR duties, while the versatile Cordarrelle Patterson can also chip in on that front.
Sep 16, 2024
Logs two catches in victory
Jefferson secured two of his three targets for 14 yards during Sunday's 13-6 win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson saw plenty of playing time for a second consecutive week, as he was on the field for 82 percent of Pittsburgh's offensive snaps, which led the team's wide receivers. The 2020 second-rounder was called offensive pass interference in the closing seconds of the first half that nullified a touchdown, but he recorded a catch on the next play and nearly took the ball to the end zone. Jefferson has secured just three of five targets for 15 yards over the first two weeks of the regular season as part of the team's lackluster passing attack, but his early-season snap counts have been encouraging.
Sep 9, 2024
Limited to one catch in win
Jefferson secured one of two targets for one yard during Sunday's 18-10 win over Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was on the field for 72 percent of the Steelers' offensive snaps Sunday, which ranked first among the team's wide receivers, but he didn't draw many targets from interim starting quarterback Justin Fields as the passing game struggled to get going. Jefferson appeared in 17 games between the Rams and Falcons last year, securing 20 of 43 targets for 209 yards while rushing once for four yards. He appears to be in line to serve as the Steelers' No. 2 option at wide receiver early in 2024, but the team's passing attack may not be proficient enough to make him a reliable fantasy option.
Aug 5, 2024
Remains favorite for No. 2 WR spot
Jefferson has taken most of the first-team reps in two-wide formations during training camp, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was billed as the favorite for the No. 2 WR job heading into camp, albeit with competition for roles appearing wide open beyond runaway No. 1 receiver George Pickens. Rookie third-round pick Roman Wilson is considered week-to-week after injuring his ankle July 30, and third-year pro Calvin Austin seems like a better for for the No. 3 role given that he's one of the smallest players in the league (listed at 5-foot-9, 162 pounds). Jefferson thus has a nice opportunity to earn a starting job, although that might entail a lot more blocking than catching passes under new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith. Jefferson's 345 snaps under Smith in Atlanta last season yielded only 28 targets and a 12-101-0 receiving line.
Jul 12, 2024
Early favorite for WR2 job
Jefferson has "pole position" to be Pittsburgh's No. 2 wide receiver, according to Mark Kaboly of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
The Steelers signed four wide receivers with NFL starting experience between January and May, also bringing in Quez Watkins, Scotty Miller and Marquez Callaway. They've each had exactly one season with 500-plus receiving yards, either in 2020 or 2021. Jefferson's so-called pole position prior to training camp may not mean much, as he'll face competition not only from the aforementioned veterans but also 2024 third-round pick Roman Wilson and 2023 third-rounder Calvin Austin. It looks like a wide-open competition for snaps/roles behind runaway No. 1 receiver George Pickens.
Mar 15, 2024
Moves on to Pittsburgh
The Steelers and Jefferson agreed to a one-year contract Friday, Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson has a 50-802-6 line on 89 targets in 17 regular-season games from 2021 with the Rams on his resume, but the 2020 second-round pick otherwise has put together 63 catches, 798 yards and four touchdowns in his other three campaigns between L.A. and Atlanta. With his new squad, he'll be a part of a Pittsburgh receiving corps that lost Diontae Johnson via a trade with Carolina, meaning Jefferson currently slots in as the Steelers' No. 2 WR behind George Pickens. Ultimately, Jefferson's place in the pecking order for passes from quarterback Russell Wilson will depend on other additions made this offseason.
Jan 17, 2024
Fails to make impression
Jefferson caught 12 of 28 passes for 101 yards across 12 appearances for the Falcons in 2023. He caught eight of 15 targets for 108 yards in five appearances with the Rams.
ANALYSIS
After Puka Nacua took the league by storm and Cooper Kupp returned to full strength, the Rams shipped Jefferson to the wideout-needy Falcons in mid-October. Poor quarterback play, coupled with competition from KhaDarel Hodge, Scott Miller and Mack Hollins, caused Jefferson to post less production in more time with Atlanta than he did with Los Angeles. Jefferson is an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and given his lack of production, it'd be surprising if the Falcons had an interest in retaining him. Arthur Smith was fired immediately after the Week 18 blowout loss to New Orleans, and his replacement has yet to be hired, so Jefferson's future isn't the only question mark for Atlanta this offseason.
Jan 2, 2024
Catches three passes in blowout
Jefferson caught three of five targets for 19 yards during Sunday's 37-17 loss to the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Among Atlanta's wideouts, Jefferson finished with the second-most snaps, targets, receptions and receiving yards behind Drake London, who secured four receptions (10 targets) for 56 yards. The three receptions tied Jefferson's highest mark since being traded to the Falcons, but it still wasn't a fantasy-relevant performance as Atlanta's passing attack struggled, with starting quarterback Taylor Heinicke completing just 10 of 29 passes with three interceptions before being benched. Jefferson had eight receptions (15 targets) for 108 yards in five games with the Rams, but he has compiled just 10 catches (25 targets) for 88 yards in 11 games with the Falcons.
Dec 25, 2023
Non-factor in win
Jefferson caught one of three targets for 13 yards during Sunday's 29-10 win over the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson saw his most targets since Week 9 but recorded just one catch. Across 10 games with the Falcons, Jefferson has caught seven of 20 targets for 69 yards. In five appearances with the Rams to start the campaign, Jefferson secured eight of 15 targets for 108 yards.
Dec 5, 2023
No targets in win
Jefferson didn't record a target during Sunday's 13-8 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Despite playing his most offensive snaps since Week 9, Jefferson failed to record a target for the second time this season and the first time as a Falcon. Over his last four appearances, Jefferson has hauled in just two of seven targets for 27 yards. Atlanta's passing attack struggles to keep Drake London and Kyle Pitts relevant in fantasy, so Jefferson's value remains limited, at best.
Nov 28, 2023
Catches one pass in win
Jefferson caught one of two passes for 13 yards during Sunday's 24-15 win over the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was one of six Falcons to catch a pass, but only Drake London (seven) and Bijan Robinson (six) saw more than two targets as Desmond Ridder attempted just 21 passes. In six games with Atlanta, Jefferson has caught six of 16 targets for 56 yards. He's carved out a depth role with his new squad, but given the Falcons' passing struggles, Jefferson doesn't need to be rostered in standard leagues.
Nov 14, 2023
Held without a catch
Jefferson failed to secure his only target during Sunday's 25-23 loss to Arizona.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson played 26 offensive snaps, the third most behind Drake London (55) and KhaDarel Hodge (28). However, Atlanta's passing attack was abysmal, as Taylor Heinicke (hamstring) and Desmond Ridder combined to throw for less than 100 yards during the loss.
Nov 6, 2023
Struggles to make positive impact
Jefferson caught one of four targets for 14 yards during Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
With Drake London (groin) sidelined and Mack Hollins (ankle) leaving the contest early, Jefferson played the second most offensive snaps (45) among Atlanta's wideouts. However, the newcomer failed to make a positive impression on his new team for a fourth straight week. Jefferson was consistently involved in the passing attack but secured just one reception. He also committed a penalty that wiped out a fourth-down conversion and got called for a personal foul after the Falcons' go-ahead touchdown that gave the Vikings good field position on their final drive. Between drops and penalties in recent weeks, Jefferson isn't trending in the right direction, but he'll likely keep getting opportunities if London and Hollins remain out moving forward.
Oct 30, 2023
Plays 47 offensive snaps
Jefferson caught three of five targets for 24 yards during Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Drake London (groin) leaving in the third quarter allowed Jefferson to handle his most usage since joining the Falcons. It also appears Jefferson is eating away at Mack Hollins' playing time, as the latter played a season-low 14 offensive snaps. If London is sidelined moving forward, Jefferson could emerge as Atlanta's top wide receiver, but expectations should be tempered, given pass catchers like London and Kyle Pitts have struggled to be consistent fantasy producers in this offense.

One catch in win
Jefferson secured one of his two targets for five yards in Sunday's 16-13 win over the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson recorded his first catch as a member of the Falcons on Sunday while earning two targets for the second straight week. The veteran saw a major uptick in playing time in his second game with Atlanta, playing 49 percent of offensive snaps after playing just 27 percent of snaps in Week 6. If Jefferson continues to operate as the Falcons' second option at wideout behind Drake London, he could earn more opportunities in the team's passing attack. The 27-year-old will look to continue his increased involvement on offense when the Falcons visit the Titans in Week 8.

Fails to make impression
Jefferson didn't catch a pass on two targets during Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
The Falcons acquired Jefferson via trade with the Rams on Tuesday, and the 2020 second-round pick was thrown right into the fire Sunday. It's encouraging that he drew two targets after being with the team for only a few days, but it's unclear what his role will be moving forward. Drake London is the clear No. 1 wideout in Atlanta, but behind him, a plethora of guys are competing for snaps. In Week 6, KhaDarel Hodge (29), Mack Hollins (28), Scotty Miller (28) and Jefferson (22) all had similar snap counts.
Oct 15, 2023
Set to make ATL debut
Jefferson is active for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The Falcons acquired Jefferson in a trade with the Rams on Tuesday, but it appears he's grasped the playbook quickly and will make his team debut Sunday. However, fantasy managers should expect the 2020 second-round pick to play a limited role during his first game with Atlanta. Across five games with Los Angeles this season, Jefferson caught eight of 15 targets for 108 yards.
Oct 13, 2023
Decision on status coming Saturday
Head coach Arthur Smith said Atlanta will make a decision Saturday on Jefferson's status for Sunday's game against Washington, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was acquired Tuesday in a trade from the Rams. The wide receiver is healthy, but it remains to be seen if he has mastered enough of the playbook to make his Atlanta debut Sunday against the Commanders. If he plays, Jefferson's likely to have a limited role to begin his tenure with the Falcons.

