Over the last decade, we’ve watched this club go from a mid-table side into a European powerhouse. With an EPL title, FA Cup, and Champions League treble possible, they’re close to solidifying their position as the world’s most talented group.

This weekend’s Manchester derby is one of two games remaining in City’s season, as a meeting with Inter Milan in the UCL final is next. However, Guardiola is expected to field his strongest XI, with plenty of breathing room between Saturday and the June 10th European showdown.

City’s most recent meeting with their Manchester rivals ended badly, losing 2-1 at Old Trafford. However, the domestic reverse fixture at the Etihad saw Guardiola’s men run riot by dismantling their foes 6-3, and a current form that’s seen the Citizens stay unbeaten at home since November 2022 should strike fear into any opponent.

EFL Cup winners Manchester United seek their second piece of silverware for the season. They couldn’t challenge City or Arsenal in the EPL title race, but a top-four finish has gifted them with Champions League football next term.

Despite placing in the top four, The Red Devils watched their end-of-season form plummet. They’ve won just 3 of their last 10 games in all competitions, suffered defeats to West Ham, Brighton, Sevilla, and Newcastle, and more worryingly, were embarrassed 7-0 at the hands of Liverpool back in March 2023.

FA Cup Final Prediction, Odds, & Trends

The current betting odds naturally favor the blue side of Manchester as they’re producing some of the best football in EPL history. The FA Cup is one piece of the treble puzzle that Guardiola won’t surrender to his club’s biggest rival, and with such contrasting current forms, it isn’t easy to back anything other than a City win.

United have been impressive on home soil for the most part; they’ll now face the best team in Europe in unfamiliar territory. They’ve won just 1 of their last 6 away games in all competitions, and we expect this trend to continue.

However, to boost our odds, expecting Erik ten Hag’s men to get on the scoreline isn’t a big ask. Despite their recent dominance in all comps, City has conceded at least one goal in 6 of those previous 10 fixtures.

His debut game in the dugout saw a 3-0 win over his former club Borussia Dortmund, and he’s now guided the squad to a consecutive DFB-Pokal final, as a win this weekend would see this club lift the coveted German trophy on back-to-back occasions.

Domestically, Leipzig finished the Bundesliga in much greater form than their weekend opponents. Die Roten collected six straight wins in all competitions to end the term with an aggregate score of 16-5.

Eintracht Frankfurt

A solid coaching staff isn’t the same for Frankfurt. They went undefeated in the final three games of the domestic campaign but notably dropped in form following their elimination from the Champions League. The inconsistent form has produced the departure of head coach Oliver Glasner, who’ll step down after Saturday’s cup final.

There’s no denying that Leipzig enters the weekend in greater form, and with Glasner presenting one foot out of the door, we can’t trust the stability in Frankfurt.
