Los Angeles Clippers vs. Brooklyn Nets
Monday, February 6, 2023 – 07:30 PM EST at Barclays Center
Kawhi Leonard (Los Angeles Clippers)
- Over 26.5 points
The Brooklyn Nets will be fielding a new look team after a blockbuster trade that sent Kyrie Irving to the Dallas Mavericks. The Nets won their most recent outing without Irving, a 125-123 victory over the Washington Wizards.
The Los Angeles Clippers are 7-2 over their last nine games. Six of those wins were on the road. The Clippers’ most recent game was a 134-128 overtime win over the New York Knicks on Saturday night. Now they face Brooklyn.
The Pick
Using the OddsTrader app I found the NBA odds for this at FanDuel. The OddsTrader app helped me pinpoint this prop. This app had one of the biggest discrepancies on the board because under 28.5 points is available at PointsBet. Finding these discrepancies is a great way to use the app and get the best price available for the prop that you have selected.
Kawhi Leonard has gone over this prop in four of his last five games and eight of his last 10 games. Against the New York Knicks on Saturday, he scored 35 points. I don’t know why the books continue to set this prop so low but if they do, we will continue to take advantage of it.
NBA Pick: Kawhi Leonard Over 26.5 points (-114) at FanDuel
Dallas Mavericks vs. Utah Jazz
Monday, February 6, 2023 – 09:00 PM EST at Vivint Arena
Lauri Markkanen (Utah Jazz)
- Over 9 5 Rebounds
The Dallas Mavericks shook up the NBA world this weekend by acquiring Kyrie Irving from the Brooklyn Nets. Dallas is currently without superstar Luka Doncic and they also lost their most recent game 119-113 to the Golden State Warriors.
The Utah Jazz defeated the Dallas Mavericks without Luka Doncic on January 28th. The Jazz scored a 108-100 victory. In the win against Dallas on the 28th, Lauri Markkanen had 29 points.
The Pick
Lauri Markkanen has gone over this total in five of his last seven games. Dallas does not have a true center, and the Utah Jazz will take advantage of that. The Jazz will definitely use size to put pressure on the Mavericks with Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler in the lineup at the same time.
Lauri Markkanen has played at an All-Star level this season through his scoring and rebounding ability. Against a Mavericks team that is light in the middle, Markkanen will have another huge game tonight. Expect Lauri Markkanen to once again go Over on his rebounding total.
NBA Pick: Lauri Markkanen Over 9.5 rebounds (-122) at BetRivers
Sacramento Kings vs. Houston Rockets
Monday, February 6, 2023 – 08:00 PM EST at Toyota Center
Alperen Sengun (Houston Rockets)
- Double Double Yes
The Sacramento Kings are struggling on this road trip with De’Aaron Fox out of the lineup. The Kings suffered one of their worst losses of the season yesterday when they fell 136-104 to the New Orleans Pelicans.
Now they face the Houston Rockets for two games in a row in Houston. Sacramento won both games in which they played Houston earlier in the season. Those games were played in Sacramento in early January.
The Rockets are also coming off a tough loss. They gave up 153 points in a losing effort against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Rockets will be looking to bounce back tonight after an embarrassing effort.
The Pick
Alperen Sengun has recorded a double-double in five of his last nine games. With the high pace expected tonight when the Kings play the Rockets, there will be plenty of scoring and rebounding opportunities for the developing Turkish star.
Sengun got some rest against the Thunder as coach Stephen Silas opted to go with his bench players after a disappointing performance from the starters. We can expect the starters to attempt to make a statement and bounce back tonight. Sengun will lead the way with another double-double
NBA Pick: Alperen Sengun double-double Yes (-105) at BetMGM