Gets move to ATL
The Rams traded Jefferson and a 2025 seventh-round pick to the Falcons for a 2025 sixth-rounder Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson earned at least an 83 percent share of snaps in the Rams' first four games of the season with Cooper Kupp (hamstring) on injured reserve. Upon Kupp's return to the lineup Week 5 against the Eagles, though, Jefferson logged just two plays. Earlier Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reported L.A. was looking to move Jefferson, which has come to pass. Jefferson joins a WR-needy team in Atlanta, so he may be able to make an impact in short order along with Drake London, Mack Hollins, KhaDarel Hodge and Scotty Miller.
Oct 9, 2023
Plays just two snaps
Jefferson wasn't targeted during Sunday's 23-14 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson's zero-catch day was his first since Week 9 in 2022, and his two snaps on offense were less than Ben Skowronek and just one more than Austin Trammell. The return of Cooper Kupp gives the Rams a preferred trio of Kupp, Puca Nacua and Tutu Atwell as their starters, and they were on the field for nearly every snap on the day. Without a change of scenery or an injury to one of the aforementioned receivers, Jefferson will likely continue to see scant usage on offense.
Oct 2, 2023
Another quiet performance
Jefferson hauled in two of three targets for 29 yards during Sunday's 29-26 overtime win against the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Despite being on the field for over 85% of snaps on offense in every game this season, a pedestrian 8-108-0 stat line through that period shows just how far Jefferson's stock has fallen, a somewhat shocking development given Jefferson opened the year on top of the Rams' depth chart at wide receiver. Cooper Kupp (hamstring) is returning to practice this week as well and his return would likely push Jefferson down to a relief role behind Kupp, rookie phenom Puka Nacua and speedster Tutu Atwell.
Sep 26, 2023
Hauls in one big catch
Jefferson caught one of three targets for 46 yards and rushed once for 4 yards during Monday's 19-16 loss to the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson's single reception was a spectacular catch past former Rams safety Nick Scott, but Jefferson was also the target on one of Matthew Stafford's two interceptions on the day. It was a season low in targets for the veteran wideout, and his usage has trended downward each week of the 2023 campaign as Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell continue to dominate the target share heading into a Week 4 showdown with the Colts.
Sep 18, 2023
Forgettable day with one catch
Jefferson secured one of four targets for nine yards during Sunday's 30-23 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
The emergence of the sensational duo of Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell has relegated Jefferson to a tertiary role in the passing game, with Tyler Higbee and Kyren Williams also recording more targets than the veteran during Sunday's contest. Jefferson was the target of one of Matthew Stafford's interceptions and had a drive-killing drop on third down, and his stock is trending down heading into a Week 3 showdown with the Bengals.
Sep 11, 2023
Just 24 yards in victory
Jefferson secured four of five targets for 24 yards during Sunday's 30-13 win versus the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
While Jefferson led all Rams' receivers in terms of snap counts, the additional work didn't contribute to anything more than a middling day from a fantasy perspective. Meanwhile, rookie Puka Nacua (10-119-0 on 15 targets) and Tutu Atwell (6-119-0 on eight targets) had monster days. Nacua in particular seems to have stepped into the Cooper Kupp (hamstring) role in the offense, and Atwell showed multiple dimensions to his game outside of his usual role as a field-stretcher. A Week 2 showdown with an imposing San Francisco defense already dimmed the veteran's fantasy prospects, but the emergence of Nacua and Atwell as capable targets for Matthew Stafford will make it difficult to trust Jefferson in fantasy lineups.
Sep 6, 2023
Steps in to No. 1 receiver role
Jefferson will act as the Rams' No. 1 receiver for the season opener against the Seahawks after Cooper Kupp (hamstring) was ruled out, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Atlantic reports.
ANALYSIS
The timetable on Kupp's return from his latest setback with his injured hamstring could potentially extend into a four-week stint on IR, which would likely keep Jefferson at the top of the depth chart for almost a quarter of the regular season. In Kupp's absence in 2022 Jefferson put up a pedestrian 21-342-2 line over an eight-game stretch, albeit without Matthew Stafford at quarterback for nearly the entire period, making it a tricky proposition to rely on the veteran wideout against a capable Seahawks defense.

Should have larger role
Jefferson could earn a larger role in 2023, as he's been healthy this offseason and is now the second-most experienced WR on the Rams' roster, Stu Jackson of the team's official website reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson had knee surgeries last spring and again in August, delaying his 2022 debut until Week 8 and leading to limited playing time in his first few games. He then played 46 or more snaps in each of the Rams' final eight contests and averaged 2.6 catches for 42.8 yards and 0.25 TDs on 4.5 targets. The numbers weren't bad given that he mostly played with backup QBs rather than Matthew Stafford, and Jefferson hopes things will go better this year with both him and Stafford healthy after injuries kept them off the practice field last spring/summer. Jefferson enters the final year of his rookie contract as a clear favorite for the No. 2 receiver role behind Cooper Kupp, if only because there's a glaring lack of both talent and experience in the WR room otherwise.

