Tuesday’s NHL card represents some nice betting opportunities, and we are looking to target the best underdog bet of the night (in our opinion) as well as the young rookie Connor Bedard to get back on the scoreboard.
Picks Summary
- Panthers-Maple Leafs Under 6.5 (-130)
- Connor Bedard Anytime Goalscorer (+130)

Florida Panthers vs. Toronto Maple Leafs
Tuesday, November 28, 2023 – 07:00 PM ET at Scotiabank Arena
Betting Trends
- Both teams combined are 27-15 to the under 6.5 total line.
- 8 of the previous 8 games between these two teams has seen less than seven goals scored.
- Both teams come into this matchup having lost their previous two NHL games.
Low Scoring Affair Expected in Toronto
This is not only a matchup between two Atlantic Division teams who are looking to pick up their first win in two games, but it’s also a matchup between two strong defensive units, with Toronto and Florida only combining for 6.1 goals against.
Following two losses in a row for both teams, we suspect they will be eager to keep the puck out of their net. Florida games have been especially low-scoring recently, with an average of just 4.1 goals in their previous five games.
The Pick
We believe the under 6.5 goal line is the best bet for this NHL matchup, both teams are eager to win so it’s hard to call a winner here, but we can’t see Florida being involved in a high-scoring game here, and recent history between these two teams suggests we could be in for a low scoring game. Lay the juice with the total to go under in this NHL game.
NHL Pick: Under 6.5 Goals (-130) at Bet365
Seattle Kraken vs. Chicago Blackhawks
Tuesday, November 28, 2023 – 08:30 PM ET at United Center
Betting Trends
- Connor Bedard leads the Chicago Blackhawks with 17 points (10 goals and 7 assists).
- Seattle Kraken have allowed the 9th most goals this season (3.46).
Connor Bedard (Chicago Blackhawks)
Despite only managing to score once in the previous five games, we are more than prepared to get behind the young rookie to get on the scoreboard anytime on home ice against this Seattle Kraken team who are proving to be weaker than first imagined.
Bedard has scored 8 of his 10 goals on the road this season, so maybe it’s about time he scored on home ice again, having not done so since his goal against Florida six games ago.
Interestingly Bedard’s two goals on home ice came against both teams who made the Stanley Cup finals last season (Florida and Vegas).
The Pick
Seattle are not as strong as they were last season. Despite having a much better record than Chicago, they do allow more goals thus far this season compared to last.
Bedard’s betting odds to score anytime at +130 seem very fair considering he is the Blackhawks’ best goalscorer at the moment despite being in his rookie year.
This will be the rookie’s first game against Seattle, which is the nearest city to his hometown Vancouver. Although there’s not much of a rival so to speak, a goal against Seattle would be nice.
NHL Pick: Connor Bedard Anytime Goalscorer (+130) at Bet365
Vegas Golden Knights vs. Edmonton Oilers
Tuesday, November 28, 2023 – 09:00 PM ET at Rogers Place
Betting Trends
- Vegas are 1st in the Western Conference while Edmonton are 13th.
- The Golden Knights have won four of the previous six games against the Oilers.
Vegas Undervalued Despite Being on The Road
The Vegas Golden Knights being priced up as underdogs here seems almost unfathomable. Okay, they might be on the road and Edmonton might be on a two-game winning streak, but this Oilers team is not good anymore and their star players Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are looking for an out.
An 8-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks last time out isn’t anything to write home about for the Oilers. They have been incredibly poor defensively this season, having allowed 3.7 goals per game (3rd worst in NHL).
The Pick
The Vegas Golden Knights only allow 2.38 goals per game (3rd best in NHL) and should have no problem getting on the scoreboard against this weak Oilers goaltending/defense.
The Golden Knights are boasting a 14-7 record compared to Edmonton’s 7-13 record. Win or lose, the best bet here is for the team from Sin City to put a swift end to the Oilers winning streak.
NHL Pick: Golden Knights ML (+110) at Bet365
