Has these teams met in round one the Jets would have been the team priced up at -166, if not more.
So why are the Stars now the favorites over Winnipeg despite a game seven victory? Well, that’s because the Dallas Stars beat a formidable opponent in the Colorado Avalanche, whilst the Jets were pretty much expected to beat the lowest ranked St Louis Blues by 2 or 3 games in the round one series. Unfortunately for the Jets, they looked exposed and very beatable, requiring a game seven to beat the Blues.
Not only did the Jets require a game seven, they left it as late as possible, losing the game 3-1 with three minutes left in the 3rd period, the Jets managed to tie the game at 3-3 with less than 5 seconds left on the clock, and then required double overtime to see off the Blues.

The Stars are on fire, but the Winnipeg Jets with look to cool their Jets with a strong home performance to change people’s minds about them.
The Jets are more than capable of beating Dallas on any given day, the Stars are good but beatable, the problem Winnipeg faces is how confident the Stars might be following their success over the Colorado Avalanche.
With all that being said, we can’t ignore the Winnipeg Jets’ strong home form and the fact that they are plus money to win this game. With a 9-1 home record, it’s hard to ignore the Jets despite their poor recent form against the Blues. It must be noted that they didn’t lose a single game of the series against the St Louis Blues.