Seven targets in season finale
Jefferson caught three of seven targets for 61 yards in Sunday's 19-16 overtime loss to Seattle.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson led the low-octane Rams passing game in receiving yards in the season finale. The expected return of Matthew Stafford (neck) should provide Jefferson with better quarterback play in 2023, but Jefferson will likely slide down the depth chart once Cooper Kupp (ankle) is healthy. A knee injury limited Jefferson to 11 games in 2022, and the third-year wideout caught 24 of 44 targets for 369 yards and three touchdowns.
Jan 1, 2023
Team-high receiving yardage tally
Jefferson secured all three targets for 77 yards in the Rams' 31-10 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson co-led the Rams in receptions and paced the team in receiving yards during a lackluster day for the air attack overall. The third-year pro's game-long 39-yard grab was the highlight of his performance, but he recorded his other two catches -- of 16 and 22 yards -- on Los Angeles' only touchdown drive. Jefferson will aim to build on eight-game multi-reception streak in the Week 18 finale on the road versus the Seahawks.
Dec 25, 2022
Sees five targets in blowout win
Jefferson had three receptions (five targets) for 19 yards in Sunday's 51-14 win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson failed to post notable numbers in a game where the Rams scored five offensive touchdowns. Perhaps the 26-year-old is best suited in a complementary role instead of being asked to be a team's top option. Jefferson will attempt to build some chemistry with quarterback Baker Mayfield when the Rams take on the Chargers on Sunday.
Dec 19, 2022
Pair of grabs in loss
Jefferson brought in both targets for 32 yards in the Rams' 24-12 loss to the Packers on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson led the Rams wideouts in receptions and receiving yards, but on a night when Los Angeles finished with 84 net passing yards, his modest totals were only less productive than those of running back Cam Akers. Jefferson had caught the game-winning touchdown from Baker Mayfield in the latter's Week 14 team debut against the Raiders, making the low-volume night Monday especially disappointing. Jefferson and the rest of the Rams' air attack has another stiff challenge on its hands in a Week 16 home matchup against the talented Broncos secondary on Christmas Day.
Dec 9, 2022
Snares game-winning grab Thursday
Jefferson secured two of four targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in the Rams' 17-16 win over the Raiders on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson caught Baker Mayfield's first and last passes of the quarterback's Rams debut, hauling in a 21-yard catch on the first play of the team's second possession and a 23-yard game-tying reception with 10 seconds left that set up Matt Gay's game-winning PAT. The third-year speedster hasn't yet been able to truly capitalize on the absences of Cooper Kupp (IR-ankle) and Allen Robinson (IR-foot) and played a clear second fiddle to both Ben Skowronek and Tutu Atwell, but perhaps the scoring connection will kickstart his chemistry with Mayfield and lead to a productive stretch run.
Dec 4, 2022
Quiet in Sunday's loss
Jefferson caught two of four targets for 39 yards in Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Nominally the Rams' No. 1 wideout in the absence of Cooper Kupp (ankle) and Allen Robinson (foot), Jefferson once again wasn't able to produce much volume. In the last four games, including the one in which Kupp was injured, Jefferson hasn't topped three receptions or 41 yards but he has scored two touchdowns. Despite his spot on the depth chart, he'll be a risky fantasy play in Week 14, even against the Raiders.
Nov 27, 2022
Gets into end zone Sunday
Jefferson caught three of seven targets for 29 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-10 loss to Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
There was little production to go around in the Rams offense with Bryce Perkins making his first career NFL start at quarterback in place of Matthew Stafford (neck), but Jefferson led the team in receiving yards and scored the team's only TD. Allen Robinson (foot) has been ruled out for the rest of the season and Cooper Kupp (IR) remains on IR, so Jefferson should be the No. 1 wideout for Los Angeles in Week 13 against the Seahawks, regardless of who is under center.
Nov 27, 2022
Should be No. 1 wideout for Week 12
Jefferson is expected to serve as the Rams' No. 1 wideout for Sunday's game against the Chiefs with Cooper Kupp (ankle) on injured reserve and with Allen Robinson (ankle) listed as questionable but not expected to play, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Additionally, starting tight end Tyler Higbee (knee) is listed as questionable, though it's unclear whether he's trending toward playing or sitting out Sunday's contest. Regardless, Jefferson looks like one of the more established receiving options for the Rams, though that doesn't necessarily mean he profiles as a reliable fantasy option this week. He'll likely be working with an unproven third-year quarterback in Bryce Perkins, who is expected to make his first NFL start while top signal-caller Matthew Stafford (neck/concussion protocol) sits for the second time in three games. Though the matchup with the high-octane Chiefs offense could yield more possessions than usual for the Rams offense, Perkins will be working behind one of the NFL's worst offensive lines and a lack of established skill-position talent, which could make it difficult for Los Angeles to keep pace. Jefferson, who has produced a modest 6-68-1 receiving line on 13 targets through four appearances this season, thus might be little more than
Nov 20, 2022
Three grabs in Week 11 loss
Jefferson brought in three of five targets for 41 yards in the Rams' 27-20 loss to the Saints on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was just behind co-leaders Allen Robinson and Tyler Higbee in receptions in the Rams' first game without Cooper Kupp (ankle). The speedy third-year wideout should continue to enjoy a progressively elevated role in coming weeks, but the fact Matthew Stafford was forced to re-enter concussion protocol Sunday casts doubt over the entirety of the air attack's potential for a Week 12 road battle against the Chiefs.
Nov 16, 2022
Needed in larger role
Jefferson's teammate Cooper Kupp (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, ruling him out for the next four games.
ANALYSIS
Passes to Kupp are about the only thing that's worked for the Rams offense this year, with the star receiver averaging 10.9 targets and 90.2 receiving yards per game. Jefferson didn't catch any passes his first two weeks back in the lineup after missing six games to rehab from minor knee surgery, but he then caught three passes for 27 yards and a touchdown in the Week 10 loss to Arizona, and he'll now have an opportunity to see more snaps alongside Allen Robinson and Ben Skowronek. Jefferson played only 17 snaps (28 percent) last week, which actually was a decrease from the previous two games (53 percent in Week 8, 35 percent in Week 9). If Jefferson struggles this Sunday at New Orleans, the Rams could also give Lance McCutcheon, Brandon Powell or Tutu Atwell a look.
Nov 14, 2022
Hauls in TD in loss
Jefferson caught all three of his targets for 27 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-17 loss to the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
After being held without a catch in his first two games of the season after recovering from knee surgery and coming off injured reserve, Jefferson finally made an impact. All three of his receptions came late in the fourth quarter after Cooper Kupp (ankle) has exited the game, but if Kupp is forced to miss a Week 11 clash with the Saints as well, Jefferson could find himself with a significant role in the offense whether Matthew Stafford (concussion) or John Wolford is under center.
Nov 7, 2022
Zero catches again
Jefferson failed to secure any of his five targets during Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was looking to break into the stat column for the first time in the 2022 campaign after going without a target in his season debut in Week 8. Instead, the 26-year-old had a forgettable performance capped off by an ugly drop in the first quarter for what would've been a 30+ yard gain. Jefferson was tied for second on the team with five targets despite only being on the field for 20 offensive snaps, a somewhat encouraging stat to take away from an otherwise abysmal fantasy day.
Nov 6, 2022
Active in Week 9
Jefferson (knee) is active for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
In the wake of his season debut last Sunday against the 49ers, Jefferson was limited in practice Wednesday through Friday due to a preexisting knee issue. Now that the Rams have confirmed his availability for Week 9, he's a candidate to eat into Ben Skowronek's role as the team's third wide receiver behind Cooper Kupp (ankle) and Allen Robinson, though Jefferson still is in search of his first target of the campaign.
Nov 4, 2022
Questionable, should play
Jefferson (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Tampa Bay, albeit with the expectation he'll play, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was a limited practice participant throughout the week after making his 2022 debut in the loss to San Francisco last Saturday. He shared the No. 3 receiver job with Ben Skowronek in that contest, finishing without a target in his first game back from a minor knee surgery. Jefferson could get more involved in the coming weeks but is only an option for the deepest of fantasy leagues until/unless he emerges as a regular starter with a near-every-down role.
Nov 3, 2022
Limited again Thursday
Jefferson (knee) was limited in Thursday's practice, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson made his season debut Week 8 against the 49ers, ultimately finishing fourth among Rams wide receivers in offensive snap share (53 percent) behind Cooper Kupp (95), Allen Robinson (93) and Ben Skowronek (62). While that trio combined for 20 targets, Jefferson wasn't looked at by quarterback Matthew Stafford. L.A. likely has placed a cap on his reps, both in practice and in games, until he's back to 100 percent, so it may be some time still before he's contributing to box scores on a weekly basis. In the end, though, Jefferson's status bears watching as the weekend approaches.
Nov 2, 2022
Logs limited practice Wednesday
Jefferson (knee) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to the session, coach Sean McVay told Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic that he'd be limited, and after the wide receiver was seen working on the side, he was listed as such to start Week 9 prep. The team likely is taking a cautious approach with Jefferson after he made his season debut this past Sunday against the 49ers, when he played 55 percent of the Rams' offensive snaps but wasn't targeted. He'll have two more chances this week to get back to full before L.A. potentially gives him a designation for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay.
Oct 31, 2022
Zero targets in return
Jefferson failed to garner at target in Sunday's 31-14 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Making his season debut following a knee injury, Jefferson failed to get any looks from quarterback Matthew Stafford in the contest. On the bright side, the wide receiver did play 31 offensive snaps, which accounted for 55 percent of the team total. Jefferson produced 12 catches of over 20 yards last season, including four for 40 plus, so he'll likely get involved in the deep ball in the near future. The 26-year-old will look to make a bigger impact when the Rams take on the Buccaneers and their banged up secondary in Week 9.
