Kansas State Wildcats vs. Texas Longhorns

Wednesday, March 13, 2024 – 07:00 PM ET at T-Mobile Center

Our AI Model suggests taking the Over for the Kansas State-Texas matchup in the second round of the Big 12 Tournament. Texas and Kansas State are slated to score 143 points, while the total on Bet365 is at 142.5.

Offensive Odyssey

In the second round of the Big 12 Tournament, Texas and Kansas State will face off in an exciting matchup.

Texas should earn plenty of points in transition off steals. Kansas State has turned the ball over 21.2% of the time, which ranks 349th in the nation. Meanwhile, Texas isn’t good on the offensive glass and will foul at a high rate. That’s where Kansas State will get its points.

Offensive Showdown

On the other hand, the Longhorns are one of the top 20 offenses in the nation. They might not see the foul line as much, but the Longhorns have still shot 36.6% from deep and 53.4% from inside the arc this season.

Like Kansas State, Texas should have success on the offensive glass and likely won’t turn the ball over nearly as much. They’ll have a high amount of shots in this game, which will only help them hit the Over with Kansas State.

Let’s side with the AI Model and back the Over 142.5 in this game.

NCAAB Pick: Over 142.5 (-110) at Bet365 (check our Bet365 Review)

North Carolina State Wolfpack vs. Syracuse Orange

Wednesday, March 13, 2024 – 07:00 PM ET at Capital One Arena

The AI Model likes the Under between the Wolfpack and Orange. The total projects to finish at 152, while Bet365 is carrying a total of 153. There’s enough value to take the Under.

Turnover Tussle

The Syracuse Orange finished the regular season with six wins in their last nine games. They’ll take on North Carolina State in the second round of the tournament, as the Wolfpack already added a tight win over Louisville yesterday.

Syracuse won’t earn many offensive rebounds. While they’ll get good looks from deep, the Orange have only made 33.4% from downtown this season, which is not entirely impressive.

Transition Control

Meanwhile, Syracuse likely won’t turn the ball over often. Knowing there won’t be many points in transition helps the under.

NC State has turned the ball over just 13.8% of the time. If they can keep turnovers down, the Wolfpack will be in better shape. Syracuse has added 20.4% of turnovers on the defensive end, and that’s ultimately where they have an edge. The Wolfpack have shot below 50% from inside the arc this season and probably won’t see the foul line at a high rate, with Syracuse ranking in the top 30 in FTA/FGA.

Therefore, I’m with the AI Model here. I like the Under between two teams that don’t shoot it particularly well. Neither team will dominate on the offensive glass, although North Carolina State figures to win that battle.

NCAAB Pick: Under 153 (-110) at Bet365

Michigan Wolverines vs. Penn State Nittany Lions

Wednesday, March 13, 2024 – 09:00 PM ET at Target Center

The AI Model likes Penn State to earn a seven-point victory over the Wolverines tonight. Meanwhile, Caesars Sportsbook has a 6.5-point line for Penn State on the board, providing value on the Nittany Lions tonight.

Michigan’s Misery

The Michigan Wolverines are the worst team in the Big Ten. A loss tonight would end the misery for the season, which is ideal.

The Wolverines finished the regular season with 18 losses in their last 20 games. They also lost to Penn State earlier in the year, 79-73. However, since that matchup in January, Michigan has only gotten worse.

The Wolverines have allowed teams to shoot 35.9% from downtown and 52% from inside the arc. They also haven’t earned many turnovers and have given up 30.7% of offensive rebounds. While Michigan might be okay on the defensive glass against Penn State, they won’t be good enough at keeping points off the board.

The Numbers Game

The Nittany Lions have hit 33.5% from deep and 51.4% from inside the arc. Penn State has also gotten to the foul line at a solid rate and has hit 74.2% from the charity stripe. On the other hand, Michigan has shot 36.3% from deep. They’ve also earned 30.3% of offensive rebounds. Those are the only two areas where Michigan has done well.

While the Wolverines might earn some offensive rebounds, the three-point looks won’t fall often, with Penn State holding teams to 30.7% from downtown this season.

Beyond that, the Nittany Lions have earned 20.7% of turnovers, which is 27th in the nation. With Michigan turning the ball over 18.4% of the time, Penn State should be able to force takeaways in this matchup and get points in transition.

Let’s grab Penn State at -6.5 here.

NCAAB Pick: Penn State -6.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook (check our Caesars Sportsbook Review)
