Their opponent today will not upset this trend. They face a Rangers team that only ended a four-game losing streak by eking past the losing Blues at home in their last game.

Being able to get a free goal with Buffalo feels like a gift because oddsmakers are slow to adjust to Buffalo’s improvement and to Pittsburgh’s decline.