Oct 29, 2022
Activated as expected
Jefferson (knee) was activated off injured reserve Saturday and will play in the divisional Week 8 contest against the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Sean McVay said Jefferson would be activated off injured reserve and is expected to play upwards of 90 percent of the offensive snaps, so Saturday's designation comes as no surprise. Expect the 2020 second-round pick to push out Ben Skowronek from three wide-receiver sets if Jefferson does see his typical workload.
Oct 28, 2022
Deemed ready for full workload
Coach Sean McVay said Friday that Jefferson (knee) will play in Sunday's game against the 49ers and should be ready for a normal workload, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson topped 90 percent snap share on seven occasions last season, and while that type of workload is unlikely after he missed six games recovering from knee surgery, it can't entirely be ruled out given McVay's penchant for running his starters hard. A lesser role is more likely, especially after Ben Skowronek showed signs of progress before the Week 7 bye, averaging 49.3 total yards over a four-game stretch. Allen Robinson has less yardage than Skowronek despite seeing a few more snaps and routes so far, and it's possible the 29-year-old eventually loses playing time if he doesn't start to produce.
Oct 24, 2022
Designated to return from IR
The Rams designated Jefferson (knee) to return from injured reserve Monday.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Jefferson is on track to make his season debut in Week 8 after starting the season on IR due to a knee procedure he underwent during training camp. Rams head coach Sean McVay has previously indicated that he expects the third-year wideout to be able to contribute right away, but Jefferson's participation in practice this week should provide further clarity on the situation. With Allen Robinson struggling to find a connection with Matthew Stafford to start the year, it's possible Jefferson's rapport with Stafford could elevate him to the No. 2 wideout behind Cooper Kupp. Last season, Jefferson caught 50 of 89 targets for 802 yards and solidified himself as a deep threat, catching 12 passes of 20-plus yards and four over 40 yards.
Oct 17, 2022
Targets Week 8 return
Jefferson (knee) is expected back after the Rams' upcoming bye week, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
With that, Jefferson, who underwent a knee procedure during training camp, is a candidate to suit up for his first game of the season on Oct. 30, when the Rams face the 49ers. At that time, coach Sean McVay indicated that he expects Jefferson to be able to contribute right away, a context that makes the wideout a worthy add (by those who have the roster flexibility to do so) in leagues where he's still available.
Sep 24, 2022
Lands on IR
Jefferson (knee) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite insistence from head coach Sean McVay that Jefferson had not suffered a setback from what was reported to be minor offseason knee surgery, the third-year pass catcher is now set to miss at minimum the first two months of the regular season. Expect Ben Skowronek to once again see a sizable snap count behind the likes of Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson.
Sep 23, 2022
Out for a third straight game
Jefferson (knee) didn't practice Friday and won't play in Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The third-year pro still hasn't practiced since having minor knee surgery in early August, but his role as the No. 3 receiver appears fairly safe given the lack of production behind Cooper Kupp so far. Ben Skowronek, filling in as the No. 3, has managed only six catches for 41 yards on nine targets in two games, playing 88 and 86 percent of snaps on offense. Jefferson should be more of a threat if/when he moves past the knee surgery and reclaims his role. The lack of practice reps suggests that's unlikely to happen for Week 4 at San Francisco, though the Rams haven't officially ruled him out beyond Week 3.
Sep 22, 2022
Another DNP on Thursday
Jefferson (knee) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Jefferson has yet to mix into any drills this week, indicating he's poised to miss a third consecutive contest to kick off the season. Friday's injury report could confirm as much, but assuming Jefferson is sidelined Sunday at Arizona, Ben Skowronek again would be in line for an elevated snap count behind the Rams' top two wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson.
Sep 21, 2022
Not expected to practice
Coach Sean McVay said Wednesday that he doesn't expect Jefferson (knee) to practice this week, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson thus seems likely to miss a third straight game to open the season, giving Ben Skowronek another chance in the No. 3 receiver role Sunday against the Cardinals. Jefferson still hasn't practiced since undergoing minor knee surgery in early August.
Sep 16, 2022
Won't play against Falcons
Coach Sean McVay said Jefferson (knee) won't play Sunday against the Falcons, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson will miss a second consecutive game to begin the season, which should keep Ben Skowronek in an expanded role against Atlanta. McVay added that Jefferson's progressing in his recovery, but it's too early to tell whether the wide receiver will be ready to play in Week 3 against the Cardinals.
Sep 14, 2022
Officially DNP on Wednesday
Jefferson (knee) didn't practice Wednesday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson remains in recovery mode due to a pair of procedures performed on his left knee, one from after the Rams' win in the Super Bowl and another in early August. Both were termed "minor" surgeries, but he still hasn't been able to get back on the field. Coach Sean McVay told Barshop earlier Wednesday that the team is taking it "a week at a time" with Jefferson's rehab, so another DNP to begin the campaign could be in the cards Sunday against the Falcons. If Jefferson is inactive Week 2, Ben Skowronek and, to a lesser extent, Tutu Atwell will be the next two wide receivers behind top options Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson.
Sep 14, 2022
Taking it a week at a time
Coach Sean McVay said Wednesday that the Rams are taking it "a week at a time" with Jefferson's knee injury, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The comment is less than encouraging for Jefferson's Week 2 prospects, though it's already been reported that he'd likely miss the first two games of the season. Ben Skowronek filled in as the No. 3 receiver in a Week 1 loss to Buffalo, catching four of six targets for 25 yards while playing 88 percent of snaps on offense.
Sep 8, 2022
Could miss first two games
Jefferson (knee), who is listed as out for Thursday's season opener with the Bills, could also be in line to miss the Rams' Week 2 matchup with the Falcons, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Though Jefferson will benefit from a lengthier turnaround for Week 2 with the Rams not facing off against Atlanta until Sept. 18, the wideout may not be fully recovered by that time from the two offseason procedures he required on his left knee. Jefferson had his first procedure shortly after the Rams' Super Bowl win in February, only to require what he termed as another "minor" surgery in early August when he suffered an apparent aggravation of the knee early in training camp. The 26-year-old is said to be progressing, but he hasn't practiced in any capacity since having the second procedure and will likely need to get in at least one or two full workouts next week to have a realistic shot at suiting up against the Falcons. As for the Week 1 matchup, Ben Skowronek is expected to get the first crack at replacing Jefferson as the Rams' No. 3 wideout behind Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson.
Sep 7, 2022
Ruled out
Jefferson (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's season opener against Buffalo, Cameron DaSilva of RamsWire reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson had minor knee surgery in early August and wasn't able to practice at all this week. He hasn't been ruled out beyond the opener, and gets a long layoff before his next chance to play Sept. 18 against the Falcons. With Jefferson out, Ben Skowronek could play a lot of snaps as the Rams' No. 3 receiver, according to Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com.
Sep 6, 2022
Misses another practice
Jefferson (knee) wasn't spotted on the field for Tuesday's practice, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson will go down as a non-participant on the practice report for the second day in a row, giving him one final opportunity Wednesday to get on the field and potentially put himself in position to play in Thursday's season opener against the Bills. Earlier Tuesday, head coach Sean McVay told Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com that Jefferson is "day-to-day," but that description doesn't necessarily inspire much confidence that the wideout will be ready to play Thursday. If Jefferson requires more time to recover from his early August left knee scope and sits out the season opener, Tutu Atwell and/or Ben Skowronek could be in line to fill most of the vacated snaps alongside starting receivers Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson.
Sep 5, 2022
Doesn't practice Monday
Jefferson (knee) didn't participate in Monday's practice session, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Sean McVay said late last week that Jefferson was making good progress in his recovery, but he was unable to take the field during the Rams' first practice of the week ahead of Thursday's season opener against Buffalo. The 2020 second-rounder will likely need to practice in some capacity this week if he hopes to be available Thursday, while Ben Skowronek and Tutu Atwell will likely see additional looks behind Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson in the passing game if Jefferson is sidelined.
Sep 2, 2022
Making progress
Coach Sean McVay noted Friday that Jefferson is "making good progress" as he rebounds from a training camp knee procedure, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
McVay added that the Rams are "taking it a day at a time" with regard to Jefferson and his availability for the team's season opener, next Thursday against the Bills. Look for added clarity on that front to arrive early next week, once the the team is required to post an official practice/injury report. If Jefferson is sidelined or limited in Week 1, Ben Skowronek and Tutu Atwell are next up for added WR looks behind Los Angeles' top duo of Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson.
Sep 2, 2022
Not practicing Friday
Jefferson (knee) wasn't present for the portion of Friday's practice open to the media, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson tended to a knee issue during the Rams' Super Bowl run and eventually underwent what was termed a minor knee procedure during the offseason. At the start of training camp, he was deemed "100 percent healthy," according to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic, but Jefferson needed another surgery shortly thereafter and missed the entire preseason slate. It's worrisome that the third-year pro still isn't able to practice less than a week before the Rams' season opener Thursday against the Bills, but if Jefferson is sidelined to begin the campaign, Ben Skowronek and Tutu Atwell are the next wide receivers up behind the top duo of Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson.

