It never really matters where Purdue and Illinois are in the standings, but with both 4-2 and chasing Wisconsin in the Big Ten race, it should add to the action at top sportsbooks. That action includes the Badgers -10 with 151 for the scoreboard target.
For Purdue fans, winning the Big Ten a year ago was nice, but it wasn’t perfect since the Boilermakers lost both regular season meetings to Indiana. The game at Assembly Hall saw the Hoosiers enjoy a big first half then hold off the Boilermakers for a 79-74 triumph.
Indiana’s season sweep last year ended a 10-1 run in the rivalry by Purdue, and the Boilermakers own a 125-92 all-time advantage. Both of last year’s clashes went past totals in the upper-130s, ending a string of three consecutive ‘under’ winners in the series.

Purdue bounced back from just its second loss of the season with a 95-78 win over Penn State this past Saturday, just missing the cover as 18-point chalk. Indiana also rebounded from a road loss with an impressive 74-62 win over Minnesota this past Friday, easily covering the -4½.
Zach Edey had a big game in Bloomington a year ago with 34 points and 18 boards, but the Hoosiers effectively shut down the rest of the Boilermakers. Expect something similar this time and for Indiana to stay inside the number.

Baylor Bears vs. Kansas State Wildcats

Sandwiched between the two crucial Big Ten battles is a key Big 12 contest as the Baylor Bears put their unbeaten conference record on the line with a tough trip to the Little Apple to take on Kansas State.
‘Under’ Cashes in Baylor’s Last 3
The Bears moved to 3-0 in the Big 12 – and won their 5th in a row – on Saturday with a 62-59 decision over Cincinnati. Baylor was favored by 6½, and needed about a 6½-minute scoring drought by the Bearcats in the second half to avoid the upset.
Saturday wasn’t as kind to the Wildcats, who dropped a tough 60-59 decision on the road to Texas Tech. Kansas State let an 11-point halftime lead slip through their hands with 18 turnovers and a 10-point disadvantage in the paint.
Dai Dai Ames, a key backcourt piece in Jerome Tang’s rotation, missed the game in Lubbock due to a foot injury. The 6-1 freshman is listed as questionable to take the floor vs. Baylor.
‘Cats Broomed Bears in 2023
Kansas State upset the NCAAB odds with a season sweep of Baylor last season, winning the game at Bramlage as a 2-point underdog and pulling off an overtime win in Waco where the Wildcats were getting 7½. The Bears had won the previous seven, three of those in Manhattan.
Favored by 1 this time, Baylor gets the road win to stay perfect atop the Big 12.

Wisconsin Badgers vs. Penn State Nittany Lions

It’s never a surprise to see Wisconsin at or near the top of the Big Ten standings. But after beginning the season trailing a half-dozen others on the NCAAB futures, it is something of a mild shock to see the Badgers a perfect 5-0 on the league schedule.
Nittany Lions 4-5 ATS at Home
Bet365 believes the good times will continue for Greg Gard and the Badgers when they travel to Penn State on Tuesday. Wisconsin is giving up 6 with 145½ for the total.
The Badgers relied on a late burst to win their sixth in a row this past Saturday, scoring the game’s final 8 points to beat Northwestern, 71-63. AJ Storr’s jumper broke a 63-all tie with 2:32 remaining, and the 6-7 sophomore added four more free throws after that.
Holding the Wildcats scoreless at the end allowed Wisconsin to just beat the 7-point spread, the fifth consecutive cover for the Badgers.
Penn State dropped both games last week, a 76-72 defeat to Northwestern, followed by a 95-78 setback at Purdue on Saturday. Both losses skipped the totals, leaving ‘over’ bettors 4-1 across the Nittany Lions’ last five trips to the floor.
