There are 12 games taking place in the NHL tonight and we are looking at the NHL odds board to target two player props along with one game total to go over.
Trevor Moore has been consistent this season, Jason Robertson is yet to find the back of the net, and in a game that points towards a low-scoring affair, we are leaning the other way and betting the over.
- Trevor Moore Over 2.5 Shots (-125)
- Jets-Knights Over 5.5 Goals (-115)
- Jason Robertson Anytime Goalscorer (+120)
Thursday, October 19, 2023 – 08:00 PM EDT at Xcel Energy Center
- Trevor Moore averaged 2.75 shots per game last season, 3.4 during the post-season, and thus far this season, 3 shots per game.
- The total has gone over in 4 of Los Angeles’ last 6 games on the road.
- Moore has had a 100% success rate to his total shot going over the total thus far this season.
Trevor Moore (LA Kings)
It seems the LA Kings’ 26-year-old California native Trevor Moore is taking more responsibility on this team, having started the year in a very positive fashion.
Although Moore is mostly a 3rd liner, that’s mainly due to his teammates being almost unmovable. There are a lot of teams Moore would easily make the second line in this league, and even one or two he would be on the top line.
Moore had 29 points in 59 games last season (including a hat-trick against Edmonton).
Trevor Moore is hot right now; he is coming into this game off the back of a one-goal game and a 3-point game in which he scored twice and assisted. Ironically this was the least amount of minutes all season that Moore had played, having had 19 minutes in the opening two games, but he only played 14 minutes in the previous.
Take Moore to go over 2.5 shots in this matchup, we were surprised not to be laying more with this line, we would suggest betting this down to as low as -140 if you wish. Moore saw an average of 4 shots per game in three matchups against the Minnesota Wild last season.
NHL Pick: Trevor Moore Over 2.5 Shots (-125) at Bet365

- The total has gone under in 5 of Vegas’ last 6 games on the road.
- Winnipeg are 0-6 in their last 6 games against an opponent in the Pacific Division.
- The total has gone over in 4 of Vegas’ last 5 games when playing on the road against Winnipeg.
Golden Knights Hope to Continue Winning Streak
Excluding the preseason, the Vegas Golden Knights have won eight games in a row and only lost once in their previous twelve and four times in their previous twenty.
This is an impeccable run to be on, especially having just come back off a somewhat party and busier off-season due to being the Stanley Cup champions, but they have slotted right in where they left off, dominating the NHL.
Although the Winnipeg Jets seemed to have played some good hockey at times this season, they have only put together a 1-2 record, having conceded 14 goals and scored 10.
All-star goaltender Connor Hellebuyck is having a disaster of a season, allowing 4.07 goals per game with just an 84 save percentage. The Golden Knights will fancy their chances of continuing their winning streak against a cold goaltender.
The Golden Knights have won on their previous three visits to the Canada Life Centre, and all three games went over the total 5.5 having had 11, 9, and 6 goals in each game respectively.
With a cold goaltender in net, Vegas should feast, having already scored 3.9 goals per game. Winnipeg should be capable of scoring at least twice tonight, which is all we believe we will need of them to cash the over 5.5 goals, and for Vegas to win this one 4-3.
NHL Pick: Over 5.5 Goals (-115) at Bet365

- Jason Robertson ended last season as the Dallas Stars’ highest goalscorer, with 46 goals in 82 games (7th best overall).
- Robertson scored a hat trick in 1 of 3 games against Anaheim last season.
- Anaheim has allowed 3.5 goals per game this far this season and ended last year with the worst defense, allowing 4.10 goals per game.
Jason Robertson (Dallas Stars)
It’s been a slow start to the season for the Dallas Stars; with a star player in Jason Robertson. The 24-year-old, who is in his 5th full season, has so far failed to score in either opening game and only registered 0.5 shots on target per game. Not exactly the kinds of stats we expect to see from a guy who averaged 3.80 shots per game last season and led the team in goals and assists.
That said, we have yet to talk about tonight’s opponents, the Anaheim Ducks, who might be one of the worst teams defensively who allowed over 4 goals per game last season and 3.5 so far this season.
Roberston will be eager to get off the mark tonight, and no better time than now against one of the worst teams in the NHL at this moment.
NHL Pick: Jason Robertson Anytime Goalscorer (+120) at Bet365