Week 1 status TBD
When asked if he expects Jefferson (knee) to be available for Week 1 action, coach Sean McVay acknowledged Monday "that's up in the air right now," Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
On Monday, it was revealed that Jefferson has "a little knee tweak" and will undergo "minor surgery" on Tuesday to address the issue. Though McVay noted that Jefferson's initial timetable for a return is a few weeks, the Rams expect to have a better feel for exactly when the wideout might return after they "see how the surgery goes." As long as Jefferson is sidelined, Ben Skowronek and Tutu Atwell, among others, figure to see added opportunities to push for early-season reps behind top WR options Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson. Moreover, Odell Beckham remains on Los Angeles' radar, but it's unclear when the free agent will be fully recovered from the torn ACL that he suffered in Super Bowl LVI.

Slated to undergo knee procedure
Coach Sean McVay relayed Monday that Jefferson is slated to undergo minor knee surgery and is expected to be out for a few weeks, Eric D. Williams of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
While that's not an optimal development for the Rams' wideout corps, it does at this stage sound like Jefferson has a shot to be recovered before Week 1. When healthy, the 2020 second-rounder is projected to serve as the team's No. 3 WR option behind Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson. In his absence, the likes of Ben Skowronek, Jacob Harris, Brandon Powell and Tutu Atwell should have added opportunities to make cases for early-season opportunities.
Jul 31, 2022
Set to see specialist Monday
Jefferson will see a specialist Monday for a lingering knee issue and could potentially miss multiple weeks of training camp, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson underwent a minor knee procedure during the offseason but was expected to be fully healthy by the start of training camp. Per Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic, the Rams head coach Sean McVay declined to say whether the wideout's current situation was related to the knee procedure, but it's concerning either way. Second-year wideouts Ben Skowronek and Tutu Atwell figure to garner increased opportunities in three-wideout sets during training camp with Jefferson expected to be sidelined for at least a few weeks.
Jul 23, 2022
Healthy after offseason procedure
Jefferson is healthy for the start of training camp after undergoing a minor knee procedure early in the offseason, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The 2020 second-round pick, who will turn 26 on Tuesday, played through the knee injury down the stretch last year, though he still took the field for every regular season and playoff game. Jefferson finished his second year in the league with 50 receptions for 802 yards and six touchdowns, and he should enter camp as Los Angeles No. 3 wideout behind Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson.
Feb 13, 2022
Four grabs in Super Bowl win
Jefferson brought in four of eight targets for 23 yards during the Rams' 23-20 win over the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The speedster came into the game still somewhat nursing a knee injury he'd suffered in the NFC Championship Game, and perhaps that played a role in his limited production even after Odell Beckham left the game for good in the second quarter due to his own knee issue. Jefferson was also the target on Matthew Stafford's first interception late in the first half, a ball that the Bengals' Jessie Bates came down with in the end zone. However, Jefferson's reception total actually tied him for second on the Rams for the night, and it qualified as his highest since Week 17. Looking ahead to the 2022 season, Jefferson will be aiming to build on the significant step forward he took during a sophomore campaign that saw him contribute a 50-802-6 line across 17 games.
Feb 10, 2022
Logs full practice Thursday
Jefferson (knee) was listed as a full participant at Thursday's practice, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
This marks Jefferson's first uncapped session since aggravating a knee injury during the Rams' win in the NFC Championship Game against the 49ers on Jan. 30. Now that he's set for Sunday's Super Bowl LVI matchup with the Bengals, he'll settle in behind Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham as L.A.'s third wide receiver, which has amounted to a 25-394-3 line on 45 targets in 10 contests (including playoffs) with Beckham in the fold.
Feb 9, 2022
Listed as limited Wednesday
Jefferson (knee) was limited in Wednesday's walkthrough, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson so far has been listed as limited on three of the Rams' four injury reports for Super Bowl LVI (he sat out last Friday's session). A knee injury is to blame and also impacted his practice reps ahead of the NFC Championship Game on Jan. 30. How Jefferson fares in practice Thursday and Friday likely will have bearing on whether or not he has a designation for Sunday's game versus the Bengals.
Feb 4, 2022
No practice to close out week
Jefferson (knee) didn't practice Friday, Tyler Dragon of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
It might seem like a step back after he was limited Wednesday and Thursday, but the Rams were cautious at Friday's practice and held out seven players. Assuming he returns next week, Jefferson will enter the Super Bowl as the team's No. 3 receiver -- a role that hasn't yielded much since mid-December.
Feb 3, 2022
Limited again Thursday
Jefferson (knee) was limited at Thursday's walkthrough, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson tended to a knee injury before and during the Rams' win in the NFC Championship Game versus the 49ers this past Sunday. The result in that contest was two catches (on five targets) for nine yards, and he's kicked off this week with back-to-back limited listings on the practice report. With more than a week to go ahead of a Super Bowl matchup against the Bengals on Sunday, Feb. 13, Jefferson doesn't appear to be in too much danger of ceding his spot as L.A.'s third wide receiver.
Feb 2, 2022
Listed as limited Wednesday
Jefferson (knee) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to suiting up for the Rams' eventual victory in the NFC Championship Game against the Rams, Jefferson managed two limited practices due to a knee injury, with a decision on his availability coming down to the wire. The issue even forced him to miss some time during the aforementioned contest, but he returned and finished with two catches (on five targets) for nine yards. Fortunately for the second-year wide receiver, Jefferson will have two weeks to prepare for a Super Bowl matchup with the Bengals on Sunday, Feb. 13, and the fact he was listed as limited to begin prep for that game bodes well for his chances to be active.
Jan 31, 2022
Another lackluster showing
Jefferson caught two of five targets for nine yards during Sunday's 20-17 win over the 49ers in their NFC Championship Game.
ANALYSIS
The five targets were a playoff high for Jefferson, and he also missed time during the game with a knee injury. Additionally, with two weeks to heal up, the second-year wideout projects to be ready for the Super Bowl. He'll remain a risky fantasy option, though. Jefferson's been limited to just five receptions for 79 yards through three postseason games.
Jan 30, 2022
Returns to NFCCG
Jefferson (knee) returned to Sunday's game against the 49ers, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson missed some time due to the knee injury that had been bothering him in the lead-up to the game, but he returned to the field in the second half. The No. 3 wide receiver could see some additional looks with tight end Tyler Higbee having been ruled out due to a knee injury of his own.
Jan 30, 2022
Return questionable due to knee
Jefferson (knee) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against San Francisco.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was tending to a knee injury heading into the game, and it appears to have flared up, leaving the wide receiver questionable to return to the NFC Championship Game. Ben Skowronek will see playing time in three-receiver sets for the duration of Jefferson's absence.
Jan 30, 2022
Suiting up Sunday
Jefferson (knee) is listed as active for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the 49ers, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson tended to a knee injury in advance of this contest, being listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice estimate before logging limited showings Thursday and Friday. At the same time, his recovery involved alternative treatments with an eye toward being available Sunday, per Josina Anderson of CBS Sports. After testing out the issue during a pregame warmup, Jefferson will be available to the Rams offense, but he'll be donning a sleeve on his left leg as he works as the team's third wide receiver behind Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham.
Jan 30, 2022
Remains likely to play Sunday
Jefferson (knee), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the 49ers, is planning to play barring an unforeseen setback in his pregame workout, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
According to Anderson, Jefferson has received "alternative treatments" for the knee injury he apparently picked up in the divisional-round win over the Buccaneers, as he was a non-participant Wednesday in the Rams' first practice this week. He then turned in limited showings in practices Thursday and Friday before taking the designation into the weekend. Assuming Jefferson avoids the inactive list, he shouldn't be subject to a restricted snap count and will likely join Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham regularly in the Rams' three-receiver sets.
Jan 29, 2022
Trending up for Sunday
Jefferson (knee) is trending toward being active for Sunday's NFC Championship Game versus the 49ers, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
After a week in which he didn't participate in Wednesday's walkthrough and managed limited practices Thursday and Friday due to a knee injury, Jefferson officially is questionable to play Sunday. But the Rams are expecting the second-year wide receiver to handle his typical role, which has amounted to at least 70 percent of offensive snaps in six of nine appearances with Odell Beckham in the fold. Still, Jefferson has tallied just a 23-395-3 line on 40 targets during that stretch.
Jan 28, 2022
Questionable for Sunday
Jefferson (knee) will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official website reports.
ANALYSIS
The second-year wideout played 90 percent of offensive snaps in last week's win over Tampa, before missing practice Wednesday and managing limited participation Thursday. That seemingly puts Jefferson on track to play, but if not, Ben Skowronek likely would be tasked with the No. 3 receiver role. Jefferson has caught three of four targets for 70 yards in two playoff games, unable to pick up the pace after a quiet finish to the regular season.
Jan 27, 2022
Gets back on practice field
Jefferson (knee) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson is easing into the week of prep, following up Wednesday's absence with some activity Thursday. He'll look to do enough to gain clearance to play in the NFC Championship Game at the Rams, whether it's following the release of Friday's practice report or 90 minutes before Sunday's 6:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
Jan 26, 2022
No activity due to knee issue
Jefferson was estimated as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice report due to a knee injury, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The Rams merely held a walkthrough to kick off the week of prep, but Jefferson didn't join his teammates on the field. Prior to the session, coach Sean McVay didn't express concern about Jefferson's health, per Rodrigue. Nonetheless, Jefferson's status will be monitored to get a sense of his availability for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the 49ers.
Jan 24, 2022
Quiet against Bucs
Jefferson caught two of his three targets for 29 yards and also had a 15-yard rush during Sunday's 30-27 win over Tampa Bay.
ANALYSIS
Cooper Kupp, Odell Beckham and Tyler Higbee all received more targets than Jefferson again Sunday, and it's becoming more clear that the second-year wideout is likely to remain a secondary option in the passing attack. Jefferson's been limited to just 12 receptions for 193 yards through the past six games, and he's probably a risky start against the 49ers next week, albeit with modest upside.
Jan 19, 2022
Held to single reception in win
Jefferson caught his lone target for 41 yards during the 34-11 wild-card round victory over Arizona on Monday.
ANALYSIS
It took until late in the third quarter for quarterback Matthew Stafford to look Jefferson's way. Stafford only attempted 17 passes all game, and the Rams rushed 38 times after jumping out to a commanding lead early and building it to 28-0 early in the third quarter. As a result, it really wasn't a favorable game script for Jefferson's fantasy potential. It was also the continuation of a concerning trend, as second-year receiver has been limited to just 10 receptions for 164 yards through the past five games. Making matters worse, Odell Beckham has established himself as an integral part of the Los Angeles offense, which further limits Jefferson's appeal.
Jan 17, 2022
Suiting up for wild-card round
Jefferson (shoulder) is listed as active for Monday's wild-card game against the Cardinals, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was a question mark for the Rams' postseason opener after logging limited practices Friday and Saturday, the result of a shoulder injury. It won't impact his ability to suit up Monday, but he'll be third, at best, in the pecking order at wide receiver behind Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham. Jefferson's returns also were sporadic over the final five games of the campaign, when he hauled in 11 of 19 targets for 181 yards and one touchdown. On a positive note, though, he had three catches of 20-plus yards during that span, so a splash play may result in a productive outing.
Jan 15, 2022
Questionable for postseason opener
Jefferson (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Monday's wild-card game against the Cardinals, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson avoided the injury report for the entirety of his second pro campaign until the playoffs, when he was listed as limited both Friday and Saturday due to a shoulder injury. In a receiving corps that's been working without Robert Woods (knee) since Week 10, Jefferson's services are needed, even if he hasn't been on point for more than a month. In four appearances to close the regular season, Jefferson hauled in nine of 16 targets for 123 yards and no touchdowns while tallying a 10-yard carry. His status will be known approximately 90 minutes before Monday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.
Jan 14, 2022
Downgrades to limited practice
Jefferson was listed as a limited participant in Friday's practice with a shoulder injury, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson appeared on the Rams' initial weekly injury report Thursday with the same issue, though he was a full participant for the team's first practice session. The Rams haven't revealed whether Jefferson's limitations Friday was part of a pre-planned maintenance regimen or the result of a setback, but Saturday's injury report should shed light on the matter. If cleared to play in Monday's wild-card game against the Cardinals, Jefferson should maintain his usual role alongside Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham in three-receiver sets. Kupp remains the clear No. 1 target for Matthew Stafford by a landslide, while Jefferson appeared to have slipped behind Beckham in the pass-catching hierarchy over the final quarter of the regular season.
Jan 10, 2022
Cool stretch continues in loss
Jefferson caught two of his three targets for 31 yards during Sunday's 27-24 loss to San Francisco.
ANALYSIS
It was a disappointing final quarter of the campaign for Jefferson. He finished with just nine receptions for 123 yards over the final four games of the regular season, which limited him to a 50-802-6 line for the year. Still, there were definite signs from the sophomore, and Jefferson is clearly an important piece of the passing attack for Los Angeles. It also wouldn't be surprising if his numbers improved during the duration of the Rams' playoff run. He's probably still should be viewed as a risky fantasy target with just modest upside in this week's wild-card matchup against Arizona, though.
