Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Navy Midshipmen
Saturday, October 26, 2024 – 12:00 PM ET at MetLife Stadium
Will Notre Dame Be Prepared On Saturday?
There are always one or two random games of the year where Notre Dame just doesn’t play up to par. They’ve already had one of those against Northern Illinois. But since then, they’ve reeled off five consecutive wins against four Power 4 conference opponents and Miami-OH.
However, this week’s game against Navy isn’t some random game. Navy is a top-25 team and 6-0. While the Midshipmen haven’t played a lot of competition, they’ve scored at least 34 points in every game this season.
It’s up to Notre Dame to get stops. The Fighting Irish have held four of their last five opponents to no more than 13 points. They’ll need to do that against the Navy’s incredible offense, and I don’t think they can.
Navy’s Got More Playmakers
I know this sounds wild. But Navy’s got more guys making plays consistently. Navy has a better offensive line unit statistically, and they keep their guys fresh. After all, eight players have had at least ten carries, and five have at least 157 yards rushing.
Brandon Horvath can do some incredible things. Notre Dame’s Riley Leonard is less of a threat than Brandon Horvath.
NCAAF Computer Pick
Notre Dame might sneak in a win. But I certainly don’t expect this game to get out of hand. Navy is 6-0 and ranked for a reason. Twelve points on a neutral field is way too many points.
NCAAF Pick: Navy +11.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
Oklahoma Sooners vs. Mississippi Rebels
Saturday, October 25, 2024 – 12:00 PM ET at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium
Oklahoma Isn’t Enjoying The SEC
The Oklahoma Sooners are 4-3 and soon-to-be 4-4.
The Sooners have lost three of their first four games in the SEC to Tennessee, Texas, and South Carolina. Ultimately, Oklahoma trailed South Carolina by 21 minutes into the game.
The Sooners have tried Michael Hawkins and Jackson Arnold as quarterbacks, and neither is giving Oklahoma good enough play. But the reality is that the entire team isn’t playing well. It’s not only on the quarterbacks.
Ole Miss Will Be Fine
The Ole Miss Rebels have lost two of their last three games. A win against South Carolina was sprinkled between two losses to Kentucky and LSU.
But after a heartbreaking loss to LSU a week ago, the Rebels got a bye week and a chance to regroup.
The Rebels have an accurate quarterback in Jaxson Dart and a team that almost knocked off LSU in Death Valley at night. They didn’t convert early in the game and couldn’t find the endzone toward the end of the game. But Ole Miss competed well against a top-ten team in the round.
They’ll bounce back.

The AI Model loves Ole Miss. I do, too.

Michigan State Spartans vs. Michigan Wolverines
Saturday, October 25, 2024 – 07:30 PM ET at Michigan Stadium
Michigan State’s Got The Momentum
The Michigan State Spartans just knocked off Iowa at home, 32-20, despite three consecutive losses before.
Michigan State scored no more than 19 points in any game over the last three but pounced on Iowa’s defense for 32.
They’ve got the momentum.
Aidan Chiles threw for 256 yards and one touchdown with an interception. The running game behind Kay’Ron Lynch-Adams also added 5.3 yards per carry on 40 attempts. More impressively, Michigan State held Iowa to only 12 first downs in the entire game and gave up just 283 total yards of offense. Iowa’s offense plays a lot like Michigan’s.
Michigan’s Offense Is Inept
Michigan has scored just 24 points in the last eight quarters. They’ve lost road games to Washington and Illinois and are now 4-3 after winning last year’s National Championship.
Does anyone remember Mel Tucker’s first crack at Michigan?
Tucker earned his first win as a Spartan over 13th-ranked Michigan. Now it’ll be Jonathan Smith’s chance to add a win as the first-year man for Michigan State.
It won’t be easy on the road. But Michigan looks much better after last week’s win against Iowa. Being on the road in a hostile environment won’t be easy. But analytically, Michigan State looks better offensively.
NCAAF Computer Pick
Back Michigan State at +6.5. You can even sprinkle the moneyline for Michigan State.
