NFL OROY: Players to Watch
Ashton Jeanty (+300)
It has been six seasons since a running back won this award, but Saquon Barkley did just that in 2018 when he was a rookie with the Giants.
Since that time, four quarterbacks and two wide receivers have won the coveted OROY Award, but the NFL oddsmakers believe that will change this season with the elusive Ashton Jeanty.
As far as Jeanty is concerned, he will get every opportunity to carry the rock in Las Vegas. The Raiders have a new coach in Pete Carroll and a new quarterback in Geno Smith. They are looking for a fresh start, and assuming the big boys in the trenches can blow holes for the No. 6 overall pick in April’s draft, then Jeanty could breeze to this award.
Cam Ward (+330)
The former Miami Hurricanes quarterback was the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and is now the face of the Tennessee Titans.
He will need much more than targets around him because time in the pocket is an even bigger weapon. The Titans are not known for having an aggressive offensive line, but they did sign former Steelers lineman Dan Hampton and have a bona fide stud in left guard Peter Skoronski.
Any conversation about a quarterback’s potential must begin with a discussion of the bodyguards who will be protecting him. The Titans were a bad team, and so too was their offensive line. However, they have improved, but by how much? It is tough to say.
Ward may have been the best quarterback of the 2025 class, but he is not a generational player who had teams salivating over him. Moreover, his stable of receivers is kind of—meh.
- Calvin Ridley is recovering from an injury, and he is now 30 years old.
- Tyler Lockett is coming from Seattle as a soon-to-be 33-year-old receiver.
- Van Jefferson’s main claim to fame is having the same last name as the best wideout in the game, Justin.
Not with my money am I betting on Ward as the OROY.
TreVeyon Henderson (+1200)
After several years of poor drafting, sanity has returned to Foxboro, and the Patriots may have gotten the steal of the second round in former Ohio State bulldozer TreVeyon Henderson.
Henderson has shone brightly during the preseason, and he could very well have secured the starting role in the Patriots’ backfield. However, assuming that this, the best-case scenario, is true, we should note that former No. 1 Rhamondre Stevenson is not exactly chopped liver and will not be relegated to the bench.
Henderson will need plenty of touches to secure the OROY Award, and although he is as talented as any running back in the league, Stevenson may vulture red zone possessions and ultimately short-distance touchdowns.
Tread cautiously with this pick, but by all means, tread.

The NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds are already up, and if you want to take a plunge on any of my selections above, like Ashton Jeanty, Cam Ward, or TreVeyon Henderson, then get down now. But remember, the lines on these players don’t stay stagnant forever. Odds, point spreads, and totals are dynamic, which means the moneylines and point spreads you see right now may not be around by gametime.
Therefore, it is important that you get the sharpest line available, and the only way to do that is to get down immediately on the games and make sure you have an active account.
That’s right, make certain your account is funded, and perhaps get accounts at two or more sportsbooks so you can compare the numbers. Make sure to get down at a place you trust and at the best lines or odds available.