Jan 2, 2022
Catches four passes
Jefferson caught four passes for 63 yards on five targets against Baltimore on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson's five targets were somewhat disappointing on a day where Matthew Stafford threw 35 pass attempts, but the second-year wideout made up for it with strong efficiency, as he regularly does. While the structure of the Rams passing game and Cooper Kupp's dominance within it only leaves so much room for Jefferson's single-game upside, it's also true that the Rams passing game can only go so far without involving Jefferson. He should project reasonably well in any game that Stafford does. The Rams face the 49ers in Week 18.
Dec 29, 2021
Catches one pass in win
Jefferson caught one of six targets for 6 yards in Sunday's 30-23 win over the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson had his worst statistical game of the season, though his six targets were tied for the third most of any Rams pass catcher in the contest. The last two weeks were certainly a disappointment for the 25-year-old wideout, after scoring a touchdown in each of the previous three games. In the Rams' high-volume passing attack, there is a chance that Jefferson can get back on track against Baltimore's struggling secondary in Week 17.
Dec 22, 2021
Quiet in Week 15 win
Jefferson caught both his targets for 23 yards and added a 10-yard rush during Tuesday's 20-10 win over Seattle.
ANALYSIS
This was a disappointing showing for fantasy managers and it also snapped a three-game touchdown streak for Jefferson. Overall, it's been a respectable season for the sophomore. He's up to 43 receptions for 702 yards and six touchdowns, however, there have been a lot of weekly peaks and valleys along the way. While there's potential for Jefferson to take another step forward next season, the Rams do have a crowded receiving corps, which has also contributed to his inconsistency this year.
Dec 17, 2021
Rams-Seahawks moved to Tuesday
Jefferson and the Rams will no longer play the Seahawks on Sunday, after the NFL officially rescheduled the matchup between the two teams for Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET.
ANALYSIS
Due to ongoing COVID-19-related issues within the Rams organization, the NFL is hopeful that by delaying the game two days, Los Angeles will be able to restore enough players from the reserve/COVID-19 list to alleviate depth concerns on the roster. After Tuesday's game, the Rams will face a quick turnaround for Week 16 with a Sunday game in Minnesota on Dec. 26.
Dec 14, 2021
Long TD versus Cards
Jefferson caught two of three targets for 58 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 30-23 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson, whose father serves as Arizona's wide receivers coach, made his presence felt with a 52-yard touchdown on play action to begin the third quarter. That grab extended Jefferson's scoring streak to three straight games, matching that of teammate Odell Beckham, who along with Jefferson has helped fill the void left by Robert Woods (knee). While Beckham took another step within the offense behind star Cooper Kupp on Monday, finishing with six catches for 77 yards and a touchdown, the second-year Jefferson will nonetheless strive to keep his momentum going in Week 15 versus the Seahawks.
Dec 5, 2021
Works more underneath
Jefferson caught six passes for 41 yards and one touchdown on eight targets against Jacksonville on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
To begin the year Jefferson operated as the Rams' by-default deep threat while Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods worked more underneath, but in light of Woods' season-ending injury and the addition of the more big-play oriented Odell Beckham it makes sense for the Rams to give Jefferson the old Woods role while Beckham takes up more of the downfield responsibilities. If that continues going forward then it could allow Jefferson to draw targets and thus receptions more reliably than he did to begin the year, even if he's generally regarded as the WR3 behind Kupp and Beckham.
Nov 28, 2021
Tallies long touchdown
Jefferson recorded three receptions on nine targets for 93 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 36-28 loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson recorded a season high in targets, though he was inefficient for the majority of the game. The primary exception came early in the second quarter when he beat one-on-one coverage deep down the middle of the field for a 79-yard touchdown reception. Jefferson should continue to serve as a deep threat for the Rams heading into a Week 13 matchup against Jacksonville, as he now has at least one reception of 20 yards or more in five consecutive contests.
Nov 15, 2021
Drops touchdown in loss
Jefferson caught three of seven targets for 54 yards in Monday night's 31-10 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson was forced into a more important role with teammate Robert Woods (knee) going down late in the week, and although he produced Los Angeles' longest play of the night with a 33-yard gain, he also dropped a would-be touchdown in the second half. Overall, Jefferson's output wasn't anything out of the ordinary, and despite his potential to help fill the void left by Woods' season-ending injury, the Rams now entering their bye figures to give recent signing Odell Beckham ample time to increase his involvement in advance of Week 12's matchup versus the Packers. Once Beckham is fully acclimated, it'll be interesting to see whether he or Jefferson is targeted most among wideouts behind star Cooper Kupp.
Nov 13, 2021
Moves up depth chart with Woods out
Jefferson should take on a larger role in the Rams' offense moving forward, as Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that fellow wide receiver Robert Woods will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his ACL in practice Friday.
ANALYSIS
Cooper Kupp will still be the go-to guy for quarterback Matthews Stafford, but there's no clear second option in Los Angeles' passing game, with Jefferson, newcomer Odell Beckham and tight end Tyler Higbee set to vie for that spot following Woods' injury. Jefferson could be especially busy in the coming weeks while Beckham's still catching up on the Rams' playbook.
Nov 8, 2021
Another ho-hum showing
Jefferson caught three of seven targets for 41 yards during Sunday's 28-16 loss to the Titans.
ANALYSIS
The sophomore has now caught at least three passes in each of the past four games for a total of 13 receptions, 191 yards and a touchdown. Jefferson also played 75 of 78 offensive snaps Sunday. Still, he's not returning go-to numbers in the majority of fantasy formats, and it appears it will take an injury to either Cooper Kupp or Robert Woods for Jefferson to provide reliable results. As it stands, Jefferson's likely to continue being an inconsistent weekly contributor and a tough start in most settings.
Oct 31, 2021
Thrives despite injury
Jefferson briefly left Sunday's game against Houston due to a left knee issue but returned and finished with three receptions for 88 yards on six targets.
ANALYSIS
According to the Athletic reporter Jourdan Rodrigue, coach Sean McVay praised Jefferson after the game and quickly clarified that Jefferson's knee is fine. With DeSean Jackson potentially on the way out, Jefferson's workload could project for even more stability in the season's second half, though it remains to be seen if the Rams move Jackson before Tuesday's deadline. It might not matter either way for Jefferson -- Jackson was inactive against Houston, and he only played three snaps the week prior. Jefferson is likely locked in as the Rams' third wideout behind Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods, though Jefferson is unique among the trio for his downfield functions. As the Rams' designated big-play threat in the midst of a career year for quarterback Matthew Stafford, Jefferson is poised to keep providing value for his fantasy investors. The Rams face Tennessee in Week 9.
Oct 25, 2021
Finds end zone against Lions
Jefferson caught four of seven targets for 43 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 28-9 win over Detroit. He played a season-high 61 offensive snaps, too.
ANALYSIS
With the Lions leading to start the game, and then again in the third quarter, Los Angeles leaned of three-receiver sets more frequently. It resulted in Jefferson's highest snap share of the season, as he played 94 percent of the offensive snaps. Still, it was another big day for Cooper Kupp (10-156-2), and Robert Woods caught all six of his targets for 70 yards. Additionally, tight end Tyler Higbee garnered eight targets. So, while it was encouraging to see Jefferson's playing time jump and have him find the end zone Sunday, more week-to-week inconsistency is probably ahead.
Oct 18, 2021
Quiet outing against Giants
Jefferson caught three of his four targets for 18 yards during Sunday's 38-11 win over New York.
ANALYSIS
There haven't been enough targets left over for Jefferson after Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, Tyler Higbee and Darrell Henderson all receive their share, and It's unlikely Jefferson garners more looks in the immediate future, either. Additionally, deep-threat DeSean Jackson will continue in his role. It will probably take an injury to a fellow pass-catcher for Jefferson to see an uptick in target volume, and he projects to remain an inconsistent fantasy asset in the meantime.
Oct 8, 2021
Single catch in win
Jefferson caught one of four targets during Thursday's 26-7 win over Seattle. He played 39 of 67 offensive snaps.
ANALYSIS
It was a quiet night for the sophomore. The Rams made an effort to involve fellow wide receiver Robert Woods, as the veteran garnered 14 targets, and Cooper Kupp received another 10. There wasn't much left over for Jefferson. While there's no doubt Jefferson is firmly behind Woods and Kupp on the pecking order, Jefferson is firmly positioned as the No. 3 receiver on the depth chart and has played more snaps than DeSean Jackson in every game this season. Still, Jackson's ability to stretch the field as a deep threat also cuts into Jefferson's fantasy upside. All said, you should probably expect more peaks and valleys from the 25-year-old receiver moving forward.
Oct 3, 2021
Big day in loss to Cards
Jefferson caught all six of his targets for 90 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
The Arizona secondary did a good job containing Cooper Kupp, and as a result it was Jefferson who led the Rams in catches and receiving yards. The 90 yards were a season high for the second-year receiver while the TD was his second in four games, and Jefferson is emerging as a reliable secondary option for Matthew Stafford heading into a Week 5 clash with the Seahawks.
Sep 27, 2021
More involved against Bucs
Jefferson caught four of six targets for 46 yards during Sunday's 34-24 win over Tampa Bay.
ANALYSIS
The second-year wideout played 50 of 65 offensive snaps and is up to seven receptions for 136 yards and a touchdown through the first three weeks. Jefferson has been a fixture in the offense, but outside of his 67-yard touchdown catch in Week 1, he's failed to move the fantasy needle. Los Angeles quarterback Matthew Stafford has clicked with fellow wide receiver Cooper Kupp to the tune of 25 receptions, 367 yards and five touchdowns already, and with Robert Woods and DeSean Jackson also on the depth chart, there might not be enough targets left over for Jefferson to be a consistent weekly contributor.
Sep 22, 2021
Quiet in win
Jefferson secured one of three targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Colts.
ANALYSIS
After a solid fantasy performance in Week 1, Jefferson came crashing back down to earth with an uninspiring stat line. The 25-year-old wide receiver finished fourth in the pecking order of targets for the second week in a row, but his offensive snap percentage jumped from 69 percent to in Week 1 to 92 percent in Week 2. In what projects to be a high-powered offense going forward, Jefferson will likely have some strong performances for fantasy purposes if he continues to stay on the field. The problem is predicting when those breakout performances may happen. The wideout should remain off the fantasy radar outside of the deepest of leagues, especially in a tough matchup against the Buccaneers in Week 3.
Sep 13, 2021
Breaks off long score on SNF
Jefferson corralled two of three targets for 80 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-14 win over Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Matthew Stafford connected with Jefferson on a big 67-yard touchdown on the national stage. The 2020 second-round pick still finished fourth in the pecking order of targets, so fantasy managers shouldn't overreact to the gaudy final line. Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods remain atop the depth chart, so Jefferson is more of a boom-or-bust option heading into Week 2 when the Rams take on the Colts.
Sep 8, 2021
Healthy for regular season
Jefferson (arm) isn't listed on the Rams' injury report Wednesday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Sean McVay didn't unveil the first-team skill-position players this preseason, but Jefferson himself may have missed time anyway due to what was believed to be at the time a false positive test for COVID-19 and a right arm issue that caused him to wear a brace. Jefferson is healthy for the regular season and is set to serve as L.A.'s No. 3 wide receiver behind Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp. However, Jefferson may have to contend for reps with free-agent addition DeSean Jackson and 2021 second-round pick Tutu Atwell.
Aug 19, 2021
Practices Thursday
Though Jefferson is sporting a soft brace over his right arm, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic notes that the wideout is "good to go" for Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson is evidently past a recent COVID-19 situation that coach Sean McVay believed at the time was a false positive test result. Assuming the 2020 second-rounder's arm issue is a minor one, he'll have a chance to suit up for Saturday's preseason game against the Raiders. Jefferson is competing with veteran DeSean Jackson for the Rams' No. 3 wideout slot behind Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp.
Aug 10, 2021
Facing COVID issue
Coach Sean McVay said Tuesday that Jefferson is dealing with a COVID-19 situation the coach believes is a false-positive test, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It appears Jefferson tested positive for the virus, though there's been on confirmation that's the case. The 25-year-old figures to remain away from the team until the issue is settled, or until he clears the health and safety protocols if a positive result is confirmed.
Jul 2, 2021
More comfortable ahead of Year 2
Jefferson has established himself as a legitimate receiver who head coach Sean McVay is counting on entering the 2021 season, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The 57th overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, Jefferson wasn't a major factor in the Los Angeles offense as a rookie. He recorded just 19 receptions for 220 yards and a touchdown. However, with Josh Reynolds signing with the Titans during the offseason, there's an opportunity for Jefferson to climb the depth chart. His fantasy value is still a little murky, though. The Rams signed field-stretcher DeSean Jackson, and they also drafted speedster Tutu Atwell in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Still, Jefferson is definitely a receiver to keep tabs on and could be a sneaky fantasy contributor, especially in daily fantasy contests.
May 4, 2021
Role is probably secure
Jefferson should continue to see his role increased in the passing game next season, even with the selection of Tutu Atwell in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
While Los Angeles did make Atwell its first selection in the draft, he's probably not going to impact Jefferson's expected growth in his second season in the league. Atwell definitely could cut into Jefferson's snap and target share, but Jefferson flashed potential as a rookie and has the acumen to be a reliable receiver this season -- especially in a possession, move-the-chains role. At this stage of the offseason, there probably still aren't many fantasy settings he's a viable option in, though.

