Texas A&M Aggies vs. Vanderbilt Commodores

Tuesday, February 13, 2024 – 07:00 PM ET at Memorial Gymnasium

Is Tuesday a letdown spot for the Texas Aggies, or do they find themselves in a lookahead dilemma? In fact, it’s both for the Aggies when they head to Nashville for a matchup with the Vanderbilt Commodores.

Vandy Splits Last 4 Home Covers

A quick check of the top-rated sportsbooks shows Texas A&M isn’t expected to have much trouble. The Aggies are favored by 9 with 136½ for the total.

Buzz Williams brings his team to Music City off an impressive 85-69 win at home over Tennessee, and the Aggies will continue this road trip at Alabama this weekend.

The Commodores, meanwhile, fell to 1-9 in SEC play following a 75-60 loss at South Carolina, and they’re in a lookahead spot of their own with a trek to Knoxville to face those Volunteers.

Chalk Covers 8 of Last 10 Meetings

The teams met last March in Nashville, though technically it was a neutral-site affair since it came during the semifinals of the SEC Tournament. Favored by 5½, Texas A&M came out strong and led wire-to-wire in the 87-75 final that went past the total with a little less than six minutes left.

Their regular season meeting took place in College Station where A&M had to hold off a second-half challenge by Vanderbilt in a 72-66 decision. The Commodores won the two previous meetings at Memorial Gymnasium, both of those tilts also going ‘over’ the NCAAB odds.

Neither side is to be trusted for consistent offense, leaving us with a play on the final falling short of the total.

NCAAB Pick: Under 136½ (-110) at Bet365

Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Wisconsin Badgers

Tuesday, February 13, 2024 – 09:00 PM ET at Kohl Center

What in the heck has gone wrong in Madison?! After busting out of the gate winning eight of their first nine Big Ten games, the Wisconsin Badgers have plunged into a 4-game spiral heading into Tuesday’s tilt with Ohio State. Bet365 believes the streak ends with the Badgers -9.

OSU Leads Rivalry 95-78

The Buckeyes were one of Wisconsin’s early victims when the team met in Columbus about five weeks ago. It was a close affair with Ohio State leading by 2 with just under six minutes remaining, but the Badgers closed on a 17-4 run in the 71-60 final.

Ohio State was favored by 2½, and it marked the third consecutive meeting between the schools for the visitors to come out on top. It was also the third time the final fell short of the totals, though the ‘over’ has cashed three of the last four at Kohl Center.

Defensive Struggles in Madison

The Buckeyes just ended a 5-game losing streak of their own this past Saturday with a 79-75 win and cover against Maryland. The final had plenty to get past a 132½-point total, marking the fifth ‘over’ winner in the last six Ohio State games.

It’s always tough on the road, and Wisconsin’s losing streak includes three games out on the Big Ten highway. Problem is, they didn’t exactly come against the cream of the conference, while the lone home loss was to Purdue. The biggest trouble has been defense where the Badgers allowed 76+ PPG during the skid compared to 68.4 for the season.

Difficult to trust Wisconsin, even at home against a poor Ohio State bunch, and with neither side playing up to snuff on defense, we’ll take the ‘over.’

NCAAB Pick: Over 139½ (-110) at Bet365

Colorado State Rams vs. San Diego State Aztecs

Tuesday, February 13, 2024 – 09:00 PM ET at Viejas Arena

With a half-dozen teams contending to push their way into March Madness, it’s tough to find a better race among the mid-majors than the Mountain West. Colorado State and San Diego State are among those six, making their Tuesday tussle one of the evening’s most crucial games.

‘Under’ Cashes Last 3 at SDSU

The Rams and Aztecs met two weeks ago in Fort Collins, where Colorado State pulled away late for the 79-71 decision. Favored by 2½, the Rams built a 14-point lead in the first half before San Diego State got things together and made it close.

Colorado State then closed the game with a 19-10 spurt to end a 4-game Aztecs win streak in the series. San Diego State won three of those games last season, including a 19-point margin of victory in the game at Viejas Arena. The Aztecs lead the rivalry, 51-44.

Aztecs Exact a Little Revenge

Brian Dutcher’s group should come out ready to even things up with the Rams and claim a 74-67 win to keep pace in the league race.

NCAAB Pick: San Diego State -5½ (-110) at Bet365