Finds end zone in playoff loss
Jefferson recorded six receptions on seven targets for 46 yards and a touchdown in the Rams' divisional-round loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson took advantage of the absence of Cooper Kupp, finishing second on the team in both targets and receptions. Though only one of his catches went for a gain of 10 or more yards, he did account for a touchdown with a four-yard reception late in the second quarter. Jefferson finished his rookie season with only 19 receptions for 220 yards and a touchdown across 16 regular season games, though his role could increase in 2021 if Josh Reynolds departs in free agency.

Opportunity knocks Saturday
With Cooper Kupp (knee) inactive, Jefferson is a candidate for added opportunities in Saturday's playoff game against the Packers, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
DaSilva also suggests that the Rams could two tight ends more often Saturday, but with Kupp out of the wide receiver mix, Jefferson figures to see added snaps/targets in the team's offense alongside Robert Woods and Josh Reynolds.

Only plays on special teams
Jefferson didn't play an offensive snap during Saturday's 30-20 win over Seattle.
ANALYSIS
After collecting a season-high 50 receiving yards in Week 17 against Arizona, the rookie watched from the sidelines with Cooper Kupp back in action after a stint on the reserve/COVID-19 list. It was just the second game all season that Jefferson didn't receive an offensive snap, so it's likely he's back in the fold next Saturday in the Divisional Round matchup against the Packers. However, fantasy managers probably shouldn't view the first-year receiver as anything more than a flier given his uncertain role in the Los Angeles passing attack.

Hits 50 receiving yards sans Kupp
Jefferson reeled in four of eight targets for 50 yards during Sunday's 18-7 win against the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Jefferson had totaled only four receptions for 27 yards over his preceding five appearances combined entering Week 17. Cooper Kupp's presence on the reserve/COVID-19 list opened up opportunities for the second-round rookie, however, as Jefferson established a new single-game high in receiving during the regular-season finale. Los Angeles' campaign will extend into next week by virtue of a wild-card berth, but Jefferson's potential fantasy value will hinge largely on Kupp's availability for a matchup against the Seahawks.

Potential starting role awaits
Jefferson is expected to see regular snaps in three-receiver sets Sunday against the Cardinals with Cooper Kupp (illness) ruled out for the contest, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kupp's move to the reserve/COVID-19 list following his positive test for the coronavirus opens up room for Jefferson to work alongside Robert Woods and Josh Reynolds. Though both wideouts have consistently seen more involvement than Jefferson in the passing game throughout the season, predicting the distribution of targets among the team's receivers will be more difficult than usual with the unproven John Wolford set to start at quarterback in place of Jared Goff, who has been ruled out for Week 17 after undergoing thumb surgery. Jefferson, who has produced 15 receptions for 170 yards and a touchdown in 15 games this season, may have the edge over Reynolds and Woods in terms of chemistry with Wolford based on their work together on the Rams' scout team, but the rookie wideout is still little more than a dart throw in DFS tournaments and deep season-long leagues active for Week 17.

Hardly plays in loss
Jefferson played 14 offensive snaps and failed to catch his only target during Sunday's 20-9 loss to Seattle.
ANALYSIS
The rookie's lone target was thrown behind him, as Jefferson's debut season continues to underwhelm. He should receive more opportunities in 2021 with No. 3 wide receiver Josh Reynolds currently in the final season of his rookie deal and a candidate to move on in the offseason. Week 17 doesn't look promising for Jefferson, either. Quarterback Jared Goff (thumb) underwent surgery Monday, and backup QB John Walford hasn't played a competitive game since the 2019 preseason.
Dec 21, 2020
Targeted once in loss
Jefferson played 14 offensive snaps and failed to catch his only target during Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Jets.
ANALYSIS
The rookie has now failed to collect a reception in three of the past four games. To make matters worse, with the Rams 17.5-point favorites at home, this should have set up for Jefferson to see an extended role -- especially considering veteran receiver Robert Woods missed Wednesday's practice and was limited Thursday with a thigh injury. Jefferson projects to remain a depth option over the final two weeks of the regular season with Los Angeles battling for the best playoff seeding possible.
Dec 11, 2020
Plays decoy in win
Jefferson didn't receive a target on 19 offensive snaps during Thursday's 24-3 win over New England.
ANALYSIS
Los Angeles piled up 186 rushing yards and were especially effective in 12 personnel against the Patriots on Thursday, so quarterback Jared Goff didn't need to attack through the air often. As a result, there weren't many opportunities for Jefferson. The rookie was more involved last week with four receptions and 40 offensive snaps, but the game script didn't work in his favor this week. Additionally, it was discouraging to see fourth-year receiver Josh Reynolds play more than Jefferson on Thursday, especially considering the freshman is probably the more talented receiver. The only silver lining is that rookie running back Cam Akers -- and fellow 2020, second-round pick -- put it all together with a breakout showing (194 yards from scrimmage), and head coach Sean McVay might consider seeing what his other prized rookie can contribute to the offense with the Rams building momentum for the postseason. Taking a wait-and-see approach with Jefferson is still advised in the majority of seasonal fantasy settings, t

Featured more in win
Jefferson caught four of five targets for 27 yards and played 40 of 83 offensive snaps during Sunday's 38-28 win over Arizona.
ANALYSIS
This was just the third multi-reception game of the season for Jefferson. However, his increased snap count is definitely encouraging, as he played more than No. 3 wide receiver Josh Reynolds (38 offensive snaps). While it could be a sign of things to come, it's unlikely Reynolds is completely leapfrogged by the rookie. Instead, Jefferson and Reynolds will probably see similar snap and target shares moving forward. Furthermore, splitting time as the No. 3 wideout likely won't provide enough opportunities for either pass catcher to consistently move the fantasy needle. With Reynolds in the final year of his rookie contract, Jefferson is positioned to see more work in 2021 and could be a sneaky stash in keeper/dynasty settings.

Scores first career touchdown
Jefferson caught his only target for a seven-yard touchdown during Monday's 27-24 win over Tampa Bay. He only played four offensive snaps.
ANALYSIS
The rookie has played sparingly to this point of the season and has just six receptions for 67 yards and the lone score over the past five games. However, he's only been targeted six times during the noted span, so Jefferson's efficiency is notable. Additionally, he's reinforced all the positive skills that have been attributed to him since being selected in Round 2 of the 2020 NFL Draft. While Jefferson's depth role has him off the fantasy radar in most seasonal settings for now, he's showing all the signs of developing into a quality receiver for years to come.
Nov 16, 2020
Plays just 13 snaps
Jefferson caught his only target for 15 yards during Sunday's 23-16 win over Seattle.
ANALYSIS
The rookie only played 13 offensive snaps and continues to be featured sparingly in the passing attack. Jefferson doesn't currently offer a lot of fantasy value, but he should be more involved in years to come. His long-term outlook remains promising.
Nov 2, 2020
Catches both targets
Jefferson caught both his targets for 23 yards during Sunday's 28-17 loss to Miami.
ANALYSIS
While the rookie played just 14 of 95 offensive snaps, he's now caught at least one pass in three consecutive games. Obviously, he'll need to do more to warrant a roster spot in most seasonal fantasy settings, but his long-term outlook remains intriguing.
Oct 27, 2020
Flashes with 14-yard catch
Jefferson caught his only target for 14 yards during Monday's 24-10 win over the Bears. He played just three of 72 offensive snaps.
ANALYSIS
All the hype Jefferson has garnered since being selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft was on display on his 14-yard reception Monday. The rookie ran an excellent route along the sideline, kept both feet in bounds while securing the difficult catch to move the chains. The reception also helped set up Los Angeles' first touchdown of the game. Still, Jefferson is buried on the depth chart and not receiving enough playing time to move the fantasy needle in the majority of seasonal leagues. Additionally, fellow wideout Josh Reynolds has a touchdown in consecutive games to continue affirming his status as the team's No. 3 wide receiver behind Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp.
Oct 19, 2020
Catches lone target
Jefferson caught an eight-yard pass during Sunday's 24-16 loss to San Francisco. He played just three offensive snaps.
ANALYSIS
This was just the sixth catch of the season for the rookie and first since Week 2, so while it's nice to see quarterback Jared Goff look Jefferson's way Sunday, he's probably still a long shot to be a reliable fantasy asset in the immediate future. Veteran receivers Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp and Josh Reynolds are consistently seeing more playing time, and tight ends Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett also remain active in the passing game. Jefferson's value is probably limited to keeper/dynasty settings at this stage of the season.
Oct 12, 2020
Not targeted in decisive win
Jefferson played 18 offensive snaps but wasn't targeted during Sunday's 30-10 win over Washington.
ANALYSIS
The rookie is off the seasonal fantasy radar at this point. He hasn't caught a pass since Week 2 and is playing sparingly. Jefferson garnered praise during the offseason and is billed as a polished route runner with plus-hands. However, it's clear that he's currently fourth on the wide receiver depth chart, and he's likely to continue being a non-factor until he becomes more involved in the offensive game plan. Still, fantasy managers looking ahead to the 2021 season in dynasty settings could consider Jefferson a buy-low candidate to speculatively stash.
Oct 5, 2020
Season-low snap count
Jefferson only played three offensive snaps and failed to catch his only target during Sunday's 17-9 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
The rookie has now played just 11 offensive snaps over the past two weeks, so fantasy managers should probably be looking elsewhere in the majority of seasonal settings. There's potential, especially in the years to come, but Jefferson's probably nothing more than a player to keep tabs on at this stage of the 2020 campaign.
Sep 28, 2020
Hardly plays against Bills
Jefferson only played eight offensive snaps and failed to catch his only target during Sunday's 35-32 loss to Buffalo.
ANALYSIS
This was a bit of a surprising disappearing act from Jefferson. Los Angeles turned to their three experienced wide receivers Sunday, and the rookie wasn't a factor. Third-year wideout Josh Reynolds played 62 snaps and was the clear-cut No. 3 option through the air against Buffalo with four receptions for 60 yards. As usual, Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods were busy. They combined for 14 receptions, 181 yards and two touchdowns. Jefferson remains an intriguing long-term prospect, but his immediate fantasy value is limited because of his position on the Los Angeles depth chart.
Sep 21, 2020
Makes most of playing time
Jefferson caught four of five targets for 45 yards during Sunday's 37-19 win over Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
The rookie played just 19 offensive snaps, so he was definitely a factor when on the field. Additionally, while fellow receiver Josh Reynolds played more (42 offensive snaps), he was only targeted twice. For the time being, it looks like both Jefferson and Reynolds will limit the other's production and upside, even if Jefferson is probably more talented and likely the best long-term option for the Rams and fantasy managers.
Sep 14, 2020
Shows off on 31-yard grab
Jefferson caught one of his three targets for 31 yards during Sunday's 20-17 win over Dallas.
ANALYSIS
While Jefferson only recorded the single catch, it was an impressive 31-yard reception showcasing the route running, separation and ball skills that have been attributed to the rookie throughout training camp. He played just 33 of 73 offensive snaps, which ranked fourth among Los Angeles wide receivers, but Jefferson could quickly carve out a larger role and leapfrog Josh Reynolds on the depth chart. Additionally, if Robert Woods or Cooper Kupp were ever injured, Jefferson is likely a better fit for an increased workload than Reynolds. Keep tabs on the rookie. His long-term outlook is promising.

Pushing for No. 3 job
Jefferson could see more opportunities than Josh Reynolds this season, according to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Rodrigue's projection of the 53-man roster suggests Jefferson -- rather than Reynolds -- will be the No. 3 receiver behind Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods. This outcome shouldn't be fully assumed, but it's a reasonable expectation given that Reynolds mostly failed to impress in previous opportunities and Jefferson is a second-round pick. We may not know for sure until after a Week 1 matchup with the Cowboys.

Impressing early in camp
Jefferson has caught head coach Sean McVay's eye thus far in training camp, Cameron DeSilva of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
In particular, McVay noted the rookie's separation skills, body control, work ethic and attention to detail in meetings. The praise shouldn't be surprising, though. Jefferson's father was a 13-year pro and is now a wide receivers coach with the Jets, and the Florida alum's route running was a highlighted strength leading into the 2020 NFL Draft. Additionally, Jefferson appears to be fully recovered from the foot surgery he underwent this past March. Still, with an unprecedented offseason and no preseason games, it's difficult to project the rookie's fantasy outlook. As it stands, Jefferson should carve out a role over the course of the season while battling fourth-year receiver Josh Reynolds for playing time as the No. 3 wideout on the depth chart behind Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods.

Getting healthier
Jefferson estimated that he's "90 percent healthy" from March surgery to repair a Jones fracture in his right foot, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports. "I'm in a shoe right now, jogging in the AlterG," Jefferson added Monday. "It's going good."
ANALYSIS
At the NFL Combine in February, Jefferson underwent a physical, which revealed the injury. In the end, it didn't impact his draft standing too much, as the Rams selected the wide receiver 57th overall. Jefferson split his college career between Mississippi and Florida, averaging 12.3 yards per catch and 8.0 yards per target while scoring 16 touchdowns in 45 games. Look for the 23-year-old to provide some relief in the receiving corps after L.A. dealt Brandin Cooks this offseason, but the group still figures to be lead by Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods and Josh Reynolds.
